Good day to everyone. Glad to meet you all online again! Today, I want to share on a topic that can make you all smarter, and it is called Greed and Foolishness!

Greed and foolishness are closely linked. Previously, we shared a lot of messages about overcoming and striking Old Horse. Recently, we have been at it with Old Horse again. Actually, engaging with Old Horse is good news. When we engage with Old Horse, it has to repay us. Once Old Horse repays, we can receive these graces without being greedy.

A characteristic of greedy people is that they do not know that greed is a form of foolishness. Let's carefully observe the final outcomes of greedy people around us. The best examples are those corrupt officials who have been arrested. The endings of these corrupt officials are generally not good, which is very interesting. Did they want to live well? Yes, they wanted to live well. But did they live well? No, they did not.

Several years ago, there was a case involving three siblings. The younger sister brought their mother from the countryside to the city to live and care for her in her own house. Actually, the younger sister took good care of their mother. Then, the old houses were redeveloped and turned into an apartment building. When the elder brother saw this, he thought, Wow, my sister's house has been turned into an apartment! So he brought a renovation team and renovated his sister's house.

Unexpectedly, after the renovation was completed, he claimed that the house was his. This is very interesting. Was the house his? The property certificate did not bear his name at all; it only stated that his mother lived there. This child coveted the elderly woman's property to the extent that even if the house was not her property, but she only lived there, he still coveted it, thinking that after renovating it, the house would be his! Where else can you find someone who spends money to improve someone else's property? This is a very typical case of greed.

Not long after, this son developed lung cancer, and the disease progressed very quickly. He died within a few months. After his death, did he get the house? No, he did not. Isn't this foolishness? It was someone else's house, and the property certificate was in their name. Did it become yours just because you renovated it? This greed was fatal, resulting in cancer and death.

Later, one day, the elderly woman went to visit her son's grave, cried, and slipped on her way back. After returning, the elderly woman's legs began to stiffen. Behind this was Old Horse! What was the result? The elderly woman became paralyzed. After a year or two, the elderly woman passed away, and her sister’s brother's son was still living in that house. Should they take care of him? It was a complete mess.

The point of telling this story is to illustrate that a person's greed is inseparable from foolishness. A person becomes so greedy that they forget normal logic. Is this normal logic? Later, when we fought Old Horse, we realized that this logic is Old Horse's logic system.

We have been fighting Old Horse recently, and I have noticed that throughout the history of the church, no one has ever mentioned the concept of striking Old Horse. As far as I know, we are probably the first to bring it up. Why? Because in our era, the seven seals in the Book of Revelation are to be opened, so the truth about recognizing Old Horse is beginning to be revealed. We are starting to recognize Old Horse.

Recognizing Old Horse is very interesting. There is a testimony: One of our sisters, a small pastor, received a new believer. This new believer had a headache one day, so she ministered to her remotely and led her in prayer. As she prayed, the person could not control herself, and her mouth started to speak.

Actually, this person knew in her heart, but she could not control her mouth from speaking. The Old Horse inside this sister said, For so many years, I have never lost a battle. And Old Horse had indeed never lost a battle. It said, No church has ever recognized me. How is it that I encountered you, and you recognized me as Old Horse? Old Horse was furious because we had exposed it.

This Old Horse is very bad. Regardless of whether it is lying, it sometimes tells the truth after being defeated. It said that the sister's previous church, from the pastor to the brothers and sisters, were all defeated by it and controlled by it!

When a person is controlled by Old Horse, they become considerate of the flesh, love the world, and become selfish and greedy. This matter is very interesting. As a result, Old Horse wondered, How is it that a church recognizes me? It was surprised! After hearing this, we also felt good: How did we recognize Old Horse? Because we have overcome!

I would like to remind everyone again: Be careful with the title Christian. The majority of Christians are under the control of Old Horse. This is a common phenomenon. That is to say, everyone should be careful when doing business or other things with Christians. Even with the Christians I lead, everyone should be careful. Why? Because you don't know when they are themselves and when they are Old Horse. Suddenly, Old Horse comes out and scams your money. It's no use coming to me; I can't help you either.

Christians are very prone to attracting Old Horse. Christians controlled by Old Horse are everywhere. I used to be quite surprised: How come so many Christians are so selfish? It turns out that Christians easily attract Old Horse. There are so many Christians who are considerate of the flesh and selfish! We started striking Old Horse several years ago. Through this round after round of striking Old Horse, we have discovered many characteristics of Old Horse.

What is Old Horse related to? It is closely related to laziness, greed, mental laziness, and selfishness that we see. Old Horse constantly releases a lie: There are no demons! Since I am a Christian, no matter how selfish and greedy I am, there are no demons in me. This is purely a lie, because we have seen demons on Christians with our own eyes. We must know that Old Horse likes to resist the idea that there are demons in the world.

In the process of ministering, whenever Old Horse manifests, it says, There are no demons! Where did the demons come from? If the person you are ministering to tells you this, you can be very sure that this is demonic talk!

A flat tire for no reason is Old Horse, and electrical appliances that break easily are also Old Horse. When a person carries a demon, the things they use break easily. When Old Horse lives in a person, the person becomes stupid. If you observe carefully, a person struggles in their twenties and returns to the starting point in their thirties; struggles in their thirties and returns to the starting point in their forties; returns to the starting point in their fifties, and becomes negative in their sixties.

Selfish and greedy people do not think they are selfish and greedy, just like they say they have no demons. Stinginess, selfishness, and greed are all closely related to Old Horse. One brother also knows that the people in his city are relatively stingy, but he said he is the most generous person in that area. Today, we want to find the basis in the Bible. Think carefully about the story I just told, because I want to solve the problem of people becoming smart. I want everyone to become smart, and people become smart by reading God's Word.

Scripture

You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife. You shall not set your desire on your neighbor’s house or land, his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. (Deuteronomy 5:21)

Where does this come from? This is a statement from the Ten Commandments. Deuteronomy talks a lot about not killing, not committing adultery, not stealing, not bearing false witness against people, and finally says not to covet your neighbor's wife, nor to covet your neighbor's house, land, male or female servant, ox, donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. This is part of the Ten Commandments. I will explain it to you later. Today, we will talk about the last commandment of the Ten Commandments, greed.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, do the work of revelation among us today. Let those who speak and those who listen have a heart of vigilance. Let us be very careful in dealing with the greed within us. When this feeling of greed arises within us, may Your Holy Spirit reveal and remind us, so that we do not fall into the snare.

Lord, do wonderful work in us today, so that we can clearly understand in our minds that greed is something that You abhor. Lord, grant us such wisdom and intelligence today, so that we can recognize that greed is an extremely corrupt thing. Today, we ask for Your help, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Greed is a Spiritual Matter

Greed is a spiritual matter. But what do people covet? It's all related to money, either greed for wealth or greed for lust. Isn't it strange for people to covet other people's wives? They always feel that their own wife is not as good as other people's wives. Seeing that their own house is not as good as other people's houses, seeing that their own property is not as good as other people's property, they have a strange feeling in their hearts.

Everyone must know that it is not that we will have money if we are greedy for money, nor is it that we can marry someone else's wife if we are greedy for her, nor is it that we can take someone else's house if we are greedy for it. It's just a feeling. But the Bible tells us, You shall not covet your neighbor's wife. Coveting is a feeling inside. When you covet, you have already violated the Ten Commandments.

You haven't done anything, it's just what you think in your heart. This is called lustful thoughts. The last commandment of the Ten Commandments is called greed. The Ten Commandments speak of ten things that cannot be done. The Ten Commandments are not something lofty, but a red line. Crossing this red line will immediately bring a curse.

When we begin to understand that greed is a spiritual matter, we must begin to understand why God tells us not to do this? Because when people do this, Old Horse will come. Many churches do not recognize Old Horse today, but that does not mean that Old Horse does not exist. Old Horse is operating very rampantly in the church.

Once there was a pastor who loved God very much, and thought he did not need money. After a while, a problem arose. One day, several sisters fell in love with this pastor. The pastor was moved by these sisters, and then he chose one of the sisters and got married.

What happened after the marriage? The other sisters were very uncomfortable, and it became a sore spot in the church. Why do I know? Because one of them was someone I ministered to. We feel that getting married and having children is a matter of course, and there is no problem, but the problem arises. When a person gets married and has children, he used to be able to feed the whole family, but now when one person is full, what about the others?

In fact, this law not only applies to pastors, but also applies to others. Many corrupt officials also want to be honest officials, but when they think of their families, their children's futures, and their relatives, they have to be corrupt. As a result, they become greedy and end up in prison. This is called foolishness.

The Bible tells us not to love our wives and children more than God. There is a reason for this. Greed is a spiritual matter. You may have a thousand and one reasons, such as making money. You may say that making money is not a normal thing? If you think this way, you will be trapped immediately. Trapped by whom? Old Horse.

Everything related to living, eating, drinking, and sleeping is related to Old Horse. Last time I shared about the White Horse, Red Horse, Grey Horse, and Black Horse. These four horses are called Old Horse. These four horses are powerful, trapping people tightly. The main problem is the problem of living, but can people live well if they want to? To live well, people still have to overcome these Old Horses! Greed is a very troublesome thing. It will be fully reflected in every aspect of people's lives.

There is also a pastor who runs a coffee shop for the sake of making money. Paul tent-making was not for money; he was just trying to support himself. Paul did not have many relatives; he was able to feed the whole family by himself. Many of us, however, are dragging a large family and carrying the burden of the family, so we reasonably love money and reasonably make money. As a result, we are trapped. The church members and he ran the restaurant together, and later sued him in court because there were many financial disputes. Old Horse made him miserable. Did he make money? No. What he earned was a lot of trouble, which is very sad.

If you are a pastor today but cannot recognize what Old Horse is, it is a tragedy. Because the seal has been opened, Old Horse has actually been around for a long time. This time it is released to make the church a victorious church. Therefore, we must know the seriousness of greed. You may not necessarily think you are greedy, but the results will prove that many people have been defeated by Old Horse. Old Horse is very ruthless. It can cause people to have car accidents.

Once I talked to Old Horse. Because Old Horse was defeated by me, I asked it to honestly confess what bad things it had done. It laughed there. I said, Don't laugh. Tell me what bad things you have done. It said a few people I knew. One day, they were driving on the highway, and Old Horse said, I passed by there and blew a breath, and the car rolled off the cliff. Old Horse is very bad. It laughed after it finished speaking. Why? The driver attracted Old Horse because he loved money. Why did he love money? Because his son had not yet married a wife, and he had not bought a house yet... It's all these things in the world.

Therefore, our brothers and sisters must know that, regardless of normal needs or abnormal needs, what is the greed inside us? It is that we feel it is not enough. There is a reason why God raised me up to strike Old Horse. I am awesome. No matter how much money I have, I am content. Even if I have no money, I am content. What kind of person is this? This is the essential quality for striking Old Horse.

It's a bit difficult for me to fall into Old Horse's trap. The reason is simple. I don't care about many things. People say, Don't you care about your mother? Don't you care if your mother dies? I don't even care if I die myself, so why would I care if my mother dies? This is a resolve. Because I have wisdom, I have thoroughly studied life and death, good and bad!

If you want to live well, you must be able to defeat Old Horse. If you can defeat Old Horse, what will happen? Old Horse often tells me: In a few days, I will put a bullock cart on and pay you back. How did my money come from? It was all repaid by Old Horse. How did Old Horse repay it? I can't explain it clearly to you, but someone sent money. Isn't it good to win? Do I need to be greedy? Do I need to love money? I don't live by money. So what about your son and your wife? I don't care about my own life and death, so why would I care about their lives and deaths? This is a person who strikes Old Horse.

We must know that if we forsake everything for the sake of God's kingdom, we will win. When we win, Old Horse will have to repay the money. Old Horse was fully manifested some time ago. Several brothers and sisters contracted COVID-19, which is a typical Old Horse. If you get COVID-19, you have better repent properly, otherwise be careful. It doesn't matter how good your words are. So greed is a very foolish thing.

God Wove a Large Net

God wove a large net, a net of greed. We must not fall into it. Was it God's net or Old Ma's net? It was God's net. But who holds up this net? Old Ma holds it up. Old Ma is God's servant, specifically picking up the trash. Therefore, our logic must be established; do not fear ghosts, only fear God, and do not offend God.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. (Psalm 91:2-3)

God gave Old Ma a large net. In reality, the fowler's snare is the result of human greed. This net is specifically for catching the greedy. Like the example I gave earlier, greed for the younger sister's property at all levels resulted in them being caught in the net. Many corrupt officials have greedily put themselves into the net. Is there not a saying: Man dies for wealth, and birds die for food.

When I was young, I liked to catch birds, so I made a cage, a rolling cage. If the bird wanted to eat my wheat, it would fall into the cage and be unable to get out. This cage was a bird trap that my father and I made together. Why did the birds fall into the cage? Because they were greedy for food. In that era of scarcity, we liked to catch birds to eat their meat. I will tell you how we ate the birds. We first wrapped the bird in mud, then put it in the fire to roast. After roasting, we broke open the mud, and the bird's feathers would fall off with it. That is how we ate it, and it tasted quite good.

So how does Old Ma catch people? He does it in a similar way to how I caught birds. People are foolish precisely because they do not realize that their greed immediately hooks them. If it is a fish, it bites the hook; if it is a bird, it falls into the cage; if it is a person, they fall into Old Ma's net. How terrible! Think about it, why does this happen to people? Because in their minds, they believe that people need money to live well, and as a result, they die for wealth.

In reality, how much money does a person need in a lifetime? Many people live in the delusion and foolishness of money. If people were not for money, and could clearly see that it is a net, they could simply not go in. Why do they have to go in? I have asked many people: Is it good to have money? It is good, not having money is not good. I ask them: Do you want to live a wealthy life? Yes! I then ask: Why do you want to live a wealthy life, why do you want financial freedom? They answer me: Because with money, you do not have to work. You can eat, drink, and play all day long, how wonderful! With money, you can be willful.

They think that with money, they do not have to work because working is tiring. In reality, people are just lazy. Why do people go to be greedy? People just want to live a better life, thinking that it would be wonderful to do nothing and enjoy the best food and drink, but in reality, they are not that happy. People's spiritual eyes are not open, so their eyes are only filled with money.

The copper coins of the Qing Dynasty were round on the outside and square in the middle with a hole for money. We say that people get stuck in the money hole, which is a metaphor using the money hole of these Qing Dynasty copper coins. People get stuck in the money hole because their minds are foolish. Foolishness is difficult to resolve. In reality, when people are foolish, they cannot listen to advice. If they could listen to advice, that would be good. Today, we must reflect on whether we have such a logical system. We must be careful, you never know when you might get stuck in the money hole. You do not need much, just once is enough for you to suffer.

Therefore, we must be wise. I will tell you how to be wise. Take me for example, I do not want financial freedom, nor do I want much money. I will create value for as long as I live, because I can work. I only care about the value I create. We must establish a system, that is, a system where people do not need much money to live a fulfilling life.

In reality, people do not need to accumulate so much money. After accumulating it, would not it become a tragedy? For example, some people owe others millions of dollars, and they still have not paid it off to this day. How did they owe millions of dollars? If they did not engage in those shady dealings, would they owe millions of dollars? They were not born owing millions of dollars. Because they love money and desperately want to make money, they suddenly get trapped. Some people, once trapped, are trapped for life, how terrible! How can we become wise? People must have spiritual vision, and not see the world through the lens of money, but through the word of God.

You say, can you live well without money? Yes, because I have God, and the Father's house has plenty of money. Do I need to be greedy for money? As long as I please God, I can live well without being greedy for money. Observe me closely, do you think I live well? Of course, I live well, how free I am! Because those who trust in God lack nothing.

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. (Psalm 34:10)

God wove a large net to ensnare these people. Was this done by ghosts or by God? God is in control of all things in the world. But some people insist on arguing with me, saying: No! All things are not under God's control. This view is wrong. How can all things not be under God's control? If God wants to destroy these ghosts, it is not difficult at all. What is difficult is saving these worldly people. It is very difficult to save people from greed.

To this day, I have set an example among us which is that as long as we do things well, we will never lack anything, and we will always have contentment. Facts prove that having God is truly beneficial. Therefore, never fall into God's snare because of greed, then you will be dealt with severely by Old Ma. Old Ma is very bad.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must carefully ponder. If you have been deceived by Old Ma until today and are still stuck in the circle, you must reflect carefully. After reflection, we can break free and not stay in this net. We can stay in God's kingdom, become a person with Mingding Destiny, a person who lives out God's glorious image, and there will be no lack in our hearts. We must never fall into the net before realizing that greed is foolish. Why do some people fall into the P2P trap? Because those people only think about making money and do not think about losing money.

It is Foolish to Realize Greed Only After Falling into the Net

If one day you fall into the net and only then realize that greed is foolish, it will be too late. In the book of Ecclesiastes, a matter is discussed which links opportunity with the snare.

I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. Moreover, no one knows when their hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so people are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them. (Ecclesiastes 9:11-12)

I have recorded this sentence in my Bible: What looks like opportunity is actually a snare. After people's eyes are deceived by Old Ma, they cannot distinguish which are snares and which are opportunities. For example, when a bird flies next to a bird cage and sees that the wheat in the cage is plump and large, it thinks: How wonderful it would be to eat that, especially since I am so hungry right now. As a result, as soon as it gets close, it falls into the cage. In the end, the bird ends up in someone's stomach. That is what it means to fall into the snare.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, when disaster suddenly strikes, people are trapped in it in the same way. What looks like an opportunity, is it really an opportunity? Most likely it is a snare. All those who have been deceived by P2P, those who have been fooled, those who took in a large batch of goods before, and who still have several million dollars stuck in the goods, have fallen into the snare. Moreover, taking out loans of several million dollars is already very difficult; if they lose it, they will become even more miserable.

The Bible records a person named Balaam, a prophet who had never seen money before. Today, we brothers and sisters, if you have never seen the world and want to become a preacher, I am truly worried for you. Because if you have never seen the world and have never seen money, that is actually a risk. Balaam had always lived a simple life, with just enough money for food each day. He had never seen so many treasures, gold bars, gold chains, or even kilograms of gold.

A Moabite king named Balak brought a basket of treasures and flashed it in front of Balaam's eyes. Balaam's heart was immediately seized by the treasures. With his eyes closed, he could only see treasures. He thought: Oh my, that is so much money. With this money, I can have wealth and glory. Balaam forgot that this was a snare. He thought it was an opportunity. As a result, he prayed and asked God, and God said he could not go.

But Balaam was still concerned about the gold and silver jewelry. As a result, he went to ask God again. In reality, his heart had already been captivated. God said again that he could not go. But he went to ask God again. God saw that he could not stop him and agreed. Later, Balaam went with Balak, dreaming of good things in his heart. He was originally going to curse the Israelites, but the words that Balaam spoke were quite spiritual.

But Balaam answered Balak, “I have come to you now, but can I say anything at all? I must say only what God puts in my mouth.” (Numbers 22:38)

Balaam blessed the Israelites, but all he could think about was gold and silver jewelry, thinking: The elaborate banquets I have never eaten before, the luxury cars I have never driven before, the BMW I have never bought before, the slaves I have never had before, the beautiful girls I have always wanted ...... all of this can be realized after possessing gold and silver jewelry. Balaam was full of beautiful fantasies about the future. He painted a beautiful picture of the future, but the ending was death. Later, Moses led the Israelites and killed all those who seduced the Israelites into sin, and Balaam was among them.

Balaam thought he was going to seize this opportunity, but he did not know that behind it was a snare. In reality, God is in control of everything, but God also allows these people to be captured by demons. Many people cannot understand: Why does God not save them? The Ten Commandments record that God curses the greedy. If there is greed in people, God allows demons to capture these people. Greed for houses, greed for money, greed for food, greed for drink, greed for lust, wanting to gain without working, wanting to live a life of wealth and glory, these all end in death.

It is foolish for people to be deceived. Greed is foolishness. Therefore, before doing anything, you must carefully weigh it and understand the risks. You cannot only think about making money, what to do when you lose money? Therefore, selfishness and greed become people's snares in the spiritual realm. When you fall into the net, like Balaam, there is no turning back.

In my heart, I often cry out to God: God! May you give our brothers and sisters a wise heart from you, so that they may become wise people. But there are still some people who fall into the pit as soon as they do something. These people all carry beautiful hopes, but these beautiful hopes become Balaam's snare. No matter what the hope is, it may be the hope of a Prince Charming, the hope of a Snow White, or the hope of a beautiful love, or the hope of a good life. If it is not the hope of an eternal crown of glory, if you have worldly hopes, people cannot become wise and will definitely fall into the demons' snare.

Be a Wise Person No Matter What

Where does wisdom come from? It comes from God. We must see clearly that people who want to be lazy, indulge the flesh, and do not want to work will always need money. If we can always create value, and keep creating value, do we need money? Money needs us, and money will flow into our pockets. Therefore, we must train our brains to be smart, train our hands to be nimble, become insightful in understanding, live frugally, and no longer indulge the flesh.

Those who live with me know that I am a frugal person. I donate the money I save. I do not indulge the flesh, my body has no problems, my mind is sharp, my hands are nimble, I work more than others, and I eat less than others. Do you think I need money? Money needs me and always flows into my pockets. Does not this enrage the poor? Why is this? Because I have a rich mentality inside. I am content and do not need a lot of money. But it was not always like this. It was after careful study, investigation, observation, and deliberation that I felt that wise people should be like this!

I will give you a few concepts. The first concept: passive income. The second concept: active income. If you have a lot of passive income, for example, if you are an ordinary person with a lot of property and houses, and only collect money, you will keep becoming more foolish. Because you have money, you do not need to use your brain. People with passive income think that money can solve many problems, but the most important thing is for the brain to become smart.

Active income is the value created by doing things and working. Society does not advocate that everyone gets passive income. Passive income does not create social value. Active income is when we actively create value, and people will become smarter. Passive income will make people become increasingly foolish.

Among our brothers and sisters who are financially free, I push them forward, constantly doing things and making themselves smarter. This is the logic system of our church. People with smart brains and nimble hands, who are no longer lazy, but who are contributing, constantly contributing, and constantly blessing others, will become wise people who can bless many others.

What will never be outdated in this world is education and training. People will always need to do education and training, transforming losers into social talents, transforming foolish people into wise people, and transforming unhappy people into happy people. Some people have a Coke in their left hand and fries in their right hand, and they eat themselves into several hundred pounds of weight. They cannot do anything well, and nothing they do looks right. They feel conflicted in their hearts. Others see them as dog feces, and they see themselves as dog feces. Is not that a troublesome way to live?

Today, no matter what kind of person you are, no matter what level or state you are in, you must be a wise person who can create value. People need to work, they really need to work, because working itself is a grace. We need to understand the affairs of this world, and once we understand, that is good. Think about it, eating and drinking all day long, today you have a toothache, tomorrow you have constipation, and the day after tomorrow you have a mouth ulcer. You will create a lot of problems, and many problems are caused by eating.

There was a time when I bought twice-cooked pork to eat, a big plate of it. It looked like a good deal, but after a few days, I had a mouth ulcer that hurt terribly. I said: I have to repent properly. That is how people become wise, learning from mistakes. You have to constantly be insightful in understanding and know that greed for money will not only fail to get you money, but will also bring disaster. If you do not do any work and just stay at home spending money, you will become foolish and live without value, glory, or honor. Therefore, no matter what level you are at, you must learn to be a wise person.

In Conclusion: Dealing with the Feeling of Greed

Do you understand what greed is? Greed is the feeling inside us, a feeling of lack, of insufficiency, and a need to obtain and acquire. This feeling is not obtained through hard work, but through unearned gain. This greed will cause us to fall into the snare and be captured by Old Ma. This is the most foolish thing a person can do in their life. Sometimes being captured by Old Ma may bring your life to a full stop, an exclamation point, a comma, or a semicolon, and you will often be brought back to square one. Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must see with spiritual eyes and know that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.

I will read you a passage from the Bible:

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. (2 Timothy 3:1-7)

This is a bit harsh. I hope that our brothers and sisters are not this kind of people, but people who understand the word of God, who are wise, and not people who are always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. The reason why people cannot understand is because their minds are blinded by greed.
