Introduction
Good day to everyone. This time, we will continue with The Words of the Preacher. The Words of the Preacher series is actually the Book of Ecclesiastes. Now, we are on Chapter 2 of Ecclesiastes. The theme is To the person who pleases God, He gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness. The Words of the Preacher series is the third edition of the Book of Ecclesiastes. We can put this third edition on the website under the Bible study section for the Book of Ecclesiastes.
What kind of doctrine does the Preacher preach? He preaches the doctrine of the living. Brothers and sisters, you must know that our God is the God of the living. People must learn how to live, understand how to live, so that they can live well. If you do not understand how to live, you will have lived in vain. How can one understand? First, there must be theory. Second, there must be practice. Chinese Mingding Destiny is a doctrine summarized from the practice of God’s words, and its foundation is in Genesis.
My recent research has found that the Book of Ecclesiastes should be placed before Genesis. Because before Genesis, there should first be Vanity of vanities, all is vanity. Without Vanity of vanities, all is vanity, you cannot enter the blessing of Abraham. I tell you, living is vanity of vanities, all is vanity. Without this foundation, in the end, you will have lived a lonely life, grasped a handful of wind, and then opened your hands to find that there is nothing.
I once ministered to a couple who made a lot of money and had many houses in first- and second-tier cities. After making a lot of money, they wanted to do business and make even more money. Why? He said, I want joy, I want to have a good time. As a result, they ended up with a mountain of debt. Did they have a good time? Oh, I tell you, it was terrible. They are still working to earn money to pay off the debt.
Some time ago, I ministered to a brother who also owed more than four million. Why did he end up with a mountain of debt? Because he did not understand, he did not live with understanding. He kept shouting, I want to start a business! I want a private equity fund! I want to make money! He brought in people's money 嘩啦哗啦. Some invested five hundred thousand, some invested five million, some invested fifty million, and together they raised six hundred million . They thought that only with money could they be happy. Solomon succeeded in his endeavors without ending up with a mountain of debt. Your outcome is a mountain of debt. Are you happy? No. You are still paying off debts to this day.
Someone asked, Have you paid off the debt? He said, Actually, I have. Then they asked, Then why are you still paying off debts? He said, I paid off the six hundred million, but the seven hundred million is new debt. Oh my gosh, the six hundred million debt became seven hundred million. It turned out to be robbing Peter to pay Paul. But I think these people are quite amazing, that there are still people willing to lend him money.
Some people also say, I want to build a unicorn company. I want to make money! Only when I make money can I have joy. Did they have joy? No joy. I see that the corners of his eyes are drooping, and his nasolabial folds have deepened. What unicorn company? Even now, there are still people pursuing this stuff. There are still people buying houses, and as a result, they are trapped. Are they joyful? Investing, and it results in depression. Studying for university, and it results in depression. Oh, there are so many things like that.
I once summarized something: living is to have joy. Look, I had joy from elementary school, I had joy in middle school, I had joy in university, I had joy at work, and then I had joy after I retired, and then I died. After I die, put the lid on the coffin and give me a final verdict: This kid is a joyful person. This kid knows how to live. This kid is interesting. Then write a eulogy: This kid is a joyful person! I lie in the coffin, squinting my eyes, and I feel pretty good. Living a lifetime is to have joy.
But here is the problem. It is not that people do not understand. Actually, everyone understands. Living is about feeling . But even if they understand and want joy, they just cannot have joy. Living that entanglement, that frustration. People live in a colorful world, but they live in a black and white world.
Some people say that they see everything as grey. And then they get dizzy and have vertigo. Not only is it grey, but it also spins. They live in a daze. In the end, it is a wobbly life. The coffin lid is put on, and they are sent off with a eulogy: This kid is too rotten. This life of toil and worry. Spring silkworms spin silk until death, candles turn to ashes as tears dry, a wobbly life. It is not that he does not want joy in life, but that he cannot have joy. Of course, even if there is joy, it is still vanity.
The words of the Preacher preach the way of living. Without the way, how can you live well? Someone said to me, Living is just about this, just about money. When I looked at that face, full of wrinkles, I could tell that he was not a joyful person. Solomon explored this issue. Unlike us who end up with a mountain of debt, Solomon studied this stuff well.
Many brothers are already envious to death of Solomon. He had money if he wanted money, and he had people if he wanted people. As a result, Solomon's conclusion after exploring this issue is: all is vanity of vanities. He summarized and understood it. What about you? You do not learn, you do not observe, and you do not ponder. You just think: how can I live according to what Solomon said? How did he live? He lived quite well with countless concubines. You silly kid, learn. The words of the Preacher are the way.
Solomon did a very great experiment in his life. Many people want to do it but do not have the opportunity. I tell you, Solomon was prepared by God to do this experiment, but you do not have the opportunity and have not been chosen. Solomon had money, power, influence, and beautiful women. Oh, it sounds so good. And then, after having them, what did he say? He said, Vanity of vanities, the happiest time for me was when I did not have these things. Do you understand?
Some people think that Solomon is talking nonsense. Actually, he is not. Some people are angry and feel that he is infuriating, saying vanity of vanities. You have everything, so you are in vain. I do not have it yet. Actually, I tell you, when you have it, you will feel almost the same as he does. Solomon was busy all his life without ending up with a mountain of debt. No one came to make trouble for him. No one splashed chicken blood on his doorstep. No one posted things on his doorstep. No one took a picture of Solomon and put his portrait at the door. He did not have these things. Solomon really succeeded. He really had it, but he concluded: it is still vanity of vanities. Do you understand?
Now, there are many people who follow one after another wanting to become Solomon, but in the end, they do not become Solomon. They become locked-door Solomon. The door has been locked by people. How can they have joy? I want to own this, own that. After owning it, after succeeding, it is still vanity. But you do not know it when you do not have it. So you can also do a small-scale experiment. Do not end up with a mountain of debt. Some people do not understand and say, Solomon concluded this because he had it. They feel that Solomon is talking nonsense. Actually, it is not nonsense. People who have owned it think this way. Everyone can investigate.
You must remember this sentence: external possessions cannot bring inner joy. Do you know the pain of rich people? Sometimes, we do not understand. Once, I saw a real estate developer with a face full of sorrow. I said, What's wrong? He said, I am gritting my teeth, I am stomping my feet. Have you ever found that when you buy a small house, a hundred square meters, and then subtract 20% to 30% of the shared area, there is actually only a small area left? And have you gritted your teeth and stomped your feet to scrape together the down payment?
This real estate developer said to me, Buying a project requires gritting your teeth and stomping your feet. You buy seventy or eighty square meters, grit your teeth and stomp your feet, and try to stretch it as much as possible, two-bedroom or three-bedroom. We are developing real estate, we are two buildings, three buildings, four buildings. Do you think it can be the same? Oh, gritting our teeth and stomping our feet, it is hard work. The current real estate developers, every single one of them, which one is not working hard?
He said, Ah, you live so well. I said, How do we live well? He said, You do not know my pain. I said, How do I not know your pain? He said, You will know when you have a listed company. After he finished speaking, I said, Let's not do any unicorn companies, or anything that gets listed. We'll just do some small stuff.
This Solomon, he got so many girlfriends, he got so much gold and silver treasures. As a result, when he was in his seventies, he saw that his body was not doing well. Having so many girlfriends, his body certainly would not be doing well. And then, after working hard all his life, who is he going to give all of these things to? Is it not a pity? I tell you, people are like this. They do a lot of things, go out to have fun. They arrange a retirement plan, but can it really provide for retirement? Some people sing and dance, but all that comes out is vanity of vanities.
There is also a video of a former richest man saying, The happiest time for me was when I earned a salary of ninety-one dollars. After hearing this, everyone felt very angry. He said that he never touches money and does not love money. After hearing this, everyone was even more angry. Then they said, Quickly tell me how to make money! Actually, he was telling the truth. He was happiest when he was earning a salary of ninety-one dollars. But if he had to do it again, he would still take that ninety-one dollars and continue on that same path.
Many people run forward one after another for the sake of joy, but they cannot get joy. Is this not a lie? Solomon succeeded, but was not happy. You did not succeed, and you ended up with a pile of worries. It turns out that joy is a gift. Not many people can understand this. We are speaking the words of the Preacher so that you can understand. You no longer need to reinvent the wheel. As soon as you learn, you will understand: This is how it is. You should stick to the ninety-one dollars then.
Actually, I tell you, what you own has little to do with the joy inside you. So what does it have to do with? What is the most real thing? Solomon concluded: To the person who pleases God, He gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness. This is given by God. If you please God, God will give you wisdom, knowledge, and joy. If you do not please God, God will add sorrow to you.
When we look in the spiritual world, God is there saying, Give him some sorrow. And sorrow attaches itself to him. Ah, this is hard work. God says, Give him some joy. And he has joy. Do you understand? Joy is given by God. God is the source of wisdom, the source of joy. It is so good to have God in life. When people are living very hard, what they need most is God. Do not make a mistake. What you need most is not that project of yours, not even the Nobel Prize. What you need most is that prize that God gives you. That prize is called joy.
Is it for money that man lives? No. sometimes, I meet some people who are stupid, thinking that they are great, that they know some big officials. But when I ask, that big official has been arrested. Then, they get to know another big official, and he also gets arrested later. What is the point of knowing such people? In this place of China, many people like to say when they are chatting: I know some provincial governors, mayors, and secretaries. Actually, I am quite joyful even if I do not know them. I am not interested in these things because they will not give me joy.
Some time ago, there was also a couple. The sister said to me, My husband's friends have all been arrested and are being investigated. Only my husband has not been arrested yet. Thank God! I thought, It will be soon, do not worry. So some people say to me, Hey, is living not for money? I think, Stupid. My eyes, 啪, transmit a message. They may not have seen it. The message transmitted is 切!
He thinks he has the way. He thinks what he said is reasonable. When I look at his face, it is simply the epitome of vicissitudes. When you look at my face, can you see vicissitudes? You cannot see it. What can you see? You can see joy. When people boast about these things, it makes them look very low, like a poor bum, a fool.
Like us now, we like to simplify the characters. For example, pastor. They do not call him pastor. They call him Pastor Liu. Principal, they do not call him principal. They call him Principal Liu. If it is a lawyer, they call him Lawyer Li. Since this is the case, let's simplify it too. What poor bum, fool? Let's just give him a bum. His last name is Hua. Let's called him Hua bum. A face full of sorrow, simply a painted face.
Everything in the world is vanity of vanities. Only God is real. Only God's promises, God's ability, God's wisdom, God's joy are real. This is the word of the Preacher. Do not take other things as God. If you take other things as God, sorrow will deepen. If you take anything as God, sorrow will deepen. So the face becomes a bum-bum face.
Brothers and sisters, you must know two things: blessing and curse. If a person does not understand blessing and curse in his lifetime, he has lived in vain. The path that Abraham has opened up for us is called the way of blessing. The premise is that Abraham believes that people live and then die, and that it is vanity of vanities. So he seeks God and seeks eternal life, and as a result, he obtains blessing. God gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness to those who please Him. Did you understand a little?
Solomon is a silly kid. The wise man is Abraham. Solomon went around in a big circle, struggled for a lifetime, and then looked back and summarized that it was vanity of vanities. Abraham came up and said it was vanity of vanities. He debuted at his peak. This is a master. It is too amazing. Abraham is much higher than Solomon. Did Abraham have three thousand concubines? No. His body was not worn out either. Abraham lived to be one hundred and seventy-five years old, and he lived well. It is enviable.
So do not name your children Solomon. That is foolishness. Generally, people think that Solomon is clever and a model of wisdom. Actually, he is not. He is a model of upholding foolishness. He became king as soon as he debuted. He did not suffer any sins in his life. Then his body was worn out. He did not summarize that it was vanity of vanities, vanity of vanities, all is vanity, even joy is vanity, until he was old. You should emulate Abraham. You ask, is the name Abraham good, or is the name Solomon good? I tell you, Abraham's wisdom far exceeds Solomon's.
I dare to boldly declare: You are going to be blessed! You are going to be blessed! Because you have heard the words of the Preacher. You are starting to have a little bit of Abraham's feeling. Stop arguing. Stop starting any unicorn companies. Stop trying to get listed. Solomon has already done this experiment. The facts have already proven it. You do not need to start over. Go directly to Abraham's path. Abraham debuted at his peak, and you will also be at your peak when you start on the path.
If you do a good job, would you end up owing hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars? Abraham did not owe debts, and he did not struggle like you. Abraham was so smart. He saw through it as soon as he came up. So this path of blessing is remarkable. Brothers and sisters, if you have debts or serious illnesses, start on the path of blessing today and emulate Abraham. Abraham knows how to live. He lived a good life.
Scripture
Blessing and curse are the two most important things in a person's life. Those who keep and follow God's words will surely be blessed. Those who disobey God's words will be cursed. Let us look at the scripture, Ecclesiastes Chapter 2 Verse 26.
To the person who pleases God, He gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness; but to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind. (Ecclesiastes 2:26)
This is well said. It is just a pity that sometimes I feel a little sad for Solomon that he only wrote it when he became an old man.
Prayer
Let us pray together: God, today give us wisdom, give us knowledge, give us joy, let us know what a grace it is to be those who please you. God, in the past days we have been sinners, toiling and worrying, running around, busy with a lot of worries, busy with some debts. But today, God, I want to emulate Abraham, I want to see through this matter of living. I want to be like the words of the Preacher say, vanity of vanities.
God, save me from these yokes, release me, let me be able to walk out of these yokes. Let me be able to read your words and act according to your words, enter into the path of blessing opened up by Abraham. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Scripture Background
In the previous chapter, Solomon wrote about vanity of vanities, vanity of vanities, all is vanity. In this chapter, he begins to talk about joy. Is joy good? Yes. Is enjoying blessings good? Yes, but who knows that this is also vanity. He opens the door and makes this matter clear: joy and enjoying blessings are good, but they are vain. Why? Because he did a great experiment, he started drinking alcohol.
Regarding drinking alcohol, I never understood this when I was young. Baijiu is very spicy, and beer is like horse urine. I don't understand why so many people like to drink such hard-to-drink things, and it is quite expensive. This is a strange thing. Later, as I got older, I slowly summarized it. Good friends gather together, you look at me, I look at you, we're not so embarrassed. Pour the wine, take a few sips, our faces turn slightly red, and we became well-spoken.
Later, I came to understand that good food and drink create a pleasant atmosphere, making people feel relaxed and happy. It is truly good. Solomon conducted this experiment with wine. After drinking, he proclaimed, Vanity of vanities. Once the effects of the alcohol wore off and he sobered up, he felt it was all meaningless. However, Solomon said he would hold onto folly. Why hold onto folly? He wanted to pretend he was like the people of the world, to see what was good for them to do under heaven all the days of their lives. All the while reminding himself: I am conducting an experiment. I must use my wisdom to guide me. Then I must pretend to be like the people of the world, to see what is good under heaven. This fellow was quite interesting.
So he began great projects for himself, building houses, planting vineyards. Then he advertised, hiring designers, interviewing, first building a team, and then bidding for construction teams. Very busy. Upon arriving at the construction site, he found this and that were wrong. This was not renovating a small, broken house, but the construction of large houses. Then, the design drawings had to be constantly adjusted, and the engineering and construction had to be continuously modified.
Has anyone here done construction? Some people say that if you want to make someone suffer, let them do renovations. It is very hard work. Some people renovate houses, thinking they will look good, but after finishing, they find they do not like them. With money and caprice, they tear it down and redo it, spending ten million on the renovation of one broken house. Solomon built orchards, planted fruit trees, dug pools, designed, and was busy enough. After being busy, did he find joy? No joy.
So many projects require money. What to do? Solomon was the king. He collected taxes! So later he also accumulated gold and silver, the treasures of kings and of the provinces, male and female singers. The male and female singers he gathered were all top-tier. In those days, you could only listen to original versions of songs. There were no cassettes, let alone CDs. And then his delights, such as singing and beauty contests, filled the schedule every day, and he also had to judge cases, with people lining up at the door to see him.
Then Solomon became increasingly prosperous. Nothing his heart desired did he deny himself. Then, lying in bed, he found it was vanity of vanities. This was meaningless. I tell you, when you have had your fill of excitement, and if you have not experienced it, how would you know? Like me, I have not experienced it, but I have experienced and previewed it in my mind. Lying in bed, he felt bored. It really was boring. Then, thinking: Alas, I will die like them. The wise die, and the foolish die. In Sheol, in hell, it is all the same. When you live in poverty on earth, who knows who is poor underground? Solomon wrote about this.
Solomon had three thousand concubines in his harem, including those from Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, and India! I do not know if there were any from China. Too many beauties, one becomes muddled. He worried every day: Who should I favor today? As a result, Solomon slapped his forehead: do this! Hitch up an ox cart and whichever way the ox goes, that is whom I will favor. Later, there was a Chinese idiom called sheep cart seeking favor. Does everyone know this term? It is that the palace maids hoped to be favored, so they scattered salt at the door. Wherever there was salt, the sheep cart would go.
Solomon also used this trick, letting the sheep decide where he would go. Then when he came back, he realized: What am I thinking? Why am I letting a sheep make decisions for me? Can't I make decisions for myself? This was meaningless. Nothing his heart delighted in was left out, but after doing it, it was meaningless. You can do a small experiment to try it.
I once met a sister. She said: Teacher, I have a bad habit. I asked: What bad habit? She said: When I go out, I buy a ten thousand-dollar bag when my mind is muddled. When I get home, I see that I already have five or six of them. I said: Yeah, what kind of thinking is that? Then, after a while, she buys another one. Some people like to buy chargers, and others like to buy designer bags. Actually, there is no special feeling holding a designer bag.
I tell you, when I was young, I thought it would be great to have a car and drive. Cars were not that common then. Then I bought a car, bought a picnic table, a picnic stove, used it once, and found it was meaningless. Have you had this experience, that you bought something in a burst of enthusiasm, only to find it was useless and relegated to a high shelf?
This reminds me of the teaching in Ecclesiastes: What do we gain from all our labor and toil under the sun? When we die, who will these riches be left to? King Solomon also had the same feeling in his later years. He found that everything he had accumulated would eventually be left to his son Rehoboam, and this son was foolish and ignorant. Solomon toiled all his life, and as a result, he felt very despairing.
I know a very wealthy man who collected many antiques and even opened a museum to display these collections. When he took me to visit, I could not help asking him: Who will these things be left to in the future? He said: Donated. The answer was moving. It is like what Solomon said, that in the end, all the efforts and accumulations in life are vanity if there is no true meaning.
Solomon concluded by saying that all this is a great affliction! The most unfortunate thing in this life is to worry and toil day by day, with the heart full of sorrow, and not even able to rest at night. All this is vanity. Then he concluded: To the person who pleases God, God gives wisdom, knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. Solomon only concluded this when he was old. Do you find it strange? This is the background of this passage. You need to read it carefully when you get back.
Over the past week, I have listened to the second chapter of Ecclesiastes hundreds of times. Listening while sleeping, listening when awake, and continuing to listen when waking up. Why? Because I did not understand it. The most important thing for a sinner who toils and sorrows all his life is to be a person who pleases God.
You Must Personally Try Joy
You must personally try joy. You will not know if you do not try it. If you personally try it, what can you conclude? Wine, women, treasures, you cannot acquire these. Some people then begin to say: Teacher, what are you doing? Are you encouraging me to try it? If you want to try it, then try it. Do not put the blame on me.
What is good for a person to do in life? You can try it a little. I myself have tried it. Actually, God does not care if we do a small experiment. A small experiment is okay. Striving to possess something desperately, after you try it, and find it meaningless, this is definitely not a lie. It is only that for a moment, you suddenly want to possess it, nothing more.
Later, I found that what is good in this life? Thank the Lord, I reached my peak upon debut, and went on the path of Abraham. I think the most beautiful thing is to take the path of Abraham upon debut, and to see through many things.
Years ago, I bought a Tiger Head Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes is a pretty good car, but I did not feel anything driving it, really no feeling at all. Later, I felt that many things are vanity. The best thing can at most make you happy for an hour. Later, I concluded: all the cities in the world are the same, all the villages in the world look about the same, and all the highways in the world look about the same. So I do not really like to travel. It is meaningless.
Now everyone has a joyful thing: online shopping. Online shopping means looking forward to the arrival of the delivery. After it arrives, opening it and taking pictures is called unboxing. The joy of unboxing is gone after it passes. The other day I saw in our storage room that they had bought an electronic keyboard, but after playing it once, it was left there. Some people say: I want to buy a bucket to soak my feet. After soaking once, it is thrown away as trash. There are quite a lot of these kinds of things in your home, and there are quite a lot in our home as well. It is meaningless.
I tell you, what is the most interesting thing? Pleasing God is the most interesting. I am really telling you from the bottom of my heart, because when you please God, there is joy inside, and God gives you wisdom and knowledge. This is very interesting.
You say: Teacher, you preach very well. I also think I preach very well. But why can’t the number of clicks go up? The other day on the internet, they told me to listen to my good friend’s preaching on Romans. When I listened, I thought, what is this all about, how can anyone listen to this? Of course, our number of clicks seems to be not high, but it is actually quite high, but I am not satisfied. This is also vanity of vanities.
So do not forget to do an experiment, and then abstractly summarize. Do not get depression and say: Teacher, I am uncomfortable. I pray for you. After praying, you go back and still do not see through it. Say: Teacher, I am uncomfortable again. Then I pray again, and then you go back again. I exclaim: What kind of thinking is this? Can you summarize that the thing that makes you depressed is meaningless.
Always Remember That This Life Will Always Come to an End
If you have summarized it, then you must always remember one thing, always remember that this life will always come to an end. You will die, I will die, you and I will leave this world. What is the benefit? There is no benefit, only toil and sorrow.
Why do people live this way in this life? Why must the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law be bad? Why must husbands and wives be like enemies? Why must one find fault when there is nothing wrong in the first place? Some people live a life of bitterness, some people live a life of mediocrity, and some people live a life of mush, all toil and sorrow. What is the meaning?
So brothers and sisters, this life must have the Tao. The words of the preacher, you must listen to them. How can you live well? You know when you look in the mirror. In the past thirty, fifty, or sixty years, you have not done it right. Look at your face, oh my god, full of vicissitudes, almost turning into Yang Bailao. It is meaningless. Then what is good in this life? Think about it. Without God, you cannot live.
I tell you, the most important thing in a person's life is: have anything but illness, have nothing but God. How does illness come about? Today you look at this and you do not like it, you look at that and you do not like it. You fight with this, you fight with that, all fighting within the home. You get a body full of illness, what is the meaning? A person who carefully keeps and follows God's word, living in God's will all his life, and God gives me wisdom, knowledge and joy, how can I not live well? Of course, it is good to have God.
So I really tell you from the bottom of my heart, God is the God who heals us. But why do we get sick? Because of sin. We cannot be sinners. Some people say to me: Teacher, I cannot live without sinning. I think: this is silly. You must sin, you must play those things of bribery, receiving bribes, and corruption, you must play these things. Why? He cannot live without money. Not me. I cannot live without God. My food is to carefully keep and follow God’s word.
I invited a brother to go out to eat. He said: Teacher, I am not going today. I said: I understand, you have your food. Your food is to carefully keep and follow God's word. Later, I concluded that you must remember that after a person comes to an end, everything is vanity. Why are you tangled up in this?
Everything is Vanity
Everything is vanity. Do you need to do this? Arguing with your husband all day long, giving your husband a sour face. Either your husband gives you a sour face, or you give your mother-in-law a sour face, or your mother-in-law gives you a sour face. Living in this life, you live with a sour face. What is the meaning? Is this not looking for trouble? Can people be happy when they look for trouble? You must know that everything is vanity.
Why can I preach Ecclesiastes? Because many years ago, I already believed that living is vanity. I need God. I want to live for God. Because living is vanity, RMB is ghost money, and the US dollar is also ghost money. You say that what I am saying is very Versailles. I tell you, I know that I cannot live without God in this life. If you are willing, listen to my word of advice, dedicate the time when you will have Alzheimer's to God! Do not get that thing. If you get that thing, you will not even know how to protect your rights.
We must dedicate the time we will spend on the sickbed to God! Dedicate the time of our disasters to God! The reason why I have lived well in the past few years is because there are few disasters. Disaster is a very spiritual thing. Why? Because these are not important. What I thought was beneficial to me in the past, I now regard as loss, I regard gaining Jesus Christ as the most precious thing. I have performed so many miracles, prayed for this disease to be healed, and prayed for that disease to be healed. Do you think I can not believe? Is He not a treasure? As long as people take this life too seriously, too realistically, and do not know that it is vanity of vanities, you cannot be blessed.
God Gives Wisdom, Knowledge and Joy to Those Whom He Delights
God gives wisdom, knowledge and joy to those whom He delights. Later I searched online. On our website, I have talked about being a person who pleases God many times. Why? Because in those years when I believed in the Lord, I began to have such a concept: I must be a person who pleases God. You say: can that thing be eaten? Silly boy, that is much better than eating.
Why do I want to be a person who pleases God? In the early years, I was so poor. The pastor baptized me and made me a Christian. He told me to pay tithes. I thought about it. Only one or two hundred yuan were left in a month. If I pay tithes again, then I will be a pauper. Do you know how I figured it out? I calculated that with these two hundred yuan, I can save two thousand yuan a year. Can I become rich? Forget it, I do not believe it. So I paid tithes.
As a result, in ten years, the income has increased tenfold. God delights in me. I ask you, can it be eaten? Look how well I eat, unlike some people who eat a lot of debt. It can be eaten, it can also be eaten as medicine, it can also be drunk as wine, it can also be… Alas, it is very good. I really do not know how to live without God now.
Look, my mother has Alzheimer's and I have fixed it. Can I fix it without God? Impossible. God gives wisdom, knowledge and joy to those whom He delights, living in joy all his life. Only God makes sinners toil. You feel toil now, are you a sinner? Can you not toil?
From now on, can you be a person who pleases God? In this life, blessings and curses are intertwined in a person's life. You either choose to be a blessed person, or you choose to be a cursed person. Now the question is, how to be a person who pleases God? Do according to God's word. God says to do this, you say it is a loss to do this? You think this is a loss, God says this is a blessing. Therefore, God's word is the law, trembling at God's word is the key. In the job of being a pastor, I must truthfully tell you that I am building God's church according to God's word, trembling at God's word.
Some people are very upset. They build a church and people do not have cancer, but they get cancer when they come to church to participate in meetings. What kind of church is this? This is a cancer church. Do you want to go? Some people are very interesting. They went to that church and got cancer. I asked him to come out, as if I was pulling people. I hope that he can be healed. Do not go there anymore. You get cancer there, why do you still go? You go to that church and get depression, why do you still go? How stupid must this be?
Trembling at God's word. If he is not building God's church according to God's word, he cannot be good, so he must fear God. Do you understand? A sister asked me: Teacher, in the early years, I was very happy in that church, I liked to donate very much, and I was very blessed. I said: Then what? She said: Later I was unlucky. Why? Because at first God gave you grace to let you know to repent. Later in that church, you received a doctrine that does not grow and you got stuck in that place.
A one-year-old child says: Mom, I want to drink milk. You will not hit him. If he is ten years old and still says: Mom, I want to drink milk. You will definitely slap him. You believe in the Lord and live at the age of one, then will you get dwarfism? You say: Mom, I want to eat bread, I want to eat cake, I want to eat biscuits. When you are one year old, your mother will give you. When you are ten years old, and if the family is a little poorer, twist the left cheek: this is mahua. Twist the right cheek: this is cake. Do you understand? Because you have grown up, you cannot live in that kind of ignorance and ignorance.
God’s grace is to guide us to repent, to guide us to know God, to let us know more about spiritual laws, to tremble at God’s word, to fear God, and to build God’s glorious church. So be a person who pleases God. If you search online, there are many people who please God, like Daniel and Nehemiah, I have talked about a lot, just do it.
Then I tell you, your debt is not a problem, your disease is not a problem, all your things are not a problem, you are also happy. From now on, you will embark on the path of blessing. So God gives wisdom, knowledge and joy to those whom He delights. If you have wisdom, will you lack money? No lack of money. If you have knowledge, will you lack money? You will not lack money. So I tell you, with God you have everything.
May God bless everyone! Amen!
