【Bible Study】Genesis Chapter 12 - The Price Paid for Mingding Destiny

2022-12-02 62,089 Genesis Genesis 12 Genesis Chapter 12 Destiny Blessing Curse Eternal Life

Introduction

Good day to all! We shall delve into my favourite chapter in the Bible, Genesis Chapter 12. Regarding Genesis Chapter 12, I must confess that I did not quite get it right the last time, as I often feel about my own interpretations. The last time, my topic was: God will make your name great! Why do I say I didn't quite get it right? Because I was too eager for fame. Later, I realised that fame is not all it's cracked up to be, akin to the saying "men fear fame as pigs fear fattening," and so I adjusted my perspective.

This chapter changed my life, it profoundly altered my view on the purpose of living! Where does Mingding Destiny theology come from? It originates from Genesis Chapter 12. I believe I have made progress, as Genesis Chapter 12 speaks of: The Price Paid for Mingding Destiny. Upon hearing "paying the price," some might think: time to make a hasty retreat, having to pay a price to be here, never heard of having to pay a price to believe in the Lord. But you must know that there is another saying: outside of Mingding Destiny, there is no blessing. Therefore, the price we pay for Mingding Destiny is exchanged for blessings from God, which is no small matter. So, I no longer seek fame; I want to pay the price for Mingding Destiny.

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:1-3)

I often wonder: God, why don't you say these things to me? Why did you specifically choose Abram? Do you ever feel this way? Surely, you do! God, how can I hear you speak? Why can't I hear you talking to me? To be honest, even now I haven't heard God say these words to me, but they were spoken to Abram. If I were like Abram, wouldn't God be speaking to me as well? I said: I want to be like Abram, it is good to be like Abram.

Why God Spoke to Abram

You must understand one thing: our God rarely pays attention to you or me; God is too busy to bother with us. Why did God pay attention to Abram? I will tell you a basic principle: if people do not seek God, God is too busy to pay attention to you. What should people seek from God? Let me start by telling you a story: Abram was actually very wealthy. If he were sitting on a chair and his back felt a bit sore, he would say: "Girl, come and massage my back; someone, massage my thighs." If you saw this scene, you might think, "I wish I were that rich." Abram lived a luxurious life, enjoying wealth and influence, a prominent figure of his time.

Abram gets his legs massaged, comfortable! Gets his feet massaged, comfortable! A little oil applied, very comfortable! After the massage, food is served, eating and drinking! But Abram was not happy living this way. You might think Abram had a problem? Not appreciating his blessings! But Abram felt bored, very bored. Then he saw someone die and went to the funeral, just like me; I particularly enjoy attending funerals.

Do you know I have this hobby? Sometimes I ask: "Who has died?" No one has died. Some people come to me and I ask: "Has your father died?" "No." It's as if I particularly enjoy people dying. I just like attending funerals, but I rarely get the chance. How can this be? So, whenever someone dies, I feel good. Why is it good when someone dies? I say: "Finally, they have rested from the toils of this world." What are you saying? I say, I truly have such a hope, but it has not been realised to this day. You might think, "So, you're tired of living?" Yes, I am tired of living.

So, I always place this hope on others. This hope is not good, but I truly feel, what is the point of living? All day long, paying electricity bills, dealing with online banking, unblocking WeChat accounts… tiring, exhausting! Later, I understood that I must seek a path, a path like Abram's. Isn't that what we have found? Why did God speak to Abram? Because Abram saw through the cycle of life and death. He attended one funeral after another… and looked at the person through the coffin, with a portrait on the side, quite handsome, looking good, but worldly matters were no longer relevant to him. Abram attended many funerals and felt: what is the point of living?

I can tell you all: if a person does not seek the meaning of life, they are worse than a monkey. I'm not talking about any monkey, I'm talking about Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. Sun Wukong, who came from a stone, even knew to seek eternal life. Sun Wukong cried when he saw a monkey die, wondering what would happen when they all died one day. So, Sun Wukong went to seek eternal life, apprenticing himself to a master, finding the Patriarch Bodhi. This is the difference between those with and without spirit; even a monkey with spirit seeks eternal life, yet people do not seek it. What will you gain if you do not seek it?

Abram saw someone in the village suffering from cancer in those days. They didn't know what treatments were available, unlike the treatments we have now. Abram watched the person desperately trying to live. In Abram's village, someone with cancer was dying, kneeling on the ground at home, saying: "Is there no doctor who can save my life?" I heard this sound when I was young. We lived near an official who contracted cancer in his early fifties. He shouted at home, and his voice carried through the windows. Whenever I passed his house, my hair stood on end. The cancer was painful, unbearable. I heard him shout: "Is there anyone who can save me? I don't want to die, I don't want to die…" My imitation is not very good, but I hope it doesn't scare you.

Abram saw this scene in those days. You know, in Abram's time, many people lived for hundreds of years. Even when dying, they didn't want to die. In fact, hundreds of years pass by in a flash. Don't think hundreds of years pass slowly; they pass by faster and faster. As a result, he began to seek the purpose of living. Brothers and sisters, you must know: if you do not seek this, if you only seek food and drink, and then talk about other things when you die, then I tell you: you are worse than a monkey, worse than Pigsy.

Whether it's a massage or a full-course meal, it cannot solve the emptiness in people's hearts. Don't you know, I had this sense of emptiness when I was young. If you all have this sense of emptiness, then I congratulate you; you should not be too far from Mingding Destiny. Massages or enjoying life are useless! After Abram sought, God pointed him to a path to understand the meaning of living. I tell you, it is a tragedy if a person does not seek eternal life. Have you seen someone suffering from cancer, screaming in pain? If you have, I hope for one thing: don't think it has nothing to do with you. All those who do not seek eternal life are not far from that.

Seek and You Shall Find

Do you all think your lives have meaning? If you live for your mother, what happens when your mother dies? Do you also die? If you live for my father, what happens when your father dies? Do you also die? Living for anyone is useless. So, we must know that those who seek will find. Did Abram find this thing he was seeking? He found it; God spoke to him. But in those days, there was only one Abram. What were the others doing? It wasn't one in a hundred, not one in ten thousand, not even one in a hundred thousand. Among the people in those days, only Abram was a seeker; the others were just living their lives. People become muddled when they just live their lives.

People are like this: in childhood, they live their mother's life; when they grow up a bit, they live their lover's life, falling into the trap of love, loving to death. Then they get married and have children, living their children's lives. When their children have children, they live their old age. That's how they live. What is your hope? Can living life become your hope? In the end, all that remains is despair. That's how a person's life is. If people do not seek, what will they find? They will find death, destruction. I encourage you to seek the meaning of living. Abram sought the meaning of living; did he find it? He found it; God spoke to him. If you want to hear God speak to you, seek the meaning of living.

For Abram, money was not a problem, but why didn't he have children when he was getting old? He had a wife, Sarai. In those days, if Sarai was not capable, wouldn't solving it with a capable one do the trick? No, he only had Sarai because they had a good marital relationship? It wasn't a matter of whether their relationship was good or not; they just felt that having children was not a big deal. It was okay not to have children! If living had no meaning, what was the point of having children? So, they didn't have children even in their seventies or eighties. Why didn't they have children? Actually, they were just seeking the meaning of living! He thought, if my life has no meaning, what's the point of having children?

Do you see this logic? If Abram really wanted children, having a mistress or two, or three or four, wouldn't be a problem. Someone as capable as Abram could have dozens of children. He was in his seventies and didn't have children, but he wasn't worried. He was only worried about one thing: if my life has no meaning, what's the point of having children? Are children my meaning? No! If children are your meaning, and the children are not doing well, then you're in trouble.

Why are many parents troubled today? Because they see their children in such a miserable state, and they themselves become miserable. It wouldn't matter to Abram whether he took a mistress or not. It wouldn't matter if he took thirty or sixty concubines. There were plenty of people in his hometown who liked this old man, this old man who was also handsome. There were countless people who wanted to get close to Abram. He pushed them all away!

Think slowly, ponder carefully. What kind of person is able to seek? It's someone who has seen through all these worldly matters and feels that they have no meaning. I thank God, I thank Him profusely. Thank God there is God, otherwise what is the point of living? This and that all day long, it's so annoying! Abram sought and found. In order to seek the meaning of living, it didn't matter whether he had children or not, it didn't matter what he had or didn't have. It didn't matter if he was rich or poor, it didn't matter if it was a year of abundance or a year of famine. He just felt troubled, living was annoying, and he began to seek.

You must know that it is very troubling for a person to have no meaning in life. When I lead prayers, people say: "Teacher, this hurts, that's uncomfortable." Why? No Mingding Destiny. It would be strange if you weren't troubled! It's already troubling to have Mingding Destiny; what would it be like to have no Mingding Destiny? Taking the civil service exam, getting a headache, ending up in that miserable state. Taking the postgraduate entrance exam, ending up in that miserable state. Feeling depressed, living a tumultuous life! Thinking that getting married could change things, washing away the old nature, but then getting divorced, finding someone again, and getting divorced again.

Someone said: "Teacher, do you also want to get one?" I said: "No, I just want to see the myriad aspects of human life." People take life too seriously; how can they not be troubled? These days, I often come across such videos on Douyin. Douyin probably knows that people of this age have this need: having money, a house, a car, savings. Getting a few is normal. But if you have no Mingding Destiny, what's the point of getting those things? If you have Mingding Destiny, what's the point of getting those things? It's just trouble. So, those who seek will find. Seek what? Seek God.

Thank God there is God. How can we live without God? You watch helplessly as people are tightly bound by these worldly matters, raising children who need to study, buying school district houses. Buying a school district house, spending their whole lives paying for it. What's the point? Living such a miserable life. Are there such people? If there are, any resemblance is purely coincidental. If there is no God, living truly has no meaning; if there truly is God, then seek eternal life and look down on this life. In the past few years, I have watched one person after another pass away, some older than me, some younger than me.

In the early years of my career, my boss had a kidney transplant. The kidney could last about ten years. He died ten years later, and I attended his funeral. He was lying in the coffin in the funeral home. I remembered the times we worked overtime together, and after overtime, we went out for supper together, very happy! In the blink of an eye, he was lying in a coffin. Two years ago, he came to see the house we were renovating. He asked how much this cost, how much that cost. I said this was done by me, that was also done by me. Suddenly, one day, he had difficulty breathing and passed away. In the blink of an eye, it has been more than two years since he died.

I attended his funeral. He was lying inside, and I stood outside the coffin, feeling a mix of emotions! If people do not know that living is vanity, can they seek? I must tell you, living is vanity, so isn't money vanity? Then will you worry about money? You won't. It's good to see through things! If people believe that living is all vanity, then is there anything else? There's nothing else. Living becomes very real! Don't think that seeing through the world means going to a remote mountain temple to shave your head and become a monk. It's also good to see through life with my hair on! Nothing can control me. Money cannot control me, human relationships cannot control me, nothing can control me. Because I have God, I will live in eternity for my whole life, completely and utterly indifferent to life and death. How many people has God crushed to death? It's like when I see an ant in the kitchen, I crush it to death. Do you think I am a great philanthropist? No, I don't raise ants. As long as they crawl into our kitchen, I crush them to death.

Doesn't COVID crush people to death? It crushes people to death, crushing so many. In the blink of an eye, it's been several years! Life and death, seeing through the world, doesn't mean shaving your head and becoming a monk after seeing through it. Seeing through it is for living on earth as if living in heaven; living in this life as if living in eternal life. Those who seek will surely find, and living will surely be meaningful. The glory of God will surely be manifested through your life. Seeking the meaning of living, I have found it now!

If others are not blessed because of me, I am very troubled living. These days, I have been troubled, wondering how I have not blessed anyone. Finally, an opportunity came, and I blessed someone. If you come to me, give me a chance to bless you, but I tell you, I have no kind words. Why do I never say nice things? Because I want to shatter your dreams in this life. I never say nice things. When I open my mouth, I certainly can't say anything pleasant. See if I don't shatter your dreams in this life, you little rascal! Do you all understand?

If you still have hope in this life, I want you to have hope in eternal life. Then I am forcibly demolishing, using a bulldozer! I specialize in this, rubbing and crushing you on the ground, grinding you to death. When you are ground to death, the spirit of the person comes alive. Who told you to live with such deep hope? Can that be blessed? No. Once a person has all their hopes in this life, everything becomes vain. If you are not rubbed on the ground, can that work?

My words are always harsh. If the devil tells you ten sentences, I can knock him down with one sentence. If the devil gives you a hundred sentences, I can also knock him down with one sentence, clearing everything. Clearing the virus, clearing the devil's words. When you don't want to live, you can live. I have found a bit of Abram's shadow in me. I have been searching and searching, wondering what living is all about. Why is my life meaningless? If you think living is very meaningful, we are not on the same path.

I feel that living has no meaning at all, but to die, I haven't found a good way to die. So, I continue to seek, and later I came to know God. It's so good to know God! How is it good? Living has hope! From the moment I came to know God, I felt that there were so many foolish people! How can believing in the Lord be done in such a miserable way? How can they not cherish the treasure? Believing in the Lord in this way.

You must all know that those who cherish their lives will lose them, and those who give up their lives for God will gain life. Do you understand? Living without God is meaningless. From then on, God is everything to me. You can take away my property; you can take away my money, but you cannot take away my God. I can be hardworking, I can be tired, I can sweat, I can bleed, I can cry, but no one can take away the Mingding Destiny I seek. I live for this, I came into this world for this, I die for this. This is my life, this is my Mingding Destiny.

If you receive a little bit of grace from me, perhaps I have prayed for you, and your eyes suddenly get better, even if it's only for ten minutes, that is also grace. If I pray for your back pain, and your back pain gets better for a day, that is also grace. Some continue to get better, thank God. Where does grace come from? It comes from seeing through life and death, from seeking to know God. My God allows me to find Him. He gives me a good promise: everyone who seeks will find.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7)

All those who take the trivial matters of this world seriously will not live well. When we were young, we lived very poorly. My younger brother said to my mother: "Mom, I want to eat fried dough twists." My mother said: "Come here!" She pinched his face, "This is a fried dough twist!" Do you still want it? If this is a fried dough twist, then I don't want it. If some children can understand their parents' hardships, why ask for fried dough twists when there is no money? Right? "Mom, I want to eat a big fruit." Slap! "This is a big fruit." Some children resent their mothers because of this, resenting them to this day, resenting them until they get cancer, resenting them until they go into the coffin. Why? Because the fried dough twist is too important in their hearts! But do you live for fried dough twists?

Thank God, God created me with a little bit of a special trait. I don't seem to have a strong desire for food. But I tell you, I can eat! Barbecue, skewers, I can go and film food-related programs. After I eat, the sounds I make are much better than theirs! Melts in your mouth. My sense of taste is very sensitive. I am very good at appreciating food because I have Mingding Destiny. So, I don't live for food; food exists for me. That's good! But Mingding Destiny is a bit cruel!

The Price Paid for Mingding Destiny

Abram felt that living was meaningless. God said: "Go to the place I will show you." How to go? Hitch up the carts, hitch up the horses. Do you know how many people were in Abram's family? At least two thousand people. Abram's family was big and wealthy. Two thousand people hitching up carts and horses. What about his real estate in Haran? Abandon it. I feel that this decision is a bit difficult! But Abram said: "Let's go." His wife said: "Okay, let's go." Luckily, he only had one wife. If he had three wives and six concubines, and some disagreed, that would be troublesome. But he only had one wife, and this wife was very good, willing to follow him.

God said, "Go to the place I will show you!" But it was too difficult for Abram. He was unfamiliar with the place, and a strong dragon cannot suppress a local snake. What if he encountered a local snake there? Abram didn't ask; he hitched up the carts and left directly, abandoning the house. You say: "Isn't this a hassle?" If people don't see through life and death, if they don't see through this life, if they don't treat the trivial matters of this life as trivial matters, they will say: "God, how can this be?" Abram really treated living as a trivial matter, so he dared to do this. God said go, and he went. You say: "Why can't I hear God speaking to me?" Luckily, you didn't hear, because it would be useless even if you heard.

God said, "Go to the place I command you to go." "That won't work! My father is still alive!" "That won't work, the house is still here!" "That won't work, my wife doesn't agree!" "That won't work, my children don't agree!" "That won't work, I myself don't agree!" It turns out there are a bunch of excuses. Actually, it's just that he himself can't do it. So, you can't hear God's words, because even if you heard them, you wouldn't listen. So, forget it! You continue to enjoy your barbecue, continue to enjoy your delicious food. God will find someone else.

Thank God, these years, encountering famine cannot dampen my enthusiasm, encountering difficulties cannot dampen my enthusiasm, because I live for Mingding Destiny. Mingding Destiny is too important. I live for this! If you are not living for Mingding Destiny, why are you believing in the Lord with me? Go and do whatever you want. If you think coming among us is just to live a better life, then you have come to the wrong place. This place is all about trouble.

Have you noticed that this place is always causing trouble? You say: "Believing in the Lord is not done like this! Believing in the Lord means writing notes, doing this and that; having to take exams, having to… oh my! Having to record and transcribe, having to do this and that; there is this ministry and that ministry, and there are prayers every night, oh my! My goodness! This is not ordinary trouble!" This trouble brings those with Mingding Destiny and drives away those without Mingding Destiny. Coming out and going out are very different. Coming out is coming out of the world, and going out is going out of the midst of those with Mingding Destiny. You can't withstand trouble. It's not okay. As soon as Abram arrived, he encountered famine. Encountering famine is normal. Abram never asks: "God! Why is this?" Because living is all about trouble.

My life has been full of trouble, but trouble is good! Abram went to Egypt, going down to Egypt. Two thousand people walking from Haran to Egypt. It would take a long time to take the train, so how long would it take to walk? So, brothers and sisters, we must understand that we have to pay a price for Mingding Destiny. But I don't know if you have Mingding Destiny or not? God gave me an idea, which is trouble. Once, I treated someone to durian. He was a descendant of the Aisin Gioro clan. You can't just pat your butt and leave after eating durian! I treated him to so much money's worth of durian, the best durian in Singapore. He had to leave a word! He said that his ancestors left a word: "When the ruler is idle and the ministers are busy, the country will prosper; when the ruler is busy and the ministers are idle, the country will perish." If you are a leader, it's not good to be working yourself to the bone.

God troubles me, and I trouble you. Let's all work together on this path of Mingding Destiny. This sentence has become my motto! Is it called Mingding Destiny if you don't pay a price for Mingding Destiny? If you give up immediately when you encounter a little difficulty, how can that work? So, brothers and sisters, my words are not pleasant, and my work is also very hard. Either you will be taken away by the devil, or the devil will be driven out by me!

I once calculated something. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran. His father was seventy years old when he gave birth to Abram. His father was one hundred and forty-five years old at this time. His father died when he was two hundred and five years old. How old was Abram at this time? One hundred and thirty-five years old. When he was one hundred and thirty-five years old, Abram's son Isaac was thirty-five years old. Abram never took his son to see his grandfather. He didn't go back to see him when his father died. When Abram left his father, the two of them sat there, it was a final farewell! Abram's conversation with his father should be like this: "Father, do you want to come with me?" The father said: "I don't want to go with you." If you read Genesis carefully, you can see:

Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there. Terah lived 205 years, and he died in Harran. (Genesis 11:31-32)

This shows that they were originally going to Canaan. In fact, Abram's father received a vision from God: to go to Canaan. But when he reached Haran, his father didn't go any further. Isn't this like the people who died in the wilderness after leaving Egypt? Absolutely! I want to tell you that there are many people who walk halfway on this path of Mingding Destiny. Abram is definitely a very ruthless person: for the sake of this Mingding Destiny, if you don't go, I will go. Don't expect me to come back, and don't expect me to take care of you in your old age. Sorry! I'm sorry. Isn't that a price? Absolutely a price.

When he arrived in Egypt, his wife was taken away. Isn't that a price? Absolutely a price. He really didn't have many tricks, so he came up with a very bad idea, telling his wife: "Tell others that you are my sister!" Everyone knows. Ordinary people can't walk the path of Mingding Destiny unless they really believe that living is meaningless. If you think that living is meaningless, you are not far from Mingding Destiny. If you really think that living is meaningless and you have obtained Mingding Destiny, you will definitely be able to walk down that path, because the other paths are meaningless.

No Blessing Outside of Mingding Destiny

If a person seeks blessings, he must seek eternal life and the glory in eternity. To seek blessings, one must know that blessings come from God. Brothers and sisters, we must understand that leaving your country, your kindred, and your father's house to go to the land I will show you is paying a price, it is a hassle.

"I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." (Genesis 12:2-3)

I have finally found my Mingding Destiny: I want to be a blessing to many people. Whoever curses me, God will curse; whoever blesses me, God will bless. Everyone is beginning to understand, right? Among us, there is a man named Abram; he is not called a great philanthropist, but he is a person willing to give his life for Mingding Destiny. Don't think anything can stop me; nothing can.

If you are willing to walk this path of Mingding Destiny with me, let's walk together; if you are not willing to walk this path of Mingding Destiny, then I will walk it myself. You take your broad road, and I will take my narrow bridge. If you are determined to walk the path of Mingding Destiny, such a person cannot but be blessed. Later, I discovered that it is not because I bless you that you are blessed. It is because you blessed me that you are blessed. Don't get it wrong!

If this place is a place of Abram, whoever blesses Abram, God will bless him. Do you understand this? Don't come to me and say, "Teacher, please bless me!" It doesn't work that way. The important thing is whether you can become an Abram, and then whoever blesses you will be blessed. Then will you still lack money? Finding the meaning of life is called Mingding Destiny; if you can't find it, you deserve it! If you find it, then pay the price for it; it's all good. Every hassle allows you to see God's glory. What does it mean that there is no blessing outside of Mingding Destiny? Once a person obtains Mingding Destiny, he pleases God.

If a person wants to please people, he cannot be blessed! You are my boss, and I hope you are pleased with me, but what can you bless me with? Who knows who is blessing you. So we must know for sure that we no longer seek to please people. Even if you get cancer, I will not try to please you. What would I gain from saying a few pleasing words? You say God has a rainbow covenant with you. I think forget it; if you had a rainbow covenant, you wouldn't have gotten cancer. Thank God, you did not discern good and evil, but in fact, you are still discerning good and evil, how serious. You think you will change immediately? Actually, you have discerned good and evil to the point of cancer, it has seeped into your bones.

There is no blessing outside of Mingding Destiny; does everyone understand? If everyone understands, you will become a person with Mingding Destiny and seek the meaning of life. You will seek the price to pay for Mingding Destiny, to become a blessing; whoever blesses you will be blessed! You are not lacking in blessings at all. It is not that you bless others, but that you will also be a blessing to others. What does it mean that you will also be a blessing to others? If you pass on Mingding Destiny to him, won't you be blessed? Today, I must cram Mingding Destiny into your heart; I don't believe I can't! But if I cram it in and you take it out again, that's not my business. I cram it in for you and then tell you that there is no blessing outside of Mingding Destiny, and the next day you take it out and throw it away, that has nothing to do with me.

I really want to bless you; I eagerly hope that everyone can see through life and death. I eagerly hope that everyone can become an Abram. I eagerly hope that everyone knows that it is not that I bless you that you receive blessings. It is that I want to make you a person with Mingding Destiny, to become an Abram, to become a seeker, how good! Even if you go down to Egypt and your wife is taken away, when your wife is sent back, she comes back with a flock of cattle, sheep, camels, male donkeys, female donkeys, and servants, how good!

"And he treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels." (Genesis 12:16)

Can you believe this? Because of Abram's wife Sarai, God inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household. Isn't that powerful? Who dares to touch Abram's wife? I want to tell you that those who curse Abram are cursed. Those who have Mingding Destiny cannot be cursed by others. So blessings and curses both come from God. Everyone must not think that if someone curses me behind my back, I will be cursed. You try cursing me? You can't curse me. What happens after you curse me? After you curse me, God will curse you. There is no blessing outside of Mingding Destiny! So everyone should walk the path of Abram. Walking the path of Abram is the path of Mingding Destiny, and the path of Mingding Destiny is the path of blessing. The path of blessing is so powerful!

Mingding Destiny Does Not Require Perfection

"As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, 'I know what a beautiful woman you are. When the Egyptians see you, they will say, 'This is his wife.' Then they will kill me but will let you live. Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.'" (Genesis 12:11-13)

In this passage, is Abram's action called faith? It is also called faith. Is it called weakness? It is also called weakness! It is called imperfection. But it doesn't matter; you are not perfect, and Abram is not perfect either. Abram did not seek because he was perfect. Precisely because he knew he was a person, he knew he was not perfect, so he sought! He knew Mingding Destiny was important; that's how it is. If we explore this further, I don't think we can explore anything. Is this reasonable? I really can't say clearly, so let's not talk about this.

Summary: Become a Person with Mingding Destiny

To become a person with Mingding Destiny, even if I die, I will die in God's glory! May God inspire us. If you are living to be fifty years old today, some of your classmates may have already passed away; if you are sixty years old, when you have a class reunion, you will find that a few classmates are missing again; when you are seventy years old, you will find that not many classmates can come to the reunion; when you are eighty years old, you don't even know if there will be a reunion! Who knows if you are the one missing? The group is incomplete, lament!

So everyone must become a person with Mingding Destiny. When a person has Mingding Destiny, this life is lived for God, and living becomes meaningful. A life lived without meaning and a life lived in the void to bring out God's glory, the latter is so beautiful! If you are a person with Mingding Destiny, do you still need to argue with others today? Would you still argue about whether you ate something when you were a child? Is it worth remembering this trivial matter? With this trivial matter inside you, how can a person be well? People should not be too selfish; people should always consider others and always want to be a blessing to others.

Whose blessing have we become? It's good enough if we don't cause trouble or inconvenience to others! Some people cause trouble and don't even have a grateful heart. What is the meaning of such a person living? There is no meaning! I'm just telling the truth; there really is no meaning. If you think there is meaning, continue to walk. A person without Mingding Destiny is an enemy of God, and a person with Mingding Destiny wants to please God. Chinese Mingding Destiny Theology wants to subvert the theological system of this generation and subvert the gospel of those who do not pay the price in this generation. Let us all become people who live for God, die for God, pay the price for God, and offer our lives for God! That is such a glorious thing!

May God bless everyone!

Genesis Chapter 12 Scripture

12:1 Now the Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your kindred and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
12:2 “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
12:3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
12:4 So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran.
12:5 He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Harran, and they set out for the land of Canaan, and they arrived there.
12:6 Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem. At that time the Canaanites were in the land.
12:7 The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
12:8 From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.
12:9 Then Abram set out and continued toward the Negev.
12:10 Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe.
12:11 As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, “I know what a beautiful woman you are.
12:12 When the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me but will let you live.
12:13 Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.”
12:14 When Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that Sarai was a very beautiful woman.
12:15 And when Pharaoh’s officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh, and she was taken into his palace.
12:16 He treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels.
12:17 But the Lord inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram’s wife Sarai.
12:18 So Pharaoh summoned Abram. “What have you done to me?” he said. “Why didn’t you tell me she was your wife?
12:19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her to be my wife? Now then, here is your wife. Take her and go!”
12:20 Then Pharaoh gave orders about Abram to his men, and they sent him on his way, with his wife and everything he had.
