Good day! Today we will delve into our second lecture, focusing on “Methods of Active Learning.” Our course is structured to provide you with well-organized logical frameworks and concepts, but the real practice comes later. Aim to be an active learner. If you are in your early teens, or even just seven or eight and starting your education, remember my words: be an active learner. Today, we will specifically address Methods of Active Learning because method is crucial. Many struggle in their studies, repeatedly using absurd, inefficient, and frankly terrible learning methods, hoping for eventual success. Let me assure you, there is no need to try such folly; with flawed methods, your efforts will be in vain, even until your final days.

I will emphasize today that success in any endeavor hinges on having the right approach. Without the right method, achieving the desired outcome is impossible. My intention is not merely to chant, Be an active learner, be an active learner! like a nagging mother, but rather to provide you with actionable methods.

I. The Starting Point of Active Learning: Asking Questions

If you can articulate a problem with clarity, you are already well-advanced. The remaining task is to solve the problem. Just today, a brother called me through our counseling hotline, requesting my guidance. I asked, Guidance on what? He replied, Teacher, I don't know what to study. He presented a formidable challenge right from the start. Did he think he could stump me? While he may not know what to study, I know, do I not? But the matter itself poses a question: We must first clarify what I should study.

Does the phrase I don’t know what to study raise a question? Yes, it does. Has it begun? Yes, it has. Congratulations. As long as there is a question, you have initiated active learning, for we are problem-solvers. It is good to have problems. If you say, Teacher, I have too many problems, then we raise another question: Which one should I solve first? Some accumulate unresolved problems from their teens into their twenties, and then into their thirties. Today, they find themselves in their thirties, accomplishing nothing. The problem? Ineffective methods. I refuse to believe that you aspire to be inept; undoubtedly, you have put in considerable effort over the years.

So here is the crux: Where to begin? Begin with asking questions. We will encounter many problems in our lives. We are not short of problems; what we lack is learning and problem-solving skills. This includes deciding what to learn, what to learn first, what to learn later, how to learn, and how to start. Do these resonate with you? Surely. Do not think that merely listening to me concludes matters; your work has only just begun. Do not seek me out immediately; you must first ponder on these things. Sadly, many begin but quickly abandon the effort. They raise a question only to leave it unanswered. Can they possibly improve if they accumulate such unresolved issues?

For example, someone might be responsible for managing inventory, but as an accountant, they feel unsure how to proceed, saying, I don’t know how to manage it. I don’t know where to start, or what to do. Has he ended? Yes. Why? Because having posed a problem, the next step is to find a method to solve it. Today, I will explain that the method for active learning centers on this. I will give many examples to illustrate that merely raising a question is insufficient. One must then resolve the question.

There is too much complaining these days. Many face severe economic pressures and intense competition, and their response is lament. Lamenting accomplishes nothing. I heard someone say once, It’s all the fault of the system. I said, What systemic issue? This is your issue. Have I taken on human resources responsibilities? Many times. Many will say, It’s all my boss’s fault.” No! It is your problem.

So eliminate excuses. There may be countless excuses, but they are useless. There may be endless complaints, but they achieve nothing. People either presume they know, do not want to know, or believe it is impossible to know. Does this not degrade people? Nonsense, chaos, and disorder! One must have a clear objective. Take note of the words I often repeat: Clear objective, defined strategy, correct method. To accomplish something, one must have a clear objective, from which a defined strategy develops. Once the objective is set, a strategy must then be formulated. Defined strategy, correct method. Many establish a goal and stop there, ending the effort prematurely.

For example, during the early days of China's opening up, there was an old tailor in Beijing who ran a tailor shop. In those days, tailor shops were quite successful because ready-made clothes were not readily available. This old man was exceptional; he would attend every movie showing, focusing specifically on what the male and female leads wore. Upon leaving the cinema, if you asked him about the plot, he would not be able to tell you anything, but he knew exactly what they wore. Incredible, right? Absolutely brilliant. He was oblivious to the storyline, his mind obsessed with the clothes. What a talent! He would begin making the clothes the very next day. If he did not fully understand a particular outfit after one viewing, he would watch the movie two or three more times. Within a week, the clothes would be hanging on the rack. Customers would come in, see the outfit, and exclaim, Yes, that's exactly what I want. The celebrity effect was clear and his business flourished.

He had a clear objective; he was there to study the clothes, not to watch the movie. He could not have recounted the plot, but he knew exactly what they wore, often sketching notes. Remarkable! A person with a clear objective is difficult to confuse. Many of us simply get caught up in the spectacle, isn't that so? Avoid speaking nonsense, creating chaos, and living in disorder, or you will merely end up blind to everything. Remember, a person devoid of learning is helpless. Unable to resolve problems, they become frustrated. This frustration leads to illness, a straightforward and logical sequence. Seeking medical help further drains their finances, all stemming from a lack of learning. The most important attitude is to recognize: I am helpless; I do not understand; I have not figured this out. What should the correct approach be? Consider it carefully; these are the issues we face daily.

Recently, a sister in our community spoke about her brother, who tends to say inappropriate things. She firmly corrected him. Why? Because she did not know how to handle their relationship, leading to strain. This strained relationship caused distress for the older family members and hardship for the siblings. Why? Because they lacked the knowledge and the skills. I offered her some advice. My advice was effective: a few jokes. Oh, here comes the esteemed young master of the Li family! I am honored to greet you! Then, a courteous gesture from the Qing Dynasty, fluttering the sleeves. These gestures can lighten the mood, showing you honor him. He may lack achievement but still seeks respect from his family. He does not seek to learn or grow. When dealing with such individuals, we must learn and avoid confrontation.

In the Northeast, and in Tianjin too, people are fond of telling jokes. The people in the South are too serious, and become strained and this often brings hardship. Helplessness leads to frustration, and frustration leads to illness, and that comes from a lack of learning. Now we must learn a few tricks, whether from the Northeast or the Northwest, as long as they are useful. Some will say, Teacher, he does not understand. Then, as Northerners would say, What are you fussing about? Look at you showing off your new thermos! That is the flavor of Northerner's speech. As they talk, everyone laughs, which is quite entertaining. “What are you fussing about?” they ask. He will come over to take a look. If you put on a Zhao Benshan hat or a Xiao Shenyang’s skirt, it will all be eye-catching and very attractive! He will laugh and forget the other things.

So today, we are discussing methods of active learning, using a few simple questions as examples. Last time, I spoke of a problem-based approach, but I am unsure what the English translation is. So let's simply use the English acronym PBL.

II. I Do Not Know What to Study?

I do not know what to study? Surely this sentiment resonates with many of you? When I ask you to learn, you often say, I don't know what to study. This is a familiar refrain, right? Today, we will examine this. It is not that you are entirely ignorant, but perhaps overwhelmed by too many problems. It is overwhelming, like a mountain, and you do not know where to start. You say, I don't know what to study? Another possibility: You are not clueless and likely know the problems you face.

Let us use the most troubling issues that plague us, those that cause us the most suffering, or those that prevent us from earning a living. Can we list these problems? Once they are listed, you recognize, Ah, now I know. I don't know what I need to study, but I can list my problems.” For example, I run a small shop, but I don’t know how to manage it.” Or, I am graduating from high school, and I don’t know what to do after graduation. Now the problems are identified. Right? We then list our problems and consider what we know and what we don't know. Is this hard? Begin listing them now.

For example, a poor relationship between siblings distresses their mother. We list this problem and explore how to address it and what to learn. Once this is resolved, we move on to the next problem. Problems are solved one by one, right? Some may ask, Why do I repeatedly offend God? We begin to study. You said, I don't know what to learn? Today, I am telling you to learn how to solve your current problems. How's that for straightforward? You say you don't know how?

For example, a sixteen-year-old student is labeled as having a learning disability by his teacher. His father diligently tries to tutor him in mathematics. Tutoring someone with a learning disability in mathematics? Does that make sense? As the father lectures, his voice grows louder, and the son’s voice grows louder as well. Are they working against each other? Is this what the boy needs to study? Therefore, we must know what issue to address.

If you were the father, what would your problem be? What problem should I address now? What should I do? How should I proceed? Should I immediately try to teach him these things? What is the point? It is useless. I asked the father, Did you listen to what I said before? He said, Yes, I did. I asked, If you listened, why didn't you act accordingly? Because the child learns these things passively. Does continuing with a passive approach yield improvement?

Then he said, Teacher, what should I do now? I said, Get your child to learn to use their hands. If they don't, they will be unemployed after graduation. What do we do now? Develop a habit of doing things with your hands. Even if the toilet is clogged, we can unclog it. That’s life. Learn to install something, to fix something with your hands. Even learning a trade, like being a barber, is a good option. He said, I'm not good at math, but I can learn to unclog toilets, right? Isn't that the idea?

Let's learn what we can learn. You see, he says, I don't know what to learn. Now you know, right? List our problems. For example, if you want to open a shop in the future, you have to learn how to open a shop, right? You have to learn the relevant knowledge. How do we learn to open a shop? First, work in a shop. In fact, a few words can solve it. Is it hard? Not hard, right?

So many parents, including many children, are doing it wrong. How are children ruined? They are ruined by their parents because they don't know what to do. In fact, to open a shop, you work in someone else's shop, and after a while, you learn those things, right? Once you've learned, you can open your own shop. It's very simple. So now you know what to learn, right? For example, if I open a small shop and I hire an employee, and I don't know how to manage them, what should I do? You learn how to manage, right?

My mother knows how to manage. Where did my mother learn it from? She learned it from the university of life. But many people don't know how to learn. They give money to the school, but they don't learn anything. Do you understand? This is called passive learning. Since ancient times, China has had a habit called apprenticeship. You see how others manage, and you learn from those who manage well. You look at the service industry, how does Haidilao do it? How can service be improved? How are employees motivated? What is the right way to do it? Learn it slowly. I'll tell you more about this later. There's a lecture later on how to use resources. Do you have many problems today? Yes, many. So this is how to start learning.

III. Teacher, Where Do I Start Learning?

Some people say, Teacher, I don't know where to start learning. Write down the problem and start learning from there. That is, when you list these problems, focus on the ones that bother you the most, the ones that waste the most time. You don't have time because these things eat it up. And you can't fix them, so you list these things. Then you see, okay, you definitely know this thing. You can't say you don't know. You definitely know some things when you encounter problems; there are some things you don't know; there are some things you need to dig out to know. Right? Then we start solving the problem, and the second problem is solved easily. How simple, do I need to answer? Just solve the problem with the highest return.

Then you say, Teacher, I can't solve this problem. That's okay. Can we solve a problem that doesn't have such a high return, but I think I can solve it? Right? Don't look for a difficult one, first look for a simple one. The Art of War says: be sure to attack the enemy's weakest point first. Simple, isn't it? You say, Teacher, is this a method? What else could it be? My methods are super simple, even old women can understand them. Of course, there are many old women among us, so you must understand it; and the men will understand it even better. What's so difficult about this? The things we summarize are easy to learn. How simple. Have you learned these two problems yet? We have learned these two problems. It's not difficult, we just confused ourselves, isn't that the case?

We are specifically looking for problems that we cannot solve, looking for the most difficult one, and as a result, we grind ourselves down until we have no confidence. Where do we start? Start with solving the problems we can solve. We leave the problems we can't solve for later. What we want to learn is to start with the problems we face. Don't be impatient. Solve one problem at a time. What's the rush? There’s no need to rush to the afterlife, right? Is everyone rushing to get into the urn? There’s no need to rush. People ruin their lives by being anxious. Being anxious to solve problems doesn't solve problems. Being anxious to get money from other people's pockets into your own pockets just doesn't work. Don't be anxious. If we solve one out of ten problems, then there are only nine left. You say, Teacher, I still know how to do this math. Then that’s good. If you solve one out of nine problems, then there are only eight left. He said, Teacher, do you think I am ignorant, telling me this elementary school math? In fact, I tell you, you only need to know addition and subtraction to make a lot of money. Do you understand? It’s not difficult. Where is it so difficult?

IV. How Do I Plan My Career Development?

You see, is career development a big topic? It is. So how do I plan my career development? I tell you, many young people get confused as they work, right? They don't know where to go in the future? They learned a lot of finance, but then they became accountants, wasting many years, isn't that the case? Some people studied computers, and then they went to paint, these are all real examples among us, then what did you go to college for? Later, when they came among us, they went to college and were cheated out of tens of thousands of dollars by their classmates, and they also took out a loan. After graduating from college, they owed tens of thousands of dollars. I really think their brains don't work very well. So why do we need shepherding, do we need co-workers? We need to master this knowledge, right? If you master this knowledge, you can help them. Some people say, Hey, it's not like this, it’s like that.” When I see these things, I feel that our pastor's burden is very heavy.

Among us, there was a sister who couldn't even afford to eat a few years ago. She accidentally got a job as a domestic helper. As she worked there, she ended up in the home of a very rich person, and then she started learning how to be a domestic helper. You should know that the salary is not low, it's all around fifteen thousand, and some of the better ones are thirty thousand. They are butlers in wealthy people's homes. As a result, her boss immigrated. They couldn't take the butler with them to immigrate. They can’t move the butler! As a result, her boss said, Do you want to stay and take care of my parents?

I ask you, what kind of job is taking care of the elderly? What kind of job is being a butler in a home? Are they the same job? How should you plan at this time? You have to make a decision. If I just want to be a caregiver, then that’s a caregiver. If I want to do domestic management, then that's domestic helper. That's different, so what is your career development direction? Where exactly are you developing? Then how should you make a decision? Many people get confused as they work. In fact, many times among us, you have been working in society for decades and occupied a position in a place.

That’s the case with this sister. Many years ago, she actually did a job. That job was actually a profession that was in demand. She quit. I said, Why did you quit? She said, I don't have any development. Alas, my goodness, how could there be no development at the beginning? So, how do you plan your career? For example, to take care of the elderly, that's not no development, it's just that we don't know where to develop, we don't know how to plan. Then this problem is very obvious: what will I do in the future? If you don't know, then learn. Let’s say you are a caregiver, can you start a caregiver company and become the boss of the company? Recruit a lot of caregivers, build a platform, and offer caregivers, I provide caregivers here. Can I do caregiver training? Am I the best caregiver among the caregivers? Can I sort out these caregivers' problems for them? That domestic helper and this problem are completely different. What we want to learn today is to start from solving these problems. You will find: Teacher, this problem doesn't look easy, but it's not difficult. Is it difficult? Does everyone think it's difficult? Is it as difficult as calculus? Is it as difficult as trigonometry? Where is it difficult? Right?

You ask me what carpentry is? Carpentry is just a few boards, long, flat, square, all square boxes, no matter how big the square box is, some are flatter, some are taller, some are thinner, some are longer, isn't that the case? Wardrobes are standing square boxes. Right? If you ask me, a table is just a longer square box. It’s just this thing. A TV stand is a longer and flatter square box. Do you understand?

How should I plan my career development? Today someone asked me, Teacher, what should I learn? What are you doing now? Customer service. Okay, can you do the work of your supervisor in customer service? I can't. Then learn. What are you doing now? I am managing influencers. Then can you do the work of the small leader of your department in managing influencers? I can't. Then learn. If you learn, learn, then you'll become a top student. You must go up. Every industry has its depths. Don't change tracks often, changing will confuse you, right? You will be confused as you work. This mountain looks higher than that mountain, but when you get to that mountain, it is not so high, isn't that the case? So planning your career is planning it this way.

Can you do your current job well? If you can't do it well, can you learn to do it well? Learn to do it well. Don't be down-to-earth. You just want to put other people's money into your own pockets, and they don't allow it, and you make yourself very uncomfortable. Give me the money, I won't give it! Give me the money, I won't give it! Hey? How can I give it? Unless you hold a knife in your hand and say give me the money! Then people wouldn't dare not give it. But today in society, how big is the risk, and the cost is also very high. In the end, the knife is gone, and in the end, you will go to prison to spend your days. Career development is not done this way. It's not about putting your money into my pockets, it's about solving your own problems and solving other people's problems.

Someone said, I studied computer networks in college. Let me go out and do computer networks, and then constantly improve and become a computer network expert. Is that good? That's good. My previous job started with customer service, and I became my leader's painkiller. My leader's pain became my pain. In the end, what happened? As I worked, I became better than my leader! But I tell you, thank God! My leader resigned! You say, Why are you saying that so quietly? I didn't make him resign, he wanted to resign himself. Why? He had to resign. God wanted him to resign. He couldn’t not resign, and I took his place. As I worked, I was able to do the work of my boss's manager! He resigned again. Ah? Don't speak loudly, I'll tell you secretly, I didn't do it, he wanted to do it himself, God wanted him to move, could he not move? I sat in his place. This is my career plan. I won't be thinking that this mountain is higher than that mountain, messing around and switching back and forth, right?

This career planning thing is that you need to do this well. You need to become a problem solver. You have already occupied a small piece of territory. Can you make that small piece of territory bigger? Just do this, do it down-to-earth. I tell you, to this day, I am definitely good at doing customer service. You say, Teacher, are you still doing customer service now? Yes. I do customer service at the highest level, why wouldn't I do it? So you learn this thing and start expanding. The fear is that you say, Ah, I have no growth, I'm fine here! I ask, Can you do your boss's job? No. What development? Look at your lousy appearance, hurry up and develop! Don't resign easily, don't change tracks easily! Changing tracks is troublesome. You are always in line. You see that this line is very long, so you change to another line and go to the end of that line, right? After queuing, you change to another line again. Isn't that just changing teams all your life? It's like going to McDonald's to buy a burger, changing a team for a while, and then changing a team again, never getting to eat that burger. Do you know what to learn? I know. Do you know what problems to solve? I know. How difficult is it? It's not difficult. The difficult thing is being down-to-earth.

5. How Do I Quickly Organise, Declutter and Clean?

Why am I bringing this up? Because you all need to do this. Take a look around your home. Is it in a state of squalor? If it is, then you are not a disciple. I have to tell everyone this, I often like to compliment myself. We have a sister among us who is quite remarkable. How so? After I tidied up, I found an Apple computer and five chargers. I asked, What do you need five chargers for? She replied, Teacher, you don't understand. I kept tidying up and couldn't find my charger, so I bought another one. Then I found the two chargers, and then I lost them again, so I bought a third one. Later, I couldn't find those either, so I bought a fourth one; and since I couldn't find those four, I ended up with five.

I said, Your arithmetic is quite impressive! One becomes two, two become three, three become four, and four become five. What's the point? The core issue is this problem of organisation, of categorisation. Always losing things, buying another one every time. Don't you think this is a problem? It is a problem. And believe me, I've been correcting her, teaching her how to organise for years! Many people type and tell me, Teacher, I have so many earphones, so many network cables, and I can never find them when I need them. Surely, many of you have this problem. Right? So, what to do? Why is it so messy? Because you don't know how to organise. I absolutely refuse to believe that you enjoy disorder, because once things are messy, you don't know how to fix it. Isn't that the case? I'm not wronging you, am I? Actually, I understand everyone very well, because once it's messy, it stays messy, because you don't know how to fix it. Today, we must learn how to organise.

Now, we must learn how to declutter, organise, and clean properly. So the issue is, ah, I didn't do it right. Doesn't that mean we need to learn? So let's start learning. Why is it that many people don't know how to organise? Let's answer this. Because after organising, it’s hard to find things, and taking things out makes it messy again. It's hard to take things out properly. But today, I'm telling you that I organise for the sake of easy access, and when I take something out, it doesn't become messy again. My method of organising is all about making it easy for me to use, access, and find items. How difficult do you think it was for me to summarise this? Many people tidy up but then can't find anything. They tidy up, but it's not functional. Taking something out makes it messy, tidying up makes it messy, and once it’s messy, you don't want to tidy up again. So, everyone learns today. For example, organising items in suitcases or cleaning rooms, everyone should cultivate a habit of learning.

How do I do this? Well, today I've raised this issue. Specifically, we have a course on organisation that everyone can take. Sometimes, when I look at our organisation courses, I think they take too much time. The organisation courses I teach are all about speed! If I tidy up once in two minutes, I don't mind; but if I have to tidy up for two hours each time, I really don't want to do it. Isn't that the case? You'll find that I tidy up extremely quickly! Why so fast? Because I first figure out how it should be tidied. When I'm organising, I'm thinking: how should I access it when I need it, how do I categorise everything.

For example, if this place is completely disorganised, I won't pick up one item and put it away neatly. No. I'll quickly sort things into several piles. I'm talking about details now, which I shouldn't be going into so much detail about, since we have this organisation course. But what's the method? You have to think: how many categories should I divide things into? Quickly divide them—this is called rough processing. After the rough processing, put items of one category here, and items of another category there. I start making a plan. Everything needs a plan. Then categorise everything, then put that pile there. After putting it away, this is called medium processing. The rest, during my leisure time, I will categorise and tidy up a little more. If I find it's not functional, I'll adjust it again. Understand?

Many of us do things ineffectively, and then we exhaust ourselves. Take the bathroom, for example. I'll tell you how I clean it. I clean the bathroom every time I shower, do you believe it? From the toilet to the walls. Why? Because I clean quickly, in two minutes. Actually, I'm telling you, I don't even need two minutes. As long as I use one or two minutes the first time I shower; one or two minutes the second time I shower; and thirty or forty seconds the third time; so every time I clean, it will never get dirty, messy, or have scales. Then, after a month, I'll specifically look at the areas with scales and scrub one corner this time, and another corner next time.

Do you know why I clean when I shower? Because it's easier to clean when showering. I'm not wearing clothes while cleaning; what do you think would happen if I wore a down jacket to clean the bathroom? It would get wet, and I'd have to clean the clothes. I just go ahead and do it directly. If some water splashes on me, I just rinse it off. Now you understand, right? So, what does this summarise? What is the key to speed? Why do people find learning strenuous? Because the method of learning is slow, and the method of doing things is slow. So, the ultimate skill is speed. If you cultivate a habit of being quick, whether it's working, doing things, or learning, won't you have plenty of time? The worst thing is dawdling. That's why I have rough processing, then medium processing, and then fine processing, because it's faster to do it this way! Doing fine processing directly is slow!

For example, if I have a suitcase and I'm about to travel, I'll write down on a piece of paper what I need to take, listing about twenty items. Then I'll quickly toss that item into the suitcase, and that item over there. I don't even pack it neatly. I just throw everything into the suitcase. When I'm about to leave, everything is inside. I quickly fold them neatly. It definitely won't be missing anything, and I'll check it off on the paper. So, if you're not quick, you'll dawdle. Once you dawdle, you won't want to do it. Once you don't want to do it, problems accumulate. Ultimately, it's a matter of method. Why is my living environment clean? I don't need anyone to take care of me. It's already good enough that I don't take care of others. I'm a very tidy person. Don't think that I'm clean because I have OCD. No. I'm clean, I don't have OCD, and I can also handle mess. I can live in any dirty environment for a short period of time, but it will definitely be clean after I've lived there for a while.

6. How Should I Write Documents and Take Notes?

You see, these things are all practical. The things you summarise, you think are high-level, but the things I summarise are always very practical. Very simple, straightforward. Actually, how do you write a document? How do you take notes? How do you take meeting minutes? You need to know that over the years, I've written so much. In English, it's probably tens of thousands of words, and even more in Chinese. When I'm writing, I didn't know how to write. Teacher, how do I write meeting minutes? If you search online, there are a lot of documents and courses teaching you how to write meeting minutes. Why do you have to ask me? Why not search for it first?

Writing everything is about the subject matter. Writing a novel is about the subject matter of novels, writing a resume is about the subject matter of resumes. So you see, whenever I encounter a problem—I don't know how to take meeting minutes—I learn. I don't know how to write a resume—I learn. I can take meeting minutes—where do I learn it? I go and search for other people's meeting minutes to see how they're written. I don't know how to take notes—I learn. There are courses like that. Everyone has a very bad habit, thinking that just because you've written something down, you can say, I did write it down. I ask, What did you write down? And they show me their notes. I say, You didn't write it down in your brain? Then what did you write it down for? It's just doing something aimlessly.

If I don't know how to take notes, I learn. I'm telling you, there's a lot of stuff online teaching you how to take notes. My biggest characteristic in doing things is the same as cleaning and organising—fast! One word solves it. What should you pay attention to when taking notes? Write clearly, write it down in your brain. Why write it down? It's to write it down in your brain, not in the computer. Now you understand. Learning things is very simple. As long as you're willing, just learn. There's plenty of material.

7. Any Complex Problem Is A Combination of Simple Problems

Any complex problem is a combination of simple problems. Note this down. Because you have a lie in your mind, which is, What the teacher says is definitely wrong. Why? Because it's too simple. This thing can't be that simple. I'm telling you, that's a bad habit. Because I know very well that I can do simple things, so I'll do slightly more complex things. If I encounter something slightly more complex, then I'll do something slightly more complex than that, and that becomes my ability to solve complex problems. Actually, complex problems are a combination of simple problems. Everyone, note this down.

Being able to break down a complex problem into several simple problems is not actually simple. That's why I'm teaching you this method. All complex problems are a combination of simple problems, there's no escaping that logic. If I'm doing customer service, what are the problems in customer service? First, customer service has to solve the customer's problems, that's business acumen. Business acumen is broad, so for example, in bank customer service, what kind of problems are there? Forgetting passwords, things like that. If you categorise them, there are just a few things. If you understand each one of those, then you'll definitely do well in customer service. The second is communication skills. You learn to speak, learn to communicate, learn to understand the customer’s problems. The third thing is slightly more difficult—how to pacify the customer's emotions. That's slightly more complex.

How can you pacify these problems? It's still a matter of language, art, and service attitude. Then you break it down further, and it becomes even simpler. How many kinds of emotions are there, what to do in this situation, what to do in that situation. What about doing sales? How do I do sales? Break sales down into several types. These are all complex problems. These complex problems are all a combination of several simple problems, there's no escaping that. Accounting is the same, HR as well, or doing projects. What is project management? The most important thing in project management is breaking down a complex project into several problems and assigning people to complete them. None of these problems are complex. What's complex is that we get overwhelmed as soon as we see these problems. Actually, it's not complex at all. That's why I'm teaching you this today. Really, I'm telling you, learning is like this. If you can do simple things, you can do complex things.

8. Do Not Leave Things Unfinished

Raise problems, solve problems. Not leaving things unfinished is my most important characteristic. Many people leave things unfinished, even if they have an appendectomy, they still leave things unfinished. Raising a problem is not explaining a problem, not passing the buck. Raising a problem is not about explaining the problem, but about solving the problem. That is key. This is what we talked about in the second lesson. Have you grasped the method? I will not say too much, everything starts from raising a problem, figuring out the problem, and after mastering it, you will find that the problem is so simple. If the problem is so simple, how can you not be a top student? If you master the method, you will definitely be a top student. Are there any children among us? If children have problems with studying, it's because they always want to do the difficult problems, and don't want to do the simple problems. They can't do the difficult ones, and they don't want to do the simple ones. Alright, let's move on to the next lesson.
