【Bible Study】Job 38-42 - God's Sovereignty

2015-11-06 30,778 Job Humility Pride Revelation Servant of God Friend of God Bitterness

We are often filled with confusion, unable to understand many things and people. But do you know? All the answers are with our God, who is in control of everything and can give you everything you desire. Brothers and sisters, let us truly know our God! He will bless you and give you the answers to all your questions.

Thinking Points

How can we truly know our God?

What kind of relationship do you have with God?

Are you a spiritual person or a carnal person?

God's Sovereignty

God is sovereign, and in this world, whether or not you and I exist, God still reigns. Before and after the creation of the world, God still upholds all things by His power to this day. If you do not know God's sovereignty, you are far from knowing God. We need faith, but what kind of faith? The faith to believe that God is in control. In the hymns we sing, we often talk about God's reign in our lives, and that the things God does cannot be hindered by anyone. This is clearly written in the 《Bible》. Job answered the Lord: I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. (《Job》42:2). Neither humans nor demons can do all things; only God can do all things.

God's Will Cannot Be Thwarted

If God wants to do something, He will surely accomplish it. It has been over four thousand years from the time of Job to the present. Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ became flesh and was born into the world, dying on the cross for our sins so that we might have eternal life. All this is God's will, and no one, no demon, can thwart God's will. Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge? These words are actually a rhetorical question; no one can obscure God's will. Next, Job begins to talk about himself. This is very interesting. We often say things we don't understand. For example, someone might say, Pastor, I need to leave you for a while because I feel I can only mature if I leave you. I asked him, What does it mean to mature? He stared at me for a long time, not knowing how to answer. What is maturity? I often teach people how to write resumes, and during training, I always talk about maturity. Maturity means having a clear direction and a strong ability to manage oneself.

What we pursue in our lives is to understand God's will. When a person admits that they do not know, they are a clever person, because they know that God will surely reveal it to them.

Then Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without words without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.’ (《Job》42:1-4)

If you understand the above passage, you should become a very wise person. The problem is that we say things we do not understand, which is very chaotic. Do you really understand what you are saying? Our best principle is to say what God says. For a time, I often asked myself what method to use to resist the deceitful lies of the devil Satan. You know, Satan deceived Adam and Eve and continues to deceive us today. The devil Satan will not let go of any of us, but you and I can choose whether to be deceived or not. What are you going to use to resist the devil Satan? After thinking about it, I prayed and asked God what to use to resist Satan. I remembered Jesus saying:

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (《Matthew》16:19)

Is this referring to Satan? Can people bind Satan? It's a bit difficult. But Jesus also told Peter: And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. (《Matthew》16:18). He did not say that the power of Satan could overcome the church. Later, I discovered that I needed to return to the 《Bible》 to understand it. I encourage everyone to read the 《Bible》 carefully. You don't need to invent another method; using Jesus' method is enough. Jesus used scripture to respond to Satan, so we must have a deep understanding of the 《Bible》. Next, I encourage everyone to systematically read through the 《Bible》 that we have studied before. You will be surprised to find even more gains.

We must begin to know that the reason we are deceived by Satan is because we think we understand what we do not understand, thinking that these wonderful things are known to us when, in fact, they are not. This is the problem. Job was in this situation before. He thought he knew, but he did not know. Now he finally admits that he does not know. What do we need most today? We need to ask God to listen to us and then ask God to instruct us, and God will surely reveal it to us. Finally, we will experience that we had only heard of God before, but now we see God with our own eyes. When you see the holy God with your own eyes, you will therefore loathe yourself and repent in dust and ashes (《Job》42:5-6). Why did God not punish Job? Because Job repented, God would not punish him. It's like a father picking up a cane to punish you, and you say, Dad, I won't do it again, I won't do it again. Obedient children are less likely to be beaten, while those who stubbornly refuse to apologize or admit their mistakes will often be beaten. Job repented in ashes. Do you know what he repented for? He repented for his ignorance of God. Let's read the following passage again.

Then Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans with words without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.’ My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.”(《Job》42:1-6)

Job's knowledge of God began here. This is the key point I want to make: the path to knowing God. Why did Job come to this conclusion? What were the key questions God asked Job? Can you do it? You can't. Can you? You can't. Were you there when I created the universe? You weren't. Do you have this ability? Do you have this? Do you have that? You don't have any of them. Do you know? Actually, you don't know. God said things that Job did not know. Why did God ask these questions? God wanted to tell Job that there are many things you don't know, many things you don't understand. By the time you understand them, you will have died already. Even if you die, you won't understand. Just forget about it! That's roughly the meaning.

God let Job return to a very primitive starting point. What is that primitive starting point? It is humility. I don't know, and I can't do it. God, I need you; I really need you. No one in the world can live well by relying on a logical system or knowledge alone. We only have one way out, and that is to learn to trust in God. There are many things we don't know, don't understand, and can't do. What should we choose? We should begin to choose to return to this starting point, which is humility. Humility is not about people but about God, thinking that you are something when you are not, which is troublesome. Job thought he was something back then.

Today, we see that when Job repents in dust and ashes, he begins to know God. Returning to humility is the beginning of knowing God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Because He can do everything, and you can do nothing. Why wouldn't you fear Him? God asked Job these questions, which in fact dealt with human pride. Do you and I have pride? Do we think we are quite capable? If we think we are quite capable, and what happened to Job happens to you, then it's troublesome. Job can still repent in ashes, but perhaps when these things happen to us, we won't even have the chance to repent. Do not think that these things will not happen to us. Can you do it? You can't. Can I do it? I can't. There is only one way, which is to trust in God. When we trust in God, do we regard Him as our treasure? This is absolutely key. Trusting in God is the answer to solving problems. Thank God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (《1 Corinthians》15:58)

There are many such scriptures. Paul often mentions in the 《Bible》 that we should strive to do the Lord's work and serve God with all our might. This is also the great commandment: to love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your might, and all your mind, and to serve Him alone. If you want to resist the devil, there is no other way but to serve God alone. Not serving your work, not serving anything else. If this makes you feel offended, then this entire 《Bible》 will offend you.

God mentioned crocodiles and dinosaurs in the 《Book of Job》 because the image of dinosaurs is clearly described there. It stands in the Jordan River, and even if the water of the Jordan River rises to its neck, it is nothing remarkable. What is described here is a very clear dinosaur. Not only these things, but God only gave one or two examples, including the process of these animals giving birth, which is too miraculous. The other day, I watched a program about the animal world. There was a antelope that gave birth to a calf, which could barely stand on the ground. In less than half an hour, it could run. Wow! It's so amazing that when it comes out of the womb, it starts running. Then there are wolves and wild dogs around trying to eat it, but you will find that those that can grow up have survived. Can you imagine giving birth and being able to run? We humans can't understand it. This is God's wonderful design. Our redemption is God's wonderful design, and your and my life is God's wonderful design. But God gives us a choice: are we willing to enter into His wonderful design, or are we going to follow our own will and do what our hearts desire and become children of wrath?

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh, following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. (《Ephesians》2:2-3)

Once a person deviates from God's will, they immediately become someone who provokes God's wrath. Are you going to be someone who pleases God, or someone who provokes God's wrath? If you say that you don't want to be someone who pleases God and you don't want to be someone who provokes God's wrath, I guess there is no such path.

But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back. (《Hebrews》10:38)

If you shrink back, you become a child of wrath, which is really something to be careful about. These days, I have learned a lesson. Next, I may take stronger action. If I see someone suddenly become very indifferent, especially our leaders, serving as if without strength, with lifeless eyes, a dark face, and no joy, I will definitely come to talk to you. I think it's better to solve it sooner than later.

God's grace of redemption is a wonderful design, and our lives are wonderful designs. The things Job experienced were also God's wonderful designs, so that we might be blessed. Including Satan, Satan is also God's wonderful design. Satan is God's servant. What does he do? He helps God work. Those who are sifted out belong to Satan, and those who are not sifted out belong to God. Whether you are sifted out or not is entirely up to your choice. If you and I have the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, it is very dangerous. Why do we lose some brothers and sisters? Some brothers and sisters ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, and they think in their hearts, The pastor is wrong about this, the pastor is wrong about that. I don't agree with this, and I don't agree with that. Don't think that leaving us is the way to solve the problem. Solving the problem within us is the most important thing. God asked Job these questions, which were originally intended for Job to reach a conclusion: everything is my wonderful design; you must have faith in me.

The church is also God's wonderful design. The church is a mystery. What is this mystery? Here is what it says in 《Ephesians》. Some people don't take it seriously, but I still want to tell you.

to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. (《Ephesians》5:26-27).

Although Paul wrote it in 《Ephesians》, this matter has not been accomplished from ancient times to the present. When will it be accomplished? It will only be accomplished at the moment of being presented to Jesus. Jesus will build a glorious church that can be presented to himself as His bride. This is a mystery. God designed a key in His wonderful design, but whether you enter into the design or remain outside of the design is entirely up to your choice.

In fact, as for the things that the devil Satan does, it's not that we don't understand his schemes. In the process of our church's battles, I began to understand that as our church continues to fight and move forward step by step, the demons we encounter become larger and larger. Now we must begin to deal with the powerful demon of discerning good and evil, which is the thing that tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and is very powerful. If you fall into the pit of discerning good and evil, I tell you, you will basically be taken captive. Whether you are taken captive or not, the key is whether we will bite Satan's bait. Don't think that if a fish bites the hook, it can come off the hook, because there is bait in it that it cannot spit out. In other words, you and I must have the determination not to take the path of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you want to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, there is no way for me to stop you. This is our own choice.

We Must Align Our Relationship with God

If we do not align our relationship with God, it will be troublesome. God can do all things, but I cannot. I can do some things, but not too many. God knows everything, but I don't know everything. It seems like we say a lot of things, but many of those things are things we do not understand, and we still think we understand them. What is the problem? This is because the relationship between us and God is having problems. People often want to become good friends with God. In the hymns we often sing, the Lord Jesus is my good friend, but you know that this good friend relationship is built on a prior relationship, which is the relationship between master and servant. Without the relationship between master and servant, there is no friendship, because Jesus said:

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. (《John》15:15)

Before, you were servants, now we are in a relationship of friends. God will consult with you because you have first gotten the relationship between master and servant right. If Job became God's master, it would be troublesome. Then the relationship could not become a friend and would become Satan, which would be very dangerous. So today, we must straighten our relationship with God. I am a servant. I am in God's design. My life is to live for the Lord. I live to glorify my God. I do not live for myself. This sounds strange, but God uses what seems foolish to men to save those who believe.

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. (《1 Corinthians》1:21)

If you look at such a doctrine with human eyes, you cannot accept it. You must read the 《Bible》 carefully. Our relationship with God as master and servant must be established, but do not think that Satan will not destroy this relationship. He will destroy it. He releases lies and deceptions to destroy our relationship with God, causing people to forget that God is the master and we are the servants. After having this relationship, we are God's workmanship, and God shapes us according to His will, so that our lives can be used to manifest His glory and so that He can greatly use us. We really need to restore this concept.

We used to do what our hearts desired and became children of wrath. We can go back to the 《Bible》. The 《Bible》 says:

All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. (《Psalm》53:3)

All have become corrupt, completely useless, and have become garbage. You say no, I still think it's quite useful. I can do many things, but what is the use of these things if they deviate from God's will? We need to make it clear that our relationship to God is between a master and a servant. To be a good servant, we must understand God's heart. If Job had understood God's heart before this happened, that God had a plan in his life to let him be doubly blessed, it would have been good. When you see some bad things in the church, you can say, God! Although I see these bad things, You want me to take on this responsibility, not to criticize and judge.

Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work. (《2 Timothy》2:21)

The 《Bible》 says: We are God's workmanship, a work of art. All who are willing to be shaped by God will become God's instruments. If you are not willing to be shaped by God, you will become a base instrument. A large household has many instruments: noble gold cups, gold bowls, things used for sacrifice, and some garbage cans that have become garbage. What do you want to do? Do you want to be a noble and glorious instrument, or a discarded garbage can? Today, we really need to understand this matter. This is a very foundation thing. If we have a master-servant relationship with God, we will become friends and have a father-son relationship, and then God will listen to our prayers and instruct and reveal Himself to us. Because without God's revelation, people cannot know God. If people think they can know God through their own exploration, then I tell you it is impossible to know God. It is God Himself who reveals Himself to us. When we have a thirst to pursue Him, God will reveal Himself to us.

If God reveals Himself to us, and He knows everything, as long as He tells you and you listen, won't you get it? But what is the problem? The people in this world have a characteristic, which is that they always think they can solve problems with their own wisdom.

For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. (《1 Corinthians》1:25)

What does God use? God uses what seems foolish to men to save men, so this is very wonderful. All who are willing to believe will receive, but those who think they are great and think that God is not good will not receive. So today, what we need is to restore this relationship.

God is a Wonderful God

These things are too marvelous. God is inherently a wonderful God, so wonderful that He completely defies human logic. But if you reject Him because He doesn't fit your logic, you will suffer a great loss. I have been ministering to Sister QX, and for some time, I have been thinking: God! When will I be able to minister to these cancer patients and heal them with a touch? I have longed for this for a long time, and today I have begun to receive some light. An idea entered my mind, and the process of it entering my mind was very miraculous. It happened that I met a friend on the road, and I mentioned to him that I had been pondering a question. He asked me what I was pondering. I said, Why is cancer so difficult to heal? Why is prayer so arduous? He said that cancer is caused by bitterness, and bitterness produces cancer. At that moment, as soon as the word bitterness entered me, I suddenly had some understanding. Next, I led Sister QX to confess the sins of bitterness and unforgiveness. When she mentioned these things, she still had tears in her eyes. Did her bitterness leave? No. Why is there bitterness inside? Because she feels that she is always right, and others have wronged her.

Her parents worked hard in the countryside to raise her. Then, one time, when she had her first period, she fainted on the roadside in pain, and her father did not care for her. She hated him for it, and in the days that followed, she often thought about these things. In fact, according to QX's daughter, ZX, her maternal grandparents were actually very good. QX, ZX's mother, had some bitterness inside. I led her to confess the sin of bitterness, as well as other sins, such as sexual immorality and other things. QX was very obedient, and the big stone pressing on her chest quickly loosened. In the evening, I led her in prayer again. I asked her how she was feeling. When she started praying, she felt weak all over, but gradually, her strength returned to normal, and it was not as difficult as before.

We should know the mystery behind cancer. Without God's revelation, we would never know. Unless God reveals it to us, we begin to know God. Not only do we know God, but we can also know the reasons behind spiritual oppression. I thank God! The whole process of ministry was filled with wonders. Last week, after the meeting, a sister mentioned that those with joint pain get healed very quickly when I pray for them. Then I said, But why is cancer so slow? That sister said, My knees hurt; it hurts when I go up and down the stairs. I prayed for her knee pain, and it was almost healed in ten minutes. These things are too wonderful; if you ask me to explain them with logic, I really can't explain them.

Sister LY is also here today. She had a cold and diarrhea a few days ago, but when she woke up this morning, she dreamed of her husband's father, who had actually passed away in a car accident. Also, in the dream, she clearly felt that her husband was dead. The whole dream involved a tomb and was quite terrifying. A month or two ago, I went into their group, and I shared with Brother TX, TX, the spiritual oppression of your family is still on you; it still needs to be broken. But thank God! After Sister LY had the dream, she woke up in the morning feeling dizzy and weak, and she came to church to pray. I initially prayed for her head and body, and she felt relaxed all over. The dizziness disappeared, and I also led her in prayer to break the dark powers brought by the TX family.

These spiritual things completely transcend our worldly concepts. If you do not know the knowledge of the spiritual realm, you are truly living in confusion. Do you think you can control the outcome of a person's life? None of those who get cancer want to get cancer, but when they get cancer, what can they do? This is a kind of operation in the spiritual realm. People's ignorance of the spiritual realm brings very serious consequences to their lives. The wonders in the spiritual realm far exceed our human imagination and completely defy the principles of the material world. In fact, there are many things that people do not know even when we live in this material world.

There are many programs in Taiwan that often talk about ghosts and gods. One program talked about a girl who was hit by a train. At that time, the barriers went down as soon as the train passed. Through the monitoring video, they saw a girl walking over. In fact, the barrier had already been lowered, and she could have crawled under it, but she turned back and was hit by the train. When we watched TV, no one understood why the girl suddenly turned back. She didn't know the train was coming, and she could have just bent down and crawled under it. These Taiwanese news stories often turn these into paranormal manipulation events, where these people are pushed into these situations by hidden forces. These things are too wonderful. Because God is Spirit, if your spiritual eyes are not open, you will be confused if you look at problems with worldly eyes. It is up to you to choose whether you want to be a confused person or a wise person. The spiritual world is so wonderful that it completely exceeds our human imagination. God can not only completely solve people's problems, but also enable people to live out God's glory.

If people use a material system to look at spiritual things, they will not be able to understand God. Job, after these sufferings, changed from a carnal person to a spiritual person. He began to know these spiritual wonders, although in the end he did not know that this was God and Satan making a bet. Today we must say that there are many things that are beyond our imagination. How do they happen in the spiritual realm? We may not understand, but it is very wonderful. How can a person change in the blink of an eye? We are surprised! It is these things that happen in the spiritual realm that determine what happens in this world. But some people do not understand these things, which is a great pity, because when things come upon us, we keep sowing and keep reaping.

Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. (Ephesians 5:15-17)

How should we use this time to know God and know the wonders of the spiritual world? We need God too much today. Because there are all kinds of strange things in this world.

God’s Revelation is Key

If you have a thirst for the spiritual world and want to understand it more deeply, you will definitely pursue it, and God will reveal it to you.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13)

The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. We grasp these truths. We apply them to our lives, and He will definitely solve our problems. Because our God is a God full of mercy, full of grace, and full of love. He can understand our weaknesses in the flesh, and He personally takes on our weaknesses to save us. So the key is revelation, to start building an altar and offering sacrifices, and to pray diligently to obtain revelation. When I prayed for QX, she recovered much faster than before. I myself was also very surprised! It turns out that the things I longed for, God had already prepared. We must have a desire for spiritual gifts within us. Spiritual revelation comes from serving. If people have no revelation, it is because they have not served. No service, no revelation. Because you serve, you need it, and God will definitely supply it to you. If we just take it to play with and do tricks, God probably does not delight in such things.

In the end of the Book of Job, the Lord restored Job’s fortunes. God often does this, causing us to experience a spiritual shock. In fact, my heart was very shaken throughout the past week; it was like an 8.5 magnitude earthquake. There may be more shocks to come. I think every shock will cause God to restore me from my misery.

The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand donkeys. And he also had seven sons and three daughters... After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. Then Job died, an old man and full of years. (Job 42:12-13, 16-17)

The Bible often has a concept of double blessing. If you want to receive double blessing, whether facing trials or temptations, we have no choice but to completely trust God, and you will be able to overcome. Because God originally predestined you to overcome. If we are unwilling to overcome and insist on taking the path of failure, and we are snatched away by the devil Satan, you have no reason to say, God, why did you do this? It is our own choice. In the past, I played 12 episodes of John Bevere's Bait of Satan. Why do people fall for Satan's bait? Because they walk the path of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Who will be snatched away by Satan? Those who make choices in their minds and thoughts. A brother asked me: Pastor, can you talk more about changing our minds and thoughts? I think it is time to change our minds and thoughts.

We really need to systematically read the Bible and systematically understand the Word of God. We must begin to have a thirst for the Word of God. Do not have no appetite for the Word of God, be spiritually dry and withered, and not prosperous. If you continue to walk like this, you will lose God. To enter the Kingdom of God, we must work hard to deal with our carnal, inherent logical system and strive to resist carnal things by relying on God. When these things harm people, they harm people very logically and very reasonably. Do not think that we can accomplish anything by ourselves. We cannot accomplish anything by ourselves. Some people say, I have not left God. But if you deviate from God's will, will you not leave God? People must not deviate from God's will; they must know what God's will is.

Conclusion: No Matter What the Situation, Learn to Trust God More Deeply

You trust God, and then God makes you victorious, causes you to return from your misery, and God will surely bless you doubly. Not only bless you after you die, but bless you when you are on earth. How did God bless Job? God used wealth to bless Job. Do not think that using wealth to bless Job is as if God is not spiritual at all; this is the essence of spirituality. Our blessings and our promises all refer to what we receive on this earth, serving this generation. We are to be a blessing to all nations and peoples on earth, not just receiving blessings in heaven, but also receiving blessings when we are on this earth. If we are not blessed, how can we bless others? So we must begin to examine ourselves. If you are chosen by God, God will discipline you.

Some time ago, the child of Sister JX and Brother ZH would not drink milk. He would cry as soon as he drank milk. Our prayers for him were not effective. Later, they repented, and it was healed that very afternoon. It was very miraculous. What exactly happened? I think when we value some things more than God, or we do something that does not please God, we will be disciplined by God. The Lord disciplines the one he loves. But if we do things that do not please God, and God does not discipline us, what kind of people are we? We really need to ponder often.

Let's go back to the Bible. I will give you a concept. King Balak of Moab asked Balaam to curse Israel. Balaam confidently said: If the Lord lets me bless, I will bless; if He lets me curse, I will curse. If the Lord has not said so, I will definitely not do it. Does this sound good? However, when King Balak used gold bars to attract Balaam, Balaam was moved and asked God, God! May I go? God said: You may not go. Is it over if he may not go? Why did he ask God again and again, May I go? God said: You may not go. God, may I go? God said, You may go, and he went. Later, he died in Midian, and when the Israelites counted the corpses, there was Balaam among those killed.

The Bible records in the previous passage that King Balak asked Balaam to curse Israel. He did not curse Israel and returned home by the same route. But why was he in their camp when he was killed? What you value in your heart is what you will die for. If you value gold bars, you will give your life for gold bars; if you value your work, you will give your life for your work; if you value God, you will give your life for God. If you give your life for God, you will gain life. I give everyone an encouragement, a summary: through these things, we can see that Job overcame temptations and trials, and God blessed him doubly. When our hearts are attracted by these riches, our lives will be taken away by riches. We really need to ponder this carefully.

Scripture

Job 38:1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Job 38:2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
Job 38:3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare if thou hast understanding.
Job 38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Job 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38:8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
Job 38:9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,
