The Wisdom of Learning and Sublimation
It is disadvantageous for a person to be unable to summarise and sublimate. If one only learns without summarising, it is difficult to truly grasp the essence. A teacher once told me that if one can distill a thick book into a thin one, grasping the essence and applying the underlying relationships, one can understand everything. I have observed that some people are narrow-minded because they believe they only need to master one skill. However, we must understand that it is important to have a deep understanding of the essence of many things. Human comprehension is crucial. God created humans with a brain, which distinguishes us from all other creatures. An important concept to grasp is that learning requires abstraction, summarisation, sublimation, and grasping the essence of things, which makes everything simpler.
Reading philosophy is actually very important, such as dialectics in university, which is about viewing things dialectically. For example, we learned about On Contradiction (矛和盾) in elementary school. I have noticed that some recent students have not elevated their understanding of many things to a philosophical level. When I do something, I constantly learn to describe it.
I once worked with my colleagues to develop a software program, similar to the development of robots. I have done a lot of teaching and research, and I have found that some people complicate training, but I simplify it. Many things become easier to understand. If a person masters something, they will grasp its essence. The development of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) is like this; simplifying things is actually better. Many people find it difficult when studying philosophy, but we Chinese are amazing. During the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, we had already summarised concepts a thousand years ago. Our ancestors two thousand years ago knew the concept of alliance strategies (合纵连横). We abstract some principles and combine them with real facts to see the underlying principles.
Early Chinese ancient philosophy, particularly Legalism, governed the country in an orderly manner. I have found that our God also has a bit of a Legalistic flavour. Guan Zhong (管子) had a dialogue with Duke Huan of Qi (齐桓公), in which Guan Zhong explained the matter very clearly. Duke Huan of Qi, as the ruler of the state, said that he wanted to collect head taxes from the people, taxing them for every child born. Guan Zhong said that this was not good; if that were the case, fewer children would be born. The people's consumption of food and drink is constant, and the use of salt is particularly high. We can proportionally tax the salt merchants, which will subtly collect a lot of taxes.
When I drive on elevated roads in Hainan, the cost of fuel actually includes the toll fee, so you rarely see many toll stations. People are constantly understanding the essence of things, expanding their knowledge, and sublimating various things to the philosophical level, so the content of the matter is not much. If you do not sublimate things to a philosophical concept, it is difficult to understand. Everyone is familiar with the term inferring three things from one instance (举一反三). A person's contact surface constantly expands, and if each surface is sublimated to a philosophical level, it will be well sublimated. Some people live very well, and if you are anxious, it is actually useless. People who do not sublimate and summarise need to study hard.
I will teach you a few points. If you are in management, if a supervisor is too kind to their subordinates, they will not be a very good manager; if a mother loves her child to the point of spoiling them, the child will not love the mother; if a father does not discipline his child well, the child will not respect the father. I did not understand these things before, but after I became a department manager, I found that when I was very nice to my subordinates, they became ungrateful and did not work hard. But later I discovered that managing people requires the Way (道).
The Power of Abstraction and Summarisation
Today is a knowledge-based society, and people need to constantly break through. I also abstract, summarise, and sublimate in management, and I have found that insightfully discerning people and solving problems requires care. When I ponder this matter, I apply the teachings of Legalism, which requires having the Way. I asked my subordinates if they wanted to earn more money. They said they did. I said you need to become more experienced. If a person just sits there drinking coffee, they will not gain experience, right? You need to solve problems.
If you have never summarised and sublimated in the past, you need to start understanding from a perceptive level now. Start thinking carefully with your brain, constantly learning, summarising, and sublimating. You will find that some things become more and more efficient, and you will see the essence of life. I often see some brothers and sisters with confused minds. Actually, laziness is not the solution to the problem. You need to constantly recognise God perceptively and have a clear understanding. The father of one of my classmates was the deputy mayor of the local area, and his family had many books, but my family did not have many books. I saw that some of my classmates were influenced by books. The family of a scholarly family was influenced by their family. His grandfather (姥爷) had him read many ancient philosophical classics. That old man had a lot of experience to impart. Based on his grandfather's foundation, that classmate worked in a large enterprise after graduating from university and became the general manager in one year. But he was no longer satisfied and later started his own business, operating a large factory. He later shared with me the reason for his rapid development: he had the concept of summarisation and abstraction from an early age.
I read Selected Works of Mao Zedong (毛泽东选集), On Contradiction (矛盾论), and On Practice (实践论) from a young age, and I found that everything is a constant and clear understanding of things. Now is the era of digital marketing, and we need to have a clear understanding of this, and have a vision for the development of generations. In fact, the physical economy of some clothing and electrical appliances has been affected by e-commerce because there is no great vision for the trend. The wheels of history are rolling forward, never try to stop the chariot with your arms (历史的车轮是滚滚向前,永远不要螳臂当车). People cannot resist the development of the world. Society and the world are constantly developing. We must have an essential vision of things, know what work is all about, and constantly learn about the design of houses and the processing of work data.
All colours need to be matched; if the colours are not right, it is not good. We need to understand more about this world. Ancient China had five tones, but they are infinitely changeable. The five tones can produce many beautiful music. This is the essence of things, matching suitable things well. In fact, C major and D major are separate. Everything needs to be abstracted. If you do not understand the inner essence and mess around blindly, it is difficult. I encourage brothers and sisters not to have too narrow a range of knowledge. Everyone must understand the concepts of philosophical things.
Everyone should not refuse to do new things. Every time you do new things, it is an opportunity to sublimate the essence of things. We must know that history is actually like a mirror. This generation is very complex. The whole society is undergoing a great transformation. In the animal world, the selection of a new monkey king, wolf king, or lion king requires a bloody battle, which is a life-and-death process, all experiencing real fights.
Everyone must master various laws, learn to abstract and summarise, and do things efficiently. If you are often confused, you need to sort things out, study hard, and learn the essence of everything. Learning RPA is about knowing its great abstract essence, which will surely build you up a lot. May God bless everyone!
Greetings.
