First Point: Choosing Books
Anticipate future needs (3 months, 6 months, 1 year); be prescient, and select reading material based on these needs.
Scripture: Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint.
God's task for humanity is stewardship. People need to manage their time.
Scripture: Making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.
Recognizing the existence of a problem is the beginning of solving it; identify the problem, then learn to solve it; learning requires reading.
The church is a place for training people. To be able to speak effectively, one must read.
When reading the Bible, understand the theme the author intends to convey.
Read the Bible with questions in mind.
Second Point: How to Improve Reading Efficiency
Scripture: Titus 3:14 Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for daily necessities and not live unproductive lives.
Basic education trains fundamental abilities—learning to think. The fundamental task of the church is to train people's ability to think. Cultivate the habit of thinking.
Laying a solid foundation is important; be grounded, do not be superficial; do not be impatient, lay a good foundation no matter what, and train your ability to think and read.
The foundation is the most basic principles.
Need to develop the ability to read quickly.
The ability to learn is the most important.
Third Point: Homework
Scripture: Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
