Introduction

Today, I will be sharing from Ecclesiastes Chapter 3. Actually, I still have some reservations. Why? Because I have preached on Ecclesiastes twice already. The first time, I felt I did quite well, even bringing in Yi Zhongtian, but later I felt some pressure. Why? Since I did so well last time, how should I preach this time? After pondering, it seems the theme of the last time was not quite accurate. Life is an exam, but it is not. The theme should actually be, God does this so that people may revere Him.

Today, we continue with The Words of the Preacher, Sermon 3, which is Ecclesiastes Chapter 3. The title is God Does This So That People May Revere Him. You know that the preacher preaches the words of the preacher. The words of the preacher make people smarter, healthier, make them live well, and make them joyful. Chapter 1 is Vanity of vanities, all is vanity. The summary is to revere God. Chapter 2 is To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness. Don't you want joy? You must become a person who pleases God.

So, in my classification, there are only two types of people: those who please God and those who provoke God's anger. Not men and women. Men and women are not that significant. Maybe it is significant when registering for marriage. But if there is a need to categorise, it would be those who please God live well, and those who provoke God's anger live miserably.

So, to the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness. This is Ecclesiastes Chapter 2. Chapter 3 is God does this so that people may revere Him. Why do you please God? Because you have reverence in your heart. You have reverence in your heart and then come before God. Can those who tremble at God's word not please God?

Do not ever think that just because the preacher says, Vanity of vanities, all is vanity, then everything is vanity. How can that be? That is only under the sun that everything is vanity, but what about above the sun? Above the sun, God is not vanity, God is faithful. The main point is, do not get these things wrong. The things you care about are vanity of vanities, but God is not vanity of vanities. Under the sun, it is vanity, but above the sun, it is not.

Do you want to live well? Do you want to live healthily? Do you want to live prosperously? Some people say, Teacher, I dream about it all the time. Then I must pour cold water on you. Dreaming is useless. Reverence for God is the key. So, our title is God Does This So That People May Revere Him.

Solomon wrote to Ecclesiastes Chapter 3, and he concluded a very great discovery: There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. This is a very great discovery. Many things are predetermined. Then you will find that no matter what you do, the result is the same. Whether you try hard or not, it is the same. There is a time for everything under the heavens.

Do not ever think that you did something right and then there was a result, because it has nothing to do with it. I used to occasionally say, but now I basically do not say, what have we, the Chinese Mingding Destiny, done right? What? God wants to choose someone at this time to do this thing. If you are not suitable, God will choose someone else. There will always be a theological system more in line with God's will that will be built.

I tell you, you have to accept destiny in many things. That is why I always advise you not to struggle. What exactly is destiny? Destiny is what is arranged in the spiritual realm, a shadow on earth. Things on earth are a shadow of the spiritual realm. What is crooked cannot be straightened, and what is lacking cannot be made complete. If you want to straighten what is crooked, you straighten it. With your small strength, you will be sweating profusely and still not straighten it. What is lacking cannot be made complete; you cannot fill it.

I say this, and everyone may not understand. Because I found that I had a good Mingding Destiny when I was a child. My parents were rich at that time. My father often rode a bicycle, taking me out to restaurants to eat. Riding a bicycle at that time was like sitting in a Mercedes-Benz, so good.

Then, my family suddenly became poor. I do not know how we became rich, and I do not know how we became poor. It seemed like a trick of fate. My parents used to be wealthy, but wealth came quickly and went quickly. During those difficult days, my mother began to rely on fortune-telling, hoping to find a way to restore wealth. However, when I preached the gospel of Jesus Christ to her, she claimed to be an atheist and was unwilling to believe.

Every New Year's Eve, my mother was always particularly serious. Her hope for the year was all on the 30th night. She asked my eldest sister to hold a bundle of firewood from the backyard on time, running and shouting: The firewood is here, the firewood is here. She believed this was welcoming wealth into the house. Then my younger sister joked that it was just firewood, and my mother scolded her. That is wealth, not for burning, but for getting rich. Later, we found that it did not work either. As for whether it was wealth or firewood, it did not solve the problem, so we just lived a poor life.

Actually, you cannot stop a person from living to a certain age. This thing is predetermined. How long a dynasty can last is also predetermined. Whether a person has blessings or not is not up to the person to decide. It is all predetermined. Actually, a person living is like a puppet. A person's life is directed by a lot of things in the spiritual realm as a shadow. Do not get it wrong. I especially believe in the spiritual realm.

Do not struggle with Mingding Destiny, understand? Do not struggle with God either. Since what you say does not count, still say before God: You are the director, I am convinced, I want to revere God. So, Solomon researched:

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)

Things are all predetermined, so you say, if everything is predetermined, what do I do? Just revere God. I believe Mingding Destiny has a reason, because I lived in an environment when I was a child, although it was not allowed to preach those superstitious phenomena at that time, but they actually existed.

I have a cousin, his wife is a shaman. Why is she a shaman? She had been sick for several years because a so-called Great Immortal came to her, asking her to hang up a sign to see patients. She refused at first because who would hang up a sign to see patients casually? That thing is so scary. As a result, the Immortal made her sick, and her condition became more and more serious. In the end, she had to compromise and started hanging up a sign.

I was still young at that time, and I remember her hanging up a sign in the village, which was a big event in the village. This cousin of mine is a distant relative. At the time, I thought this thing was so magical. Because when the Immortal came, she needed to prepare a bundle of incense as thick as a bunch of chopsticks, and then light it. When the Immortal comes, she also had to prepare two pounds of raw pork and two bottles of white wine.

Now we know that it is superstition and deception. The two bottles of white wine and two pounds of pork were all eaten by the Immortal. Seeing that scene was really scary and disgusting. After the incense was burned, it was considered that the big event was completed. When I was a child, I liked to watch these things and thought they were very magical. At that time, people in the village often asked her to see a doctor or solve some problems. It was so scary. This thing happened in our big family.

I have a cousin who became mentally ill after being struck by lightning in the air while working in the fields, and then she went to that shaman, and the result was something possessing her. This thing had a great impact on me. Later, I found that my mother liked to find people to tell fortunes. Do not say, all of us brothers and sisters, the fortune-teller came in and said that I was blessed.

Now, looking back when I am old, you do not say, I am really blessed. I have seen so many fortune-tellers who are so accurate, do not ever think that because he calculated a blessed fate for me, I believe it. The earliest version of the 101 Course, the first lecture was The Spiritual Realm is Real.

At that time, I had just finished college, so I brought my classmates to my house. This fortune-teller was our neighbor, and I called her aunt. She sat on our kang and pointed at us one by one, saying, You passed, you did not pass, you can pass next year, and so on. It was very powerful. I was stunned.

She said that the person who did not pass this year but could pass next year was not convinced. Then this aunt said, How is your father? How is your mother? and spoke accurately. If I were to give such examples, there would be many. I have had an impression of the spiritual realm since I was a child.

Later, I concluded that a person's vain life is just a shadow of the spiritual realm. This thing made me also influenced by these things in the spiritual realm when I was a child when I believed in Jesus. So, Christian churches that do not believe in the spiritual realm are not effective. Why? Because Jesus is a demon-expelling Jesus. Why? Expelling demons can solve problems.

Things in the spiritual realm, such as people getting sick, have a spirit of death on people. Why do those who come among us get healed? Because we expel demons. Why do many people who come among us begin to be blessed? Because we are victorious in the spiritual realm. Actually, many things do not have much to do with your efforts.

I have to tell you that if you believe in your efforts, then it is bad. You should be quite competitive. We are starting to return to a very fundamental place, which is that we live in vanity of vanities. It is not that this is all vanity. Your feelings are very real. The spiritual realm is real. Things on earth are a shadow of the spiritual realm. This is called vanity.

I will give you an example. Some people have good fate. They are not so shrewd, but it is a very magical thing. Suddenly, they sold their old and small house and bought a house in a big city. In 2021, they sold the house again. Now look, they sold it at the right time, earning hundreds of thousands. Did they calculate it? They did not calculate it. They just did it and did it right. Some people calculate with a lot of sweat, but they plan against themselves and seem to be still in debt.

There is a girl who is not young. She came among us a few years ago. She had many bad habits. As a result, her pastor rebuked her. I do not know if she is in our group today. This girl got angry and left, sold her house, and then bought one in the economic development zone at the highest point of the house price. That house was sold for one million, and she went to buy a house for more than two million. As a result, it is now halved, and she cannot sell it even if she wants to. It cannot even be auctioned.

She found herself very unlucky and could not repay the money. She came back among us. What did you do earlier? Of course, there is a time to be unlucky, and there is also a time to lose money, but there is no time to be blessed. That is how God does it. Do you think this is directed by a ghost? It is directed by God, so that you may revere God and let you know that what you say does not count.

Do not ever be like some people, stupidly saying, I do not believe, I do not believe in anything. One day I find that I have high blood sugar, high blood lipids, and high blood pressure, all three highs. What are you crazy about? One day, whether you can control your stool and urine, whether you can get out of bed, whether you can eat or breathe, it does not count. So, we must be careful. If what you say does not count, what are you crazy about?

Just say this natural disaster. People do not have the final say. They keep shouting, Man will conquer nature! Do you still believe that man can conquer nature? I think it is nonsense. A small COVID-19 virus made people crazy and kept the world busy, with lockdowns and nucleic acid tests. What did we conclude after COVID-19 passed? We concluded that we can only coexist with the virus and just accept it if we test positive.

Looking back now, we did many foolish things and were busy enough. We are powerless against a small virus that is too small to be seen. Some people are busy, and as a result, they get cancer, COVID-19, ALS, and depression, and then they are busy to death.

People have to know their limitations. Recently, seawater has receded, and houses have been destroyed. That is a small tsunami. Can people overcome it? They cannot. The Southeast Asian tsunami and the Japanese tsunami were so scary, and people could not overcome them. People have to know how small they are.

People should observe carefully. After observing, you will find one thing: what people do has little to do with the result. Why? There is a time to be born and a time to die. You will die if you go to the hospital, and you will also die at home. So, if you think about it, you will say, People should revere God! You will know that natural disasters happen after people are arrogant. People are very arrogant now. God does this to make people revere God.

If you study carefully, the natural disasters in history all happened after people were arrogant. You can think about it, or you can get and understand the words of the preacher, or you can know that a person's life is just a shadow. After such a toss, you see that you are a person, and you see that he is a beast. He is just a two-legged beast. If a person is a person, then go up. If he is a beast, then go down.

What does God gain from the hard work he calls people to on this earth? So that you can think about what people are doing when they are alive? What can they accomplish? They only accomplish hard work. Like beasts, there is no benefit. Can you summarize it? If you can summarize it, then you are good, and you have become a preacher.

Today, listen to the words of the preacher, be a righteous person, know that you cannot do anything, know that you need to revere God, and know that God controls everything. Be a person who reveres God and pleases God, and God will give you wisdom, knowledge, and joy. Then, if you have wisdom, you will know what is going on with people living. If you have knowledge, you will have fruit in your labor, and if you have rewards, you will have joy. I am filled with emotion. People really need to learn to observe more and think more. People really need to know what is going on with people living.

Let us look at the scripture, Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 verse 14.

I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him. (Ecclesiastes 3:14)

Prayer

Come, let us pray together: God! What we experience today, let us be able to have a wise heart and be able to summarize one thing, that is, let us revere you. God, may you have mercy on us, be gracious to us, and let us be able to open these spiritual eyes, see the spiritual world, and know what abundant glory you want to give us in us.

God, let us turn back from this vanity, know that people living on this earth are just a shadow. Let us know that everything on this earth is vanity of vanities. Only eternal life is real. Only you are real. So that we may revere you. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Scripture Background

Let us talk about the background of this scripture. This Solomon likes to think and ponder. He pondered and pondered, and he saw the things of this world. Think about how many cases he judged. One was that two brothers quarreled, and the other was that they quarreled with the neighbors next door. Then because of the homestead, the people of this family were stabbed to death by the people of that family, and then they were sentenced to jail. Solomon saw so many bad things.

What kind of people see the most of the things of this world? People who make judgments. Are there any judges among us? Judges are in contact with these broken things every day. Then they will find that there are many very evil things in this world: In the place of judgment, there is wickedness. You will find that some people are both treacherous and evil. There is also treachery in the place of justice.

After Solomon finished watching, he felt that there were so many treachery. Solomon was the king. There were also governors below him, and below the governors were mayors, and below the mayors were county magistrates. There were problems with the cases handled below, and then many people came to appeal to Solomon. When Solomon tried this case, he had to set things right. Alas, the whole thing was smoky and many treacherous things could not be said and could not be counted.

Then Solomon was particularly emotional. After a lifetime of these smoky things he discovered one thing: they all deserved it. There is a time to be born, and there is a time to die, there is a time to plant, and there is a time to uproot what is planted. There is a time for everything under heaven, and there is a time for everything under heaven. It seems that it has little to do with what people do.

Solomon saw these things because Solomon liked to observe things. So, I encourage you: you must learn to observe things. Solomon also liked to ponder in his heart what was going on. Later, when he was old and became a preacher, he wrote these things down. He said, Ah, it turns out that people live like this. He understood. What we are reading today is this passage.

What did Solomon research? He researched that everything God does, he does, will endure forever. Then nothing can be added to or taken from it. God does this so that people will revere him. Listen carefully. I will tell you. If you have osteonecrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, swelling of the major joints, what is the reason? You need to revere God.

It is a tragedy that people do not understand this spiritual world. Think about it, Solomon judged a case. The people of this family were stabbed to death by the people of that family with a knife. Solomon judged the case, took some evidence, and took some photos. When he went to their house to take a photo, he saw that there were things to be destroyed in the house. Actually, I also like to observe these things.

There was a news report about a person whose child was stabbed to death. He appealed, and a reporter came to interview and took a photo of the child's room. I saw it and understood. Because in the child's room, from this corner of the wall to that corner of the wall, there was a rope, and many various dolls were hung on the rope. These dolls are all things to be destroyed. As a result, this person did not know, and this unlucky thing happened in his home.

Now, everyone, tidy up your homes. If you don't, bad luck will follow. You might say, He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world. But the God within you also dislikes these things devoted to destruction. If you accumulate many such things, you will become devoted to destruction.

I must tell you that creatures like lizards, snakes, fish, frogs, and toads are quite deadly. If you have them in your house, it is best to get rid of them. God has opened a door for us, a door to the understanding of the spiritual world. As you understand it more, you will closely link these things with the things in the spiritual realm.

Consider what I just said as something to listen to for fun. After studying, Solomon discovered that there is a time for everything. What is life all about? Life is vanity of vanities. It is merely a shadow in the spiritual realm. Suffering does not come without a reason. Everything has a cause, and everything is closely related to the spiritual realm.

So, when he saw that God had given mankind this task to be occupied with, what could be achieved? These people, once refined, should hope to learn from the Teacher. First, observe carefully. Second, ponder deeply. Third, begin to understand. It is a tragedy when people do not know. To this day, many churches have almost zero understanding of the spiritual realm, especially those who talk endlessly about science.

A few days ago, a friend sent me a short video about using science to study the spiritual realm. Don’t you find that strange? The things of the spiritual realm transcend our material world. They think that believing in the Lord to such an extent is great. So, what should we examine? Examine the spiritual world. In the spiritual world, you can know God.

You can examine, and see if your research process and results are the same as Solomon's. Today, if you are seriously ill, penniless, or in debt, all of that comes from the spiritual realm. Reflect on yourself and return to the fundamental point: fearing God. Many people have believed in the Lord for over twenty years and haven't finished reading the Bible. What have you been doing?

Then, Solomon saw that God was testing people. Some passed the test and were seen as humans, while others failed and were seen as beasts. Do you know what a beast is? There is a big difference between humans and beasts. In our 103 Ministries, we discussed the third chapter of Ecclesiastes. If you are a human, you will ascend; if you are a beast, you will descend. The logic of ascending and descending is explained very fundamentally.

After Solomon observed everything, he realized that God makes everything beautiful in its time. Chinese people must know that God has chosen us Chinese in these last days to raise us up in this era and make us a blessing to many. If a person seeks the spiritual world, will he seek eternal life? Why don't people seek eternal life? Because they are thinking about worldly things, which are all vanity of vanities.

Therefore, many strange things will happen to you, and you won't be able to explain them. If you don't understand now, first understand fearing God! The conclusion is to fear God! The Ecclesiastes we talked about before, I felt like hitting a target and scoring four or five rings. This time, talking about Ecclesiastes, we should be able to hit seven or eight rings. I hope we can continue to improve.

After a series of investigations and understanding, Solomon discovered that many things are predetermined. You ask me if Solomon ever had his fortune told? I guess he did; otherwise, how would he know that there is a time for everything? And the Spirit of God also worked in Solomon, giving him some understanding of the future; otherwise, how could he speak so accurately about future things?

A Time for Everything, and a Season for Every Activity Under the Heavens

A time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. If you can grasp this point, you will be powerful. A time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. There is a time for poverty, and a time for wealth. A time to be born, and a time to die. This is very certain.

When I was a child, I heard my mother tell a story about a fortune teller in their village who told someone that he would die in a ditch. One day, this person jumped into a well. In the countryside, water is drawn from wells using a pulley and a rope to lower a bucket and pull it back up. We did it that way when we were young, without running water.

The well was three or four stories high, with plenty of water at the bottom. Everyone thought he was done for. In the countryside, there are people who jump into wells, drink pesticides, and hang themselves—all sorts of things. But when they pulled him up, they found he was still alive, which surprised everyone. Not long after, it rained, and people found him drowned in a ditch. This person was just unlucky.

My mother told me that if you are destined to die in a well, you won't die in a river, and if you are destined to die in a river, you won't die in a well. Meaning, some fates are predetermined. Is that really true? I just heard it. Later, I realized why fortune telling is so accurate. Not only fortune telling, but many people are also very good at prophesying. Because they see your future in the spiritual world.

How do they see your future in the spiritual world? Because these things are really predetermined in the spiritual realm. They see it clearly and tell you: you passed, he didn't. A time for everything, who determines it? A season for every activity under the heavens, all determined by God, determined by God in the spiritual realm, and that is called destiny.

I am quite interested in this. I once said to a very accurate fortune teller: Can you teach me? I thought, if I had the ability to foresee, how powerful would that be? At that time, not only was I a good student, but my spirituality was also very good. I kept chasing him, saying: Teach me, teach me. He said to me: I can’t teach you. I said, why can't you teach me? He said: This ability is not mine; it’s the spirit behind me.

Thank God! I guess the spirit on that person saw me at that time and thought: Oh, he will be a believer in the future. This kid is going to create the Chinese Mingding Destiny. I'd better not attach myself to him. As a result, I escaped a disaster. Unlike some people, when the spirit on that person sees them coming to the door, it attaches itself to them. Then they become fortune tellers, and they go blind from telling fortunes. So, there is a time for everything. As long as you have some understanding of the spiritual realm, you will know that there is a time for everything.

I am telling you this. Are you interested in the spiritual realm? If you are, I must tell you to be careful and never go to fortune tellers. You never know which spirit will attach itself to you. I mention this because I was interested in the spiritual realm at that time, and I wanted to know what would happen in the future. Because I often cast out demons, God opened my eyes, and I could see these things in the spiritual realm.

When I saw these things that were oddly shaped, I suddenly remembered reading The Classic of Mountains and Seas before. I took The Classic of Mountains and Seas and read it, and I found that it also talks about the spiritual realm. The Classic of Mountains and Seas is definitely not about geography; it's about the spiritual realm. As I was reading, one day in prayer, God said: Don't read this anymore. I said: Why? The Spirit of God told me: This is the spiritual realm of demons. I said: What should I understand? God said: You should understand the spiritual realm of God.

Some church pastors also have some understanding of the spiritual realm. They divide the heavens into three levels: the first level is the heavens of humans, the second level is the heavens of ghosts, and the third level is the heavens of God. I don't know if this division is scientific. But I understand that studying the demonic spiritual realm is not as good as studying the divine spiritual realm, because the divine spiritual realm is a level higher than the demonic spiritual realm.

A time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens, so today we must fear God. You say: Can fearing God solve problems? Of course, it can. If there is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens, can it be changed if you fear God? Yes, it can.

You must know that if you have a good relationship with God, God will give you the destiny of Jesus Christ. Isn't that called being born again? After being born again, your destiny is no longer your destiny; your destiny becomes the destiny of Jesus Christ, the destiny of a prince, the destiny of a princess. That is certainly good.

Later, I felt that I had to find a great God, because I was very unlucky at the time, and I wanted to change my destiny. I am being honest. Isn't it because you were unlucky that you found us? Otherwise, you would still be dabbling in some grace theology, and you wouldn't come looking for me. It's because you were unlucky and wanted to change your destiny, so you came.

I felt very unlucky at the time. I went into a church and asked if this destiny could be changed. They said: We don't talk about destiny here. So, goodbye. I went to another place and asked: Can this destiny be changed? No, goodbye. Later, I went to a demon-casting church, and they said: This thing is just a demon; if you cast out the demon, it will be fine. Later, I watched them cast out demons and found that it was indeed true.

The reason you become a blessed person is not because of anything else, but because in the spiritual realm, those unlucky demons are cast out. Originally, God created you in the image of God, but later you lived out the image of demons, because you attracted many demons. If you don't recognize that the things of this world are vanity of vanities, can you not attract demons? Demons will definitely come to control you.

What Do People Gain From All Their Labors?

If there is a time for everything, what do people gain from all their labors? If people's labors are all predetermined, am I just a puppet? It's not like that. If you labor in this world, you must be like me and find a great God. Jesus Christ is the greatest; He can change our destiny for us. So, what is labor for? To allow us to observe, to ponder, to know that people are not living right in this world.

Do you want to live a hard life? If you want to live a hard life, then you are destined to live a hard life. I don't want to live a hard life; I've had enough. I ate enough cornbread when I was a child. Some people say: Teacher, let me treat you to cornbread. I said: Never mind. He said: Today's cornbread is different from the cornbread of the past. I thought: No matter whether it's the past or the present, as long as it's cornbread, it's still made of cornmeal. I ate too much when I was a child, and I'm tired of it. I don't want to live a hard life anymore.

Unlike some people who have a bad memory, after living a hard life, they finally live a blessed life, but they don't want to live a blessed life anymore and go back to living a hard life. I think, what kind of brain is that? I still have some brains. So, what is labor for? To force people to observe, to force people to ponder, to force people to know these spiritual things.

Then they discover that everything is predetermined, so what am I busy for? What am I caught up in? Calculating and calculating, the result is a pile of debts. Many people do this. Because your eyes see the things of the world, you are unlucky. If your short-sightedness is not changed to God's perspective, can it work? So, it must be adjusted.

With this observation, you will receive the words of the Teacher. Know that life is vanity of vanities; everything is vanity. In vanity, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to whomever pleases Him. How can you be someone who pleases God? Seek God. Ponder and discover that people live just like animals. How people die, animals also die. Sometimes I think many people are not as good as animals.

Some elderly people live in their sons' homes. In their sons' hearts, their wives are first, then their children are second, they are third, their dogs are fourth, and their mothers are fifth. Their mothers are not as good as their dogs. When their dogs die, everyone cries; when their mothers die, everyone cheers, finally getting rid of a burden. Later, they become a burden.

What do people gain from all their labors? It is to let people know that living is not very meaningful, and you must seek eternal life. If you think living is very meaningful, I wish you good luck. Don't end up with this syndrome or that syndrome.

Life Is Just an Examination

Life is not very interesting, so when people seek, they seek to realize that life is just an examination. So, people must fear God. All these things that God does are to let people know that what you do doesn't count, and what you say doesn't work. When you are born, when you die, when you are this way, when you are that way, you don't get to decide; God decides. At this time, you begin to fear God. Then you will seek to find out: What are people living for? Life is just an examination.

Last time we investigated Ecclesiastes, the theme of the third chapter was Life is just an examination. But I think today’s theme is better. This theme is “God does this so that people will fear Him.” When seawater flows backward, after it is finished, fear God. When a tsunami comes, fear God. When an earthquake comes, fear God. When natural and man-made disasters happen, fear God. When COVID-19 comes, people discover that man will conquer nature is not true. You can't conquer the earth, you can't conquer the heavens, and you can't conquer people. You can only fear God.

People experience an examination in this world. This examination reveals whether you are a human or a beast. Some people say: Teacher, why are you scolding people? I am not scolding people; I am scolding beasts. I am scolding animals. Because some people in this world, even though they have a human face, they are two-legged beasts. Two-legged beasts are the worst.

When I walk on the street, I am not afraid of encountering ghosts; I am afraid of encountering people. In the dark, they have a small iron hammer in their hands. I open the door with my keys, and they “bang” me with a small hammer. I am most afraid of this. I can cast out ghosts, but people are deadly. So, are people human or beast? It is known after the examination. Actually, I find that not many people pass the test. Why? Because once they are tested, it is discovered that they have no eternal life.

Some time ago, a sister came among us, crying, sobbing and leaving with tears and snot because I preached a sermon. I said: If you don't have the pursuit of eternal life, you can't walk this path. As a result, she really had no pursuit of eternal life, so didn't she go down? The souls of beasts enter the lower earth, and the spirits of people ascend. This examination is terrible. It shows where people's pursuit lies. One sister's pursuit was a small chicken leg.

I once served a couple in our midst. This couple was about to get married. This sister told me that she hoped her future mother-in-law could give her 150,000 yuan. I thought: 150,000 RMB is just over 30,000 SGD. In Singapore, that’s really not much money. But her mother-in-law is a cancer patient who has been fighting cancer for several years. If you squeeze 150,000 out of her body, it would be heartless.

The sister said: Teacher, eating chicken legs is better than gnawing on cornbread. I said: Yes, but if you eat chicken legs, your mother-in-law will gnaw on cornbread in the future. Then we'll see who eats the chicken legs. 150,000 can buy a lot of chicken legs. When I said this, oh no, I was taking the chicken leg out of her mouth, and then she showed me her teeth.

I am familiar with this because we used to have a dog at home. I gave it a small chicken leg, and when I tried to take the chicken leg from its mouth, it showed me its teeth. Its lips turned up, and its two teeth were exposed. It looked extremely disgusting. Oh, this sister was originally a beast. She became beastly just for this chicken leg. So, after this examination, you will find that some people pursue chicken legs. When God sees that they love the chicken legs, wouldn't that make them a beast?

I have found that if people live in this world without fearing God, it is bad. And they can't retake this exam; you can't come back. After you take the exam, if you are a beast, you go down to hell. The souls of beasts go to the lower earth. People who have the concept of eternal life are truly human. So don't take the things of this world too seriously.

God Does This So That People Will Fear Him

I encourage everyone to know God's plan. What kind of people are pleasing to God? Those who build God's glorious church, those who are one with God, and those who work with God. If you are this kind of person, then I ask you, can this kind of person not live well? Of course, they can live well. Originally, God did this so that people would fear Him. I tell you, the days of bad luck are just ahead. Don't think this won't happen. The occurrence of things is just a matter of time, don't be anxious.

Some people say: Teacher, I see that they live very well after leaving the church. Then you leave too. Why do they live very well? Because you haven't lived long enough, and you haven't seen enough people. After you have finished your investigation, as long as you live long enough, you will discover that beasts have the way beasts live, and people have the way people live. Isn't life a tragedy for beasts? The timing hasn't arrived. They have to cultivate that misery, cultivate it until it is full.

When will they become miserable? When the exam is over, when a person's life is over, they can't turn back. They keep moving forward, not looking to the sides. You will definitely melt into that blue sky. You think that is the blue sky? You think that is the beach and the sunshine? It is not. Some places have set up a pot of oil, other places have set up a pile of charcoal. If you want BBQ, you will BBQ. If you want to fry dough twists, you will fry dough twists. At that time, you will be surprised: Huh? How did I get here? You gnawed on chicken legs. If you didn't come here, where could you go? You will become a chicken leg.

God does this so that people will fear Him. I can tell you: The Ten Commandments cannot be violated. God's word stands firm in heaven. Everything God has done will endure forever, with nothing added and nothing taken away. You cannot add anything to what God has done, or reduce anything from God's creation. You can only add curses or blessings to yourself; you can only reduce curses or blessings for yourself.

Fearing God is the key! If you want to live joyfully, you must fear God! Can brothers and sisters have a fearful heart? If you have a fearful heart, may my wish be fulfilled. Now, fear God once again, knowing that you are not a beast, you are a human. Know that you have the image of God, and you must live out the image of God.
