Introduction
Good day to all. Today, we continue with Psalm 32. I will share a topic with you: "Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered." You know, in the Bible, curses and blessings are two eternal themes. Do not say that there are no curses in the New Testament; that is a foolish argument.
Because the New Testament clearly records curses. If a person believes in the wrong gospel or preaches the wrong gospel, he will be cursed. If a person does not love God, he will be cursed. Such a person is accursed. Read carefully, you can check, right? So, blessings and curses are a very eternal topic in the Bible.
Some people do not know what curses and blessings are all about, and they mix everything up. How does this work? If you carefully observe and follow God's words, you will be blessed; if you do not carefully observe and follow, you will be cursed. Then people get confused, "Teacher, I cannot carefully observe and follow." "Ah, you cannot carefully observe and follow." "Oh, then I am very afraid." You should be afraid. If you do not carefully observe and follow all day long, shouldn't you be afraid?
So, this discussion of Psalm 32 is about "whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered." We humans have a characteristic: we inexplicably think we are not bad. Why? Because if we feel we are not good, we lose our sense of existence, and we cannot survive. People think they are not bad, and this becomes their hope and courage to live on. Isn't this a tragedy? But once people think they are not bad, it is dangerous.
Do you know that you are inherently a sinner? You are inherently a sinner, but because of faith in Jesus Christ, God does not consider us sinners. In reality, we are still sinners. This book of the law must not depart from your mouth; you must meditate on it day and night, so that you may be prosperous in everything you do. But after being prosperous for a long time, you forget that you are a sinner. Don't you find it strange?
I think I am quite good, arguing with pastors, arguing with spiritual leaders. Oh my goodness, I think I am particularly good, and I insist on right and wrong. What is that if not heinous? Actually, I tell you, when we forget that we are sinners, and God merely says we are righteous, when we forget this, the devil comes. Then things happen, and we are not prosperous.
Who has the most experience with this? I have the most experience with this. Besides me, there is David, the King David in the Bible. And you, you must always observe, learn, and summarize, and you will come to the conclusion, with clear understanding, that you are a sinner. Knowing that what you receive is grace, and not being qualified to think you are not bad, that is the key.
Now let's talk about David, who wrote Psalm 1. How did he write it? "But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night." This is King David who wrote this psalm. Then later, he wrote Psalm 32. How did this happen?
For a period of time, life was comfortable, and he did not have to go to the front lines to fight. The days were peaceful, and he did not have to personally take up a knife and gun to fight on the battlefield. Then the economy was developed, and the people's livelihood was greatly improved. He felt that his political achievements were very rich. Holding large and small meetings, and with the flattery of the people below, plus feeling good about himself, he thanked the Lord for still delighting in the law of the Lord. Then, meditating on it day and night, he felt sweet in his heart. Below, there were also praises, and he felt good about himself.
Then what did they do? A lot of people around him were flattering him. It was so comfortable. Then they organized a guitarist to say, "David, pick up the microphone and sing Psalm 1." They even set it to music for him. Singing and singing, "Oh, this psalm I wrote is really good," feeling that he wrote it really well. As a result, what happened? The devil came. Feeling very glorious, even giving himself the name David's Glory, Glorious David, as a result, the devil came.
The night before yesterday, David drank a little wine, and as a result, he summoned several close ministers to get some skewers. One cup after another, they finished off a case of Moutai, then took three cases of beer, and then had several rounds of barbecue. Talking about his great achievements, enjoying the beautiful future, drinking until he was drunk. I am talking about the origin of Psalm 32.
Drinking until morning, and in between, singing several songs written by David. Wow, how happy. Life can be like this, all thanks to God's grace. As a result, he slept until the afternoon. After waking up, he was dazed. Where was the sun? Yesterday morning, when he got up, it rose from the east. Hey, how am I seeing the sun from the west? Actually, the sun was about to set. What to do? Still wondering. Oh, sleepy-eyed.
Then, wearing a robe, he stood on the highest terrace in the city of Jerusalem. At that time, the highest terrace was probably a two-story terrace. Looking out, would you believe it? A young woman, Bathsheba, was near David's house, bathing in the courtyard. Oh, I tell you, the angle was simply too perfect. The young woman was bathing there, and David saw it. Can you imagine? Oh my goodness! The bathing movements, where was the law of the Lord? Gone, only the body's reaction. The Moutai he drank yesterday was quite potent, and as a result, the body began to react. He brought her over, he really brought her over.
Why was Bathsheba bathing there? Oh, I tell you. Bathsheba, this woman, her husband was fighting on the front lines. If you say she wasn't horny, that's a lie, right? She was hoping that David would stand on that terrace. Oh, when will he see me bathing here? Would you believe it? It was such a coincidence. As a result, David's mind was full of the image of Bathsheba bathing. If this were now, the matter of peeping at someone bathing would definitely be trending. As a result, he brought her over. Would you believe it? She got pregnant. She got pregnant just like that. What to do? Come on, let's all give him an idea, what should he do?
David, at this time, did he still have the law of the Lord God? Could that thing solve the problem? Right? Could that thing solve the matter of her being pregnant? She was pregnant, what to do? As a result, what happened? He invited her husband back from the front lines. He thought that her husband would go into the house and have something happen with her. Hey, the child born would be thanks to the Lord, Uriah, you have a child. He planned it out quite well.
As a result, Uriah did not go home, but sat at the door of David's house, sleeping there. Oh, David was very worried, what to do? David helplessly said, "Oh, Uriah, you are very loyal, you have given up everything for the country and the people." As a result, he sent Uriah back to the front lines, and wrote a letter to Uriah's general, so that Uriah could die in battle. Oh, isn't this a trick? Behind this, there are devils directing it.
When David was writing Psalm 1, he was thinking, "But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night." Was there still blessing? No blessing. Only thinking about the bastard in Bathsheba's belly, thinking about how to deal with this shameful matter, where was there joy? Oh, this worry, and he couldn't tell others. The subjects were all wondering what happened to David. Oh, David is worried for the country and the people. David, why aren't you joyful? Hey, don't ask, don't ask, go down, go down, go down. Meditating day and night on the trick to get rid of Uriah.
The feeling was very painful. You think, Uriah was killed, Bathsheba gave birth to the child, and until the child died, during this entire period, David was extremely painful, he had never lived through such a painful time. Then you say confess your sins, where would he put his face? If he didn't confess, it was just so uncomfortable.
David was a smart man. Where was he smart? Thinking it over, I cannot be messed up by the devil like this, I still need my God, I still need my God's salvation. God, I want to confess my sins before you. Not only confess my sins before you, but I will also write Psalm 32. I will reveal this shameful matter for everyone to see. "Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered."
Do you know what it means to be blessed? Do you think having money is called being blessed? No, a person's heart is clear. A person's heart is happy, not happy from drinking a little wine, but happy from doing nothing. Oh, regaining the joy of salvation, that person is blessed.
So, Psalm 32 is about David experiencing a very painful period, and finally realizing the truth. I tell you, a person meditating day and night, only delighting in the law of the Lord, meditating day and night, cannot resist being self-righteous. Once a person feels that they are not bad, they are ruined. So today, everyone must be careful, never feel that you are not bad.
Feeling that you love God very much, feeling that you are a righteous person, feeling that you have been crucified with Jesus, feeling that it is no longer I who live, but Jesus Christ who lives in me. Of course, you can have this kind of situation, but you cannot feel that you are not bad, understand? Sometimes it is true, sometimes it is really not true, you must know that it is all because of the Lord Jesus.
So, the Apostle Paul has a passage that is very puzzling. Believing in the Lord, he said that he was a sinner. Believing and serving, he felt that he was a sinner. Walking and walking, he became a great sinner. Waiting and waiting, he became the worst of sinners. What kind of logic is this? I tell you, the closer a person is to God, the more they feel filthy, the more they feel dirty. The farther a person is from God, the more they feel that they are not bad, that is how it is.
Everyone often brings up Job. Later, I understood it. Job at that time felt very good about himself. He always felt that I was a righteous person, in the land of Uz, there was a righteous person, that was me, Job. He always enjoyed that feeling of full existence, feeling very good about himself. As a result, Satan saw it, hey? You really think you are not bad, and then he ran to God to complain. God said, "Just what I wanted, you go mess with him."
Although you feel that you are not bad, how do you know? You read the Book of Job, don't read it out of context. If you understand the Book of Job, you will know that Job felt that he was not bad. He should have suffered long ago. As a result, what happened? Job argued with God. Arguing with God, he said a lot of nonsense, feeling that he was very reasonable. As a result, God asked him a few questions, and he was stumped. Looking at his dialogue, do you feel that Job felt that he was not bad? Later, Job repented before God. Examine carefully why, because he felt that he was not bad, this is very deadly.
I used to know some people, people I served, I knew. They all got cancer, and they still felt that they were not bad. Later, they died miserably. So among us, if you get cancer and want to be healed, it's simple. It's not up to me, it's up to you. Confess your sins and repent, don't feel that you are not bad anymore. I have served many cancer patients who later died, all of whom felt that they were not bad. The cancer patients were already dying, and they still felt that they were good people. Then the devil came and messed with you to death. If you say that you are a sinner, the effect might be quite good.
Was Job a righteous person? He was not a righteous person. God merely considered him a righteous person. Was David a righteous person? No, God considered him a righteous person. Are you and I righteous people? No. God considers us righteous people.
A preacher who has believed in the Lord for many years and serves in the church is perplexed. To what extent? It is about Deuteronomy 28, because our "101 Course" is about blessings and curses. She said: Deuteronomy 28 speaks of blessings and curses. If people disobey God's words, they will be cursed. I often disobey, so won't I be cursed? What did Jesus Christ do? What did He accomplish on the cross? Alas, this is perplexing.
Don't you find this kind of perplexity perplexing? She is perplexed by this, and I am perplexed by what she is perplexed by. In fact, she is a sinner, and she has already suffered many curses, hasn't she? Yet, she still has this kind of perplexity. Alas, isn't this very fearful? Jesus came to untie this knot. Why? Because all people are sinners, so demons can rule over people. When demons rule over people, what happens? People suffer many curses.
Later, because we believe in Jesus Christ, even though we are still sinners and cannot keep Deuteronomy 28 perfectly, God no longer counts us as sinners. God counts us as righteous. Where did the sin go? It went onto Jesus. Then the demons become illegal. Jesus untied this knot.
See, if you are a sinner, the demons can legally mess with you. What to do? If the demons mess with you, you will commit more sins. If you commit more sins, the demons will mess with you even more. Isn't that how life goes? Now Jesus has untied this knot. It is not because you are good enough that God wants to save you. After saving you, you receive this grace, enabling us to keep and follow God's words. It is not that you are able to keep and follow, but that God enables us to keep and follow.
The salvation accomplished by Jesus Christ is definitely not giving you a reason not to follow. It gives you the ability to transcend life. I have spoken so much about Deuteronomy 28 to let everyone know that they have not yet been crucified with Christ. Even if you are crucified with Christ, you must know that you are still a sinner and need to strive to enter into perfection. Don't be like a mule or horse that needs a bit and bridle to be tamed. I must tell you that in this world, the wicked will suffer many torments.
You say, teacher, I am suffering. You are wicked. Teacher, I am suffering greatly. You are very wicked. Isn't it so? If we studied God's word with the same enthusiasm we have for playing games and reading novels, would we be perplexed? Isn't it so? We wouldn't be perplexed. When people read novels and play games, their enthusiasm surges. I tell you, once people feel they are good, it's over. They become wicked. Why? Because your transgressions have not been forgiven, and your sins have not been covered. How can you become a blessed person?
Scripture
Let's now read Psalm 32. Open your Bible.
**Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord. Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! (Psalm 32:1-11)**
Prayer
God, today open our minds and let us see how filthy and defiled we are. Let us also know what great grace you have upon us. Let this grace receive glorious praise in us. God, today let us have the courage to confess and repent before you.
May the precious blood of the Lord Jesus cover our transgressions and our sins, making us righteous in your eyes. God, soften our hearts and let us regain salvation and joy in your presence. God! I will overcome the powers of darkness through you and live out the glorious image you created me to be through you. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Scripture Background
Alas, I have already spoken a lot about the background of this passage. You know, David felt great when he committed the sin. Was he happy? He was happy, wasn't he? Extremely happy. But the subsequent suffering was ten times more painful than the happiness. So he was suffering. After he did this, the demons缠得死死的 clung to him tightly. He followed the demons' ideas step by step, becoming more and more miserable, and the suffering deepened.
Many people think about making money, making money, becoming bigger and stronger, and then jumping off a building. The end is either jail or jumping off a building. Someone sent me a video that tallied the number of private entrepreneurs who jumped off buildings in the recent period. Private entrepreneurs make money, and among them are brands we all know. The boss jumped off the building. Why? The reason is simple: making money, making money, what will it become? It will become suffering. Why? As you make money, you become wicked.
Li Ao had a good saying. He said that successful people are not good people, and good people cannot be successful. How can good people be successful? If you are not bad from a young age, can you go up? You have to be bad to go up. So what did he say? He said that behind success is not vicissitude, but evil and corruption.
So I want brothers and sisters to understand this logic. People live in this world and then jump off a building. What's going on? Let's not rub salt in the wound, but we must understand what's going on in our hearts. Like David, after doing these evil things, he felt uncomfortable. Thank God he didn't jump off the building. He thought about it, but the buildings weren't high at that time. Jumping down would only break his leg and he couldn't do anything else. His house only had two floors.
So what happened? David was smart. He confessed and repented. Alas, he regained joy. Why? Originally, we were sinners. Now there is one more sin. It doesn't matter if we confess one more sin. Don't look at the problem with human eyes. In fact, you and I have committed a capital crime. Not only David deserved to die, but you and I also deserve to die.
But what is blessed? Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Why is that blessed? Because we confessed our sins, so the sins were forgiven. They were acknowledged, so they were covered and blotted out. This is very straightforward. It's that simple. You need to have a bit of uprightness in your heart. Don't think in circles. One moment like this, another moment like that. Teacher, I am perplexed. I am perplexed. This is very simple. No need to be perplexed.
In fact, I tell you, after David experienced this, he wrote Psalm 32. This experience was very important to David. Because the kind of discomfort in his heart is not the kind of discomfort you and I can imagine. It is the demons making people particularly uncomfortable. When demons live in people, people are particularly uncomfortable. If people do not confess and repent, the demons will definitely live in them. Because our transgressions have not been forgiven and our sins have not been covered, the demons legally mess with us.
Job suffered those sins. Was it the demons messing with him? Yes. How did he get better later? Job repented and got better. If you don't repent, how can you get better? So brothers and sisters, take away that little bit of self-esteem. That little bit of self-esteem is useless. Then, I tell you, David wrote this Psalm, which became a model for us to follow.
Blessed People Have Soft Hearts
Blessed people have soft hearts. If you observe carefully, there is a phenomenon in this world that I have studied for a long time. That is, rigid people suffer more torments. They are self-righteous and suffer more torments because they are convinced of what they believe. The degree of a person's suffering in life is closely related to their lack of softness and rigidity. David said: Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you. How well said! In fact, it is not difficult to have one's transgression forgiven and one's sin covered. As long as you admit your wrong before God.
So in the past few years of ministry, I have found it particularly difficult to make people realize they are wrong. Sometimes I make people feel that they have not done right, and give a slight reminder, but that doesn't work. They come up and want to argue with me and fight with me. People are like that. Don't you think such people will suffer more? A soft heart is a great attribute. Don't be convinced of what you believe. If you are convinced of what you believe, you will be ruined. If you have a soft heart and often think you have not done right, you will suffer less.
There is a TV series starring Andy Lau called "Jiang Hu." Have you seen it? It is a Hong Kong drama acted in Cantonese. I haven't seen it. I almost never watch movies. How do I know about it? A minister in Singapore quoted a line from Andy Lau during a meeting. Andy Lau's line is: Telling you, you don't listen. Listening to you, you don't understand. Understanding, you don't do. Doing, you do wrong. Doing wrong, you don't admit it. Admitting it, you don't change it. Changing it, you are not convinced. What do you want me to do? He speaks Cantonese better and with more flavor, but my translation is not bad either.
Isn't this rigidity? It's like kicking it to make it move. In fact, I tell you, rigid people suffer more. Some people think stubbornness is a good character. I tell you, this kind of character is useless except for suffering more. People are stubborn, but can you be more stubborn than God? I tell you, blessed people have soft hearts. Having a soft heart is not the same as having no character. Having a soft heart is a very good character.
I used to have a boss who told me that when looking for a girlfriend or wife, you should look for someone with a soft heart. Don't look for someone with a rigid heart. People with rigid hearts not only suffer more, but their families also suffer more. If some of you sisters are desperately looking for a wife for your son, please screen them carefully. May your family not suffer more.
So the matter of having one's transgression forgiven and one's sin covered starts with being able to listen. If you can listen, you can understand. If you understand, you can do it. If you do it, you won't do wrong. If you do wrong, you quickly admit it. After admitting it, you quickly change it. Then don't be unconvinced in your heart, like a stubborn donkey. That's very tiring. This is a blessed person.
Don't be like a mule or horse that needs to wear a bit and be pulled. Anyway, if you have to bite an iron ring in your mouth, it can't be easy. It's actually very tiring, but you have to wear it. This is what David said, not what I said.
Blessed People Pray to God When He Can Be Found
Blessed people pray to God when He can be found. Let me read it to you.
This blessed man has a soft heart, feels the pain, and endures hardship. While we have not yet been submerged by the great flood, while God can still hear our prayers, and while we are still qualified to pray, let us hasten to pray to God. Confess our sins before Him, for persistence is futile.
What is this about? It is about Noah's Ark. Noah herded tigers, wolves, lions, elephants, and all sorts of creatures, leading them into the ark in pairs. The line was incredibly long. Back then, technology was quite advanced, and they started live streaming. The whole world knew about Noah entering the ark. "Hey, what's going on, Noah? What are you doing?" "Oh, the great flood is coming, and we are entering the ark." The great flood is coming? Everyone looked at the drought and wondered what flood could come. As a result, no one took it seriously.
After Noah entered the ark, the great flood was still seven days away. Those people were hard-hearted, not soft. God closed the door of the ark. Those people were still laughing, wondering where the flood was. Those on the ground had only seven days left to live. Noah was in the ark, cooking and eating. Still no flood? If Noah's family were foolish, they might think there was no flood and want to go out for a stroll, to the supermarket to buy something, or to open the door for a food delivery.
But they couldn't do that. Once the door was closed, there was no going out, and no one could enter. After seven days, the great flood came. It was useless for those outside; they could only drown. When the flood came, and you thought of praying to God, "God, save me!" it was too late.
So, what is a blessed person? Before being submerged by the great flood, while there is still an opportunity to seek God, pray quickly. Later, I discovered that many people only think of praying when they can no longer seek. Only then do they think of confessing and repenting, but it is too late, truly too late. I am not trying to scare you, because I have ministered to many such hard-hearted people. I truly hope that everyone can suffer less. Do not be hard-hearted, insisting until the door is closed, for then where will you go? You might say, "God, open the door for me." God might say, "I do not know you." Then it is over.
The Blessed are Hidden in God
Psalm 32:7 says, "You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance." This is crucial. When a person is in God, the devil cannot come near. But if outside of God, the devil will attack you relentlessly. Why do people stay outside of God? People should stay in God, for God is our hiding place.
After David committed his sin and repented, he hid himself in God, and the devil could not touch him. Sometimes, this is not easy to understand. But David wrote it quite plainly, without the need for deep interpretation.
Give yourself to God, and do not devise your own schemes. Although David successfully killed Uriah and took Bathsheba into his palace, the pain in David's heart was difficult to resolve. How painful was it? "When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer."
When you are not in God, God's hand weighs heavily on you. Do you think it is God's hand? God sends a few demons to press down on you severely. The inner pain is not something that can be resolved by eating something. Those who have experienced depression know that the pain is beyond ordinary comprehension. This is why many people jump off buildings; they must be in extreme pain to take that step.
What difficulties do great entrepreneurs face? They face worldly difficulties. When business is good, they cannot find good employees. When they find good employees, business is bad. It is so exhausting. They cannot repay bank loans and must pay salaries. It is so exhausting. Can you imagine their pain? There may be many reasons. For example, they might worry about the brothers they have led, wondering who will take care of them.
It is better for people to hide in God. Do not try to bear these things yourself. You cannot bear the weight of the world; the pressure is unbearable. I suspect that those who rely on themselves are crushed by God's heavy hand, leading them to jump off buildings.
But David was clever. He had a soft heart. He prayed and sought God while he could, and he repented while he could. He hid himself in God, for it is not fun outside. If you ask me, I will tell you that there is a good place in this world: in Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ, the devil cannot touch you. How do we hide inside? By confessing and repenting.
Do not learn that line: "You do not listen when told, you do not understand when you hear, you do not act when you understand, you do wrong when you act, you do not admit when you are wrong, you do not change when you admit, and you are not convinced when you change." Then you ask, "What do you want me to do?" What can be done for you? You will still be pressed down by God's hand. The most blessed are those who hide in God and do not come out. What will you do when you come out? I do not know what to do, but it is terrible outside.
The Blessed Suffer Less
The Bible says that David concluded something interesting: the wicked suffer many griefs, but the blessed suffer less. There is also this: "You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble." Anything that causes hardship is bad, especially illness. You may not have experienced walking through the gates of hell. If you get sick, your body is no longer under your control, and it is very difficult. I have never thought of illness as a good thing.
Such troubles and griefs are not good things. God is our hiding place and will protect us from trouble. The wicked suffer many griefs, but those in God suffer less trouble and grief, while those outside of God suffer more. People suffer greatly and still think they are blessed. They should realize they have not done things right.
Some pastors do not dare to say that illness is suffering. They say, "Illness is not really suffering." Why? Because you have to save face for some people. They are working hard and get sick, and they are pastors. It is very difficult. If you rub salt into their wounds, they cannot bear it.
But for us, we hope to admit our mistakes more often. If you admit your mistakes more often, you become blessed. "Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered." Is it so difficult to admit that I have made mistakes? Is face so important? My skin is thick, and I do not rely on it to live, so if I do something wrong, I admit it. If I have not done it right, then I will correct it.
So, brothers and sisters, if you want to be blessed, you must have a soft heart. You must seek God while He can be found and confess that you are a sinner before Him. The blessed must hide in God and not easily wander out. Then I tell you, you will suffer less.
I think about how I have suffered less in my life. If I did not know God, how much would I have suffered? I am blessed. I am truly blessed. My mother liked to have fortune tellers read our fortunes. No matter which fortune teller she found, they all said that I was blessed. Perhaps my name should be Liu Youfu (Liu Blessed). My heart is not hard, and I have suffered less. Brothers and sisters can also suffer less.
This is my dream, to not have brothers and sisters suffer too much. It is meaningless to suffer so much. The blessed suffer less. If Job had been humble earlier and not self-righteous, Satan would not have chosen him, would he? He would not have had to suffer so much for no reason. We should always feel blessed and favored, and we will not be so painful or need to jump off buildings.
The Blessed, God Will Show Us the Way to Go
For the blessed, God will show us the way to go. "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." God's eyes do not leave us. When He sees us making mistakes, He says, "This is wrong; this will not do." But when people are hard-hearted, it is bad. You say, "You are wrong; get out of here." So, we are often left speechless. But how often do we reject our God?
Did God reveal things to David? Yes. But David forgot himself. God said to be careful, especially with what you look at. But he had to look, and he forgot God's warning, didn't he? So, God wants to teach us and show us the way to go. Every time we go to a place, God will tell us the way to go.
I can tell you frankly that God has reminded me and told me the way to go many times. Each time, it was crucial. For example, the idea of earning money to support the church. I had that idea. But God said that was not the way. He does not need us to support Him. He does not need us to work hard to earn money to support the church. So, we changed.
Sometimes, we had to pray to cast out demons, and we almost fell into a pit. That was not the way, at least not in the long term. We cannot always go that way. If we keep praying to cast out demons without improving our understanding, it will eventually fail. So, we quickly changed. God showed us the way to go. Recently, we have been walking step by step, and today God has shown us the way to go again. Thank God.
We blessed people have soft hearts and do not need a bridle like mules to obey. We listen to God's word, seek God's truth, and constantly climb the peaks of spiritual truth. God's eyes do not leave us; He fixes His gaze on us and advises us. How blessed is that? I feel that I am truly a blessed person, often feeling that I have not done things right and often confessing and repenting before God. It is so good!
Do you want to be a blessed person? You want to be a blessed person, but suddenly you are tempted by lust and commit sin. Perhaps your lust and David's lust are not the same, but the resulting life is the same. So, even if you fall into the pit of lust today, thank God.
Do not worry about losing face today. God is still the God who saves us. In the past, we were sinners, and today we have committed another sin. God can still save us, as long as we have a soft heart. "Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered." Be a blessed person and do not let the things of this world lead you to a terrible end. May God make us blessed people. May God bless you all. Amen!
