Can Running to Special Conferences and Churches Obtain Anointing?
Let us discuss a common misconception in the church. Even today, many Christians enjoy attending special conferences, flitting from one to another. Their logic is: I want to gain anointing, the more conferences I attend, the stronger the anointing will be.
However, I have scoured the Bible and found no such truth about anointing. Regarding anointing, an American pastor applied the story of Elisha from the Bible. Elisha had anointing on him, and after he died and was buried, a dead man touched Elisha's tomb and came back to life.
The pastor then took this as truth, believing that famous pastors would have anointing on them after they died. As a result, some people went to the tombs of famous pastors to absorb anointing. But what did they actually absorb?
We need to be clear about what this anointing is. Many people think that anointing is ability, that having anointing means having power and signs and wonders. Do they want to be a blessing to others? Yes, they do, and they are very diligent, but only in receiving anointing.
If there are people among us who like to attend special conferences, I would ask you: Is there such a situation in the Bible? I certainly haven't found it. If you have, please tell me.
I am a person who likes to return to the Bible to seek answers. If it is not found in the Bible, even if I say it, it is nonsense. Some things are not absent from the Bible, such as the story of Elisha, but you cannot find a relevant theme. Therefore, I suggest that everyone develop a systematic approach to reading the Bible.
Anointing is Prepared for Those with a Mingding Destiny
Even today, there are many people in the church who like to attend special conferences and run to different churches, hoping to gain anointing. Why? Because they want to solve their problems. But in the end, are their problems solved? No, they are not. So, how does the Bible describe anointing? The Old Testament mentions David being anointed and Saul being anointed. After being anointed, they became kings of Israel, shouldering responsibilities.
This means that anointing is inseparable from your Mingding Destiny and your responsibility. We can understand that anointing is the ability that a person with a Mingding Destiny receives from God. Anointing is not valid if it is separated from Destiny. Anointing is the ability that God gives to those with a Mingding Destiny to accomplish their mission.
Over the years, as our church has grown, we have thoroughly studied the spiritual nature of diseases. We have also understood things like health maintenance, caring for the body, and indulging the flesh. We have also understood the attacks and breaches of the devil. At the same time, we have also understood the issue of anointing. Anointing is inseparable from Mingding Destiny.
Therefore, everyone must understand God's will. God wants to build the body of Jesus Christ, which is the Church of God, and to establish God's victorious church. This itself is Mingding Destiny. If we receive this Destiny, God will surely give us anointing. This is certainly not absorbed from graves.
If this is the case, we must be careful about the phenomenon of attending special conferences. Many Christians like to do this. What happens after they attend? You can investigate. If you are someone who likes to attend special conferences, you can examine yourself. Have you gained anointing? In reality, you have not. Therefore, anointing is related to building God's victorious church and entering into Mingding Destiny.
Rejecting the Corruption of Religious Practices
If we want to be a blessing to our families and to this generation, we must shoulder the Mingding Destiny of building God's victorious church. Remember, we can only receive anointing by building a victorious church, not by attending special conferences.
People who attend special conferences also have a misconception, which is that the big pastors have anointing. But after my investigation, those who attend special conferences are still the same. We must return to the most fundamental thing, which is what we are actually doing. We must be vigilant about attending special conferences and running to different churches. This is a religious practice and a form of corruption.
I met a person who asked me if I had been to Israel. I replied that I had. He said that it was good to have been to Israel. He asked me how many times I had been there. I said that I had only been there once. I thought to myself that once was enough. But he thought that it was not enough and that I should go often.
Hearing him say this, I was reminded of a pastor couple I know. They go to Israel once or twice every year, especially in the past five or six years.
But after they went to Israel, was there anything different about them? I really didn't see it. A classmate of mine in his church privately told me that the pastor couple didn't change much after each return from Israel. I wondered what they had been doing there. I didn't quite understand.
Later, I also found out that my pastor friend was very old and still very poor, and didn't even have his own house. He said that he was so poor that all he had left was spiritual. I calculated that a trip to Israel costs 30,000 RMB per person, so for two people it would be 60,000 RMB. If they went twice a year, that would be 120,000 RMB, which would be enough to pay for the down payment on a house, right? Anyway, I don't understand.
Later, I took him to see some properties, but he was unwilling to go, saying that he was not interested. After I took him there, I encouraged him to buy a property. At that time, the price of a property was more than 5,000 RMB per square meter, which was quite reasonable. But he didn't buy it, wanting to save the money to run to Israel.
I still don't understand the matter of running to Israel. I know that Muslims go on pilgrimage to Mecca, but I haven't heard of Christians going on pilgrimage to Israel. I find that the idea of running to special conferences and churches to get anointing is not very reliable. After reading the entire Bible, I haven't figured out why one should go to Israel.
Breaking Free from Misconceptions, Building a Victorious Church
Both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible speak of Jerusalem, stating that those who bless Jerusalem will be blessed. What is Jerusalem? The Book of Revelation makes it very clear that the new holy city, New Jerusalem, descends from heaven. This New Jerusalem is the Church! It is the congregations of God's people that form the New Jerusalem. In other words, to be committed to one's own church and build up the Body of Jesus Christ, that is Jerusalem.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, you must understand that if we do not comprehend these things, we will receive a curse. So to the brothers and sisters who run around to different churches, let me give you a word of advice: break free from this.
Then there are those who constantly want others to pray for them, which is ineffective. Some have misconceptions about intercessory prayer, thinking that the more people pray for them, the more powerful they become, always focusing on receiving anointing and power.
However, the Bible says that when the Holy Spirit comes upon a person, they will receive power. The Holy Spirit coming upon us is the anointing. How did Paul receive power? Through prolonged prayer in tongues, being filled with the Holy Spirit.
If the Holy Spirit is without limit, then one will be very powerful. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is related to power, and anointing is related to Mingding Destiny; being filled with the Holy Spirit and anointing mean nearly the same thing. So, what should we do after being filled with the Holy Spirit? Build God's victorious Church. If that is the connection, we must form a systematic concept, building a holy, unified, truth-abiding, and battle-winning church of elite soldiers.
Conclusion
Our online testimonies are very worth listening to. This is God blessing us, making our service more and more powerful and able to bless this generation more and more. Therefore, everyone must begin to pay attention to this misconception of running to conferences, running to churches, and gaining anointing.
Some people simply enjoy doing these things, but these things have no biblical basis. So why do they do these things without biblical basis? Because they use idolatrous ways to trust in God, which is a very dangerous thing.
May God bless you all!
