【Sermon】- Blessed is the Man!

2025-08-03 40

Introduction

Good morning, everyone! Today, I will share a topic titled "The Blessed Person." Starting from this Sunday, we will use the Book of Psalms as our scripture, expounding the Word while also explaining the Psalms. In past years, I have not touched the Psalms, and I have not found myself studying the Psalms in my Bible study. We have a grand dream, which is to study the entire Bible from beginning to end, and we are now almost finished.

The first chapter of Psalms is titled "The Blessed Person." It was written by a blessed person named David. This person was so remarkable; his entire life was under God's control. Later, he became the King of Israel, and his life was truly extraordinary. He never lost a battle when he led troops into war; he was truly a victorious general. Everything he did prospered, and nothing he planned failed. He summarized his experiences in the first chapter of Psalms.

A sister asked me: Teacher, how can I be blessed? I said: You need to be shrewd; how can you be blessed with your foolishness? She said: Teacher, how can I be shrewd? I said: That's easy. The most shrewd person in the Bible is David. Learn from David. How do you learn from David? Read the Book of Samuel first, and now read the Book of Psalms. Many of the Psalms were written by David, and the first chapter is one of them.

Living a life without blessings is a common phenomenon. It is not easy to be blessed; being without blessings is the norm. Living a life under a curse means there are blessings you cannot enjoy and sins you cannot avoid. Last night, I saw one of our small group leaders ministering to a sister who had a body full of hives. When she sent me a photo, I didn't think she looked like a blessed person.

She is from Malaysia and has been in Singapore for almost five years. Before that, she spent ten years in Taiwan, living in poverty and following a church that was not blessed. Later, she somehow found me, and God blessed her with a job in Singapore. As life got better, she started to become foolish.

How did she become foolish? She began to have no interest in the Word of God and no interest in serving. She used to shepherd people when she was poor, but now it would be worse if she did. Her salary increased, her job improved, and she began to lose interest in God. I wondered how someone could be so foolish. God rescued her from poverty, but she had no interest in prayer or reading God's Word, and she developed hives from taking health supplements.

Yesterday, as I prayed, I looked at her and felt so sad. I thought: How difficult it is to bring someone into blessing and make them a blessed person! How can people not understand God's work, and how can they not know where the path to blessing lies? People just don't understand spiritual things. Is hives a spirit? Yes, it is. Who brought it on? She brought it on herself.

Some time ago, a sister brought her good friend, who was also in the church choir. She took health supplements and had seizures, which is epilepsy. She was healed after praying in our midst, and then she left, free to do whatever she wanted. I thought, how difficult it is to bless people; how difficult it is to teach people to be shrewd. It is truly hard work.

Sometimes, as a pastor, I share half of your hardships. How can I not feel burdened when I see you living like this? Especially when things haven't happened yet, and I see people rushing headlong into ruin. You don't need a prophet or a prophecy; you can see with your own eyes that they are rushing headlong into ruin. Is that not a matter of life and death? Can health supplements solve spiritual problems? You have money to take health supplements but no time to pray? Later, I developed a habit: whether or not someone is blessed depends on their own choices.

There are not many wise people in the Bible. David is one of them, and you probably wouldn't even need all ten fingers to count the rest. Although we long for our brothers and sisters to live a blessed life and have some understanding of the spiritual world, the choice is still yours. Where is the path to becoming a blessed person? The path to blessing is in the Word of God. Let's listen carefully to David's explanation of the first chapter of Psalms, and you can slowly ponder it.

One of our sisters has had a bumpy road in her faith journey. Her mother got cancer and went to the hospital. The doctor said: It's okay, just have surgery and take some medicine, and you'll be fine. Her mother asked: Do I need chemotherapy? The doctor said: No, not at all. Did you hear the sales pitch? Only fools would believe that. Today's doctors are well-trained in their sales tactics, taught by their supervisors. Just as I train you, their supervisors train them.

You see that the surgery costs so little, and you can afford it. After the surgery, the doctor says: You still need to get injections. You say: Didn't you say that taking medicine would be enough? He says: If you don't get these injections, the surgery will be useless. Oh my goodness! Each injection costs four thousand dollars. Continuing like this is like dealing with a contractor who inflates a sixty-thousand-dollar renovation to one hundred thousand, and a one-hundred-thousand-dollar renovation to one hundred fifty or sixty thousand. Aren't these all sales techniques? But we can't blame them; they have to do this to make a living.

But would a blessed person encounter these things? No, they wouldn't. A blessed person wouldn't even get cancer, so why would they need injections or surgery? Where is the path to blessing? People are not only deceived by demons but also by people. People are fooled by demons and by people. It is truly hard work. In this day and age, you have to be careful not to buy counterfeit goods. It's good for me; I renovate my own house, write my own software, treat my own illnesses, and teach my own knowledge. Of course, people can't deceive me, except for buying some daily necessities.

People don't know the path to blessing. The paths to curses are everywhere; all roads lead to Rome, and all roads lead to curses. But there is only one path to blessing: "But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree."

The recent news is very interesting. Disasters suddenly befall people in their moments of glory. There was a great monk, and I won't name him. It's fine to be a monk, but he became a CEO. He even had the "O" in CEO. He turned a poor temple into a commercial empire worth billions or trillions. I don't care how much money he made or how many women and sons he had. I care about one thing: what did he eat to keep his body in such good shape? That's a joke.

Disasters have one characteristic: they are sudden. All disasters are sudden. Someone typed that several wealthy people jumped off buildings. I don't know if it's true; I haven't seen the news. This is serious. Can money save people? Disasters are sudden. If people do not delight in the law of the Lord, and do not love it, but merely follow it as a rule, it is useless. I have concluded that you must learn to love God. It is an emotion, as if something is missing if you don't love God, as if something is missing if you don't love reading God's Word.

Some brothers and sisters come to meetings. That's why I often say: Don't just keep a rule here, as if you have come and kept a rule. "I have attended the meeting; what more do you want from me?" "I have studied the Bible; what more do you want from me?" It's not like that. The key is to love God's Word.

I ask you, if you love God's Word, will you be annoyed when you read it? No, you won't. Will you be tired? You might be tired, but you will be very happy. I am willing. People are like this. Those who love to play mahjong can play all night without getting tired. Those who love to play video games can stay in an internet cafe and play computer games all night without getting tired. But if they do something they don't love, they will definitely get tired. Later, I concluded that some pastors work so hard because they don't love.

So the word "love" is very important. "But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree." If you fall in love with God and are suddenly in a passionate relationship, will you be tired? Passionate love is not tiring. So the word "love" is a very crucial thing. Without a heart that loves God, doing a lot of things is in vain.

Sometimes we find it strange. He comes to meetings, takes notes, does this and that, and then gets very tired. Then suddenly, an accident happens. Who will the demon look for if not you? He goes out for a walk in the morning, and an electric scooter hits him. That is directed by the demon. Remember, without a heart that loves God, it is meaningless.

Besides passionate love, there is also cold love, and lukewarm love. Some people say that twenty percent of families are in deep trouble. It seems that this number is not quite right. This is a statistic from many years ago. Now, twenty percent are in deep trouble, and eighty percent are lukewarm. That's about the number.

The curses we see coming upon people are just the tip of the iceberg. David saw much more. Why did David see so much? He experienced a lot himself, and he saw a lot because he was the king. Major lawsuits were brought to David to be judged. He governed Israel and personally judged countless cases. After observing and summarizing, he concluded that people live too hard. Why? Because these people do not delight in the law of the Lord.

Let me give you an example. One day, David was judging a case where a woman was gored by someone's cow and sued. David asked her: Why did the cow gore you? How is your relationship with your mother-in-law? As soon as the topic of her relationship with her mother-in-law came up, the woman got excited and complained about her mother-in-law. David understood.

David judged a case about inheritance where an old man died, and his descendants were fighting over the inheritance, causing bloodshed. After investigating, he uncovered all the old stories. According to the law, there are legal rules, which are not necessarily in accordance with our human reasoning. Our human reasoning is human reasoning, and God's reasoning is God's reasoning.

After the judgment, two years later, another lawsuit was filed. According to one of our sisters, her father's second wife made a living by filing lawsuits, suing her brothers and sisters over everything. When David saw that they were back again, he realized that they had benefited last time but suffered a loss this time.

After seeing so much, David said: Every matter in this world, after careful investigation, may seem like a gain in the eyes of people, but it is a loss in the eyes of God. It may seem like a loss in the eyes of people, but it is a gain in the eyes of God. People do not live by money but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. He gathered his personal experiences, observed, and summarized what a blessed person is like: "But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree."

I tell you, the tragedy of a person's life is loving to do what they want. I will do it my way. I have my own way of doing things, but your way is definitely not the way of the law of the Lord. I will go my own way, I will do what I like to do, I will be myself. How can he be blessed? People act according to the desires of their flesh, following the customs of this world, following the ruler of the kingdom of the air, and all that brings is ruin.

So, when you carefully observe what is innate in the human mind, none of it brings blessings. Only by relying on the Word of God can one be truly blessed. I say this not to boast, for the Word of God is genuinely good. Even now, those things we consider self-evident in our minds are corrupted.

Why meditate on God's law day and night? Why delight in the law of the Lord God? Because God's law contains two things: a curse and a blessing. The most crucial thing in life is not making money; it is about blessing and curse. If you live under a curse, you can forget about it. No matter how much money you accumulate, you will end up discredited, disgraced, and in a terrible state.

How wonderful it is to be blessed! You will be like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, its leaf does not wither, and whatever you do prospers. How wonderful! Do you truly have such enthusiasm for the Word of God? When I first entered the church, God showed me how good He is. I gave Him nothing, yet He helped me. It's not about me giving Him something, then He giving me something in return, and so on. It's not like that at all.

Later, I desperately read the Bible. Why? The reason is simple: through a little experience, I knew it was a treasure. At that time, people left work, but I didn't. I worked in the office until 8 PM, took a shower at home, then did some more work and studied, reaching 11 or 12 PM. From 12 to 2 AM, I read the Bible, then slept and woke up early in the morning.

Before I believed in the Lord, I had a very strange experience. I don't know if you have had it. At that time, I didn't believe in the Lord; I believed in myself. I thought I was quite capable. When I woke up in the morning, my whole body felt like it was filled with lead. By the time I walked from my rented place to the bus stop, I was drenched in sweat and felt like collapsing. By the time I got on the bus and arrived at the office, I had basically no energy to work. Wouldn't the boss be annoyed to see such an employee? It was too tiring.

But after I believed in the Lord, I had inexhaustible energy. Even now, I have inexhaustible energy. I don't feel tired, and I walk more lightly than young people. If I didn't think this was a treasure and foolishly took health supplements, I would definitely be out of my mind. My mind is still sharp. When I saw this was a treasure, I knew it was extraordinary and sought it desperately.

Later, my salary increased very quickly, tenfold in ten years. That tenfold increase was no ordinary blessing; it was a true blessing. I knew that I shouldn't be myself; I should be someone pleasing to God. I tell you, how can someone who has not been blessed preach the gospel? I felt that this Jesus Christ was particularly good.

God's law solves the problem of blessing and curse. Later, I carefully observed many phenomena, including how my mother took care of my grandfather. My grandfather died in 1962, and my mother owed two thousand RMB. At that time, a month's salary was twenty RMB. If you could save five RMB a month, you were doing very well. As a result, the debt was paid off the following year, and she gave birth to me, her son. If my mother didn't have me, her son, it would have been really tough.

I read three Chinese Bibles until they were worn out. The pages were almost falling out from turning them over and over, so I replaced them with new ones. I wore out one English Bible. I tell you, it's truly a blessing! Don't miss this opportunity to be blessed. Some people get sleepy when reading the Bible, but they don't get sleepy when making money; they get sleepy when listening to sermons, but they don't get sleepy when scrolling through their phones; they get sleepy when eating spiritual food, but they definitely don't get sleepy when eating hot pot; they don't get sleepy when gossiping with old women, but they will definitely get sleepy when learning the Word of God. Isn't that strange?

Why? Because they don't have a heart that loves God, a heart that loves God's law. If you have a heart that loves God's law, like loving a million, ten million, or a hundred million, you would have that heart to read the Bible long ago. People don't get sleepy when under a curse, but they get a little sleepy when being blessed. Don't you think that's something very evil?

So you must carefully examine and decide what to love in order to be blessed. How wonderful it is to be a blessed person, meditating on God's Word at all times, eliminating those self-righteous things in our hearts; eliminating the lies that cause us to be cursed, and meditating day and night, constantly dealing with those self-righteous things in our hearts. Such a request is not excessive.

The self-righteousness within people is too strong. In the early days, our church had Sunday services and Friday small group Bible studies. I felt that everyone was too tired because the physical church was an hour's taxi ride away. Later, we led the church's small group leaders in studying the New Testament on Wednesdays. When they heard there was a Bible study on Wednesdays, everyone came. You can't stop people from coming, so we had Bible study on Wednesdays, Bible study on Fridays, and Sunday services.

Later, we found that too many people needed prayer, so we added a prayer meeting on Tuesday nights, and they all came. Later, we added something on Saturdays, then something on Thursdays, then something on Mondays. Our church has meetings every day from Monday to Sunday, eliminating the time for idle chatter. But did it delay anything? It didn't delay anything. You are like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, its leaf does not wither, becoming a blessed person.

Scripture

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. (Psalm 1:1-6)

Prayer

God, give us such wisdom and understanding today, so that we may know how wonderful it is to be a blessed person. Let us all understand in our hearts how wonderful the grace you have prepared for us is. God, let us be able to love your law and love your word today. Let us be able to set aside time, meditate day and night, and be a blessed person.

God, help us remove those things within us that cause us to be cursed, so that we may live in your word. For we live by your word. God, let me love your word, let us become a blessed person, let us have a rigorous attitude, meditate day and night, and understand the mysteries spoken in your word, in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

Scripture Background

Psalm 1 doesn't record when it was written. I guess it was written after David became king. Why? Because before David became king, he was hunted for thirteen years, hiding everywhere. King Saul wanted to take his life, experiencing these things again and again.

After he became king, he reminded himself. Because being king is very busy. It seems that he was not as busy when he was fleeing as when he was king. He had to manage the entire Israel, which was very hard. Then he pondered one thing. He found that there were some things within him that were very powerful. He knew very well that if he really went down that road, he would enter into a curse. Then he wrote Psalm 1, making it his motto.

(Psalm 1:1-3)

David was very good at fighting, a victorious general who never lost a battle. What did he rely on? He relied on God. David made a good summary of the things he had experienced in the past years and wrote Psalm 1, writing a short and precise motto. When he was about to follow the advice of the wicked, he looked at his motto and immediately did not follow the advice of the wicked; when he was about to become a sinner, he looked at his motto and immediately did not stand in the way of sinners; when he became king and had the capital to be arrogant, he just wanted to mock, but he looked at his motto and did not sit in the seat of mockers.

What did he do? He delighted in the law of the Lord. Why did he write this way? He didn't have time. He was busy left and right, and there was not much time left. The time to read the Bible was squeezed. What to do? He was like me, arranging to go to court and start speaking the Word of God. I read until 2:30 last night and shared with you, delighting in the law of the Lord, meditating day and night, this person is blessed.

Why are people busy? David summarized it this way. If you carefully observe those who are blessed, they must be people who live very calmly. If you see that person is like a headless chicken, you grab a fly and tear off its head and let it fly, it flies around randomly; you chop off the chicken's head and the chicken is still alive, that chicken runs around randomly, in English it is called a headless chicken, in Chinese it is a headless fly.

As a result, David summarized and summarized, and sometimes he got confused. Once he got confused, he made this mistake and that mistake. Think about it, isn't that very hard? Let's just talk about decoration. If the waterproofing is not done well, the downstairs will be flooded. You take a shower upstairs and the people downstairs take a shower with you; you poop upstairs and yellow soup flows downstairs. You have to repair the house you have damaged, and you have to dig up and redo your bathroom. I ask you, is it troublesome? It's not just troublesome, it's very troublesome.

David should have done this kind of strange thing, "Because I haven't read God's Word for the past six months, the toilet is blocked, the drain pipe is broken, this one is sick again, and that one is uncomfortable." As a result, after sorting it out, he found something was wrong, so he reminded himself, delighting in the law of the Lord, meditating day and night, this person is blessed, and then everything goes smoothly. That is a summary of experience. David summarized this chapter very well.

If a person accidentally does something that is cursed, you say: I repent. Is repentance useful? It is useful. The death penalty is waived, but the living penalty is unavoidable, and you still have to suffer. So David deeply understood the importance of the law of the Lord God, to meditate day and night, not to accidentally stand on the balcony and watch women shower, and then the things inside begin to move, and he does something that is cursed. This is a matter of a moment's difference, but if you don't meditate day and night, that moment's difference is enough for you to suffer, and later the sword never left David's house.

We compare it to reality. Whether you are a big monk or a small monk, whether you are an ordinary person or not an ordinary person, you must be careful. What should you be careful about? Be careful not to be cursed. Brothers and sisters, none of the things you encounter are unjust. Why? A moment's difference. This is the background of this passage. David highly summarized the law of being a blessed person.

Blessed Are Those Who Shun the Curse

I encourage everyone to ponder for themselves, are you truly a wicked person, a sinner, a scoffer? What will happen after all these things? Not much, just a bit of a curse. Some might say: It's fine, it's still pretty good. But I tell you, it will be hard for you to turn things around. Because God's hand is upon you, God will ensure that those who are blessed will not miss a single blessing; and those who are cursed will not miss a single curse. Therefore, "Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers."

You need to know what is worthwhile and what is not. In people's eyes, it seems quite worthwhile. Then I ask you, my mother made a blessed decision to borrow two thousand dollars to treat my grandfather's illness. Would you say that was a loss or a gain? If there really is such a daughter-in-law now, that is truly blessed. Of course, this is one of the commandments, and there are many other commandments. You cannot use this commandment to replace that commandment, one good deed does not cover a hundred sins, it's not like that.

At that time, my mother felt that taking care of my grandfather was a matter of course, since I married this husband. Later, after believing in the Lord, I realized that my mother had made a very smart decision. Although it seemed like a loss in front of people, she received blessings from God. As a result, there was an opportunity to be sent to the countryside to be the village party secretary. That village party secretary had a lot of power, that was the local emperor, the top leader of the village, and then I was born there. It's not based on people's calculations of what is worthwhile, my mother just thought, "I should do this, I like to do this."

My mother told me that after my grandfather died, my mother carried the body to find a barber to shave the dead person's head, put clothes on him, cleaned him up, and then buried him. At that time, my mother was in her twenties and full of energy. Even with energy, carrying a dead person is still very heavy. I really admired my mother, she was very capable and brave.

Was it worthwhile? It was worthwhile! God was gracious to her, my mother really didn't suffer much in her life, and it's even better these years after following me to believe in the Lord, she is enjoying her old age. People's logic is to repay evil with evil, David's logic is not to repay evil with evil. Absalom usurped his throne, but he did not repay evil with evil. He did not walk in step with the wicked, stand in the way that sinners take, or sit in the company of mockers.

There was a person who happened to encounter the emperor traveling incognito. When he arrived at that place, a servant of a sixth-rank official was very arrogant. What was a sixth-rank official in front of the emperor? Nothing at all, but that person didn't know he was the emperor, "Our master is a sixth-rank official." The emperor laughed. What happened in the later story? Needless to say, you won't have a good outcome if you offend the emperor. So brothers and sisters, never offend God.

Let's re-examine, we are not qualified to be arrogant, not qualified to be wicked, not qualified to stand in the way that sinners take, the reason is very simple, what you say doesn't count. I say it again, what you say doesn't count! When disaster strikes, that is not up to you to decide. Who decides? God decides. Do you want to compete with God? Never compete with God. God's words are established in heaven, my words are trash. We listen to whatever God says.

Blessed Are Those Who Do Not Do Evil and Sin

Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. (Psalm 1:4-5)

Blessed are those who do not do evil and sin. The wicked do not delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. The wicked have their own set of scales, and their scales cause others to suffer losses; their scales cause themselves to be cursed. So although the wicked seem to have gained an advantage, in the end they are like chaff that the wind blows away. God only needs to blow a breath and they are gone, no matter how big a CEO you are, no matter how big your business is, God will blow it away with one breath, and it is so now.

So are sinners in the assembly of the righteous. Don't say that I am in a victorious church, you better be a victorious person. "I am in a victorious church, so I am effective." Not effective, only victorious people are effective. What is a wicked person? A wicked person is someone who does not believe in God; what is a sinner? Someone who obeys the flesh is a sinner. If we want to be a blessed person, a fortunate person, we should not do evil and sin.

Blessed Are Those Who Delight in the Law of the Lord

I ask you, do you delight in the law of the Lord? If this law is useless, would you still delight in it? It is impossible to delight in something useless. The Chinese Mingding Doctrine really proves one thing, delighting in God's law is truly blessed. What problem does it solve? It solves the problem of curses and blessings, it solves all problems. You delight in the law of the Lord God, don't do cursed things, do more blessed things.

Like the commandment with a promise that I mentioned, which is honoring your parents. When I say this, everyone is confused. Why? People don't know what it means to honor their parents, so they come and ask me, "Should I do this or that?" People have a conscience, if the conscience is corrupted, how can they still delight in the law of the Lord?

You need to know why you delight in the law of the Lord God? Because it is a treasure. I have liked listening to stories since I was a child. Old men and women told me the story of the treasure pot, whatever you wanted would come out of the pot, and I thought that was so good. After I believed in the Lord, I discovered that the law of the Lord is a treasure pot! Many people don't think the law of the Lord is a treasure pot. I say a heartfelt word, if I didn't think it was a treasure pot, would I be able to read until two in the morning? Delighting in the law of the Lord is a blessed thing.

What was I thinking at the time? I just thought this was a treasure, it was incredible. I got a treasure, but I didn't know it, wasn't I stupid? I am quite smart in this regard, and I have basically been desperately reading the Bible all my life. In the blink of an eye, so many years have passed. I found that I didn't understand it so well when I read it so desperately before, but later, as a pastor, I had to explain it to everyone, and little by little, it seemed like I understood.

He is a treasure! Do you want a treasure? Is the law of the Lord God better than a Porsche? Better than a Porsche; is the law of the Lord God better than a house and property? Better than a house and property; is the law of the Lord God better than power? Better than power. The law of the Lord God is much better than money. All the needs of a person's life are met in the word of God. You don't need to worry about anything in your life anymore. You just need to be a blessed person, which is infinitely good, better than being a rich person.

In fact, we Chinese are still living in a nouveau riche state of mind. When you go to Japan, you say: I have money. People laugh at you. Japan has changed now, people think having knowledge is good. If you say you have money, people think you are a country bumpkin. If you have knowledge and money, that's pretty good. Ignorance plus money plus arrogance, alas! China is slowly moving out of this stage. Are there any brothers and sisters among us who are quite wealthy and quite arrogant? Be careful.

Blessed Are Those Who Meditate Day and Night

Why meditate day and night? Because you don't understand what you read. What to do? Meditate day and night. In fact, meditating day and night is a matter of attitude, I want to understand it. Why do you experience so many wonderful graces when you come among us? The reason is very simple, because this is a church that meditates day and night.

Among us, if you are not yet a person who meditates day and night, you must become a person who meditates day and night. If you don't understand after listening, then we will understand it, it's that simple, it's a rigorous attitude. Think about it, God gives you a treasure, but you don't know how to use it, then it won't become a treasure. For example, healing and deliverance, the Bible explains it very clearly, but after we read it, we don't understand it so well.

Later, I kept reading the Bible, reading the word of God, and I understood, so I wrote "Do Healing and Deliverance Like Jesus," which is our "102 Course." That is something that was written after in-depth research and exploration, meditating day and night. Our "101 Course," I meditated day and night for three months; our "201 Course," I meditated day and night for three months.

These three months were very uncomfortable and hard, because I didn't understand. Reading the Bible is not something you understand as soon as you read it, there is no such thing. Recently, reading "Ephesians" and "Zechariah," I really meditated day and night, because I didn't understand. Later, God saw, "Oh, this child is so cute, so seeking, meditating day and night, Bible study at eight o'clock, let you understand at seven thirty." This is a matter of seeking attitude, so you must meditate day and night.

There is another reason, why meditate day and night? Because we face lies every day, we face temptations every day. We face these things every day, shouldn't you meditate on the word of God day and night? This thing cannot be done, that thing cannot be done, doing this thing is wicked. You don't need many lies, it is enough to be cursed if you fall into one lie, and you will be completely destroyed if you fall into many lies. So you must meditate day and night, and let the word of God not leave your mouth every day.

Joshua led the people into the promised land, and God commanded: Joshua, let the words of this book of the law not depart from your mouth, and in all your days, no enemy can stand before you. So if the words of the book of the law do not depart from your mouth, you must desperately read and continue to read. Brothers and sisters, you must read the original text, it is not an exaggeration to read the original text dozens of times, don't just listen to me study the Bible.

In Whatever They Do, They Prosper

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. (Psalm 1:3)

God's word is always in our mouths, we must often go deep to dig it out. Ten years ago, I read some things from Genesis; nine years ago, I read some more things from Genesis. Eight years ago, I read Genesis again, five years ago I read it again, and this year I will read Genesis again. Every time I read it, I have many new gains, can you say that this person can wither?

I wonder why some people wither as they believe in the Lord? Have you ever heard such words, "Oh, I am very withered in serving." "Oh, I am very withered in believing in the Lord." "Oh, I am really withered." If you often read the Bible and meditate on the word of God day and night, you cannot wither. It is not me leading you to read, it is you reading yourself.

I use my own experience and King David's experience to tell you, what a grace this is? That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Do you want such a day? If you want it, meditate on the word of God day and night, become a blessed person, and whatever you do prospers. Thank the Lord!

May God bless everyone! Amen!
