Introduction
Good morning, everyone. Nowadays, when we pray, many people are healed of this ailment or that. But the question arises, how did they contract so many illnesses in the first place? I tell you, the root of a person's problems lies in what they truly value, whether they cherish the truth, and whether they possess wisdom. Without wisdom, how can one navigate life, only to live through one melodramatic saga after another?
Today, let us seek wisdom in the presence of God. How do we attain wisdom, you ask? By fearing the Lord, for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The Lord will surely guide them in the way they should go, not the path of melodramas, but the path of prosperity and joy. I tell you, if we truly understand the essence of life, we will realize how precious joy is. What good is anything if one lacks joy?
Some people possess great wealth, yet their hearts are filled with sorrow. I find this perplexing. If someone were to give me a billion dollars, I would be at a loss as to what to do with it, for I have not studied investment portfolios. By next year, it might dwindle to eight or nine hundred million. Why the depreciation? Because I wouldn't know what to do. If you asked me to invest in real estate, where would I even begin? It would be a source of great anxiety.
Therefore, our brothers and sisters often lack joy, and a life devoid of joy is truly a wasted life. If people do not fear God, they are quick to question Him when faced with adversity, asking, "Has God made a mistake? Why has He allowed so much evil to fill the earth?" And when not facing adversity, they seek it out, unwilling to live joyfully, always looking for trouble.
There was a couple, the parents of one of our sisters, who longed for each other when apart, but constantly argued when together. The daughter wished to honor her parents, but it seemed their bickering was their form of entertainment. They were unwilling to embrace joy, choosing instead a life filled with pain, or seeking out pain even when it was absent. Is this not strange? The most important piece of wisdom I can share is this: do not fret because of evildoers, for fretting will lead to ruin.
Even if the evildoer sits beside you, do not fret. And if the evildoer is near someone else, and has nothing to do with you, do not fret either. For fretting is a sign of not fearing God. These things happen on earth because God allows them to happen. You must understand that God allows them to happen, and yet you point fingers. "God, why do you allow these things to happen?" But you have no right to ask. "Because I will," says the Lord. "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."
Therefore, the sermon for this Sunday is titled "Psalm 37." Last week's sermon was on "Psalm 25," on fearing God. How do we fear God? By refraining from pointing fingers and questioning, "God, why have you done this?" There is no why. "I will," says the Lord. And if you are unwilling, God's will still prevails.
God allows evildoers to thrive in this world to ensnare those who fret. You may think God is being malicious, but that is simply how He operates. And there is nothing you can do about it. God allows evildoers to thrive in this world to ensnare those who fret. May God grant us wisdom to fear Him and to avoid paths that displease Him.
There was a sister who, in her idleness, started an online question-and-answer forum, only to become confused herself. And those who came to her for answers, whether sent by God or by the devil, ended up answering her questions instead. She had intended to provide answers, but she found herself recounting her childhood experiences, and someone introduced her to the theory of the "original family."
Are there any among us who still believe in the original family theory? If so, discard that rubbish. This sister began to immerse herself in the original family concept, which only led to confusion. The original family is not the truth; it is merely a way to stir up trouble. She ended up talking to her brother for hours, confirming that her parents were indeed wicked and acted improperly. This is incredibly corrupting. After researching the original family for so long, she concluded that her parents had mistreated her. From that point on, her old ailments returned. She had a history of depression, and those with depression often have distorted thinking, believing they are always right and that everyone has wronged them, when in reality, they have wronged more people than have wronged them.
Christians are particularly fond of discussing the original family, which I consider to be a form of blame-shifting. It has nothing to do with anything but yourself. During prayer, I often hear, "Teacher, this part of me is broken, that part of me is broken." But who told you to delve into such things?
I often wonder, to what extent can parents harm their children? You seem to be thriving now. How could your parents' wickedness have allowed you to flourish so well? Given her history of depression, it suggests a deeply insecure and wicked person. How can someone without wisdom navigate life?
Our brothers and sisters must ponder this matter and avoid delving into such murky and chaotic theories. This is not wisdom; it only breeds discontent. Does it make things right to argue with your brother? Your perspective is skewed. I have seen many brothers and sisters filled with resentment. But I tell you, even if you were Joseph, sold into slavery in Egypt, no one could corrupt you, for God controls your destiny. It is not your original family.
I believe there are many corrupting theories in this world. As soon as you hear them, you start to wonder, "Why am I like this? Because my parents didn't provide me with an education." But is education truly a matter of parental support? If one desires to learn, they will find a way. If one is unwilling, nothing will help.
There was a sister who was fond of fretting over the evildoers. Is there evil in the world? Yes. Has it been done to you? Perhaps, perhaps not. But consider this: is fretting over evildoers itself an act of evil? Yes, but fretting is undoubtedly foolish.
Another sister divorced her husband. Many years later, she discovered that her ex-husband had a child with another woman. You are divorced; what does it matter if he has a child with someone else? It has nothing to do with you. But she didn't see it that way. She believed that her ex-husband and his child would compete with her children for the family inheritance. So she started causing trouble.
But she wasn't really troubling others. They dismissed her as a madwoman and ignored her. She was only tormenting herself. Her pastor asked me for advice, and I said, "Let her be. She will learn when she has caused enough trouble." Why must people be so foolish, deliberately making themselves miserable?
I tell you, there are many people like this, far too many. Your son is not really related to you. What is born of the flesh is flesh, just a piece of meat, weighing a hundred pounds or more. Even if that meat were sold, it would not be worth much.
I am deeply saddened by the tragedies of this world. Recently, there was a murder in the United States. I haven't investigated the details thoroughly, but the gist of it is that a couple, a university professor and a homemaker, started buying property and settling down in the United States, eventually joining a fellowship of people from their hometown.
A young man came to study in the United States and met this couple, who allowed him to live in their home. When the pandemic hit, the wife became problematic and picky. I tell you, renting out a house and finding tenants requires caution. If you can't find good tenants, you will be troubled. Landlords who can't find good tenants are also troubled, and tenants who can't find good landlords are even more troubled. The landlady, fearing infection, forbade the boy from going downstairs, keeping him cooped up in his room, which nearly drove him to depression. After a while, the pandemic restrictions eased, and the boy went downstairs, went out for a walk, and then returned. The landlady began to nitpick. The boy couldn't take it anymore and decided to move out, but he couldn't get his deposit back, so he kept filing lawsuits.
It turned out that this couple often did this, frequently refusing to return deposits. The amount was probably several thousand dollars, which is quite a lot. Several people had experienced this, so they sued the couple in court. The court ruled in favor of the landlords, which infuriated the tenants. The young man, in his early twenties, felt resentful, thinking, "I've encountered such bad luck."
One day, the boy couldn't control himself and stabbed the couple to death. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. Now he doesn't have to pay rent, and he doesn't have to worry about earning money. He has food and shelter every day. His problems for the rest of his life are completely solved.
It's a tragedy. I tell you, when people harbor resentment and anger, the devil comes, and they lose their wisdom. By fretting over the evildoers, they quickly become evildoers themselves. Why must people live such difficult lives, either accumulating problems or illnesses, only to make themselves miserable? In life, never seek out trouble.
Brothers and sisters, heed my advice: let go of what is useless. Some people ask, "Teacher, what would you do if you encountered such a situation?" I have actually encountered it before. I paid a deposit, but they wouldn't let me move in. It was very upsetting, as renting a house is difficult. But even if someone has wronged you, do not fret and make yourself miserable. It is important to live a joyful life.
Do not think that God is not in control. God is such a God. He allows you to live in this world as you do, and then He sees if you will seek Him. I must tell you, people are driven into God's church by the devil. People are driven in because life is hard. How else would they seek God? You see, life is vanity of vanities.
And life is filled with either doing evil or being subjected to evil. Being subjected to evil is painful, and doing evil is also painful. And God also works on those who do evil. There was a person named Leah whose child was killed, and she had no money or power. Recently, some children were bullied at school and suffered terribly.
People are so wicked. After the child was killed, the parents petitioned, spending their money on petitions, fighting like guerrillas. Eventually, the mother died, and the father continued to petition alone. He grew old, and then he died. Looking back on his life, it was a life of fretting, filled with extreme pain. A life of petitioning, a life of fretting, filled with hatred. Fretting is so corrupting.
Chinese Mingding Doctrine is the foundation of our faith. We must understand that God's will is sovereign and that He works all things according to His purpose. We must trust in His plan, even when we do not understand it.
Therefore, let us not fret over evildoers, but let us trust in God and seek His wisdom. Let us live lives of joy and peace, knowing that God is in control.
Among us, there are those who harbor resentment, their minds filled with evil. Have you noticed that these individuals do not fare well? If one is constantly resentful, either due to wrongs committed against them or due to unrelated matters, you will find that such people are miserable.

Scripture
Let us read Psalm 37.
Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they will soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday sun.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth. A little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall be no more. But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
The wicked plots against the just, And gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn the sword And have bent their bow, To cast down the poor and needy, To slay those who are of upright conduct. Their sword shall enter their own heart, And their bows shall be broken. A little that a righteous man has Is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the Lord upholds the righteous. The Lord knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. But the wicked shall perish; And the enemies of the Lord, Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away. The wicked borrows and does not repay, But the righteous shows mercy and gives.
For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, But those cursed by Him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore. For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
**The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever. The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, And his tongue talks of justice. The law of his God is in his heart; None of his steps shall slide. The wicked watches the righteous, And seeks to slay him. The Lord will not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him when he is judged. Wait on the Lord, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a native green tree. Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more; Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.
Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; The future of the wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him. (Psalm 37:1-40)
Prayer
God, grant us wisdom and understanding, that we may know the end of the wicked and the righteous. God, help us to see through Your works in this world how blessed are those who trust in You. To see the wicked in this world, like green herbs that wither quickly, like grass that is soon cut down. God, lead us, show us the path You want us to take, and we will follow You. No longer resentful of the deeds of the wicked, nor envious of the gains of those who do unrighteousness, we declare that You are our wealth. God, lead us, grant us wisdom, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Scripture Background
David, throughout his life, judged cases, often dealing with complex lawsuits. For example, bringing a prisoner before him, a young man in his twenties, fair-featured, not quite looking like a criminal. "Are you sure there's no mistake?" Upon inquiry, it was revealed that this young man had murdered a couple. David asked, "Ah, resentment." Why? Because the landlord had sued them over a deposit, but the landlord used a lawyer to defeat them, and the judge ultimately ruled in favor of the landlord. What do you think David felt after seeing this? "Ah, there are so many tragedies in this world." A few days later, court was in session again, the gavel struck, and the criminal was brought forth. Another one filled with resentment. "Oh my goodness, everyone has a story." "Why did I kill them? Because of this and that." It was discovered that resentment was so corrupting, always bringing about tragedies in the world. A few days later, it was the same thing, experiencing these things every day.
When David was old, he said, "I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread." But what he had seen was living out soap operas because of resentment for the wicked. There were too many soap operas, playing out every day. Think about it, judging these things all day, dealing with these people, how tiring is it?
Therefore, the laws of a nation are not made for good people; the nation must carefully study how bad people operate. Studying and studying, they still cannot outsmart the wicked. How clever the wicked are! I tell you, the wicked are much smarter than the righteous. They study the loopholes in the law more clearly than we study the Bible. Ah, is this world really a world of the wicked? Actually, it is not.
Some people say, "Why am I so unlucky, always encountering these things?" Have you ever had this thought? "Why do I always encounter these things?" God allows you to encounter and see these things. Analyzing them, so many soap opera stories, all stemming from resentment for the wicked, anger leading to evil. That's how it is.
So, when David was old and had nothing to do, he had a dream one night, struck the gavel, and brought the wicked before him. "Plaintiff, speak. Defendant, speak." Again, resentment for the wicked. If you observe carefully, you will find that once a person resents the wicked, their IQ is gone. Ah, the next morning, after washing up and dressing, preparing paper and ink—it wasn't paper back then, probably parchment—David picked up his pen and wrote Psalm 37.
If it were my idea, I would make it into a courseware, let everyone read it, and after reading it, give them questions. After the questions, they would have to study, study repeatedly, which parts were wrong, which parts were right, and then use Psalm 37 to teach the people of Israel. Actually, I tell you, harboring resentment in your heart, whether someone has wronged you or not, is a kind of foolishness. Because it only corrupts you, just corrupts you.
You are upset about this thing all day, upset about that thing, upset about everything bad you see. If all you see are bad things, how can you be well? Isn't it? It's difficult. So, when I see bad things, I must see their beautiful future with faith. As a result, when David was old, he said, "Hey, the wicked have their end, and the righteous have their end. This is God's work; you must fear God."
I guess when David wrote this psalm, he was about my age. It's so good to have God. How could we live without God? When I first came to Singapore, I was cheated. If it weren't for God, how many times would I have been cheated? The agent took my money and didn't speak up for me. The landlord took my money and wouldn't let me move in. Ah, it was very difficult. Fortunately, I had God, and later avoided these soap operas. It's so good to have God; it's truly comfortable in my heart. Never ask, "Why are there so many wicked people? God, what were you doing?" That's how God works; if you don't know God's work, you can only blame your ignorance. Don't ask, "Why is he so rich even though he doesn't believe in the Lord?" The reason they haven't been punished is because your vision is too short. What does it matter to you that the wicked have money? Don't be envious of those who do unrighteousness; it has little to do with you. And don't ask what advantages we believers have; your vision is too shallow.
The most important thing in life is joy; life is not about accumulating wealth. I wonder how many people who accumulate wealth are happy. Every mansion, every luxury home, has many soap operas behind it, doesn't it? Every listed company has many soap operas behind it.
If a Christian does not see far enough, only seeing an inch before their eyes, that kind of vision is called shortsighted. So, how important it is for brothers and sisters to gain wisdom! Li Ao had a saying, "Behind every successful person, there is not vicissitude but filth." If you are not bad from a young age, you cannot rise; you must be bad enough from a young age, right? Ruthless and bad enough.
This world is like that; you will see many wicked people in power. Otherwise, where would so many corrupt officials come from? Now I understand, it actually has nothing to do with us, because our wealth is God. So David wrote the summary of his life, telling us the most beautiful experiences. I don't know if he wrote Psalm 37 to his son Solomon or to the people of Israel.
Think about it, what would the people of Israel do after reading Psalm 37? "Hey, David, you say this stuff, it's easy for you to say." "Do not fret because of evildoers; I just want to fret because of evildoers." A few days later, they came to see David, and David struck the gavel, bringing the criminal before him. "Ah, I just read Psalm 37, and then I went and did evil, right?" So, when we brothers and sisters read Psalm 37, we are listening to David's earnest teachings.
Learn to Observe, Have Wisdom
I often talk about learning; I have probably been talking about learning for five years. Observing and observing, I have found that all problems ultimately come down to the issue of learning. Why is it an issue of learning? If they have no knowledge, no wisdom, how can they not be like this? "Ah, teacher, I have been so busy lately, I am so overwhelmed, I have no time, I don't even have time to fold my quilt, my bed is like a pigsty."
What are you busying yourself with? Turns out, learning is the issue. What others learn in an hour, he needs ten. Can he not be busy? What others accomplish in an hour, he takes six. Can he not be busy? Lacking knowledge, lacking wisdom, and without observation, a person becomes disoriented. Without observation, without learning, one does not know how others do things.
Now, observe carefully how David did things, learn from and observe David. You will find that from youth to old age, you have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor their descendants begging for bread. I tell you, many things require learning. But what exactly is learning? Do you all know that learning is always learning from others? A self-righteous person finds it hard to learn.
People sometimes readily display their foolishness to the fullest extent. Therefore, one must learn. For example, the experts in plastering walls. If we want to plaster walls, we should learn from them, learn from those who plaster smoothly. Do you understand? If a person lives in turmoil, quickly learn from those who are joyful. If you observe me closely, you will surely see one thing: this fellow does things interestingly, never in a rush, nor carelessly. He does things meticulously, without being hurried, accomplishing much and solving many problems. Because I plan my work. Could I do well without a plan? If I don't know how to plan, I will learn to plan.
If I don't know how to plan, I won't write a plan; and without writing a plan, I will be even less able to plan. Can you avoid being chaotic? Surely you will be chaotic. Once in chaos, joy disappears, nothing goes right, yet one becomes self-righteous, thinking they are doing great things, imagining they have accomplished much. So sometimes when I say these things, people may not understand.
You know I don't remember these toils, only the accomplishments. Toil is useless; if one toils and errs, it is very hard work, but what is the use? It has no effect. Therefore, one must have wisdom. Then you will see God's retribution. The retribution for the wicked will not be lacking, simply because you have not lived long enough to see it. After we learn, we begin to observe the end of people.
Think about it, if a person does wrong and does not learn, adding self-righteousness, so busy that they miss meals to write Bible study notes, how low must their efficiency be? For a project, a small, insignificant project, it is so difficult. The plan doesn't even require the fingers of both hands; one hand is enough to count it out. Then they are overwhelmed. Shouldn't you realize you are doing something wrong?
Ignorance is truly deadly, and coupled with self-righteousness, one cannot learn. So I tell you, everything you do clearly is learned. Everything you learn will not overwhelm you, because you are competitive in that industry, in that matter, always ahead. Anything not learned, conceived from one's own head, will surely be chaotic.
David studied and studied, and he decided to delight himself in the Lord, to take joy in the Lord. Doesn't joy save a lot of trouble? Why do you have so many illnesses? Because you are anxious all day long. How can you not be sick? Why do you have bipolar disorder, a tightness in your chest? You don't learn all day long. How can you not feel tightness? Therefore, Chinese Mingding Doctrine speaks of a theology of learning.
What is the purpose of being discontent? David studied it thoroughly: discontent is useless, only useful for sinning. Discontent is a very, very big pit. If you want to jump into the pit, you can jump in peacefully, but you will not be peaceful in the end. It feels peaceful when you jump, but not after you jump in. Learning is very important. You must analyze clearly why you are so busy, why you are so chaotic. Is it because you have no plan? How can it not be chaotic without writing a plan? If others do something in an hour and you take ten, wouldn't that be foolish? Isn't that so?
Discontent Corrupts Oneself
Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they will soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. (Psalm 37:1-2)
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret—it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. (Psalm 37:8-9)
Discontent corrupts oneself; there will be turmoil inside. If you live to be a hundred years old, that's over thirty thousand days. Nursing takes up two years. Then schooling takes up several years, working, retirement, and then subtracting eating and sleeping, what's left is all discontent. If your heart is filled with anger, you are only corrupting yourself. What is the use?
Have you noticed that people who talk a lot are chaotic? Teacher, you talk a lot, but my words are not chaotic. When people are chaotic, they talk a lot. Then they get into a cycle of language, because there is anger inside. Because I said they are foolish, and they really are foolish. I said you are so foolish, your efficiency is very low. Then you need to improve efficiency. I said you are so foolish, your efficiency is very low, you need to improve efficiency. But they can't listen, they can't listen at all. They only think about themselves, and they talk a lot. "Oh, I feel it's like this," and then it's like that. "Oh, what I did wasn't wrong, what I did was okay, it was right." A lot of talk. Then I will say, "What's the use of saying all this?" This is a very good phrase: "Useless." Meaning, what's the use of saying so much? No use at all.
Because it's all off-the-cuff, confusing and disorienting themselves. So never be self-righteous. If you are confused, go learn. If you are muddled, clarify things. It's that simple. When emotions are stirred up, the whole person becomes chaotic. What is the benefit? Discontent, then impulsively doing evil, and then going to jail.
I tell you, doing evil is arranged by God, and falling is also arranged by God. If you are discontent, you deserve it. God has arranged it that way. After it is arranged, if you examine it carefully, you will find that many things are full of murky stuff. So discontent is because you don't see far enough. All things have God's judgment.
Wait for God
Perhaps you think, "Why hasn't God punished him yet?" God is actually punishing, but you just haven't lived long enough. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
Wait on the Lord, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. (Psalm 37:34)
Can you see it? Surely you can see it. So never rush up. Why do you do evil? If you rush up, he will kill you. God cannot protect you either. God didn't ask you to interfere. You must know that all things on earth are just a play, each playing their part. When you get backstage and take off the makeup, it's just a play. When we watch this play, or act in this play, don't get too into it, and don't get too deeply involved. People in this world, hey, playing this role now, playing that role tomorrow, it's all God's arrangement.
So everyone should learn to wait for God. Those who wait for God will find wisdom in their hearts, and you will surely see the end of the righteous and the wicked. Everyone should carefully look at the end of the wicked. There are many stories. Without these wicked people, where would so many stories come from? Waiting for God is waiting for God to judge those wicked people. It's not that you are discontent; you must have peace in your heart. When you watch the play from the audience, don't be so excited. If you smash it at the beginning, how can the play continue? It can't be performed. So wait for God. God has arranged a play, allowing us to clearly see God's greatness and God's wisdom.
Our Salvation Is from God
If you read the entire chapter, you will find that it is actually talking about the wicked and the righteous. If you trust Him before God, you are a righteous person, and you will surely be saved. I have not seen, and David has not seen the righteous forsaken. I have not seen the descendants of the righteous begging for food. So I tell you, those who trust in God lack no good thing. Our salvation is from God.
Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; for the future of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble. The Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him. (Psalm 37:38-40) Did David see many melodramatic events in his life? Yes, many. He saw the end of those who did not rely on God and did not fear God, and there were many of those too. He himself judged many cases, and they were all these kinds of cases. What was the final outcome? David said with faith: "The wicked shall be cut off," because he knew it was all God's doing.
So our salvation is from God. Do you want to trust in God well? You must fear God well. Never think that if you do an evil deed, it will be okay tomorrow. Are you kidding? If you plant a curse, it will be okay tomorrow? Eventually, it will bear the fruit of a curse.
Brothers and sisters, I tell you, those who lack work should fear God well. Those who are sick should fear God well. Many things are caused by the evil within us, and a large part of it is because of judgment, either judging the evil we have personally experienced, or judging evil done to others that has nothing to do with us. If we judge ourselves, we become wicked people, people who are forsaken. What is the benefit?
Conclusion
Why should people fear God? Because God has arranged all this. Don't be clever, don't be discontent because of evildoers. That is the fear of God. When you encounter trouble, the wicked will do evil to you, but the Lord will be a shield around you. He will deliver us from trouble. It is not because you are discontent that you can escape trouble. Discontent only invites trouble. But if you rely on God, He will deliver us from the wicked.
Do you understand this time? It is not that you will escape the wicked because you are discontent, but that God will save us from the wicked. He saves us because we trust in Him. So if a person lives like this, it will surely be a joyful life. Some people say, "Others have taken advantage of me." Then let them take advantage, and bless them. God can control everything. Never put your hope in money. It is best for people to put their hope in God and fear Him throughout their lives. May God bless everyone, Amen!
