【Bible Study】Matthew Chapter 18 - Such People Can Enter Eternal Glory!

2020-07-01 47,767 Matthew Spiritual Building the Church Resolve Casting Out Demons Obedience Stumbling

Introduction

Good day to everyone. Let us examine the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 18. This chapter serves as an excellent example for Bible study. If we fail to grasp the key points and themes of chapter 18 and instead read it in isolated segments, we are essentially engaging in a practice of selective quotation, a term that our Chinese people have long coined. What does selective quotation entail? It involves disregarding the original intent of a text or speech, extracting a particular passage or sentence in isolation.

If we do not carefully read chapter 18, we may find it to consist of disparate sections with seemingly little connection between them. I find it hard to believe that the author would list several unrelated items together; such an author would not be considered a good one. Moreover, the God we believe in would certainly not enumerate a series of disjointed matters; our God acts with order and purpose. After reading chapter 18, you may perceive a sense of relevance yet also irrelevance. If the mutual relationship between the sections or the overarching message remains unclear, we may become greatly confused.

I did indeed spend considerable time diligently pondering what God intends to convey to us through the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 18. Ultimately, I concluded that God seeks to reveal to us what kind of person can enter into eternal glory. With this understanding, all the sections become related, each emphasizing a single point: what kind of person can enter into eternal glory.

Today, I will guide you into a new method of Bible study, though not necessarily entirely accurate. Do not assume this is the only correct approach; all of you should maintain a spirit of exploration. If you can summarize a method that better grasps God's heart, I will learn from you. My sharing serves as a means to elicit valuable opinions, and I never believe that everything I say is correct. However, we must all possess a spirit of seeking, and I believe that those who seek will surely find. Now, let us read through this chapter section by section.

Humbling Oneself Like a Child: Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, (Matthew 18:1-5).

These disciples are still inquiring about who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? Such a question itself introduces significant perplexity. We would naturally assume that the greatest in the kingdom of heaven could not possibly be a mere child. Yet, Jesus brings a child forward, declaring that this child is the greatest. If we do not turn and become like children, we will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Did Jesus answer the disciples' question? It seems He did, yet also did not. Why is it necessary to be like children? Are children not immature? Very immature. We often say we must grow into adulthood, yet Jesus says we must be like children. This appears contradictory, but in reality, it is not. For if one desires to enter into eternal glory, our carnal conceptions must revert to being like those of a child.

Our carnal conceptions must weaken progressively. The older one gets, the more one discerns good and evil, and the more one discerns good and evil, the more problems arise. More problems lead to more complexity, which in turn leads to more discernment of good and evil. In reality, people live simpler lives when they are young, because they do not discern good and evil as much as adults do. When I was young, adults often said, Do not read Romance of the Three Kingdoms when old, and do not read Journey to the West when young. Because children often have nightmares after reading Journey to the West, fearing demons and making things overly complex.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms is all about intrigue and scheming. Cao Cao and Zhuge Liang were masters of political strategy. People would strive to emulate Zhuge Liang, Cao Cao, and Sima Yi, ultimately complicating life, which is inherently simple, and falling into a logical system of discerning good and evil. The spirit of death becomes increasingly strong in people, and the spirit grows weaker and more desolate. This is why the human body deteriorates and is eventually corrupted by evil spirits.

What kind of person did Jesus say can enter into eternity? The disciples were essentially asking a very carnal question, but Jesus answered in a highly spiritual manner. Jesus said, Unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. From what must we turn? We must turn from discerning good and evil, from being carnal, and from the customs of this world.

If one followed Zhu Yuanzhang, Zhao Kuangyin, or Liu Bang to conquer the land, everyone would want to be the top dog after the battle, which was the case with Jesus Christ's disciples. They thought, When Jesus establishes His kingdom, I will sit on His left, I will be His chief advisor. But Jesus was not talking about this. Viewing issues with a carnal perspective often leads to confusion!

People today often make their own lives miserable. A young couple's father called the boy's father and said, Look at my daughter marrying into your family. You didn't give her a proper wedding or dowry. Isn't our daughter being wronged? The boy's parents also felt wronged. Why should I give you a dowry? Why should I give you a dowry? Your daughter is the one who liked my son; I didn't like you!

Consequently, the boy's father called his daughter-in-law, who said, Yes, I married into your family, but you didn't give me anything in return. At that moment, I thought that the father was quite pathetic! Because he was not the one who was dating his son. It was his son who went on his own to date, and his daughter's decision to marry his son was not his father's decision to make. You wanted to marry my son, that was your own decision, why did you say I had to give you a dowry?

Children are the Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, (Matthew 18:1-5).

People use the eyes of man to look at problems, but when I look with the eyes of spirit, I know that their days are numbered . All are now the logic systems of this life. This is the logic system of this world. People still feel justified. Have I not believed in the Lord for so many years for nothing? Have I not read the Bible for nothing? Was building the foundation done for nothing? Why? Because they were corrupted by these things.

People always think they do it right, but in reality, Jesus Christ's disciples only care about the things of man and not the things of God. Isn't that miserable? They are terrible! They are still arguing about who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus' disciples came to Jesus very devoutly, but they expect to hear is: You are the greatest in the kingdom of heaven, you are sitting next to me to be my advisors. They wanted to get an answer like this. As a result, Jesus said: You become children, and if you do not convert and become children, you won’t enter heaven.

Today's children have also become complicated, and the age for recognizing good and evil is getting younger and younger. If you become more simple, you won't do these customs of the world, and you won't know anything about dowries, and you won't understand these customs of the world. If you walk so far on the road of the world, to turn back, you must go back from the moral of good and evil, love of the world, and the logic system of this world, to be a child, to recognize less and less good and evil, less and less of the fleshly, and the worldly customs, and the stronger the spiritual life.

So today many of us don't know, we think it is about profiting! But this is not about profiting at all, but about profiting a lot of evil spirits. Why would this be a life of poverty? Why would this become a life of poverty? I have to shepherd him, I have to tell the truth, and therefore there must be a conflict with his mentality. But thank God that our Lord Jesus is frank with His disciples.

All of us may be going on the wrong road, either care for the things of man instead of the things of God, or to be able to tell the difference between good and evil, or care for the logic systems of this life, if you have all of these things, wouldn’t there be troubles? How can you go into eternal glory? You see that, going into eternal glory does not require these complex things.

Spiritual things are very simple! Be humble, know that you are just a person, that I need God, that I need to obey God's will, and I need to do according to what God says. Many people think they are smarter than God, more formidable than God, and they will complicate what God says. So how do you come into eternal glory? So you must become like children.

Becoming like children does not mean spiritual immaturity, but more and more immaturity in the carnal and worldly life. The more unfamiliar you become about the carnal, worldly, and current things of this life, we become increasingly familiar with the things of the spirit, and this way we’ll enter God’s kingdom in the future.

Those Who Cause Others to Stumble are Themselves

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things are bound to come, but woe to the person through whom they come! If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell. See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. (Some manuscripts add verse 11: “The Son of Man came to save the lost.”) (Matthew 18:6-10)

As a result, many people cannot enter because they stumbled. Wasn't I just talking about being like children? If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Who do you think is causing the little ones to stumble? The final conclusion is that it is themselves.

What is he obeying to? They are following the logic systems of this worldly life. So today, my brothers and sisters, never you think: “It is you that cause me to stumble”, so God should have a millstone tied your neck to drown into the sea. This is you that didn’t read the Scripture carefully and taking out of context.

Jesus said: woe unto the world because of the things that cause people to stumble. Such things are bound to come, trouble will come, but woe to the person through whom they come. Then he goes on to say that if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, then in reality, the problem of stumbling is about yourself. If you cause yourself to stumble, then you have to be in trouble, put a millstone around your neck.

Don't think that children are sure to go to eternal glory; it is not guaranteed! sometimes he will stumble. When did he stumble? When he complies with these customs, logic system of the world. I observe some people; it is difficult to turn their heart to God. People like to fall into worldly system and logic of the world.

As another example, “the girl wants to marry the boy”, So what does Grandpa have provide bride price? Grandpa does not have to pay bride price! People go along with the world and feel being wrong by the world. People are used to and follow the ways of the world.

In addition there is a man and a woman who reached a stage of a close relationship and ready to get married. Issues happened when talk about the wedding and the bride price, eventually they broke up! I am totally puzzled that why there have to be so many complicated things. Since two people are together, enjoying life, love each other, well, that’s good enough. No ways, they involve Grandpa, Mother-in-law and Father-in-law.

Later, I discovered that this worldly customs is complicated, and its very complicated for me! And that’s a cause for stumbling others. Therefore woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! The world is like that, The question lies in, Therefore in order to have eternity Glory, you have to have the determination! So, what is determination? If one of my hands cause me to stumble, I will cut if off. If my leg that cause me to stumble, I will cut it off. You will say, it hurts, I become disable. But I would rather be a cripple than be cause to stumble

Some will say there are disable in the kingdom of heaven. There are no disable people in the kingdom of heaven. Those people would never been heard saying such thing! The heaven is full of glory. Do you want enter into eternity Glory? Do you really value eternity life? If you value eternity life, you hate the world. “you will follow after things that are spiritual”.

Those Who are in the Glory of God, Have Resolved to Follow the Lord

Do we have the determination to? Those who enter into eternity Glory of God, Have resolved to follow the Lord, those who can are indecisive, will not. Do we understand? You are stumbling all away around saying all, are caused by us to stumble. But to me, you stumble long before. You never been up before. How can talking about stumbling?

I am emotional, praise God. The Bible is exactly accurate. Imagine The Bible tells If a person’s leg cause you to stumble, and you have to cut off that person’s leg. If a person’s hand is that cause you stumble, you cut off that person's hand, we could be in panic. We should thank God, our hand and the leg cause ourselves to stumble. Will someone’s that did not fall off?

Really is someone like you saying, one leg, one hand, one eye cause ourselves to stumble. Will you cut them off? What does that mean cutting it off? It does not mean. to allow ourselves to stumble. We have such determination. Holding tight to God. When we are afraid, we learn to rely on God. If we comply with the worldly custom, start to deal with it. If our hand, our eye our leg comply with worldly custom, we have to deal with hand, our eye our leg.

We are from fleshly, and powerfully became like little child. The process is continue cutting off, cut things that cause to fall. This ways we became a complete person! You will not lost of leg, hurt hand. You became an unblemished person. Cutting off flesh leg, flesh hand, rather than true and the leg.

If we continue to deal with ourselves today! No longer care for man. Keep our eyes looking to eternity Glory. What kind of devil you are able to drive. You drive out devil with great power, and release to person with great power. For the sake of Lord Jesus. Not hesitating to lay your life away. And we are not lack anything. As in eternality glory, we are not died and there in the eternality glory of God. When we are alive, and we saw Glory descend on to ourselves.

When we are in alive, like Elijah or Jesus. When we are alive, we can see brightness as. We need things to prosper in the eternal Glory God. Our things always prosper. Our people will be blessed. We are most lack of God! If you comply with the worldly custom, no wonder you are poor and poverty. If you want comply with the worldly custom. God regards you as pagan and to tax collect officer.

We don’t stumble for ourselves. And our hands and our legs in the worldly darkness, and we cut and cut. And we have to be the spiritual people. We have to have over overcome.

Church is to Take God’s Sheep into God’s Glory, Not Wolves

See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. (Some manuscripts add verse 11: “The Son of Man came to save the lost.”) “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost. (Matthew 18:10-14)

Are there any who have fallen among these little ones? Yes. Is this God's intention? No. Regarding these 99 sheep, we often become confused. The Lord Jesus is using a metaphor that our God does not want a single sheep to be lost; this is the key. Some people do not properly shepherd a group of people, using this passage as a basis: this group of people is already in the church, and my responsibility is to find the lost sheep. As a result, these 99 are not well-shepherded, and the one to be brought back is not found, or if found, it turns out to be a wolf in sheep's clothing.

We often think that not even one sheep should be lost, but from a spiritual perspective, these 99 sheep are actually weasels or wolves in sheep's clothing, a view that is not common. We should carefully read this passage: In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost. Our Heavenly Father does not want anyone to be lost; God hopes that we can all enter into God's eternal glory. But will you choose to follow God? That depends on your fate.

We must know that sheep have the characteristics of sheep, and wolves have the characteristics of wolves. Are you shepherding sheep? I heard long ago that a certain pastor was sued by members of the church and investigated for mental confusion. Are the people in that church sheep? Not everyone should be pulled into the church! I observed this phenomenon very early on.

At that time, I told myself: I cannot be like them; someday I will shepherd God's sheep. I do not want to shepherd a group of weasels, a group of wolves in sheep's clothing, or a group of little foxes. If you shepherd a group of dung beetles, will it not be smelly?

We need to be careful because some in the church are sheep, but some are wolves. You will find that a sheep is missing every so often; they are being eaten by wolves. Wolves mixed in the church are a terrifying thing. If you care about the number of people in the church, the number of people in the small group, or the number of people in the district, you are in trouble. Our church requires every brother and sister to pay the price; if you are unwilling, just leave slowly and do whatever you want to do.

Once, a sister said: Pastor, I want to leave the church. She thought I would keep her, but I did not. I said, May God bless your path ahead. After she left, I went back to the office jumping and shouting: God, I thank you! Someone said: Your church is almost dried up, why didn't you keep her? I had long said in my heart: God, can you clean up the church a little? Bring back the sheep and drive out the wolves. As a result, she left, and I thanked God.

Why do I vigorously promote driving out demons among us? I will tell you a secret: in the process of driving out demons, I can drive out wolves, weasels, little foxes, and wolves in sheep's clothing. Why do I like driving out demons so much? Because driving out demons can purify the church. When you drive out demons, if the person is a wolf at heart and the carnal things are very strong, they will either be transformed among us, or they will be taken away by the demons.

Once, I was in a battle with a large demon, which called itself Ma Lao San. Ma Lao San is actually a white horse, the leader in the horse system, but it ranks third in the spiritual world, with Satan as the top. Ma Lao San told me that it works very hard, and I asked it what it was working hard for. It said, I am working hard to help you build the church.

Isn't this strange? I asked it how it was working hard to help me build the church. It said it takes those people away. I asked it who it was planning to take away recently? It said it could not tell me. Then I asked it, in the past, who did you take away? It told me those names, and those things really happened.

Later, I discovered that a church that does not drive out demons cannot be clean because the church is full of spiritual darkness and power. How can you overcome if you do not drive out demons? Ma Lao San belongs to a larger demon; it completely looks down on churches that do not drive out demons. After Ma Lao San became my defeated general, it helps me to work, but if you lose to Ma Lao San, the church will be full of smoke and chaos, and there will always be problems that cannot be solved. So the church must bring the sheep into God's kingdom; only sheep can enter into God's eternal glory.

Can the wolves enter? Can the weasels enter? Can the little foxes enter? No. So in God's kingdom, people's nature is the nature of sheep. Our Lord Jesus gave us an example; He was like a sheep, silent under the hands of those who sheared His wool. Sheep are very obedient, goats are not obedient, but sheep are very obedient. If you shear the wool of sheep, they will obediently let you shear; you do not even need to hold them down. But if you try to shear the wool of a wolf, it will bite you to death!

So what the church needs are sheep, not weasels, nor wolves in sheep's clothing; never bring weasels into the church. Some people will say, how do I know who is a sheep and who is a wolf? A brother loves the Lord very much, desperately pulling people into the church, and insisting on doing a money-losing business. I said: Why do you do a money-losing business? He said: I do a money-losing business to bring people to the church.

What kind of brain is this? I said, Can you afford to lose money? He said he could not afford to lose money. Do I need you to do that? I do not need you to do that. Later, he found that many of the people he brought in were really not sheep, so brothers and sisters must understand what you are doing. Know that sheep have a characteristic; sheep are very obedient.

The Church's Holiness and Unity: God is in Our Midst

Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:18-20)

Do not think that these are mere superficial words. Why is our church constantly engaged in the work of binding and loosing? Because Jesus Christ mentioned binding and loosing when referring to such matters. When we bind and loose, the sheep become sheep, and the wolves become wolves. When we bind and loose, the church begins to enter into unity of purpose, seeking the Kingdom of God. When we cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ, the Kingdom of God will come upon us. When we build His glorious and victorious church in the spirit, the church becomes a unified church. When the church is unified, the church becomes holy, and the brothers and sisters also become holy.

What does it mean that two or three of us gather in the name of Jesus Christ? It is two or three people, not twenty or thirty thousand people, because two or three people know me, and I know you. Whether you are a sheep or a wolf, we can see clearly what kind of person you are.

In the past, I encountered many rogue Christians in a local church in Singapore. For example, there was a person who played drums on the church stage, and he was particularly good at it, looking very dashing. He was a bankrupt, and his pastor took him in and helped him. One day, this drummer invited me to his home. Twenty or thirty years ago, there was something called LD, a laser disc, and one LD cost 1000 RMB. In those days, he had hundreds of them at home.

He also had a large television, a big screen, and audio equipment at home. These things were very expensive, worth tens of thousands. He showed them to me, and I was very puzzled. How could a bankrupt have these things at home? My impression of him was not good. Later, I found out that he had cheated many people out of their money. He also borrowed money from me, but I didn't lend it to him.

Today, in the church, do not think that just because you have the word Christian branded on your forehead in gold, you are a true Christian. The word Christian is almost synonymous with scammer. Many people use the word Christian to deceive people. When you hear someone say, I am a Christian, how could I possibly deceive you? that is a scammer, without a doubt. I am a Christian, how could I possibly deceive you? I guarantee you in the name of Jesus Christ, I will never deceive you, the person who says this is definitely a scammer.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must know whether this person has the intention and determination to enter into God's eternal glory. Is he concerned with the desires of the flesh, or is he concerned with the Kingdom of God? Is he gathering in the name of Jesus Christ? No! In whose name is he gathering, then? I do not know. He may be gathering in the name of old Marx.

Where two or three gather in the name of Jesus Christ, there is Jesus Christ in our midst. What does Jesus Christ do in our midst? He does the work of binding and loosing. If we do the work of binding and loosing, Jesus will surely be in our midst. If we are only singing and dancing on a nicely decorated stage wearing fancy pants and holding a fancy fan, it seems that Jesus did not say He would be in their midst.

Jesus said, whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. That is, after this binding and loosing, the 99 are sheep, and our Father in Heaven will also find the one that was lost. Everyone must understand that the difference between a wolf and a sheep is too great. A sheep is obedient, and a sheep seeks God's eternal glory. But a wolf does not have this. The nature of a wolf is fleshly, and it will not pursue eternal glory. Let us look further.

As We Treat Others, So God Will Treat Us

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him. Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. “At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

“But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded. “His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’ “But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened. “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.” (Matthew 18:21-35)

The preceding passage is about how our Father in Heaven will treat us. As we treat others, so God will treat us. The summary of the law and the prophets is that we should treat others as we want them to treat us. But today, people live in the logic of this life, in the logic of the world and the flesh, and it is not like this. They always feel that they are at a disadvantage.

In my ministry over the past few years, I have helped many people, and I have not really sought anything from them. But they still feel that they have suffered a loss with me, and they still find fault with me, which surprises me. What do they find fault with? Look at the pastor's eyes, they are clearly telling me that he looks down on me...

What can I respect in a carnal person? I wonder why people do not know how to pursue eternal glory. If I am so kind to such a person, how would he treat those to whom he is not kind?

Brothers and sisters, be careful to consider what kind of person someone is, whether you are making friends or interacting with people in the world. In the past few years, I have learned how to interact with people. I usually do not make friends with bad company. I never make friends with bad company. As soon as I see how he treats others, before he even does anything to me, I stay far away.

Many people have received many blessings from me. For example, a sister, she is quite wealthy. About twenty years ago, her best friend borrowed several hundred thousand from her. At that time, this sister lent all her money to her best friend. Twenty years later, her best friend has not yet returned the money to her.

When I heard the conversation between them, I was very surprised. This sister of ours said: I don't want the money anymore, you don't have to pay it back. As a result, the sister who owed the money not only did not pay it back, but also often spent money to take many courses, such as beauty and health courses. I thought: If you have this money, why don't you pay it back to her quickly? She just didn't, and even replied: What? Do you think I won't pay it back?

I felt that something was very wrong when I heard it. I said: If you are going to pay it back, then pay the money back quickly. The other party said again: She doesn't need the money. I said, What kind of person is this? As we talked, she opened her mouth and said: My dream in this life is to do charity. I said, Forget it. If you want to do charity, pay off the money first before you do charity. This person is very muddled!

One day, this sister came to me and said that her best friend had blocked her. She asked me why she had been blocked. I said that it was I who had asked her to block you! I took the blame, it doesn't matter. Making friends with such bad company is really annoying. How can such a person enter into eternal glory? They cannot even live out God's glory in this world. We must begin to understand that it is not annoying when a person is stingy on the inside but pretends to be generous on the outside?

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.” (Matthew 18:21-22)

Those who enter into eternal glory do not care about the affairs and gains and losses of this world at all. They have long despised the affairs of this world. As a sheep, or as a lost lamb that God has found, how can we be afraid of people offending us? Sheep have one characteristic: anyone can offend a sheep. They can kick it if they want to, and they can show it some color if they want to. The sheep does not react. But if it is a wolf, how can it not react? It will bite you.

We must pursue eternal glory, which is to imitate Jesus. Even though those people nailed Jesus to the cross, Jesus still said: Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. Do we have the image of God? Whether we care about glory in eternity all depends on how we behave in the world.

Brothers and sisters, let us be obedient people in the church, people who cast out demons, people who cause the Kingdom of God to come, and be of one heart and one mind with our brothers and sisters. If people offend us in this world, we will forgive them an infinite number of times and not be concerned about these things at all, because that is the kind of people God wants!

God wants to lead us into eternal glory, to make us like Jesus. People go where they look like. If people look like demons, speak like demons, and act like demons, where will they go after they die if not to the devil? But those who are like Jesus when they are alive will return to Jesus when they die!

Summary

We must grasp this basic principle: are you a wolf or a sheep? Are you willing to forgive people? Can you be offended? Can you be wronged? It all depends on one thing: whether you pursue glory in eternity. Glory in eternity is to offer yourself completely. What kind of person do you want to be? Make a choice today!

If you say, I want to be that kind of person, and I want to pursue eternal glory, and I want to be like Jesus, and I want to be like you, but I can't do it, then get rid of the demons inside of you, and get rid of the carnal things inside of you! It is just like Jesus said, if my hand causes me to stumble, cut it off.

Let us become a perfect person in spirit, let us turn back like a child, no longer discerning good and evil, no longer being polluted by the customs of this world, no longer being controlled by carnal things, no longer obeying the lies of the devil, no longer being concerned with the meaning of people, but only being concerned with the meaning of God. Today you are in the glory of God! May God bless everyone!

[Bible Study] Matthew Chapter 18 - This is the kind of person who can enter into eternal glory! After reading this article, I have always had a question, can you help me? 1. I understand the truth, but I can't live it out. I don't have love for people. When I see people I don't like, I hate them from the bottom of my heart, but I know I have to love them through Jesus. This kind of effort to overcome my heart makes my love very dry, and there is never a natural flow of love. 2. I know that to live out the life of Jesus, I need the help of the Holy Spirit. This article says to kill the ghost inside me, to kill the carnal things inside me. I especially long to kill it, but I just can't kill it. I especially long for the Holy Spirit to flow all over my body at once, like some people are struck by lightning, so I will be completely different, but I seem to always live in Romans chapter 7 "Wretched man that I am!". Please, how can I rely on the Holy Spirit to kill that ghost and kill that sin?

My suggestion to you: 1) Know the word of God in your understanding, 2) Pray in tongues a lot.
