In Deuteronomy 11, what do you think it's about? I believe the theme is setting blessings and curses before you. Many people have told me, Pastor, a person's life is already arranged by God. I say no, it is the result of our choices. Why? Because God doesn't really like to decide your destiny; God likes you to understand His word, to set the words of blessings and curses before you, and then you choose. Smart people make smart choices, foolish people make foolish choices. The result of a person's life is the result of a lifetime of choices, and I believe that a person's choices are made according to their inner value system.

Still Believing in God in Despair

I think a person has their own value system, what you think is valuable or not valuable. Jasmine, who is sitting in front of me today, suffered from depression some years ago. In 2012, she called me, I didn't answer, I never miss a call, so I called back. When I called back, I learned that this child had depression. She made four calls to the local church, and the response from the local church was very surprising to me: Our church is not open today, Our church gatherings are only open at fixed times, and they end at fixed times as well. Come back when it's open. These were the responses from those churches.

When I called back, do you know what I was thinking? I longed to be a blessing to this child, I longed for this child to come out of bondage. To make a long story short, after a period of prayer, the situation got worse and worse, and one day it reached the point of collapse. Her parents hugged the child and cried bitterly, all陷 in a state of despair. But they made a choice to come to the church to find me. The day she came to the church to find me, I prayed for her, but there was no sign of deliverance at all, it was quite painful and quite desperate. In Yantai, I met a sister who came to me with great faith. When I touched those two wooden legs, that feeling of despair came back to me, very desperate, but thank God these wooden legs are delivered today. The God of might, her wooden legs are loosened today.

In 2012, I was really desperate at that time, that despair was even more desperate than today. I took Jasmine and said, let's go down and have something to eat, I'm very hungry, and you're very hungry too. As I walked out, I suddenly mustered up a kind of courage. What is this courage? This courage is that I want to completely cast out this spirit of depression. I said, Jasmine, you will be delivered today. Her mother was right next to me, even though she didn't believe in God. The reason why Jasmine is able to live a healthy life today is because I had God at that time.

The reason why this sister's wooden legs could be loosened is because I have a God. I know how I serve my God. What is required here is this, again and again, to love the Lord your God, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul. I tell you frankly, I absolutely love our God and serve Him with all my heart and with all my soul. You know, the conversation between Jesus and Peter is very interesting. Jesus said, Do you love Me? Peter said, Lord, I love You. Jesus said, Feed My sheep. Every time I read this passage, in fact, these words are repeated three times.

Serving God with All My Heart and Strength

In these past years, I have been serving my God with all my heart and strength. Because I love my God, I don't know what tiredness is, not that my body doesn't feel tired, but because I see these brothers and sisters under the control of the devil, I am determined to shepherd God's flock, and the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. So today, everyone must know for sure that many people are delivered through my hands not because of anything else, but because there is a person who loves God. Why do I choose this way? Because Moses had already set the words of blessing and cursing before me, and I read the Bible very carefully. Because God said so, I set the words of blessing and cursing before you, and today it depends on your choice. I do according to Moses' words in the Bible, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. What does it mean? It means to shepherd God's flock well, to build up God's church, and to deliver many people. What is the result? The result is that I chose blessing. Do you think I'm stupid? I never do things that don't have a return. I choose to serve our God with all my heart and strength, to love the Lord our God, and the reward I receive is so rich. Sometimes I see those people who do not serve our God with all their heart and soul and strength, the God who brought us out of the land of Egypt and delivered us with His mighty arm, yet when they are rich, they are unwilling to serve Him. How foolish is that!

You may have a thousand and one reasons to say, I this and that, if you have love for God in your heart, all the problems are not problems, do you believe it? Why am I telling you this today? I long to encourage the brothers and sisters among us to imitate my service and become a blessing to many people. How wonderful is that! Do you think we will lack blessings if we become a blessing to many people? We lack nothing, we lack no good thing. If you are a farmer, do you want God to send rain on your land at the proper time so that you can have a harvest? I dream of it! Then choose blessing. It is so sad for a person's life not to understand blessing and cursing, it is a matter of life and death.

He will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil. He will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied. (Deuteronomy 11:14-15)

Disobeying God's Word: A Curse

I can tell many sad stories, in the blink of an eye, I tell you I am fifty-four years old. When I had a reunion with my elementary school classmates, I counted the fifty-two students with my elementary school teacher, and six people had already died. I hope one thing happens to me, that at the moment I breathe my last, I can say to God, God, in my days on earth, I chose blessing and not cursing. Today, I was in the car with my elementary school classmate, driving forward and talking. One of our classmate's family members, his colleague, disappeared one day, and later it was discovered that he had been killed and his body was buried in the mountains. Is that fun? It's not fun.

If you pay attention to the commands I am giving you today and love the LORD your God and serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil. (Deuteronomy 11:27-28)

When disaster comes upon people, what do they use to resist it? One of my elementary school classmates was beaten and broke his leg in the mountains and later died. Is that a fun way to die? When disaster falls on people, I tell you, it is because people lack blessing. I tell you what blessing is, blessing is that what you do, the road you walk, all have God's protection. What is cursing? Cursing is the absence of God's protection, evil spirits attack you at will, and God allows them to attack you. Take some Christians for example, they are rich but they do not serve the Lord their God with a joyful and willing heart, so God lets them serve the enemies whom God sends to attack them, this is what God said.

I long for the brothers and sisters in our church to understand these words, don't tell me that God, aren't you a God of blessing? God both blesses and curses, God both sends blessings and sends disasters. Do you understand? If we put the true God aside and worship other things as gods and serve them, you will suffer disaster. This is not what I said, this is what the Bible says.

I long for the brothers and sisters in our church to always remember these words, never to deviate from the way that God has commanded us to go and serve other gods that we have never known. Can money help you? No, for example, Jasmine had many disputes with her mother. Why the disputes? Because one is willing to choose the path of blessing, which is to love the Lord her God with all her heart, with all her soul, and with all her strength, this is our Jasmine. One does not love her God, has seen with her own eyes her child snatched back from the hand of the devil, yet is still unwilling to serve the God who once saved her daughter, and goes to serve other gods. What gods? Perhaps the god of Mammon, perhaps the god of the Tower of Babel, perhaps any other god. But today, brothers and sisters, I think, may God have mercy on her parents because of Jasmine's love for God. But the question comes, what kind of choices do we brothers and sisters make?

Choosing to be a Person Who Obeys God's Word

What is Deuteronomy 11:1-7 about? It is about those of us who have experienced the power of God. You shall therefore love the Lord your God, and keep His charge, His statutes, His judgments, and His commandments always. And know this day—for I am not speaking with your children who have not known and who have not seen the discipline of the Lord your God, His greatness, His mighty hand and His outstretched arm—

After saying so much, only you have seen all the great acts of the Lord which He did. Did Sister Molly's mother see all the great things that the Lord did? Are you willing to sow seeds of blessing or seeds of curse? Look at what I have experienced. Do you think I am foolish? The world may think my choice is foolish, but I choose according to God's word: I love and serve God with all my heart, soul, strength, and mind. I am truly grateful to God. In the past, when I spoke, it was often with tears of sorrow, but today, when I speak, it is with tears of joy, because I see a new generation of leaders being raised up, who emulate my service, serving the brothers and sisters below without counting the cost.

The choice we make today is a very profitable one! What is better than God's blessing? God's blessing not only meets your needs in this life but also brings everything that the world cannot give you.

Choice is Important, Because Loving God Makes Everything We Do Prosperous

My classmate was very distressed to see his old father suffering before his death. Why do people choose the path of disaster? You may say that birth, old age, sickness, and death are natural laws, but must death be so torturous? I have a dream that when I leave this world, I will still be serving my God. Do you want such a blessing? Then start longing for it today. Why do some people feel that serving God is hard and calculating? Because they do not know that loving God is a blessed path. Our God is very rich; He owns the universe and everything in heaven and on earth. Is it a disadvantage to love Him?

I often say that because I love God, everything I do prospers. I am very moved to see with my own eyes the Lord stretching out His mighty arm to deliver us from the dominion of the devil. Shouldn't we make the right choice? Keeping and obeying God's commandments will surely bring blessings. The greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind. If you do not keep and obey, it is a curse. Whatever choice you make will have its consequences.

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. I have great comfort. I sleep very little every day, but others see me as very energetic, as if I am ageless. That is a blessing, the work of the Holy Spirit, so I am very grateful to God. God not only remembers me but also remembers my mother, allowing her to live healthily to this day, so that we can serve God without worries.

From the time I started working until today, unless I intentionally do not answer, I answer every phone call. I do many of the church's tasks because I serve God wholeheartedly and without complaint. Today, seeing everyone blessed, I am very happy. I am glad I made the right choice. There is no richer reward than this. The story of Li Si that I once told, he observed that the rats in the toilet lived hard lives, while the rats in the granary lived leisurely lives. They were both rats, but because of different choices, the results of their lives were different. Today, we can choose the kingdom of God or the world. Never forget that God is a God of blessing and also a God of cursing. If people remove the curse and choose blessing, how wonderful their life will be.

Becoming a Blessing to All Nations

Today, I will tell you something very interesting. My mother is 83 years old. I installed Alipay for her and applied for a bank card. She bought mutton skewers online for the first time using Eleme. I pondered which God was the greatest, and then I walked into the church myself and met this God. From the day I met God, I knew I had found a treasure. I read the Bible eagerly and implemented everything I could. Because I serve my God with all my heart, soul, and mind, I am blessed and am a very wealthy pastor. Although I am not perfect, God can testify to how I serve Him. God is choosing such people, and I hope we are all such people.

I will tell you a sad story. A young man asked me to contact his pastor, so I called him, but after six calls, no one answered or returned the call. Later, he finally answered, but it was accidentally touched in his pocket, and no one answered me. I was thinking, if it was a call for help from the sheep he was pastoring, how would he be responsible? I have a request for the brothers and sisters, which is to emulate me in serving every phone call that comes in.

One night, a boy called me. He called me before jumping off a building. It was past twelve o'clock at night, and I drove for more than an hour, from the east side of Singapore to the west side, and found this child in a dark place, drove away the spirit of death for him, and then he did not jump.

Your customer service must surpass the customer service of multinational corporations. It is possible that the call is made during the day, or it may be made at night. Can we serve every call that comes in well? Shepherd God's sheep, love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul.

As for whether this child will believe in the Lord well in the future, that is his choice, and we cannot bind him. The person God is looking for is the one who wants to be blessed, the one who serves God with all his heart and soul. I don't want anything from you, I only want to make a smart choice in God's presence, which is to be blessed. What grace that is! What is better than being blessed?

Choose According to Your Own Faith

Before, I went to visit a couple, they are not the people I pastor, but my good friends. They serve God very hard, and I plan to give them two thousand dollars as an offering. Two thousand dollars is not a small amount, but it is because of the love of God. Choice is very important, I often struggle with choices, because serving is also very tiring, and I really want to rest, who doesn't know tiredness.

One day, a young sister had a high fever. The night before, I slept for three hours, and that day I served all day. In the evening, I prayed with a sister, from ten o'clock to more than twelve o'clock, after the fever subsided, and then it relapsed, and it continued until six o'clock, when a sister woke up, she continued to pray for this young sister for me, and then I fell down and fell asleep in a second. Everyone knows tiredness, but we must know what our choice is. Not sleeping beauty sleep will not make us worse, because beauty is also within the scope of God's blessing, and good health is also within the scope of God's blessing. Shepherding God's flock is the best choice, suffering disaster is not a choice, you choose according to your faith. If your faith is not great, don't blame yourself, but you know the reward for your choice, you may regret it, because you chose a choice with a very low return.

If you serve God with all your heart, soul, and strength, you will not complain. The results of a person's life are all in God's hands. If you still don't understand, read this chapter again carefully.
