Introduction

Good day, everyone. Let us study the third chapter of 1 John. 1 John is too difficult to read; I have never understood it since I became a believer. Moreover, the related Bible studies I have read have not explained it clearly. Whether it is that they have not explained it clearly, or that I have not understood it, I suspect they are much like me, and no one understands it. There is a crucial issue lurking here, which is why does everyone not understand it? Those born of God do not sin, so how can those who do not sin live? People sin daily; the problem is that we have lowered God's standards.

No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. (1 John 3:9)

God's standards have never been lowered, but rather we do not believe in God's words and live in the world all day long, living according to the world's logical system. Others live out an official position, yet you live out arthritis, aching here and there, living out various strange diseases, even getting cancer. Others' prayers are effective, but ours are not; what is the problem? The problem is that the logic system within us is wrong. Upon seeing God's standards, our natural reaction is that it is impossible! Then we cannot read it.

Let us reread the third chapter of 1 John, written by the Elder John. This chapter is about loving one another as God has commanded us. Everyone should write this sentence down and let it be deeply engraved in our hearts. In the depths of my heart, there is a great perplexity, which I believe you must also have, and that is whether it is worth it for us to pay the price for the Lord in this world. My conclusion is that it is worth it, and that is to execute God's commands even unto death. Those are commands, and military orders are like mountains; do not think it is a joke. Some say that God's commands are so useful; can they be eaten as food, spent as money, or taken as medicine? I do not know what they are thinking, but that is not my perplexity. My perplexity is how to carry out God's commands?

Problems and困扰s Faced by the Church

I guess the church at that time did not understand this letter written by the Elder John, because they also faced many problems and 困扰s. The Elder John wrote this sentence with great significance, because the world's logical system constantly drills into the church, and demons love to enter the church. If you believe in the Lord, you must be careful, because demons love to attach themselves to believers. Are you frightened by hearing this? If not, then you need to be frightened.

The reason is simple; let me tell you a ghost story. Satan gave the demons a command, which is to corrupt the church for a reward. The demons said it is difficult to corrupt the church, but going to nightclubs is not okay, because there is no need to corrupt them. So the demons waited at the entrance of the church, and the brothers and sisters of the church went in and out. Whenever there was an opportunity, they would be possessed by the demons, depending on whether the system inside you is the same as the demons.

Over the past few years, I have deeply learned many lessons in the process of serving. One person I once served had nothing to show for her ten years in Singapore. Looking at her financial situation, she felt uncomfortable, and we were also anxious. Sometimes, we wished she could quickly marry a handsome and rich man, but what if she met someone who was neither tall nor handsome, and not even rich? Would that not be worse?

One day, the demon on her began to manifest. She originally could not sing, but on the day of the exorcism, she began to sing opera and even sang at a professional level. It was our first time seeing this. Upon dialogue, we learned that the demon attached to her was called Xiaoqing. Several generations ago, her ancestors were wealthy people. In the wealthy family, there was a concubine named Xiaoqing, who often sang mournful songs during her lifetime and later hanged herself. Up until her generation, Xiaoqing's demon lived inside her, because the system inside her was of the world.

After she came to the church, she began to slowly learn to love God through our teachings, and the demon could not hide. As soon as we exorcised the demon, it was revealed. I told it to leave, and the demon said it had nowhere to go. I told it to go to the nightclub in the back, but it refused, saying it had to go to the church. It told me that Satan sent it specifically to corrupt the church, and it could not complete its mission by going to the nightclub. It also said that it would die if it could not complete its mission. It was like a telecommunications fraud gang, very cruel. Demons are actually very helpless in doing their tasks. I suggested that it go to another church, because my friend is a pastor there. The demon still refused, saying that the church was full of farmers. I said it was picky, and it said that farmers love the world, and it specifically looks for churches that love God.

I am saying this because demons were doing the same thing in the days of the Elder John. I also thank God for revealing these things. Some churches have already been corrupted, and there is no reward for corrupting them further. Churches that love the world wrap themselves in a religious cloak, and the pastors on the stage tell the members to say to the people next to them: Jesus loves you, and I love you! I hate things that only stay on the level of words. Anyone can do superficial work, such as embracing the people next to you and saying Jesus loves you. I am unwilling to do such things.

Many problems and 困扰s faced by the church come from the spiritual realm. These people believe that one cannot live without sinning and loving the world. You will find that the church is the place that likes to do superficial work the most, verbally saying they believe in Jesus, but they do not truly believe! They are all doing superficial work, being hypocritical. They believe that if one has no actions, it does not matter. Did Paul not say that he is not based on actions, but on faith? They believe that if they sin, there is still an advocate, Jesus Christ, so Jesus becomes their rag. Rags are so useful; just wipe them when you use them. It does not matter if you sin, because there is the precious blood of Jesus. Are you all very used to this sound?

And this is his command: We must love one another. (1 John 3:11)

In fact, the key to solving the problem is to love one another, not with human love, but with God's love, and it is also God's command. The Elder John said that he seems to be telling everyone a new command, because you do not know the old command. But in fact, it is not. Jesus had already talked about loving one another, and this standard has never been lowered. The law was originally a very low baseline. If you love God, then loving one another would have long surpassed the law, and you would not need to keep the law. The problem is that people love the world. For example, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life are everywhere in the church. How many people really dare to stand there and boldly say the words love one another? They only talk about love, and they can never finish loving.

Then the 困扰 of love comes. Paul and John pushed the standard back to God's height. Why is that not okay? Why are people confused? Now put your hand on your chest and ask yourself, am I a child of God or a child of the devil? The child of the devil is the nature of sin. Some say that they were only half born from Jesus Christ, a difficult birth, and their heads had to be pinched like zucchini? So let us brothers and sisters no longer have this 困扰, okay? This is God's standard, no longer defending ourselves.

If we love one another, would there still be these problems? Would we still show a sullen face? No. The reason why you give me a hard time and argue with me, and argue so fiercely, is because you love yourself. When have you ever loved me? Some people say they love me very much, but they are not much different from those in the previous churches; otherwise, why would they still argue with me?

It is not that I am a standard. If we are all benefiting each other, there should not be any problems between us. But now the problem is that I want to deal with your flesh, and you want to follow your flesh, so there will definitely be conflicts between us. Chinese Mingding Destiny has solved many confusions. The first one it solved was the standard problem. Although I have not yet reached God's standards, I am working hard to move towards God's standards. How many of God's standards are there? Loving one another is one of them, and being healed is also one. If you carefully examine the Bible, whether it was in Jesus' time or the generation mentioned in Acts, everyone was healed, but people do not believe. It is not difficult for all that we ask for to be satisfied, nor is it difficult for us to receive God's response to all that we ask for in God.

We thank God that we see a cloud of witnesses among us, but you are satisfied, but I am still not satisfied. There are still many prayers that do not receive a response, and the reason is very simple: there are still many ways in which we are not like God. So the greatest 困扰 is the 困扰 of love. The questions in our Q&A sessions all stem from confusion, but that is not difficult for me. Because I have a concept: this is God's standard, which solves all confusions at once.

The 困扰 of Love

The word love is the most confusing. In the past few years, what I have experienced the most is that he loves me but wants to control me. I was wondering whether he was loving me or loving himself? Later, I discovered that the love between many couples is also this kind of love, loving each other to death, extremely painfully. Because of love, they love and kill each other. In fact, that is all loving oneself. If they all loved each other, they would not do that. People will not deliberately make the other person uncomfortable because they love that person. If you love God, you will diligently obey God's commands and love one another, but if you love yourself, you will make God very uncomfortable.

These confusions of love are all because they use carnal love and bring in the world's logical system. The love of children for their mothers and the love of mothers for their children are not God's love, and many things are very evil. This worldly, carnal love, even if a tiger does not eat its cubs, is still a carnal love, and this kind of love is useless. When you get to the church, this love becomes even more confusing. Do you think you love when someone casually says, Jesus loves you, and I love you? Even if you shout it ten thousand times, and I shout it twenty thousand times, and everyone drinks tea together and shouts until their throats are dry, drinks some tea, and continues to shout, that does not represent anything.

Some people see brothers and sisters in pain and say, Jesus loves you, and I love you. If I were in a hospital bed, I would really want to know how you would love me. You cannot answer, just like an old-fashioned teapot, only the mouth is good. Maybe now even the mouth cannot be bought for a few cents, and then the mouth becomes the mouth of a dead duck, which is stubborn. What, he absolutely loves God, sings a love song to God, and then he loves God? It is not like that. You must diligently obey God's commands and do according

Good brothers lay down their lives for one another, yet I haven't even asked you to lay down your life for me, and you're already reluctant. If I were to truly ask you to lay down your life, you'd probably be making a quick escape. Let's test whether we're really willing to lay down our lives for one another. What's in our bones? Let's deal with it practically. Don't call the guilty innocent, don't pretend to be holy. Use God's standard to examine yourselves and see your filth.

If a person admits their sin, Jesus can still save them. But if they don't admit their sin, if they think they're very holy and can swagger down the street, with steam practically rising from their head, that won't do. Jesus can't save them. The Lord has already set an example for us. Everyone must truly deal with sin and be willing to lay down their lives for one another. Laying down one's life isn't a common standard. It means seeing through life and death, seeing through the triviality of human life. People must let go of these things to be able to lay down their lives for one another. If your hope is still in this world, you can't go on. This is where the confusion of love lies.

**We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. (1 John 3:14)**

I know who you prayed for in the middle of the night to be healed. Paying a price is normal, but that's not laying down your life. If it really endangers your core interests, what will you choose? We don't even need to do it for real. Even in a simulation, you might not pass. So, know that loving God is the key to solving sin. You don't need to cut off this curse or that curse. Loving God can cancel out all curses. Loving God is the key to solving problems, but loving God isn't just casually saying, I love Jesus. A test will reveal whether you truly love your brothers.

If someone offends us, can we bear their offense? Jesus was offended by us, but He didn't crush us. Jesus didn't argue for Himself. If we measure ourselves by this standard, few people truly love Jesus. But everyone must know that even if few remain, this is God's standard. Some might ask, Can you do it? I'm also trying. How do we measure it? By whether God listens to my prayers, whether everything I ask for is granted, and whether God remembers me.

## The Confusion of Sin

**Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. (1 John 3:4-10)**

These words seem simple, but they're hard to accept. We must ask why Christians in that generation were just as confused as Christians today. What are they confused about? Those born of God don't sin; those who sin are of the devil. Let's consider why people sin so carefully. It's because people have the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life within them.

If we fill ourselves with the world's logic system, we can't help but sin. That's Old Ma. Then, after sinning, when we see others doing better, we become envious, jealous, and hateful. We think, If it weren't for people like you, my sin wouldn't be revealed. Why do you have to be ahead of me? But comparison is useless. We must use God's light to shine on ourselves. If sin belongs to the devil, then the devil is legally dwelling in you. Those who idly discern good and evil, indulge the flesh, and love the world will pay a painful price. Remember, there must be a standard to measure these things, a standard that lets us know what's more important and what's less, what's worthwhile and what's not.

If people don't believe, it's a sin, and they'll pay a heavy price for it. If the devil doesn't come looking for you, God will send someone to mess with you. So, resolve the confusion of love and the confusion of sin. Don't think that if you can't reach the standard, you should just give up. Even if you can't reach it, try hard, and God will remember your effort. We must adjust our attitude. If our ability is lacking, God will add to it, but attitude is your choice. Our attitude is too terrible, whether we come from different churches or are homegrown in our own church. We're very skilled at pretending. We must take off this false exterior and come to God with our hearts and in truth, because it's worth it.

You can offend the world's ghosts, you can offend people, but you must not offend God. Sinning is offending God. Being of the flesh and of the world is offending God. If people love money, they can't help but sin, but why can't I find anyone who loves ghost money? Who puts a stack of ghost money under their pillow to burn when they die? No one does that. Everyone recognizes green as dollars and red as RMB. A stack of ten thousand yuan is made up of hundred-yuan bills bundled together. So, everyone must get this right. We should learn a lesson from Cain.

**Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous. (1 John 3:12)**

People shouldn't sin. No matter how much confusion you have, you must know one thing: your illnesses are closely related to your sins. People have already paid a heavy price for their sins. Why continue to do such foolish things? Why continue to be so foolish? When will people turn away from evil? Because I love God, I lay down my life for you. I don't have the right to ask you to lay down your life for me, but you have the right to ask yourself to lay down your life for the love of your brothers. If you lay down your life, money is no longer a problem. The world, face, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life are also no longer problems. Everything is easily solved.

## The Children of God Must Have the Likeness of God

The children of God must have the likeness of God. This is an important discourse in Chinese Mingding Destiny. It wasn't invented this year. Many years ago, my heart longed to be like Jesus. But how can I be like Jesus? I thought about this every day. I've wanted to be like Jesus since I was in my thirties. Some people think, How can someone like you imagine being like Jesus? They negate me with one sentence. But that's what the 《Bible》 says: the children of God must be like God. When He appears, we must be like Him.

**Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure. (1 John 3:2-3)**

Don't think that we'll be like Him only when the Lord Jesus appears at the end of the world. The Lord Jesus appears to those who love Him. Our Lord Jesus is also very humorous. After being crucified and resurrected, He didn't appear to the Jewish chief priests who killed Him. If the Lord Jesus had walked through the wall and patted those Jewish chief priests, saying that He was alive again, it would have scared them to death. After our Lord Jesus resurrected, He appeared to the disciples who loved Him, eager to appear among us every day. What does He reveal? It's to have the power of His resurrection cover us, so we must be like Him.

We yearn to be like God, to do what Jesus did, because we're the children of God. Believe what Jesus believed, believe what Jesus said. Our logic system is that we're the children of God. If you're the children of God, you won't lack anything, so is it necessary to love the world? If you say you're the children of God, a noble prince, but you still love the world, isn't that strange? Loving the world to the point of always feeling like you don't have this or don't have that. Not knowing that you're a noble prince, not knowing that we're born of God, that we're the children of God, not knowing that we have God's likeness on us, and not knowing that we hold the authority given to us by Jesus Christ, that becomes a tragedy.

Why should people's logic system be like Cain's? Cain was a psychopath, very painful, just because his offering wasn't accepted, he killed his brother. Why should we be like him? If a person is already a child of God, then they lack nothing. Let God's love become our command, to love one another according to the command God has given us. Why not do something so worthwhile? That's the likeness of God. God died for us when we were still sinners, and died on the cross.

But now we get angry when we see a little fault or bad temper in others. We really need to understand what's inside us. Do you want to be like the children of God, to have God's image? If you have God's image, your creativity will explode, and the blessings within will explode. If you're the children of God and have God's likeness, will you still ask a bunch of questions about how to live?

**If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but withholds compassion from them, how can the love of God be in that person? (1 John 3:17)**

Some people see their brothers and sisters in need, but they withhold compassion. Of course, you shouldn't give money to a drug addict to pay off their drug debts, nor should you give money to a gambler to pay off their gambling debts. But if they're short of a meal, it's very simple to give them money for a meal. A bowl of hot dry noodles costs 15 yuan in the city, but it only costs 7 yuan on the outskirts of the city. No matter how far away, we can scan a code for them.

So, we must know that God wants us to completely remove sin and overcome sin. Sin lies at your door, and you must overcome it. You can't be Cain; you must do what Jesus Christ did, be the children of God. Because you have God's likeness on you, will you still discern good and evil? Even if you still discern good and evil, you'll feel that you're not qualified to discern good and evil. Look at the things inside us. No matter how many thousands of reasons you have, if it's not like Jesus, then forget it. You're talking about your reason; I'm talking about God's reason.

## Everything We Ask For Comes From God

Everything we ask for comes from God. It's worth it, don't you believe it? If you don't know the dangers of things that are of the world and of the flesh, then you really have to suffer a little. If everything you ask for is granted, then what do you lack? The prayer that our Lord Jesus taught us: we ask for God's kingdom and God's righteousness.

**This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. (Matthew 6:9-11)**

You don't need to worry about tomorrow. There will definitely be something to eat today, and there will be something to eat tomorrow, and you definitely don't need to worry about the day after tomorrow.

**And whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. (1 John 3:22-24)**

Because of the Spirit He gave us, can we not receive what we ask for? God's Spirit dwells in us, and we radiate God's likeness inside and out. Everyone must know that it's more blessed to give than to receive. Giving will definitely be blessed. You have to experience this slowly. We keep His commands, so everything we ask for will surely come from God. If what we ask for isn't received, then have you kept His commands? The logic is actually very simple.

I live in the Lord, and the Lord lives in me. That's how the song goes, but is that really the case? Singing it for a long time is useless. I can also give you some chicken soup for the soul, saying that tomorrow will be better. If you don't keep God's commands, tomorrow will only be worse. If you only love yourself, only care about yourself, and don't follow God's commands, this road will be difficult to walk.

When we start to establish a new value system, we know how wonderful it is to love one another according to the commands God has given us. We know what a rich reward this is, lacking nothing good on earth. To return to heaven and be with God, and in the future, when the Lord Jesus returns to earth, we'll govern this land together, as kings under the King of kings. Let's govern one or two cities. Which city do you want to govern? Lanzhou, Wuhan, or Hangzhou? We don't know what these cities will be called in the future. I'm just using an analogy. Maybe God will give you Singapore. Then you can govern it well.

Has our value system been rebuilt? Actually, I'll be honest with you, just because I see brothers and sisters walking on their own paths, my heart is very sad. This sadness sometimes makes me lose faith in God, and I start to beat my drums and make a fuss inside, and then I sin. That's because I'm discerning good and evil. People will look according to their own standards, and everything that doesn't come from faith is sin.

Some faith can lead to action. I'll give an example: Why do some people sell their houses and tithe? Because they believe it's right, it's blessed. But some people sell their houses and don't take out the tithe because they think it's better to keep the money. Now we have to figure out that doing this is not worthwhile, and the problem is solved. It depends on whether people believe it or not, and that can drive the way we do things. The decisions we make are based on our internal logic. Some people think that living requires a lot of money, and they still have to buy a house for their son in the future.

If you offend God, the demons will mess with you. Even if the demons don't mess with you, what if God sends a demon to mess with you? I'm not trying to scare everyone. The value concepts inside everyone have to be readjusted to God's standards. If we value money so much, we can't love our brothers and sisters, lay down our lives for them, and how can we gain eternal glory?

If we can't even pass the test of money, then how will we pass the tests that follow? Now let's challenge ourselves. Go back and reread the third chapter of 1 John and see if it's true. It quickly exposes the false things inside us, that is, whether our value system belongs to God. Once we understand it, we'll no longer be confused in an instant. May God bless everyone!
