Introduction
Greetings, everyone. Today, we continue our study of Revelation, Chapter 10. Our theme is: "The mystery of God is accomplished, just as He announced to His servants the prophets." When we read the prophecies of the Old Testament, the visions of John in the New Testament, and the words of Jesus Christ, we find two unalterable truths. First, God’s people will be saved; God will prepare a crown of glory for His people—these are the victorious people. Second, God will judge the people of this world. This is made absolutely clear in the Ten Commandments.
What is the mystery of God? It concerns these two groups of people. For those who love Him, God has prepared what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human mind has conceived. What we can see and conceive does not count. What God has prepared for His people who love Him exceeds what the prophets spoke of, not just by tenfold or a hundredfold, but immeasurably. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we must realize that loving God is far better than we can imagine, and the reward is far greater. This is the mystery reserved for God’s victorious people.
Salvation often confuses people. Are salvation and victory one and the same, or are they two different things? Is there a middle ground between being saved and being victorious? Some might say, "My standards are low. Can I just go to heaven to clean up and sweep the toilets for God?" Let me tell you, there is no such thing.
The other mystery is for the people of this world. This is highly significant. It is difficult for us to imagine how severe God’s judgment will be. As we read further from this chapter of Revelation, we see how heavy that judgment is. Thus, the mystery of God has two sides: one prepared for those who love Him, and the other for those who hate Him. Often, we misunderstand God's love, thinking it is without boundaries or consequences. That is simply not the case. The judgment that the people of this world will face is terrifying beyond measure.
The Mighty Angel and the Little Scroll in His Hand
It is hard to visualize this mighty angel—one foot on the sea, the other on the land, robed in a cloud, a rainbow above his head, his face like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire. How immense must he be? It is like the descent of a deity in the Journey to the West.
This mighty angel came down from heaven holding a little scroll. What exactly is this little scroll? Why was such a massive angel required to reveal it? In truth, the scroll is not small, and it is wide open. To John, the scroll appeared tiny in the hand of this giant angel. If we were to witness this scene with our own eyes, our immediate reaction would be sheer awe.
Why did God choose to reveal this to John through a mighty angel? Because when the seventh angel sounds his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished. God’s people will be caught up in the air to meet Him, and all things will be united in Jesus Christ.
This majestic angel proclaims God’s judgment. Everything from Revelation Chapter 12 onward is what was written in the little scroll—namely, God’s judgment. Why did God use such a mighty angel to hold a tiny scroll? Because this is the angel of judgment, possessing immense power. John wrote this with deep reverence and awe.
Judgment will come when the seventh trumpet sounds. As to when it will sound, we do not know. But looking at the state of the world today, the seventh trumpet is very near. If you still place your hope in this earthly life, that is tragic, because God is about to execute a severe judgment upon this world.
Which side do you stand on? Do you stand with those who love God, or those who hate Him? To be fleshly is to be hostile to God. Examine how much carnality remains within you, and you will know whether you belong to God’s people or the people of this world. When I tell you not to love the world, I am not trying to stop you from enjoying good things; I am warning you so that you do not fall into this judgment. This judgment is deadly serious.
Who among the people of this world can withstand the wrath of God? The appearance of this mighty angel is a manifestation of God's wrath. John saw the open scroll. I deduce that what was written inside refers to the seven bowls, because after the seventh trumpet sounds, the wrath of God begins to pour out. This has already been revealed in the little scroll.
Seven Thunders Spoke After the Mighty Angel Shouted
A voice said to John, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down." Let us not argue whether there were seven or eight; the point is there were many. Why was he forbidden to write it down? Scripture gives us a very clear revelation—whether in the Old Testament, the Psalms, Isaiah, or Job—that thunder and lightning illuminate the world, and thunder is terrifying.
I have watched videos of lightning striking across mountains, flashing repeatedly around the peaks. It looks like the legendary "tribulation of ascension," meant to illuminate a dark world. Thunder is terrifying; with a sudden crash, lightning splits trees like fire. This is the logic of illuminating the world.
Psalm 81 says, "I answered you in the secret place of thunder." This means God will answer His people. Therefore, thunder represents two things: first, God's wrath displayed to the people of the world; second, thunder carrying the promise to establish God's people. How wonderful! Yet, this was not to be written down.
Why was it not to be written down? For instance, the Bible never explicitly details what happens to those who are merely "saved," but it clearly describes what happens to those who are "victorious." The details of basic salvation are omitted to prevent people from becoming lazy, assuming they are already saved and thus failing to press on. We must be under no illusions here.
The Bible clearly reveals the fate of the unsaved—the people of this world—and the reward of the victorious. But it remains silent on the middle ground between salvation and victory. John was forbidden to write what the seven thunders uttered, making it a mystery for our present age, to be fulfilled according to the good news announced to the prophets. A core logic of the Chinese Mingding Doctrine is victory. Only when you are victorious can you claim God's promises. Mere salvation is a highly uncertain matter.
I also deduce that while what the seven thunders spoke could not be written down in John's day, it does not mean it cannot be revealed now. Before Jesus Christ came, the revelations of the prophets were obscure. When Jesus came, He revealed a part of it. The Apostle Paul and John revealed further parts. Will God not reveal it once again in this present generation?
In truth, God's revelation and His Word are entirely consistent; it is the theology of victory! Therefore, we must eagerly pursue more of God's revelation. Victory is of paramount importance in this generation, especially in these end times. If you do not practice walking in victory now—sometimes obeying the Spirit, sometimes obeying the flesh—what will you do when the lightning strikes down the middle and splits you in two?
So, to whom do you belong? The mighty angel stood with one foot on the land and one foot on the sea. He can stand on both, but if insignificant creatures like us try to keep one foot in each camp—wanting the benefits of the world while wanting the blessings of God—is that not a recipe for disaster?
Therefore, I constantly encourage you, and I encourage myself, to strive for victory. Otherwise, when God's mighty angel is revealed and the seven thunders speak, there will be no more opportunity. How beautifully the Scriptures are written. The Old Testament did not explicitly state that the mind governed by the flesh is death; it was only in the time of Jesus that it was written: "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing."
God wants to reveal Himself to us once again in this generation. Perhaps the revelation we received from Genesis is indeed the voice of the seven thunders. The interpretation of Genesis Chapters 1 to 4 and Chapter 12 under the Chinese Mingding Doctrine is entirely different from traditional views. I believe the Chinese Mingding Doctrine's interpretation of Genesis is far more reliable and aligns perfectly with God's system.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, we must have a heart of reverence. Does the voice of the seven thunders refer to this? To set the mind on the flesh is death. If a person loves the world and does not love God wholeheartedly, it will cost them their life. The voice of the seven thunders was sealed, left for our generation to receive as God's revelation.
God is a God of salvation, but He is also a God of judgment. He keeps His covenant of love with those who have a calling (Mingding), but for those who are half-hearted, who love the world, indulge the flesh, judge by appearances of good and evil, and pay only lip service to the Lord—their position is highly precarious.
When the Seventh Angel Sounds His Trumpet, the Mystery of God is Accomplished
Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven. And he swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it, and said, "There will be no more delay!" (Revelation 10:5-6)
Does this even need further explanation? The angel swore that there will be no more delay. God has given humanity opportunity after opportunity, yet people remain stubborn, thinking, "Surely God's wrath has not arrived yet? Surely there is still time?" But time has run out! Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, do not let Jesus find you judging others, harboring resentment, indulging the flesh, and loving the world when He descends from heaven. That would be an absolute disaster.
Can we not practice fearing God as if the mighty angel's time is tomorrow? Otherwise, it will be fatal. To believe in the Lord for a lifetime, only to end up on the wrong path, treating the words of Jesus Christ as mere wind in your ears—this is a sobering warning to me.
"But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets." (Revelation 10:7)
How magnificent this scripture is! How powerful are the words of Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul! Yet, our zeal in pressing forward still falls short. We truly need a clap of thunder right over our heads to shake us awake. Have you woken up yet?
If you were to see with your own eyes the power of the seven thunders, with what reverence would you live? If Christians have hope only for this life, are we not more to be pitied than anyone else? When the thunder cracks, will you wet your pants because you do not even know whether you stand on God's side or under His wrath? This is a matter of life and death!
What the angel revealed will surely come to pass. Two thousand years ago, John said there would be no more delay. Today, time is indeed running out. The exact moment the seventh angel blows his trumpet is not for us to know. It could be tomorrow, or any day after. There is a Chinese saying: "Tomorrow after tomorrow, how many tomorrows are there?" God is waiting for us to prepare ourselves.
In the New Testament, Jesus spoke in parables about being faithful servants. If you assume the master is delayed and fall asleep, you will be ruined. Consider the ten virgins: some prepared oil in their lamps, while others filled their lamps with judgment and carnality. Is that even a lamp anymore? When you go to meet the Lord Jesus, will He not kick you out?
The prophecies of the angels are fast approaching fulfillment. Let us harbor this heavenly hope in our hearts. There is no longer any room for tears, grievances, or complaints. Instead, we must maintain a sharp sense of urgency. Who knows when that final day will come?
The Angel Commanded John to Eat the Little Scroll
Can a little scroll actually be eaten? Do you think it is a pizza, a roti prata, or a Shandong pancake? Let us be realistic. The little scroll represents the wrath of God, and the wrath of God is His word. The angel told John: "Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey." Can you comprehend this? I studied this passage for days before I understood its logic.
The Book of Life is not the little scroll. The Book of Life is the great scroll, whereas the little scroll represents judgment. Why the distinction? The Book of Life is prepared for those who love God; the little scroll is destined for the people of this world. After John ate the little scroll, it was indeed sweet as honey in his mouth, but it turned his stomach bitter.
This is highly instructive. In my years of ministry, I have observed that the mouth is a spiritual organ, while the stomach is a carnal one. When you digest the Word of God—the judgment contained in the little scroll—your stomach suffers. Paul said: "Their god is their stomach." Thus, eating God's word brings bitterness to the stomach because His word is fundamentally incompatible with carnal desires; it judges them.
The mouth, however, is a spiritual organ. If you consume God's word, it tastes as sweet as honey. Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. And the mouth is the instrument of speech.
The stomach is merely for digesting food. Once, during an exorcism, a demon told me it lived in the sewer. The logic is simple: our digestive system is essentially a sewer. Another time, a demon claimed to manage the toilet. In Chinese, the word for a manhole cover in the north is "Ma Hu Lu Gai" (horse-pot cover), and the toilet bowl is called "Ma Tong" (horse bucket), not "Niu Tong" (cow bucket). There is a clear, practical logic to this.
Therefore, after consuming God's judgment, the carnal self suffers. If your life is filled with anxiety, eating God's word will only taste more bitter; digesting His judgment will bring you greater pain. A man who frequently listens to my sermons online left a comment expressing his disagreement, yet he keeps coming back. These words of judgment make him highly uncomfortable. He disagrees because he expects our God to be like Santa Claus or some benevolent deity. He is dead wrong.
Why does God's judgment bring such bitterness when it enters a person? Because the carnal man is incapable of receiving the things of God. Instead of reflecting, they label me. They cannot tolerate my blunt language, such as "working so hard you wet your pants." But I prefer strong, precise words to drive the point home.
A carnal person will find reading God's word an agonizing chore, but reading words that coddle their flesh will make them comfortable. Cancer patients often come to us seeking healing, yet they reject my teachings on the "cancerous personality." They insist they are in the right.
Let me tell you the hard truth: curing cancer is simple. But you must first eradicate your destructive habits and return to God. Cancer patients are generally those who indulge their flesh, love the world, and are obsessed with judging good and evil. They are the authors of their own ruin. If they could only broaden their minds, healing would be straightforward. Thus, eating this scroll produces a strange result: our flesh suffers, but our spirit rejoices.
You Must Prophesy Again Concerning Many Peoples, Nations, Languages, and Kings
You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages, and kings. This is highly significant. Why must there be more prophecy? What is it about? It refers to the prophecies from Revelation Chapter 12 onwards—the seven bowls of God's wrath! God will pour out His anger upon nations and rulers alike. Whether you are a king or a commoner, if you belong to this world, you will have to endure it. You have no choice, and neither do I.
Look at the global news today. It is an absolute mess. Presidents and vice presidents tearing into each other; nations locked in futile conflict; election campaigns dragged through the mud. This world is heading for ruin. The seven bowls of wrath will soon be poured out. Yet, people play these political games with absolute seriousness. What is most absurd is that these politicians are in their seventies and eighties. How many years do they have left to live? Why fight so bitterly?
One arrogant fellow claimed, "Man can conquer nature!" What has he conquered? Nothing. He was brainwashed by that education. Later, he got cancer. Did he conquer that? I wish him luck.
Even before these seven bowls are poured out, look at the kings of history. They are all lying in their coffins. Napoleon was a great man; his tomb is still there, but Napoleon is gone, while France remains. Qin Shi Huang was powerful; his mausoleum remains, but he is gone. The Forbidden City stands, but its builders are long dead and gone. It has nothing to do with them now.
When will people see through this? How tragic it is to live without the hope of eternal life! Without it, a person's mind is as small as a peanut, and their brain as tiny as a walnut. Some complain that my words are harsh. You think a peanut is small? Some people have minds no bigger than a sesame seed.
John ate the little scroll and began to prophesy. The seven bowls are his little scroll. The Book of Life is one thing; the little scroll is another. God prepared both: the little scroll is for judgment, the Book of Life is for promise and blessing.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, set your hope on things above once more. Even when the seven bowls are poured out, it will not affect me. My hope is in heaven. I will surely be caught up to meet the Lord in the air! The mystery of God is about to be accomplished.
I recently met a pastor who had established a church in Singapore. He retired, and others replaced him. He invited me for tea and asked, after seeing our Bible study and sermon materials, "If others use your materials to run fellowships and make money, aren't you going to charge them?" I thought to myself: my mind is not that narrow. The last thing I require is money.
Many people hoard whatever little they produce, hoping to line their own pockets. We allow our materials to be used freely. Many small churches use them, and I do not even ask them for tithes or offerings.
Most people in this world care deeply about money. Let me give you an example, and please do not judge me. In the pastoral profession, there is a "circle" you must navigate. If a pastor invites me to preach at his church, he will hand me an "Angbao" (love offering) after the service. The amount depends on your fame. Famous preachers get five thousand dollars; the smallest is five hundred.
Taking money directly from your own church treasury is illegal. But if you preach elsewhere, they pay you a thousand dollars. It is a transaction: he invites me, then I must invite him to preach at my church. I pocket the thousand dollars from him as "freelance work," and when he preaches for me, I pay him a thousand dollars from my church. What kind of game is that? That is why I refuse all such invitations.
In the past, I was also a licensed solemnizer of marriages. It was highly lucrative. I had many ways to make money. When I held that license, many called me, but I ignored them all. Each solemnization paid three to five hundred dollars—a fixed rate. I could earn five hundred dollars for a fifteen-minute ring exchange ceremony. But I refused. What do I need that money for?
I poured my entire heart and soul into the church, focusing on pastoring. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. You are my treasure; therefore, my heart is with you. This is the honest truth. It pains me to see brothers and sisters suffering under sickness and demonic oppression. I long daily for people to be set free. My hands are full with ministry. Why would I waste time solemnizing marriages?
I never treat any sermon lightly. I never serve "reheated leftovers." I prepare with all my heart, soul, and strength. I do not invite other pastors to talk nonsense, nor do I go to their churches to meddle. I simply do the work God has assigned to me. My sole hope is that when I stand before God, I will receive His glorious commendation: "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have given them their food at the proper time."
A friend of mine recently returned from another church. He told me, "That church used to have many members, but now only twenty-odd remain. They cannot even afford the rent, let alone support the pastor." I showed him our "Xiaomu AI" (Little Shepherd AI). He was stunned and asked, "Has no one approached you to buy this?" I replied, "Even if they do, I will not sell." If they want to partner with me to make money, forget it. My mission remains to fish for men, not for money.
I am deeply grateful that we have never been in want. We focus on the revelation God is giving us in this generation—a truly magnificent revelation! Many churches avoid preaching on judgment and victory, but our focus is entirely on overcoming.
Brothers and sisters, hold fast to God's love. Hold fast to the good news revealed through His prophets. Let the lies of the devil retreat. When we become a victorious people, we will stand before God with absolute confidence.
Perhaps you have cancer. But if you truly resolve to please God, acknowledging that you once coddled your flesh and loved the world, and choose now to live for Him, healing is a simple matter. Stop being stubborn. Stop destroying yourself. Look only to God.
Conclusion
In the near future, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as He announced to His servants the prophets. We are the prophets of this generation. We must declare God's word with absolute clarity. Our language may be plain and unrefined, but our message is profound.
We do not seek financial gain; we seek only to win souls. God has never failed us; we have never been in want. May God raise us up to be faithful and wise servants, pleasing to Him in His love. Amen! We shall conclude our Bible study here. May God bless you all.
