【Bible Study】Matthew 24 – Take heed that no one deceives you

2020-08-19 62,147 Matthew Authenticity Church Miracles and Wonders Glory Faithfulness Deception

Introduction

Good day to all, let us turn to Matthew Chapter 24. This chapter is quite extensive, and we must first identify its central theme. I strongly object to the method of Bible study that repeatedly dwells on a single verse. Some Christians have told me that a certain pastor is very skilled because he can expound on one verse multiple times, continuously. While this may be acceptable for a thematic sermon, it becomes problematic in Bible study, because studying Scripture out of context is extremely dangerous!

Various methods of Bible study exist today, but my approach involves identifying the central theme. Once identified, it becomes easier to examine the scriptures around that theme. You will find that the entire Gospel of Matthew has a clear direction: two kingdoms, two logics, two outcomes—God's people and those who are not, the system of God's Kingdom and the system of the world. Chapter 24 continues to explore along this trajectory.

The worldly logical system, no matter how well thought out or seamless it may appear, ultimately leads to a tragic end. The theme of Chapter 24 is: See to it that no one misleads you. The phrase mislead is repeated several times. Some are misled by the things of this world, while others continue to uphold the logical system of God's Kingdom. We will unfold this chapter bit by bit, keeping this theme in mind.

The Confusion of the Temple's Destruction

Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” (Matthew 24:1-2)

When Jesus left the temple, His disciples approached Him, pointing out the temple buildings to Him. How tall and magnificent this temple was! In those days, they found the temple, built with stones one meter high, one meter wide, and two meters long, to be too majestic. Today, countries typically compete in urban construction, vying for the tallest buildings and the best scenery.

In Jesus' time, people were also misled by these things. The disciples pointed to the temple, saying, How magnificent this temple is! Our God is so great! But God's greatness has little to do with the height of the temple. In the Christian faith, there is much confusion and bewilderment among the disciples. Pastors, you see, some churches have 100,000 people, others have 80,000, and they open many branch churches in 100 countries... Today, our way of thinking is often similar. We tend to believe that the largest churches must be the most authentic, but is this really the case?

The Pharisees, scribes, elders, and chief priests in that temple crucified the Lord they worshipped. Therefore, Jesus said that not one stone would be left on another. We still have many confusions today. Some have said to me, Are you the only one who is right? I find this statement rather unpleasant, but they do have a point. It's unlikely that I'm the only one who is correct, but the Bible is definitely correct.

My method of Bible study has several key points. First, find the theme, find God's will, what God is trying to tell us. Second, how to apply God's Word to daily life. These two are crucial to avoid being misled. In the early days of building my church, I saw that other churches were magnificent, with fantastic sound systems, stages, drummers, and lighting. I had painstakingly shared the Gospel with a few people, and I worried that if they saw the churches of others, they would feel ours was shabby.

In reality, the size of a church proves nothing. At that time, I resolved to build a glorious church because I always felt that what they were doing did not align with the Bible, it was not like Jesus! When I first believed in Jesus, I felt that being like Jesus was a very good thing. Jesus healed and delivered people; He touched the sick and they were healed, He made the blind see, the lame walk, and the lepers cleansed. When did I ever see Jesus organizing a band in the Bible?

When I saw many helpless brothers and sisters, I hoped to solve their problems. The magnificence of the temple has little to do with the preached word. You might say that their church is so big, so tall. If you think this way, you have fallen into deception. The true Word is in God's Word. In the future, our church will continue to expand, and we will have many members, but this proves nothing.

I have seen some churches with tens of thousands of people. When I got to know those members up close, I discovered some interesting things: everyone was looking at horoscopes and finding boyfriends and girlfriends; the church had become a marriage agency. Some of those I had led to believe in the Lord went to a megachurch. I asked, Why did you look for such a church? She said, I want to see if I can find a boyfriend. I asked, Why go there to find someone who speaks English? She replied, I want to find a foreign boyfriend. That's what they were doing, but did they care whether the doctrine was pure or not? Where does the problem lie? Would they be deceived? They didn't care so much.

Earlier, we discussed the problem of hypocrisy. If one is always playing games, one will end up as a hypocritical Pharisee, a brood of vipers. Isn't that deadly? Can you play games and end up looking like Jesus Christ? Definitely not! Everyone should carefully consider what I am saying and see if it makes sense. We must be careful not to be deceived. How can we be careful? Be sure not to look at the outward appearance. The outward appearance of the temple is useless, and so is the outward appearance of a person. Look at the inner heart.

Look at the inner heart to know whether a person has God in their heart, whether they truly love God or love the world, what is inside them? You can deceive me, but you cannot deceive God! When things are finally exposed and the fruit is borne, what will you do? Some are Christians on the surface, but inside they are hypocritical Pharisees. How can they escape the punishment of hell? Even while you are alive, the worms of hell will begin to bite you!

So everyone be careful not to look at the outward appearance, lest you fall into deception. Falling into deception is a very deadly thing. Some have said to me, Look, those who don't believe in Jesus are doing pretty well. They are all millionaires! This phenomenon is very misleading. They use a person's status and wealth to measure whether a person is blessed. But this has absolutely nothing to do with it. Rich people may be blessed or cursed, and poor people may be blessed or cursed. Let's not lump everything together. Wealthy people may be very spiritual or not spiritual at all. We should not judge from outward appearances.

The Confusion About End-Times Disasters

“You see to it that you are not misled, because many will come in my name claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will mislead many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. (Matthew 24:4-8)

When we see the events in the above scriptures, we will find that the occurrence of these things is necessary. But I find that many Christians like to pray for world peace: Lord! Please protect us and let this world be at peace. Is this God's will? Many Christians feel that praying for world peace is in accordance with God's will. Would you say this is misleading?

There are also some Christians who pray: Lord! Please protect our economy. This is an extremely confusing thing! In places where the economy is extremely developed, people become apathetic towards loving the Lord. On the contrary, in places where the economy is not so developed, people still love the Lord, because once the economy develops, everyone loves money.

Why do I say this? When there is an economic crisis, people encounter many problems and begin to seek God, and the spiritual state of the church goes up. When the economy is booming and the bull market is soaring, the spiritual state of the church goes down. Actually, nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and no one knows who will be next! It is difficult to predict. This generation is rife with disease, and these are the beginning of sorrows!

Will we be confused as to why our God would let such things happen? God! Let our economy get better and the environment get better, it sounds right. But some people can’t find a job, and instead of saying that they are spiritually weak, they think that if the economy is good, they will be able to find a good job. But even when the economy is good, if a person is cursed, there is no way to find a job.

It's the same as the stock market. Even in an economic crisis, there are still some stocks that are good stocks; in prosperous times, there are also some stocks that are junk stocks. The problem lies with ourselves: are we in accordance with God's will, or are we not?

The Confusion of Being Hated by All Nations for Jesus' Name

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of having increased wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:9-14)

In our faith, there are many confusing things. What is Jesus trying to tell us in this passage? It is normal for us to be hated by all nations because of Jesus' name. We should not think that being hated by all nations means that we are somehow inferior. One of our sisters went to a church, which in my understanding really doesn't have any true doctrine to speak of. Her husband didn't object at all, and even encouraged her to participate in this and that, and even actively participated in giving and many church services.

Later, when this sister came among us, her husband strongly opposed it. This has happened many times. And I didn't do anything else, I didn't tell her not to work, not to live, or not to take care of her family, as if she didn't do anything at all. On the contrary, I really hope that she can take good care of her family and take care of her children, but why does her husband hate her? This is very confusing! This is actually a battle between two kingdoms, the kingdom of the world and the kingdom of God. The key is that there is a church sign hanging outside, but which kingdom does it really belong to?

So everyone should know that being hated by all nations is normal. I released these people from the torment of disease, I drove the demons out of their families, and they were healed. Who did I offend? I didn't take a penny from them. Why do they hate me? I am really surprised! In fact, this is also normal: two kingdoms, two logical systems, and the evil spirits operating behind them are very hateful. At this time, do you choose to fall? In fact, many people will fall, betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will rise up and deceive many people. What is a false prophet? They are false prophets. False prophets and real prophets are similar and difficult to distinguish.

When we read Journey to the West, Sun Wukong meets a real opponent, the fake Sun Wukong. The real Sun Wukong and the fake Sun Wukong were evenly matched, and the people watching below really couldn't tell which was the real Sun Wukong. They looked exactly the same, dressed exactly the same, and held the same golden cudgel, but one was real and one was fake.

Pastors, prophets, and apostles are the same; there are many false ones who rise up to deceive many people. What is the key to being deceived and not being deceived? The key is in yourself. If you are not careful, and you immediately think it makes sense when you hear it, you will be easily deceived! Being deceived, can you bear fruit like Jesus? No! Today there are many kinds of Christian doctrines, and many ways to study the Bible. There is even a school of thought that criticizes Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. So what is the difference between the fake and the real? The difference is whether we love God or love the world.

In the Christian industry, many pastors have become very rich. Pastors in the United States are very rich, and can even afford airplanes. It's not that it's wrong to be able to buy an airplane; I'm saying that the difference between a false prophet and a true prophet lies in the logical system within them. Those who are based on this life and the things of the world, such as Chicken Soup for the Soul and positive energy, are not real.

In such confusion, many Christians still think they believe in the true way, but they cannot see any resemblance to Jesus in themselves, and they still think they are very powerful. Then wickedness increases, and the love of most people grows cold. Clearly, they look like Christians, but how can they do such things? They fall all of a sudden. But who caused you to fall? You saw that he was a Christian and then he deceived you; isn't that what you deserve?

Christians and swindlers are similar. Many people say: I am a Christian, how could I possibly deceive you? Anyone who says this is basically a swindler. Don't say that Christians are fake; even prophets have fakes. The real and the fake look the same on the surface, but the things in their bones are different. What's so confusing about seeing these things? It's normal to have false prophets and false Christians; it's normal to be deceived by Christians! There's no need to let our love for God grow cold. We must endure to the end, and we will be saved.

We must not be deceived by external things; we must look at the fruit that a person bears. If we understand the teachings of Jesus in the Bible, a good tree bears good fruit, and a bad tree bears bad fruit. We can tell what kind of tree it is by looking at the fruit. We can tell from the fruit whether they are Pharisees or hypocrites, those kinds of snakes. They pick out small mistakes, but they can accept big mistakes. Can this be good?

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be careful. If you read the Bible carefully, you will not be so confused. It is normal for all these things to happen. Our Lord Jesus came not to make the economy of the earth prosper, nor to eliminate famine and earthquakes from the earth, but because nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. This is all normal. You say, God, why don't you do something about it? In fact, these are all arranged by God.

The Confusion of False Christs and False Prophets

At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. So if they tell you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. (Matthew 24:23-28)

Jesus Christ is saying that if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Messiah! or, There he is! or, The Messiah is in the desert! or, The Messiah is in the inner room! do not believe it! If we think about it carefully, where is the Messiah? We always feel like the Messiah is outside of us. If people are ignorant, they are really easily deceived.

Some people say, I saw Jesus, and Jesus walked like this! I say, this is not Jesus, this is a fox spirit, it's fake! Jesus said, May you have peace, and there is this sentence in the Bible, but nothing happened after this person saw Jesus. He was still sick and still confused.

The problem comes up, people just don't like to be careful, to test whether it is the Messiah. How can you believe it as soon as they come up? Does wearing a white robe make you an angel? False Christs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders. Signs and wonders cannot completely confirm God, and cannot confirm the foundation of the Jesus Christ faith; but the Jesus Christ faith must be in accordance with the true doctrine, and at the same time, it should be able to confirm this doctrine.

Empty basins producing snakes are real, and taking things from the air is also real. Some people say it is fake, but I can't see any flaws in the videos taken by TV stations. I think these are signs and wonders. But what kind of people will these signs and wonders create? They will not build people up. To put it more bluntly today, do false Christs and false prophets who perform great signs and wonders include some faith healers and evangelists? It may also include them.

Where is Christ? Christ is in our hearts, in the victorious church that we are building. The victorious church is the body of Christ. The church where God is present is the body of Christ. Where are you going to find Jesus? The best choice is to connect well with your pastor and build a glorious church together. But you have to slowly figure out whether your pastor is a false prophet or a false pastor.

If you read the Bible carefully, it is written very clearly in black and white, and you can examine it carefully. Including me, you need to examine me carefully. You don't need to believe me, and I am not worthy of your belief, but you can carefully look at what I say, the doctrines I preach, and the Bible studies I lead, and see if they conform to the Bible.

What are false Christs and false prophets? False Christs and false prophets have some elements that are very similar to Christ and the prophets, but in their bones, they are basically a worldly system. They are only using the name of Christ or the prophets to build their own name, thereby gaining benefits. They do not fear God and want to gain the benefits of God's kingdom; they are like the Pharisees who divided the temple into stalls and rented them out. The income was considerable. Was that what the temple should have been doing? That was not what the temple should have been doing; that was what the Pharisees were doing.

Today, there are many people doing business in the church, because they think making money is very important. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. It is a very foolish thing for a person to love money, because he does not know that money cannot help him. When a person is dying, what can money do for you? If you are very rich, I think you will use the best medicine and find the best doctor, but you will probably die the fastest, because the medicine is very toxic.

Never think that the Messiah is in the desert or the Messiah is in the inner room. People must go into the inner room to cultivate alone, to talk to God and get close to God. These are not the most important truths. The most important truth is to build God's glorious church. The glorious church is the body of Christ. Where are you going to find God? The most important connection is to be one with the pastor.

You may be chosen by God, but there is no guarantee that you will not be deceived. We must all be careful. If those chosen by God are ignorant and careless, they will also be deceived by these false Christs and false prophets, because their outward appearance is very similar. So God tells us in advance that the Messiah is not in the desert and the Messiah is not in the inner room.

I once saw a person fast and pray for forty days, and he came out and said that he had fasted and prayed for forty days. Later, he fasted and prayed for forty-two days, and then he died, because he wanted to surpass Christ. He thought that he could meet God by fasting and praying. Can fasting and praying really meet God? I haven't found such a record in the Bible.

What our Mingding Destiny teaches is that God's will in the Bible is to build God's glorious church and to build the body of Jesus Christ, so that the body of Jesus Christ may become holy. Every brother and sister willingly offers themselves as a living sacrifice, and when the brothers and sisters are united, God dwells among us, and the situation of Jesus and the Apostle Paul will happen.

How can we know whether it is real or fake? Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. If you see a group of vultures circling in the sky, you will know that there are some animals' bodies or human corpses underground, because vultures specialize in looking for these things. If the church is full of spiritually dead people, there will definitely be a lot of demonic presence and activity in that place.

In other words, whether you are in the desert or in the inner room, if you see a lot of demonic activity there, you will know that there are many spiritually dead people and many people who do not conform to God's will. Even if it has a Christian sign hanging on it, what does that prove? It is just something that God wants to destroy. Even if your temple is built very high and very big, will God be there? God will not be there. God dwells in God's glorious temple.

For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. (Matthew 24:27)

When the Son of Man comes, all the tribes on earth will mourn; but God's people will be gathered together from one end of heaven to the other.

The Perplexity of the Abomination of Desolation Standing in the Holy Place

So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. (Matthew 24:15-22)

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matthew 24:29-31)

It is crucial to understand that the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place is much like the temple in Jerusalem during Jesus' time. The temple in Jerusalem, built by David and Solomon, was God's temple, but those in power were actually abominations of desolation. We must carefully consider and observe that wherever there is God's temple, it attracts the abomination of desolation. If we read the Book of Daniel, this matter of the abomination of desolation is mentioned several times.

Why does it stand in the holy place? Because wherever there is God's presence, there will be the devil's destruction. But whether one is destroyed or not, whether one falls or not, depends on whether you are entangled by worldly matters and whether you are truly and completely dedicated to Jesus Christ. People are often perplexed: how can this temple be filled with a brood of vipers?

There is nothing to be perplexed about. Wherever there is God's presence, there is the devil's corruption. But as to whether a person will fall, that depends on your own making. Be careful lest you be led astray. Today, as we build the church, we must know that Satan, the devil, the enemy, will surely do destructive work among us.

Later, I discovered something truly remarkable: God really does not care about the external; He cares about the internal. In the process of building the church, I found that some people either had the demons cast out of them, or they were taken away by demons. Those whose demons I could cast out were immediately separated from the demons; but those whose demons I could not cast out were perhaps lurking among us. The most difficult to cast out is Satan, who is the abomination of desolation.

Satan was even able to enter into the heart of Judas. You must understand that whatever a person invites into their heart is what will come. Brothers and sisters, do not be surprised; the church will also experience great tribulation. What is the purpose of this great tribulation? It is to sift out God's elect.

The Purpose of the Great Tribulation is to Sift Out God's Elect

In this great tribulation, some are weak, some fall, but some also overcome. In Revelation chapter 8, God's victorious elect will be taken up to heaven when the last trumpet sounds. When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, seven trumpets were sounded in heaven, and then there was the first trumpet, the second trumpet, the third trumpet, and the fourth trumpet. This is the great tribulation, continuing until the sixth trumpet.

If you carefully read Revelation chapters 8 and 9, you will find that life on earth will be unbearable because then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. Can you imagine the cruelty of that tribulation? Today, we must be alert. The generation we are in is very much like what Jesus Christ described in Matthew chapter 24. We are at the end of the world. At the end of the world, is the US dollar useful? Is the RMB useful? No. But those who love money always feel that money is good.

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! (Matthew 24:16-19)

Why are people like this? What does this mean? If people are entangled by worldly matters, this disaster will truly come upon you. Why not go home to take your belongings? Because God will surely provide for us. Why flee to the mountains? I think what the Bible is saying is that, from that day of great tribulation, we need to climb the mountain of the Lord. Perhaps this is not entirely in accordance with the meaning of the Bible, but I will tell you this for the time being.

In the last days, to escape these disasters, the solution is to reject the worldly system of logic and climb the holy mountain of the Lord, constantly ascending in spiritual truth. That disaster is not prepared for those who love God, but for those who love the world. At this time, everyone must know that if the world has reached this stage, there are not many days left. If World War III breaks out, this world will not last many years.

If you reject Jesus Christ and submit to the kingdom of the antichrist, you may live a few more years by苟且偷生 (gǒu qiě tōu shēng, living a transient life), but that's all. If you dedicate yourself to Jesus Christ and build God's glorious church, when the sixth trumpet sounds, you will be caught up in the air to meet the Lord. This is written in 1 Corinthians, so Christians should not be perplexed when they see these disasters.

Our greatest delusion is the entanglement of this life. If a person is no longer贪生怕死 (tān shēng pà sǐ, clinging to life and fearing death) and no longer seeks苟且偷生 (gǒu qiě tōu shēng, living a transient life), many problems can be solved. Why say that those on the housetop should not go down to take what is in their house, and those in the field should not turn back to take their cloak? Are we living for these things? If we are living for God's word, then the problem becomes simple.

If you are interested, you can listen to the Bible study on the Book of Daniel. We are in such a generation, that God will raise up a kingdom to unify this world. I guess it should be China! But this process of unification is a great tribulation. Will you be perplexed after hearing this? Some people even think this is a good thing, but it is not. When the end of the world comes, this world will be poured out with God's wrath.

If a person's mind is filled with worldly logic, such as people have to eat to live, people have to wear clothes to live, people have to have money to live, you will fall into these perplexities. But today, if we know that this world will be destroyed by God and that God will rebuild a new heaven and a new earth, what hope that is for us.

The Purpose of God's Revelation of the End Times

The Bible tells us these parables so that when we see them, we know that heaven and earth will pass away, but God's words will never pass away. Are you and I living by God's word or by our own possessions? In fact, some old people, with土都埋到脖子了 (tǔ dōu mái dào bó zi le, half buried in the earth), do not have many days to live, but they still love money very much. If people do not understand the future and do not know what the future will be like, they will live for this life.

From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. (Matthew 24:32-35)

In the Bible, there is something called prophecy. The fig tree is Israel. After Israel was founded, it became tender and put out its leaves, and the Son of Man is standing at the door. In the generation we are in today, this generation has not completely passed away, and these things will be accomplished, that is, the coming of the Son of Man will be accomplished. I firmly believe that our generation can see the coming of the Son of Man.

When the Son of Man comes, whether we can be faithful and wise servants before Jesus is the key. So brothers and sisters, learn to watch. If you see that things are like this, why do we still love the world? Why do we still love money? Why do we still care about family property and the like? We can dedicate ourselves completely because God has already told us that the coming of this day is certain.

What will happen when this day comes? It will be like the days of Noah, like the days of Lot. In the days of Noah, before the flood came, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, buying and selling, planting and building, until the day Noah entered the ark, and the flood swept away that generation. The coming of the Son of Man will be like this.

Be Alert, Be God's Faithful and Wise Servants

Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. (Matthew 24:40-42)

Ponder carefully why it says, Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left.? Why does it not say, Two people are singing, Hallelujah, Holy, Holy, Holy? Why does it not say that? Because in God's heart, to be a faithful person, you must be a person who does practical things. A person who does practical things will not wait on the mountains or in the wilderness because Jesus Christ is coming, or hide in a secret room to wait for Jesus to come.

I know some people, their way of waiting is very interesting. They thought the year 2000 was the end of the world, so they prepared a room full of mineral water and biscuits, and in the end these things expired. What can that stop? It cannot stop anything. Recently, there are also some people who want to build a 逃城 (táo chéng, city of refuge) in Yunnan, and many people have donated a lot of money.

Where can you escape to? So do not do these things. Do what you should do. In your office, manage well the things God has entrusted to you. If you are a miller, grind well; if you are a farmer, farm well, because that is the kind of person God wants.

Be alert. What is being alert? It is to be a real and true Christian. Not to be a religious Christian, but to be a practical Christian, and then prepare for the second coming of the Lord Jesus because the Lord will send us to manage all that He has.

If God sends us to manage all that He has, then we will practice hard while we are still on earth, so that when the Lord Jesus comes again, He will also lead us to manage all things. If you cannot manage at this time, what will you be able to manage in the future? If you are a lazy worm, a lazy egg, what will God use you for in the future? Christians must integrate their faith into life, do things practically, and that is called faithfulness.

Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 24:45-51)

What will happen to hypocrites? They will become a brood of vipers. How can a brood of vipers escape the punishment of hell?

Conclusion

Brothers and sisters, let us be faithful and wise servants, not ignorant, and not think that the day of the Lord Jesus' return is still far away, thinking that we have time to eat, drink, play, and be merry. What should we do? We should give food to our brothers and sisters at the proper time. We should love God,牧养神的群羊 (mù yǎng shén de qún yáng, shepherd God's flock), and feed them with food at the proper time, so that they can grow healthily and become God's people. This is a key part of building God's glorious church.

Why do the false Christs, false prophets, and the great signs and wonders mentioned earlier deceive so many people? Because they only show great signs and wonders, but not for the purpose of building up the body of Jesus Christ, not牧养神的群羊 (mù yǎng shén de qún yáng, shepherd God's flock), feeding them with food at the proper time, doing practical things, and leading the sheep to prosperity.

If we do this, the master will send us, these faithful and wise servants, to manage all that He has. If we do not do this, but are just like a hired worker who is not faithful when the master is away, what will you use to give an account in the future? You are a pastor, a Christian leader, but in the end, you are severely punished by God and are guilty with the hypocrites.

May God bless you all!
