I. Introduction
What causes confusion in people? Unclear goals, vague strategies, and incorrect methods!
A person without a goal has only trivial matters in mind, no important things!
The most important goal for Christians is to build God's glorious church. Jacob did not grasp the most important goal; he only talked about personal behaviour, but without a view of the church, everything else falls apart.
II. Jacob's Lack of a Church View
Jacob's goal was to save souls from death and cover sins, but God's goal is to build the church.
God only allowed the Israelites to worship Him in the temple; He did not allow them to set up separate altars elsewhere.
Jacob had no concept of the church; everything was personal behaviour!
Jacob looked at everything from a personal perspective, not from the perspective of the church, so he saw things in great confusion.
Jacob lacked the concept of shepherding, thinking that church elders only needed to anoint people with oil, and that was sufficient.
III. The Most Important Goal is to Build God's Glorious Church
As one's spiritual life grows and spiritual height is ascended, many things become less important!
Be an accomplished person, with God's plan and Mingding Destiny in your heart!
The most meaningful thing to do in life is to build God's glorious church!
IV. Shedding bad habits of personal cultivation
God's will is not for people to play on their own, but to be connected with the church through people's problems.
Jacob brought out the prophets and Job, thinking they were models of personal cultivation, but personal cultivation is ineffective!
Jerusalem refers to the church, and Mount Zion also refers to the church!
People must understand God's good intentions for us, which is to build God's glorious church with one heart and one mind.
V. A life without a church view is a wasted life
The church is a place where people are blessed. If people do not have a church view, God will not dwell among us.
Suffering is in vain without a church view, and entanglements and patience are meaningless.
Our goal in coming into this world is to live out a real meaning in this empty life, which is to build the body of Jesus Christ according to God's will.
