Introduction

Good day to everyone. Let's turn to Genesis chapter 6. Genesis chapter 6 reveals a very interesting truth called The Way of Destruction and Salvation. Destruction and salvation run throughout human history. Through Genesis chapter 6, God shows us how the path of destruction is walked, and also allows us to see how the path of salvation is walked.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must know that God created two kinds of people: those who are destined for destruction and those who are destined for salvation. If you want to be a person destined for destruction, it is easy – just live like the people of the world, living for the sake of living. But if you want to be saved, then you must carefully ponder how the path of salvation is walked out. Even today, I feel that many among us are still filled with admiration for the mighty and famous who are destined for destruction.

Think about it, for example, when a child's mother sees that her child is not doing well in school, she becomes very anxious. When she sees that other people's children are doing exceptionally well and are top students, she feels very sad. But people rarely investigate how those top students live later in life. It seems they don't live particularly well. So after investigating, would you still want to be that kind of person? This is quite interesting. I can give many examples. What we humans investigate is still far from enough, but if you investigate more, you will come to a conclusion: Do you want to be like Noah, or do you want to be like the mighty and famous people of that generation who were full of violence? You have to make this choice yourself. So it seems we have not understood the logic revealed in the Bible particularly well.

See if your children are being caught up in the rat race of academic achievement, feeling miserable as a result. There are only two paths in this world: one is the path of destruction, and the other is the path of salvation. Which path will you take today? A few days ago, I saw a video describing what happened to top scorers in the national college entrance examination (Gaokao) from various places. Many of these top scorers seem to have not lived well in their lives. I don't know if anyone among us has investigated this matter. Not only do they not live well, but they also cannot withstand setbacks. What if they are top scorers today but not tomorrow?

When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. Then the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is fleshly: his days shall be 120 years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the ground, man and beast and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” (Genesis 6:1-6)

Let's analyze the path of destruction. We carefully ponder it. First, they are fleshly and carnal, and they are very powerful and violent people. Their actions and thoughts are corrupt. They have children with the sons of God and become the mighty men of renown. God's Spirit will not abide in them forever. The path of salvation is only Noah. Noah walked with God. God's Spirit did not leave him. His thoughts and actions were all according to God's logical framework, living by relying on God. He did whatever God commanded, and God established a covenant with him.

Spiritual or Carnal

Whether a person is spiritual or carnal determines whether you are destined for destruction or for salvation. If you are a carnal person, living and planning for carnal things, all your planning will lead to destruction. A spiritual person sees through the fact that people live and then die, so they no longer live for carnal things. They eat and drink, but they do not live for their flesh; they live by relying on God.

So in the New Testament, what is the use of baptism, whether it is in a bathhouse, a swimming pool, a ditch, or even if you buy a plane ticket and travel a long way to the Jordan River to be baptized? It is of little use. In the end, it still depends on whether you are a carnal, fleshly person or a spiritual person. The way of life of a carnal person is very interesting. If anyone threatens their life, threatens their carnal existence, that won't do. If you threaten my life, then I will get rid of you. This is Cain and Lamech, and in the end, they also died. Carnal and fleshly versus spiritual and godly – these are two completely different kinds of people. A spiritual person knows that they will definitely leave this world in the future, so they no longer live for the sake of living, and they no longer care about living.

I have seen many Christians who are afraid of death. Are there any among us who are afraid of death? Preparing for carnal things all day long. What to eat, what to drink, where to live, what to use, investing, managing finances, accumulating a lot of things, and then retiring, planning, achieving financial freedom – does this exist? If so, ask yourself whether you are a vessel of destruction or a vessel of salvation. A vessel of salvation knows that living is meaningless, so they need God, and they seek God, hoping that God can save them. This is Noah's logic.

Some Christians I have met are full of interest in carnal things. But after reading God's word, they feel nothing about spiritual things. There are even Christians who have been believers for 20 years and have never read the Bible. I asked them, How many years have you been a believer? They said, Twenty years. I said, What have you been doing? They said, I serve God. I said, How do you serve God? They said, I cook for the brothers and sisters in the church. This is quite interesting. You cook for the brothers and sisters, which is quite carnal. Are there any among us who cook for the brothers and sisters in the church? Cooking for twenty years without a clear understanding of God's word, living in confusion.

I want to tell everyone that a spiritual person sees through everything. The first thing they see through is life and death. They have no great interest in living. Physical existence becomes meaningless to a spiritual person. Taking spiritual things and life and death very seriously is what it means to be spiritual. If you truly inherit Chinese Mingding Destiny, you will despise living. You will say that living is a simple thing, making money is a simple thing.

“My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is fleshly.” (Genesis 6:3)

Strong or Weak

Let us reflect on whether we have the logic of the strong or the logic of the weak. If you want to be a strong person, a mighty man of renown, then you are a vessel of destruction. If you are very clear that you are a weak person, then you need God, and you need to be strong through God.

Observe carefully that in our generation, since the twentieth century, there has been the First World War. Do you know why they fought? For money, to compete for resources in the world. But the people who fought in the First World War are gone. Why was there the Second World War? For money. It was all for the sake of living. Where did those who fought in the Second World War go? Some became war criminals and were sent to the gallows, like Hideki Tojo or Hitler. The victor is king, the loser is a bandit. If Hideki Tojo and Hitler had won, they would have sent the Allied forces to the gallows. The world is like this, whether you like it or not. Those who fought in the Second World War for money and resources, for the sake of living, ultimately did not survive. This is the logic of the strong.

If you worship top students in school, but you can't beat them in video games or in studies, the result is that you become entangled, frustrated, and sad. Why? Because you admire these strong people. But the problem is that they don't know that these strong people ultimately face destruction. It seems that being weak has become an advantage. Because you know that you are a weak person, so you know that you need God! A strong person doesn't need God much. Have you ever seen a strong person needing to trust in God?

Actually, I have made this matter quite clear. Are there still many among us who like to be a strong person? Who like to be a mighty man of renown? This is not an easy turn to make. When I was young, I particularly admired people like Zhuge Liang, who could frown, calculate with his fingers, and come up with a plan. He was simply amazing! He gave Liu Bei and Zhao Yun three brocade pouches. The Prime Minister was incredibly prescient. As a result, he campaigned east and west for his whole life, launching six expeditions to Mount Qi, and eventually died on the Wuzhang Plains in his fifties. Later, I understood that I cannot be that kind of person.

Some people have children and hope that their children will be like Zhuge Liang, which is the logic of a strong person. Then other people have children and hope that they will be like Sun Quan. People in this generation worship strong people. It is simply the main culture of this generation. For example, Qin Shi Huang was very powerful. But I have now lived longer than Qin Shi Huang and longer than Zhuge Liang. I have already lived longer than them. If our brothers and sisters live past sixty, you will all live longer than them. Actually, comparing in this way is meaningless. What I am saying is, what exactly is in your mind? If you only think that Zhuge Liang was amazing, then you are finished! You have become a vessel of destruction.

Everyone in Noah's generation was swept away by the flood, and only Noah's family of eight was saved. So are you a weak person or a violent person? When we read about Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Bible, do you know the logic system within them? What was Abraham's logic system? His wife was taken away, but he trusted in God and believed that God would surely protect him, so he did not fight. He did not live by the sword. Think carefully: Abraham's logic system was not to fight, not the logic of a strong person. Isaac was also not a strong person. His wells were taken away. If they were taken away, they were taken away. I will not take them back; I will dig another one. It was taken away again, so I dug another one; it was taken away again, so I dug another one. As a result, Isaac happened to encounter a year of famine that year, and in that year of famine, Isaac had a hundredfold harvest.

Please tell me, is it better to rely on God or to rely on your own flesh, like the strongman logic system of Cain and Lamech? Of course, it is better to rely on God! So let's start adjusting. Let others be their top students; let others be their strong people; let others be amazing. Let's not idly join in the rat race with others. Someone said to me, Teacher, someone as amazing as you is fortunate to serve God. If someone as shrewd as you did not serve God, how many people would you harm? Everyone's concerns are superfluous. My kind of shrewdness is a kind of weak shrewdness. When have you ever seen me fighting with someone, grabbing you by the collar and pulling your hair?

When I was young, I knew to walk with my head down, not the kind of head-down that involves playing with your phone. People at that time didn't have phones or watches; they didn't have anything to look at. Why did I look down? Because you can't look around blindly. My living environment was too cruel when I was young. There were many very powerful campus bullies at that time, not top students. If you looked up, they would ask, What are you looking at? If I replied, What if I'm looking at you? then there would be big trouble. Those local thugs would stab you with a knife. I could only walk with my head down because I was weak, but this is called weak shrewdness!

Because I am weak, I am not entangled when others do better than me in their studies. I am not entangled when others score higher than me on exams. What do I care about those things? I have never joined the rat race with others since I was young. The strong have a logic of competition, but they are easily caught up in the rat race. As for whether others have been caught up in the rat race because of me, I don't know. I only know that I don't compare myself with others. I thank God! I also thank my mother! My mother often said to me, Child, don't work too hard. My mother didn't care much about my studies either. She thought it was fine to study like this and that I just needed to get by. Later, when I went to university, I told my mother that I could take the postgraduate entrance exam after graduating, and my mother said to me, What do you want to do with that? It's good enough to have a college degree.

Everyone thinks I am very self-disciplined. If your child is not self-disciplined, don't get him caught up in the rat race either. What am I saying? I am fortunate to have God. My whole life has been that of a weak person, never competing with others. Since I was young, I had a dream that everyone could have a soccer ball. Why? Because when I played soccer on the field, I couldn't even kick the ball after playing for a whole game. I couldn't snatch the ball all the time, so I thought how fun it would be if everyone had a ball! I am telling a joke here. But if it were an ordinary child, wouldn't they be caught up in the rat race? I thank God! I didn't take it to heart that I couldn't kick the ball.

What is the problem? The problem is that I have a concept inside that it doesn't matter that I have never been good since I was young! Later, I knew that it's great to have God when you're as weak as I am! When you're as weak as I am, you don't compete with people, and you don't snatch from people. Since I was young, my mother has always been very assured of me, knowing that I wouldn't cause trouble when I went out. I also don't look at people, and I don't say to people, What are you looking at? I never fought with people. One of my classmates was actually stabbed to death when I was young. I was naturally sensible, and I didn't know why I was like this. But I knew that I couldn't beat others. Was there any other way? I was a good child.

Later, I found that living was not very meaningful. After getting to know God, I treated God as a treasure. My weakness has become strength. I have become stronger, but I don't go against others; I haven't become a 杠精 quarrelsome person. I don't go against others, and I don't argue or fight. If the boss has work that no one wants to do, I will do it, and I will do it well. As a result, I found that this is called shrewdness. Never be a strong person, and don't thirst to be a strong person. If you thirst to be a strong person, you are also on the path of destruction! We must often boast of our weaknesses and not boast of our strengths. Because carnal people take their own abilities as the foundation, while spiritual people take God's abilities as the foundation, turning carnal weakness into spiritual strength.

What One Thinks Determines Destruction or Salvation

What one thinks is our logical system. What one thinks determines destruction or salvation. If you think, I want to be Genghis Khan; I want to be Qin Shi Huang; I want to be Emperor Wu of Han, or if someone says, I want to surpass all of them, including Qin Shi Huang and Emperor Wu of Han, then is the final result good or bad? From the history we learned in elementary school, we feel that these people were all very amazing! What exactly are you thinking about? The intentions of the thoughts of your heart is only evil continually.

Do you know what it means to be only evil continually? It means that everything you think about is yourself: I want to get this; I want to get that. If you can't get it, you will join the rat race with others. If I want to get something and you get it, then I can't get it. There is only one first place in the class. If he is first place, then you are not first place. Isn't this fatal? The education we have received since childhood is, A soldier who doesn't want to be a general is not a good soldier. From a young age, we have to cross a single-plank bridge with thousands of troops, and those who don't make it all fall into the river. Actually, it is all wrong.

What does Chinese Mingding Destiny pursue? I want to be a blessing to others; I want to bless them; I want to give them benefits. When everyone gradually understands these things, do you think it will be chaotic? Everyone knows that our Chinese Mingding Destiny is a systematic theology. Why is it systematic? We must know that this is a logical system. What people think in their heads is that the earth is only so big; there is only so much oil; there is only so much gas. If you grab more, then I will get less. If you get less, then I will grab and obtain more, and that's all there is to it.

Everyone knows that there is a game called a zero-sum game. The market is only so big. If you want to get more of the market, you have to make your competitors lose some of the market. When you think like this, the intention of the thoughts of your heart is only evil continually. But if it is not this set of logic, what set of logic is it? My set of logic is that I always give out. If I always give out, who will give to me? God will give to me. The system we live in today is not a closed system, but an open system. It is not a zero-sum game; it is a multiplication game.

Do you know why? Because God injects resources into it. If you count the resources that God injects from heaven, then there will be no zero-sum game on earth; it will be multiplied. When people come to our Chinese Mingding Destiny, many are blessed. Why? Because the heavenly resources are open to you, and you have the keys to the kingdom of heaven in your hand. Do you know how Jesus defined the church? When Jesus defined the church, He defined it as giving you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. What are the keys for? The keys can open the gates of heaven. It's not just one key but a bunch. If you are a steward holding a bunch of keys, when you open the door and this warehouse is full of gold, and you open another warehouse and it is full of silver, you are incredible, right?

What are the keys to the kingdom of heaven given to you for? So that you can draw on the resources of heaven! This is powerful in my research results. I tell you that today, if you form a logic of the keys to the kingdom of heaven—the resources on earth are limited, but the resources of God's kingdom are unlimited—when you calculate in this way, you often think, I want to bring the resources of the kingdom of heaven to earth to be a blessing to others. The more I bless others, the more heavenly resources I will get. The more I get, the more I will give out. The more I give out, the more I will get from the kingdom of heaven. I ask you, will your minds still be full of evil?

Why is it so difficult to give out when your mind is full of ways to just take? That's what they think. Then there are other people who think, How come this thing is in his hands? I have to take it away; This vineyard is good; I have to get it; This oil field is good; I have to get it; This natural gas is good; I have to get it; This natural resource of iron ore is good; I have to get it! Everything is good. People are just circling to seize territory, to see which country has more land, to see which country has more resources on its land, etc. Oh! People's thinking must change!

In this generation, are you yearning to be a blessing to others, or are you yearning to take resources from others? We must have a clear concept. Let me give you a wonderful example of God's work. A long time ago, they said that the world's oil would run out by such and such a year. Ten years later, the news came out that an oil field had been discovered in such and such a place, containing so many billions of tons of oil. Later, they said that the oil would be used up in thirty years. After those thirty years passed, everyone discovered oil fields again.

I was wondering, wasn't it proven that the oil was not enough at that time? At that time, they did drill an eye here and drill an eye there, doing an investigation here and an investigation there. After the investigation, they said that there was no oil in this place. How did it suddenly become full of oil later? Because that resource is determined by God. If God says there is, then there is. So don't worry that there won't be enough oil in this world. When I was young, some people said that the population of this earth could not increase anymore; after it increased, the resources of this earth would not be enough. Later, China had 1.4 billion people and no one starved, right? Isn't that amazing? Isn't it true that the earth can sustain another 10 billion or 20 billion people? Because God supplies the resources for people to live.

A couple came to me weeping after the wife became pregnant! They were still wiping their tears when they came to me. I said, Why are you crying? They said, This child will have to live a hard life with me after he is born. We have no money! I said, The child comes with his own provisions. People are raised by God. So once you think that resources are limited, then it's bad. You will think about taking resources from others. Today, we have to change. The thoughts in our minds must be about the resources of heaven. The resources of our heavenly Father's house are unlimited. Especially preachers, their hearts cannot be poor.

Brothers and sisters, you must know that the church is not supported by your offerings. The church is supported by God. God gives us too many resources. If you feel that the church is supported by you, then there is a problem. I met a businessman who lost all his money. Why did he lose it all? Because he wanted to do business to support those poor preachers. Everyone must know that poor preachers are poor because they have no Dao; what they preach is not the Dao, so they are poor. He wanted to support these preachers who had no Dao, and as a result, he lost all his money. He called me and said, Pray for my money. I have never heard of praying for your money. I said, What is there to pray for your money? He said, All my money is gone.

I felt that how could people not know that the heavenly Father is rich? Everyone must know, don't be silly. Never use your money to support preachers; preachers are supported by heaven. You must develop a solid foundation of truth. Why were people violent at that time? Because they were seizing resources. Why were they seizing resources? In order to live well, but in fact, they didn't live well. Whether you live well or not is determined by God.

Since ancient times, there have only been two paths: the path of destruction and the path of blessing. Which path you take is closely related to what you think in your head. You say that you can't do anything without money, but in fact, life without God is fatal! What's the use of having money? Some time ago, a particularly wealthy person got a disease and came all the way from Indonesia to Singapore for treatment. They used the best medicine and the best treatment, lived in the most expensive hospital in Singapore, and spent millions, which is worth several million in RMB, but they still died. They used the best medicine - look at that brain! Can money really save people? Money cannot save people. If people's thinking is wrong, their actions cannot be right.

Human Behaviour

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. (Genesis 6:12)

Noah did everything as God commanded him. Was it faith or works? It was the human thought that guided human behaviour. Some time ago, someone told me something interesting. He said, Teacher, I am willing to lay down my life for God. I love God very much. I said, You love God very much and are willing to lay down your life for him, so why don't you tithe? He said, Tithing is a bit difficult, but laying down my life for God is not difficult. After hearing this, I felt something was wrong! What kind of logic is this? It's deceptive logic! He values money over life, thinking money is more important than life. When you offer your life to God, money becomes unimportant because life is gone. That was his reasoning. This person, who has no Mingding Destiny, says he loves God very much. Later, I said, Go somewhere else and love God properly.

What kind of behaviour you have, dictates what kind of thought system you have. There is a joke saying somebody said, If I had a billion dollars, I would give it all to you. If I had a hundred million, I would give it all to you too. Someone then asked, Can you give me your car then! He said, I cannot give you that. Why can't he give away the car? Because I actually own the car. What I really have, I cannot give away. What I don't have, I can say anything, because I don't have ten billion anyway. This is just incredible, the logic. Therefore people’s thoughts and behaviours are closely linked. He's back again recently. Why? Can he avoid destruction with this logic system? It will certainly lead to destruction and curses, that is why he came back to the church.

The Spiritual Realm

When it comes to the spiritual realm, people eventually conclude that the spiritual world is very real. Because the spiritual realm is very real, they will seek guidance from the White Dragon King to make their acting career better, in order to achieve their goals of becoming an actor. And those who do business are closely related to the spiritual realm. Businessmen worship a lot. I once visited a city where they drove past a street. He said, The buildings on both sides of this street were bought by a certain company. I thought it was incredible. This guy has trillions of assets! The boss with trillions of assets has built a large idol hall in the company, filled with idols, and employees have to worship them. Another large real estate company does the same.

There was a Christian working in their company, and the boss said, You must worship my idols, then our business will be good. Does this occur to you as strange? It's not somewhere else but in mainland China. The Christians there experienced great tension because the spiritual realm is very powerful. But the problem arises. Isn't it strange? They know there is a spiritual realm, but they do not know there is eternal life. They are preparing only for this life. They also know that one day they will turn to dust, and all these things will become fleeting clouds, but they still worship. They live entirely for the things of this life, engaging with the spiritual realm, worshipping idols, and even raising ghost servants.

Does the spiritual realm like to communicate with people? Yes, the spiritual realm enjoys that. Many of our brothers and sisters have terrible things in their minds. They even ask me, Teacher, why is it effective for him to worship idols? I said, If it's effective, then you just do it too! These things in the spiritual realm also like to find people. You know, among the mighty men of old, they had six fingers and six toes. Even in David's time, it was like that. Goliath, whom David killed, was a giant, one of the great men. It wasn't just six fingers on the hands, but both feet also had six toes. Isn't that powerful? Back then, all the giants were like that, with twenty-four digits on their bodies, and they were all enormous.

Where did these people come from? They were born from the sons of God cohabiting with the daughters of men, giving birth to such beings. These things are closely related to the spiritual realm, and they are all mighty, famous, and very powerful people. Isn't this the spiritual realm at work? As this spiritual realm continues to influence, people become more and more corrupt. Why? Imagine if your neighbour is a mighty and famous man, and he says your house is his house. Eventually, you will be driven out. Your land will become his land, and you can't defeat him. It's too much to handle.

So, in Noah's time, there were many mighty and famous people on earth who were engaging in the spiritual realm. As a result, some people became like Yang Bailao, extremely poor. They don't care if you are poor or not; they only care about themselves. That's how it is. So, where did the sons of God come from? We cannot investigate that. However, we can know that these things are closely related to the spiritual realm. Let's not investigate who the sons of God are, but I'll tell you that Satan is also a son of God. Satan is also among the sons of God. This is the spiritual realm, but Noah also engaged in the spiritual realm. Noah engaged with God's spiritual realm, while these people engaged with the devil's spiritual realm. By engaging with the devil's spiritual realm, they became vessels of destruction. By engaging with God's spiritual realm, walking with God, they were saved by God.

That is to say, today we must see clearly how Noah was saved and how the people of that generation brought about their own destruction. We must make the right choice! Could the mighty men bully Noah? They couldn't, because God protected him. People who walk with God, even if the generation is chaotic, others cannot harm you. When those people thought about harming you, they would feel uncomfortable, and they would stop. If God is with you, people cannot harm you. There was a pastor who was later arrested, and many people thought he was suffering for God. Do you think he was suffering for God? No. I know his classmate. His classmate told me, Do you think he was suffering for God? No. He hung a large banner in the church, prohibiting speaking in tongues. By prohibiting speaking in tongues, do you think God wouldn't send the government to deal with him? Later, he sat in jail for a few years. Who dealt with him while he was in jail? God dealt with him. Even demons must obey God's words.

Everyone must know that although these powerful people are very formidable, can God manage them? God absolutely can manage them. God can not only destroy them but also manage them. He will prevent them from thinking that way so they cannot harm Noah. Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must know, which spiritual realm is good to engage with? It is good to engage with God's spiritual realm. If God is standing next to you as you walk with Him, who can harm you? No one can harm you.

I think this sharing on Genesis chapter 6 is different from my previous sharing. After summarizing the sharing, I am not dwelling on what angels are. The most important thing is to hope that brothers and sisters can make a wise choice, and from now on, no longer carry a logic system of the strong, but live with a godly logic system. If you are powerful and have God's presence, even when the whole world is destroyed, you will not be destroyed. Why? Because you walk with God! Have you seen people constantly expanding their territory? Noah was still occupying that small piece of land. People expanded till death. Those who do well in academically, will hit the books till death. Play computer games to win the world championship, play hard. Run a businesses well, to become a world-renowned enterprise, operate well. What does it have to do with us? Nothing at all. Shouldn't we just walk well with God?

Turning living into a simple thing, that is a smart choice. Fortunately, you are not academic stars, and you are not corporate tycoons in the business world, and you are not political strongmen in the political world. Then I congratulate you, you are a weak person like me. Then let's learn from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. No longer live by the sword, but rely on God's protection, relying on our pleasing God, that will be great. From now on, know that you cannot protect yourself. Only God can protect us and save us, then it will be easy to handle.

Summary

Therefore, brothers and sisters, dedicating yourselves to God and becoming people with Mingding Destiny is an incomparably good choice. Even if the whole world in Noah's generation was destroyed, God still saves us. Because who to destroy and who to save is up to God. So let go of our mentality of envying other people's children going to international schools, because our children go to spiritual schools; other people's children find the best tutoring, but our children do not need tutoring; other people's children are world champions, but our own children are not champions of anything. That's good, is there a problem? No problem! Because all these things in this life are not important. If they are not important, what am I competing for? Learn from my mother. My mother often said to me: Child, don't exhaust yourself.

After I say this, do the mothers among us feel a little more relaxed? Stop forcing your kids to do those things. Don't exhaust yourself. If the child is too carnal, you can deal with it. Genesis Chapter 6

6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
6:3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6:6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
6:7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
6:10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
6:14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
6:15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
6:16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
6:18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
6:19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
6:20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
6:21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
6:22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
