【Sermon】Breaking Worldly Values 05: Consider Everything as Dung, Only to Gain Jesus Christ as the Supreme Treasure

2019-08-25 20,777 Breaking Down Worldly Values Series Jesus Christ Liberation Logical System The Great Commission Empowerment Resurrection

Introduction

Over the past few days, I have been particularly following a case. A sister whose eyesight had become entirely blurred had been spending her days in tears for the past two months. Why? Because her extended family, including her parents, were facing numerous troubles – car accidents, financial losses, just a lot of problems. Her father had pressured her to take out high-interest loans, and she actually borrowed 200,000 yuan for him.

But with her father's approach, could 200,000 yuan be enough? It all went down the drain. So, she worked frantically every month to repay the high-interest debt. Not only that, but her sister also needed to borrow high-interest loans. The whole family was in dire straits. In this situation, this sister suddenly lost her vision, her eyes only seeing a blur.

Hearing this, I felt deeply saddened. Let me share the outcome of ministering to her first, so you don't worry along with me. Thankfully, in these three or four days of ministry, she has experienced tremendous recovery and can at least see the outlines of things. What exactly was the problem? The root of the problem is the worldly logic system.

A worldly logic system manipulates how we see things. What makes people encounter such situations? It's the evil spirits behind it. Her family had the soil for evil spirits to operate in, and then the evil spirits corrupted the family. What formed this soil was the worldly logic system. The worldly system blinds people, making them unable to see what life is about. Now, let me share my research findings with you. The answer to the problem is the topic I want to share: Count all things as dung, so that I may gain Christ. This statement is from the Bible.

As our sister continuously dismantled the worldly logic system, step by step, her vision began to recover. I want to convey a concept to everyone: anything that cannot solve problems is useless, and that’s like the worldly logic system. It not only creates problems for us but also fails to help us solve them.

Take this sister, for example. She cries all day, feeling miserable when she recalls past experiences, crying profusely. What's the use? Useless, what remains is despair. The misfortunes her family encountered all came from the spiritual forces of darkness. As ordinary people say, encountering bad luck, even drinking cold water can cause problems.

Why do we say so that I may gain Christ? Because gaining Christ means gaining the power of the spiritual world, which can strike down the devil, our enemy. Later, I began to teach her to come out of these difficult and entangled situations. But after coming out, what should we do? Not become numb, but bring our families into blessing. This is crucial.

A few days ago, I was thinking about the word dung and count all things as dung. What exactly does all things refer to? While pondering, I thought about how my mother came out of Alzheimer's. My mother shared something with me, saying, The devil is so wicked, to what extent? It made her eyes see feces as delicious Jiangmi Tiao.

You might not know what Jiangmi Tiao is. You can understand it as a small twisted fried dough stick, about the size of a finger, and the devil made her eat it. Did she eat it or not? It's unclear, but the devil indeed made her see feces as Jiangmi Tiao.

This is quite interesting. In a state of Alzheimer's, what people see is not the same as what is originally there. If we observe things with a worldly system, do we often see feces as Jiangmi Tiao as well? Very likely.

But if we carefully consider the problems faced by our brothers and sisters, indeed, that is exactly what is happening. Is it feces or Jiangmi Tiao? It depends on the difference in the logic system of viewing the world. We often think something is important, but it may not be. We often think something is a treasure, but it may not be. What we see things as is related to our perspective.

Behind our perspective is our logic system. Our internal logic system is basically the key to being trapped and bound. Some time ago, a girl developed severe mental illness. She found us online, and we have healed many people with mental illnesses. Her mental illness was also truly healed.

Later, a classmate of her sister, who was also constantly on the verge of death, threatening to jump off buildings, worried her parents sick. Hearing about this, she also sought the help of my co-worker. Her parents were quite interesting, hesitating whether to find my co-worker because there was a very good investment opportunity in Guangxi. After struggling, they still felt that treating their child was more important, so they brought their child to my co-worker. My co-worker ministered to her, and the child was truly healed.

People like us are hard to deceive because we have our own way of seeing things. But many worldly people use the worldly system to make judgments and also have their own set of things. During this ministry, the Guangxi investment issue was discussed, and it was recently discovered that 700,000 yuan was gone, all swindled away. In fact, we had told her at the time that it might be a scam, reminding her to be careful, but she wouldn't listen. If a person is foolish inside, it's hard not to be deceived.

On one hand, I want to help everyone solve your problems, and on the other hand, I want to lead everyone to solve other people's problems and become a blessing to others. What exactly should we do? The most important thing is to clear the wrong concepts in our minds. If these wrong concepts are not cleared, then these people are destined for misfortune.

Every Sunday service, we recite our mission. Why do we recite our mission? We hope to become people with a mission. Don't become another character, written as the character for corpse (尸) with rice (米) underneath. A person either has a mission or a shit mission (屎命). Can you hear the difference? If not, both have the same pronunciation, but the results are vastly different.

The Chinese invented characters in a very interesting way. One day, I wrote the word bian (便, feces) on the whiteboard. I discovered that this character is very similar to the shi (使) in mission, only missing a horizontal stroke, like lacking a Jiangmi Tiao. But a feces destiny and a great mission are worlds apart.

We need to change our perspective. Brothers and sisters, think about why you encounter so many things and come to church. It's because you originally filled your minds with a worldly logic system, which must be dismantled. Your perspective leads you to see things wrongly, just like seeing feces as Jiangmi Tiao, considering the things you pursue in life as treasures, but treating Jesus Christ as garbage. Can such people not encounter problems? When their children develop mental illnesses, they think of God.

Whether we are willing to change our value system is crucial. Let's read a passage of scripture:

Scripture

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ (Philippians 3:7-8).

Prayer

Lord Jesus, please work in us, change the way we see things. Lord, open our eyes among us, let us change our perspective, let us truly open our spiritual eyes to know you, let us know Jesus Christ, and also know the great power of His resurrection from the dead, and know that in this world, walking with you will surely gain the promises and hopes you have prepared for us in eternity.

Open our minds today, let us know what is treasure, let us know what is dung. Let us know that you are the pursuit of our lives. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen!

What You Value Is What You Will Gain

What people consider a treasure, or what they value, is what they will ultimately gain. What you value is what you consider valuable, which is called values. What you consider valuable is what you will pursue.

About ten years ago, when I was still working, I ministered to some Chinese students in schools. They all had their own problems. Among them was a Christian sister who followed me in leading Bible studies and was very enthusiastic in her service, but she was in a relatively chaotic state inside, to the point that she struggled with everything she did.

In that situation, she considered marrying a local Singaporean to be very precious. She felt that marrying a local Singaporean would solve her life's problems. At the time, there was indeed a local Singaporean boy, also a Christian and a member of one of Singapore's largest churches, who was pursuing her.

She was very thankful to God, thinking this was the white horse prince God had prepared for her. Many years have passed, and now she has become a mother of three, but at the beginning of this year, she developed depression, and it was severe. After developing depression, her husband said something to her that was quite saddening: We can't help you; you have to help yourself.

Not long ago, I briefly visited her home and found the house to be filthy. Later, I helped her clean up a corner and asked her to clean other places in the same way. When her husband came home in the evening, he got angry with her and picked up all the garbage I had thrown away. What kind of person is that? To consider garbage a treasure? It would be hard to sell that garbage for a few tens of dollars.

As people live, they either become old maids or old men and continue to live. Why do people end up in such situations? Because their perspective at the time determined the future development of things. That is, how you see things today determines what you will experience in the future. If you experience a lot of bad luck, I'll give you two words: You deserve it. Who told you to take worldly things so seriously?

For example, the sister I recently ministered to, her eyesight is blurred. How old is she? Not even thirty years old. Around thirty years old and she's like this. Why? Isn't she asking for it herself? The root of the problem is really herself. Why do I earnestly tell you to count all things as dung, so that I may gain Christ? Because Jesus Christ is truly the treasure, and the ten thousands of things on earth are truly dung.

What people consider precious in this life is what they will live out. If you consider all things as dung, you will only gain Christ, and you will live out the glorious image of God. If you consider all things as treasures, then just deal with whatever happens to you. So, you must know what is a treasure. What you value is what you will end up with, which means you must understand what is in your head.

In ministry, I like to explore and research problems. After solving a problem, I will understand what the problem was originally. I increasingly find that the problems of the brothers and sisters who come to church today are what is in their heads.

A young man developed depression and bought antidepressants from the pharmacy himself. He even told his mother, You have been brainwashed by these people. Because his mother talked to him about the power of Jesus Christ, he wouldn't listen. I wondered, why wouldn't people clear the garbage in their heads that has already caused them so much trouble? Instead, they call it brainwashing.

It's difficult to bear not washing your hair for two days, let alone three. How smelly would it be if you didn't wash your hair for years? The garbage in your head is not a mission but a shit mission, and the result is a foul smell. What people consider a treasure is a matter of perspective. As for me, I count all things as dung, so that I may gain Christ.

Why? Because I know that Jesus Christ is the answer to all our problems in life. Moreover, Jesus Christ is also the answer to gaining eternal life. I don't think that people just live and die and end up as fertilizer. I think people should live out the glorious image of God until they return to God and gain eternal life.

Of course, what people believe is their own choice. If you feel like don't talk about eternal life, living well in this life is the most important thing, then I can't help it. And I must pour cold water on you, you haven't even lived this life well. What do you do when your child develops depression? In the end, you still have to come and find me. There are too many such things, all because of the filth in the head. You may ask, what does this have to do with the filth in the head? In spiritual matters, everything is related.

Why do I consider Jesus Christ a treasure? Because I know the great power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead. Think about it, if a person can be resurrected from the dead, what else is impossible? Jesus Christ was crucified, died, and buried in a tomb. On the third day, He rose from the dead. A person like Jesus Christ, who has the power of resurrection from the dead and releases the power of God to solve many people's problems, I ask you, what problems does such a person have? No problems.

Some say that people have to have money to live, but since Jesus Christ is able to rise from the dead, is money still a problem? Moreover, if you don't have the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, one disease can wipe out half of your savings, two diseases can leave you penniless, and three diseases can bankrupt you. Hospitals are very expensive.

A short video I saw was very interesting. A person got off the plane, took a taxi, and said he was rich, wanting to go to the most expensive place in Beijing. The taxi driver took him to the hospital, because that is the most expensive place in the city. You can't afford to get sick at all. There is nothing worse than being sick, and there is nothing worse than being broke.

Knowing the Power of Jesus Christ's Resurrection

I want to tell everyone why I gain Christ as treasure? Why do I forsake all things and count them as dung? Because the Bible clearly writes it, and this is consistent with my own beliefs:

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ. (Philippians 3:7-8)

What I used to think was beneficial to me, I now consider it a loss because of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ can let us know His power from resurrection, which is very important.

I often ask people why they have so many children. They answer it's for old age, worrying that no one will take care of them after they get old. That's hard to say. My mother is lucky to have a son like me who can earn money and has the power of Jesus Christ. My mother is doing very well now. Two years ago, she was confused because she had Alzheimer's.

My mother is fine now, more sober than ever, talking and chatting with us, the content is clear. I solved it, relying on the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead. Yesterday, I took her to buy a massager, wanting to honor the elderly. After coming out of the store, my mother jokingly said, If I don't spend money on her, who will spend money on her? This is a very skillful saying.

Knowing the great power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, I know that this is the answer to all problems. If it weren't for Jesus Christ, can you imagine in what situation I would be living today? Then I would be miserable. My mother would be defecating in bed and in her pants, and my brothers and sisters and I would have to take care of her together. But now there's no need, because of Jesus Christ, such problems are gone.

A classmate of mine shared with me during a meal that he had taken care of two paralyzed elderly people, his parents, for the past seven years. After seven years, he finally sent them off. As a result, he developed a whole body of illnesses from taking care of the elderly. His shoulders were sore and ached every day. Fortunately, I have Jesus Christ as treasure, and I like to bless people wherever I go. I was waiting for a suitable opportunity to bless him. During the meal, he really told me about his illness and how painful it was.

I thank my God for letting me know Jesus Christ and knowing His power from the resurrection that allows me to live with dignity today and allows my mother to know Jesus Christ through me and experience the power of Jesus Christ, coming out of Alzheimer's, being incontinent, and being in a confused state.

How did my mother get better? Because I cast out one by one the demons of Alzheimer's from her until now she is well. In fact, people's problems are spiritual problems, but people just don't know it. How can I not regard Jesus Christ as treasure? Seeing my mother's recovery, my heart is full of gratitude. I said, God, I am willing to serve you all my life. You are my Lord, you are everything to me, my life is in your hands. May you greatly use me so that I can become a blessing to many people.

Later, after eating with this classmate, I shook his hand and grabbed his shoulder, and I left without praying for him. The next day, he sent me a message saying, You are really something, you are really amazing! Do you know? When I was eating with you, my shoulder was hurting so badly that it was about to fall off. When you grabbed my shoulder before leaving, it got better!

God, you are so divine! That is my God, because I serve God, serve Jesus Christ, so that the glory of Jesus Christ is manifested throughout the earth through me. I hope that those of you who listen to my nagging can agree with this sentence: Count all things as dung, so that I may gain Christ.

Why are so many people being scammed? This one scammed 700,000, that one scammed 600,000. How many 700,000 do people have in their lifetime? The feeling after being scammed is really uncomfortable. I feel uncomfortable just putting myself in their shoes. Although I count all things as dung, so that I may gain Christ, but if someone scammed me out of 700,000, I would be very distressed. It's all hard-earned money.

But then again, why are people so easily scammed? Isn't it because their heads are full of garbage? A single slip can cause eternal regret. No need for eternal regret, one ancient is enough. There is an online investment project that looks pretty good, and there are even some government documents. Some brothers and sisters immediately believe it and transfer 700,000 to them. From then on, it's like a meat bun hitting a dog, never returning.

What's the reason? It's because we are not clear about the essence of things. But what exactly is the essence of the problem? There was a man named Pilate who was going to crucify Jesus Christ. At that time, he was thinking, What is truth? We must also ask ourselves, why are we being scammed so badly? Because we do not know the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, because we treat the world's dung as treasure, and as a result, we live like this.

Many of our families are basically only children. The parents of the first generation of only children are now in their 60s. What can you expect? Can you expect your children to support you in your old age? They can't afford it. Can you count on the hospital? Hospitals count on making money from you. How much money do you have to spend on them? Seriously ask yourself this question. I'm not trying to brainwash you. I want to clear the garbage in your head.

Some time ago, I ministered to a mother and daughter. The child was in Canada, and the mother was in China. I was wondering, how can she take care of her? Even if the child is by your side, she has the heart but doesn't have the strength! Either she takes care of you and can't work, or she works and can't take care of you. Even if she's by your side, what can she do? Not much.

So, what is the answer to the problem? The answer is that Jesus Christ is the treasure of our lives. If you can walk and move, and a prayer heals you when you are sick, who else do you need? What you need most is Jesus Christ and the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead! If we gain the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, and God is clearly with us, and many people are healed through our ministry, how can we ourselves become a problem?

Only by Gaining Jesus Christ as the Supreme Treasure

Brothers and sisters, you must begin to have a clear understanding of the essence of the problem. Do not think I am lecturing; I truly believe this. I am not deceiving you either; I genuinely regard Jesus Christ as the treasure of my life. As a result, you can see the manifestation of God's power in many things; that is my treasure.

Why do some people find it so difficult to preach the gospel? Because they are not preaching the true gospel. The gospel I preach is the true gospel. The power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead is clearly manifested in us because we truly know God according to His Word. We never distort God's Word; we believe whatever God says. Through our hands, how many people with depression have been healed from despair? Why do people still not grasp it tightly?

Among us, there is a sister whose mother brought her to me because the child had severe depression, was cutting her wrists, jumping off buildings, not sleeping, and causing trouble all day long. I cast out the demons, and her child was healed. But after the child was healed, her reaction was strange. She should have told her child to believe in the Lord well, but she herself ran off to love the world.

Why don't people understand that this is a treasure? She personally saw her child come out of depression, personally saw demons speaking through her child's mouth. How could she not know? But she deliberately pretended not to know. Her child told her to believe in the Lord well, but she refused.

How can people be so foolish? Why not use their brains a little? If her body has problems, her child may have the heart but not the ability, and sometimes not even the heart. If you are the parents of an only child, you may have a hard time in the future. Can you regard knowing Jesus Christ as the supreme treasure today? This is also why I painstakingly advise everyone.

For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their mind on earthly things. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. (Philippians 3:18-21)

Why did Paul write this way? Because he personally saw many people living in sorrow. Why do we believe so much? Because in these years in the world, we have allowed many people to receive grace and blessings through the power of God. Those who have received grace and blessings, such as the mother of the child who was defrauded of 700,000, why don’t they know that Jesus Christ is the supreme treasure? Why do they take their own bellies as God? Why do they take their shame as glory? Why do they set their minds on earthly things?

These earthly things will one day have nothing to do with you, whether you like it or not. What do people who lived five hundred years ago have to do with today's world? The logic system of this world is to take our bellies as God, to eat well, drink well, and have fun. These are all very dangerous things.

The other day, one of our ministry leaders received feedback that a sister had many worldly things inside her. She personally saw what I was doing, and as a result, she went out to play for the past two weeks and was very happy. She took many beautiful photos, but she told her ministry leader that she was on a business trip and was embarrassed to tell the truth. In reality, she was out playing, and she expressed that she wanted to repent.

Breaking the Worldly Value System and Gaining the Mission from Jesus Christ

Do not wait until disaster strikes before remembering God. Do we have a Mingding Destiny from Jesus Christ today? Have we gained a mission from Jesus Christ? We have been polluted by the system of this world. All your problems today are because of this. We often forget God's grace, often do not regard Jesus Christ as the supreme treasure, often take our own bellies as God, often set our minds on earthly things, and often take our own shame as honor. The end result is ruin.

I am not speaking to people in the world who do not know God. I am speaking to our brothers and sisters who believe in the Lord. What do you value? One foot in the world and one foot in the kingdom of God is called cheating. In today's society, it seems like there is no feeling about cheating anymore. The faith of Jesus Christ, polluted by the worldly system, needs to be thoroughly cleansed by us and constantly corrected.

Do we see feces as Jiangmi strips today, or do we really see Jesus Christ as the supreme treasure? We often treat garbage as treasure and treasure as garbage. The Apostle Paul said to count all things as dung in order to gain Jesus as treasure. Why? Because knowing Jesus Christ and knowing the power of His resurrection from the dead is the answer to all our problems.

I have been receiving some videos recently. I saw a video where the church was decorated like a bar, and a group of people danced half-naked on the stage. People commented on this church. That is bringing the logic system of the world into the faith of Jesus Christ. Brothers and sisters must begin to know that in our church, we must thoroughly remove these worldly things. The worldly system has been polluting the church for a long time. We often think that using those things can attract people and save some souls, but is that the right path? The church can only use Jesus Christ to attract people. This is the answer to all our problems.

Do you know what will happen if you take your own belly as God and set your mind solely on earthly things? That is called being an enemy of God. How will you live your life if you become an enemy of God? If God is furious and manifests His wrath on you, what will you use to bear it? Every brother and sister must know that many things happen to us. The problem is not something else, but what is inside us.

Jesus Christ is the Answer to All Our Problems

When we gain Jesus Christ, is money still a problem? Money is no longer a problem. Is disaster still a problem? Disasters are far away from us. What else is a problem? There is no problem.

I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:12-13)

Jesus Christ is the strength in my heart and all my provision. With Jesus Christ, I have gained secrets, and nothing can take away the joy inside us, because the Lord is our joy. What in this world can affect and take away the joy inside us? Many things that we cared about in the past, we no longer care about today. Things that could disturb us in the past can no longer disturb us now. We focus solely on the kingdom of God and solely on Jesus Christ as our supreme treasure. What else can stop us from striving to pursue?

Precisely because of this, we often feel that we have not fully obtained it, that we have not become perfect, so we strive to pursue, strive to pursue doing new things for Jesus Christ every day, being constantly renewed in Jesus Christ, and running straight toward the goal set before us, eager to be a blessing to all nations and peoples on earth.

May more people through you and me come to know Jesus Christ and experience the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead. Let us be able to carry this hope through Jesus Christ, hoping that our lowly bodies will one day be transformed into glorious bodies. When that day comes, what a glorious day it will be. Because of this hope, we despise all shame in the world, and a crown of glory will be reserved for us in the future. In this world, all things, all hardships, and all difficulties are no longer a problem.

I wish that our brothers and sisters could have the same vision as me, to regard all things as dung, and only gain Jesus Christ as the supreme treasure. Because that is the answer to all the problems in our lives, and all problems, because of the power of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, become the reason for manifesting God's glory.

In the process of speaking, everyone may not understand the worldly system very well, so I will add a little more.

For example, some sisters like to buy bags. What do you do with so many bags? You don’t need that much at all. Some people like to buy a lot of clothes. What do you do with so many clothes? Many people like to invest. Investment is OK, but if people focus solely on earthly investment, you have no way to regard Jesus Christ as the supreme treasure.

A few days ago, I served my sister. She had severe pain under her ribs, and she grimaced in pain. We prayed for her for a long time, and it was very difficult, with almost no progress. I reminded her to let go of her worldly system. She likes to store her clothes, making a lot of beautiful clothes, but how many pieces can a person wear in their lifetime? Later, I gradually cleaned up and removed her worldly system one by one, and her pain disappeared.

Why do people love things in the world because of the worldly system and cause themselves such great pain? In fact, the worldly system is too extensive, almost in every aspect of our lives.

We value our children going to college, which seems to be a matter of course, but precisely because of going to college, we push our children to the edge of pain. Because we think that if we don’t go to college, there will be no future and no hope. Many things that we think are worldly systems, although they have good hopes, bring about corrupt results.

Everyone should think carefully, you will clearly know the corrupt results that these things ultimately bring. May God bless everyone!
