Introduction: What Counts is What You Do

Greetings! I am very pleased to meet you online again. Today is actually the third lecture of our Healing and Deliverance Conference. Originally, the second lecture was supposed to be on The Victorious Church, but I saw that many people still have a lot of confusion and doubts about being filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. Therefore, we need to address these issues, so we inserted a lecture called The Gospel of Being Filled with the Holy Spirit. I believe that everyone's confusion about being filled with the Holy Spirit should now be largely resolved.

Another confusion that everyone brought up during the first lecture was about citing Song Shangjie, Ni Tuosheng, and other famous contemporary pastors one by one. However, there is one thing: people asked me questions that I, with my limited knowledge, did not know about Ni Tuosheng and Song Shangjie. I have also read their books, but I have not gained much insight from them. Later, when people asked me about Ni Tuosheng and Song Shangjie, I basically said one thing: Do you believe in Ni Tuosheng, John Calvin, or Martin Luther? You are free to believe in whatever you want. As for me, I believe in my Lord Jesus.

You may believe in Ni Tuosheng's theological system, or you may believe in Song Shangjie's theological system. But today, my brothers and sisters, you know the saying I often use: A mule or a horse, take it out for a walk. Whether it resembles Jesus after the walk is what ultimately matters. In fact, this is very simple. I admire Deng Xiaoping's saying very much. His analogy of the black cat and white cat is particularly good: what good is a cat that can't catch mice? The purpose of raising cats in the village is to catch mice, not to feed them fish, but to guard the house well, right? Keeping a dog, if the dog doesn't guard the house, now dogs don't guard the house, they have all become pets. The question is: where have we gone with our faith in Jesus today?

I myself am an academic type of person. People call this type of person an academic. What is an academic? It is someone who likes to combine theory with practice in everything. Indeed, black cats and white cats both catch mice, they are good cats, but what is their theory? For example, I classify the Bible as scripture, and I call my sermons treatises. Scripture and treatises, have you heard of this? For some new friends, I will elaborate on this a bit. Scripture is a highly generalized summary of the basic laws of a profession or industry. For example, in traditional Chinese medicine, the Huangdi Neijing (Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon) is the scripture of Chinese medicine, and Zhang Zhongjing's Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber are treatises. What is scripture and what is treatise? Scripture is a highly generalized summary of the laws of things, and treatise is how to use the basic laws.

Theme: The Victorious Church is Key

Therefore, the topic I am speaking on today is The Victorious Church is Key. For example, citing Song Shangjie, Ni Tuosheng, John Calvin, Wesley, and Martin Luther cannot replace the Bible. The Bible should be read carefully, and whose words should we read? Read the words of Jesus, why should we read the words of Jesus? Because we must put them into practice. Think carefully, we must put the words of Jesus into practice, and what we talk about are all treatises. When we practice the truth in the Bible, there will inevitably be practical deviations. How to measure the deviation? It is simply whether it resembles Jesus or not.

When have you ever seen Jesus preaching with hemorrhoids and blood flowing everywhere? I haven't seen it! I have seen Jesus heal people with hemorrhoids. I have also never seen Jesus undergo electrotherapy or chemotherapy. He died from being nailed to the cross, not from therapy. The Jesus I saw was preaching the gospel, healing the sick, and casting out demons. What did Jesus train his disciples to do? Preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons. Why did Song Shangjie die of illness? Today, if we return to the fundamentals, we should not think that everything everyone does is correct. We may not be entirely correct, and there are still many things that are incorrect. If we were all correct, we would be very much like Jesus. We must say that Song Shangjie was a remarkable evangelist, but did he really understand the words in the Bible thoroughly? We can put a small question mark. I believe he ran a certain distance on his path of seeking.

Today, I also frankly say to those who come to seek healing and deliverance that you have come to the right place. Why do I say you have come to the right place? Because this is the place for binding and releasing. Why do we do binding and releasing? Because this is the most basic work of the church, and a victorious church is fundamental. Today, I will sort things out for everyone from the beginning, step by step. Why do we often not see the fulfillment of God's promises? In the past many years, everyone can give me some feedback. Whether it is Song Shangjie, Ni Tuosheng, or John Calvin, who can explain these perplexing phenomena clearly, one by one? Very few!

Why can't they explain it clearly? There is a very important point: building a victorious church is key! This pastor died of cancer, that pastor died of cancer, why is this so? I tell you, I was also confused before. The reason why I created the Chinese Mingding Doctrine system is because of these confusing phenomena. I said they must not have done it right. If they had done it right, they should be like Jesus. If they didn't do it right, today I will return to the Bible to examine it carefully. After examining it, I immediately understood the matter. Do you know what Jesus said?

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 16:18-19)

I read this sentence, and I know it is what Jesus said. Brothers and sisters, do you know how many churches have truly understood the definition of the church? I ask you: what is a church? Is putting up a church sign a church? The definition of the church is not like that. What is the church? God will build his church on this rock. What is this rock? It is the truth of Jesus Christ. The power of Hades will not overcome it, and the power of Hades is the root of disease. God will give the keys of the kingdom of heaven to the church. Whatever the church binds on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever the church looses on earth will be loosed in heaven.

The Basic Work of the Church is Binding and Releasing, Healing the Sick and Casting Out Demons

Some people said to me: Our church is very good! I said: How is it good? He said: Our church has many programs. During Christmas, we wear big colorful pants and hold big colorful fans, and we put on many programs for everyone. I said: Forget it! Your programs are not as good as Zhao Benshan's comedy sketches. Come and see! During Passion Week, we will perform Jesus' crucifixion. What's so good about it? There's nothing good about it. Brothers and sisters must know: what exactly is the church for? Is it for putting on programs? No! Why do today's churches say: Your church has this gift, and our church doesn't have this gift. Your church has the gift of healing the sick and casting out demons, and our church doesn't have the gift of healing the sick and casting out demons. Every church is different and has its own position. This is God's wonderful work.

The problem is that we must clarify the concept. What is the concept? What exactly is the church? What is the church defined by Jesus? The power of Hades cannot overcome it. Let us ask: How many victorious churches are there today? I ask you: can wearing big colorful pants and waving big colorful fans on the stage, jumping around, win? It cannot win! How can it win? Winning must involve overcoming many difficulties and defeating many generals. In the spiritual world, we must fight battles. After the battle, what is bound on earth will be bound in heaven, and what is loosed on earth will be loosed in heaven. The gospel of our Christ Jesus is the gospel of binding and releasing, not about having gifts or not having gifts. The most basic work of the church is to bind the powers of darkness, which is to overcome the powers of Hades, which is to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons. This is a crucial component of spiritual warfare.

Only a Church Built According to God's Word Can Be Victorious

We often say that the kingdom of God is coming. How does the kingdom of God come? Why haven't I seen it? Those who haven't seen it are living very miserably. Many Christians live very hard and very miserably. Why? Because there is no victorious church. Why is there no victorious church? Because they are not doing things according to Jesus' words, that is, they are not building the church according to Jesus' definition. If the beginning is off, the rest is needless to say. If we don't build according to God's word, it means not doing healing and deliverance, not doing casting out demons.

Chinese Mingding Doctrine, if summarized in three words, is: like Jesus; if summarized in four words, it is: strive earnestly; if summarized further, it is: binding and releasing. Today, brothers and sisters must know what Jesus did on earth. A large part of Jesus' work was all about healing the sick and casting out demons. Jesus trained his disciples to do healing the sick and casting out demons. Jesus himself did healing the sick and casting out demons. Of course, he also did a lot of teaching. Then how did he demonstrate what he taught? It was through preaching the gospel, healing the sick, and casting out demons. Today I tell those who come among us seeking healing and deliverance that you have come to the right place. Because this place is doing binding and releasing according to what Jesus said. I will bind the powers of darkness in you; I will break off these bondages in you. I want to release you as a person. So everyone must know that this is good news. The gospel we believe in is to let the captives be released and the oppressed be set free.

Everyone should take a closer look. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is a very critical part. Think about it carefully. Today is the third lecture. The first lecture was about what salvation is. Many people define salvation as: dying and going to heaven, living like hell. Let us return to the Bible, the Bible does not say this. It turns out that this salvation is to allow us to live out God's glorious image, because we were originally created in that image. So how do we live it out? The first step: be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit solves an individual problem. What do we do when we are filled with the Holy Spirit? One Lord, one faith, one baptism, and then we must build God's glorious church. If we read Ephesians, Ephesians talks about building God's glorious church; if we read Colossians, it talks about building God's glorious church; if we read 1 and 2 Corinthians, it also talks about building God's glorious church, solving the problems that arise in the church; if we read Hebrews, it also talks about building God's glorious church. Reading all these New Testament scriptures is about building God's glorious church. If you read Revelation, Revelation is talking about the victorious church. It is written to the messengers of the seven churches: whoever overcomes will be like this and like that. You will know that building God's glorious church is the theme of the New Testament. Everyone must know: not overcoming is not the solution to the problem. Overcoming is the solution to the problem. Why have so many perplexing phenomena arisen in the past? The key is not establishing a victorious church.

Not establishing a victorious church is fatal, because God will build his church on this rock, and the power of Hades cannot overcome it. God will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Read these words carefully. If you build the church according to God's words, it will surely be a victorious church. If we don't build according to God's words, it is difficult to overcome. You may be doing it according to a little bit, but if it doesn't form a system, it still won't work.

Truly summarizing and concluding the gospel of Jesus Christ into a set of belief systems, I later discovered that the Apostle Paul's system is clear and distinct. As for others, I don't know. I know that the Apostle Paul was a person who built God's glorious church. As for whether others have built the church into a state of extreme poverty, I don't care, and I don't learn from them. I learn from the Apostle Paul, and I imitate Jesus Christ. If the definition is not correct, where can we go? So the concept must be clear, what are we going to do, and how are we going to do it? What we are going to do is to live out God's glorious image. How are we going to do it? Be filled with the Holy Spirit. What do we do when we are filled? Build God's glorious church, build God's victorious church. The victorious church is God's heart.

Only When the Church is Victorious Can Individuals Be Victorious

Many people go to build glorious families, glorious enterprises, glorious governments, and glorious cities. But I am going to build God's glorious church, because the glorious church is God's heart. Do you know what the New Testament is exploring? The New Testament is exploring one theme: building a victorious church. Many people set aside this matter of the victorious church.

Some time ago, I visited a church pastor. On that day, he called to say he couldn't make it. I asked him what was wrong. He said his wife had broken her leg. After a while, I said I would visit him again. He said he couldn't because he himself had cancer. Alas! I said, How unlucky! So today, when we see these perplexing phenomena, as a pastor, as a Christian, you need to know what God's Word says and what kind of church should be built. Why can’t this church release people from bondage? Because this church is not victorious. Why would someone suffer from hemorrhoids, bleeding all over the place, and eventually die miserably from illness? Not victorious! Why are there so many perplexing phenomena? The church is not victorious, not because of individual cultivation, but because of the church as a whole.

So today, let's go back to the Bible to examine. I will talk about the victorious church in two parts. Defeat is the key to many problems, and the problems it brings are very serious. From beginning to end, the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is all about victory. Then you might ask, aren’t there those who are saved even if they are not victorious? Actually, in your concept, salvation and victory may be two different things. But in my concept, salvation and victory are the same thing. I don't know what it is to be saved but not victorious, and I don't know how to define it, but I clearly see one thing in the Bible: Victory is God's will. So today, let's take a close look at the phenomena around us, and your confusion will be resolved immediately.

Let me give you an analogy: The Japanese devils were defeated; if there is a strongest soldier in this Japanese army, who has won the martial arts championship, I ask you, is he a victorious soldier or a defeated soldier? He is a defeated soldier. Because you are in a defeated army. The Emperor has surrendered, so let's count you below as well. If you are a victorious army and we drive the Japanese devils out, even if you are the weakest soldier in the Chinese army, or the weakest soldier in the Allied forces, you are a victorious soldier. Therefore, the victory of the collective is very important.

## Victory is salvation, no victory no salvation

If we read the Old Testament, we will see these Israelites, whom God brought out of Egypt with a mighty arm, but they could not enter the Promised Land and died in the wilderness. Why did they all fall in the wilderness? No victory. God had originally prepared them to enter the Promised Land, but they didn’t want to go in, they didn’t dare to fight, so they all fell in the wilderness, and most of them were people whom God was displeased with. Then you say, were they saved or not? As for Korah, the ground opened a hole and swallowed him alive, would you say he was saved or not? So someone asked me, Isn't it said that once saved, always saved? Yes, you left Egypt and went to the wilderness, you were saved, but later the ground swallowed you, would you say he was saved or not? So let's forget about not being victorious.

I divide Christians into three categories. The first category of Christians is: Israelites in Egypt, Christians who are bound and oppressed in Egypt, still in the world. The second category is Christians in the wilderness. Do you say there’s no supply? There is manna to eat, there is water, but most of them die in the wilderness. There is also a category of Christians: like Joshua and Caleb, who took knives and guns to enter the Promised Land, these are called victorious Christians. So today I testify to everyone, calling heaven and earth, to make everyone understand this truth, that is, to be a victorious Christian no matter what, to be a resounding Christian. If you don't have this concept, then I wish you good luck. I also wish you can go to heaven.

So the question arises: Why did God give Abraham that piece of land, but Moses and Joshua were still needed to fight with real swords and guns to take that place after four or five hundred years? It is because without fighting for victory, you cannot get the Promised Land. Where is our battle in the New Testament? Fighting for victory in the spiritual world will surely get the Promised Land. Therefore, in Jesus Christ, that is, in His victorious church, no matter how many promises God has, they are all yes and faithful in Jesus Christ. I once preached a sermon: Those who come to seek Jesus are all healed. Later, I simply omitted the front part and named it All are healed. Many people don't believe it and say, How can this be, all are healed? Some people even deliberately come to ask me, Teacher, have all the people you served been healed? I said, Alas! There is one who has not been healed. He said, Who is that person? I said, That's you.

We think, why do people ask this question? Because in this question, he actually wants to stump me. What good will you get from stumping me? If you stump me, will God's Word be overturned? Can you bring out Song Shangjie and overturn God's Word? No! Even if you bring out Song Shangjie, Ni Tuosheng, Wang Mingdao, John Calvin, John Wesley, and Martin Luther, can you overturn God's Word? Many people are so confused that they think they are the standard. God's Word in the Bible speaks clearly. We can't do it because we didn't do it right, that is, our theory is not right. We are still practicing it today, but the Bible clearly says All are healed, do you believe it?

Later, I tell you, truly all are healed! As long as a victorious church is established, demons will be completely trampled on in the presence of the victorious church. That is to say, in the victorious church, God will give us the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and the power of the underworld will be completely trampled on. Therefore, casting out demons, binding and releasing, healing the sick and casting out demons are all one term, all one meaning, binding and releasing or healing the sick and casting out demons, healing and deliverance and preaching the gospel are the most basic work of the church, not something high-end, and it has nothing to do with gifts or anointing.

Starting today, if you want to be a Christian, you must be a demon-casting Christian. In the early years when I was doing healing and deliverance, it was quite difficult to cast out demons at that time. As a result, some people looked through the window and ran away. Can you outrun ghosts? This thing is a spiritual thing. Where can you run? If you don’t run, the ghost won’t chase you, but if you run, the ghost will possess you.

## The church must train brothers and sisters to be mighty warriors who cast out demons

Binding and releasing are the basic work of the church. The church is a group of people after God's own heart, doing what Jesus Christ did. Is it reasonable to say that there is no gift of healing and deliverance? For example, if a shoe store hires you to sell shoes, but you don't sell shoes and sell biscuits instead, is that what the store owner asked you to do? No. Jesus established a church after God's own heart, let us bind and release. As a result, we wear gaudy pants and wave gaudy fans on the stage, jumping and singing. Can this be in accordance with God's will? We still think it's a very high-end thing. I am very confused by these phenomena.

Let me give you another example. There were about a hundred pastors gathering there, learning worship and praise. At that time, someone had a stomach ache, a stomach spasm. A stomach spasm is actually a very small demon. As a result, that person was sent to the hospital. I was thinking, what are hundreds of pastors doing there? A stomach spasm is a very small demon. Like my mother, with crooked eyes and mouth, rolling her eyes and spitting white foam, her whole body twitched. They called it a heart attack or a stroke. I came up and cast the demon out. Don't think I'm bragging, because many people were standing next to me. I thought, what is a stomach spasm? It's really a simple thing. Usually some people have stomachaches at night. Among them, there are some sisters who love the Lord very much. They call me and I pray with them and they get better in a while.

I said that the basic work of the church is binding and releasing. Do you think the church is doing charity? That's what they think. Once I went to a very far place, and the church leader there cried to me: Our church is not doing well financially, and we still have to make dumplings for these people. Some sisters said, Pastor, the dumplings you make are really bad. Can you make us seafood or fish dumplings? After he told me, I felt depressed in my heart: Is the church a place to make and eat dumplings? They looked at me, and I smiled. They asked me why I smiled. I said, If it were me, I wouldn't be making it for them, but they would be making it for me. It's a pity, because people are not doing their proper business. When did Jesus ask us to turn the church into a place to make and eat dumplings? If you can make five loaves and two fish and distribute them to feed these people, then you are good enough, at least a bit like Jesus. So these people feel very aggrieved after finishing it.

Once someone came to see me, and I picked him up. After I picked him up, I explained Chinese Mingding Doctrine to him. It was so useful, very useful. As a result, he said, Teacher, can you pray for my wife? I said, No problem. He said, His wife's ear hurts, and it has hurt for three to five months. I said, Then call her, it will be fine in a few minutes. He thinks I have this gift, I have this anointing. But he doesn't know how much effort I put in, I put in a lot of effort in the early days. In the early years, it was also very hard, and we didn't do less of making dumplings.

But later I knew to listen to what Jesus said: I will build my church on the rock, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you release on earth shall be released in heaven. Isn't this embarking on the road of healing and deliverance? Isn't this the healing and deliverance conference we are doing today? Not only are we doing healing and deliverance conferences, but at the end of the service, we will do it class by class, group by group, and everyone will personally practice it. I train the brothers and sisters among us, one by one, all to become people who heal the sick, cast out demons, and trample on the power of the underworld. If you also want to become such a person, you can stay if you want after I finish training; you can choose freely if you don't want to stay. I encourage you, this is not a gift, this is the basic work of a victorious church.

In the early years, the suffering we endured and the tears we shed were because the church was not like Jesus, because the church did not do those works. Later, we repented, repented seriously. So today, brothers and sisters, you must know that if you really work together with brothers and sisters according to God's Word, and the church is built on this rock, how can the power of the underworld prevail against you? How can you have hemorrhoids? Everyone should know that hemorrhoids are a curse. You still feel like you are serving God while having hemorrhoids: Look, I am still serving God even with hemorrhoids. What's there to brag about? In the Old Testament, those people got hemorrhoids after they took God's ark.

So brothers and sisters, today we need to ask carefully, what kind of Christians do we want to be? You say, Pastor, why are you so long-winded? I just came to get healing and deliverance. I want to tell you the hardcore truth. The person I just mentioned, I later prayed for his wife and her ear got better. It's such a small thing for a person to have an earache, stomachache, or stomach spasm while serving God. If you meet Jesus, Jesus will definitely heal him, this is the most basic work of the church. But if we put aside the most basic work of the church and do other things, how can he not feel wronged? Perhaps the grievances he suffered may have been caused by God, hoping that he can wake up.

Therefore, the foundation of healing and deliverance is a victorious church. If it is not a victorious church, you are doing healing and deliverance, and I am also doing healing and deliverance, how can it be done? I have seen many churches, and they also want to do what I do, but it is difficult to do. There are also very bizarre churches. How bizarre? Half of the people in their church believe in speaking in tongues in prayer, and half of the people oppose speaking in tongues in prayer, oppose being filled with the Holy Spirit, and oppose healing and deliverance. Later, I met the pastor of their church, and the pastor of their church came up with an idea. He divided their church into three parts, three preachers, you lead yours, he leads his. Is this called victory? This is called defeat. Later, that spirit of disunity continued to run rampant in the church, and the church had no power to fight back. It was not united! Everyone should know that this victorious church is not a motley crew. The victorious church is a well-trained army of God. As a result, this church was divided into three groups. Does dividing into three groups mean victory? No victory. A defeated church divided into three groups is still not victorious.

## Striving to be Treasures in God's Eyes, Diligently Entering the Kingdom of Heaven

How can we build a victorious church? It is built as I do: I build according to the words of Jesus Christ! You must know that building according to the words of Jesus is extremely good, unbelievably good! Once, I visited a very large church that had established branches in over forty countries. We went to learn and sat below, observing how they did things. A pastor on the stage tearfully recounted his grievances: he was sued by members of his church, which led to insomnia and depression. As I listened, I began to ponder – my heart is a bit hardened – I thought, Why is this happening? Why would such a thing occur? This pastor's work was terrifying! Building a church as a pastor, never let it turn out like this! Then I asked, God, what were You doing? And God's response to me was, Not victorious.

After careful analysis, I realized that this pastor focused on the number of people in the church; he wanted all kinds of people. As long as someone had a little bit of achievement, he would promote them to be a leader in the church. Isn't it obvious you're going to have trouble. Later, I examined the Bible, and Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is like a man casting a net; the good ones are selected into vessels, and the bad ones are discarded. For example, is it easy to get into a prestigious university? Are Peking and Tsinghua easy to get into? Beihang, Tongji, Zhejiang University... none of them are easy to get into. Why are they not easy to get into? Because the standards are high. Those who get in have some ability. Then I ask you, have Peking University and Tsinghua University failed? No. Later, I gradually raised the standards for the church. I don't want ordinary people; I don't pursue large numbers. I won't bring in all those smoky, dirty people; I don't want the bad ones. Many people haven't heard of building a church like me. Some pastors came to me and said, You can't do this; if you do this, the church will have no one. I said, do Tsinghua and Peking University have no one? They have people, how could they not have people!

I tell you, I specifically pick treasures. For example, someone came, and our junior pastor wasn't very good, often doing things that weren't quite right. As a result, he helped me a lot. Why? Because he was the sieve: he did things wrong, and those who discerned good and evil with him left the church. If they leave, let them leave. I'm quite grateful to this junior pastor, even if he doesn't do things perfectly, I can slowly correct him.

Brothers and sisters, you must know that if you are Joseph, even if you are sold to Egypt, you are still gold. Can you understand? If you are Jacob, even if your uncle changes your wages ten times, you are still Jacob, and it won't hinder God from blessing you. In the world, God wants to find treasures and gold; treasures and gold are people like Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. Brothers and sisters, don't think that after entering the church, you have to help God build the church. If you are not a treasure, I don't want you. I thought, God, from now on, I am determined to build a victorious church, so that every brother and sister in the church is a treasure in Your eyes, putting the good ones into vessels and discarding the bad ones.

Some people come to me and say, He caused me to stumble! I looked at him and replied, You've never stood up, so what did you fall from? I think, haven't you read the Bible carefully about stumbling? Most people haven't read as carefully as I have. For example, if your hand causes you to stumble, cut off your hand; if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck out your eye. What does that mean? You'll definitely be confused after hearing this. If you don't understand, you should come and ask me; I know how to answer.

Joseph, who caused him to stumble? If he didn't want to fall, who could cause him to stumble? When Jesus talked about stumbling, read that passage carefully: If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out; if your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. Actually, this means that we are determined not to let ourselves stumble; stumbling is our own choice. A group of stumbling people build a stumbling church; a group of strong, standing people build a strong, standing church. Who can cause us to stumble? Because God is our rock. Today we must stand on the rock of Jesus Christ, because our Jesus Christ is a Jesus Christ who causes people to stumble.

**Because of Jesus Christ, many fall, and many rise.
