Obedience to God’s Word Leads to Survival

Our brothers and sisters can carefully observe those around them, observing how they live. For instance, this time when I returned home, I observed classmates with cancer, classmates' husbands with cancer, in-laws with cancer; there are many people with cancer, to the extent that having cancer has become quite a “popular” thing. I think these people with cancer are all good people, but being good or bad does not prevent one from getting cancer.

I carefully pondered why this is so. There is only one reason: If you know God and obey His word, you will live. If you do not seek or ponder God's will and inexplicably violate the laws created by God, then cancer finds you, it can only be described as a sad thing. Therefore, we must remember: to know, to remember that Jehovah is God!

God’s Word Gives Us Wisdom

Keep them and do them, for that will be your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who, when they hear all these statutes, will say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’ (Deuteronomy 4:6)

People who do not understand how to live, nor examine how to live, but live according to their own ideas – that is the greatest sorrow. My favorite passage to share with people is: From the age of 18, I was already tired of living. Then I kept seeking, seeking for 10 years, and at 28, I knew God, and then I understood that God's word gives us wisdom. People originally do not know how to live, and not knowing how to live, they do not seek – that is a tragedy!

I thank God that from childhood to adulthood, I have been quite smooth. Most people suffer more than I do, but even so, I still sought the meaning of life. Like many who suffer a lot but do not seek, that is truly a tragedy! I see some of my classmates, then share with them, and even perform miracles before them, attesting that Jehovah is God, but they are still unwilling to seek.

Let me give a very interesting example: A classmate invited me to his home. He suffered from synovitis. I asked him if he had any “devoted things” in his possession. He said he had a “Pixiu.” He brought it to me, and after giving it to me, I said, “Is there another one?” He asked curiously, “How do you know?” I smiled and said, “How could I not know?” So he brought out another large “Pixiu.” He hoped the “Pixiu” could help him win at mahjong, but he did not know that the “Pixiu” could cause blood and fluid accumulation in his knee, making him limp. He gave me both “Pixiu,” so I put them aside and asked him to put his leg forward, and I prayed for him. In one minute, his leg completely recovered, and he could jump around.

Having seen God’s healing in this way, he should have wisdom, should know that Jehovah is God, should know that the God I worship is powerful. But the next day, the illness returned because he put the Pixiu back! I think it is such a tragedy that people do not know that God’s word is wisdom. The next day, instead of thinking about throwing away the “Pixiu,” he thought about going to see a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner somewhere to apply plasters.

Everyone must know that violating God’s word will inevitably bear the curse of violating God’s word. Remember, in this world, there are only two things that people must know: blessing and curse. Obeying God’s word is blessing, and violating God’s word is curse. God’s word gives us wisdom; reading God’s word, we know how to live!

My classmate’s husband told me that there are two most important things in a person’s life: birth and death. I thought it made some sense, but did he understand these two things, birth and death? Without God’s word, people cannot understand these two things. I said, Old classmate, you study life and death, I study death until I die, and I study death even after death. Nothing is more important than God's word. Our church must be the most outstanding church in God’s word, be a top student in God’s word, be an outstanding Christian in God’s word. This time when I returned to my hometown and told people that I had written thirty-some books, they were not surprised at all because I was a top student since I was a child. I read God’s word better than others because I am meticulous. Truly know that man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of God. I think we can get to where we are today because we have diligently examined according to God’s word.

God’s Word is Systematic

You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you. (Deuteronomy 4:2)

Moses wrote this book three thousand and five hundred years ago, but six hundred years later, Isaiah also wrote the Book of Isaiah, and after a period of time, Ezekiel wrote the Book of Ezekiel. Is that adding or not adding? According to human understanding, it must be adding. Moses said not to add or subtract, but Isaiah and Ezekiel added, and in the New Testament, Peter, Paul, and John all added. So is it adding or not adding? I tell you, it is not adding because they are all within a system. What is this system? It is to know that Jehovah is God, to know that man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of God!

The complete system built within these every words is actually not added to. Speaking words within God's logical system is called not adding. But in today's Christian environment, how many have established a logical system? Not many. So in our midst, you must establish God's logical system. How to build it is actually not difficult. As long as the main axis of the Bible is straightened out, it is a logical system. Many people like to take things out of context, like to deviate from the main axis of the Bible to find things. For example, Genesis 38, they say it is Judah's fall, I say it is Tamar with a mission. Why do I interpret the Bible this way? Because I interpret the Bible according to the system of the Bible. Their kind of interpretation is called adding, my kind of interpretation is not called adding because what I say is within God's logical system.

Know that if you practice traditional Chinese medicine, the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine is the logical system of traditional Chinese medicine. You must do scholarship within this system. For example, the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine says that bad bones are a kidney problem, the kidney governs the bones. What is the relationship between bones and kidneys? But in traditional Chinese medicine, this is a system. Traditional Chinese medicine is a complete system, while Western medicine is divided into departments. Bones belong to orthopedics, and kidneys belong to internal medicine, which is a big difference. It also says that the liver governs the tendons and opens into the eyes. If the eyes and tendons are not good, it has to do with the liver. This is a system.

So our brothers and sisters must also understand that the Bible is also a complete logical system! Everyone must begin to explore this logical system of the Bible. Last Saturday, I talked about the logical system that we have inherited and developed. I straightened out the main axis of the Bible at once, forming our “core values of faith,” which I think are very useful. Many people used to see if you really believed in the Lord using the Nicene Creed. Later, I found that many people who could recite the Nicene Creed also did not work and ended up in Eastern Lightning. Also, the Apostles' Creed does not represent a logical system and is not very useful for a complete logical system. Where is the problem with these useless things? The content of these creeds did not establish the complete logical system of the Bible!

God’s word is systematic, cannot be added to or subtracted from. John also wrote in Revelation that nothing should be added to or taken away. This is very interesting. We can only solve problems by completely finding God’s logical system: For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. This lays the groundwork for us: you must keep and do God’s word!

I graduated from Beihang University. I am proud of China's development in aerospace. To build anything, you must keep and follow a complete system. To make an airplane fly, you must understand aerodynamics plus all the complete technologies needed for the airplane. Even the coating on the outer layer of the airplane must have breakthroughs. China has a type of aircraft that travels at five times the speed of sound. Do you know the surface temperature of an aircraft traveling at five times the speed of sound? It can reach 200-300 degrees Celsius. We must study what materials can withstand this high temperature. To build a supersonic aircraft, there must be breakthroughs in many technologies and materials. Any one of them that cannot be broken through cannot be built. This is called a complete system.

Keep and Do God’s Word

To keep and do God’s word, we must understand God’s complete system. Today, let me briefly sort out the system for everyone: The church is God’s army. Only God’s army can establish God’s kingdom. When God’s kingdom comes down, it must drive out the demons in this land in order to establish God’s glory. The kingdom of the devil and the kingdom of God are irreconcilable and absolutely cannot coexist. Our brothers and sisters must know that keeping and doing God’s word, the complete system, is the logical system of warfare for God’s army. Victory in warfare will obtain God’s promise. Why do many people not get God’s promise? They have not done things within the logical system that God wants them to do.

Some time ago, I met a Christian who said that the pastors of the church are so poor, so I have to make money to support these pastors, and asked me if I could pray for his money. I said, There is no such thing as praying for money in the Bible. This is the tragedy of not having a complete system. When does the Bible say that you have to make money to support God? Can our God not support His pastors? So we must know that this kind of person is not living in the path of keeping and doing God’s word.

See, I have taught you statutes and rules, as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should do them in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. Keep them and do them, for that will be your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who, when they hear all these statutes, will say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’ (Deuteronomy 4:5-6).

Know that keeping and doing God's word is based on God's word makes us wise! Will having wisdom make you live well? Yes, it will. So reading God's word and keeping and doing it can lead to survival, and living a long time, living well, keeping and doing it can inherit the land. If you think that you can live well by making money with your own hands, you try it, desperately making money and not living well, a hole is waiting for you to make money, it is a bottomless pit that can never be filled. But obeying will definitely live well.

Look at my classmate who got cancer. The first day I went to the hospital to see him in the intensive care unit, and the next day I went to the funeral home to see him. I was very moved and had no chance to preach the gospel to him. Whenever I see such things, I feel sad in my heart, hoping to preach the gospel of God to him so that he can survive on earth. No matter whether he is a teacher or doing any kind of job, I have to tell him to read the Bible and understand the word of God. Our country advocates two studies, one doing, you have to serve the people, and we also tell you to serve the people. Two studies, one doing, many of my classmates are party representatives.

We must be clear that reading God's word and serving the people are not contradictory at all. Doing God's word can lead to survival, can inherit the land, and can live a long time. Some people inexplicably obey God's word, some people inexplicably violate God's word. People who obey God's word live well. Once, I was eating with classmates, and one of the female classmates lived quite well because she was open-minded. She did not discern good and evil. She inexplicably kept and did God's word, and as a result, she really lived well! Some people do not keep and do God's word, like to discern good and evil, have a very strong sense of right and wrong, and their temper becomes very big when stimulated, which leads to different diseases.

Be Careful, Be Very Careful, Be Extraordinarily Careful

Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children (Deuteronomy 4:9).

Therefore watch yourselves very carefully. For you saw no form of any kind the day the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the fire (Deuteronomy 4:15).

We must know that God's word is systematic, God's word is our wisdom, we know that we must do God's word, but we must also be careful! It is impossible to do scholarship without a rigorous academic attitude. I am really grateful to God that I am in a working-class family. My parents were both literate through literacy campaigns. They did not go to school in that era, but went to night school. If my parents had been educated and had read books, they would have been amazing. They are really not stupid. Is it possible for them to be stupid if they gave birth to a son like me who is so smart?

Have a cautious attitude, be careful to build God's church. In such a working-class family, I studied and went to college. In our era, only three percent of people could go to college. Among ten thousand people, probably only one person could go to college in Beijing. That was really not easy. I tell you, I developed a rigorous academic attitude. On the first day I entered Beihang University, a plane crashed because a rivet was not properly installed. Decades have passed, thirty-six years from 1981 to 2017. Thirty-six years have passed, and this rivet is still in my mind, which means to be careful, to be extraordinarily careful.

God’s word makes us soar on wings like eagles. If you want to live well, you have to be like an eagle. You have to fly up. It would be troublesome if you flew up and could not come down. If you are an eagle, and the parts are broken, the rivets are broken, then you will die without a burial place, you will be smashed to pieces! It's flying high and falling hard! If we want to fly high, we must rigorously build our lives and rigorously keep and do God's word.

Don't be careless. If you deal with it casually, it will deal with you. Try to deceive it sometime. Let's say when you take the first subject of the driver's license test, if you take it casually, then you will definitely come back casually. Who are you going to reason with? You must treat it rigorously. Because some time ago, I went to the vehicle management office to change my driver's license. They said you have to take the first subject test. Then I treated it very rigorously.

I am a top student-level character. I treated the first subject very rigorously. As a result, I had no mistakes when I reached fifty points. The proctor said, What are you going to do? Are you going to get a perfect score, not even one mistake? I had not made a mistake even after taking more than eighty questions. He asked again, What are you going to do? Have you memorized all of them? Are you going to get a perfect score? As a result, when I reached the ninety-first question, forget about those nine questions, 91 points is enough! I was forced to submit. I said, what does this mean? It meant that a person must have a rigorous attitude in doing things.

Today, our church must establish this attitude. Whether you have read books or have not read books, you must establish a rigorous attitude. Don't be careless. If you deal with it casually, it will also deal with you, right? Today, I am crying out to you to testify, just to tell you to be careful, to be extraordinarily careful, to guard our hearts. Our God is a jealous God. Don't think that you can treat that thing casually. Today, there are too many people who are casual Christians.

Love the Lord Your God with All Your Heart, Soul, and Strength

I often encounter Christians who have a superficial understanding of God's Word. Some sisters might sit together chatting: What year were you saved? I was saved in 2012. Oh, congratulations, you can go to Heaven when you die. When I hear this, I am puzzled. How do you know you will go to Heaven? What if, after death, you open the door and find yourself in a pot of boiling oil, as I just mentioned? I'm sorry to say, but you must be extremely cautious in your attitude towards God's Word.

You might say, Pastor, I haven't had much education. If you haven't had much education, God will treat you according to your attitude as someone with limited education. I have been educated and am an academic achiever, so God will treat me as such. Because you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength, you will surely find what you seek.

Many years ago, I led a Bible study group. There was an elderly woman in her 70s who was illiterate and had never attended school. During that time, she was able to read the entire Bible. That is what I call a willing person, isn't it? If a 70-year-old woman with a willing heart can do it, why can't someone in their 20s or 30s? Of course, they can! My mother, in her 80s, can use a smartphone. This time when I went home, I had her join a group video call using her phone. She used it very well and found a comfortable place to sit down and join the gathering. When people around her saw this, they would ask, How old are you? Over 80? And you're using this gadget? My mother would laugh at those using old-fashioned mobile phones with ringtones as loud as trains. But I suppose it’s not quite right to laugh at them. Still, even at 80, one can use a computer, can't they?

What am I trying to say? Whether you are an academic achiever or not, you can all be diligent. If you are diligent, you can solve problems. If you are diligent, God will know you are a diligent person.

Learn to Fear God

You must learn to fear God. You need to know that a lack of reverence is a serious issue. Fearing God is a very important concept. Later, I also discovered that when children fear their parents, they are not afraid of many things. If they do not respect their parents, they are often anxious and frazzled when they are out. I also found that if a dog does not recognize its owner as its master, it becomes a mad dog, constantly on edge. But if it knows it has a master, it is not anxious. As long as it fears its master, the rest is easy.

The problem is that we must fear God. Once you fear God, what else do you have to fear? You will fear nothing. Later, I discovered that those who are fearful generally do not fear God. They are afraid of everything except God. It's strange: those who fear God are afraid of nothing else. You ask me what I fear? I fear nothing except God – that is, to fear God. We must have reverence because our God is a jealous God. Even today, when I occasionally sin, I tremble in my heart, fearing God. Today, brothers and sisters, we must all have a heart that reveres God.

Where are the Ten Commandments that God gave us? Verse 13: He declared to you his covenant, the Ten Commandments, which he commanded you to follow and then wrote them on two stone tablets. Does everyone still know the Ten Commandments today? If not, go back and look for them. The Ten Commandments are very important, and one of them commands us to honor our parents, so that we may live long in the land.

Today, I see God's faithfulness very clearly. I was born in 1963 in a rural village. Why was I born in a rural village in 1963? My mother was a very dedicated member of the Communist Party. But in 1962, my grandfather fell ill, and in six months, my mother spent what amount? We borrowed 2,000 RMB, which is equivalent to borrowing 500,000 RMB today. After borrowing that 2,000 RMB, she would never be able to repay it in her lifetime. So, she chose to be sent to the countryside, and the government gave her 2,000 RMB in subsidies to repay the debt.

Why did she owe that much debt? Because she honored my grandfather. I must say, my mother honored my grandfather, and my father honored my maternal grandmother. They were both very filial children. Later, I found that now that my mother is old, in her 80s, she is living such a good life because her children are filial and able to take care of her. Why? Because she inexplicably kept and obeyed the Ten Commandments. These Ten Commandments are incredible, and everyone should read them carefully. In old age, you will be blessed. God is a jealous God, and this is a very important concept.

Examine Whether God Is the True God

Ask now about the former days, long before your time, from the day God created human beings on the earth; ask from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything so great ever happened, or has anything like it ever been heard of? Has any other people heard the voice of God speaking out of fire, as you have, and lived? Has any god ever tried to take for himself one nation out of another nation, by testing, by signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, or by great and awesome deeds, like all the things the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes? You were shown these things so that you might know that the Lord is God; besides him there is no other. (Deuteronomy 4:32-35)

You must examine. How many of us have not experienced God? We have all been rescued by God's mighty arm. We once lived under a curse. Today, by God's grace and mercy, God has rescued us from the curse. And we still need to examine, examine what? Examine whether God is God. The God we believe in allows us to examine Him. This gospel is the power of God. If you believe in the Lord among us, you will see the mighty arm of God manifested among us. If you still do not know that the Lord is God and cannot remember that the Lord is God, then you are truly numb.

Today, we must all examine. We must be rigorous, cautious, and reverent, but we must still examine, examine what? Examine whether He is the true God. If He is the true God, He can truly save us. The one we believe in today is the Almighty God. I ask you, if He is the Almighty God, holding the universe in His hands, then those trivial matters of yours, even if they seem like mountains to you, are mere trifles to God. Do we have problems? We have no problems at all.

Nothing Is Impossible with God

Everyone, don't worry, and don't think it's an impossible task. You only need to examine to know that if the Israelites were in the land of Egypt, in that place of slavery, watched over by whips, their lives destined for labor, God was able to bring them out of there with a mighty hand, with signs and wonders, and with the ten plagues upon the Egyptians. I ask you, what problem cannot be solved? Every problem can be solved. You must examine it.

Some time ago, I felt that China had truly progressed. I took my foreign driver's license to exchange it for a Chinese one. There was a special counter for handling this procedure, and it was completed very quickly. Then, I applied for a visa with my foreign passport, and the service was also excellent. I must say that China is very advanced. I think many people abroad always say that China is bad, this is not good, that is not good. But I think China will become an extremely powerful country in the next twenty years. It's great to be Chinese! I posted a message on my WeChat Moments, saying that China is great and has progressed. As a result, my classmate said, Not yet. He thought I was working in Beijing. He said Beijing is okay, but not our hometown. I said, I'm taking care of this in our hometown, and it is great! Then another classmate wrote, Because he has Jesus Christ to protect him. What I want to say is that you must examine!

After examination, you will know that our God is so good! Things that they think are impossible, we can handle so smoothly. I think it's really great. It's really great to have God. Of course, we also cannot rule out that the service in various fields in China has greatly improved. In the past, if you couldn't find someone to help you, could things be done? It was very difficult, but now it has really progressed.

Those Who Trust in God Lack No Good Thing

Whatever you do, wherever you go, there is God's grace. A person who trusts in God can be a non-corrupt official because he lacks nothing. What does he need to be greedy for? He doesn't need to be greedy. So today, brothers and sisters, you must examine whether He is God and whether He can truly provide for all your needs in life. Do you still need to rely on corruption and crime to satisfy your needs? Those who are corrupt and commit crimes are all in prison. When they come out of prison, they are all sick. It's so miserable, really miserable. So today, brothers and sisters, I tell you that those who trust in God lack no good thing. If those who trust in God lack no good thing, then serve the people and become a blessing to this generation, blessing many people.

Those Who Seek God Will Surely Find Him

But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deuteronomy 4:29)

Thank God, I started seeking at the age of 18, but I came to know God at the age of 28. It's not too late, actually. I'm telling you, I've lived a really good life for these several decades. That is to say, people must seek. After seeking, you will know that the Lord is God, and you will know that the gospel we believe in is truly a blessed gospel, a blessed piece of good news.

I think seeking is an attitude. If you do not seek, if you do not have an attitude of seeking, and rely on guesswork and blind faith, that is not a way to solve problems. So today, brothers and sisters, we must begin to have a seeking heart. If you seek, you will find.

Those Who Do Not Obey Will Perish

People are very noble and should not worship idols. Worshipping idols leads to destruction. You only need to examine, and you can examine both the positive and the negative. You see those who suddenly develop cancer and die for no apparent reason. There must be a problem. The main problem is worshipping idols. Chapter 4, verse 25 talks about worshipping idols, and chapter 4, verses 16 to 19 also talk about worshipping idols.

If you know how noble people are, is it not a tragedy to kneel down and worship all things on earth? You were originally a very transcendent and noble person, but now you are living as a very humble and lowly person, worshipping idols. You tell me, which is more important, a pig or a person? Of course, a person is more important. Isn't the life of a pig just for slaughter and meat? All things on earth were created for people. Isn't it great to be human?

From a young age, we learn that people can create tools and have creative abilities. So today, brothers and sisters, we must know that those who do not obey are worshipping idols. Worshipping idols is really deadly. A few days ago, a good friend of my classmate was possessed by a demon. He was tormented by alternating hot and cold spells. He called me, and I said, Okay, I'll lead you in prayer. I discovered that there were idols in his house. I said, Can you throw away those things you worship in your house? No, I can't. They were handed down from my ancestors. Then you can keep them slowly. I can also lead you in prayer. Don't you know, after I led him in prayer, he was really better that day. He was better for one day, and the next day he relapsed. That's for sure. This worshipping of idols is necessarily destined to perish. This is God's Word, this is our God's command. So there are many places where we do not obey. Read the Ten Commandments carefully. You must set aside your time as holy and offer it to God. You cannot worship idols; you can only worship your God alone.

If you treat your work as an idol, your work will become the tool of your destruction; if you treat your business as an idol, living and existing for it, then your business will become your curse and will become the tool of your destruction.

I have a very good classmate. I will borrow one of his sentences. He asked, Old classmate, do you know why I use an eagle as my profile picture? I replied, The eagle represents rejuvenation, right? He said, Yes, when eagles reach 40 years old, they use their claws to pull out their beaks and regrow a new set, living for another 40 years. So an eagle can live for more than 70 or 80 years. The last 40 years are rejuvenation, living again. They pull out all the feathers on their bodies and grow a new set. It's a painful process. He said, I use the eagle to symbolize that for the first 40 years, I serve the people, and for the next 40 years, I will serve myself. I just encourage him to read God's Word. Does he really understand God's Word? People can also live according to this logic, and we will see what the results of living this way will be. What will the outcome be? I don't know.

Live a Beautiful Life by Relying on God

To summarize: You must know that the Lord is God. Besides Him, there is no other true God. So, what I mentioned earlier, whether it is keeping and obeying or whatever, is because He is the true God. So I am very fortunate that I have come to know this God in my days on earth, and because I have come to know this God, I can live a beautiful life.

Some people think, I need to get my beauty sleep. Some people think, Eating and drinking should be regular. Some people think, I need to exercise every day. Actually, exercising is okay. For example, I have a classmate who is very active in exercising and swims one kilometer every day. But I know what I live by. I live by God. My life is neither regular, nor do I follow those health maintenance methods, such as protecting the liver and heart, but my body is still very good. Why? Because I live by serving my God.

I live for God, and I long to be a blessing to all nations and peoples on earth. This is the concept within me, and where does my concept come from? My concept comes from the Word of God. Only by coming from God's Word can you live a good life. So today, brothers and sisters, you must know that besides Him, there is no other true God. No matter why you are living today, after listening to my sharing, can you begin to live by the Word of God, keeping and obeying the Word of God? I tell you, it's hard not to live a beautiful life. You will surely live prosperously, and you will surely live beautifully.

I often find that many people live well today not because of anything else, but because I have taught you the Word of God. You trust in Him and live well, so many people actually owe God a favor. God makes you live well, so you must continue to keep and obey the Word of God, and live according to the grace and mercy God has given you. May God bless everyone!
