Introduction

Good morning, everyone. Let us turn to Zechariah, Chapter 6. In studying this chapter, I encountered some obstacles. When I read about "angels," "visions," and "four chariots," I found it difficult to expound on these verses. But eventually, I understood it.

In fact, you must view it from the perspective of establishing the church and building God's glorious church, or you will not be able to understand it. Therefore, the theme of this chapter is "He who is called the Branch will build the temple of the Lord."

Although Zechariah wrote this chapter, I suspect he himself did not know what he was talking about. He only knew that in the future, a descendant of Abraham, also a descendant of David, would be chosen by God and raised up to build the temple of the Lord. And this "temple" refers to the church, not Jerusalem, because that temple is of little use!

Zechariah Saw Jesus Christ Building God's Temple

"Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: for he shall grow up in his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord. It is he who shall build the temple of the Lord and shall bear royal honor, and shall sit and rule on his throne. And there shall be a priest on his throne, and the two shall be in harmony with each other.'" (Zechariah 6:12-13)

If we only read this verse in the Old Testament, we really cannot understand what it is talking about. But now Jesus Christ has come, and He died for us on the cross and rose from the dead.

Later, seeing the apostles begin to establish the church, we understand that "building the temple of the Lord" in this verse is the "church" that Jesus Christ spoke of. Establishing the church of Jesus Christ is building the temple of the Lord!

Many people like to go to Jerusalem for pilgrimage. I have been to Jerusalem myself. Going to Jerusalem for pilgrimage means that the temple is now a mosque. The previous temple also had a Wailing Wall, but is that temple the temple of the Lord? No.

Later, in the process of building the church, I received a revelation from God: when we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, it is not for the place of Jerusalem, but for the peace of God's temple, God's church, and then you will be blessed. That is to say, those who build God's glorious church will be blessed.

But the question is, is a church just a church because it has a "church" sign? No! Jesus Christ said, "I will build my church on this rock." Jesus Christ accomplished several very great things. The first great thing is called bearing royal honor. What does bearing royal honor mean? Bearing royal honor does not mean that this person is handsome and gives a great sermon.

Bearing royal honor means that Jesus will be glorified. He offered Himself completely to God, died for us, and died on the cross, was buried, descended into hell, and triumphed! Then He rose from the dead. He is the first person to overcome death for us, so He will bear royal honor.

There is no name in heaven or on earth more noble than the name of Jesus Christ; nor is there any name more honorable than the name of Jesus Christ. Some people say, "How do you know?" I tell you, if you do not cast out demons, do not enter the spiritual realm to fight with demons, then you will not know how powerful the name of Jesus Christ is! Those demons tremble at the name of Jesus Christ.

I am especially grateful to God! Because I am an engineer by training, if you let me purely believe in God in theory, it is still a bit difficult! I believe in the Lord, not only believing in theory, and then thinking that I can go to heaven when I die. Why? Because I cannot see God's work or God's glory when I am alive, so can I go to heaven when I die? This seems a bit mysterious! Therefore, this logical system is difficult to deceive me.

Later, when I read the Bible, I discovered that the gospel preached by Jesus Christ is a powerful gospel. What He did in the world was unprecedented and unsurpassed. He bore royal honor, and then I could cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ.

In those days, many pastors said, "If your life is not good enough, then you cannot cast out demons." This is pure nonsense! What does it mean to have a life that is good enough? But you know, these demons are quite bad! For example, it would say, "You still have loopholes, you are not good enough!" I would say to the demon, "Stop it! Do you think it is because I am good enough that I can cast out demons? No, I cast out demons by relying on the name of Jesus Christ."

Then the demon would continue, "Actually, you also hate serving this person." Oh, this demon is quite powerful! According to the flesh, I do hate this person. But I do not do according to my will, but according to God's will. Devil, you must retreat! This sister must be free! I am this kind of person, do you think I am quite individual?

I have discovered that knowing Jesus Christ is a great grace. Everyone may not know how noble and honorable the name of Jesus Christ is. I am truly fortunate, "ancestral graves emitting green smoke," to have the opportunity to know the Lord who created all things in the universe. He died on the cross, was buried, and then rose from the dead, opening up a powerful path for me.

Once when I was casting out demons, the demon could not deceive me. I did not care about any loopholes. The gospel I believe in is the power of God to trample on all the enemies of the devil. As a result, the demon was worried when it saw me.

Another time, when I was doing healing and deliverance for a person, I saw a group of demons. They were about one meter tall, like dwarfs, but their faces were like monkeys, and they were standing on two legs with two claws hanging down.

If you look at them with human eyes, they look quite cute except for the fierce look in their eyes! As a result, they said, "Oh, let's go quickly, it's bad luck to meet this person!" It turned out that they knew my name. The name of Jesus Christ is too powerful!

Our Jesus Christ wants to build God's church. If you can participate in such a project, I tell you, then you have obtained both the office of priest and the office of king! Because we are children of God, everyone is a prince, so we have the office of king.

That is to say, the office of king and the office of priest are perfectly united in a Christian, "and the two shall be in harmony with each other." If you used to receive the anointing of a king, then be a king. If you receive the anointing of a priest, then be a priest. But now Christians hold both offices, which is amazing!

I have a little regret. We cast out demons, and as we cast them out, how did they become fewer? Until now, it seems that everyone does not have many opportunities to practice, right? If there are more, you can slowly feel it.

We must know that the descendant of David will build the temple of the Lord, and bear royal honor, sit on the throne and reign, and be a priest on the throne. Now we begin to believe in God, which not only solves the problem of demons in us, but also solves the problem of our flesh. So Zechariah saw a descendant of David, that is Jesus Christ, who will build God's church.

Those Who are Far Away Will Come and Build the Temple of the Lord

"And those who are far off shall come and help to build the temple of the Lord. And you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God." (Zechariah 6:15)

Does this passage refer to us? We are all in very far places, crossing the entire earth, all coming to build the temple of God.

I must tell you, who builds the temple of God? It is those who diligently obey the word of the Lord God who come to build the temple of God. No matter how far away you are, you know that the Lord of hosts sent Jesus Christ to be born into the world, you know that the glory of God is among us; you know that building this temple is the most glorious office in the world! And demons will be afraid of you, and you will lack nothing in Jesus Christ.

Many people ask, "What does it mean to be in Jesus Christ?" I tell you, it means to be in the church. What does it mean that Christ is in me? Many people make this question a mess. Let me explain it to you: to be in Jesus Christ means to be in the church, and the church is the body of Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus is in us, which means that the Spirit of God dwells in us, not that Jesus becomes smaller and enters us.

The Spirit of God and the Spirit of Jesus Christ are in us, and we are in Jesus Christ. We build His temple in God's church, and then you will know that God sent Jesus Christ to be born into the world, and He will bring us into the kingdom of God, because demons are afraid of you when you cast them out in the name of Jesus Christ! However, it is not because you are powerful, but because Jesus Christ is powerful.

Our brothers and sisters must know one thing, that is, you are more powerful than demons. Because the Lord of hosts sent Jesus Christ to be born into the world, to die for us, and to die on the cross, to be buried, to overcome the power of hell, and then to rise from the dead. Therefore, the church of Jesus Christ overcomes the power of hell.

But if Christians are afraid of death, is that not a tragedy? Anyway, I have seen many Christians who are afraid of death, which is a tragedy! A person who builds God's glorious church must offer himself as a living sacrifice and must not be afraid of death anymore! Now we who are far away will accomplish such a thing, and this thing will surely come to pass!

When I first started building the church, the situation was extremely desolate, but thank God, as long as we have the will to build God's glorious church, this thing will surely come to pass. In Singapore, there is a church in every square kilometer. You must know that land in Singapore is very expensive, so many churches have moved to industrial buildings, so there are many churches in industrial buildings, and there are also many temples, so the density is super high.

When I first started building the church, I felt cold when I saw this situation. Seeing the lights, stage, and drummers of other churches, the drumming was even better than the internet celebrities. Their hymns, sound systems, and microphones were also very powerful, and it is still the same now.

But I know clearly in my heart that God's will is not this. We do not compare the stage, lights, and these things. We compare the glory of Jesus Christ. We compare whether God is willing to dwell in this church. It feels so good!

So what kind of church do we want to build? We want to build a church that diligently listens to the word of the Lord God, overcomes the enemies of the devil, and deals with the carnal desires of people. Then you will see the glory of God, see the office of priest and king, and see the children of God rise up here, which is so good!

Until now, I am still rejoicing and thanking God for giving me such faith to start building the church in an extremely desolate situation. To tell you the truth, why did I want to build a church? Because I looked down on the churches that others built! Although I was a bit arrogant, I also thank God. I felt that that church was not like the church of Jesus Christ. Now many churches are like the church built by Peter.

The church we built is like the church built by the Apostle Paul. And now it is so good! Although we are separated by hundreds of thousands of miles, or tens of thousands, twenty thousand, ten thousand, three to five thousand kilometers, it does not matter, we can build God's glorious church together, so that God's people can admire God's beauty in this place.

We are still far behind. We must diligently listen to the word of the Lord God, so we study the Bible on Wednesdays and Fridays, just like studying this chapter of the Old Testament now. We value the word of God extremely, and brothers and sisters must have this serious attitude.

Build a church, build a church that is pleasing to God! Be a Christian, be a Christian that is pleasing to God! Be a person, be a person who pleases God! This is the Chinese Mingding Doctrine.

A Crown of Glory is Reserved for Us

"Take from them the silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it on the head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest. And say to him, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts, "Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: for he shall grow up in his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord. It is he who shall build the temple of the Lord and shall bear royal honor, and shall sit and rule on his throne. And there shall be a priest on his throne, and the two shall be in harmony with each other." And the crown shall be in the temple of the Lord as a memorial to Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen the son of Zephaniah.'" (Zechariah 6:10-14)

After reading this passage, what do you think? I think that the crown of glory is worn on the head of the high priest, but it is placed in the temple of the Lord as a memorial, and it belongs to Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen the son of Zephaniah, Hen is Josiah.

Why should it belong to them? It turns out that God wants to reserve a crown of glory for us! It exists in the temple of the Lord as a memorial. What is going on? It turns out that Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah returned from Babylon, bringing a lot of gold and silver treasures to dedicate to building God's glorious temple.

Then God told Zechariah to go to Josiah's house. All four of them were there. Zechariah pushed the door open and saw that these four people were discussing how to build God's glorious temple. Then Zechariah conveyed God's words, saying, "Take out what you want to dedicate, and I will make a crown." That is a crown, with pearls, agates, gems, etc. on it, which is a very expensive thing.

Zechariah made this crown and wanted to give it to Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah, but it was placed in the temple of God as a memorial. When I interpret this passage, I like to put this crown of glory on my own head. You may want to say, "How can you be so presumptuous?"

But you must know that the Bible is not written for these ancient people, but for us! If you are willing to dedicate yourself to build God's temple, then the crown of glory is ours. We are the Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah of this generation, so God will reserve a crown of glory for us.

There is a deep desire in me. I do not care about suffering a little more in this world, but I long for God to say when I return to God, "You good and faithful servant, come in and put on this crown of glory." This is my lifelong desire!

I feel that many things in the world are meaningless! People sleep, then wake up, three meals a day, three full meals and two naps, what is this for? So I deeply long to return to God sooner. Some people say, "What, do you want to die sooner?" Actually, it is not that I want to die sooner, but that I want to receive the crown of glory sooner, but what I say does not count!

If God wants me to die today, I will definitely not let God wait until tomorrow! But if I live on earth for one day, I will live for building God's glorious church for one day, that is how I live!

So what kind of temple is pleasing to God? It is to train people to be dedicated people, to train everyone to be like Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah. The purpose of their lives is to build God's glorious temple, and the purpose of our lives is to build God's glorious church.

If you are building a glorious church for God, would you still be bothered by this and that? People get so stinky being messed with by all these petty matters! There is no glory to speak of, and then look at what you care about.

I myself am having a hard time right now because I see brothers and sisters caring about these worldly things: a husband and wife feel uncomfortable if they don't bicker, a mother and daughter feel uncomfortable if they don't bicker, and then their words are barbed, just arguing! Quarreling! Making noise! It's all a bunch of petty matters, how tragic is that? Why does a person live out a stinky fart in their life?

Let me give you an idea: think about why you are living? You have to figure this out. Some people become happy old folks when they retire, and then they play around, and soon they "kick the bucket"! Meaningless!

When I was pastoring, a sister told me that her boss was about my age, a foreigner, and he was full of fighting spirit, working, working all day long, and then suddenly had a stroke. Why was he doing this all day long? Are these worldly things really that interesting? But that was his life, and also his Mingding.

As for me and the brothers and sisters, can we live in Mingding? I tell you, a person's lack of blessing is closely related to their purpose in life. If your purpose in life is these petty matters, then can you not live out a stench? Where is the fragrance of Jesus Christ? Living all day for these things!

Now do you dare to cry out to God for one thing? Can you cry out for this glorious crown? Can you cry out for this glorious office? Can you offer your most precious things to God? Doing this is not offering, but receiving! Think about it, these four people offered their most precious things, and then God made a crown for them, what is the logic? It turns out that our God is not after our things, but wants to give to us!

When we take on this glorious office, giving ourselves like a candle, burning for God, shining brightly, pastoring God's flock, God will give you a great reward, preparing a glorious crown for you in eternity. Where does this crown come from? It comes from our dedicated heart, we want to build God's glorious church!

I encourage everyone to figure out the purpose of life, life is really not that interesting! For example, some people worry about what to do about retirement? Then why retire? I see it as raising an "old horse"! People don't get old, why retire? Many people hope to "raise children to guard against old age," isn't that selfish? Just expecting to sit in a wheelchair and have people push you! So retirement is meaningless.

We do not covet living in this world, living one day to live for the glory of God, living one day to build God's glorious church, living one day to give ourselves away! If you don't have anything good to give yet, then first cultivate yourself well.

I don't want to retire, I just want to cultivate glory; I don't want to retire, I want to cultivate youth, even if I am old, I don't want to retire. Some people say, "Then what will you do when you get old?" When I get old, I will be as strong as Moses, I believe my God will not prepare me to be a burden to others.

I live in this world one day, I shine and give off heat one day, serving God, serving those in need, so I believe there is a glorious crown reserved for me. Why should I retire? I believe God will not prepare a wheelchair for me, a pile of disasters, a lot of diseases, but will prepare a glorious crown for me!

Therefore, I still don't feel old, living in excitement every day, thank God! I can do a lot of things, many people can't beat me in physical labor! I am very fortunate that I built the church before I got old, and I am also fortunate that I lost my job at that time, and received the glorious office, and can continue to do it until I meet the Lord.

In my heart, there is a very grand plan, if you have a dedicated heart, then dedicate all the talents that God has given you! What I want to do is train people, train people to have the glory of God, this is the pastoring of the church. I want people from birth to death, can live out the glory of God! From this, people's work can be trained.

People's ignorance is really a tragedy! Because people are ignorant, they live like that: confusedly living to ten years old; confusedly living to twenty years old; confusedly marrying someone; confusedly having a child; confusedly wanting to divorce; and then confusedly not divorcing, anyway, it's these things, I get upset just looking at them.

Brothers and sisters, do not live in ignorance, start now to make a decision: I want to live in Mingding! I want to live for God! You must know what to do now? How can people be blessed? It is to have Mingding, I was born for this, I live for this, I want to be a blessing to all nations on earth, God will give us blessings, this is the path opened up by Abraham.

Building a Church Requires Solving the Problems of the Flesh

If you want to build a church, you have to solve the problems of people's flesh, people who are of the flesh are very ignorant. The church is a very sacred place, the church is the temple of God, the church is the wisdom of God, the church is the power of God, the church is where the Spirit of God dwells, the greatest work of the church is to bring out all the problems of people's flesh.

For example, a mother and daughter sit together and talk, and then the words go wrong, and the two will quarrel, and then the mother is uncomfortable, and the daughter is also uncomfortable! Why is this happening? Two people of the flesh cannot be good together, so if there are people of the flesh in the church, the church will certainly not be good.

If you are a preacher, pay attention, look at the church you have built, see how the flesh is dealt with? I tell you, as soon as you build a church, the old horse will come! Then the church will be smoky.

I once talked about an event, that is, I almost died when I got COVID-19, in fact, I am not afraid of death, whether dying from COVID-19 or dying in any way, being with the Lord is better! At that time, I was lying at home, thinking every day about what I didn't do right?

At that time, there was another pastor who got COVID-19 at the same time as me, and then, he died in a few days, but I survived. However, that pastor had previously built a "Dragon Tiger Fight" church, he was not satisfied with the church he built, because many "Dragon Tiger Fights" appeared in the church, that was not only Dragon Tiger Fight, but a melee.

When I built the church in those years, my attitude was: those who are willing to build God's glorious church with me, then let's go together; those who are not willing, you can go wherever you want! So our church's dealing with the flesh is not starting now, but has been dealing with it from the beginning! I built the church like this, and pleased God, so building the church must solve the problem of the flesh.

And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.

Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord? And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country. And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth. (Zechariah 6:1-7)

Do you feel a little confused after reading it? Not only are you confused after reading it, but I am also confused after reading it. I tell you, my understanding of horses is very deep, not that I am a horse rider, that "horse" is a very spiritual thing in the Bible.

When the Israelites came out of Egypt, God told the Israelites that they were not allowed to go back to Egypt to buy horses, God did not restrict them from going back to Egypt to buy donkeys and mules, but they could not buy horses. Later, many places in the Bible mentioned horses, such as a very famous sentence: "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts."

Horses are very interesting, you see, that car is called "BMW," and then a good car is called "Maserati," "Mercedes-Benz" is called "Mercedes," many things are related to horses. Horses represent power, talent, flesh, and swords in the hands.

There is a very interesting sentence in this passage, "walk to and fro through the earth," if you search "walk to and fro" on the Internet, you will find that this word describes Satan, the old horse, the devil Satan also came out from before God, walking to and fro.

What is the old horse going to do walking to and fro? Once you build a temple, the old horse will come, if you can't overcome the old horse, then you have built an old horse's church, and then people will be corrupted. Brothers and sisters must know that if you build a church according to the worldly logic system, it is the old horse's church, it is Satan, the pastor of this church will definitely pay the price.

When I first started building the church, I said to myself in my heart: I will build the church according to the word of God. Because I saw many pastors encountering disasters, some getting depression, getting cancer, going to jail, etc., there were so many.

So I said to myself: don't be silly! Building a church is like playing with fire, it's not a joke, you can't play with fire before God, and you can't gesticulate before God, you must keep and follow God's word before God, and fear God!

Fearing God is wisdom. Later, I began to "fight" with the old horse, many years later, I finally knocked the old horse down, this is the most important concept of building a church. Don't make the church smoky, otherwise the pastor will be the first to suffer losses.

Our church has to do a lot of research, studying the word of God; we also have to do a lot of training, training the word of God. People from birth to death, the process in between people have to be trained, people have to be pastored, have to deal with the carnal lusts, and then they can live out the glory of God.

Among us, there are people in their seventies, and there are people in their sixties, you don't need to worry about anything else, you only need to worry about one thing, that is, whether you are walking in God's will? Whether you are living in God's word? If you live in God's word, all the worries in your life are no problem.

Our God sits on the throne, the universe is His, His power is boundless, if He can't even solve the matter of our living, then is He still called God? So let's not mistreat ourselves anymore, live in God's Mingding, build God's glorious church, and then we will receive this glorious office, wear this glorious crown, and overcome the old horse.

I tell you, once you start building a church, the old horse will definitely come to you, if you don't overcome the old horse, the old horse will make waves in your church, and as a result, this church will become a "Dragon Tiger Fight." The pastor who got COVID-19 at the same time as me, in the end I got better, but he died, he died suddenly, he was taken away by the old horse.

So people cannot build the temple of God with wood, hay, and straw, they must offer their lives to God. If you build a church, what you face is the devil Satan walking to and fro on the earth, once the devil finds that this person is very carnal, he says: "Let this person come to me!" Then this person is taken to him; and then he finds a carnal person, and is taken to him.

Later, the old horse said to me: "I am helping you build the church." It turns out that God's word is indeed saying this, God said: "Let those who belong to the old horse return to the old horse, and those who belong to God return to God!" What belongs to Satan belongs to Satan, what belongs to Caesar belongs to Caesar, what belongs to God belongs to God, this logic is very simple.

Once we offer ourselves to God, we become holy, and then build God's glorious church, we will get Mingding, this is God's great wisdom. You can rely on the Holy Spirit to put to death the carnal lusts, this is God's greatest wisdom.

So in the church, if there is strife, it means it is carnal, if there is "Dragon Tiger Fight," it means it is carnal. Unity in Jesus Christ, that is definitely because you and I have dealt with your flesh, and then we are united in Jesus Christ.

Don't think that the old horse walking to and fro in this land is not good, because there are ghosts, so your thoughts and intentions can be revealed, our Lord Jesus is to reveal the intentions in people's hearts, it's that simple! So you are sick because you are too much like the old horse, living in that petty matter all day long, can it not be stinky?

The church is the wisdom of God, a group of people gathered together cannot have no problems, but the root of the problem is the flesh. If you deal with the carnal lusts, how can the church have problems? If you deal with your own carnal lusts, the old horse will have to pay tribute to you!

Once, I asked the old horse: "What are you busy with?" It said to me: "I am recently harnessing an ox cart." I asked it: "What are you harnessing an ox cart for?" It said: "I am transporting money to send to you." I thought this was very interesting, it is rare for the old horse to be so obedient, and often sends money!

I continued to ask it: "Why are you sending money?" It said: "Alas, we have been defeated, we have not been defeated much in thousands of years, but we have been defeated by you."

So I encourage those who build churches, in your ministry, the most important pastoring office is to deal with the flesh, this is the most important thing in building a church! We overcome the old horse, God will be comforted!

Then cried he in mine ears, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country. (Zechariah 6:8)

"Go toward the north country" does not mean that Satan is coming to you, on the contrary, it is you who are going to Satan. Satan is the most considerate meaning, if you go to Satan, you have to deal with the meaning of people, and then you will be victorious.

Jesus Christ went down to hell, that is, ran to Satan, at the far north is Satan's throne. As a result, Jesus dealt with Satan, because Jesus Christ does not cater to the flesh, He offered His body, and was nailed to the cross, died and was buried, and then overcame Satan.

Who is the old horse? He is a very important general under Satan, don't think it is a horse, it is a group of horses, I think Satan may be a "弼马温". We go to the north, we overcome Satan, we overcome the flesh, and then God is comforted.

Zechariah wrote this book, after I interpret it like this, everyone understands it, right? Our Lord Jesus is the Lord Jesus who builds the church, we are the disciples who build the church of the Lord Jesus. So we must overcome the old horse, otherwise the church will be smoky.

Some people say: "Building a church, dealing with the old horse, can it be eaten?" Silly child! If it can't be eaten, then what else can it do? If you are very poor, it is because you have the intentions of the old horse; if you have many diseases, it is because you still have many intentions of the old horse inside; if you appear to be very stupid, it is because you have a lot of carnal logic inside.

So if people want to become smart, they must first overcome the old horse! If people want to become rich, they must first overcome the old horse! In the gospel, there is no poverty, in the gospel, there is no disease, poverty and disease all come from the old horse.
