Introduction
Good day, everyone. Today, I am sharing a rather simple topic, The blind receive sight. My previous sermons have been quite taxing, but this one did not keep me up till six in the morning. I had a good night's sleep last night. Why? Because I finished the draft early. I have experience in the blind receiving sight, and why do I have this experience? Because I have truly made the blind see.
I read the word of God, and I said, The blind can see, what kind of gospel is this? Moreover, I have a pursuit, which is to do as Jesus did. I may not be able to do what Jesus could do, but I really want to do it. I have this simple pursuit in my heart. That is why the church was not victorious for many, many years. Why? Because the demon that blinds eyes is not some great demon.
Once, I attended a Christian breakfast meeting. Because I did not have many things to do at the time, my only job was to serve God. Back then, I did not know how to serve God. When I saw a Christian breakfast meeting, I went. You know, what Christians like most about breakfast meetings is not sharing the word of God but the breakfast afterwards.
At breakfast meetings, everyone chats, they like to gossip, and I like to enjoy the food. Did you think only you know how to enjoy food? Singapore is called a food paradise. If you want Mexican, there is Mexican. If you want French, there is French. There is also Malay and Indonesian. God created a mouth for me to enjoy food, so I cannot waste it.
As a result, while having breakfast and drinking coffee, a brother next to me said, Pastor, do you know? The doctor said that my eyes will be completely blind in a year. When I looked at him, oh my goodness, he was in despair. If a doctor gave you a judgment saying that your retinal nerve is necrotic, and you will go blind in a year, what would you do? Oh, my heart!
Just two days earlier, I had read The blind can see. Jesus made the man born blind to see! I wanted to try it. Let me brag first. I said to him, Do you know? This pastor of mine, everyone I have prayed for who is blind has seen. Oh my goodness! The effect was immediate after I said it. He was filled with hope, and he really wanted me to pray for him.
I said, Come, let me lead you in prayer. Put your hand on your eyes. The first time I prayed, I said, In the name of Jesus Christ, let the eyes be opened. After taking his hand down, he said that it was still the same. Everything was blurry, like severe smog. I said, Put your hand on your eyes again. In the name of Jesus Christ, let the eyes be opened, and the evil spirit that blurs eyesight, go away. As a result, it was still the same after taking his hand down.
I said, Brother, the blind people I have ministered to all said the same thing, but they all saw later. Do you know what I was doing? I was pushing his faith up again. As a result, for the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth times, for a total of five minutes, about half a minute each time, when he took his hand down for the last time, he said, Wow, I see it, I can see clearly.
I was very surprised at the time. I thought God was particularly humorous. God really did not want to hit me. God really favored me. The first time I did healing and deliverance, my faith exploded, and I was very happy. Later, I always wanted to get this kind of five-minute vision, which would be great, but it was gone.
I began to ponder this matter. I said, God, you are so humorous. The first time, you had mercy on me, let me have faith. Why is it so slow later? Oh, it was so difficult. Once I ministered and persisted for nine months. Every time I led that brother in prayer, I would scold him. Why? Because he had too many bad habits.
One day, when his eyes could see, he brought a box of more than 20 pounds of fruit from afar. When I picked him up at the train station, the two of us cried when we hugged. Can you imagine how great a grace it is for a blind person to be able to see! How great a grace it is for a lame person to be able to walk! Thank God! I will never give up! I will never give up on dealing with people's bad habits! Why? Because people are too dirty inside.
Later, there was a sister whose parents were very devout believers. Her mother got up at five in the morning to pray, and it is said that she prayed for five or seven hours. Her parents were actually quite muddled. They lost money in business and always blackmailed them with the grace of raising them, demanding that they borrow usury to pay off her parents' debts. As a result, this sister's eyes were also about to go blind, and everything she saw was dark.
I ministered to her for a year, but it did not get better. I said it would be better this year, but it did not get better this year. I declared with faith, and I was embarrassed to declare it. Later, she was gradually released from the emotional blackmail in the family and became stronger and stronger. Last night, I confirmed it. I said, How are your eyes? She said, Teacher, it has been completely healed since the last prayer. Oh, I thanked God. We have too many examples of making the blind see.
Sometimes God deliberately trains our faith. If one day does not work, then two days. If two days do not work, then two weeks. Every time someone is healed, I feel that things come so quickly. You may think, What, do you want to drag it on for a while? No, I am telling you, when people are healed, oh, they are so grateful that tears come out.
I thirst for brothers and sisters to be released every day! What does God ask of us? It is to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God. I thank God that God has given me a soft heart. When I see such things, I will never retreat. If I retreat, what will you do? What will this brother and sister do? How will they live the rest of their lives? So I minister! In my faith, diabetes will be healed! The blind will be able to see! The lame will be able to walk! Lumbar and cervical vertebrae are not a problem, they are small things, this is my faith.
One day, a person came with almost no black eyeballs. It is scary for a person to have no black eyeballs. God created the eyes so beautifully. When I asked her what happened, she said that she had packed two servings of noodles home that day. When she opened the door, the door was locked. No matter how she knocked, it would not open. After a while, her husband came out of the house with a woman. She was so angry that she made herself blind. Oh, is this worth it? It is not worth it at all.
When she came to us, she had almost no black eyeballs in her eyes. I am telling you, do you believe that God will make her eyes see? Our brothers and I ministered to her together. Of course, I ministered less, and our brothers ministered more. It took a long time. The black eyeballs in her eyes began to gradually come out, and finally she got well.
Do you think I am qualified to say the blind receive sight? So when you listen to my sermon, I do not talk about what others do, I talk about what I do. But it is abominable. The physical eyes are healed, but the spiritual eyes are not opened. Do you know how muddled this person is? She said to another sister among us, Why are you still giving offerings? Don't be silly. Do you understand what this means? What kind of brain is this? How much money can buy the sight of the eyes?
Now I will talk about the meaning of offering. Actually, offering is not that God lacks that money, and the church lacks that money. God is not supported by you, and the church is not supported by your offerings. Why do we give offerings? Because offering declares one thing, that we live by God, not by money. Since we live by God, we will act according to God's word.
Moreover, offering is blessed. It is not something else; it is an investment, with a return, and the return is extremely generous. But people just have their physical eyes healed, but their spiritual eyes are not opened. It is a great tragedy if the physical eyes cannot see. Of course, I do not want you to become a blind person and open your spiritual eyes all day long. I really want your physical eyes to be healed and your spiritual eyes to be opened, because what Jesus Christ did was to make both the physical eyes see and the spiritual eyes see.
You know, eyes are very interesting things. Some people can see things in the spiritual realm. For example, my mother, after my mother had Alzheimer's disease, she saw things every day. You know, ordinary people would say, Oh, she is confused again. I do not say that. My mother has a good relationship with me. I do not think she is confused. I think she is clear.
When she said she saw this, I looked for pictures of that animal. I said, Is it like this? She said, Yes, it is like this. She saw thousands of dung beetles rolling dung balls. She also saw small crabs. She saw many things. I believe what she said, because that is what she saw in the spiritual realm. I would not say that my mother is confused. I think the things she described are all things in the spiritual realm.
So brothers and sisters, do not say that old people are confused, because when you say they are confused, they feel very uncomfortable and hard in their hearts. You must know how real the things in the spiritual realm are. There are some people who can see the things in the spiritual realm, and then after I drove away the demons, they returned to their days of loving the world after they returned to normal. I said, what kind of brain is this?
If you open your spiritual eyes, you will know that disasters are closely related to the spiritual realm; diseases are closely related to the spiritual realm; I am sorry, diseases are also closely related to the spiritual realm, and many things are closely related to the spiritual realm. Brothers and sisters, I have ministered to you for so long, you have listened to my sermons for so long, and you still do not have spiritual vision, where is your future? The eyes see things and that is vision. Some people can see, but they cannot see; some people cannot see, but they can see. The blind can see, but those who can see are blind, this is what Jesus once said.
One day Abraham and his adopted son, why is he called adopted son? Actually, he was his nephew. Abraham's brother died, and his brother's son followed Abraham. Abraham took this son, thinking he was his own son. But this son was a bit muddled and had no vision. He did not know that his blessing was related to Abraham.
When his cattle and sheep increased, his herdsmen often quarreled with his foster father's herdsmen. You were raised by others, so you should train your herdsmen to be humble and not say nonsense. That would be the end of it. As a result, Abraham drove him away. Abraham proposed it first. You can check the Bible. He said, Child, isn't the whole land before you? If you choose to go south, I will choose to go north. If you choose to go east, I will choose to go west. If you choose to go left, I will choose to go right. You choose first.
Lot stood in that place, looked into the distance, and saw what? He did not see it. He only saw the plain of the Jordan River, the land of Sodom and Gomorrah. Oh, that place is good, the grass is good, the water is good, the scenery is good, and the climate is good. What did he see? He saw the environment, he saw the grass, he saw the money, he saw the real estate. Oh, what a tragedy.
If he had not seen these things at that time, but had seen nothing, would he not have gone? He did not know there was such a song at that time, Nothing to My Name. As a result, he saw money, real estate, investment, and opportunities, so he went. Later, he had nothing. If he knew the future, how could he have left Abraham?
I am telling you, Lot was corrupted by his wife. Actually, Lot did not really want to leave, but Lot's wife's vision was really bad. When Lot's wife came out of Sodom, she looked back and turned into a pillar of salt. What are you looking at? Let's not look around indiscriminately. Looking around indiscriminately will cause problems. When we were in college, some people looked around indiscriminately. You say it was not easy to get into a famous university, but they laid on the window and looked at the girls' dormitory. What are you looking at? You really have no vision. What can you see?
You know, people's eyes are amazing. Some people's eyes are skewed. And it is not just ordinary skewness. A sister came to us, she had some problems with her eyes, so let's pray well. No prayer, go to the hospital. When the doctor at the hospital looked at her, he checked her eyes and had to inject a needle into her eyes first before he could verify what was wrong with her eyes. When I heard that a needle had to be injected into the eyes, I thought, let's forget it.
As a result, the doctor told her in advance that her eyes might be uncomfortable, but she did not know how uncomfortable they would be. When she returned home, she was dizzy for three days and could not get up at all. The world was spinning, and everything she saw was an S-curve. You say, why did you do that in the first place? Just an examination turned her eyes into an S-curve, and her eyes became a funhouse mirror, and everything she saw was skewed. She came to us for prayer.
If you had this faith earlier, it would be great if you believed in the gospel that the blind can see earlier! I can tell you, the gospel of Jesus Christ is that the blind can see, and later, after prayer, she recovered completely. Later, she went to the hospital to make trouble, but the hospital ignored her. Although her eyes could see, she was still blind in her spirit.
Do you think this is very mysterious? It is not mysterious. The gospel of Jesus Christ is such a gospel. If the gospel you believe in is not such a gospel, if you feel that this does not seem right, you should try more. It is not too difficult, really not difficult. You have to become a person who practices faith. Mingding Destiny is a theology practiced. We do what Jesus Christ says. After doing it, we see that it is really good!
Someone typed, my stepmother is the director in the hospital, and now the economy is bad, and the hospital's performance is not good. The hospital forces doctors to meet business targets every day, giving doctors targets and asking them to prescribe expensive medicines for patients. If patients can be hospitalized, they will be hospitalized. They persuade the family members of ICU patients not to pull out the tubes and allow patients to stay in the hospital for a few more days. They ask doctors to arrange things like that as much as possible. Doctors have to learn speaking skills to improve their sales capabilities.
Now you all know? Mingding Destiny, believe in God's word, God's word is established in heaven and will never change; if God's word is not fulfilled on this earth, it will never suddenly return! Now everyone has the gospel, how great are the benefits of this gospel, you go practice it, and you will find that the name of Jesus Christ surpasses all names in the world. Our salvation includes making the blind see.
If one day you want to minister to someone who is about to go blind, you will know that the eyes in his spirit are fundamental. You have to solve the eyes in his spirit. You have to enlighten him. It is important to enlighten him with understanding. Don't think that I persist one minute more than the devil, it is useless. In the end, the truth sets people free, so you have to study the Bible in this way. If you listen to me study the Bible, after listening to it for a long time, you will not be able to listen to anything else.
The eyes of faith are about the future. Through these eyes of faith, you can make the blind see and the dead be free in the truth. The blind receiving sight is an important component of the gospel. I am telling you that it will be 100% good. Really? You won't know until you try, this is an important part of the gospel. It is not the spiritual eyes, but the physical eyes that can really see oh. Because Jesus did not heal a spiritual eye, nor did he heal a belly button, but he healed someone who was born blind to see. Believe in God, God will let none of the words you say fall to the ground.
Later, I was thinking, why is this? One day, I read the Book of Samuel, and God let none of the words that Samuel said fall to the ground. Oh my goodness! I said, I want it too, I want it too. Can you not want to see something good? I said, God, may you also let none of the words I say fall to the ground. God will accomplish what you see; God will accomplish what you believe.
Open your eyes and stop being blind! The poor will become rich, and you must have a rich mindset; the foolish will become wise; the dishonourable and lowly will become honourable; the bound will be freed; the sick will be healed and become healthy. In my faith, we brothers and sisters can all live out the glorious image of God. Oh, how great this is.
You say, Oh, there is only one Samuel. No, it does not matter if there are two more Samuels, it does not matter if there are ten thousand more Samuels. God wishes there were ten thousand or ten million, the problem is whether you want to trust God like Samuel? You have to learn to exercise faith! You have to believe, you are a Samuel, start believing now. You say, God, I also want to be this kind of person. Actually, that is how I came here.
You ask me, Did you know you were a Samuel from the beginning? I do not know, I really do not know. But I really want to be, I really want to be like Jesus, and as I thought about it, it was accomplished. I long to be able to see the future. It would be great if people could see the future. I especially want to have this ability, and as a result, I have it.
Because in my faith, I see this blind person, he has already seen, at a future moment he has seen. Not only can he see, but he can also see a bright future. Amen! Open the eyes of your faith, see God's plan, see God's good will for you, and you will really change in the future. When you change, do not forget that this is in God's grace, and you must still serve God with joy and willingness.
Scripture
Let's look at Luke 4:16-21.
And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. (Luke 4:16-21)
Prayer
God, also let this scripture be fulfilled in our ears today. Today, you want to restore your actions in this generation, in these years. God, may your glory fill the whole earth, may you raise us up in this generation to imitate Jesus Christ, and also be able to boldly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, God, you want to anoint me, you want to call me to preach the gospel to the poor.
You want to send me to report that the captives are released, the blind can see, and those who are oppressed are free. Report the acceptable year of the Lord. God, your word is established in heaven and will never return empty. God, raise us up to imitate Jesus and preach the pure gospel. May the words we speak and the sermons we preach not be persuasive words of wisdom, but the demonstration of the power of your Holy Spirit. As your word says, may it also be fulfilled today. In the name of Jesus Christ! Amen!
Scripture Background
Jesus Christ grew up in Nazareth. His childhood playmates were all in the synagogue. Jesus also came, and maybe when he walked in, someone patted Jesus on the shoulder and said, Hi, you little rascal. Because in his growing up process, he was also in the village, saying, You little rascal, come here. The stool in our house is broken, come and fix it.
Today Jesus went into the synagogue. Jesus was still the same as before, maybe his hairstyle changed. At that time, Jesus was famous. He went to the Jordan River to be baptized, fasted and prayed, was tempted by the devil, experienced some things, and then he returned to Galilee with great power and full of the power of the Holy Spirit, and his name spread throughout the four directions. This passage does not know whether it was after turning water into wine or before turning water into wine.
Were there any blind people in that village? There should be. Did Jesus make that blind person see? It seems not yet. Then has the event of making the blind see been accomplished? I do not know. Then Jesus declared in the synagogue: Today this scripture is fulfilled in your ears.
Then the childhood playmates who grew up with Jesus were puzzled, Isn't this Jesus who played mud with me as a child? Why are you suddenly telling us that this scripture is to be fulfilled in our ears? What are you going to do? Are you going to make the blind see? Are you the son of God or the nephew of God? Everyone was very confused. But these words are good, the captives are released, the blind can see, and the oppressed are free, that must be a good thing.
Do you know why Jesus spoke like this? At this time, Jesus already knew what He came to do: to accomplish a Gospel. Why did Jesus speak like this? Jesus was afraid that later people would change the Gospel, and the church would either become a platform for various opinions or a philosophical forum. How did the Gospel of God become like that?
Some time ago, I was idle and went online to search. After searching, I listened to many sermons about the blind receive sight, but after listening, how come there was no incident of the blind receiving sight? So I decided to preach one about the blind receiving sight as well. What did Jesus come to do? To preach the release of the captives, the recovery of sight to the blind, the liberation of the oppressed, and to preach such a Gospel. This is what the Gospel looks like, and this form cannot be changed. This is the Gospel preached by Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, I have come, and what I will accomplish, through my blood sacrifice on the cross and resurrection on the third day, is this Gospel. But throughout the ages, there have been other versions of the Gospel that don't mention the blind receive sight event. Yet, Jesus really did make the physically blind see.
If Jesus only opens people's spiritual eyes and not their physical eyes, then we will believe in opening only spiritual eyes, not physical ones. But actually, Jesus opened people's physical eyes. In the Bible, it is recorded that there was a man born blind who came to Jesus.
His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” (John 9:2-5)
The blind can see the light of God, and God is a God of hope, the light of the world. As it turns out, the blind man really saw, it wasn't a fake sight. You might say, How good it would be if God made his spiritual eyes see! But the physical eyes also need to see. Consequently, Jesus gave us a demonstration. Later, in Jericho, several blind men also saw through Jesus. I want to see. And God made him see. You must desire it; you must desire to receive the benefits of this Gospel through Jesus Christ.
Chinese Mingding Destiny is a God who builds the body of Jesus Christ; Chinese Mingding Destiny is a theology that builds God's glorious church; Chinese Mingding Destiny is a theology that restores the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After we practiced it, we found that it is really so. But why don't people practice it and instead talk about irrelevant things? And then they concoct a title, The Blind Receive Sight, as if they really thought the blind would receive sight, but this Gospel is truly a Gospel that makes the blind see!
This Gospel is a Gospel that Makes the Blind See
That's the key! Did all those blind people who came to Jesus see? They all saw. If you carefully examine the Bible, the blind will surely see as long as they come to Jesus. I ask you, are they worthy to see? They are not worthy, but God made them all see. Why do I say this? Because whoever came to Jesus with any kind of sickness was healed.
Jesus’ demonstration clearly illustrates one thing: not just spiritual eyes, but physical eyes can really see. If a person is blind, it’s really no joke; it’s very hard. I haven’t been blind, but when I see someone blind, I feel very sad. So, our brothers and sisters, know that this Gospel is a Gospel that makes the blind see.
If you meet someone who is blind and willing to receive the benefits of this Gospel, you can pray with him, and he can see. Jesus is particularly interesting; He finds the most difficult case, the one born blind! Jesus let the one born blind see. What could be more difficult than this? Nothing is more difficult than this. Your little matters are all trivial matters.
Raise your faith! You must be a person of faith! I tell you, if Jesus Christ appears again in our midst, he will say, You of little faith! Unbelieving people! Unbelieving generation! It's all these words. Do you really believe now? I believe. I believe in the Word of God; the Gospel of God should be as it is. As Jesus did, so should we do.
Therefore, I thank God that for all those who have problems with their eyes, arms, legs, waists, and necks, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is good news. So I often say, how good is our Gospel of Jesus Christ? Don't believe this good Gospel as a bad Gospel; don't believe the true Gospel as a false Gospel.
This Gospel is so good; can it be eaten as food? Yes. Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Can it be used as medicine? Yes! Can it be used as money? Yes! All our needs are met in Jesus Christ. He is my provider, He is my God, He is my high tower, He is my comfort, He is my refuge, He is my hope, He is my everything.
Listening to me speak like this, do you want to make a choice? I want to love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul, and strength! If you were me, having experienced so much, what would you choose? From the time I was young, when I first knew God until today, I know that I can do without anything, but I cannot do without my God.
I must love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, because He is my everything. I live for Him, and I am willing to die for Him, and I am willing to offer myself completely. This is my destiny. This is really a good life. Do you think you’re at a disadvantage? You are at a great advantage. This Gospel is the Gospel that makes the blind see.
The Blind Receiving Sight is Actually Not a Difficult Thing
If you think it's difficult, then I want to tell you it's not a difficult thing, it's just faith! I am a person who particularly likes to practice faith. When I first started practicing faith, it wasn't about healing someone blind; it was about colds, noses, arms, stiff necks, all that stuff. At first, every single thing tormented me enough. It wasn't the kind of thing that would be healed with a snap of the fingers. How could there be such a simple thing? Every time, it was a battle with demons, healing the sick and casting out demons.
There was one person with a backache, and no matter how I prayed, it didn't get better. Later, I hardened my faith, You little thing, I can't deal with you? One day it got better. Then another person with a backache came, and it got better faster and faster. Why? Because the demon had become an old acquaintance. When it saw me coming, it thought, Oh, hurry up and leave. I was beaten down last time, and I'll have to be beaten down this time. Do you understand? Every time there is an improvement in spiritual truth and spiritual height, you can defeat a bigger demon. So, relying on faith, constantly practice in faith.
Actually, many years ago, my father got pneumonia. Thinking about it now, it's a bit of a regret. Why? Because at that time, I didn't have this kind of ability. At that time, my faith was really too bad, so I suffered a lot. If I had the faith I have today, my dad's little cold would be nothing, wouldn't it?
The blind receiving sight is actually not a difficult thing, not much different from a cold or fever, because that's what this Gospel says. I tell you, practice it more! This Gospel is the power of God to save everyone who believes. It’s just this logic. What kind of power is this Gospel? It is the power to make the blind see! It is the power to raise the dead! It is the power to make those born blind see! Many people do not receive grace because of unbelief!
So now I have a little regret. Why? I was too busy with work in those years, and I really shortchanged myself. Was I too busy with work and not loving God? I loved God, but I always felt that the work had to be finished. Actually, I tell you, even if you don't finish it, the sky won't fall. We must now know that the blind receiving sight is not a difficult thing.
The Blind Receiving Sight is to Display the Works of God
What exactly are the works of God? The works of God really heal people. Being blind is not grace; the blind being able to see is grace. For example, if a blind person comes to me and I say, Blindness is a grace from God, I really can't say that. I want to say, You can definitely see!
God is our light, and the works of God are to become our hope. Our faith is not built on a philosophy, a wise and tactful word; our faith is built on the works of God, and the works of God are to make the blind see. Jesus’ disciples said, “Did this man sin, or his parents?” No, it was to display the works of God in him.
Is man's sin the key? Yes, but it cannot surpass the works of God. As long as man turns to God, he will surely receive grace. Maybe you haven't changed that well yet, but you have already started on the road to repentance, and the works of God will be revealed. He makes the blind see, becoming man's hope.
All the poor and indebted receive this hope! In the past, we were wrong; now we believe. In the past, we believed in the wrong Gospel; now we begin to believe in the right one. In the past, our faith was very bad; now we make our faith good. In the past, it was a grain of rice's worth of faith; now it becomes a mustard seed's worth of faith. In the past, it was dead faith; now it becomes living faith. In the past, it was faith that was not practiced, it was nonsense faith; now we turn it into a faith that is practiced.
As a result, this one born blind really saw, and the works of God were revealed to us. Do you now know the will of God? Do you know the heart of God? Do you know the works of God? If you still don't know, I tell you, the blind receiving sight reveals the works of God. God wants to solve the problem of sin, not to condemn. We people like to say, This is a sin, that is a sin, this is because of sin, his father’s sin. We also say these words, but we cause people to see the works of God, to see the hope that God has given us. Amen!
From now on, receive this grace in faith, and God will manifest His glory! Manifest His power! Because in my faith, you receive grace, you must give glory to God. Why? Because Jesus Christ has indeed borne our sorrows and carried our curses; He has already solved this problem.
Then you say, how difficult is it to draw on the grace of God? It is not difficult. Until today, wherever I go, I release the grace of God, allowing people to receive the benefits of this Gospel. This is my Mingding Destiny. Thank God!
The Faith of the Blind Man
How do we know the faith of this blind man? John Chapter 9, this one born blind, I will read it to everyone.
After saying this, Jesus spat on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. His neighbours and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”
Some claimed that he was. Others said, “No, he only looks like him.” But he himself insisted, “I am the man.” “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked. He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.” (John 9:6-11)
I ask you, spitting and making mud, smearing it on my eyes, it's good that it's not acupuncture; if it were an injection, that would be a little scary. Smearing it on the eyes? Oh, does he have bad breath? Forget it; you can get better just by smearing some mud? I've been blind all my life; and you want me to go to the Pool of Siloam to wash; stop messing around.”
That's not messing around; he believes, he is thirsty inside, he thinks, What does it matter if I try? What does it matter if I use a little saliva and mud? I'll try it. As a result, he received grace. Everyone always remembers to pray for these sick people, as long as they are willing. Because He is Jesus. As long as the other party is willing, that is enough. Don't force people to believe in the Lord, don't talk about these things. What happened? This blind man saw. As for what happened to this blind man later, we don't know, but we know that he did wash as Jesus commanded him, and then he came back and could see. If he didn't listen, how could he have gotten better?
There are many people whom I lead in prayer, and I say, Grab your legs, grab them, grab them hard.” They are reluctant to grab them. I say, Raise your arms.” They are reluctant to raise them. Why? Does that mean that if I don't raise my arms, God won't work? Listen to what these people are saying. Even if he didn't mix mud and smear it on his eyes, and wash it in the Pool of Siloam, could Jesus not have made his eyes see? It's not that He couldn't, but God wants people to know that this is called faith.
So, brothers and sisters, start to have faith; that faith is a receiving faith. This blind man actually believed. Why? How thirsty was he to be able to see! He believed he could see; he would never find a bunch of logic, This is impossible.” Have you all met this kind of person? He just believes.
So Jesus said, Do you believe in the Son of God? He said, I believe. Where is the Son of God? Jesus said, I am. Then I believe! and he fell to the ground and worshiped Jesus as his Lord. Brothers and sisters, you must know that if a person does not even have the faith to try, don't mess around. Even if you persist one minute or one year longer than the devil, it is useless. Everything is easy as long as a person is thirsty. What concept am I conveying? That person must have a very simple faith.
The Logic of the Blind Man
There is a logic in the blind man's mind. The Pharisees said to the blind man: He opened your eyes, what do you say he is? He said: He is a prophet. The Jews did not believe that he had been blind and later could see, and they suspected that he had pretended to be blind. Nonsense, why would I pretend to be blind when I have nothing to do? Then they called his parents and asked them, Is this your son? Do you say he was born blind? How can he see now? I think, what kind of brains are these?
“We know he is our son,” the parents answered, “and we know he was born blind. But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. Ask him. He is of age; he will speak for himself.” His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders, who already had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue. That was why his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.” (John 9:20-23)
Is the synagogue so important? Is your relationship in the original church so important? It is not important. Actually, don't do this; believe in the good news.
A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. Give glory to God by telling the truth, they said. We know this man is a sinner. He replied, Whether he is a sinner or not, I don't know. One thing I do know: I was blind but now I see! Then they asked him, What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?
He answered, “I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples too?” Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.” (John 9:24-29)
I tell you, many people will also feel ah, how is it possible? when they hear my sermon. They feel how is it possible. Actually, the Pharisees of that time were like that too. I tell you the logic of the blind man: he begged for a living his whole life, and it was hard being blind his whole life. Do you say he has knowledge? He has no knowledge; does he have culture? He has no culture. But he knows.
The man answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a person born blind. If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.” (John 9:30-33)
Do you want to be a person from God today? Do you want to believe that Jesus Christ has already accomplished an impossible thing for us? From now on, you also want to be a person who makes the blind see. Start to thirst, start to practice this kind of faith. If you can make the blind see through your hands, the glory of God will be manifested through you. God is also pleased that you have this kind of grace in you, and you have this kind of compassion in you.
Why do I serve some people in need so carefully? I know how people live when they are blind. May God’s grace, God’s works, and God’s compassion fill the whole earth! May they be seen through us, God’s grace! May God’s works be seen through us! May they receive God’s grace through us! May they receive God’s healing! The blind receive sight! The problems that Jesus solves are not small problems, they are problems that people really need to solve.
Thank God! I hope that our brothers and sisters can imitate me, how I serve, how I practice faith, and how you also serve and practice faith. Because the Word of God is established in heaven, and if it does not come to pass, it will never return void. This Gospel is indeed the Gospel that makes the blind see!
The blind man’s logic, compared with the logic of many people today, isn’t it a bit interesting? He casts out demons by the prince of demons. He opened the eyes of the blind by evil spirits. Is there such a thing? Today, relying on the power of Jesus Christ, relying on the power of Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead, let the glory of God fill the whole earth. This is the conversation with the Pharisees.
How simple is the blind man’s logic, and how complex is the Pharisees’ logic. Later Jesus said this: The blind can see, but those that can see have become blind. Brothers and sisters, set our eyes on the works of God! The Pharisees saw that Jesus Christ opened the eyes of people on the Sabbath, and they didn’t know that the Sabbath could not surpass the grace of God or surpass the compassion of God.
Jesus came to this earth for judgment, and he who walks in the will of God will surely receive God’s grace. God knows those who love him, and what God has prepared for those who love him is what the eyes have not seen, the ears have not heard, and the heart has not imagined. When I made the blind see, it was something I had never imagined in my heart. It turns out that what Jesus Christ did is something that people like us can do. Amen!
If someone does not believe, is unwilling to receive, and does not have the logic of the blind men, then forget it. Do you understand? Jesus did not heal all the blind men; Jesus healed all the blind men who came to seek Him. Amen!
Now open our eyes. If we are not blind, can we open our eyes and see the needs of this era? When you hear my sharing, is your heart shocked? If it is shocked, I tell you that God will greatly use you to make you become a vessel that manifests the glory of God.
May God bless everyone! Amen!
