Introduction

My friends, today we begin a new series. What is this series about? It is about Grace and Truth. The first message is entitled: "Full of Grace and Truth." Do you know what grace is? Grace is something you receive entirely for free, without earning it. To this day, the day I accepted the Lord remains vivid in my mind. At that time, I had lost all desire to live. I had no hope. I asked myself, what is the point of living?

At that time, everything went wrong. It was a miserable existence. Then, I walked into a church. I tell you, when I first entered, my vision was literally black and white, shrouded in grey. Why? Because my heart was blinded by evil spirits. Everything looked dull, devoid of beauty. The inner state of a person dictates their reality.

But when I walked out of that service, I looked around. The grass was incredibly green, the sunlight was magnificent, the clouds, the trees, the flowers—it was breathtakingly beautiful. Human perception is a remarkable thing. I wondered, why this sudden change? Inside the church, as we sang, tears streamed down my face. It felt like a lost child returning to his parents' embrace. If you ask me why I felt that way, I cannot explain it.

But one thing deeply moved me. The lyrics of an English hymn went like this: "Though He is the King of Heaven, He wants to be our friend." I thought to myself, who am I? You see, in Singapore, if you can curry favor with the Lee family, people think you have made it. But the reality is, you may know them, but they do not know you. The whole world knew Deng Xiaoping, the whole world knew Lee Kuan Yew, but whether Lee Kuan Yew knew you was a completely different matter. That was my pathetic reality back then.

Yet, here was the King of Heaven wanting to be my friend. What kind of logic is that? Only later did I realize this is what it means to receive something entirely for free. I gave God nothing, yet He loved me. This God is truly good. From that moment, I grasped a fundamental concept: receiving grace. But this concept often confuses people. Many believers find that after some time, their prayers seem to lose their power. They claim the "honeymoon period" is over. That is rubbish. The truth is, they have fallen from grace because they keep trying to offer something to God in return.

Human nature is peculiar. Some brothers and sisters in our midst always want to give me something. What could I possibly need from you? I need very little. They want to do something to show off, but frankly, very few things impress me. This makes me reflect deeply. The Gospel I preach is the Gospel of unmerited grace. It is not because we are good enough; it is because we are broken enough, and we desperately need it. That was my conviction when I first believed.

Our God loves us and wants us to receive freely. Yet, some believers are foolish. They ask, "Pastor, is it too utilitarian of me to come to God just to get benefits?" I tell them, "What else do you propose to do? What can you possibly offer God? Look at your miserable state—what do you have to give Him?" It is not a question of being utilitarian. Who doesn't want to receive benefits from God? It is entirely natural and right to receive from Him. He is our Heavenly Father.

Yesterday, I met a brother. When I saw him, I joked, "I almost didn't make it to see you today," because the day before, I had a close brush with death. This brother then shared testimony after testimony of God's grace. He is the top executive—the number one man—in his company. But even the top man needs God and His grace. Do you think leaders don't need grace? They face many problems they cannot solve on their own. He told me, "Pastor, my entire enterprise is doing exceptionally well, all because of God's grace."

He shared that one day, a female subordinate walked into his office, pale and shivering. He asked, "What's wrong? Are you sick?" She replied, "No, it's severe menstrual pain. It happens every month. I need medication, but I forgot to bring it." This brother said, "Come with me." Since the office was not a suitable place, he took her to his car. In the car, he played a recording of my prayers for fifteen minutes. He told me, "Pastor, after fifteen minutes of your prayer recording, her pain was completely gone." He then sent her a few prayer clips. She was worried the pain might return that night or the next day. But the next day, she was perfectly fine.

I tell you, this is remarkable. The Gospel I preach is a Gospel of receiving grace freely. Normally, if you talk to a subordinate like her about Jesus, they look at you with skepticism. They don't look like believers at all. But after this experience, what happened? She started listening to the sermons, taking notes, and writing summaries very seriously.

Many women suffer from severe menstrual pain from their teenage years all the way until menopause. They have to take medical leave and painkillers every single month. Let me tell you, many sisters among us who struggle severely with judging good and evil suffer from this pain. Yet, every single one who came to us was healed. What did this girl do for God to deserve this? Absolutely nothing. Why did God heal her? Because that is the nature of our God. But some people lose their way as they continue in their faith. They start thinking they must give something to God.

They ask, "God, what can I give You? What would You like to eat?" Do you think God is a patient in a hospital ward waiting for a food delivery? How absurd. Our God needs nothing from us. He only desires to bestow His blessings upon us. Do you understand? Look at the chat—so many sisters are typing that their menstrual pain has been completely healed.

This brother's own story is even more interesting. He used to be the number three man in his organization. The top leader was retiring. As the number three, he had very little actual work to do—it was mostly a ceremonial role. So, after joining our church, he spent his free time doing transcription and writing ministry for us. While doing this, he suddenly became the number one leader. The way it happened was miraculous. The number two man desperately wanted the top job, but he suddenly developed heart disease and other health issues and could not take it. Our brother essentially inherited the position, much like Judah among the twelve tribes. Furthermore, his branch was part of a larger state system that ranked performance. Under his leadership, without him doing anything extraordinary, God poured out His grace. His branch rose from the very bottom of the rankings to the top tier. I joked with him yesterday, "Your promotion to the top job was the grace earned from doing transcription ministry." We all laughed.

He said, "Pastor, I have another story." I said, "Tell me, I love these stories, and I will use them in my sermon tomorrow." He told me about his daughter, who was healed of depression through our prayers years ago. She went through middle and high school, and this year, she sat for the university entrance exam (Gaokao). Normally, her scores were around 280—not even enough for a basic college. In the mock exams, she got 360. I said, "Wow." He said, "Don't say 'wow' yet, the best part is coming." The entire family was anxious about the exam. His wife, who previously had a lukewarm attitude toward faith, suddenly became extremely devout. She diligently went through our 101 Course, studying a lesson every three days, and prayed fervently. Since candidates cannot bring mobile phones into the exam hall, they downloaded my prayer recordings onto her smartwatch. She wore her earphones, listening to the prayers while taking the exam. His wife prayed desperately at home, studying the Book of Genesis in the 101 Course. It might sound amusing, but she scored 437. The qualification line for a four-year university degree was around 433. With her actual ability of 280, she qualified for a university degree. Now she has her pick of colleges. Previously, when he tried to bring his wife to see me, she refused. Now, she says she wants to meet the "great master." But it is not about me; it is entirely God's grace.

Let me ask you: what did they do for God? Nothing. It was pure grace. Brothers and sisters, align your attitude correctly. We must receive more of God's grace. We survive and thrive by His grace alone. Do not try to strike a deal with God. Do not say, "I give You this, so You give me that." In the early days of our church, whenever I announced a prayer meeting, people would slip away instantly. Very few attended. A month later, some came back saying, "Pastor, I need to pray." I asked, "Weren't you the ones who ran away faster than anyone else? Why the sudden desire to pray?" They replied, "Pastor, I failed my exam." Does prayer work when you fail? Yes, it does. When the results came out, they passed. The difference between passing and failing is like night and day. One student said, "Pastor, that is impossible. I barely wrote anything. How could I pass? Did they mix up my exam paper?" How God did it, I do not know. But we have seen massive miracles—people passing doctoral exams and graduating. It is not about what we give to God; it is entirely about His grace toward us. Why? Because the Gospel we believe in is a Gospel of receiving benefits from God. Do you understand this?

A few days ago, one of our sisters took leave to visit her mother. Her mother is a traditional Christian who strongly opposed us, viewing us as a cult. Her mother's faith was one of heavy struggle—she was dirt poor and in debt. On her way home from her church, she was hit by a car, suffering multiple fractures. She lay at home in excruciating pain, requiring morphine and pethidine. When our sister arrived home and saw her mother screaming in agony, it was heartbreaking. She asked me, "Pastor, what should I do?" I said, "Pray. Lead her in prayer." Her mother refused. I told her, "It does not matter. That resistance is from the demon, not your mother. She is under demonic oppression. You must discern this clearly."

So, regardless of her mother's resistance, she began to pray. She released her faith and said, "Mother, I pray that your pain will leave." Her mother, of course, wanted the pain to stop. But when her mother uttered blasphemous words, our sister said, "Mother, that is not you speaking. That is the demon. I will deliver you from this demonic oppression, and you will receive grace." Her mother wept. The blasphemy was not from her mother, but from the demon possessing her. Even pethidine and anesthetics had failed to relieve her pain. Yet, through prayer, the pain vanished completely, and she did not need any more injections for days. Today, our sister had to return to work. She told me, "Pastor, now that I am leaving, my mother's pain will probably return." I replied, "Not necessarily. You must understand the power of God. Our God is not limited by time or space. His power works even across thousands of miles."

Do you believe this? She said, "Pastor, my faith is too small." I tell you, God's grace does not depend on your physical presence. Some sisters among us lost their mothers to cancer, and the pain of that loss remains with them to this day. How do we share this Gospel of grace? We should not ask, "Do you believe?" and then walk away if they say no. Instead, we should ask, "Do you want to receive help? Do you want to be free from this pain? Let me share this grace with you." While we were still sinners, Christ died for us on the cross. This is how God demonstrated His love. We must restore our desire for God's grace. It is not about what we have done for God, but what He has done for us through His great salvation. Did these people give anything to God? No, God gave to them. The moment you try to give something to God to earn His favor, you fall from grace. Do you understand?

When we first believed, we were broken and had nothing to offer. We simply received. Why is it that as people grow in their faith, their attitude changes? They begin to think they must give something to God to earn His grace. That is how they fall from grace. They call it the end of the "honeymoon period." What nonsense. There is no such thing as a honeymoon period. Grace is eternal. Our God is always full of grace and truth. Do not fall from grace. I tell you, ministry is grace, work is grace, giving is grace, tithing is grace—everything is grace. Many serve God thinking they are making a great contribution to Him, only to end up with cancer. They are good people, but they have a mental block; they have fallen from grace. Do not lose grace. Live under it always. This is why the Apostle John wrote: "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth." Why did the Old Covenant fail? Because it lacked grace. What was the logic of the Old Covenant? Man sins, violates God's word, and falls under a curse. No man is without sin. Once cursed, demons come to oppress you, and you lose control. The demons then drive you to sin more, bringing further destruction. It becomes a vicious cycle that you cannot break on your own.

This curse remained unbroken until Jesus Christ, the Messiah, arrived. Our Lord Jesus came as the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world. He, the Lamb, became flesh and entered this world, overflowing with grace, giving it to us freely. He bore our griefs; He carried our curses. By His stripes we are healed, by His punishment we have peace, and by His precious blood we are redeemed. It is entirely free. Is that not a fact?

Once sin is laid upon the Lamb, demons can be cast out. We gain freedom, and we gain the capacity to choose to love God. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence would logically choose to receive more grace, to be delivered more completely, to cast out more demons, to secure more freedom, and consequently, to love God more and more. It is simple logic.

The message I want to drive home today is to bring you back to grace. It is not about merit. Do not tell me, "Oh, Pastor, I am not worthy." When will you ever be worthy? Even when you are lying in your coffin, you will still be unworthy. Frankly, you deserve nothing but a slap in the face—if I may speak bluntly. It is not a question of worthiness. The reality is that God loves us. He became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. Even when you deserve nothing, God still pours out His grace upon you. Tell me, what do you have that is not a gift of grace?

If you have a spinal issue, that problem is laid on Jesus. If you have a brain disorder or a stroke, it is laid on Jesus. If you suffer a myocardial infarction, it goes to Jesus. The blind, the lame—Jesus truly bore our iniquities. If you have any heart at all, this truth should move you to tears. Left to ourselves, we would be living under a curse, crushed and trampled upon by demons, utterly defenseless.

But Jesus came, bringing an abundance of grace. What does "abundance" mean? It means from the day you were born to the day you believed, and from the day you believed to the day you depart this world, every single step depends on grace. It is an all-encompassing grace. You live your entire life within His grace.

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, 'This was He of whom I said, "He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me."' And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him." (John 1:14-18)

Prayer

Father God, we thank You and praise You. You have provided the Lamb—the Lamb of God. He died for us, even on the cross, bearing our griefs, carrying our sorrows, and taking upon Himself our curses to liberate us from the bondage of sin. You have also given us the Holy Spirit as our Helper to guide us into Your grace.

Today, we return once again to Your grace. We simply receive and look to Your grace and mercy. O God, work Your salvation and continue Your marvelous work in us. Shape us according to Your will so that we may manifest Your image. Break every bondage upon us. In the name of Jesus Christ, we cast out these demons of sickness. Let the blind see, let the lame walk, and let the root of judging good and evil be completely severed.

O God, by Your power, by the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and by His love, we are more than conquerors. Help us, lead us, eliminate our bad habits, and put to death the deeds of the flesh so that we may become more like You. Lord, we desire to receive Your grace in abundance, grace upon grace. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Scripture Background

When the Apostle John wrote the Gospel of John, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke had already been in circulation for a long time. John wrote his Gospel in his old age. What was happening during that period? A very disturbing trend had emerged: many believers were falling away from grace and sliding into degeneration.

Let me tell you, departing from God's grace is a tragedy. Why did this happen? Because many people wanted to offer something of their own to God. How do we know this? Otherwise, why would John write this? When John wrote, many had already lost grace. Why? It was because of James, the biological brother of Jesus, and Peter. James, the author of the Epistle of James, propagated a highly problematic concept: the law. That legalistic approach strips people of grace.

I must warn you, even though the Epistle of James is in the Bible, do not ignore my advice. Read it critically. If you are an intelligent reader, you will discern that there is something fundamentally flawed in what James wrote. His theology is completely at odds with the message delivered by the Apostle Paul and Jesus Christ Himself.

Consider the leadership structure of the early church. The top leader was James, the author of the Epistle of James. The second-in-command was Peter, who wrote 1 and 2 Peter. John was the third. This means John had a front-row seat to the decline of the Jerusalem church. They ran it into the ground.

How did they ruin it? How did they end up so utterly bankrupt? John saw it happen with his own eyes. The reason was simple: they based everything on works. Let us be clear about this—whoever relies on the works of the law is under a curse. In his old age, John reviewed the history of the church, identified the root cause of the failure, and wrote the Gospel of John to address it.

This is why he wrote: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Who is this Word? It is Jesus Christ. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.

Why emphasize grace? Because grace, by definition, is free. If you have to earn it, it is wages, not grace. Is that clear? Falling from grace is a grave matter. They relied on the law. Did they lack love? No, they had love, but by making the law their foundation, they inverted the entire system. This is not a new problem. For fifteen hundred years, from Moses to John, legalism never worked. It is a cursed path because it fails on basic logic: you simply cannot keep the law perfectly. The root of the problem lies in a distorted understanding of God.

We must have a clear, realistic understanding of God. In the beginning was the Word. Where were you then? You might be born in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or 2000s. But in the beginning, you did not exist. Not only you, but your mother, your grandmother, and your grandfather did not exist. Did God require your assistance to create the universe? Obviously not. Why then do you put on airs today? You are, and always will be, a mere recipient. Why do you suddenly think so highly of yourself?

You get promoted from a junior clerk to a minor supervisor, and suddenly you think you are a big shot? You finally pay off your debts, and you think you have arrived? Let me tell you, many people lose their sense of perspective. They become arrogant, and the moment they do, they fall. They fall from grace. John saw this reality firsthand. John the Baptist came to bear witness to Jesus Christ, declaring Him to be the Messiah.

He was the light, and John the Baptist testified to that. What followed? To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. You may find this difficult to grasp fully, but the core issue is faith. Faith is the key. To those who believe in His name, He gives the authority to be His children.

Is it not by faith that we receive this authority to dominate the spiritual realm and subdue demons? You do not cast out demons because you are exceptionally good; you do it because you believe. You do not overpower these spirits through your own strength, but through the authority of Jesus Christ. By believing in His name, you become a child of God, equipped with His authority to suppress demonic forces. If this is not grace, what is? How could you possibly earn such power? You cannot.

Do not think you can approach God the way you visit your mother-in-law for the New Year, carrying a chicken in one hand and a duck in the other on a bicycle. God does not need your trivial offerings. What He requires is faith. If you cannot sleep at night, try exercising simple faith. It works. God will grant you the authority of His children to keep demonic forces at bay.

John wrote this to establish a fundamental truth: the Word that existed in the beginning became flesh in Jesus Christ. The Christ we believe in is not merely a historical figure of flesh and blood, but the incarnate Word of God. He was not born of human will or desire, but of God. What did He bring? Moses brought the law, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. I will elaborate on truth at a later date.

What does it mean to be full of grace and truth? It means He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He is both the Son of God and the Lamb of God. This is the precise identity of Jesus Christ. What do we believe? We believe that Jesus is the Lamb of God who bore our sins and carried our sorrows. Because of this, we have freedom in Christ. This is the core of all our testimonies.

None of what you have experienced was earned by your own merit. Do you honestly think God is deeply concerned with the triviality of your daughter's university entrance exams? He is not. Yet, He grants you this grace to comfort you. Therefore, we must understand the key points John laid down: first, the incarnation of Jesus Christ; second, the power of testimony. As Revelation states, we overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

Mark my words: if you are in a church where there is no presence of God and no testimonies of healing—where one member after another gets cancer and goes to the hospital, and eventually even the pastor gets cancer and ends up in the hospital—that is not a testimony. A true testimony is one of healing and deliverance, just as Jesus demonstrated. If a church only has testimonies of falling sick but none of being healed, my advice to you is simple: run. Get out of there immediately.

This brings to mind a case from several years ago. A sister joined our ministry. She was a working professional who dedicated her after-work hours to serving. She told us about her previous local church where she had been highly active.

Despite her enthusiasm, she noticed something was seriously wrong. Their leader fell gravely ill and passed away. The church leadership then pressured her to take over the position. She analyzed the situation logically: if the leader ended up dead, taking that spot was a bad proposition. She wisely declined.

Another enthusiastic brother stepped up to lead. He was full of zeal, driving people around and serving tirelessly. Later, we had to minister to this very brother because he suffered from severe gastric bleeding and a host of other frightening illnesses. When he fell ill, the congregation again asked the sister to take charge. She refused and eventually joined us. Why? Because we do not operate under such curses. She made a pragmatic decision. Was she a perfect believer? No. But she was smart enough to know she needed to receive grace rather than trying to make some grand, self-sacrificing contribution to God.

When I analyze these bizarre phenomena in churches, the diagnosis is clear: they have fallen from grace because they think they are doing God a great favor by making "grand contributions." That is a fatal mistake.

This was exactly the problem in John's era and in the Jerusalem church. John took a firm stand and elevated the message of grace. Some critics ask, "Are you preaching the Gospel of Grace?" Let me ask you: is there a problem with grace? Is there a problem with receiving grace? Absolutely not. Do not be misled into thinking grace is flawed. Our God is a God of grace. Do not let anyone deceive you; return to the Scriptures. Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, died and rose again to take away our sins and to give us authority over demons.

The captives are set free, and the oppressed are liberated. This is a highly effective reality. The angels of God ascend and descend among us. What is the logic behind this? This place is the temple of God; it is the gate of heaven. The angels are at work, bringing down heavenly blessings and taking up our earthly problems. Because this is His temple and the gate of heaven, we can draw upon heavenly promises and resources.

From the very beginning, our church has been a church of spiritual warfare. Once, I nearly stopped breathing. I have had several close calls, though I never quite died. On this occasion, I was suffocating—exhaling but unable to inhale. It was a near-death situation. I could not even utter a prayer. Suddenly, God opened my eyes, and I saw the hills covered with a dark mass of demons, firing arrows directly into my chest. That explained why I was struggling to breathe.

I prayed quietly, unable to even raise my voice. Then, I saw a brilliant flash of golden light above me. The heavenly hosts charged, and the demonic forces were utterly routed—shattered, completely defeated. I woke up, my breathing restored to normal. It was a massive spiritual battle. What did I do? Absolutely nothing. Jesus Christ did it all for me. The angels of God ascending and descending. We must see the heavens opened.

We must understand what the Apostle John wrote. You will see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending. For what purpose? To bring down grace. Let me be clear about this. I will break this down for you, step by step. If you think talking about "grace, grace, grace" is enough, let us now look at the hard facts.

In the Beginning was the Word

What was John writing about? "In the beginning"—the absolute beginning of all things—the Word was with God. Can you comprehend this? Let me tell you frankly: you cannot, and neither can I. But that was not John’s point. This was divine revelation. In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.

This links directly back to Genesis. God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. This Word, existing from the very beginning, is God Himself. Why start with this? Because it establishes the absolute foundation of our faith. The Jesus Christ we believe in is this very Word. That is the bedrock of our belief.

This Word is not some local deity that you can bribe with incense or food offerings. He does not reside on Mount Wutai or Mount Huaguo. He existed before time began. The Jesus Christ we worship today is this eternal Word.

What can you possibly offer Him? Which generation do you belong to? The 1960s? The 1980s? Even if your hair and eyebrows turn completely white, you can never become this eternal Word. At best, you are just a mortal born in a specific decade.

He is God. Let me be blunt: man must know his limits. We are mere mortals on this earth. We control very little. Once you accept this hard reality, you become humble. What is the logical conclusion? We need God. "In the beginning was the Word"—this is our foundation. We believe in the eternal Word, the God who became flesh.

This is the crux of the matter. Without this understanding, you lose all sense of perspective. Some people get a PhD and suddenly think they are masters of the universe. That is foolishness. Whether you are a PhD, a postdoc, or a professor, you must know your place. You are a human being with a highly limited lifespan and a very narrow vision.

Once you realize your limitations, humility follows. The things you worry about are incredibly trivial—utterly insignificant in the grand scheme of things. When you look at the vast cosmos, you realize how small you are. Why do we need God? Because we are utterly dependent. John establishes this foundation, and it is a verifiable truth.

The Word Became Flesh

The Word was in heaven, in the spiritual realm. With our physical eyes, we see nothing. We cannot touch Him. How then do we know God? Left to ourselves, we cannot. We fall into sin, the devil oppresses us, and we enter a vicious, unbreakable cycle. What was the solution? Before the creation of the world, God predestined Jesus Christ—the Messiah. The Word became flesh. We were created, we fell, we lost grace, and God prepared His only begotten Son to dwell among us, full of grace and truth. He brought the logic of heaven to us.

If you read the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapters five to seven, you will see two entirely different sets of logic. God’s logic versus man’s logic. One is the logic of eternal life; the other is the logic of destruction. The Word became flesh to bridge this gap, to bring us grace, so that the angels of God could ascend and descend upon the Son of Man. We have all received from His fullness—grace upon grace.

Jesus Christ brought truth down to earth. What do we believe? We believe He is the Word made flesh, the Son of God. How do we know this? The evidence is clear. When we pray in the name of Jesus today, are people healed? Yes. The blind see, the lame walk, and the dead are raised.

Why is the name of Jesus so powerful? Because He is the Word through whom all things were created. To this Word, healing a disease or removing pain is a minor matter. It is the power of God. Yet, Jesus often rebuked people for their lack of faith. Today, the same rebuke applies. You are too slow to believe; you do not comprehend the power of God.

What Jesus did was unprecedented in human history. No one before or after Him has done the same. Later, those who believed in Him, like the Apostle Paul, did the same works. And what about us? We do the same. The same Word made flesh dwells among us today. We must not deviate from this gospel of grace. The law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Let me tell you, grace is greater than the law. Under the law, we all deserve death. But Jesus fulfilled the law for us. We receive this grace and are transformed into His image. This is the logical framework. He came as the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world.

The Lamb of God Who Takes Away the Sin of the World

If Jesus had not borne our transgressions, we would be completely finished. You can never pay off your own spiritual debt to escape the devil's grip. It is impossible. Jesus paid that debt in full on the cross. Because the debt is paid, the devil has no legal hold over us. When we pray, we plead the blood of Jesus, and the demons must flee. This is highly effective. It works.

Do not demand legalistic obedience first. Give them grace first. When people are in pain and oppressed by demons, they need to experience the goodness of God's grace. It is not because they deserve it, but because they are in desperate need. This is how the Lamb of God takes away our sins. Paul considered everything else rubbish compared to knowing Christ. Do you truly value Him as your ultimate treasure?

He Baptizes with the Holy Spirit

John the Baptist preached repentance and baptized with water. But Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit and fire. There is a fundamental difference. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is crucial. It did not exist in the Old Testament; it began at Pentecost.

Let me remind you of the essential steps: first, repent; second, accept Jesus as Lord; third, be baptized in water; fourth, receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Praying in tongues is inseparable from this. We must rely on the power of the Spirit to put to death the deeds of the flesh. Do not fear. God designed this system to help you in your weakness. Understand that Jesus is the eternal Word who became flesh to give us grace first, then truth. Without grace, you can never attain truth.

You Will See Heaven Opened

When we first started the church in 2010, I preached on the heavens opening. We desperately wanted this place to be the house of God, where His presence dwells and angels ascend and descend. Did it happen? Yes, because we preach the true Word of Jesus Christ. He proved He is the Son of God through powerful miracles.

Jesus told Nathanael, "You will see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man." He achieved this through the cross, opening a portal for heavenly grace to build His glorious church.

When God's glory fills this place, we see countless testimonies. We only share a fraction of them because of time. I do not force anyone to attend. It is a matter of grace. If you choose not to listen, it is your own loss.

This is the house of God and the gate of heaven, just as Jacob realized in his dream. God is building His church on this rock. We are simply the beneficiaries of His overwhelming grace. Thank God that the gospel we preach casts out demons. All sickness and calamity are linked to demonic oppression. We cannot fight them in our own flesh. We must build a glorious church and receive His grace upon grace. Let the Spirit of God reveal this truth to you.
