【Bible Study】Numbers 02 - Faithfulness is a very important quality!

2018-03-23 24,642 Numbers Release Loyalty Blessedness The Army of Jehovah The Concept of Authority

Foreword

In the Bible, if certain statements or content are repeatedly mentioned, they must hold significant importance. When we read Genesis chapter 1, you'll notice that God, through Moses, repeatedly wrote according to its kind and God said. This indicates that according to its kind and God said are crucial. Similarly, God saw that it was good and and it was so are reiterated time and again. These are the things God wants us to pay attention to. If something is not repeated, you don't need to read it so carefully, but repeated elements must be scrutinized.

In Numbers chapter 2, you'll observe something significant: the tribe of Judah, mentioned in the previous chapter with seventy-four thousand six hundred members, is listed again here in the same format. This is not merely Moses fearing numerical errors and repeating the count. Moses repeats it to convey a vital concept: each according to its kind, belonging to which tribe, belongs to that tribe, and there should be no confusion.

Imagine this during the encampment: after counting the tribe of Judah, totaling seventy-four thousand six hundred, they set up camp and recounted; seventy-four thousand five hundred ninety-nine; then, in the tribe of Reuben, they counted forty-five thousand five hundred one, a member of the tribe of Judah ran into the tribe of Reuben, that is not allowed. From this, we must have a clear understanding: the responsibility assigned to you, your role, you must stand firm in it.

I once served a couple, helping them a great deal. This couple was particularly enthusiastic about attending gatherings, visiting six churches in a single weekend. I mistakenly thought this couple loved the Lord very much, very good. Later, I discovered that wasn't the case; the corruption they brought to the church was severe. This couple was later noticed by another church, whose pastor also thought they were enthusiastic and loving. When they were poached, I felt very uncomfortable, wondering why those I had painstakingly nurtured were being taken away. As a result, this couple caused significant damage to that church.

When they went to that church, there were still one hundred forty to fifty people. When they left, the church had only forty to fifty people remaining. I knew the senior pastor of that church, and I was very surprised that he took a liking to an unfaithful person. Later, this pastor suffered from depression. This couple entered the church as full-time staff, and the pastor couldn't manage them, so he asked another pastor to help manage them, who directly fired them.

The Quality of Faithfulness is Highly Valued by God

What do I mean by this? In the entire process of building a church, I discovered that faithfulness is a very important quality, and what God wants is faithful disciples. What is faithfulness? It means you are assigned to a certain role, and you stay in that role. Don't let it be that when the time comes for battle and encampment, someone counts and doesn't know where this person is, having run to another tribe, originally in the east but ran to the west, originally in the north but ran to the south, originally in this tribe but ran to that tribe, originally in this family but ran to that family.

You know, God values faithfulness greatly; the matter of faithfulness is extraordinary. If you cannot receive pastoral care in your original church and then come among us willing to be pastored and grow, then you must be a faithful person. Until one day you say you want to go to another church, and you want to commit to that church, I will definitely give you a word of advice: do well there and be a faithful disciple.

Why do I say this? Because the church is God's army. In the past period, our church has fought several hard battles with the devil. Fighting a battle either leads to victory or defeat. The outcome of victory and defeat is completely different. Victory leads to plundering the enemy, while defeat leads to being plundered by the enemy. Being plundered and plundering are completely different matters.

How fierce have our battles been? One day, I was going to invest in real estate. I was driving with the person who wanted to buy real estate with me. The car had been running very well, but after driving over a hundred kilometers, suddenly there was a bang. I thought, what does it matter to run over a small stone on the highway? As a result, I saw the tire pressure warning light on the sensor, and the tire pressure of one of the tires dropped to over one hundred thirty. I was preparing to drive to the next service area to patch the tire. Fortunately, that service area had a tire repair shop. The tire repairman said that the tire could not be patched because the tire was fine; it was the iron rim of the tire that was bent. He also said that this could not be repaired, so I turned around and drove back over a hundred kilometers.

After returning, a very interesting thing happened: the devil was holding a meeting, and one of the demons came to tell us that they were holding a meeting, saying that they were going to besiege the brothers and sisters of the church. That night, I notified all the brothers and sisters to pray continuously for three days, twenty-four hours a day. As a result, many people were released after those three days of prayer. The process of driving out the demons was really funny. I told these demons to get out, and they said, You guys are really quick.

Our church is a very united church. The very disunited state in the early days of building the church has completely passed. After the victory, I said to the devil, You must repay five times the blessings you have stolen. As a result, a very miraculous thing happened: One of our sisters, her salary was originally negotiated at a certain amount, but her boss only gave her two thousand that month. Then she changed jobs, and this job's salary became eighteen thousand.

Another miraculous thing also happened to a sister. When she was at the company in Shenzhen before, she worked hard, and her orders were only two hundred thousand US dollars a year. Now? She doesn't go to work much at home, and in less than a month, she has made five hundred thousand US dollars in orders. This tells us that when we are victorious, we can demand that the devil, the enemy, repay five times over.

In this process, the dialogue with the devil and evil spirits is quite interesting. One of the spirits was a wolf spirit. I asked, Who are you? It said, I am a wolf. How many blessings have you stolen from him? I have stolen... I said, You must repay five times over. The wolf spirit said, No, ten times. I said, Can you afford it? I can afford it; I'll just get a few more people. That is to say, the difference between being victorious and not being victorious is really too great.

Today, I tell you: The key to victory lies in the fact that the entire church has a very detailed management system, very detailed responsibilities, and every brother and sister does their best in their position to hold on to their duty. Today, we must begin to see that running to different churches causes very serious corruption to the church.

Some time ago, a person wanted to leave their original church. As a result, the pastor of their original church tried desperately to keep them, and they were too embarrassed to leave, so they stayed. After staying, they told the brothers and sisters of their church, You go there, you go there, and brought everyone who needed it to other churches. That is to say, the role they played in the church was a corrupting role. I am very surprised by this. Why build a disunited church? If you're going to build one, build a united church. The reason we are able to win battles today is because we are a united church; we can plunder the devil, the enemy.

Today, there are too many blessed people among us. I heard a testimony in a pastoral district: This person is a teacher in Singapore. Not long ago, I drove out many demons from her. As a result, on Monday, when she opened her email at the office, she received a letter of reward from the local school, as well as her rating results, and she also received a lot of bonuses. You say that this matter is related to the victory in battle and being blessed, you say that these two things are not related, then the benevolent see benevolence, and the wise see wisdom.

But later we found that in fact, similar things are very common among us, that is, winning the battle and obtaining the promise, this is our core value system. In order to win the battle and obtain the promise, God did one thing:

The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, “Every one of the children of Israel shall encamp by his own standard, beside the emblems of his father’s house; they shall encamp some distance from the tabernacle of meeting all around.” (Numbers 2:1-2)

That is to say, you must be by the standard of your own tribe. Today, we are no longer what tribe of Judah, what tribe, but today you must hold on to your duty in this church, and become a good soldier, and fight spiritual battles with us. Today, you belong to the standard of your own tribe. One day in the future, you may say that you want to switch to another church, that's okay, you must do your duty well in that place and hold on to your position.

That is to say, our God began training the Israelites in Numbers chapter 2. What kind of training were the Israelites to receive at this time? That is, you must stay in your position. You know, the Israelites were slaves, and slaves are people with very little organization and discipline. The nature of slaves is that if you don't watch them, they don't know where to go.

## Be a Faithful Person

In the workplace, you must be a faithful person; those studying at university should also be faithful. A Peking University student attending classes at Tsinghua University will not receive credits unless there are special arrangements between the two schools. Today, our generation's churches are not necessarily all the same; today in the tribe of Judah, tomorrow in the tribe of Reuben, and the day after in the tribe of Dan. This is a violation of the word of the Lord God:

**The Israelites are to camp, each in their own division, under their standard, facing the tent of meeting on every side. (Numbers 2:1)**

The first chapter deals with personal family matters, the number of people. In Exodus, the eating of the Passover lamb is discussed family by family. So we know that God is training a mighty church to be His mighty army, so the church must be clearly organised and disciplined. When we overcome the enemy, the power of God will be released from the church. Our church is now doing the best in healing and deliverance.

Recently, I have been writing a book on healing and deliverance. The person helping me organise the book says I am writing well because in this book I will tell people where the problems lie. Without the concept of the church, there is no concept of spiritual warfare. That is just doing healing and deliverance at a very low level. We must change this concept. **Our healing and deliverance is based on the result of victory in spiritual warfare.** If spiritual warfare is victorious, the church must be the army of Jehovah.

The Bible says that on the day God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, on that very day, after four hundred and thirty years, the army of the Lord came out of Egypt. God's intention is to train a mighty army. In this place, it must be according to the numbered army, and the number of troops must be the same as before. You can't run around. Training an army must be very strict. God is training such an army to enter the land of Canaan and seize that land.

We must have the concept of victory. Many churches in this generation are not victorious because the church has lost the concept of victory. Many people see the family as very important, saying, Without a family, how can there be a country? But in reality, without a country, how can there be a family! We must know that God's intention is to build a strong and powerful army. Rick Joyner wrote The Hordes of Hell are Marching, but in fact, the hordes of hell are aimed at the church. The ending says that a great spiritual civil war is approaching. God is training the church to be an army for spiritual warfare. Faced with the devil and the hordes of hell, we must rise up and fight against the devil. This is the responsibility of the church. Moses counted the number again, and the number of troops did not change at all. This shows that His soldiers must belong to His own standard, and not a single one can be missing.

We cannot run around in the church. When I first started the church, it was very hard because the brothers and sisters who came were not committed to our church. God gave a revelation to return them to their own churches because they all had their own churches. After returning, our church became very unified, and healing and deliverance took on a powerful colour of God's glory. Building God's glorious church is the foundation of healing and deliverance. Building a mighty army can become a glorious church, releasing the mighty power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead. We must know God's will, not one can be missing, not one can run to the wrong standard.

Today, we must not only have the concept of holding our own position, but also have a concept of obedience. Moses had commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds to manage the Israelites. The church is in line with the Israelites led by Moses in the Old Testament. Because our target is not people, but the devil who controls the dark world, we must know that the root of many problems is closely related to the spiritual realm. The Bible constantly repeats who is the leader, so there must be a concept, because under each leader there is an army under command. This concept is the concept of authority. Without authority, there is no obedience.

The weakest soldier in America will also share the victory感言. The church must also have the concept of an army. The reason why a church is corrupt and has no power is because it does not have the concept of an army. If I had had the concept of an army earlier, I would have kicked out that couple in the early church long ago. They didn't keep to their responsibilities, running around. Christians must abide by the rules, have the concept of the church, and belong according to your family, according to your standard and banner. It's not that you are a Christian, so it's the same everywhere.

## Establish a Correct Church View

We must not only have a church view, but also obey your leaders. Moses and Aaron did according to what the Lord commanded. They strictly followed God's instructions to implement them. The first chapter says: Whatever the Lord commanded Moses, he did so. In fact, Moses may not necessarily understand what God is doing, but Moses did it accordingly. The Israelites also began to train in this way. The problem that Israel committed later was complaining and not keeping the rules, and then they died in the wilderness.

Because once people violate God's rules, they will be cursed, and evil spirits will come to corrupt you. It's not that God is not able, but that you have suffered a curse after violating the word of God. A brother told me that God will not curse people, but the Bible clearly says: If you carefully obey the words of God, you will be blessed, and if you disobey the words of God, you will be cursed. From Adam and Eve onwards, they were cursed by God, and some people even think that our God is Santa Claus. Jehovah is the commander of His army, constantly leading us forward, constantly fighting victoriously, plundering the devil and the enemy. That is an important concept of the church.

There is one tribe here, the Levites, who do not belong to the Israelites. The Levites and the descendants of Aaron, the priests and the Levites who managed God's tabernacle, do not belong to the fighting soldiers, but to the people of the Lord's tabernacle. The Levites do not belong here because the Levites are to belong to God, because all the firstborn were originally to be drawn out and set apart to the Lord as holy, but the Levites replaced the firstborn of the Israelites. They already belong to the various armies, and then the tribe of Levi replaced those firstborn to become holy to the Lord.

## Conclusion

Can everyone establish a church concept? Carefully examine the Bible. The theme of the New Testament is to build a glorious church, not a personalised theology at all. When people are united with brothers and sisters in the church, people will become holy, and repair the faults on you that lead to disunity. If the church is to become an army of God, it must let people deal with those fleshly faults on their bodies! The concept of the church is to build an army of God, fight victoriously, plunder the enemy, obtain the promises of God, and lead the brothers and sisters of the church into the promised land!
