Introduction
Greetings everyone! The first chapter of Genesis will probably take four sessions. This chapter is particularly well-written! If you're not doing too well today, then you especially need to read Genesis chapter 1! You need to know that you have the glorious image of God on you! What exactly is the glorious image of God? It is the image of accomplishing things.
In the first part of Genesis chapter 1, I mainly talked about God's will. Understanding God's will is very important! Actually, you don't need to pray like this: God, please make me prosperous! Because making us prosperous is inherently God's will. God wants to make you prosperous, to make you fruitful and multiply, fill the earth, and govern it. Management is your responsibility, management is God's beautiful purpose for you. So what exactly does management entail? Management is about managing things well. If you manage something and the project collapses, and then you manage something else and the company goes bankrupt, that's really frustrating! Being useless at everything except eating. So the essence of management is to accomplish things.
How can you accomplish things? You'll find that God speaks, and after He speaks, things are done. This proves that speaking is very important! If you're in a company doing management, you must know how to speak. If you don't know how to speak, you can't get things done, so what are you managing? So you have to learn to speak. In business management, there must be a corporate vision and mission. What the corporate manager says today and what they say tomorrow are all part of corporate management, and are very important. Without the Spirit of God moving, speaking is useless, because things can only be accomplished by the Spirit of God.
In the second part of Genesis chapter 1, I talked about having God-like vision. If you don't have God-like vision, it's hard for you to accomplish things. As I said, you're good at finding fault in everything, but you're not good at accomplishing anything. In my pastoral ministry, I've found that the most difficult people to pastor are those who are useless at everything and have never accomplished anything in their lives. Do you know why? Because these people have developed a series of evils. Not only does their vision need to change, but their way of speaking also needs to change. Anyway, there are too many things about them that need to change. Ordinary Christians think that salvation is: I have been saved by grace, and I can go to heaven when I die! I ask them: How were you saved by grace? What is being saved by grace? They can't answer, and this situation is quite common.
Occasionally there are some exceptions, but their explanation of salvation is not so good, not so fitting. Chinese Mingding Destiny redefines this concept. What is the key to salvation? It is that while we are still alive, we restore the image that God created us in, have God-like vision, speak God's words, accomplish things, and manage things well. People live prosperously, are fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. How wonderful! Sometimes, when I think about the glorious image of God on me, I feel especially good. When I think about the brothers and sisters in our church, who are more like God than when they came to church a year ago or two years ago, I feel especially fulfilled in building the church! When I think about everyone taking a big step forward next year, becoming more like Jesus and more like the Apostle Paul every year, I feel really good.
But some pastors feel that being a pastor is a hard job, but I have finally found my true love. Serving God is so good! What in the world is better than serving God? What is better than edifying people? What is better than living prosperously, walking with God, being fruitful and multiplying, governing the earth, and becoming a manager? To become a prince or princess in the Kingdom of God in the future, managing things, how wonderful!
The Spirit of God is Key
When God speaks, things are done! You may not quite understand, so I'll explain it to you. If you look at it with a human perspective, it's very troublesome. If you look at it with a Godly perspective: a man born blind, Jesus speaks a word, and he's healed! A man born lame, Jesus speaks a word, and he's healed! This is too simple. Such simple and good things, why don't people believe? Actually, you'll know if you try it. So in this session, our topic is "Accomplishing Things." How are things accomplished? It is the Spirit of God at work.
When you speak, the Spirit of God is not idle. The Spirit of God will move there. What exactly is the Spirit of God? The Spirit of God is a supernatural power, beyond what we can imagine. What did the Apostle Paul say in his epistles? He said that the supernatural God will accomplish what we say, exceeding what we ask or think. When we pray, the Spirit of God will accomplish what we ask for, and his illness will be healed, so the Spirit of God is key. Manifesting the power of God, the power of Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead, on us, and then speaking, things will be accomplished.
When I pray for people, their illnesses are healed, it is the Spirit of God at work. When we speak, the Spirit of God moves, the Spirit of God works, I feel embarrassed. Why embarrassed? I speak, and the Spirit of God accomplishes, it seems like I've turned things upside down? Shouldn't the Spirit of God speak, and I work hard for a long time? I found that our God is so good, our God is truly infinitely good! Later I understood that the Lord Jesus set a very good example for us, that if a person wants to be great, he must be the servant of all.
Jesus said: I came into the world to do nothing else but to serve people. I feel especially honored, because I feel unworthy, but God really blesses me. As long as I think that when I pray, people's illnesses are healed, cancer is healed, skin diseases are also healed, I feel that our God is too good, He accomplishes what we say. The first thing Jesus did after He resurrected and ascended to heaven was to give us the Holy Spirit at Pentecost to fill us. If Jesus had not resurrected and ascended to heaven, the Holy Spirit would not have been given. There were events like the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, but the filling of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament far exceeds our imagination and surpasses the height of the Old Testament.
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. (Acts 2:1-4)
The apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit, and everyone spoke in tongues. This event is real and cannot be changed. As for whether the Holy Spirit indwelt the apostles before the filling of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, it is not known. I don't know who invented this term, but it has caused a lot of confusion for everyone.
For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. (John 3:34)
God's Holy Spirit also fills Jesus Christ, and what He does in us is beyond our imagination. Brothers and sisters, don't be confused by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. It is very clear in Genesis chapter 1 that God speaks and things are done. This is why we like to read Genesis chapter 1 so much, because what is said later cannot replace what God said in the beginning, that people have the glorious image of God.
The church started like this, and it will not be replaced by the advanced technology of the 21st century, nor can it replace the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the filling of the Holy Spirit that God spoke in the beginning and at Pentecost. Everyone should begin to yearn for the filling of the Holy Spirit, not just the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. What exactly is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit? Actually, the Bible does not record such a thing. It may have first happened to the Apostle Peter, because Peter once said to Jesus:
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. (Matthew 16:16-17)
But not long after this happened, Jesus said to Peter again: Get behind me, Satan! (See Matthew 16:23) Jesus said this to Peter because Peter was thinking according to human standards, thinking according to the flesh. So in this way, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is not very useful. Peter still denied the Lord three times, and still thought according to the flesh. Some people emphasize the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and confessing sins and repenting, but without the power of God, these are really not very useful.
There are so many miracles and wonders among us because we don't care much about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, we care very much about the filling of the Holy Spirit. If the filling of the Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ is limitless, then we must begin to yearn to be like Jesus, and we must also pursue the filling of the Holy Spirit. If a person is separated from the Spirit of God, that is destruction. Today, the Holy Spirit who lives in us has revived our mortal lives through the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit moves in our lives, and you become a miracle worker.
Declare Openly
If people want to accomplish things, they must declare openly. I used to often see people praying silently, but I didn't like it very much. I once saw a person, when everyone was gathered together to pray, with his head on the ground and his butt sticking up, which reminded me of the saying, "Killing is nothing more than a nod of the head." He was lying there without making a sound, I didn't know if he was asleep? If I were like him, I would definitely fall asleep quickly, and I would snore very loudly, and then I would definitely be woken up. I used to sit below and listen to my pastor preach, and I often did this too. As soon as he started preaching, I would fall asleep quickly, and then the people next to me would wake me up, because my snoring was louder than the pastor's preaching.
Later, when it was my turn to preach and lead Bible studies, others would also sleep like this. I understood very well, because it was too uncomfortable to hold back from sleeping. So as soon as I saw someone sleeping, I would say directly to him: It's okay, you can sleep well. Why declare openly? Because things can only be accomplished by declaring openly. So silent recitation is not speaking, nor is it what Genesis chapter 1 says. What Genesis says is that when God speaks, things are done.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. (Genesis 1:3)
When people speak, don't just um and ah, and can't squeeze out a fart for a long time, it sounds very uncomfortable. Everyone should imitate me, and declare loudly and forcefully: Devil, go away! Sickness, go away! Because there is also a benefit to saying this, which is that it is not easy to fall asleep. It is written very clearly here: God said! God did not recite silently, nor did He hum and ah there for a long time without being able to say anything, God spoke openly. If you are a business leader, you must also speak openly at meetings, instead of reciting silently there, or sending out a document and asking everyone to read it themselves. If the whole meeting is like a silent prayer, with everyone not making a sound, what a strange meeting would it be?
Brothers and sisters must begin to learn to speak. If you don't know how to speak, then you are wasting the mouth that God created. What fills a person's heart, their mouth speaks. It's not that the baby is suffering in their heart, but the baby doesn't say it, and then when they open their mouth, they suffocate people to death. Everyone should imitate me, and when I open my mouth, I am declaring faith, building up people's faith, and then things will definitely be accomplished. If I encounter a difficult problem that I can't solve no matter what, I will say: You little thing, I can't solve you? After I say it, it becomes a little thing, and I become a big thing. We must be this kind of person, don't be depressed there. In business management, you must learn to speak openly, and at large meetings, you must build up the confidence of the employees. It all depends on one mouth to ignite the fire in everyone's hearts, so everyone must learn.
If you are speaking above, and the employees below are thinking: I'll take this year's bonus first, and if I continue to follow him, I don't know when it will go bankrupt. If the employees of the company all think this way, it is because the leader himself doesn't know how to speak. Leaders must learn to release vision, learn to release dreams, and as a business leader, they must release faith and transmit faith, and such a company will definitely prosper! If you ask: What if it doesn't prosper? We are talking about this matter now. We declare openly, and as we speak, we prosper. Some people open their mouths and say: It's over! It's over! It's over! How can it not be over?
Believe in Your Heart, Confess with Your Mouth
These are the words of the Apostle Paul in Romans. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Later, the word salvation was quoted not according to Genesis, but referring to going to heaven after death. I asked them, how do you know you can go to heaven after death? They replied: I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth. But this matter cannot be explained this way. When Jesus healed a patient, Jesus said, your faith has saved you. That is, if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth, you will be saved, and the problem will be solved immediately, this is salvation.
Believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth does not refer to going to heaven after death, so Chinese Mingding Destiny does not talk much about going to heaven. Because this matter is not spoken of so directly in the Bible, but living out the image of God is spoken of very directly. What you must believe in your heart is that the lame can walk, leprosy can be cleansed, cancer can be healed, and the blind can see. We must not talk nonsense.
One brother said to his sister who had cancer: Sister, I will lead you in prayer. Then he began to lead his sister in prayer, removing the spirit of cancer, and then his sister's cancer was healed. After praying, he said: When will this be over! It's over, as soon as he said this, the prayer just now was completely destroyed, reset to zero, this is unbelief. Have you noticed that I never say such things: When will this be over? Because I believe in my heart that this disease will be healed. The unbelief in his heart is slowly transmitted in this way, and everyone can think about it slowly.
Many people think this way, but everyone just doesn't say it so directly. I'm saying it for everyone. We must be determined, isn't it just cancer? My view is that the person is not dead yet, even if they are dead, they can be resurrected from the dead, so those who are not dead can be resurrected even more, that's how it is. Believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth is very important. The study of speaking openly is very great, you must learn to speak, you must speak words of faith, and don't hide those useless garbage inside, this is the key to accomplishing things.
Which entrepreneur has not experienced ups and downs, which entrepreneur has not grown up from one storm after another? An entrepreneur once said to me: We often need to grit our teeth and stomp our feet! If you want to accomplish things, you can't do it without faith, you often need to grit your teeth and stomp your feet, and get through one level at a time. The epitome of faith is Sun Wukong, who subdued several demons and monsters, passed one level after another, and ran straight towards the goal, very powerful. We must believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that our God is the God who accomplishes things, and we will subdue demons and monsters all the way, because we have the authority from God in our hands.
You Get What You Believe
Why are you living like this today? It's because you believe you will live like this. What you see is bad, because you believe it is bad. If you believe that everything you see is good, even if what you experience is bad, swallow your tears, and you must be strong, and you must believe no matter what. God has arranged for me to be in this world, and has given me a great mission, and God's will must be accomplished in me. We didn't come into this world as ordinary people, and we don't want to be ordinary people, we want to be managers. Not only must we manage our present life well, but we must also manage the demons in the spiritual realm well. The demons must be trampled under our feet, and they must listen to us.
Let's adjust ourselves and believe that no matter what we do, God's will will be accomplished in us, how wonderful! We must fight real battles with demons in the spiritual realm. Today, what we are fighting is the King of Glory, not the King of Glory of Tencent games, but the King of Glory of Jesus Christ! If you think that God is a stingy God, then what you get is a stingy God; if you think that God is a healing God, then what you get is a healing God.
I find that the things people believe are very strange. A brother told me: He knows an 80-year-old pastor who is radiant, healthy, and has his own way of doing things. As he spoke, he began to reveal his secrets. He spent 2.5 million yuan a few years ago to buy a property to use as a church, and the members inside were all old men and old women, there was no one else. I know another very poor pastor, and this 80-year-old pastor sold half of the property he bought for 2.5 million yuan a few years ago to this poor pastor for the same price. I don't know how the procedures were done, but this old pastor also made a lot of money by selling other properties. Some people are confused, why is he blessed financially? Actually, everyone doesn't need to feel strange, you get what you believe! He believes that God will bless him in wealth, then he will really get it.
Everyone has a set of things they believe in. All kinds of pastors, no matter which denomination, have their own beliefs. Within the scope of what they believe, what they believe is what they get, because they declared it openly themselves! As for us, we believe in Jesus Christ and pursue the path of being like Jesus Christ! I absolutely can't bring myself to do the things they do.
Characteristics of a Spiritual Person
Brothers and sisters, you must know that the faith of Jesus Christ is about being a spiritual person, not a carnal person. The characteristic of a spiritual person is getting things done! Many people give testimonies of things not being accomplished and then thank God. I find it very strange; what are you thanking for if it wasn't accomplished? So the characteristic of a spiritual person is getting things done. This is the attribute of our God. God wants to restore the same attribute in you, which is to get things done, because that is the practice of faith. In the whole process of getting things done, you will find that what keeps you going is faith.
There was once a person who knelt in the temple all day long to pray, and his knees developed calluses. Many people said he was very spiritual because his knees looked like those of an old camel. This can certainly fool many people because they do not understand the first chapter of Genesis and are thus confused. Look at these knees, a symbol of a mighty warrior of prayer; the knees are calloused, but what does that prove? Now, do not be fooled anymore!
Some people lead worship on stage, and others think they are very spiritual. I do not know if I can lead as well as they do. But remember, getting things done is the key! Some people lead prayer on stage, and many people fall down below. What does that prove? They cannot do anything else, but they are good at falling in front of the stage and shouting Hallelujah loudly. I do not think this is the image of Jesus. As for whether they are doing it right or not, I do not care. What I pursue is God's will of management in me. God wants me to manage and govern this land and then get things done!
Someone once opposed me, and his evaluation of me was quite accurate. He said that if I wanted to do something, I would definitely get it done. I also told everyone that even if no one followed me in building God's glorious church, I would still follow and never turn back! I thank God! To this day, God is still faithful, and seeing the brothers and sisters of the church being edified gives me great comfort.
The characteristic of a spiritual person is getting things done and managing well! If a person cannot even manage his own messy bedroom, how can he manage other things? Some time ago, my colleague introduced me to a pastor. Because I like to do carpentry, they asked if I could help him, and I gladly accepted. When I went over, I saw his proud kitchen with cabinet doors almost falling off, taped with adhesive tape, and the whole house was messy and unbearable to look at, which was incomprehensible. I offered to fix it for him, but he said he needed to consider it. Later, I asked him how his consideration was going, but I did not receive a reply for a long time. Finally, there was a message saying that the doors had not completely fallen off yet, so there was no need to do it. But the wood was rotten. If this were a temple built like this, what would we do? This pastor was a nice person with low demands, just that his clothes were not tidied up, his computer was covered in dust, and everything was a mess.
Judge People by Results
Judge people by results. Jesus said, "You must listen to what I say and see what I do." What Jesus did was very powerful. Only when things are done are there results; if they are not done, there are no results. For example, if a person dates a hundred times but never gets married, it is a waste of feelings and emotions. You will find that God works, and various trees and vegetables will bear fruit, and people will also multiply. So, judge by results.
I am a person who can withstand scrutiny, and I welcome everyone to examine me. Some people trust me because the main thing is to look at what people do, and never just listen to what people say. Liars are the best talkers. Look at what people say and do. When God speaks, things are done, but when the devil speaks, things are ruined. So, to see if a person is of God or of the devil, rely on the Spirit of God to shape yourself into a person who gets things done. If you have not accomplished anything in the past few years, it means your mind is too dirty and must be dealt with. Opening your mouth, you talk about petty gossip, blaming others for wronging you, doing a lot of things to discern good and evil, ruining yourself and then ruining others, and you cannot accomplish anything. You will find that God said it again and again:
God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. (Genesis 1:3)
God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. (Genesis 1:6-7)
God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. (Genesis 1:9)
Things are done step by step. Chinese Mingding Destiny begins with faith and leads to faith, which means that things must start from a very small faith. Small faith bears small fruit; great faith bears great fruit; and then little by little, faith grows bigger and bigger. Some traditional theological concepts are quite corrupt because they are fundamentally unbelieving. There was an old preacher, almost 80 years old, who had built a church for many years, and his head was rotting. When he was still clear-headed, he paid a heavy price for his past years of blindly speaking without knowing God.
Know that preaching the wrong gospel is cursed! Chinese Mingding Destiny does not feel that we have already obtained it, but it is a drop in the ocean, a hair from nine oxen, and we must strive to pursue it. So it is said to begin with faith and lead to faith, and we run forward on the path of faith. The faith of traditional churches does not begin with faith; many are based on morality and behavior. The Bible says that all who rely on works and the law are cursed because they cannot be done and there are no results, just putting on a show.
When I lead you in prayer, I often ask, "Is it better?" If it is a little better, the faith is a little stronger, and then it is a little better again. Some people's thinking is that as long as the problem is not completely solved, they say it is not better. When asked if it has been alleviated, they say it has been alleviated. What they have in their hearts is not beginning with faith and leading to faith; as long as there is still a little that is not better, it is not good. Of course, you do not have to pretend; if it is not better, say it is not better. You must know that getting things done is definitely a practice of faith from beginning to end, a process of constantly practicing vision.
Accomplishing Things by the Spirit of God
We are talking about a spiritual principle. Some people say, "I believe I will become the richest man in Singapore," but it has not happened yet! That is called unrealistic. Things are accomplished by the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of God leads us to walk in the will of God. If the Spirit of God does not agree with what we say, believing is also blind faith. We must restore the attributes of God. The words we speak are with faith. The words of Jesus are spirit and life; the words of the devil are also spirit, but they are corrupt. So rely on the Spirit of God, not the spirit of the devil. A person who relies on the Spirit of God will definitely be able to get things done!
Brothers and sisters, do you long to walk in the will of God? God wants us to prosper and be able to get things done. How God does it, we do it. Because we are all created in the image of God. Speak the words of God, walk in the will of God, according to the heart of God, and accomplish things by the Spirit of God. This is the key to getting things done, and then you will become a manager.
May God bless everyone!
Genesis Chapter 1 Scripture
1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
1:2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
1:4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
1:5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
1:6 And God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water.”
1:7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so.
1:8 God called the expanse “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
1:9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.
1:10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
1:11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.
1:12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
1:13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
1:14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years,
1:15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so.
1:16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night—and he also made the stars.
1:17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth,
1:18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
1:19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
1:20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.”
1:21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
1:22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”
1:23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.
1:24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.
1:25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
1:27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
1:28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
1:29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
1:30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
1:31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
