The Faith in Jesus Christ is a Complete System
If you read the Book of Deuteronomy carefully, you will find that many important aspects are covered there. Today, we read Deuteronomy chapter 27. The preceding chapters contained numerous regulations, and in chapter 27, Moses summarizes the curses and blessings.
Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by doing them. And all the people shall say, Amen! (Deuteronomy 27:26)
Speaking of curses, the concept of curses and blessings is intriguing. Moses says that if you adhere to all the commandments I am giving you today, but fail to keep even one, you are finished. Whatever you violate, you will suffer the corresponding curse.
Jesus said, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Previously, I was puzzled by this every word. Today, we must learn to view this every word as a complete system. In Deuteronomy, Moses said, You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take away from it. (See Deuteronomy 2:4) After Moses died, the Book of Joshua was added during Joshua's time. After Joshua came the Book of Judges, then the Books of Samuel, and then the prophets. In my confusion, I sought God, asking, Does this count as adding or not adding?
Originally, the every word Jesus spoke of is a complete system. A complete system is built upon God's promises. If you do not carefully adhere to it, you will be cursed. If you grasp the complete system in the Bible, your faith will be solid.
However, throughout the ages, this system seems to have been problematic. Many people preach something fundamentally different from what is written in the Bible. For example, if someone gets cancer, they might say, This is from God, a blessing in disguise. I find this strange. After carefully reading the Bible, I wonder if their faith is truly in Jesus. They believe in Jesus, but they do not believe in His words. Consequently, careful adherence is even more distant.
If you believe in Jesus' system of faith, you will certainly emerge from the curse. Only by believing in a complete system of faith can you carefully adhere to God's words. Without a complete system, people cannot carefully adhere and will be cursed. I am very clear that these painful and tormenting diseases are related to curses. In the next chapter, we see God's expectation for people, which is that they carefully adhere to His words. I will not keep you in suspense today. Let's look at this passage in chapter 28:
If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, the LORD your God, then the LORD will bring on you and your offspring extraordinary afflictions, afflictions severe and lasting, and grievous and lasting diseases. And he will bring upon you again all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. The LORD will also bring upon you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.(Deuteronomy 28:58-61)
Everyone must be clear that various disasters and diseases are related to curses and to failing to carefully adhere to God's words. It is not just if you intentionally fail to carefully adhere; even if you are careless and do not carefully adhere, it is very serious. The Bible is very clear. Today, we must return to the complete system of the Bible. Some people say that the Old Testament is no longer Scripture, only the New Testament is. Does that mean we can skip reading the Old Testament? But both the Old and New Testaments are the word of God.
Later, when Matthew wrote the Gospel of Matthew and John wrote the Book of Revelation, was the content of the Bible increased? No, it was not increased, because the word of God is a complete system. Later, I discovered that once you grasp this complete system in the Bible, many problems become much easier to solve. When Moses wrote the Bible, he summarized these things: You shall set up these stones, about which I am commanding you today, on Mount Ebal, and you shall coat them with plaster. And there you shall build an altar to the LORD your God, an altar of stones. You shall wield no iron tool on them. (See Deuteronomy 27:3) I suggest that everyone highlight the word promise in their Bible.
God's Promises are the Foundation of Faith
The first point of this complete system is that it is built upon God's promises. If your promise is not built upon God's promises but upon other things, then there will be trouble. Because a person who is not within the system of faith in promises has no way to carefully adhere and thus violates God's word.
Today, we must consider a question: Can God's promises be eaten? Before I led this Bible study, I received a guest from England. He asked me, If I believe in the Lord, what if I can no longer eat, drink, and have fun? I was puzzled upon hearing this. He does not know that after we believe in the Lord, eating and drinking are not the main points, but we are comfortable in all things. We live comfortably, and our hearts are even more joyful than when we did not believe in the Lord. Within God's promises are all the good things we desire. Which Christian do you know who cannot eat meat and only wears coarse clothing? That would be a very difficult life. I think I would not want that kind of 'gospel.'
Brothers and sisters must know what is within God's promises. First, there is a land flowing with milk and honey. (See Deuteronomy 4:2) Is 'milk and honey' not for eating? Then when you cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD your God is giving you, set up these large stones and coat them with plaster. Build there an altar to the LORD your God, an altar of stones. Do not use any iron tool on them. Build the altar of the LORD your God with fieldstones and offer burnt offerings on it to the LORD your God. Sacrifice fellowship offerings there, eat before the LORD your God, and rejoice. (Deuteronomy 27:4-7)
God Has Prepared Abundant Grace for Us
God's promises are the gospel of our faith. These promises are all good promises. God does not promise you sickness and long-lasting disasters, absolutely not, because sickness and disaster are curses.
There are several aspects to the promises of Jesus Christ. First, you will possess the land. Second, you will become wealthy, and you will rejoice. Third, there will be no sickness. You will have good health, food and drink, land, and houses, but this is not the purpose of our lives. The purpose of our lives is to offer sacrifices to God, draw upon God's promises, and live long on the earth. This promise is obtained through faith in Jesus Christ, entering into the promise given to Abraham. God's promises begin with Abraham and enter into promises of Mingding Destiny.
I think that this way of speaking makes the gospel very good, and I also feel that it is very good. However, many people still find it strange. Today, a sister had an interesting conversation with a new person. The new person asked, Do you believe in the gospel of grace? The serving sister asked, What do you think the gospel of grace is? He said, I'm not sure, but it should be the gospel of repentance. Our sister asked, And after repentance? He replied, After repentance, still repentance. As a result, they entered this vicious cycle, living in repentance for their entire lives. But can repentance actually draw upon God's promises? Actually, it cannot; it draws upon accusation.
Moses wrote: as the LORD, the God of your ancestors, promised you. Brothers and sisters must know that the gospel with God's promises is the true gospel. Within these promises are all of man's needs.
How can a person receive these promises? It is by faith. The word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming (Romans 10:8). It is not because you have done so well; it has nothing to do with what you have done poorly. You must know one thing: the gospel is God's promise to us. What draws upon the promise is faith, without the slightest bit of works.
This principle is very simple: for example, when I was living a very miserable life, what could I give to God? Nothing. But God blessed me. Was it because I first gave something to God that God blessed me? No, it was because I chose to believe. This principle is simple. That is to say, what draws upon God's promises is faith, and only faith. At this time, even love is not mentioned; it is only because I believe that I can draw upon it. This is why those who came to Jesus and were healed did not have their thoughts or actions changed, yet they were able to receive immediate healing.
God's promises are too numerous. Our God is not a stingy God. If you are one of the ten lepers, and you come to Jesus, and Jesus heals you, what kind of choice should you make? That is your business. Among the ten lepers who were healed, one came back to follow Jesus, and nine left. Why did those nine leave? It is not that Jesus did not know they would leave; Jesus knows everything. But Jesus still healed them. Was there any action involved? No.
I ask you a question: What happened to those nine lepers later? They might have become even worse off than before. Why? Because they were previously living under a curse, which is why they contracted leprosy. Now, because they believed and sought Jesus, Jesus gave them grace. Then, they went back to their old ways, no longer believing in Jesus, believing in their original secular beliefs, and thus continued to live under a curse.
I ask you again, did those nine people later contract leprosy again? They might have, or they might not have, but they certainly lived worse than before, even worse than when they had leprosy. Why? Because they continued to live under a curse. Today, I warn you, if a person receives God's grace and then abandons God, continuing to live in a flawed logical system, then the curse they receive will be even more profound. Why? The reason is simple: unbelief. Unbelievers not only cannot draw upon God's promises but will also suffer an even deeper curse. Someone asks, Where did you get this principle? Go back and read the entire Bible, and you will know what I am talking about.
Who is the curse for? The curse is for those who have received God's grace and then abandoned God. Who is the Book of Deuteronomy written for? It is written for the Israelites. Don't the Israelites know God? The Israelites have been a tragedy in human history for the past two thousand years. Why is such an intelligent nation a tragedy? Because they received God's grace and entered the promised land, but they did not fear the glorious and awesome name of the LORD and began to live small lives, becoming selfish and self-centered. Brothers and sisters must know for certain, what is life all about? If a person does not live well, it is because of themselves.
If you were not living well before, and today you receive grace among us, do you still want to live in your past logical system? Among us are some businessmen who are super foolish. Before coming here, they had heart disease and had to take medication for it. Now that they have received grace among us, do they still want to live in that old logical system? If they are still in the old logic, then their previous business could go bankrupt, and their current business will do the same. If a person does not carefully adhere, there will be trouble. If they spare no expense for the sake of business, doing things that harm their employees or others, and they do not care about these things, they will continue to live under a curse. What will that be like?
God may give us one, two, three, or four chances, but if you do not change, will you be like the Israelites, tossed around among the nations? During World War II, when Hitler slaughtered the Jews, no country would take them in, and they wandered everywhere, very pitiful. Why were they so miserable? Because they did not carefully adhere and lived under a curse.
Everyone must know what things bring curses. There are many kinds of curses; for example, moving boundary markers brings a curse. Today, if you draw upon God's promises, you must know that Jesus Christ is a treasure. If you draw upon the promises but still treat your business as a treasure, putting Jesus Christ as secondary, then that person will definitely not live well. I do not want to scare you, but God still hears our prayers. As long as you are willing to repent, everything is easy to talk about. Because when we draw upon God's promises by faith, it is when we are still sinners. If God were to destroy sinners, then this world would have been destroyed long ago, but God is a God who gives grace and shows mercy, wanting to save each of us from forsaking sin.
Only Faith Can Draw Upon God's Grace
Speaking of this, there is one thing everyone must know. Build there an altar to the LORD your God, an altar of stones. Do not use any iron tool on them. Build the altar of the LORD your God with fieldstones.(Deuteronomy 27:5-6) Why do we say this? It is that in drawing upon God's promises, there cannot be the slightest blemish.
If you are works-based, you cannot draw upon God's promises. Everyone must know that drawing upon God's promises cannot rely on your works. Look, I am doing well. Once works are brought in, this altar cannot be used. That is to say, drawing upon promises cannot have the slightest participation of works. This is the gospel that Paul and Jesus preached.
Jesus never criticized people's actions, but He criticized many people for not having faith. Do you understand? You cannot mix in even a little bit of works-based thinking. Then you say, Is not faith without works dead? I increasingly disagree with this question. How is faith without works dead? When I draw upon God's grace, I really have no works to speak of.
Was my faith alive or dead at that time? If my faith was dead at that time, why could I draw upon God's grace? Because I did not rely on my works to draw upon grace, I relied on my faith, and God indeed gave me His promises. When I was poor and downcast, I trusted in God.
After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? Are you so foolish? (Galatians 3:3) This is the view that Paul challenged. Do not think that works will do anything. Even today, many Christians do not know that they have always thought that faith without works is dead. Then what kind of works do you use to live out the grace of Jesus Christ?
Today, everyone must know for sure what the Bible says: It is the Holy Spirit who makes you holy, it is the Holy Spirit who puts to death the evil habits of your body, it is the Holy Spirit who leads you into truth, it is the Holy Spirit who makes you understand God's word, all are the work of the Holy Spirit. We passively receive; what does it mean to passively receive? It means to receive by faith. It is not to say, We must do this, we must do that, and only after we have done it can we draw upon God's promises.
For example, a person lying in a hospital bed cannot do anything. But he sends me a message: Can you help me? I go to the hospital to pray for him, and he gets up, walks home, and is healed. What actions can he do? He did not change, he had no actions to speak of. But he can draw upon God's promises.
When Moses was writing this chapter, he talked about promises, not using an altar of stone that has been worked on by human hands or on which an iron tool has been used. What does this mean? It means that the road ahead is to constantly climb spiritual peaks, based on faith, and to enter by faith. Never forget, on the holy mountain of the Lord, the foundation is faith. This is the complete part of our Christian system of faith. A very important part: God's promises, without the participation of even a bit of works. If you do not build on this foundation, you cannot carefully adhere.
If you believe that God is a malicious God, not a God who gives us good promises, how can you go on? If the gospel you preach is, Follow me and believe in Jesus, and people ask, What do I do by following you and believing in Jesus? and you say, After following me and believing in Jesus, we can carry the cross together, but people do not even know what that cross is, what kind of gospel are you preaching? Follow me and live a hard life together. How can we live this way? It is strange that believing is not distorted. To take pleasure in suffering and sickness is very abominable, is it not?
Today, we must know for sure that God's promises are all for our benefit. Our benefit is not outside of God but in Jesus Christ. Why don't we enter into Jesus Christ to draw upon God's promises? I have not seen Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob die miserably from the pain of cancer.
Which person in the Bible who was after God's own heart was not a wealthy person? Which person in the Bible who was after God's own heart was not a person who drew upon God's grace by faith? Which one was not a healthy person? They were all very healthy. So brothers and sisters, start building the foundation on these promises and faith, without a bit of works. You have now become the people of the LORD your God. (See Deuteronomy 27:9)
Becoming the people of the LORD your God is because of your faith. Actually, a person's problem is because of unbelief, and all problems are because of unbelief. Unbelief is key, unbelief is the essence, and everything else is just a facade. Why did the Israelites wander in the wilderness for forty years without entering Canaan? Because they did not believe in God in their hearts, that is a deadly thing. If you believe that God is a good God, you cannot wander in the wilderness for so long. Today, many of the problems we encounter are essentially because of unbelief.
If you cannot grasp the essence of things and only grasp a facade, then you are in trouble. The other day, I was talking about a person, this sister who has Mingding Destiny. After our constant training, and pastoring, she found a job with a salary of $200,000 a year. As a result, one sister heard that this sister's salary was very high and thought she was an expert. Actually, it was not because that sister did something to get $200,000; it was because the pastor did something, so she got $200,000. That sister asked her every day how to get it. What we teach you is more than just $200,000; why can't you listen?
Actually, a person who indulges in the flesh, a person who knows good and evil, a person who has no faith, even if you grab $200,000, it will 'prick your fingers'. Today, our brothers and sisters must come out of unbelief.
Moses and the Levitical priests said to all Israel, Be silent, Israel, and listen! You have now become the people of the LORD your God. Obey the LORD your God and follow his commands and decrees I am giving you today.(Deuteronomy 27:9-10) Why have they become the people of the Lord? Is it not because of the faith of their forefathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? Should we not imitate the faith of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob today? if we truly believe in God’s Word, and know the truth, living in this world, $200k, $300k, $1M or even $10M a year is vanity of vanities.
If the meaning of your life is to make money, your money will ‘stab’ you to death. What? Because you believe in money. Because of trusting in God & seeking God’s Mingding Destiny, God gave it you, so you take on the responsibility of God in your life, so money becomes the least to worry about, now that same sum ‘does not stab your hand’. God gives you the asset is not with the attached disaster, but Satan gives you the wealth, that is the added calamity. God gave riches will not add sorrow. Do you understand brothers and sisters?
Therefore, I see those who ask me stupid questions, very anxious. A sister came from England to ask me, Look, they are living pretty well, look, they are living pretty well. Why do they always fail to grasp the essence of things? I look at it and I am anxious. Occasionally, I scold her. Why is it good? You don't know what good is, how can I fail to see it?
Because they see the surface, I see the essence. Today, what do you rely on to become the people of the LORD your God? It is on promise. Only promise can make you Abraham's offspring, because Isaac was born according to God's promise, and therefore he is called Abraham's descendant.
You and are born of Gods promise. We live in God's Promises & we uses our Faith to draw God's Promise. So the first lesson of our class 101 is ‘Spirit Realm is Real’, Everyone must know the Realm of Spirit is Real, Material World void! If the Realm of Spirit is real, all our problems are all from Spirit Realm, what do you do when you toil to make money, and bring disaster?
I know a Manager in his business with a strange phenomena. He keep working until he is close to the target like ‘ 1 mile’ and then fail. Last year he made millions of $$$ then everything gone to the drain like money down the drain.I DO NOT understand. He believe in Jesus in his heart thou. Why human live so busy. Must we need to know most Importance IS GOD! MUST knows The Realm Of Spiritual is Real!!!
Only by bringing everyone into the whole system of faith can problems be solved. That is why we clearly see God's presence. Brothers and sisters must become the people of God, begin to understand God's presence, know what God hates and what He delights in, and be a person who pleases God.
Why did David still please God and become a man after God's own heart even though he did bad things? Because he had faith, he repented, and he believed in and feared God. Saul, although he became king, was still cursed. Esau and Jacob, who were also Abraham's grandsons, Esau was a good man, hunted for his parents to eat, but he was cursed, the reason is; Esau live a simple easy life! We must imitate the faith of Jacob, whose faith was a bit outrageous, but God was still pleased.
The Curse of Disobedience
Why do people disobey? Because they lack faith. However, those who disobey directly enter into a curse. Thus, Paul says that whatever is not from faith is sin. The most serious sin is unbelief, because it leads people to a series of other wrongdoings.
For example, in the past, one could not touch the iron stove. Children were told not to touch it because it was very hot, but some children still did, and their hands were burned. From a young age, people exhibit this kind of unbelief and rebellion. For instance, when walking down the street, we see signs (on some pillars) warning of electricity and cautioning against touching them. Yet, some people disbelieve and insist on touching them. The consequences for such individuals are predictably dire.
People say not to take shelter under a tree during a thunderstorm, why? Because it attracts lightning. However, some people insist on doing so. When others advise you, you should heed their words. Do not be foolish; violating the words of Jehovah God is not a joke, and the consequences are severe.
Do Not Invite Idols
God dislikes idols in people's hearts and external idols. If someone is willing to pay the price of their life for business, then in God's eyes, business is their idol. We must not carve idols that God detests, because doing so invites a curse. After being cursed, evil spirits will return to corrupt you.
Many families treat their children as gods, and the children will enter into the curse along with them. Therefore, do not disobey God's word. God's laws are all spiritual. After violating them, evil spirits will certainly come to disturb you. Do we have idols today?
Some people are determined to expand their businesses, which is peculiar! Because business has become their center, they may use any means necessary for their growth. Then business becomes their idol, a curse. Without it, they would be at a loss. And this is what Jehovah God hates.
Cursing Those Who Treat Parents With Contempt
We must not despise our parents. To despise parents is to not treat them as such. Some may assume that I despise my parents, but I am very clear that I must bring them into God's grace. Parents represent a matter of authority, and you must honor them.
However, honoring parents must not exceed honoring God, otherwise, parents will become your idols. God is first, parents are second. Many worldly parents ask, Do you love your parents or love God? They are displeased when people love God more than their parents. But how can man be compared with God? Reversing the order of priority is problematic!
People must not be greedy; do not covet the houses or possessions of others. Greed invites demons, invites a curse. One desires to live well but fails to do so. What we need is to live well. Just as wanting to be blessed is useless; we need to carefully observe and follow God's word to receive blessings.
“Cursed is the man who has sexual relations with any animal.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ “Cursed is the man who has sexual relations with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ “Cursed is the man who sleeps with his mother-in-law.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’” (Deuteronomy 27:21-23)
This may seem like 'mutual affection,' but it is actually a cursed matter. Once people engage in these things, evil spirits will corrupt them. Therefore, everyone should be very careful about sexual matters: sex workers, etc., find it difficult to be blessed unless they completely break these curses and thoroughly repent. If they still live under the original logical system, it is useless. Murderers and those who harm others are cursed; they harm others for profit and are all cursed. The deeper the curse, the more miserable their lives, the more demons they attract.
Moses recorded the most crucial points, namely that all who do not carefully observe and follow are cursed. Therefore, in verse 26, he says, “Cursed is anyone who does not uphold the law by carrying out its provisions.’ Then all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’” (Deuteronomy 27:26)
We must awaken and clearly know what things cannot be done. Today a curse, tomorrow a curse; although we may not feel that it is a big deal, we must know that curses grow slowly. There is a type of bamboo that first grows underground for seven years, growing only a little during that time, but when it emerges, it can grow 15 meters a day. Such things are written in books and naturally have their truthfulness. This is like a curse being planted without being noticed, but when it grows out, you are powerless to reverse it. It is as if a person sows seeds, and seven years later harvests a curse, that is troublesome!
Serving is sowing seeds of blessing. Only within destiny are there promises and blessings. Serving is part of Mingding Destiny, living for God, loving God alone, and not loving the world, in order to enter into blessings. These are all reflections of faith. If you truly believe, you will walk the path of faith and will certainly be blessed. If faith is false, God knows.
We must completely abandon unbelief, because unbelief is the root of all problems. Everyone must walk out of the curse. Jesus indeed bore our curses. If we believe, if we accept the grace of Jesus Christ, all problems will be readily solved.
