An earthquake or a tsunami might claim the lives of hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands. People's grief in the face of these disasters is often temporary. In time, they return to eating and drinking as before. However, the world will eventually come to an end. Have you ever imagined the last days, the arrival of the great tribulation?
Tick-tock, tick-tock, the clock keeps turning, as the song goes. Another half of the year has passed. At this moment, you might be happily chatting with your family, gathering with friends, worrying about which university your child will attend, or working tirelessly to earn money for a house or a car. But what we cannot escape is that we will eventually face the last days. Great tribulations can descend at any time, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, when everything turned to ashes.
Many people do not understand why God judges the world and brings so many disasters. In reality, it is because this world is full of wickedness. Do you yearn to be saved? If you are a Christian, you must be an overcoming Christian, because God protects those who overcome. To avoid the tribulations of the last days, you must be filled with the Holy Spirit, overcome in the spirit, build an overcoming and glorious church, and trample the devil and enemies under your feet. Do not be deceived by the pleasures of this world.
And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel.” God clearly tells us in this chapter that to escape the tribulations of the last days, we must begin to be alert, pray, receive the pure and victorious gospel, and choose to be a person of faith. No matter what, we must squeeze into the 144,000 who are sealed, and receive the fountain of God's living water.
Be Alert to the Coming Disaster
Today, let's look at Revelation chapter 7. Last week, we talked about chapter 6, which gave us a very clear view of the essence of human history. The essence of human history is that it has a beginning and an end. Do not think that human history will just go on like this. Even the people of the world know that this world will eventually come to an end.
One sister said to me, This world is so good, why does God want to destroy it? In fact, this world is full of all kinds of evil things, but in her eyes, it seems pretty good. But if we look at it carefully with God's eyes, it is actually unjust and unrighteous. Today, as long as we go around and take a look, we will know that there are many unjust things in this world!
Stories about the end of the world are basically very appealing. Before 2012, there was a movie called 2012, which depicted the scene of the end of the world in 2012. When the movie came out, we saw a very cruel situation. Today, if we recall the Southeast Asian tsunami, people were playing on the beach when a tsunami came quickly and they were gone in an instant. This event was very shocking, and I still cannot forget it to this day.
The 311 Japan tsunami also caused deaths. The end of the world is much more tragic than this. Did people learn a lesson from seeing these things? They did not learn a lesson and continued to play and eat as before. Recently, there was an earthquake in Hualien, Taiwan (a place known for tourism), and a family of five from mainland China died in the ruins of the Hualien earthquake. We can imagine that a family went on a happy trip to play, but they never came back. This world is so cruel, very cruel.
We have several books in China, although they are all novels, but the names are very good, called Words to Awaken the World (醒世恒言) and Words to Warn the World (警世通言), but people are not awakened. Even though the Bible constantly tells us not to love the world and not to gratify the flesh, it seems that many people still do not care.
The Bible actually told us long ago that in the days of Jesus, Jesus told us that the days of God's coming were a bit like Sodom, a bit like the days of Noah (see Matthew 24:32-39). At that time, people were marrying and giving in marriage, eating and drinking, but Noah was preaching, The end of the world is coming, and God is going to destroy this world. People did not take Noah's gospel seriously at all. Seeing Noah building an ark on the mountain, they thought Noah was a madman.
In the days of Sodom, the angels told Lot to notify his family, but not many people listened. Later, the angels took him and his two daughters and his wife out of the city of Sodom, and then God's fire suddenly came upon Sodom. The days of Noah were the same when the flood came. Today, everyone must know that the coming of the end of the world is also like this.
If you are a Christian, I will give you two words: Be alert. Being both alert and awake is called Words to Awaken the World and Words to Warn the World. What should we be alert to? So that you can escape the coming disaster. We know that this chapter 7 is actually telling us to escape the coming disaster, which is going to be a great disaster. So brothers and sisters, today after reading Revelation chapter 7, I hope you can be both alert and awake. This is the first point I am making.
The Scene of the End of the World
The second point I want to look at is, what exactly is the scene of the end of the world like? What kind of situation will we see in that generation when the end of the world comes? Let's look at Matthew chapter 24:
“As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. ‘Tell us,’ they said, ‘when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?’ Jesus answered: ‘Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. (Matthew 24:3-8)
In fact, the Bible has always paid attention to revelation. God wants to tell us the signs of the end of the world one by one. Today, if we look closely, famines, earthquakes, nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, doesn't this just describe our current situation? These situations of ours today are really the same as what Jesus said, and they have never been so obvious in all generations as they are today.
“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:9-14)
In this passage, we will see that in that generation, many will fall away from the faith and will betray and hate each other. John Bevere wrote a book called The Bait of Satan, which means that we brothers and sisters today must be careful not to be deceived. I was still discussing this matter with a brother today. In fact, how can people be controlled? They are all deceived. People are deceived and cheated, and then they follow the devil, which is all the result of their own choices.
It is only because there are many such things, and the increase of lawlessness, that people's love grows cold. But no matter what, this gospel will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Today, can I say that there is no place where the gospel has not been heard? Basically, there is no place where the gospel cannot be heard.
“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.
“If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time. So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.
“For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. Immediately after the distress of those days ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.” (Matthew 24:15-31)
Later, what does the entire Matthew chapter 24 say?
“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. (Matthew 24:36-39)
The great tribulation scene described at the end of the world is quite terrifying. When we read Revelation chapter 8, you will see that it is a very cruel war. The angel blows the first trumpet, the second trumpet, the third trumpet, the fourth trumpet, the fifth trumpet, and the sixth trumpet. When those trumpets are blown, you will find that it is simply a great war. The scene of the end of the world is clearly seen in Revelation. Today, how should we respond to God's word? How to escape the coming disaster is the key to this chapter.
Before we talk about escaping the coming disaster, I want to talk to you about why God is sending these disasters into this world. We can see from the Bible that Sodom was destroyed by God's disaster, and Noah's generation was destroyed by God's disaster. We can see that these great disasters all came from God. That is God's judgment on this sinful world.
Why does God judge this world? Because the world is full of wickedness. You will find that before the disaster comes, people of that generation are eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage. Then you say, what is wrong with people eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage? In fact, it is not that there is anything wrong, but it is a serious problem, because people are just living to live, but this is not God's will.
God Wants to Save His People
We see that God is going to destroy this world, just like earthquakes and natural disasters everywhere. God has already told us that He is going to use these disasters to destroy this generation, but God will not bring these disasters to His people.
We clearly see that when Sodom was destroyed, God led Lot out. Although he would suffer because of it, he eventually came out of destruction. Similarly, in the generation when the flood flooded, Noah was not harmed, and God prepared an ark to save Noah's family.
Later, God had Elijah prophesy that it would not rain in a certain place for many years. Although Elijah was in that environment, God had prepared, and Elijah was not hungry or thirsty. Similarly, we will be affected at the end of the world, but God will save us from the great tribulation. And we need to know that the great tribulation is World War III. God will command the angels who send the disaster to wait until God has sealed His servants.
“After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.” (Revelation 7:1)
These four angels belong to God's angels, and He is in charge of the wind on the earth.
“Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: ‘Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.’” (Revelation 7:2-3)
Today, we must know how God saves His people, that is, by putting a seal on their foreheads. Ephesians says that God seals His disciples, and the seal is related to the Holy Spirit. We clearly see that the seal is related to being filled with the Holy Spirit, and being filled with the Holy Spirit is related to praying in tongues.
Today, let's make a bold guess: God baptizes us with the Holy Spirit, seals us with the Holy Spirit, pours out on us, and then we get to pray in tongues. The effect of praying in tongues is that we will not be harmed if we drink any poison! We must pray in tongues a lot in the present situation. Praying in tongues a lot will bring an effect, that is, we will not be harmed if we drink any poison.
When we get to Revelation chapter 8, World War begins, just like a nuclear war, and will we be harmed by these nuclear weapons? If we often pray in tongues, these things cannot harm us. Because those who have the seal of God on their foreheads will not be harmed.
“And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions over the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them, but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. In those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.” (Revelation 9:3-6)
“Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.” (Revelation 14:1)
Here are also 144,000 people!
God Will Protect the Overcomers
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.” He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ (Revelation 3:7-13)
Revelation 3:7-13 speaks of the church in Philadelphia, a victorious church. Victory comes from much prayer. To escape future disasters, the most important point is to pray in the Holy Spirit, to be victorious in the spirit, so that Satan will bow down before us, and we will build a glorious church of God. Building a victorious church filled with God's glory is key.
There is a popular term in this era: intercession. We do not have intercession in our church, because each of us is a person of prayer. This is a praying church. God protects us and spares us from trials. When the whole world is tested, we will be spared from these disasters.
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 7:9-12)
Hold Firm to the Gospel of God's Salvation as Truth
These people dressed in white are those who have come out of the great tribulation! God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. I think this group of people should come from the great tribulation. What are their characteristics? First, they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. How do you wash your robes and make them white in the blood of the Lamb? The most important thing is salvation, and the foundation of salvation is faith.
Preaching the way of faith is the powerful gospel conveyed by Paul in Galatians. God is restoring His powerful gospel and the truth of His salvation in this generation. In this generation we live in, there is much about the truth of salvation that needs to be returned to the Bible, because you cannot be satisfied with someone else's explanation.
Recently, while ministering to someone, he said that he went to church to listen, but he did not understand what they were talking about. His cousin, who is among us, sent him our messages, and he contacted me. I explained salvation to him, and he said, This explanation is easy to understand and easy to hear. So, what is the salvation we are talking about?
All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” (Revelation 7:11-12)
The gospel is inherently full of praise, honor, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, and power, so Paul said:
And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)
This gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. If a powerful gospel is turned into a powerless gospel, it is a very serious problem. Why would a powerful gospel be turned into a powerless gospel? Because they are not built on the foundation of faith. Just as Jesus said, And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. (Mark 16:17-18)
Receive God's Word by Faith
Today is an era of gospel restoration. Before the great tribulation comes in these last days, we must restore a pure gospel. The pure gospel is described very clearly in Galatians, which is the gospel that Paul conveyed. Perhaps our brothers and sisters do not have the energy to examine Paul's letters one by one, but I often quote these scriptures to tell you that 1 Corinthians, which I just quoted, is an example.
In other words, if a person conveys a gospel that is different from the gospel that Paul preached, he should be accursed. We must not say that being accursed is a trial given to him by God. In fact, many people are cursed because they believe in the wrong gospel. They do not dissect God's word according to faith, but according to morality. It is often the case, so a person who is cursed will have a cursed reaction.
For example, some people now have cancer, and some people say that this is a trial given by God. The Bible does not say that giving a person cancer is a trial. There is no glory in that kind of trial, because cancer itself is a manifestation of a curse. Once we believe in the wrong gospel, we will bring many problems. Today, faith must be the foundation, the foundation of salvation is faith.
Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. (Isaiah 2:2)
The synonym for unbelief is discerning good and evil. If we discern good and evil, we are not in faith, we are not climbing on the mountain of the Lord, so we will be beaten miserably by the devil. When we begin to see the restoration of God's way, and then see the precious blood of Jesus Christ cleanse our transgressions. The blood of the Lamb washes our robes white, this is salvation to our God on the throne and to the Lamb, this is called salvation.
Today, our brothers and sisters must walk the road ahead with faith. When we walk the road ahead with faith, you will see that the Lamb on the throne will shepherd them and lead them to the springs of living water. Shepherding is a very important thing in the church. Today, our God is the Lamb on the throne. We must shepherd God's sheep through the church and obtain the springs of living water through God's word. The springs of living water are the word of God.
For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Revelation 7:17)
Our brothers and sisters must return to the pure gospel, and you will receive the springs of living water, and you will see that the Lamb on the throne will shepherd them, and then They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat (Revelation 7:16). If the sun and heat will no longer harm them, then those who come out of the great tribulation will also be unharmed.
Today, as we read Revelation chapter 7, we want to escape the coming disasters. Jesus warns us that the disasters that are about to come are so heavy that you must be alert and pray to escape the disasters that are about to come. Therefore, we must begin to receive a victorious gospel, to receive a gospel with Mingding Destiny, this is what Revelation chapter 7 tells us.
God's destruction of this world is not to destroy us. God's sending disasters to this world is not to send disasters to us. God wants to save us from these disasters. Therefore, when we read the Bible, we must know that we will experience the Third World War. At the end of the Third World War, two preachers will be killed, and preachers will be resurrected from the dead, stand up before our eyes, and then ascend into the clouds, and then the seventh trumpet will sound, and we can be caught up together in the air to meet the Lord, and receive rewards before the Lord.
We must begin to pursue one thing today. If we can squeeze into these 144,000 people, we will thank God. If we cannot squeeze in, we must also become people who have received the pure gospel.
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” (Revelation 7:9-10)
This is an era of restoring the pure gospel. In every era, God is constantly revealing, and in our era, God wants to reveal His gospel even more. We do not restore the truth of the gospel with our own meaning, but with the original words of the Bible to restore the truth of God.
The Kingdom of God Is for Those Who Thirst
Everyone should know that 144,000 people is not a very large number from a global perspective. Is it only 144,000 people? Are there more or less? We can speculate. But it doesn't matter, if you can strive for it, squeeze in. If you cannot squeeze in, you can also choose to be a person of faith and believe in the pure gospel. God washes our robes with the blood of the Lamb so that we can come before God and receive the springs of God's living water. Thank God, may God bless everyone!
