Introduction

Greetings, everyone. Today we continue with the sixth sermon of our Grace and Truth series. This series is exceptionally vital—it reopens the door to healing and deliverance, allowing many brothers and sisters to be set free once again. The topic for this week is: "What is Truth?" Throughout history, generations of people have pondered, struggled, and voiced their deep confusion: what, ultimately, is truth?

Consider those who strive relentlessly on earth to erect massive commercial empires, only to collapse under trillions of yuan in debt—a staggering, astronomical figure. Today, abandoned building projects are everywhere. Millions of citizens continue paying mortgages for homes they will never receive, ruined by this folly. These men siphon their ill-gotten wealth to their wives and children, only for their wives to divorce them, divide the assets, and leave them behind. After all that frantic maneuvering, they end up behind bars.

Lying in a prison cell, such a man asks himself what went wrong. He almost writes his own version of Tianwen ("Questions to Heaven"). Who wrote the original Tianwen? Qu Yuan, who ultimately drowned himself in despair. Man’s heart is packed with these futilities and confusions. Then there are others, full of ambition, convinced that supreme power is within their grasp—only to fail, miss the top post, and end up in prison instead.

What do they do in prison? "Give me pen and paper; I shall write a Tianwen too." Others tell him: "Save your effort. Qu Yuan already wrote Tianwen. You had better write Questions to Earth." They question the stars, the moon, the sun, the heavens, and the earth—utterly bewildered about what they have been doing with their lives. Have you ever experienced this kind of senselessness?

Then there are those who finish singing karaoke, drink heavily with friends, and talk empty talk. Once the high fades, they go home, lie on their beds, stare at the ceiling, and feel an overwhelming emptiness and aimlessness. Before I came to know Jesus Christ, I felt my heart perpetually suspended, ungrounded, and restless. But once I came to faith, everything changed. My heart finally landed on solid ground; it was profoundly reassuring.

Before I believed in the Lord, I had a bad habit: I would constantly gasp deeply for air, so much so that people thought I had respiratory distress. I always felt that my breath got stuck halfway down my chest and couldn't reach lower, forcing me to strain for another gulp of air. After accepting the Lord, that symptom vanished completely. I felt totally at peace.

Later, I realized that vast numbers of people in this world live in sheer bewilderment. They ask: What is truth? What on earth is truth? As I preach this sermon, many are typing in the chat: "Pastor, I know that exact feeling." Indeed, without truth, man has no idea why he is alive. It is a pathetic existence.

Not long ago, I watched a video of a woman in her thirties suffering from heart failure. She had two children and was married to an intellectually disabled husband. As she drew her final breath, her family recorded the entire process and uploaded it online. It was tragic beyond words. An intellectually disabled husband left to raise two small children—how are they supposed to survive? Absolute misery!

Where, then, is the way out for humanity? Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life." He truly is the way, the truth, and the life; He is the one who grounds our hearts. Once a person comes to know Jesus Christ, living becomes a straightforward matter. A sister typed: "Before I came to the Mingding Doctrine, I had already accepted the Lord, yet I lived in constant anxiety." She believed in the Lord, but she did not truly know God.

Today, the core premise of the Chinese Mingding Doctrine can be summarized in one sentence: Emulate Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; inherit the legacy of Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul. Once a person truly knows Jesus Christ, he walks a glorious path—a path paved with truth! The pursuit of truth is endless. It is a path of life, not a road to destruction. Living in this world becomes filled with hope, vitality, joy, and purpose, as we emulate Jesus Christ and understand why we live.

Sometimes I reflect on a sister among us who also raised a child with intellectual disabilities. She married, divorced, and sought to remarry. Someone introduced a potential match to her—who turned out to be another intellectually disabled man. Good heavens! Do you think you are breeding livestock here? People live in delusions, walking straight into tragedy without even realizing it.

That is not the truth, the way, and the life of Jesus Christ; that is merely the miserable default state of human existence. Do you know what truth actually is? Truth is Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ accomplished several concrete things to demonstrate the reality of the spiritual realm to us. He healed the man born blind.

If you rely solely on a worldly perspective, you will never understand. Jesus used His almightiness and the power of the Holy Spirit to lay bare the reality of the spiritual realm. Jesus Christ exposes the hidden secrets of the human heart. He was appointed so that the secret thoughts of men's hearts would be revealed, the works of the devil exposed and destroyed, and grace imparted to us.

Jesus Christ came into this world—born for this, died for this, and resurrected for this—to testify to this truth. When it comes to testifying to the truth, I have much to say. When you read the Scriptures, look closely at what it means for Jesus to testify to the truth. The Bible contains countless testimonies. Jesus came to testify to the truth by displaying the laws of the spiritual realm before our eyes.

To this day, depression is a demonic issue—it is demonic oppression. Cancer is demonic; blindness is demonic. This is what the world fails to grasp. Therefore, when Jesus Christ came to bear witness to the truth, His words carried immense weight.

Recently, in Christian theological circles—especially among Chinese churches—there has been endless debate. One pastor responds to another, arguing back and forth. They clash over what is called the "New Perspective on Paul." Not "New Crown" (COVID-19)—COVID is a virus; the "New Perspective on Paul" is a theological concept. Then they preach about the "Gospel of the King," which makes no sense to me either.

I wondered what they were arguing about, so I picked up their books to take a look. My goodness, I couldn't make heads or tails of it! It was filled with grandiose academic terms written by theologians. I used to read that stuff, and it left me utterly confused. Their explanations are far more complicated and incomprehensible than anything Jesus ever spoke. I said to myself: forget it, we don't need this. I have no interest in their high-sounding jargon.

However, I hold a very firm, practical conviction: Truth must be something you can demonstrate in reality. If I claim to master aircraft engineering, my airplane must be able to fly. If you cannot build a real plane and instead fold a paper airplane, can you call that an aircraft? It is just a piece of paper. Truth is proven by results. The Apostle Paul declared:

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)

If you truly believe you are capable, I challenge you: take these truths and demonstrate them to me. If you cannot produce results, you had better drop the arrogance. Let me tell you why our approach is practical: because it works in reality.

I believe that no matter how many promises God has made in the Bible, they are all "Yes" and "Amen." That is why, in our ministry, we see people delivered one after another, proving these outcomes through experience. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we testify that Jesus Christ is God, that He rose from the dead, and that He is our Lord and Savior. Only concrete results count.

Truth represents the operational laws of the spiritual realm. Why are people so confused? Qin Shi Huang was deeply confused because men must die. He lived to his fifties, a formidable figure who unified China. His general, Wang Jian, campaigned all the way to Guangdong, Guangxi, and Yunnan, sweeping across the entire realm. As powerful as Qin Shi Huang was, he had no truth; he died miserably in the end.

We must understand the laws governing the spiritual realm. To put it bluntly: spiritual realities dictate our physical existence. If you master the laws of the spiritual realm, managing earthly affairs becomes straightforward. Physical life is merely a shadow.

Let me give you an illustration. If you point a laser pen at a wall, a red dot appears. If I tell you to catch that red dot, can you do it? With a slight flick of my wrist, you can't catch it, nor can a cat. If a demon is using that laser dot to manipulate you, you will be spun around in circles. Therefore, you must master the laws of the spiritual realm.

The words Jesus spoke are spirit and life; He spoke of spiritual realities. These laws work; therefore, they yield tangible results. Because they work, they are reproducible and reliable. If you attempt to prove that Jesus Christ is Lord through purely abstract theoretical arguments, you will fail. The Bible never relies on mere theoretical argumentation.

I do not oppose the doctrine of the Trinity, but reading academic treatises on it left me more confused than ever. To this day, I have never understood their theoretical formulations of the Trinity. The New Testament simply and directly speaks of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—period. What is all this abstract jargon about the Trinity? I certainly didn't get it—and while it might be my limitation, there is a very high probability that they simply failed to write it clearly.

If you are truly effective, follow what the Apostle Paul said: My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)

The laws of the spiritual realm come down to a few hard realities: First, the spiritual realm is real. Second, we need God's grace, because you cannot defeat the demons in the spiritual realm on your own strength. How do we draw upon God's grace? Through faith. Faith is the sole foundation.

Jesus never emphasized abstract theories; He emphasized faith. I believe, and then I draw upon grace—that is the truth. We must continuously ascend in grace and truth to know God. We must continuously engage in spiritual warfare within grace to put God's truth into practice. Every battle fought, every blow dealt to the demonic enemy, relies on God's word and God's truth. That is how truth is verified, and that is proper practice.

God's intent is to build a victorious church; the church is God's army. Overcoming in battle is the ultimate demonstration of faith. So stop boasting every day: "Yesterday I saw Jesus," or "Yesterday I visited heaven." Well, I am just glad you managed to come back. "Yesterday I took a tour of hell." Praise the Lord you returned safely.

Did you take any photos? Did you bring your smartphone? No. Such antics are useless. If you can ascend to heaven, can you actually deliver a few bound souls here on earth? It baffles me—some people haven't delivered anyone, nor can they even free themselves, yet they think they are extraordinary. I say: only practical actions and real results count! Not merely acting like a "nice person," but demonstrating God's word, God's authority, and God's almightiness.

Do you know what this truth ultimately is? It is that Jesus Christ accomplished a magnificent salvation for us—remarkable! He was born for this, came into the world for this, died for this, and resurrected for this, to open the door of destiny (Mingding) for us. We too are born for this, live for this, and will die for this, ultimately rising together with Jesus Christ. Therefore, brothers and sisters, stand firm and be strong once again!

Recently, a junior leader among us was ministering to a sister who was severely oppressed by the Spirit of the Horse. Our leader experienced the exact same dynamic I often face: as she ministered, the Spirit of the Horse began to manifest and speak through the person. Let me tell you, driving a Spirit of the Horse to the point of manifestation takes real spiritual authority—achieved entirely through the truth!

We have another sister who was frequently tormented by a demon. She would lie there crying out, making strange sounds involuntarily, her body twitching. She got up at night to engage in spiritual warfare, fighting relentlessly by relying on the truth—the truth revealed and demonstrated by Jesus Christ! Man does not live on food alone, nor on sleep, nor on drugs, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Scripture

Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world." Then Pilate said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice." Pilate said to him, "What is truth?" After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, "I find no guilt in him." (John 18:36-38)

Prayer

O God, Your kingdom is not of this world, and our kingdom is not of this world either. Your hope is not in this world, and our hope is not in this world. Lord, our kingdom is the Kingdom of God; we do not belong to this world. God, raise us up in this generation to emulate You. Enable us to follow Your steps, to lay hold of the truth, and to bear witness to the truth. By Your Holy Spirit, let us rely no longer on wise and persuasive words, but on the decisive demonstration of the Spirit’s power to make Your truth known to all.

Lord God, we come into this world to bear witness to Your truth. We are here to testify for You, to make it known to all that You are Jesus Christ, risen from the dead. Let mankind see the boundless glory within You; let them see the rich grace and truth that reside in You. Through the truth, the way, and the life You have opened for us, grant us the strength to purge the lies within ourselves.

In the name of Jesus Christ, and relying on Jesus Christ, we shall trample upon the devil and our spiritual enemies continuously in this physical world and the spiritual realm. We shall overcome. We will build Your glorious church until the day we see Your face. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Scriptural Background

This passage records the arrest and trial of Jesus Christ, capturing the varied human reactions of that era. The most famous reaction came from Pontius Pilate, the Roman Governor, who asked: "What is truth?" This was not a casual query; it was uttered by the local governor representing the power of Rome in Palestine.

Pilate was a top-tier imperial administrator. He climbed his way up the political ladder through grit, capability, and military leadership—a formidable figure in his thirties or nineties. But when confronted with Jesus Christ, he was utterly baffled. He questioned Jesus: "What are the charges against you? Are you the King of the Jews? Your own nation and chief priests handed you over to me. What have you done?"

Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” (John 18:36) What realm did He belong to? Was He an alien? Pilate was completely bewildered. Make no mistake, he was thoroughly out of his depth. Furthermore, his own wife had warned him—as recorded in other Gospels—advising him: "Have nothing to do with this righteous man. He is extraordinary; He comes from heaven."

When Pilate realized this man might be from heaven, he was even more confounded. So Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” (John 18:37)

Pilate's wife had likely witnessed or heard of the miracles performed by Jesus. Jesus had been preaching in the region for a long time, and Pilate was no newcomer to the governor's seat. News of Jesus dominated the headlines of the day. Everyone talked about Him. Yet they failed to grasp the mechanics of what Jesus did and said, nor did they comprehend His daily teachings in the temple. When Pilate listened to Jesus, he recalled his wife's warnings.

Pilate could find no crime in Him. He gave sight to the blind and made the lame walk—where was the fault in that? It was extraordinary power. Why then did his own people arrest him? And why did this man assert that he came into the world precisely to be arrested and killed? Pilate was bewildered because his mind was preoccupied entirely with political survival, with keeping his official position intact.

His mind was consumed by worldly concerns, and suddenly there emerged an anomaly—someone who explicitly did not belong to this world.

Let me share a brief anecdote. Next to my office, there is an elderly gentleman who often drops by to chat. I frequently share testimonies with him. One day, he brought a fortune-teller who drew talismans in a temple into my office. I asked, "Why did you bring him here?" He replied, "Help him out." Then he told the fortune-teller, "This young man is remarkable. Pray with him, and your legs will be healed." The old man's legs were stiff like welded iron, taking tiny, painful inches per step, dragging his feet along the floor.

Introducing me, he told the man, "This person exists outside the Five Elements and beyond the Three Realms." I didn't quite understand the terminology at first, but it struck me: Jesus indeed existed outside the Five Elements and beyond the Three Realms. I thought that title might be worth putting on my CV!

Consider this: the rest of humanity is chasing after political titles, running after worldly wealth. Look at the chief priests of that day—wasting their lives squandering time over trivial earthly gains, living merely to survive.

But Jesus was fundamentally different. He stated clearly that He was not of this world. He said if His kingdom were of this world, His servants would fight. In the end, Pilate asked, "What is truth?" The reality of political life for Pilate was tough; he spent every day racking his brains. In politics, the game is immensely complex, full of unknown variables and unpredictable factors. It creates endless confusion.

Pilate, too, wanted to explore truth. What, after all, is truth? He did not realize there exists another kingdom—the Kingdom of God. That is why we must seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. The Kingdom of God belongs to a spiritual reality, a higher dimension. We, operating as lower-dimensional beings, often fail to comprehend spiritual matters, mistaking them for mere religious superstition.

Yet Jesus came into this world precisely to bear witness to the spiritual truth. The way He bore witness is the very template we must follow today. Jesus demonstrated through the power of the Holy Spirit that He is the Son of God, repeatedly unveiling the realities of the spiritual realm.

Take a man born blind. Medical science of that day could not fix it. A man born lame could not be cured by human means. Jesus healed them instantly. People were baffled: how could He do it? Because blindness is ultimately a matter of the spiritual realm, and in the spiritual realm, Jesus holds supreme authority. He bore witness to the absolute laws of the spiritual realm.

This opens our eyes. Poverty today is a spiritual reality; sickness in your body is a spiritual reality. How do demons enter? Because men are deceived by lies. What a tremendous advantage it is to possess the truth! Brothers and sisters, understand this passage: it illustrates the cold, helpless reality of a man living merely in the flesh, confined to a low dimension.

If we live only in the flesh, we will groan, labor, and remain helpless. How was this demonstrated? The night before, Jesus told Peter: "Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times." Peter was indignant. Yet when Jesus was arrested, Peter followed from a distance. When others entered the courtyard, he followed inside.

He genuinely had the intent to die for Jesus—you cannot say he lacked commitment. But when someone said, "You were with Jesus," he denied it: "I am not." Jesus looked at him, and someone asked again: "You were with Jesus." He denied it again.

Why does this happen? Jesus revealed a hard truth: "The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." We frequently find ourselves trapped in this friction between the spirit and the flesh. How do we resolve it? Only when the Spirit of Truth enters your life can He assist you. When you are weak, the Holy Spirit becomes your strength.

The logical framework of the flesh and of this present life is fundamentally at odds with the logical framework of the Kingdom of God. What is truth? Truth dictates that man can accomplish nothing by the flesh alone, and therefore Jesus Christ died in our place.

Even the High Priest Caiaphas unwittingly prophesied that it was expedient for one man to die for the people. When Jesus gathered crowds of five thousand or ten thousand, did the masses care about the spiritual laws of God's Kingdom? No. They wanted to leverage Jesus to overthrow the Roman Empire.

Look at the vast disconnect! A crowd of patriots wanted a political revolution, but Jesus would have none of it. What the general public sought was miles apart from what Jesus came to accomplish. Had the masses risen in rebellion under Jesus, the bloodshed would have been immense—Rome was at the peak of its imperial power. Hence, the High Priest concluded, using earthly logic, that it was better for one man to die for the nation. But his perspective remained trapped in a low dimension.

Jesus came precisely to lay down His life. Caiaphas was merely a bit player fulfilling a role in God's providence, yet he brought a curse upon his lineage for generations. That Jesus died for us all is the ultimate grace. He revealed spiritual truth to us, proving how futile it is to live governed by the flesh.

The kingdoms of this world are twisted and conflicted. Living in the flesh, men live tortured lives. But Jesus Christ reigns as King—the absolute King of Heaven. This is the truth. The apostle John recorded these words so that we might know Jesus Christ is truly the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Jesus did not come for a casual stroll. He was born for this, died for this, and came into the world to accomplish an eternal weight of glory. For even in that era, false philosophies were emerging to oppose the truth of Christ.

Truth One: The Kingdom of God is Not of This World

This is a corrupt world. Examine it closely: men in this world spend their lives chasing shadows and catching the wind. But the Kingdom of God operates on an entirely different principle. It does not belong to this world; it is a kingdom that will come to pass and descend upon the earth.

Think about it: the world is one domain, and the Kingdom of God is another. Will these two kingdoms clash? Inevitably. What is this warfare? The kingdom of this world is corrupt, under the sway of the devil. If you intend to plunder men from the devil's grip and set them free, you must engage in warfare—spiritual warfare. The Kingdom of God and the kingdoms of this world do not share the same system. They represent two distinct logic systems, two value systems.

What logic system governs your mind today? The moment a person speaks, his logic reveals whether he belongs to the world. The number of sicknesses in a person's body often matches the number of mental strongholds in his mind. Is what resides within us aligned with the world, or aligned with God's Kingdom?

When we minister to the sick to release them from bondage, a clear picture emerges: their minds are saturated with worldly logic. If you treat the kingdom of this world as your home, how can you enter the Kingdom of God? The coming of God's Kingdom means the arrival of its logic system within us.

Do not assume that building a physical church building automatically establishes the Kingdom of God. It does not. One must evaluate whether the logic system operating inside that church is divine or worldly. Many churches, over time, devolve into worldly institutions. Consider commercialized temples in the secular realm—people package them and list them on the stock market! I tell you, even the idols in those temples must cringe; eventually, the very system puts those corrupt abbots behind bars. The spiritual realm operates according to absolute spiritual laws.

The Kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom, not belonging to this realm. We must ensure that this world has no hold over us. Can you bid farewell to the ways of this world? Demonic torment occurs precisely because believers harbor too many worldly elements within themselves. We must dismantle these worldly thoughts, cast them out, and replace them with the logic and truth of God's Kingdom.

The Apostle Paul did not rely on endless, noisy deliverance sessions. He did not need them because his inner man was entirely consecrated to Jesus Christ. For him, "it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." Therefore, if we are to wage effective warfare, we must cast out the worldly garbage within us, embrace the logic of God's Kingdom, and systematically reclaim every inch of lost ground.

Truth 2: Bearing Witness to the Truth

What testimony do you have today? Sometimes I speak very bluntly. Why? Someone says, "Teacher, look at me, I am doing quite well." I ask them: "Well in what way? Which part of your life is good? What have you actually accomplished? Who have you set free? Who have you snatched back from the devil's hands? What have you done? Have you borne witness to the truth?"

"Look, I got promoted three times in my company recently." Is three promotions a testimony? I do not consider that bearing witness to the truth. At best, that is merely receiving a small measure of grace. To bear witness to the truth—let me repeat a verse I have not spoken on much recently, but it is crucial: My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. (1 Corinthians 2:4)

Let me tell you this. When we fail to cast out a demon, it is because our understanding of the demon is insufficient, and our grasp of God’s Word is weak. Through the Word of God, we come to realize why a demon holds on so tightly: because the person harbors a lie within. Once we inject the truth and strip away the lie, the person is quickly delivered.

Once delivered, the person gains freedom and a real testimony. The truth works! Every time I scale new spiritual heights, it is through this process of bearing witness to the truth. Why are you in such a hurry? Once during ministry, I noticed an anxious, restless spirit in a person.

I said, "Ah, this is a spirit of anxiety." Once I cast out that anxious spirit, his internal anxiety vanished. Is that not remarkable? Anxiety was the work of a demon. Once I drive it away, I anchor myself in God's Word. What does God's truth say?

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength." (Isaiah 30:15)

Truth 3: The Spirit is Willing, but the Flesh is Weak

Peter is a very interesting character. He was outspoken and direct. Jesus asked, "Who do you say I am?" Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Then Jesus said, "I must go to Jerusalem to suffer and die." Peter blurted out, "Never, Lord!" What did Jesus say to him? "Get behind me, Satan! You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."

This was Peter—a hybrid. On one hand, a mouth for Satan thinking in human terms; on the other, a disciple confessing Jesus Christ as Lord. Isn't that strange? Peter genuinely wanted to die for Jesus. He had the resolve.

Yet when people confronted him, saying, "You were with Jesus," he denied it: "No, I was not!" Three times he denied the Lord. What logic is this? Before Jesus was crucified, He revealed a reality to us: we, too, live in this same contradiction. We are all Peters, big and small.

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. What do you think God's truth is for? It is designed precisely to solve this problem. God is not afraid of your weakness. What He fears is your inability to believe and receive by faith. How did the Holy Spirit come? Through Jesus' death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, God bestowed the promised Holy Spirit to overcome the weakness of the flesh.

Recently, we made a major adjustment: putting the flesh to death must be done by the Holy Spirit. It is not about me beating down your flesh, or you beating down mine. That creates friction, trouble, and misery. It is far better to let the Holy Spirit do it. We simply align with and follow the Spirit.

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. The Spirit of God comes specifically to address the problem of the flesh, condemning sin in the flesh. Jesus Christ became our propitiation; this is why we observe Holy Communion.

Through the blood and body of Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we put to death the misdeeds of the body. The Kingdom of God and the flesh are opposing realms. God's Kingdom is a spiritual realm, constantly manifesting itself to bear witness to the truth.

Truth 4: Jesus Died for All

In the weakness of the flesh, man owes a debt to the flesh. But because Jesus Christ died for all, we no longer owe any debt to the flesh. Jesus died for everyone, exactly as Isaiah prophesied: Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5)

He died for all, shedding His blood. But it does not stop at His death. Jesus was meant to be sentenced to death, flogged, and crucified—that was His mission. The Son of God became flesh to demonstrate the reality of the spiritual realm to us.

Having revealed this, He could have ascended immediately, but He did not. He chose to die, be buried, resurrect from the dead, and ascend, precisely to resolve our inner contradiction. So, brothers and sisters, when you drive out demons and they refuse to budge, declare this: "Jesus Christ has died, Jesus Christ has risen, and Jesus Christ will come again!" That carries real power!

He paid the total price for us. Deliverance does not depend on us getting everything right first; we can be set free anytime, anywhere. The salvation accomplished by Jesus Christ—His stripes, His crucifixion—took away our transgressions and bore our curses. Consequently, the devil's presence becomes illegal immediately! Drive it out!

Jesus accomplished two critical tasks: First, regarding demons, He cast them out. Second, regarding sin, He subdued it. In other words, Jesus Christ solved the intractable problem from the era of Adam, Eve, Cain, and Abel—the problem of subduing sin within us.

Has sin been subdued or not? Through the Holy Spirit, we can indeed subdue it. Through our Lord Jesus who loves us, we are more than conquerors. This victory is absolute. It does not depend on whether you are anxious or calm. Victory is 100 percent guaranteed—I firmly believe this. Having cast out countless demons and solved innumerable issues, I am filled with gratitude every time I finish ministering.

Without Jesus dying for us, where would we get this grace? Yet some brothers and sisters have mindset systems that are hard to change. They always think they are somebody important. But once you think you are something special, you try to bargain for Jesus' grace. You cannot buy it. What can you offer in exchange for the life and death of Jesus Christ? Christ died for us while we were still sinners.

He did not wait for you to improve before dying for you; He died for you while you were a sinner to deliver you from death. Here God demonstrates His love. Driven by this love, we are more than conquerors. Whatever demon you encounter in the future, stand firm through our Lord Jesus who loves us. Believe that God is a God of love, not a harsh taskmaster. He is full of grace and truth—that is Jesus Christ.

Truth 5: Jesus Christ is King

Jesus Christ is King. Jesus Christ is Savior. Jesus Christ reigns forever. His death and resurrection are absolute truth. You must realize that Jesus Christ has already conquered and reigns as King. The world may be ignorant of this, but in the spiritual realm, He is supreme. Before I came to Christ, I had a very simple, pragmatic logic. It was straightforward and sound.

My mother once consulted my cousin's wife, a spirit medium. This medium came to our home and told my mother that our ancestors worshipped some deity. My mother brought that thing back and set up a shrine. Our house was small, so she placed it in a dark corner behind a cloth curtain. After worshipping it for a while, my sister developed a severe, violent mental illness. It was terrifying.

My parents reflected on it: life was fine before, but worshipping this idol brought zero results. So they cleared it out and threw it into the trash. My view was pragmatic: if you want to worship a god, do not worship a petty, ineffective one. If it cannot solve real problems, why bother? It is a non-entity in the spiritual realm. How can it protect me when it probably needs protection itself? Throw it away.

When I came to faith, why did I believe? I wanted to find the ultimate God of heaven and earth, the most powerful One. I discovered that Jesus Christ is supreme. I walked into a church on my own—a church that practiced deliverance. In fact, there was only one such church casting out demons in all of Singapore at the time, and I happened to walk right into it. Was the Spirit of God guiding me? Absolutely. This was powerful—it could drive out any demon! Jesus Christ is King.

Let me tell you, in this universe, if you know Jesus Christ, He is your Lord, your Savior, and your King. Magnificent! Having cast out so many demons, what can they do to me? My Lord is King—the King of Heaven! Try challenging the King of Heaven and see what happens. He is dependable. Unlike the petty idol my parents got through my relative, which was completely useless.

Truth 10: Not One Will Be Lost

This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: "I have not lost one of those you gave me." (John 18:9)

This statement is of paramount importance. There is a vital principle here. Suppose not everyone gets healed, but say, 99% get healed. Do you know what happens? If the Scriptures said 99% are healed and 1% are not, people would immediately assume they belong to that 1%. The result? Everyone buys into that mindset, and all are ruined.

But if it says all are healed, what confidence that gives! People desperately need such a promise from God. This is a solid, reliable promise: all are healed. Not only that, but another promise states: "Not one will be lost." Many people think, "Oh, I am so weak; am I an object of God's wrath?" That is human nature: "Am I the one who gets lost?" No. Not one will be lost.

If even a single one could be lost, we would be in trouble. Everyone would worry about being that one lost soul. Therefore, God's promise is reliable and repeatable. Do not doubt it for a moment. I am chosen by God. Why do I believe I am chosen? Because I choose to believe it. No special reason—I am willing. I will never be lost. Why? Because not one will be lost. How do you know you are among them? I simply know I am.

Anyone asking me such foolish questions lacks sense. Why refuse to believe? People say, "Oh, I am just one of those who can't believe." Why can't you believe? I find it strange. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

Do not believe that anyone will be lost. Not a single one. Brothers and sisters, since you have come among us, let me tell you my conviction: I do not care whether you are rich or poor, a business owner or destitute. When one person comes, I serve that person well; when two come, I serve both well. That is the Church—the Church of God.

Do not allow the world's lies to rule over you. Start bearing witness to the truth. When you experience these things personally, how can you not believe? I have seen and done so much—how could I disbelieve? Remember, the flesh is weak, but Jesus Christ died for us on the cross, demonstrating God's love.

God has given us the Holy Spirit to bear our weaknesses, help our infirmities, and make us strong. Know that Jesus Christ is the supreme God; Jesus Christ is King; not one will be lost.
