【Course】201 Course - Lesson 3 Part 1 - Section 2 - Be an Overcoming Disciple!

2017-05-20 10,661 201 Course - From Seeker to Disciple

Foreword

The faith in Christ Jesus has never just made us believers, but always disciples. What is a disciple? A disciple is one who imitates Jesus and follows in His footsteps. Previously, we thought, I've been baptized, I believe in the Lord, and therefore I am saved! Saved from what? Far from it! Some even propagate the idea: Once saved, always saved; once saved, forever saved... This is all nonsense! Today, I want to bring to everyone a completely new understanding of faith in Christ Jesus.

There are countless examples in the Scripture to prove this. For instance, the Israelites left Egypt. Did they believe in the Lord? They did. But only for a short while, then they stopped believing. Eventually, they all perished in the wilderness. They were the unsuccessful Christians.

Reflection Questions

– Have you ever had a beautiful dream? Was your dream realized? Why does it seem like it was realized, but actually it wasn't?

– Where do dreams come from? Do they come from desire? What is your greatest desire?

– What is the greatest persecution and injustice you have ever encountered? If it were now, how would you imitate Joseph's thinking and be a disciple who does not discern good and evil?

– Looking at Joseph's life and reflecting on your own, what choices should we make?

Discerning Good and Evil Makes Life Difficult

One by one, unsuccessful Christians perished in the wilderness; they were all people who displeased God. So, brothers and sisters, be steadfast in your faith! A Christian's faith must be a persistent faith. It is definitely not the kind of faith that declares, I believe, I am saved, and it's all done! We must strive throughout our lives – this is the faith in Christ Jesus revealed in the Scripture.

We Christians must be disciples of the Lord. There is a considerable distance between being a believer and being a disciple. Even after you believe in the Lord, you will still encounter many bad things. This is not because of anything else, but because the thoughts and intentions in your heart are still somewhat like the devil.

Many Christians have thoughts and intentions that are very much like the devil. Their logic system is still like Cain's and Lamech's, easily wounded. Today, I encourage brothers and sisters to come out of being wounded, because being wounded itself is clear evidence of discerning good and evil.

A person discerns good and evil because they are constantly pondering what is right and what is wrong, entangled in these things. How could you do such a thing to me? They don't realize that many things happen either because of the choices of our thoughts and intentions, which is God manifesting His anger in us, or because our thoughts and intentions cause us to feel wounded. That is discerning good and evil.

The result of discerning good and evil is that we live very painfully. The result of discerning good and evil is that it makes us not believe in God. When a person does not believe in God, that is a very serious matter. When a person does not believe, God's power cannot be manifested in them. Because they are wounded, and a wounded person is not a healthy person. A person who is not healthy cannot lead a healthy team. Therefore, we must all come out of being wounded.

Last week, we talked about Cain and Lamech, who were easily wounded and easily discerned good and evil. Let's look at a positive example: Joseph. We must all begin to understand one thing: Why did Joseph become the prime minister of Egypt? It was because he was in a healthy state internally. He really had no reason not to be in pain, but he chose not to be.

Joseph was a remarkable person. I think the Scripture likes to use storytelling to teach us certain things. Our God knows very well that people especially like to hear stories, and they remember the stories they hear. Like me, when I listened to sermons in church more than 20 years ago, I forgot many of the principles, but a wonderful story told by someone is still imprinted in my mind.

Our God knows very well that people are more likely to remember stories than principles. For example, I have been telling you not to discern good and evil until I am blue in the face, but you still discern good and evil. But when I tell the story of Cain, that if you cannot discern good and evil, and if you discern good and evil, you will be like Cain, and Cain suffered from mental illness and was very miserable, everyone remembers it. Then I tell the story of Joseph, how he was betrayed, how he was put in prison, but he was not wounded and did not discern good and evil, and then he became the prime minister of Egypt.

Learning, Imitating, and Passing On

In my sermons, I use the story of Joseph the most; I really like Joseph. There is a very simple path in the Scripture, and that is imitation. You know that today there is a Xiaomi phone. Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, learned from the iPhone. At one product launch event, he stood on the stage, wearing jeans like Steve Jobs, wearing a top like Steve Jobs. The Xiaomi phone in his hand was held like Jobs held the iPhone. He was imitating others, but no matter how much he imitated, the Xiaomi phone sold quite well.

Today, we must all learn to imitate, imitate Joseph, Jesus, Paul, and others. As you learn, you will become like them. Actually, God has no copyright. God wants us to imitate, and God will not sue us for infringing on His copyright.

Today, brothers and sisters, begin to imitate Joseph. Let's talk about Joseph's story. Where was Joseph born? He was born when Jacob was working and laboring in Laban's house. After Joseph was born, he followed his father back to the land of Canaan from his grandfather's house when he was very young. After returning to the land of Canaan, this child had a characteristic: his father Jacob especially liked him.

Joseph knew his father's temperament; his father Jacob's temperament was very faithful, and his father also liked faithful people. So, after Jacob had Joseph, he liked Joseph very much. Everything Joseph said was what Jacob liked; they both longed to be a blessing to the family.

Joseph had this thought in his heart: My father was relatively lucky, having only one twin brother, Esau, before him, so he could deceive my grandfather's blessing and eventually snatch the birthright. But in my case, there are 10 brothers ahead of me. It is too difficult for me to use 10 bowls of red bean soup to deceive my 10 older brothers!

Then Joseph thought: How can I obtain the Mingding Destiny of the eternal God, the blessing of the eternal God, and become a blessing to pass on? From a young age, he explored this with his father, and his father told him: Child, believe, believe...

If one bowl of red bean soup could make Jacob wait until he was 75 years old, wouldn't 10 bowls of red bean soup make him wait until he was 750 years old? Joseph couldn't figure it out, so he chose to believe. Believe, believe, believe... When he was 17 years old, God gave him two dreams in a row. What dreams? His father, mother, and his brothers bowed down to him. Didn't the 17-year-old Joseph know what this meant? His father knew very well what the dream meant: that he would become the savior of his family!

Today, brothers and sisters, I know that God has a wonderful will for you. Many brothers and sisters are the first to believe in their families. I was the first to believe in my family, and also the one who believes most firmly. I believe I am the savior of my family. To this day, the facts have also proven that I really led my family into the grace of Jesus Christ.

Because of the dreams Joseph had, his life began to change. One day, his brothers were grazing sheep far away, and his father said, Joseph! Go and see how your brothers are doing. The old man was worried about his sons, so Joseph went, wearing the very beautiful colored robe his father had made for him. Finally, he found his brothers. His brothers saw him from a distance! Good heavens, the brat is coming in that most beautiful robe. Then his brothers said, Here comes the dreamer. Let's join forces and kill him. We'll see if his dream can still come true!

If a person is killed, what dreams can he have? Joseph brought disaster upon himself because of his dream. Many people say, Be low-key when you have a dream; don't talk about it randomly. Actually, I think Joseph did the right thing. Talk about it randomly, talk about it energetically, talk about it all the time, talk about God giving me a dream, and I will become the savior of my family. Can anything prevent Mingding Destiny from being fulfilled in Joseph? Can talking about it prevent it? No way!

As a result, his brothers wanted to kill him. The process of killing him was quite tortuous. Finally, after discussing it, they threw him into a pit without water. Then a group of merchants came by on camels, transporting goods to Egypt. They discussed whether to sell him to the Egyptians. So he became a slave.

Joseph was sitting in the pit. If it were us, what would we think? We would think, Can I get out alive? He had heard what his brothers said, but he believed in God! If the dream that God gave me, the Mingding Destiny assigned to me cannot be fulfilled, God's words will never return void. He clung to this dream. So, if a person can cling to their dream, that is amazing!

Some people say, I don't even have a dream. I say, close your eyes and have a daydream, or have a dream with your eyes open. With your eyes open, you can see visions; with your eyes closed, you can also see visions: Ah, my future is like this! It's pretty good, too.

So, brothers and sisters, sometimes we often feel that we are not Joseph. This idea is too foolish! Why can't you believe that you are Joseph? Believing that you are Joseph is much better than not believing that you are Joseph!

As a result, Joseph was thinking about his dream there. Otherwise, he would have been wailing in the well, My whole life! God, save me! My life is ruined, my brothers are going to ruin me! The Scripture doesn't say that. Later, he was sold to Egyptian merchants, and all the way to the Egyptian slave market, Joseph didn't complain.

You have to know that walking tens of kilometers, hundreds of kilometers with your hands tied, following the camel caravan, is very hard. Can a son of a wealthy family walk like that? If we were faced with a suffering that we had never experienced before, we would think, My whole life is ruined. But Joseph didn't think that way. God is fulfilling His plan in my life! God is sending me to Egypt in advance so that I can become the savior of my family. What you think in your heart is what your life will be like.

So, what's the problem? If your brothers sell you into slavery, that cannot affect your Mingding Destiny. What affects your Mingding Destiny is the thoughts and intentions in your heart, what you think inside. Everyone believes my words, that no one and nothing can change your Mingding Destiny except yourself. If you are a person who indulges the flesh, if you are a person with serious negative thoughts, your life will be miserable!

Actually, about college, it doesn't matter if you go to a not-so-good college, it doesn't matter if you take the exam several times. It doesn't matter if you don't do well in middle school. The key is what you think inside. Actually, being sold to Egypt like Joseph is the best school in our lives. That school trains a person's character. You ask me why Jack Ma has a lot of character. He was trained, not because he likes it. Who likes taking the high school exam and the college exam 3 times, and then going to a fourth-rate university? A person's life has many experiences that ultimately achieve a goal, which is to train a person's character.

A Person's Faith Can Change Everything

Like Joseph, he had no choice. There were others who were sold into slavery with Joseph, not just Joseph alone. There may have been many who were taken to the slave market with him. Some may have been sons of wealthy families like Joseph, but their thoughts were not like Joseph's: As long as I can come back, I will not rest until I avenge this! As a result, these slaves were slaves for their entire lives and died in the land of Egypt.

Speaking of the matter of the Lord Jesus being harmed, there were all kinds of thoughts. Look: Jesus was killed, Jesus was killed, right? He was hung on the cross. If Jesus thought: You bunch of brats! When I resurrect, I will definitely settle the score with you!

That's it. With that kind of thought, there would have been no chance of resurrection. Can that kind of thought make a person resurrect? So, after Jesus resurrected, He didn't appear to those who killed Him. Otherwise, those who killed Him would have been scared to death.

Can you imagine? Someone killed Cain, and then he resurrected. My goodness, the people who killed him would be scared to death. You often hear people say: After I die, I will become a ghost to take revenge! As a result, even as a ghost, they cannot take revenge. When they were alive, they were bullied by others. Even after death, they are still bullied by others.

So, today, brothers and sisters, it is very important to start developing this kind of Joseph-like thinking pattern! Do you want to be elevated to the highest position? God can make you as noble as a prime minister, make you as noble as a king, but you must have the mentality of a prince and the mentality of a prime minister in your heart. We Chinese all know that a prime minister's belly can hold a boat, right? If you are not open-minded and your mind is smaller than a needle's eye, can this person be successful?

So, today, brothers and sisters, we must thoroughly understand this person, Joseph. What was it that enabled Joseph to go from being a slave to a prisoner, and from a prisoner to a prime minister? How did he walk out of this tortuous path? It was faith! So faith is a very powerful thing. Do you really believe that God is in control? If you really believe that God is in control, then you don't need to be entangled.

If we don't believe, then God has no way to be in control in our lives. If we don't believe, then the devil is in control in our lives. If you believe that God is in control, then even going from being a slave to being a prisoner cannot prevent God's will from being accomplished, because these things will become the benefits of your life.

Actually, a very important concept in a person's life is to live with hope, to live in hope. Once a person loses hope, then it's over.

A Person's Hope Is Extremely Important

It is very painful when a person has no hope. It is a very comfortable state to have hope and dreams. So today, brothers and sisters, we must begin, no matter what, to believe that God has a wonderful plan for us. This is the truth.

God loves us, and died for us when we were still sinners, so that we would not perish but have eternal life. Now that we have become sinners who are not so sinful, you have repented, doesn't God love us? God loves us, so don't always use that standard to measure ourselves, feeling like I'm finished, I deserve to die, I'm guilty.

You think it's as if God wants you to die, but that's not true. God wants you to live. When we have dreams in our hearts, when we have hope in our hearts, we have character! When we have faith in ourselves, we believe in what the word of god says, we believe that the plan of God over us will be fulfilled and he will accomplish it, I will tell you that the entanglement resolves. So without faith, there is a desperation that makes one extremely painful.

Without Hope, There Is Despair

Why do people choose to commit suicide? Because of despair! Leslie Cheung jumped off a building more than ten years ago. Why do you say he jumped? He had money, but what was the problem? Money cannot solve the inner suffering. Cain and Lamech were both very rich people, but they lived very painfully. The root of their pain was because they had no hope.

Today, if we hold fast to the hope of eternal life, we can run the path of eternal life in this world. You are a person full of hope. So Paul wrote like this: Because of faith, we are full of hope. Because of faith, we are full of hope.

Hope is so good! Why does a person jump off a building because they didn't do well on the college entrance exam? Because of despair! They think that they will have no future if they don't do well on the college entrance exam. Today, brothers and sisters, we must know how amazing this Joseph was. He became a slave and remained hopeful. He was in jail and remained hopeful.

Holding on to Hope

Joseph took the view that if he was a slave, he would be a good one; if he was a prisoner, he would be the best prisoner! Isn't that impressive? That is striving for excellence.

Striving for excellence means being the best slave if you are a slave, the best prisoner if you are a prisoner, the best engineer if you are an engineer, and a truly outstanding Christian if you are a Christian. That is my logic, not too far from Joseph's. Joseph hoped to become the savior of his family, but ended up a slave.

Then, as he went along, his thoughts wandered to despair. Pain! Intense pain! Then what? Continue to despair? No. Joseph, by faith, pulled himself back from the brink of that great pain, still with hope! Despair one moment, hope the next, despair again, then hope again.

Later, he had a son. After he became prime minister, he married and had a son named Manasseh. He said: God has made me forget all my hardship. Do you think he suffered? Of course! Who doesn't? I tell you, pain, real pain, is very, very painful!

I travelled a great distance to see my own brothers, when I could have stayed away. But they threw me into a pit, then pulled me out and sold me to the Egyptians. You were so bad! How could you treat me like that?! How could you treat me like that?!

Thinking about this can plunge you into the depths of pain. Being a slave is painful enough, isn't it? If Joseph had wallowed in such thoughts, he would have increased his pain, doubly punishing himself. Instead, Joseph chose to keep moving forward by faith.

So, brothers and sisters, we often encounter unfairness, things that really shouldn't happen to us. I treated you so well, how could you treat me like this? How could you treat me like this? It is extremely painful. Did Joseph have reason to be in pain? Yes. But he could choose pain, or choose not to.

So he said: God has made me forget all my hardship. How could he forget? By rekindling the dream within him, not dwelling on who was right or wrong. It doesn't matter if everyone has wronged you. If Joseph had kept reminding himself: My brothers sold me, my brothers sold me, he would not have become the Joseph in the Bible we know today.

Joseph constantly reminded himself that he was to be the savior of his family, because God had given him a dream. Some people suffer because they have no dream within them, but today I encourage you to have a dream! Have a dream, a dream that comes from where?

A dream comes from desire. When you desire to be the savior of your family, I tell you, God will say from His throne: This is the vessel I have chosen. Some Christians talk about being chosen: I am not chosen, only pastors are chosen. What nonsense is that?

Who knows who is chosen? No one knows. Do you really know? You don't either. But you can believe that you are chosen by God. That is proactive faith.

Did Joseph ever doubt his dream? Yes, of course, just like us. We are all of flesh and blood, and we feel pain. Then he would often remind himself of his dream, live in his dream, and find comfort in that dream.

Yesterday evening I was ministering to a sister who was in great pain. I restored the faith and dream within her, and what happened? She became happy! She said: After talking to you, I feel so wonderful! I'm fine! I'm so happy, no more pain.

The problem was still the same, but her feelings were different. What was the reason? Faith. You say faith is free, yet it is so valuable; hope is free, yet it is valuable. So, brothers and sisters, choose to believe, choose to hope, because God is looking for such people.

Everything we experience becomes a mechanism for shaping our character, training ourselves to be people of character. The key to this character is vision, dream, and faith, especially the recognition of negative influences. Once a person believes that negative influences will profoundly affect their future, they will be in pain. A person chooses not to be in pain entirely by faith.

So today, the essence of the Christian faith is based on faith. Joseph's father, Jacob, walked by faith. He was penniless for fourteen years, then accumulated all his wealth in six years, becoming one of the richest men in Canaan, what we would call today a tycoon on a rich list. So this faith is extraordinary.

Faith Can Draw Blessings

It is very foolish for a person to discern good and evil and walk according to right and wrong. Where could Joseph reason about what he experienced? He went to Potiphar's house because Joseph thought, God blesses Joseph, God is clearly with Joseph.

Whatever Joseph did, he could accomplish, and whatever he did was blessed. Originally, things would have fallen apart, but when Joseph touched them, they succeeded. And God even blessed his master Potiphar because of Joseph's sake. Potiphar served as captain of the guard for Pharaoh.

So today, brothers and sisters, you must know for sure that if you are such a person, not only will you be blessed, but even the environment you are in will be blessed. This is no small matter, no small matter at all.

As a result, he worked for ten years. In fact, from the age of 17 when he became a slave until he was 27, he became the chief steward of the household, which meant that Potiphar entrusted everything to Joseph except his wife. He put everything in his charge, directly becoming his chief executive. You might say that someone who can be that successful as a slave is quite something.

Some people cannot do well in worldly affairs, cannot do well as slaves, cannot do well as prisoners, cannot do well as people. And then they say: I want to serve God. If you cannot do well in earthly matters, serving God will be even more difficult.

Brothers and sisters must understand, because Joseph had this kind of faith and dream in him, God could bless him, so everything he did prospered. As a result, after ten years, the young man grew to be especially handsome. All the women who saw him would dream of marrying him. Smart and particularly handsome, with wisdom and intelligence, and elegant and handsome.

Who took a fancy to him? His mistress. Oh my goodness, all the things of his family were entrusted to him, but his master did not entrust one thing to him. His mistress wanted him to manage her.

Manage me! Manage me! Then one day, the mistress was in the room, and Joseph also came into the room to do some work, and the mistress was about to rape Joseph... Oh my goodness, rape, have you ever heard of a woman raping a man? As a result, Joseph ran away, and his clothes were torn off by his mistress, and as a result, she falsely accused Joseph and had him thrown into prison.

After being a slave for ten years, he was thrown into prison again. It was truly unjust. Today, brothers and sisters, you may not be able to control such things from happening, but you can control the choices within you. Such things cannot affect the fulfillment of God's will in your life!

Some people feel quite uncomfortable when they wrong others; they often feel that they have been wronged. In fact, that is not a healthy state. If Joseph's mental state as a natural man was: My life is over. There was still hope for me as a slave, but what hope is there for me now that I have become a prisoner?

Joseph did not follow the normal human way of thinking. This is God's predestined plan for me to be sent to prison, so that I may become the savior of my family. How can I become the savior of my family in prison? It doesn't matter. I can build relationships in prison. Actually, indeed, he established very good relationships in prison, met a chief baker and a chief cupbearer, and after a period of time, interpreted their dreams accurately and restored them to their positions.

Pharaoh also had a dream. When the time came, God created an opportunity for Joseph - the opportunity to interpret the dream. Pharaoh had this dream, and no matter how he thought about it, he felt it was a strange dream. The magicians of Egypt could not interpret it.

At this time, the cupbearer recommended Joseph to Pharaoh, and as a result, Joseph was brought out of prison. After one interpretation, wow, he felt it was particularly good. Joseph said: There will be seven years of abundance and seven years of famine. Pharaoh of Egypt said: Who is more suitable to be my prime minister than Joseph? Come! Be my prime minister, second only to me.

Joseph's greatness lies here. If we were to become prime minister, we would quickly say: Boss, I'm taking two weeks off. In fact, it only takes two days to get from Egypt to Canaan. By express horse, it only takes one day. I have to go back and see my father. Thirteen years have passed without any news. Write a letter to Dad! He didn't write it, and he didn't go back. Later, I thought about what kind of person Joseph was. He was too relentless. As the prime minister of Egypt, you are now a free man! It would be easy to get two weeks off from Pharaoh, wouldn't it?

Joseph didn't think that way. Joseph said: If I cannot become the savior of my family, I will not go back! They must come to me and bow down before me to fulfill my dream! His brothers and father came before him and bowed down. He had so much character. As a result, the seven years of abundance passed busily, and when the first year of famine came, his brothers came to Egypt. They had no idea that the prime minister of Egypt was Joseph. Joseph knew that they were his brothers. His brothers never imagined that the younger brother they had sold into Egypt had become the prime minister of Egypt. As a result, he threw one of his brothers into prison. You all go back, and redeem this one when you come to buy grain next time.

When they bought grain for the second time, a year had passed. You might think Joseph cared about the year he spent in prison? Three years would have been fine. Not only was Joseph not hurt, but he also did not indulge the flesh. His thoughts were not those of the flesh.

Let me give you a calculation. Ten years of slavery, three years of prison, seven years of abundance, and two years of famine, which adds up to 22 years. After 22 years, he finally saw his father. When his father came to see him, Joseph's dream was finally realized!

Brothers and sisters, for a person to be able to persevere in his faith for 22 years is extraordinary. He has a lot of character. Could he have gone back and wiped out all of his brothers after becoming the prime minister of Egypt? Absolutely.

But instead of wiping out his brothers, he became their savior. Joseph, in that generation, because he was a man of faith, he became the savior of that generation. If Joseph had not stored up the grain, the people of that generation would have starved to death.

Do you have a heart to be a blessing to many people, or to be a savior to many people! If these are what you are thinking about, how can you have time to be hurt, how can you have time to be in pain? There is no time. There is only one time, that time is to long for your dream, to see God's predestined plan accomplished in you.

If a person can hold on to his dream and his destiny, he will hardly be hurt, and he will be a healthy person. A person has no dream, just living a small life, and your life will be miserable. Why? Because living a small life, there is no dream, no vision, no faith, and no destiny.

If someone hurts you, you become Cain. Cain is mentally ill. Do you want to be mentally ill? Some time ago, many mentally ill people came among us. These mentally ill people were healed. We brought them out of Cain's path, so that they had destiny, vision, and dreams within them.

Although Joseph had ten older brothers ahead of him, he could not use ten bowls of red bean soup to trick his father out of the blessing of the firstborn. However, God also had a wonderful purpose and a wonderful plan for him, to make him the savior of his family, so because of his faith, he became a blessing to that generation.

It's so wonderful. His father was 75 years old when he received the destiny and blessing from his grandfather. Joseph's character elevated his father Jacob's character to a higher level. So today I tell you a secret. Whoever has the greatest faith is the greatest in the family, and the family will bow down to you.

I think many of our brothers and sisters will become the saviors of your family. Joseph had reason to be hurt but was not hurt, because he had vision, destiny, and faith within him. He had reason to be bitter but was not bitter, had reason and ability to take revenge but did not take revenge, that is wisdom, that is the person God is looking for.

Are you a person that God is looking for? That is the key. Because destiny is in God's hands. If you compare Joseph and Cain and Lamech, you will find that discerning good and evil versus not discerning good and evil is a watershed.

If a person walks on the path of discerning good and evil, he will be hurt and will punish himself doubly. If Joseph had become Cain and Lamech, his pain would have been deeper than that of Cain and Lamech, because he had reason to be hurt, had reason to be in pain, and had reason to be bitter, and then he would have died in the position of a slave or a prisoner, spending his whole life in prison.

Superficial cleverness is not true cleverness. Substantial cleverness is true cleverness. Discerning good and evil is a state of foolishness. Joseph's wisdom comes from God. If a person does not believe in God, his life will be ruined. If a person believes in God, nothing can ruin his life.

So, where does a person's life go wrong? It goes wrong in our hearts. If we believe that our life will be ruined, our life will be ruined. If we believe in God throughout our life, keep and follow God's Word, and refuse to be hurt, bitter, or vengeful, we will live in a state of no pain.

When Joseph named his eldest son Manasseh, he said, God has made me forget all my hardship in the place of my suffering. It's not that it doesn't hurt, it hurts a lot. Vision, dream, and faith can bring us out of pain and make us forget the pain.

Later, Joseph named his second son Ephraim, God has caused me to prosper in the land of my affliction. Today, brothers and sisters, you must know that prosperity is God's good will. God does not want us to be slaves forever, nor does God want us to be imprisoned forever. God wants us to prosper, so the name Ephraim means that which God makes me to prosper in the land of my affliction. As a result, Ephraim became even more blessed.

When Jacob laid his hands on the heads of Manasseh and Ephraim before he died, he placed Ephraim above Manasseh, because of the name, God has made me forget all the hardship. This is not bad, it's not something high-end and sophisticated, it's just the primary stage. A higher stage is, God causes me to prosper in the land of my affliction.

People like Cain have no way out; they will punish themselves doubly. The things they do cause themselves to sink deeper and deeper into pain. Judas, who betrayed Jesus, later hanged himself, and his intestines flowed all over the ground, and his belly burst open. People hang themselves because they are in pain. After he betrayed Jesus, he wanted to save the world, he wanted to betray this Jesus, that this Jesus is fake.

He thought he was right, but as a result, he made himself very painful. Brothers and sisters, today we come out of the logical system of Cain and Lamech, and enter into the logical system of Joseph. Not only are we not hurt, but we also prosper in the land of our affliction, God causes us to forget the pain in the land of our affliction, and then causes us to prosper in the land of our affliction. This is believing, this is a very wonderful thing!
