Recently, Spirited Away was re-released, sparking a wave of nostalgic reflection on growing up, with the most resonating sentiment being: When I was a child, I thought I would be Chihiro, but as I grew up, I realized that, unknowingly, I had become No-Face. These words are filled with sighs and helplessness.
The reason this film resonates with so many, I believe, is because No-Face is extremely similar to us in real life. Living, we forget who we are, forgetting the fundamental meaning of human existence. To survive, we resign ourselves to servitude day after day, constantly being alienated and becoming corporate slaves, the ending filled with desolation and emptiness... However, I feel that the ending of a person should not be like this. I have been searching for the meaning of human existence, why people come into this world, and what were we created for?
In Revelation Chapter 4, it says:
You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being. (Revelation 4:11)
Since all things were created by God's will, and God's will is for people to be worthy of glory, honor, and power, then why do we live out shame, baseness, and servitude? For whom is the door in heaven opened? What does what must take place after this refer to?
Why Do We Live?
Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” (Revelation 4:8)
The twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” (Revelation 4:10-11)
Many people find these verses dull after reading them. Today's Christians, what you think after reading this passage determines what kind of person you are. All things exist because they were created by God's will. When people live on earth according to their own will, it is meaningless. In God's view, things on earth and things in heaven are very different. John's view is:
After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.” (Revelation 4:1)
God had him go up to Him, what John saw was very exciting. But today, people reading the Bible are not so excited, it seems a bit dull. But John wrote it down truthfully, he must have seen a very magical thing, and he himself wanted to live like that. Do people live for God's will or for our own eating, drinking, and having fun?
What people are interested in and what they think is good immediately differentiates people's value system. A friend, his mother liked to play mahjong, and then died at the mahjong table. Everyone has a different value system, there will be very different points of view, I can't understand playing mahjong all night long, what is this doing? Some people think worshipping God is boring, which is more boring?
People who play mahjong never forget the excitement of playing mahjong, people who worship God never forget the excitement of worshipping God. Actually, these are not important! What is important is: Why do we people come into this world? What were we created for? It is because of God's will that we were created. The universe and all things on earth are created because of God's will, because they are created because of God's will, it is only natural that they return to God's will.
We are created and come into this world, the key is to carry out God's will, serving God and worshipping Him is a good hope. Everyone has different pursuits, dung beetles are born to roll dung balls, some people are born to play mahjong, some people are born to live by eating and drinking. But I feel that living shouldn't be like this, I have been searching for the meaning of living.
I live for God, I was created and came into this world because of God's will, I wish God's will be done in me as it is in heaven, can you understand? I had one idea before I believed in the Lord, and after I believed in the Lord it was a completely different idea, why? Because of one thing: I feel that living in the world, I can't find the meaning of living. John was already eighty or ninety years old, because of his belief in the Lord, he was exiled to the island of Patmos, the island was desolate, it was very painful for people to live in that environment, he longed to enter into the presence of God.
In fact, in the New Testament Bible, besides John, there is another person called the Apostle Paul, they are both in the same vein, that is, they feel that they are tired of living in the world, they don't think that living in this world is for the sake of living, they think that living like that has no meaning. If you think that living is for the sake of living, think that living is a very interesting thing, then you live it out for me to see? In fact, the result will definitely be very bleak.
So today brothers and sisters, you read this passage, can you try to say first, I live is vanity, I want to enter into the presence of God, I wish God's will be done in me, we are created for a purpose.
All Things Exist According to God's Will
Mobile phones, everyone has one now. My mother, she also wants a good mobile phone, I bought her one. She always thought we were using good mobile phones, but actually she was using the best one, that mobile phone takes clear photos even in backlight, it is very advanced. This mobile phone is created, it was originally used to make calls, but now it is used more widely.
The mobile phone is created to fulfill its destiny, allowing people to use it. If a mobile phone is produced and no one uses it, and it is thrown directly into the trash can, is this a good mobile phone? No. The mobile phone is created according to man's will, the purpose of the mobile phone being created is for people to use it. A good mobile phone, people like to use it. The people God created, if they are willing to be used by God, then it is like a mobile phone that meets people's needs.
The way to distinguish between good and bad people is to see what they do and don't do, and my way to distinguish is to see whether God's will is accomplished in them. If God's will is accomplished in us, it determines what kind of person this person is. In fact, all these things are created because of God's will, then is the existence of the devil God's will? Yes, it is created because of God's will. Then what is the meaning of the devil's existence? The meaning of the devil's existence is to clear garbage, so the people God created are used to manifest His glory, honor, and power.
He also created a group of people to manifest His anger, those who manifest His anger are taken away by the devil. If a person can fulfill God's will in him, then he will live out God's glory, honor, and power, restore God's image, so that he can be with God forever. We are talking about Revelation Chapter 4, and we will tell you the last paragraph at the beginning.
The Bible is written to us with a characteristic, that is, it allows us to be like God, although He is our God, but in fact we have the image of God. After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. John saw God talking to him, seven letters to the messengers of the various churches, after each paragraph is finished is how the victorious is, and then all the churches are like what the Bible says, whoever has ears can hear. After these seven letters, he looked, and saw the door in heaven was opened, it turned out that there was a door in heaven, if you can't enter the door in heaven, then it should be a great regret in one's life.
Today we must know that after being victorious you will see the door in heaven open to us, this is God's will, God's will is to constantly reveal Himself to us, to reveal to us what must take place after this. I feel that in this era I am in today, I don't understand God's will too much, what will be revealed to us what must take place after this, then what can we see? What you see is the great throne, God sitting on it.
Entering into Victory
It is God sitting on the throne, in front are four living creatures and twenty-four seats, sitting on them are four elders, wearing white robes and golden crowns. You must know for sure one thing, the presence of God, that is, the presence of the mighty God, is the answer to all problems, the presence of God is a very beautiful thing. If you ask me what I pursue in this life? I pursue the presence of God, if a person can have the presence of God in his life, then what could be better than this?
So today you must know for sure that a victorious Christian, a victorious church, what is the highest ideal he pursues? It is the presence of God. If we come into the presence of God, that kind of experience is very shocking, you will see lightning, thunder, and noises coming from the throne, that is to say, our God is mighty, great and awesome, that is to say, the problems we mortals experience in this world, if we bring down the power of God from the throne, then all the problems will be solved.
That is to say, we begin to see today, see that our God is mighty, great and awesome. Then see seven lamps of fire being lit before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God, before the throne it is like a sea of glass, like a crystal sea, and around the throne, and on the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes all around.
Let's talk about these twenty-four elders first, wearing white robes and golden crowns; you must know that in the kingdom of God there are no maids or slaves, all are God's people, these twenty-four elders are all wearing golden crowns. Whether you like this or not, I don't know, it's a matter of opinion, but I like this very much.
Who can get this golden crown? It is the victorious who get the crown. From Revelation Chapter 1 to Chapter 4, they all reveal a very important truth, which is victory. The theological concept we are conveying today is not about whether you are saved, but about whether you are victorious.
The theological concept of victory is that no matter what, you must come out of weakness and begin to enter into God's victory. We can see that God's will is for us to be victorious, God's will is definitely not for us to live like losers, nor is it for us to live in weakness and failure.
If we are victorious, we will open the door of heaven, enter into the presence of God, the presence of God will come down from heaven, God's will can not only be done on earth as it is done in heaven, God's will can also be done in us as it is done in heaven.
God's will was originally unimpeded on earth, but because He gave His authority, the authority to manage the whole earth, to man, but man violated His will, so today brothers and sisters must know that we people must restore glory, honor, and power, this is originally God's will, God's will is that we can live out glory, honor, and power.
Yearning for God's Presence
Today, God is about to do something on earth, which is to carry out His salvation, so that God's will may be done on earth as it is in heaven. Because God's will in heaven is unimpeded, and no one can resist it, but we humans often resist God's will. When we begin to restore the image of God's glory, honor, and authority, God's will on earth will be unimpeded, and then, God's presence and power can be manifested in us.
These seven lamps are the seven spirits of God, and God is spirit. God lives because He is a spirit, and man lives because of the spirit. Did you think that old John went there in the flesh? In fact, we can't explain it clearly here, and Paul can't explain it clearly either. They felt that they went up, but in fact, it was their spirit that went up. So it is the spirit that gives life, and this spirit is the Spirit of God.
You should know that in the presence of God's Spirit, did you see those four living creatures eating anything? No. They don't need to eat anything; they eat God's presence. The twenty-four elders prostrate themselves before the throne, worshiping the One who lives forever and ever. Did you see what they ate? In fact, they don't need that.
Moses was on the mountain with God for forty days and nights, without sleeping or eating. How did Moses live? Everyone should know that with God's presence, the human spirit will be extremely prosperous. To what extent? When Moses came down from the mountain, his face was glowing. Can you understand that? I still don't understand it now. His face was like a light bulb. How scary!
But that is God's presence. We may not be able to understand God's presence in our days on earth, but there are a few things we can understand: the first thing is that God is a spirit, and it is the spirit that gives life. I can testify to this. When the Spirit of God is upon a person, the Lord Jesus did not eat or drink for forty days and nights in the wilderness. Can you say that he was weak in the wilderness? That's not true. But after forty days and nights, the devil came to tempt him, and angels were ministering to him. Jesus was not emaciated from hunger. Don't misunderstand. When we have God's presence, when we live in God's will, wonderful things will happen to us.
Living Out God's Glory
This is the flu season. How many people have caught a cold and are very sick, but among us, those who often worship, pray, and serve God are completely unaffected during this flu season. Few people among us catch colds, except for those who do not pray often, do not have God's presence, or whose wills of God cannot be done in them. These people indeed have a problem.
So, brothers and sisters, you must know that God is a spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth. So today, the theological concepts we convey are not only theological concepts but also a real theology, worshiping God in spirit and truth. Not only honestly, but also truly living on earth as in heaven, allowing us to truly live out God's glory on earth, that is, to put God's word into practice. This is the most important thing.
Another very important thing is that we worship God in spirit and truth. When we worship God in spirit, we worship Him with our spirit. After God's presence is manifested, it can not only solve problems of eating and medical care but also solve many other problems. That is truly wonderful. When we pray and worship in the spirit, and the Spirit of God moves upon us, do you know what you will find? You will find that God's will will be fulfilled in us.
Today, our service to God is difficult for many to understand. Oh, what's the point of this? It's better to play mahjong, it's better to have fun, it's better to eat, drink, and be merry. Now you know what? When we serve God, God's Spirit is with us; when we love the world and cater to the flesh, the devil is with us. I ask you: if the devil is with you, can you still live well? It is impossible to live well.
When you get old, you will have senile dementia; when you are young, you will have early dementia. If you don't agree, that's okay. I think it's very good to have God's presence. Then, if there are four living creatures before God, covered with eyes all around, what are these eyes for? In fact, eyes are very spiritual. You will find that when a person's spirit is very prosperous, their eyes are bright; but if a person's spirit is withered and dry, their eyes will be dim. So, the eyes are a very important expression of whether a person's spirit is prosperous. So, earlier, it was said that God is a spirit, and later, it was said that the four living creatures are covered with eyes all around.
What exactly do the four living creatures look like? It is not completely described in these few verses. But they don't appear to be pleasing animals. Covered with eyes all around, how scary is that? But whether it's scary or not doesn't matter; we won't interpret it blindly. The four living creatures each have six wings and are covered with eyes all around. From this, we know one thing: that eyes and spirit are closely related, which is fully reflected here.
So, you must use spiritual eyes to see this passage, so that you can live a God-centered life. We are created according to God's will, and living a God-centered life will definitely bring forth goodness, will definitely live out God's glory, honor, and authority. We are also here on earth to manifest God's glory, honor, and authority. This is originally God's will.
Having a Long-Term Vision
Having a long-term vision, then what we have within us is no longer a concept that is carnal and worldly. The view in concept is the view in viewing, that is, what kind of eyes you use to view the world, then the world you see will be what it is. How does a person view this value? How does a person view the matter of living? That is a person's worldview, outlook on life, and values. Christians have Christian worldviews, outlooks on life, and values, but if a Christian's worldviews, outlooks on life, and values are still the same as those of ordinary people, then you should not be called a Christian; you should be called a worldling.
A Christian's worldview, outlook on life, values, and interpersonal relationships should all be consistent with Jesus Christ. We come into this world to fulfill God's will for you in this world. God wants to restore His glory, honor, and authority in you. So today, brothers and sisters, you must live boldly according to God's word, live out God's presence, live out God's glory, authority, and honor.
Today, you must know that as we continue to walk in this way, we will open a new historical chapter in human history, that is, the victorious church and the victorious Christians will open a new historical chapter in human history, because when we read the first chapter of Revelation, we see that human history is all in God's hands.
So today, everyone's vision really needs to change. What should we change our vision to? We must change it to a spiritual vision. Our God is a spirit. If our eyes can see clearly, then when God is examining your heart, He will definitely know what you are thinking in your heart and know what your eyes are looking at.
If you have spiritual eyes, you will emulate Abraham and Jacob, clinging tightly to God, rather than clinging to eating, drinking, and having fun, or clinging to worldly things. Today, brothers and sisters, you must change your vision. After reading this passage, if you feel that this thing is not very fun, you need to change your vision. It's not about whether it's fun or not, but whether we are living in God's will.
Actually, to be honest, living in God's will in this world is not for the feeling of eating, drinking, and having fun; it is a responsibility, it is the responsibility for which we were created. I hope that brothers and sisters will all have spiritual eyes, see clearly the essence of the emptiness of life, and then see clearly what the meaning of our creation and coming into this world is, see clearly what God's good will for us is, and then we will live it out, live out the meaning of being created. What did we come into this world to do? Why exactly? Why were we born? Why did we come into this world? And what are we living for? The answer is to live out God's glory, honor, and authority. May God bless everyone.
