【Sermon】- Seeking God Series (1) - Set your heart and soul to seek the Lord your God!

2026-02-15 71

Introduction

Good morning. Today, we will delve into a profound message, simple yet direct, capable of enlightening minds: "Set your heart and soul to seek the Lord your God." This marks the commencement of a new series, "Seeking God," where we will explore the theme of finding what is sought. This time, we focus on "Set your heart and soul to seek the Lord your God."

Last night, as I lay sleepless, contemplating the structure of this message, I listened to a sermon by a venerable pastor in his late eighties. His delivery was measured, lacking in fiery passion or emotional fervor, yet it encapsulated the essence of his life's experiences. The elder spoke of his lifelong devotion to God, and as he spoke, he was moved to tears, his voice choked with emotion. I, too, was deeply touched, gleaning invaluable insights from this man of God.

To this day, I cherish that encounter. Years ago, he advised me, "If you are to build a church, devote yourself to prayer and diligent study of the scriptures." I had anticipated some ingenious strategy, but there was none, only unadorned, practical wisdom.

However, I must share with you a logic that I possess, one that many young people lack. What is this logic? It is to seek guidance from those who have achieved greatness, and to diligently implement their counsel. In many ways, I am not one to be presumptuous.

No ingenious strategies, just unadorned practicality, diligently implemented. Twelve words in total. I can confidently say that I have executed this advice to the best of my ability. Thankfully, I did, didn't I? We must express our gratitude to that elder. Had I disregarded his wisdom and pursued my own path, I would have deeply regretted it. Looking back, I am filled with gratitude for his guidance.

You see, I possess a simple yet effective form of intelligence: heeding the words of those who have achieved success. What defines such a person? They have accomplished their goals, haven't they? Take investment, for example. One should listen to the counsel of Warren Buffett, a master in his field. And Charlie Munger, another figure of great acumen. These two elders have amassed wealth through a lifetime of investment.

Similarly, in church building, one should learn from those who have excelled in the craft. My wisdom lies in emulating those who have achieved success. I am not like many who insist on their own methods; my approach is entirely learned.

In my ministry, I am often struck by certain situations. Consider a man in his forties, who has achieved little since his twenties. How does he respond? He remains unchanged, for his parents, being wealthy, have spoiled him. Wealth can indeed corrupt. I advised him to heed his father, who had built the family fortune. This, however, stirred up a hornet's nest.

He was quick to criticize his father, finding fault with everything. I found his mindset baffling. He had accomplished nothing in life, save for criticizing his father. I pointed out that his father had achieved success and was worthy of emulation. He retorted, "I refuse."

Over the years, I have encountered individuals who, despite having successful fathers, refuse to follow in their footsteps. Is this not peculiar? They claim to desire their own path, independent of their father's legacy. What folly! They stubbornly resist, from their teens to their twenties, thirties, and forties, achieving nothing but continuing their obstinacy.

If such a person were to hear my sermon, I wonder if he would be offended. His father lamented to me that his son refused to take over the family business, a multi-million dollar enterprise. Instead, he insisted on forging his own path, a stubborn pursuit. I confessed that I envied such a position, having grown up with a father who was a hardworking laborer with limited education.

Recently, I counseled another individual, urging him to seek his father's advice. He, too, was full of criticisms. As the saying goes, "Those who disregard the counsel of elders will suffer." Even now, I heed the advice of elders, especially those nearing ninety.

I thank God that my knowledge is largely acquired, not based on my own assumptions. Do you understand? When someone speaks with an air of self-importance, I silently label them a fool. Consider David, a man of great wisdom in his old age. David's life offers many lessons for us.

Where did his wisdom lie? People marveled at his shrewdness in all his endeavors. But his secret was seeking God throughout his life. Reflecting on this, David summoned his family. "Listen to me, my family," he implored, "Set your heart and soul to seek the Lord your God." As he spoke, tears welled up in his eyes. Why? Because the past was vividly before him. Did you think the elder could forget his youth?

David's youth flashed before his eyes, a series of scenes depicting his lifelong pursuit of God.

David was remarkable. He established the Kingdom of Israel, unparalleled in its strength and influence. In his old age, David instructed his servants and sons, including Solomon, to set their heart and soul to seek the Lord their God. This is the theme of my message, a concise summary of his life's most valuable lesson.

Some spend their lives seeking only themselves, endlessly pondering in their minds. What good can come of such self-absorption? David, on the other hand, filled his mind with precious things. Those who seek only themselves live in their own world, foolish and misguided.

Recently, a prominent figure remarked that China graduates over ten million university students annually, perhaps thirteen million this year. He declared them all useless, the product of useless teachers and a useless education system. This sparked outrage, as he had offended millions. He spoke a truth, but was met with condemnation. Thousands, even millions, criticized him, and the video went viral.

These foolish children fail to recognize their own worthlessness. They are indeed useless, yet they believe themselves to be otherwise. They are lost, utterly lost. If only they could accept their state and strive to improve, there would be hope.

They are told they are successors to communism, but are they truly capable? They lack the ability, yet they deny it, unaware of their limitations. In modern times, their worth is even less. They cling to their pride, remaining useless. What a tragedy to live in such a state of self-deception. Therefore, I do not believe that children need to attend a mediocre university.

If one can gain admission to Tsinghua or Peking University, or a 985 institution, then by all means, pursue it. At least one can secure a 985-level career. But to send a child to a third-rate institution is a cause for concern. When I see such cases, I advise parents to train their children in practical skills from an early age.

I thank God that I can train children to be intelligent, not useless. I rejoice when I see a child become intelligent. Soon, I will visit a child, and I am filled with gratitude for God's grace. A father prayed that his child would not be admitted to high school. What kind of father is this? A wise one.

A child with a combined score of only a couple hundred points would be lost in high school, unable to comprehend the lessons. What is the point of attending? After a couple of years, the father personally trained him in renovation work, and he excelled, handling tools with skill. He was able to earn a living, while his classmates remained in school, struggling to understand their lessons.

Interestingly, this child took my Genesis manuscript from the internet and began to imitate my style in teaching Genesis, and he did it well. A child with previous reading and writing difficulties was now reading Genesis with ease.

This is teaching according to aptitude. The school system merely filters out those who are good at academics. Therefore, we, as brothers and sisters, must recognize that one must be able to earn a living. Without that ability, a 985 degree is useless. I saw a graduate of Beihang University living off his parents. Just because you graduated from Beihang does not guarantee a livelihood.

In the age of artificial intelligence, many things are being exposed. When the tide recedes, those without pants will be revealed, a shameful sight. How tragic to live in one's own world. Recently, I ministered to a brother in his thirties who still had not repaid his college debt. He rejected all my suggestions. To him, I was an expert, wasn't I?

I asked him what he planned to do. He said he would work as a construction worker. How much can one earn in construction? Foolish child, how can you call me foolish? Very well, you are wise, too wise to listen to others. Another child wants to pursue graduate studies. Let him pursue it. He will not listen to anything.

David summoned his servants, ministers, and sons. David became an expert, but he felt that he was not high enough. He felt that God was especially high. David said to them, "Family, listen carefully and implement diligently. One never stops learning. Set your heart and soul to seek the Lord your God!" As David spoke these words, tears streamed down his face. The scenes of gratitude were truly moving.

David was a shepherd from a young age, looked down upon by his family. When Samuel came to anoint a king, his father even forgot about David. His brothers were all accomplished, but David was sent to tend sheep. His father was displeased with him, and David endured much scorn from his family. Shepherding was dirty, tiring, and arduous, especially for a young child.

David's words were true. Lions and bears would attack the sheep. What should a child do when faced with such threats? He sought God, who revealed to him the design of a slingshot. The stones launched from this slingshot were the size of fists and flew with great speed. Before the lions and bears could approach, their heads would be crushed. No head was harder than the stone.

He was unerring in his aim. Why? Because he sought God. David's life was not easy. He had no good father, no good leader, a group of incompetent subordinates, and no good priest to help him. His life was filled with tears, but he had God.

In such trying circumstances, David still sought God. Thus, he exhorted, “Children, families, listen! Set your hearts and minds to seek God.” How does one become wise? Learn from David, Samuel, Moses, Jesus, the Apostle Paul, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. Though each had their flaws, we can learn much from their strengths, and what is most worthy of emulation is their seeking after the Lord their God.

I share my heartfelt words with you: emulate them, heed the guidance of these great figures, and set your hearts and minds to seek the Lord your God. Do you know, brothers and sisters, I am a seeker, and I have sought throughout my life, and continue to do so even now. There is much that is unclear, and little that is understood.

I tell you, to such an extent that our church's positioning is akin to scientific research. We are an institution of research and training. What does research mean? It means constantly seeking truth, constantly seeking God, constantly seeking to know God and the truth of God, without end.

This year, we must not only tear down but also rebuild. Tear down those things within us that we presume to know, and build up a system of wisdom. Copy the homework, copy whose? Copy David's, who sought God throughout his life. When you seek the Lord your God, you will receive benefits. When you are self-righteous, you become foolish and suffer losses.

Among us, those who have been deceived, was it not because of your own presumption? "I cannot tell the pastor about this; if I do, they will surely hinder my good fortune." Did they hinder it? No, and you were deceived, weren't you?

Deceived back to square one. Why do people act this way? Would it not be better to seek? Instead, you meddle blindly, leading to a miserable life. Remember, when you seek, you become wise; when you are self-righteous, you become foolish. This is the best summary of David's life. If you can heed it, you will be powerful.

Scripture

David also commanded all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon, saying, “Is not the Lord your God with you? And has he not given you rest on every side? For he has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land is subdued before the Lord and his people. Now set your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God. Arise and build the sanctuary of the Lord God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy vessels of God into a house built for the name of the Lord.” (1 Chronicles 22:17-19)

Prayer

Lord Jesus, deliver us from foolishness, tear down those self-righteous things within us, remove the lies within us, and let us reorganize ourselves and begin to seek you. You said, "Seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." O God, we seek your face; we desire your presence with us until we see your face, until the end of this world. O God, grant us such wisdom to know that seeking you is the greatest benefit. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Scripture Background

If you read the entire chapter of 1 Chronicles 22, what is it about? It speaks of David preparing materials for the temple he would build for God. Why prepare materials for God? Because God did not allow him to build the temple. God said, "David, you cannot build the temple for me; you do not have the qualification. Let your son build it for me."

How wise David was! So wise! He had no emotional reaction. If it were an ordinary person, they might say, "What? I cannot build the temple for you? Why so many problems?" That is speaking to God! God would slap you and you would not know where north is. But David said, "Okay, I am not qualified to build the temple, but I am qualified to prepare the materials! I am qualified to prepare the materials!" Brothers and sisters, think about it, what love for God this is.

What happened? David sought God, and God drew the plans for the temple for him, specifying what materials to use, what dimensions to use, what architectural structure to use, and what blueprints to follow. Why? Because although David was not allowed to build the temple, he still sought God! He still sought! What kind of person is this? This is a wise person, extremely wise.

And what God drew for him was astonishing. Those large stones were over three meters long, one and a half meters high, and one and a half meters wide, over three meters long. How many tons would that be? Where would you find them? And those large timbers, so thick and so long, oh my goodness, all hundreds of kilometers away, tens of kilometers away. How would you transport them?

Oh my goodness, what did David do? Seek! God granted him wisdom, letting him know how to do it. God paved the way for him. In the end, it was all miraculous, wasn't it? Seeking! Remember, if God gives you an impossible task, do not be afraid, because it is a task from God, isn't it? How could God not be able to do it? God can do anything.

David prepared materials, how much did he prepare? One hundred thousand talents of gold. One talent is approximately 34.2 kilograms. I ask you, how many tons is one hundred thousand talents? One hundred thousand talents! One hundred thousand talents is approximately 3,420 tons, oh my goodness! One million talents of silver, and copper and iron beyond measure. He prepared wood, stones, and many other things.

David was old. When people get old, they must arrange their affairs. What was the most important thing he cared about? The most important thing was the people of Israel, the people of Israel. And what did the people of Israel care about? Seeking God.

"Set your hearts and minds to seek God." What David spoke of, perhaps it is not recorded in the Bible. David must have given a very long sermon, and as he spoke, perhaps tears fell. "Seeking God throughout my life is my path; I seek God throughout my life." Thank God, seeking throughout my life. When I was young, I was looked down upon. If I had not sought God, how could I have overcome such insignificance?

As a teenager, his father sent him out to herd sheep, and he had to face wolves, lions, black bears, and brown bears, all large creatures. Alas, what to do? If he did not seek God, it would be a lie, wouldn't it? What to do? I do not know. His father just sent him out there to fend for himself.

Alas, what a feeling. So, what did seeking God obtain? What did it solve? It solved problems that he could not solve himself. David's father looked down on him, but it cultivated David's heart to seek God. "My father looks down on me, but my God looks up to me."

Because he sought God, God looked down from heaven and saw, "This child is good, isn't he? Let this child grow up well." I tell you, the more you seek God, the more handsome you become. The less you seek God and the more you seek yourself, the uglier you become, until you look like a twisted, cracked date.

As a result, God told Samuel to go to the house of Jesse, and he went. What for? To find David. David's brothers had good conditions but did not seek God. David's conditions were poor, but he sought God diligently. I tell you, later I truly discovered this pattern. David was anointed because he had sought God before.

God gave David layer upon layer of trials, but each time he overcame them more than victoriously through God. Even later, he defeated Goliath, didn't he? No matter how hard your head is, how big and thick your sword is, it cannot compare to the stone in my hand. My stone, thwack, fifty meters away, hitting the bullseye every time, thwack, splitting your head open. Goliath, holding his sword, looked at this insignificant person and did not take him seriously, but he was defeated by David's sling.

No matter how harsh the conditions, no matter how terrible the environment, with God, you have everything, don't you? Later, David was pursued. You say, before he was pursued, he became the king's son-in-law. Did he not know that Saul wanted to harm him? I tell you, David encountered all kinds of terrible environments: a terrible father, a terrible superior, a terrible boss.

He also did not receive much education; it was all self-taught. He also encountered terrible subordinates, leading a rabble. But he became a very famous king. Whether in Christian history, Jewish history, or other secular histories, there is such a figure as David. Later, he was usurped by his son. Even after being usurped by his son, he still sought God.

He sinned, offended God, but still sought God. As long as there was one time he did not seek God, he messed things up. So, brothers and sisters, is David powerful or not? The stories he told to his servants, ministers, sons, and Solomon were the most perfect interpretation of his life, the most beautiful summary, and a high-level generalization of the secret he walked through in his life—seeking God, setting your heart and mind to seek God. Do you understand? Set your heart and mind to seek God. I tell you, there are too many lessons and things we need to learn; learn from David.

In fact, I tell you, seeking is a very important basic quality of our Chinese Mingding Doctrine. Back then, I wanted to lead everyone to study Genesis. After reading the first chapter of Genesis, I tell you, it is not an exaggeration, I read it not less than a thousand times, maybe five hundred, maybe thousands of times. I did not understand it. I searched for information online, but I did not think what they said was right. Why? Because I did not think God was telling me that he was creating the heavens and the earth. There must be other meanings. We must act on God's words. How can we act on this?

I knelt there and prayed, one day, two days, nothing. One week, nine days, ten days, eleven days, twelve days, nothing. But I tell you, even if it took a year, if I did not get an answer, I would still seek. Thank God, he had mercy on me. Two weeks passed, and God told me what Genesis was about. This is a very important revelation from God for our Chinese Mingding Doctrine in studying Genesis. How God creates, so we create. I tell you, I am truly a seeker. If I were not a seeker, how could I have come this far?

I tell you, I put a lot of effort into every Bible study. Brothers and sisters, do not think it is something I came up with off the top of my head. If you have the chance, you can see that everything I have has a script. I am never the kind of person who stands there without a script and speaks whatever comes to mind. Everything I have has a script.

Sometimes, when preparing for a Bible study that is supposed to start at 8:00 PM, at 6:30 PM, I am sleepy and tired, my head is buzzing, and I read that chapter of the Bible and I am completely confused. I do not know what it is talking about, I really do not know. I take a nap, and when I wake up, it is 7:45 PM. There are only fifteen minutes left, and I still do not know.

In my heart, it is quite difficult. Seeking God means that even when I am sleeping, when I am taking a nap, I am still seeking what this chapter is about. Thank God, in the end, I wrote the script in those fifteen minutes, and tears almost came out. It is all sought out. It is not just a summary of David's life, but also a summary of the life of seeking God for each of our brothers and sisters.

There are too many difficulties encountered, too many difficulties encountered. Besides this, there are many pastoral difficulties. Which one can be solved without seeking? Studying Genesis, and later every Bible study, is the result of seeking God. I read in the Bible that "seek and you will find," what a good promise, this promise is so good.

David taught his servants and sons, "Set your hearts and minds to seek the Lord your God, seek diligently, and you will find." Do you understand? It is not that when you encounter difficulties, you slip away. Our God actually wants to see our character, to see if we are a seeker, if we are a person who sets their heart and mind to seek.

If you set your heart to seek God, not for your own benefit, not for your own glory, I tell you, you will surely live out a life as splendid as God's. Actually, our church still has many problems to solve, and I have my own worries. Seeing so many problems unresolved, my heart is weary. I say this to encourage everyone to buck up, and put to good use the talents God has given you, and dedicate them to God.

I know you are not capable, and God knows it too. God does not expect you to be very capable, God expects you to seek. If you seek and do not find, do not be afraid, know that one day God will open the door for you. God will let you find, because it is God you are seeking.

God has given me extremely beautiful gifts, and I really want to create a learning environment for the brothers and sisters, for my colleagues, a seeking environment. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I need to create for you a harsh environment like David's, so that you will seek better, but I cannot bring myself to do it. But if you want to build a temple for God, you must seek God. Remember, if you want to build a temple for God, you must seek God.

If You Want to Build a Temple for God, You Must Seek God

David said to God, God, I want to build a temple for you. God said no, your son will build a temple for me. Is that the end of the matter? No, it is not the end of the matter. God is still testing David. If it were an ordinary person, oh, you don't need me, then forget it. Actually, it is not forgetting it, it is falling. This David thought, God said He does not need me to build a temple for Him, then what can I do? Quickly do the preparatory work.

If you want to build a temple for God, you must seek God. As a result, David prayed and sought every day, God, what kind of temple do you want? Didn't I tell you not to build a temple for me? But God, I don't need to build it for you, but I really want to know what the temple looks like. God, I can't see this temple when I am alive, but in my mind, I want to see this temple.

Seeking while weeping. I want to see, God, I long to see your temple. I can't see the real thing, I have to see the blueprints, right? Can I see the blueprints? Oh, I tell you, God said, isn't this a treasure? This is a treasure. I even told him not to build a temple for me, but he wants to see the blueprints, so draw them for him.

I hope that through this sermon, all the brothers and sisters can become seekers. God, I want to build a glorious church for you. Even if you have not chosen me, I must constantly seek, right? All God wants is this kind of character, not the kind of petty temper, you don't let me build, then forget it, then I won't build it. David deeply understood God's heart, knowing that God is training people.

Brothers and sisters must know that the price to be paid for building God's glorious church is not something everyone can afford. But if one can build His temple for God, build His glorious church in one's lifetime, I tell you that is an extremely great blessing. Even if God has not chosen me, I still want to. God, I just believe that when I seek, you will surely let me find. No matter how much suffering there is, I can sweat, I can cry, but I cannot lose the will to seek you.

God used His finger to draw for David. What kind of person can see the blueprints drawn by God's finger with their own eyes? I tell you, that is a heart-wrenching seeking. Do you want to be such a person? If you want to be such a person, you are a remarkable person. You can sweat, you can cry, you can bleed, but you cannot lose the opportunity to build God's glorious church for God. All who have such a will, I am not your leader, God is.

Let us together, in this generation, shine like bright lights, building a church filled with God's glory. David is very powerful, we all admire him, so powerful. With a will, God, we all want to be such people, what could be more exciting than being such a person? Let us live out God's glory in this empty life.

In the beginning, when building the church, many people were not optimistic. Some people said, has God chosen you to do this work? Oh, I tell you, that was quite discouraging. My response was, even if God has not chosen me, I will still do it, just do it. Thank God, we don't know if God has chosen us, but if we have such a heart, God said David you don't need to build a temple for me, your son will build it for me. I will not stop seeking.

You Must Seek God Even When Preparing Materials for God's Temple

Now the materials of the church are you, are us, we are the materials for building the church. So hard to find! God, look at the picture you drew, a stone more than three meters long, do you know how heavy a stone more than three meters long is? The wood alone is very thick. Our Jerusalem, looking at it, is all stone mountains. Do you think Mount Sinai, can wood grow on Mount Sinai? God, after drawing the picture, I am also very desperate.

David stared blankly at the picture, staring blankly at this pile of materials. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible! David sought God, and God opened up a path for him. Building God's glorious church is not us building, it is God Himself building. When brothers and sisters have this heart, building God's glorious church, I am so moved, you are the materials that God sends from all directions.

I shared with some people what kind of church we are building, and they don't quite believe it. Where can you find such people? Haven't we found them? Yesterday a sister said, teacher, I want to find you. I said what's the matter? She said, what are my next arrangements, how can I serve better? Because she works in someone else's company, and her time is not free.

I said, with your ability, can you start your own construction, start your own company, be your own boss, and have the final say? Do it if you want to, don't do it if you don't want to. Serve if you want to serve, don't serve if you don't want to. Work if you want to work, don't work if you don't want to, the time is all your own arrangement. She said, teacher, we thought of the same thing. I am particularly moved, every time I see a brother or a sister, with a heart to build God's glorious church, I thank God.

These are all treasures found through seeking, we must use gold, silver, and precious stones to build God's glorious church. You may say, teacher, why are you so moved? I see so many treasures, God brought you here, how can I not be moved? In the early days of building the church, knowing God's glorious church, I didn't dare to believe there were such people, right? Where can these materials be found? God Himself transported them.

Seek God for the Skilled Craftsmen Needed

David also commanded all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon, saying, “Is not the Lord your God with you? Has he not given you rest on every side? For he has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land is subdued before the Lord and his people. Now set your heart and soul to seek the Lord your God. Arise and build the sanctuary of the Lord God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy vessels of God into a house built for the name of the Lord.” (1 Chronicles 22:17-19)

We were among the first to establish an online church. When we started to establish an online church, oh, it was hard, really hard. Why was it hard? There were no skilled craftsmen. But are there skilled craftsmen now? Yes! God brought the skilled craftsmen, and we are a church with almost 100% digitalization.

Brothers and sisters must know that many things are God's wonderful preparation. Don't I often tell everyone? We write our own software, we decorate our own houses, we see our own doctors, we teach our own children. Where are the skilled craftsmen? The skilled craftsmen are us. God brought the skilled craftsmen into our midst. Until now, we can boldly declare that artificial intelligence is prepared for us! What we will do in the future far exceeds our current capabilities. But we have faith in our hearts, because we seek God, God will surely prepare, not only preparing the materials, but also preparing the skilled craftsmen.

Our Xiaomu now helps many small pastors, helps many brothers and sisters. The answers are so good, right? Why do I say it's good? Because a lot of the content is what I said. You say building God's temple, the surrounding enemies will disturb you.

To Subdue the Enemy is to Seek God

Let's advertise Xiaomu, everyone can use it more. We didn't dare to open it up for a while, but now it's all open, everyone can use it. Why? Because our algorithm is not so optimized yet, but now we should have overcome many difficulties.

When did David want to build a temple for God? After fighting the war, subduing the enemy. All the surrounding countries had to pay tribute to David, every year. Where did so much gold and silver come from? From tribute, right? Which country saved a little gold and brought it over, if you don't bring it, I'll beat you, if you don't bring it, I'll beat you. Why? For the use of God's temple.

I am filled with emotion, finally one day, the surrounding borders were all quiet. These people were terrified at the mere mention of David's name. God was with David, clearly with David. You can't win if you fight with David. Every time David went out to fight, he would seek God, God, how do I fight this battle? How do I fight that battle? That's not a joke, one defeat is enough to give you a hard time, right? Thank God, the enemy was subdued, and the surroundings were quiet.

To Govern the Country is to Seek God

Earlier, he told his son Solomon, you must seek God, you must have wisdom. Did Solomon listen? He listened. So the first thing he asked for was God, give me wisdom to govern the people of Israel. How good it is to seek God, God is our wisdom, God is our source of wealth, God is our best resource, God is the source of our skilled craftsmen, God is the source of our materials, God is the source of our design ingenuity, God is the source of our wisdom to govern the country, govern the people, and govern the church.

God is the key to our subduing the enemy, right? So a life of seeking God lacks no good thing. If you need a master, you might as well need a God. God sits on His throne, not only is the height high enough, the dimension is wide enough, but also can see the future. If He knows the future and gives you a little revelation, that is enough.

So seeking God can make you smart. I tell you, the church fights against the devil and the enemy on one hand, subduing these enemies, and on the other hand governs God's people, guiding the brothers and sisters to a God-centered life, and then builds God's glorious temple, builds God's sanctuary, and brings the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy vessels of God into a house built for the name of the Lord. Those are all treasures, those are all holy vessels.

Set Your Heart

It is not easy to set your heart, none of them are easy. But when you set your heart to seek, you will surely find. Brothers and sisters, this is a character, if you really have this character of setting your heart to seek, how can you not find it?

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)

Actually, God has been waiting for us there for a long time. Then why does He make us seek so hard? Because He needs us to have a character of setting our heart. When you start to choose this path, you will never give up in your life, never give up. Thank God, God gave me such a character. I thought, it turns out that serving God is my Mingding Doctrine!

I didn't know before, but after establishing the church and founding the Chinese Mingding Doctrine, I realized that God has a wonderful plan for us, and what is needed is this character of setting our heart. You are not capable, God knows, you also know, but this character cannot be lacking. Never give up if you don't get it, seek now, seek tomorrow, and if you are still seeking a year later, you must seek ten years later, until the moment you leave the world, you are still seeking. Seeking His face, seeking His heart, may God's will be done, Amen.

Our sermon ends here, may God bless everyone.
