Teacher, always rejoice, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV)
Teacher, what does 'give thanks in all circumstances' refer to? Does it refer to the things of God's Kingdom, or the things on earth? Does 'pray without ceasing' refer to praying in tongues, or what kind of prayer? Teacher, how can this be put into practice in life?

Reply: This is a good question. Giving thanks in all circumstances means that no matter what good or bad things you encounter, you should treat them as good things. Everything you see with your eyes is good. It all refers to things on earth. Praying without ceasing means praying often. It is impossible to pray 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You must pray with understanding and also pray in the spirit, which is praying in tongues.
