This is the last chapter of Isaiah, and it is of great importance. It re-establishes the foundation of our faith. The theme of this chapter is: But to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
God knows those who heed His words. Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool—everything in this world is created by our God, and this is the foundation of our faith. Today, we must understand that whether good or bad, angels or demons, they are all created by God. As I was reading the Bible, I was suddenly moved: why did God create unclean animals? Like crabs and vultures that feed on decaying corpses. Everything God creates has its purpose. Why did God create angels? Demons are also angels, fallen angels, and their duty is to cleanse those whom God considers to be rubbish. Therefore, we must understand whom God delights in and values, and whom God detests and considers evil.
Building God's Glorious Church According to His Will
Jesus told a very interesting story: the kingdom of heaven is like a man who casts a net, gathering the good into containers while throwing away the bad. I have a conviction: I will not retain those who leave the church. Whether a person has a humble and contrite spirit and trembles at God's word determines whether he is valued by God. Some leave the church because of the lies of the devil, but we can choose: do you want to obey God's words, or do you want to forsake them?
Building a glorious church is the theme of the New Testament. People can choose to listen to God's words and act accordingly, or they can choose not to. Hypocritical Christians often say things that are not in the Bible, while neglecting to speak the words that are in the Bible, which is extremely dangerous. Such Christians also pray and offer sacrifices, but God does not accept them.
Observing and following God's words brings blessings, while failing to do so brings curses. Some fear many things but do not fear God. Today, let us carefully examine those who act according to God's words and see if they live in blessing.
He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. (Isaiah 66:3)
People can act according to God's words or walk their own paths. Some offer sacrifices and pray only to complete a religious ritual, which is not pleasing to God. If you build God's temple according to His words, it is pleasing to God; if you do not build according to His words, then you are like these hypocrites, merely completing a religious ritual. We must know that those who killed Jesus in His time were those who served God in the temple. This is hard to understand—those who serve God killed God's Son. This is hypocrisy.
Today, the church is filled with all kinds of hypocrisy, and God often allows us to fall into confusion. Some time ago, a sister testified on stage about how much God cared for her and how she had obtained a good job, but the next day, she decided to leave the church. What is her condition now? Her rheumatoid arthritis has relapsed. What God dislikes most is those who corrupt His church. You must know that God calls you, and you must respond; do not do what God dislikes.
There is one thing we must know: a spiritual person is often persecuted by the fleshly. Esau persecuted Jacob, and Joseph was persecuted by his brothers, who even made sarcastic remarks when he was persecuted. That sister told me, I am leaving the church, but I will still pray for you, and I want you to always have joy. I told her, I really don't need that. If you really want to see our joy, then build the church with us. If you cannot build a glorious church with us, then you can only leave. Do not be hypocritical, only caring about your own affairs, not focusing on God's affairs, and specifically doing what is evil in God's eyes. What are you doing?
We must know for sure that the New Testament speaks of building a glorious church. You will never suffer loss by doing so. If you forsake such a Mingding Destiny, then you will surely be the one who is disgraced. We want to obtain God's glorious Mingding Destiny, which is wonderful. If we do not live for this, what else is the point? Therefore, we must know that in this generation, God will execute recompense on those without a Mingding Destiny, with the aim of bringing these people back to God's glorious church. We pay a great price to build the church. Our church is in its current state because of our past sacrifices, which were full of tears.
Those who come among us will receive healing, and those seeking jobs will receive good opportunities. This cannot be achieved in a day or two, but through much shaping. The church is the body of Jesus Christ. Today, our church is built according to God's instructions, and God can surely solve the difficulties in our lives. Recently, I have been very moved because the brothers and sisters who come to our church seeking jobs have all received good opportunities.
Sharing Glory with the Church
Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her. (Isaiah 66:10)
For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be fondled upon her knees. (Isaiah 66:12)
Loving the church is loving Jesus. How can you love the invisible God if you cannot love the visible church? The New Testament church is Jerusalem. It is God's will to gain glory with the church. We are a group of people who have received grace and favor. Those among us who seek jobs receive good jobs, and those with illnesses receive healing. A sister had a malignant disease, and in the morning, I prayed for her and she was immediately healed. By Jesus' stripes, we are healed; I speak according to God's word. I will curse those who curse you and bless those who bless you. We want to be such people, joyful in heart. Those who do not believe God's word become those upon whom God's wrath is poured out.
For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many. (Isaiah 66:15-16)
Do not think that there are many people with a Mingding Destiny; I tell you, there are actually very few. There are too many who despise God's word. Disaster does not come in a day. When recompense comes, there is no chance, and those slain by God are countless.
God will bless those who love His church. Those who practice alone—do you think they are carefully following God's words? They are not following all the words that come from God's mouth. The new heaven and new earth are created for God's glorious church. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. (Isaiah 66:22)
This is called eternal life. Some people spend all day discerning good and evil and still say they are saved. How important were the words that Jesus Christ spoke before He ascended to heaven? How can Christians have power without receiving the Holy Spirit? Today, many churches say not to receive the Holy Spirit, fearing that evil spirits will come.
If we do not build a glorious church, God is truly saddened. All of this is created by God. If you ask for the Holy Spirit, would God give you an evil spirit? The biggest problem with people is unbelief. God said that if you eat the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, you will surely die. How many people are still eating this fruit today?
They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the Lord. (Isaiah 66:17)
God will watch over those who love Jerusalem. Loving Jerusalem means building God's church. Do not fall into a state of sanctifying yourselves but entering the gardens, following one in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse. They shall be consumed together.
Do You Truly Tremble at God's Word?
In the process of building God's glorious church, we sometimes need to go into the inner room to draw near to God in prayer, but that is not God's primary command. When we carefully observe and follow all of God's words, we know which are the most important and most pleasing to God.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. (Matthew 23:23)
God calls those who tithe mint, anise, and cummin, but neglect the weightier matters of the law—justice, mercy, and faith—a brood of vipers, hypocrites. Truth exists in varying degrees of importance, and we must adhere to what is most crucial, what God values most.
For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your offspring and your name remain. From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the Lord. (Isaiah 66:22-23)
The new heavens and new earth are built for God's glorious church. God wants to build the new heavens and new earth, and our descendants and names shall remain—this is called eternal life.
Some do not build God's glorious church, and although they believe in the Lord, they live miserably, their minds filled with the knowledge of good and evil, ultimately lacking faith. The Bible says that those who believe will be saved, but consider, do you truly believe all that God has said? Do you genuinely tremble at God's word?
And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” (Acts 1:4-5)
Being filled with the Holy Spirit brings power. Peter, who followed the Lord Jesus and received revelation from the Father, ended up denying the Lord three times. Peter understood clearly that without the Holy Spirit, one is weak. Therefore, Peter asked everyone whether they had received the Holy Spirit. Do not believe theories that seeking the Holy Spirit invites evil spirits. If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! (Luke 11:13) Does God not have control over whether the Holy Spirit or an evil spirit comes? Would He give bad things to His children? Seeking the Holy Spirit will not invite evil spirits.
Thus says the Lord: 'Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest? All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the Lord. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word. (Isaiah 66:1-2)
If God finds such a group to build His church, to build such a temple, that will be God's temple, that will be the place of God's rest. If we do not build God's glorious church and cannot set people free, God's Spirit will be grieved.
You need not worry about anything; all this is built by God. Our God is very powerful. The question is, do you truly believe that God's word stands firm in the heavens? In fact, the biggest problem of man is unbelief.
God said that eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil leads to death, but many eat of it. Recently, when we were casting out the spirit of the dragon, those dominated by it always saw the bad in everything. Believing in the Lord means believing in a complete system. Loving and building God's glorious church is the path to eternal life.
Some admire the thief who alongside Jesus on the cross, entered paradise with Jesus, some envy such a person. The thief was imprisoned, crucified, never enjoyed anything in life, and was killed just when he could repent. Such thinking is dangerous. There will be no second crucifixion of Jesus, and even if there were, such an opportunity would not be yours.
Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice with her in joy, all you who mourn over her; (Isaiah 66:10)
For thus says the Lord: 'Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; and you shall nurse, you shall be carried upon the hip, and bounced upon the knees. (Isaiah 66:12)
We enjoy God's grace and favor. God bestows upon us grace beyond what we ask or imagine. Building God's glorious church is truly wonderful. All our good comes from God alone.
From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the Lord. “They shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.” (Isaiah 66:23-24)
Although I have not been to heaven or hell, we believe what God says. Do not follow your own ways. Isaiah does not mention the devil, because the devil cannot determine your path; you must decide your own path. You can follow your own desires or follow God's word. Even if God's word does not align with our desires, we follow God's word because our own desires are illusory, and we do not know enough. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
We must have a reverent heart, we must be humble, because God looks upon those who are humble and contrite in spirit and tremble at His word. My own thoughts are wrong; God's words are right. It is not that God needs us to do anything for Him, but because God loves us and does not want us to perish. Because we are willing to build God's glorious church, God's Spirit is within us, God is with us, and we are at rest together. Rest is not leisure; being with God is rest.
Conclusion
God asks, where is the place of my rest? In fact, God does not need a temple made by human hands. What God needs is a glorious church completely united with Him in love. The union of man and God, God finds rest, and that is also where we find rest. Solitary cultivation is not the way; building God's glorious church is.
Resolve to build God's glorious church, to build God's resting place. To gain God's favor and care, and surely gain joy from God, surely receive comfort, be carried upon the hip, and bounced upon the knees. To be pleasing to God is to enter into eternal existence. We and our descendants shall exist forever, eternally existing in God is what we should pursue.
Now abide faith, hope, and love. We must begin to ascend the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. Begin to behold all of God's glorious grace and glorious promises. Come before God to worship and praise Him, and strengthen the concept of the church. By all means, obtain the Mingding Destiny to build God's glorious church.
