Introduction
Greetings, everyone! Let us delve into Genesis Chapter 4. I have lectured on Genesis many times, but upon reaching Chapter 4, I realised that perhaps my previous interpretations were not entirely accurate. Do you know what the most crucial term in Chinese Mingding Destiny is? It is victory. Whether it is victory or salvation, we essentially refer to it as victory. What exactly is God trying to convey to us in this chapter? After much reconsideration, I believe I have found a clearer theme than before: You must master sin. But what if some people cannot master it? If they cannot master it, they are doomed; that is their fate. If you can master it, congratulations, you are a victorious people.
The matter of mastering sin gives us very deep reflection. What does Moses want to tell us? Victory! What does God want to tell us? Victory! Chinese Mingding Destiny also places great emphasis on victory. For example, deliverance ministry involves fighting with demons, meaning casting out the demons from people. But this does not rely on anointing, gifts, or other such things; it relies on victory. Previously, when Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, we might have thought: It is all over, completely ruined, because my parents ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil! But that is not the case. What is really going on? Originally, God still wants us to be victorious; victory is the path. From the story of Abel and Cain, we clearly see what victory and defeat are.
When Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, sin entered, and from then on, children born were naturally possessed by demons, a carnal child from birth. Since we are talking about sin, they named the sin that the child carries original sin. Actually, we generally do not use such terms much, but everyone must have a very clear understanding of sin, that is, when a living person is born, he naturally carries this thing. This sin will legally enter and dwell in the child, and then begin a lifelong journey.
What is a person supposed to do in this life? It is to overcome this sin and to master it. This sin lies at your door, watching you every day, staying with you every day. So, are there more people who master sin, or more who are mastered by sin? Of course, more are mastered by sin. When we read the Bible, when we talk about Noah's Ark, you will find that sin has almost conquered the whole world, leaving only Noah's family. Actually, it cannot even be called a family, just Noah alone; it is a miserable world! This sin is too powerful; you cannot isolate it, because you yourself are sin. Therefore, you either master sin, or you are mastered by sin. All the tragedies in this world today are related to sin, all the problems are related to sin, related to failure and victory.
Among the people I have ministered to in the past, many have fallen under sin. Even after experiencing God many times, experiencing great miracles, they still fall under sin, even to the point of being killed by this sin. The sin we are talking about is the demon; the demon is the sin. Chinese Mingding Destiny is a theology of victory, a theology of mastering sin. Sin and the flesh are closely related; sin is very powerful. So, what should we do? God has opened up a path of victory for us.
Understanding the Essence of Sin
What exactly is the essence of this sin? It is that you will feel very uncomfortable inside. I know you do not want to be like this inside, but you have to be like this, and then you struggle inside, very hard! Maybe life will just be so uncomfortable! Or some people will say: Teacher, didn't you say we should be joyful? If you are a carnal person, carrying a carnal logical system inside, carrying the sin that you were born with, are you victorious or defeated? The key is that you must be victorious.
Sin has a personality; it is a particularly clever thing. This sin knows how to play games with you; it can make people go crazy. The essence of this sin is actually disobeying God's word. Our brothers and sisters must know that victory is not following your original, seemingly very reasonable logical system, but choosing to follow God's word. If I want to follow God's word, what if I cannot do it? As long as you are willing, God will help you.
The reaction of a person being mastered by sin is a state of anger, but the reaction of a person mastering sin is not getting angry when he should have been angry. But everyone must not think that it is okay if you do not get angry on the surface; getting angry inside is enough for you to suffer, because you do not even have the courage to get angry, and in the end, you will suppress it and get cancer. After a person is mastered by sin, you will see that his temper is too big! Maybe you are not even qualified to be angry, but even if you are qualified to be angry, getting angry is not okay.
Moses, who wrote Genesis, once got angry at the Israelites, and he struck the rock with a staff and brought forth water, but God did not allow him to enter the land of Canaan. So, this sin is very powerful. The way sin works is to lead people to pursue their own name and then pursue their own righteousness. As long as people feel that they are right, that is their righteousness.
Then, sin also leads people to do a lot of corrupt things. For example, Cain killed Abel. But what problem did he solve? He did not solve any problem. In this generation today, we find that we have done many things, but we are not solving problems. For example, a child is studying at school, and when he sees someone else getting first place, and he gets second place, he hates them so much that he grinds his teeth. Actually, first and second place are nothing, but people are very uncomfortable inside, and then they hope that the other person dies. Just like Abel and Cain, it is the same.
Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.” And again, she bore his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a worker of the ground. In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground, and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering, but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell. The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.” Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him. (Genesis 4:1-8)
Cain killed Abel because his offering was not accepted, but this not only did not solve the problem, but the curse became even deeper. We must know the way sin works, which is to often feel that we are right, and then get angry. If you are sorry to someone, will you still get angry at them? If you take advantage of someone and then laugh secretly, will you still get angry? No, you rarely do that. Actually, it is all because you feel that you are right, that others are sorry to you, that others have taken advantage of you, and then you get angry. Therefore, pursuing your own righteousness is very powerful, and in the end, it corrupts a lot of people. This is understanding the essence of sin.
Many people say: Teacher, how do you know that Cain offered a random sacrifice? Maybe we were wrong; it seems that the Bible does not really say that. Perhaps Cain also offered his sacrifice very seriously, otherwise why would he get angry? Or we can understand Cain's thinking like this: Look, I have offered my sacrifice so seriously, shouldn't you accept it? Does everyone have this feeling? If you offer a random sacrifice, it is understandable that it is not accepted. Thank the Lord! Some brothers and sisters are willing to give me this kind of feedback, and I think that is right.
Actually, Cain must have offered his sacrifice very seriously, but God did not accept his offering, and then he got angry. Can you understand that? For example, my employee works very seriously, and then I say: What is the use of what you are doing? Then, his temper rises. Because he feels that he has paid a great price, worked very hard, and then no one appreciates it, and someone says: What is the use of what you are doing? Meaning it is useless. When the employee hears this, he feels very blocked inside!
Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.” (Genesis 4:4-7)
The Lord had regard for Abel and his offering, but for Cain and his offering he had no regard, meaning that God must first have regard for the person before he will have regard for his offering. Actually, the offering is not important; what is important is the person and what is in his heart. So, Cain was not accepted because he only had himself in his heart. Cain had in his heart: I must prove myself before God! He was pursuing his own righteousness, his own name, and as a result, God was not pleased.
What kind of people always provoke God to anger? Those who always want to prove themselves. If you come up and want to pour a bucket of cold water on these people, they will use their anger to burn that bucket of cold water dry. Sometimes even if you bring a fire extinguisher, it will be useless, because some people's anger is very great, and once they get angry, they cannot control themselves. Later, I found that when facing such people, you must let them know that they do not even have the right to be angry, and the matter will be easily resolved.
Cain could not listen to anything at all. Although God was already warning him, sin is crouching at your door, you must master it, but when he opened the door, there was nothing there. He thought in his heart, what else is God saying? I think I should just forget it. But actually, God was referring to the sin at the door of his heart, so sin entered his heart and led him to sin against God. He did something completely useless, and it would make the problem worse. As a result, he killed his brother Abel.
I was thinking, Cain did not win, did not master the demon; the demon mastered Cain. Although on the surface Cain killed Abel, actually Cain was mastered by the demon. Because sometimes it is better to die than to live. For example, although Abel died, he lived a life of joy and without suffering. Conversely, Cain was mastered by sin. Although he lived, he lived more and more painfully, suffering for a lifetime, just because he killed Abel in a moment of anger.
Everyone must know that agriculture actually has a higher economic value and more advanced technology than animal husbandry and breeding, because agriculture just uses seeds to plant in the ground, and then invents some tools to enable crops to grow. Its profits are far more abundant than animal husbandry. Everyone can grow cotton to produce clothes, or grow rice to produce food. Just like China's Heilongjiang today, it has become China's granary for survival. So, the industry that Cain was engaged in was actually very high-end, while the animal husbandry that Abel was engaged in was several levels lower. As a result, Cain came before God and was not accepted, and he even dared to be angry before God. But even if Cain had a good hand, in the end he was mastered by sin, and the situation he lived out was still very painful, living very badly.
Today we do not have so much interest in Cain, because what is the point of spending a lifetime studying ten thousand wrong ways of life, studying the wrong teachings of the church? Because studying mistakes does not solve problems, and the key is that we should study how to correct ourselves, how to live in a way that pleases God. Don't always say that this is heresy and that is heresy, and then transform yourself into a heresy research center. There is no benefit in doing this. This is like how a programmer spends all day studying other people's wrong programs, but in the end he cannot write the right program himself. Wouldn't that be a mistake? We should not turn ourselves into anti-counterfeiting warriors. If so, it is better to just correct ourselves.
Mastering Sin Starts with Offering
Mastering sin starts with offering. When I studied Cain before, I could only conclude that he was mastered by sin because his emotional intelligence was too low, but I want everyone to focus on learning how to win and how to master sin. God was pleased with Abel's offering because he was pleased with Abel as a person. Just like later when Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, and Joseph were mentioned, they were all people who pleased God. As long as God is pleased with certain people, no matter what sacrifice they offer, God is pleased. We can see this very clearly in the Bible.
This is like if you like a child, if he gives you a candy, you will be happy in your heart. But if a child you hate gives you something else, no matter what it is, you will feel very annoyed. So, we need to figure out why God likes Abel. Mastering sin starts with offering. Don't offer and then not please God in the end.
In those years, God could directly speak to Abel and Cain, so Abel had a very obvious characteristic. He thought in his heart, my parents Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil back then, sinned, and offended God, so I must not disobey God today. The purpose of my life is to keep and follow God's word, and I must not disobey God's word. My goal in life is to offer all that I have to my God.
Everyone must know that God was pleased with Abel because his thinking was right, so we must strive to imitate such people, and we will also become people who please God. So, Chinese Mingding Destiny wants to figure out what these people are thinking. We do not want to understand what heresy is all about; we just want to understand where the right path is. When Abel offered, he offered the best of his sheep to God, because it is mentioned here that Abel offered the firstborn lambs to God, and the firstborn are usually the strongest. He not only offered the best, but he also offered the best to God again and again.
As long as the ewe gave birth to a firstborn, he would offer it. If she gave birth to another firstborn, he would continue to offer the best to God in this way. According to people's thinking, they would think, I will wait for the later lambs to be born healthy, and then continue to offer the firstborn lambs. But Abel did not think this way. Regardless of whether the later lambs were born or not, he continued to offer the firstborn lambs. So, through offering, we can clearly see people's way of thinking.
I want to tell everyone that even if you have made an offering, if your thinking is still like Cain's, always wanting to prove yourself, maybe you have also worked hard and struggled to tithe, but your logical system is wrong, you will still be very poor, so we must adjust our logical system well. The person who has offered the most throughout history is David. He offered many tons of gold, hundreds of tons of gold that he saved himself. Can you imagine that? And regarding offering, what David said is different from what our brothers and sisters think.
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. (1 Chronicles 29:14)
Here David said that he and God's people could offer, what a great grace. But when we talk about offering again, some people will say: The pastor of the church is supported by me, the church is supported by me. That's troublesome, this immediately becomes Cain. This offering immediately screens out this person. So, the offering is the beginning of victory and defeat. What is your logical system and attitude about offering? Anyway, I live by relying on God, and I constantly despise living, because I have to die sooner or later, so I don't take it seriously.
If you live very seriously, counting the money in your bank account every day, looking at your provident fund, whether you can start receiving subsidies at 70 or 65 years old, and how many months you can receive 1,000 yuan...... If everyone takes living too seriously, then food, sheep, and harvest are all crucial to you. The offering is not accepted because of the attitude of defeat and the logical system of defeat inside. So, the offering screens out many people.
A sister who opened a Chinese medicine store, it used to be difficult to open a Chinese medicine store. She came among us and caught up with the epidemic. Who knew that her Chinese medicine store business was very popular, and she even testified among us. Later, I said to keep the offering for yourself first. However, as this sister kept it, both the person and the offering disappeared. This sister grew up in a poor environment since she was a child, so she valued money very much. What will happen to her in the future? A person who is cursed cannot get better, living in sin is very hard, it is impossible to get better, because God also despises this kind of offering. Some people will say: Teacher, aren't you losing out on this? Actually, our church does not live by money, we can only live well by relying on God.
There was also a sister who had a blood leak and many other diseases, and the situation of the whole family was also poor. If she didn't offer, she would offer, but later she messed around in order to live seriously and did many things. When she came among us, not only was her illness healed, but she also experienced great grace in her finances. Unfortunately, she is now living a poor life again. You can tell from the attitude of offering. Victory is mastering sin, starting with offering. Cain lost the battle when his attitude towards offering was wrong, and God warned him.
The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.” (Genesis 4:6-7)
God told him the truth, but he couldn't listen to it. Once he got angry, he was miserably messed up by the demon, and he lived in a mental state for the rest of his life. If you know that you live by relying on God, then you will no longer rely on yourself. If you feel that you live by relying on yourself, that you are supporting God, then your attitude will not be good. Brothers and sisters, we must readjust our attitude towards offering today. If you are completely trusting in God, then you offer. If not, then don't offer, keep it for yourself.
You can also take your offering with you when you leave in the future, otherwise after offering, God says he doesn't like you, and he doesn't like your offering, so there is no need to give the money and be hated by God. Some people are worried for me: Teacher, how will the church live without offering? Actually, keeping and following God's word will definitely be able to live, and God is still feeding us today, not you supporting us. We are not supported by the church's offering, but by God feeding us among us. It is difficult for those who come among us not to be blessed, while many people outside are desperately trying to be blessed.
The most important thing in our church is to master sin, to master the flesh. I will now give you a little extra lesson. What are the four basic levels of pastoring? The first is deliverance ministry, which immediately brings out the two sides of a coin, deliverance ministry and dealing with the flesh. Without completely dealing with the flesh, deliverance ministry will be useless in the end. Second, dealing with the flesh, which is dealing with Cain's logical system. Third, preaching God's word. Fourth, implementing God's word. So, what exactly is dealing with the flesh dealing with? It is dealing with our attitude as a person. Mastering sin starts with offering, and the attitude of offering must be adjusted first.
In the past few years, the most correct decision I made was tithing, and later I made a fortune by pleasing God. So, I am not a poor person, and no one likes to be a poor person. Let's do a statistic today to see if those who please God are poor. Abraham is not poor, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Daniel, Nehemiah, David, none of them are poor. Occasionally Jesus gave an example, which is that Lazarus, and some people took it seriously and wanted to be that Lazarus, then you can do it. Our brothers and sisters must know that God is a rich God, and offering to God is a great grace!
Solving Our Inner Confusion
Chapter 4 brings a lot of confusion. If you don't solve the inner confusion, you will have Cain's logical system inside, which won't work. Let's talk about these confusions. For example, Cain was cursed, but he built a city and named it after his child.
Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built a city and called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch. (Genesis 4:17)
Some people think Cain is amazing and want to be like Cain, then I can only wish him good luck. Not only that, but Cain's descendants include many pioneers in industry, commerce, science, technology, art, entertainment, and culture. Some people are very envious and want to be like them. Some people even envy Lamech for being able to marry two wives.
Lamech took two wives. The name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. Adah bore Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe. Zillah also bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron. The sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah. (Genesis 4:19-22)
If Cain were still alive today, his descendants would be very outstanding people in industry, commerce, science, technology, and the military industry. Do you feel confused? Do you think that's great, glorifying God? I have to glorify God and strive to be like Tubal-cain or Jabal and Jubal, how amazing! It is indeed very amazing, but the problem is that if you have these things inside, then it can be as simple as one sentence, that is, you seem to be Cain inside. The so-called one general succeeds and ten thousand bones wither, how did these people climb to the peak in their lives?
To climb to the top of that industry, they are unscrupulous, blood flows like a river, and passing five passes and killing six generals is not a joke. When we read martial arts novels, how many people have to die to produce a leader in the Mount Hua Sword Competition? And to reorganize the martial arts world and unify the various sects, how many more people have to die. That era relied on killing, and you had to step on corpses to get up, so I ask you, is this curse deep or not? It is definitely very deep.
The uncle of a sister in our church is a very famous musician. This musician had a piano, which eventually fell into the hands of this sister's father. However, a disaster suddenly fell from the sky, and a brick fell from the sky and hit this sister's father's head. Later, it is not known who the piano fell into the hands of, and something bad may happen again. This is very strange.
Everyone should look carefully. In ancient China, the Tang Dynasty fought all the way to Korea. Some people think this is amazing. Looking back at the logical system of these people, China's territory has expanded, but how many people have died for this? So, we must solve the confusion inside us, otherwise you may be standing in Cain's logical system, not to mention mastering sin, you will be standing directly in sin.
If you have ever been to Heixiazi Island, you will know that there is a boundary marker between China and Russia on this island. This is because the leaders of China and Russia agreed to draw this boundary line in order to resolve border disputes. The Russian side erected a very large statue there, which is a very famous Russian general. The Russians admire this general very much. He expanded the territory of Russia eastward to the border between Japan and China's Heilongjiang. For China, he is an aggressor. This world kills and kills, and it is still killing today.
How many people were killed in World War I and World War II? In my opinion, it is very boring, but this is the world's logical system, which is Cain's logical system. If you don't master sin, you won't live well! Even today, mentioning the Nanjing Massacre, the photos are scary to look at. The reason is simple, there are too many people like Cain and Lamech, who are extremely cruel, but this is not what God wants, but what people want.
Some people say why doesn't God protect Abel? We have to solve these confusions, because God looks at life and death in eternity, while we look at it in this life. That is to say, Abel being killed is almost the same as him dying of old age, it is the same. Jesus was also killed and nailed to the cross. Everyone must understand why God did this, and God did this, whether it was Abel or Jesus, Joseph, Jacob, they all used God's method to solve the problem.
Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him. (Genesis 4:8)
Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him. (Genesis 4:14-15)
Lamech said to his wives: “Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; you wives of Lamech, listen to what I say: I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for striking me. If Cain's revenge is sevenfold, then Lamech's is seventy-sevenfold.” And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.” (Genesis 4:23-25)
The word "kill" appears many times in this chapter, because everyone is based on ability, and they involve people in it, pushing them to death, making them uncomfortable. The leader sits on top, the second in command is uncomfortable below, and the third in command is even more uncomfortable. The father of a brother in our church said to him: Look at your classmates, they all have doctorates, and look at another classmate, they have 500,000 followers on Facebook! But this brother is good at answering: Then look at what happened to him later? Actually, it's nothing special, just like Lamech and Cain. People are involved in a lot, not only industrial, commercial, agricultural, and technical, but in fact, many very powerful people in all walks of life have stepped on corpses to get up. So, can being based on ability glorify God?
Many children in our church are learning at school and are constantly crushed. Can this be victorious? Because grades are important, they have to pursue them. Under the trend of being based on ability in schools, I don't know how many children have been corrupted. After being corrupted, where can you go to reason? The problem in the world is that it worships strong people. Are you still confused now? Do we still want to be strong people? To be a strong person is to be an enemy of God, and to be an enemy of God, God can make you wish you were dead, and sometimes you can't die even if you want to, making you suffer in life. Isn't it easy for God to make people suffer?
The Essence of Life
To master sin is to recognise the essence of life. If you do not master sin, you cannot live out the life you were meant to live. You must understand that recognising the essence of life requires removing the confusion within us. If you view rewards and punishments from an eternal perspective, your understanding will be completely transformed. Once you master sin, it is exceedingly good, because God will be with you. But if you do not master sin, you will become like Cain and Lamech, ultimately mastered by sin, becoming almost neurotic. Although you may appear to be a formidable person, this state of being formidable is actually very taxing. Anyone who threatens your position becomes a mortal enemy. If you are a patriarch, and your disciples try new tricks on you, wouldn't you have to purge them from the clan?
This raises an interesting point: is it better to rely on God or on Cain's logical system? Is it better to master sin or to be mastered by sin? You must observe carefully. I mentioned earlier starting with offerings. Today, we will discuss recognising the essence of life, and then look at the path to victory that God has prepared for us. You must know one thing: we say that when a person dies, they are dragged to a place where they are either deep-fried like fritters or dough twists, or grilled like lamb skewers, sausages, or even charcoal-grilled items. Or perhaps they are made into preserved meat, hanging like a piece of bacon, or maybe you are the sausage, the fritter.
If you see these things in eternity, and it lasts forever and ever, how would you feel? That would be too terrible, not a good thing at all. Unfortunately, people do not realise this themselves. If people live only for this life, they live and then die, and everything is extinguished. What is the point of all the struggle in this world? Some people pursue things bitterly in this world, toiling relentlessly, living very earnestly, only to end up in jail at the age of eighty. I do not understand what that accomplishes.
Some people live so earnestly, only to be imprisoned in their eighties. I do not know what they think they can achieve. Is it good to live in the mental state of Cain and Lamech their whole lives? Constantly threatened, whether within their own party or outside, there is competition. The struggle between parties is exhausting. Whether you become the top leader or just one of the many, it is all exhausting. As long as you are in this system, it is very taxing, but those who trust in God lack nothing good!
You must recognise that the essence of life is peace and joy in the Holy Spirit! How wonderful is peace and joy in the Holy Spirit! Do you think Abel was good? Abel was not the smartest person in our understanding. He simply herded sheep every day, and then one day he was killed. Until the day he was killed, he lived a joyful life. In the end, he was killed by his brother Cain. Do you think Cain lived well, or Abel? Actually, Abel lived well. Later, why didn't God kill Cain and Lamech? Because God placed a mark on them. Whoever kills Cain will suffer vengeance sevenfold. This was just to give Cain some comfort, to prescribe him some medicine for his mental illness.
God is very humorous. The medicine was to carve a mark on Cain's forehead: "I am Cain, whoever kills Cain will suffer vengeance sevenfold." Then he was not as severely ill. Do you think that is painful or not? He could not even die if he wanted to. Why did God do this? God was always waiting for Cain to repent. One day, if he repented, God would also rejoice, so He gave him a chance, living day after day. But he lived for hundreds of years and remained a Cain.
You must recognise the essence of life, knowing that living is vanity of vanities, and it is the same no matter what age you die. Therefore, if you are struggling to live, you probably have not understood things correctly. If you do not want to struggle to live, you might not even die. If you want to struggle to live, living a life that is neither human nor ghostly is too miserable, and in the end, you will be rubbed on the ground by demons. Constantly crushed by demons and sin, trampled by billions of feet, never to rise again. That is what happens in the spiritual realm. If people live and then die, living is all vanity. If Christians are not even as good as Lao Tzu, what are they doing as Christians? Lao Tzu lived for hundreds of years, and he took things very lightly.
One of our sisters told me today that her father died of cancer at her age, barely living to the age of forty. Why did her father die? Because he took the things of this world too seriously. He was a very intelligent and talented person, capable of speaking and doing. But if people appreciate you, it is because you are talented. If they do not appreciate you, why bother arguing? As a result, he died, but the company still operated as usual. Dying of cancer, wasn't that being crushed to death by sin? Are there many people being crushed to death by sin today? Arguing like Cain all the time, without Cain's fate, where whoever kills Cain will suffer vengeance sevenfold; nor Lamech's fate, where whoever kills Lamech will suffer vengeance seventy-sevenfold.
Can you recognise the essence of life? If you can recognise the essence of life, would you still be arguing? Do not argue until you get cancer, that is too painful. Some people still argue even when they have cancer. Why? Because they cannot see clearly! If people live and then die, it is the same whether they die at 30, 40, or 50. Some people feel it is different but cannot explain where the difference lies. Our Jesus lived to 33 and was nailed to the cross, and later God raised Him from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of God the Father.
God Has Prepared a Path of Victory for Us
Do you want to know where this path of victory lies? Today, studying anger and emotional intelligence is useless. I must tell you that the path to victory lies in calling upon the name of God. Not calling upon your own name, because your name is not effective. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we can be saved, except through the name of Jesus Christ. Through the name of Jesus Christ, we can overcome, which is to be saved. Today, we can overcome through Jesus Christ, because Jesus Christ willingly went to the cross and mastered sin.
If you and I imitate Jesus Christ, walking the path He walked, mastering sin, we can live in peace and joy throughout our lives, and we can live in prosperity, because that is God's will. You can call upon the name of God, and the name of God will surely be effective. Start living a God-centred life, no longer pursuing your own name. No longer trying to prove whether you are talented, nor pursuing this patriarch or that patriarch, or this number one or that number one. If others get first place, you do not need to compete with them. It does not matter if others are strong, we must do our own proper work.
One brother shared with me something very good, saying that people should just live their own lives and not compare themselves with others, just solve their own problems. Many people do not want to understand clearly, blindly wanting to surpass others. What is there to be entangled about? Competing will only lead to one's own demise. So I want to tell everyone that if you rely on God in everything and no longer live for this life, you can surely master sin. Even if our ancestors Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, even if we have eaten basket after basket of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil over the years, it does not matter. Today, with Jesus Christ, we can overcome through Him, because we can live in eternal life. Start living a God-centred life, and your emotions will surely become stable.
I have read about many figures in the Bible. Jacob herded sheep at his uncle Laban's house, and Laban cheated him of his wages ten times, but he had no emotions, because he was not living for that. If your boss cheated you of your salary ten times, I think you would jump up high even after just one time. Because Jacob's reaction to this matter was very healthy. Later, when he returned from his uncle's house, his daughter Dinah was raped, but he did not have a big reaction. From this, I have concluded that the reaction we make to things is called victory. For example, God said, "Cain, if you do well, will you not be accepted?" Cain said, "God, how can I do well? I will change immediately." Do you think God would not be pleased with this attitude?
When facing things, your reaction determines whether you are victorious or not. When facing life and death, are you afraid? When facing things that happen in your family, can you reflect on yourself? When Jacob's daughter was raped, Jacob reflected on whether there were any accursed things in the house, reflecting on himself. God does not make mistakes. When Joseph was sold into slavery in Egypt, his reaction was also very healthy.
Some of our brothers and sisters, not to mention taking his money, even if you give him money, he will still discern good and evil with you. Why? Because he has the things of Cain, unable to master sin, and has already paid a heavy price for it. If you have already paid a heavy price for it, then I will give you a suggestion: God has prepared a path of victory for you, you must master this sin and be a victorious person!
The theme of this sermon is more prominent. In the past, it was more loose. Be a victorious person, and many problems will be solved easily! Brothers and sisters, you must master sin. If you cannot master sin, then your whole life will be a tragedy. Today, God has prepared victory for you, what do you think? Start drawing on the victory that God has prepared for you, otherwise one day you will regret it deeply. Do not do things you will regret!
May God bless everyone!
Genesis Chapter 4
4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.
4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord.
4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
4:6 And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
4:9 And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
4:11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
4:12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
4:13 And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
4:15 And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
4:16 And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
4:18 And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.
4:19 And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
4:20 And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.
4:21 And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.
4:22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.
4:23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
4:24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.
4:25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.
