Do as God Commands
Many people say they love God. However, loving God means you do as God commands you. In the book of 1 Samuel chapter 15, King Saul made a serious mistake.
This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’ (1 Samuel 15:2-3)
In the end, King Saul spared Agag and everything good, including the best of sheep and cattle, the fat calves, and lambs. It was not a problem to keep that livestock. The problem was God already commanded him to totally destroy the Amalekites. He deliberately went against God.
One thing we must bear in mind is that people will always find excuses to disobey God. Just like King Saul used the excuse "to sacrifice fat calves and lambs to God" which sounded like he was faithful to God. He was not as he drew the wrath of God to himself.
Did he listen to God's command? He probably did 99% of what God commanded. But that was not what God commanded, He commanded Saul to " totally destroy". Although he thought he completed the task that God commanded him. Another case happened in the book of Joshua, Achan took some of the devoted things causing God's anger to burn against the Israelites. They lost the battle.
A few principles we must adhere to when it comes to understanding the word of God. First of all, we must do as God commands. When God commanded Moses to use fifty pegs for the tabernacle, Moses fulfilled the command, not one less. If we disobey, there will be consequences!
Many people misrepresent the Bible and misinterpret the word of God. " Do not ask for the holy spirit, as the evil spirit may come!" Is that correct? As it clearly stated that
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; (Mark 16:17)
If there are no signs, then they must have believed! God told them to drive out demons but they did not. It's so obvious that they go against God! They do what God never asked them to! In some churches, they take turns in praying before meals, five minutes of prayer per person, and everyone says the same prayer. Isn't that strange? As our God never commanded us to do this! But this phenomenon prevails!
What is Sabbath? God says we need to observe the Sabbath. But what does that mean? Because God commanded us to observe the Sabbath and worship the Lord! Will you not immediately pull the sheep out of the well if it falls into the well? What if someone is going to die on Sabbath? But the Pharisees wanted to kill Jesus when they saw what Jesus did on Sabbath! What kind of people were they? They discussed what the Sabbath was but they did not do anything to help the one who needed help.
Our Lord never said anything about what you could or could not do on the Sabbath. Unfortunately, this kind of thing is happening more often nowadays. The churches' focus is on Christmas celebrations, ignoring what the Lord requires of us. To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God! This is the problem! I often wonder what God would think when He returned!
I love my Lord! I was extremely busy when I was working, I spent all my holidays learning Theology. I thought I could gain something from it. I asked the professor, " What would Jesus think about the world if He was here today?" Then the Professor turned around and said, " I am not Jesus, how would I know"? This however changed my mind and I stopped attending the class, even though I had paid for the course in full.
Heal the Sick is God's Heart's Desire
We need to know God's working logic. By reading the word of God, and walking with Him, our thoughts and ideas align with God. Is it difficult to understand what God commands us? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. We will be set free and live a healthy life! This is God's heart's desire. Many people have made a fuss about the thorn in Apostle Paul's body. There is one thorn in Paul's body, but those people never look at how many thorns are in their bodies. We cannot turn into a hedgehog. This is not the heart's desire for God.
God does not want His people to suffer. However, I am surprised that many people are not aware of this. Many years ago, I knew God's heart desired to heal the sick. That's why I decided to build a church that would heal the sick. Otherwise, we would not stop praying!
Many years ago, a sister had a tumour as big as a cauliflower. When she came to the church, we did not stop praying for her for two months, and we prayed until late at night or even at 3 or 4 o'clock in the early morning. At that time, there were only 40 people in the church, we had a very busy schedule every day for healing the sick, as well as looking after the new starters. After two months, the tumour went down to the size of an egg, and then the size of a quail egg. That's how we minister to the people. It was a difficult time, as she screamed when the pain struck her. We did not know when we could stop the prayer, the pain could last two and a half hours. However, we all experienced a miracle! We only need to hold our faith and continue with our prayers!
It does not take long to heal the sick compared to when we first started. It would take three to five hours. Many years ago, a sister suffered from cardiac failure, she only had 20 pulses per minute. It was very critical. We prayed for eight hours until she got better. The doctor was wondering what happened. My mum said, " my son has been praying for me so I got better." I believe if we hold onto our God, we will experience miracles.
Fight in Faith to Gain Access to the Promised Land
Today I want to stamp out anyone who does not want to give himself to the Lord Wholeheartedly. Ministering to others like what I do will pay off! At least I can assure you one thing, God will look after you and protect you from all illnesses and diseases. Many people have only one child, and they can't expect their children to look after four elderly people in the family in the future. So I want to sacrifice myself to the Lord! He is faithful and we need to hold onto him tight! I firmly believe He will resolve any challenging medical problems that any human being will encounter.
Health care is an eternal topic of conversation in both developed and developing countries. One thing makes me ponder. Many doctors cannot treat themselves. My classmate's father was a surgeon and he could not treat himself. He was paralyzed. How can you trust the doctors? I never had any faith in them. The hospitals only focus on how much money they can get out of their pocket. Whether you are getting it or not, totally depends on your luck.
The good news is our God is a healing God! As long as you are determined to practise His word, He will heal you! I want to challenge our brothers and sisters! Do you want to make a covenant with the Lord? Devoting the time you may spend in the hospital bed to serving the Lord. It may feel like you have done a lot, but you haven't.
Gaining access to the promised land is the main topic from Genesis to Deuteronomy! The land that God promised to Abraham, was taken back by Moses and Joshuabu driving out the people in that place. I had a question when I first read this part. I was wondering why God did not just let me walk into the land instead of fighting with the people there. Surely, it would be much easier for God to kill all the people than for the Israelites to just move in. Everything would be done in no time!
God delivered the people over to the Israelites. Nevertheless, the Israelites were brave enough to fight, they died in the wilderness as a result. What does “fight” mean? It’s not something funny. Can you imagine how difficult it would be when two armies meet on the battlefield? You cannot let your guard down. Do you know why God wants us to fight? He wants us to build up the mindset of fighting to get into the land that was promised by God. You should never fear blades! If we have faith in Him, we will not die! We will fight with strength, and God will fight for us!
Do you know why Joshua and Caleb did not die when facing a man of great size? Giant men were living in that land, and neither Joshua nor Calen were young, they killed the giants and lived. Because of their faith! A man of faith will gain access to the promised land and will not die. We know it's the Lord who will fight for us!
Do not be afraid of them; the LORD your God himself will fight for you.” (Deuteronomy 3:22)
I have cast out so many demons and sometimes I have to throw idols away on behalf of the people to whom I minister. I have to deliver the idols to temples. But I have no fear as I believe my Lord will fight for me!
Do Not be Afraid! the LORD Your God Himself Will Fight for You!
When you are scared, everyone knows! Just like when you are scared of a dog and when you are walking on the street, a dog will definitely come after you! If you tell yourself that nothing to be scared of, then that dog will leave with its tail between its legs. A few days ago, I went to visit a sister who just joined our church. Her dog was very friendly when it saw me. As I was not afraid of the dog. I walked in with great confidence because I knew God would fight for me!
It doesn't matter whether we pray in tongue or lay hands on people, all the deliverance comes from God. On cc e I was praying for someone who had back pain. I also had back pain when I was praying for him. I was not deterred by it, I continued praying until we both got well. That was a fight! I'm not afraid of dying, if you are, then you will not be able to get the promise of God or serve the Lord.
Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it. (Luke 17:33)
It was a fierce fight when the Israelites entered the land of Canaan. God commanded Moses to lead the Israelites to fight and won. This was to tell the Israelites, "Do not be afraid! The LORD will fight for us!"
Many people are scared of demons. Because they think the demons will come back after being cast out. The demons will not succeed! Because God will fight for us! Moses led as an example to demonstrate that having faith in God and God will fight for us! God has never broken His promise!
Once, someone asked if someone was not healed after praying. I said, "Yes! And it's you!" Why? Because if you have such thoughts in your mind, you will never get healed! If you want to get healed, you will have to trust the Lord wholeheartedly! A table tells a story of a foolish old man who tried to remove mountains because of the obstructions. This old man did not know God, he had great faith and believed the mountains would be moved through his perseverance and willpower. Because of his faith, the mountains were removed! As long as you have faith, you will get what we ask. Faith is a great attribute to have. Jack Ma does not believe in God, he still has great faith! He is successful in what he does. God rules over this world, and He will fulfill His promise as long as we believe in Him!
Exercising our Faith in the Spiritual Battles
Faith will prepare you for a spiritual fight! If you dont think you can compete with the big demon, you can always start from small. I know many people who don't want to fight with small demons but won't stand a chance with the big demos. Those people in the East of Jordan were very vulnerable. God used the two kings to take possession of the cities to show the Israelites that God would fight for us! Fighting is the best way of showcasing our faith in God!
We need to be pushed to serve the Lord to exercise our faith! We have two foundation courses in ministry. One is healing and deliverance, the other one is audio-to-text transcription. The audio-to-text transcription aims to help you understand the word of God. When Jesus Christ was on earth, all He did was cast out the demon and heal the sick; then preach the gospel of God. If you can master these two ministries, you will achieve a lot in understanding the word of God.
My mum suffered cardiac failure and she was struggling. If she did not have a son like me to teach her the word of God, it would be very difficult for her. Many people are eager to take part in such ministry, to improve their strength to fight in the spiritual realm. After the training, you will be able to stand your ground against evil. We will be able to fight against the spiritual force of evil. Because God will fight for us! We must exercise our faith and gain the access to the promise of God. Not only you but also everyone around you will see the faithfulness of God!
God is very down to earth, He also remembers your family! Just like God remembered Lot because of Abraham. So He sent two angels to take Lot out of the city of Sodom. God will also remember our family and bless them because of us! Dear brothers and sisters, we need to stand up against the dark world and enter the promised land.
Two tribes did not want to fight. So Moses commanded them to fight but promised that the women, children, and livestock could stay. These men must fight with other tribes until they take possession of the land. This also shows man inherently dislikes fighting. I can give you a simple example. I have to get up early in the morning and go to bed late at night to minister to a sister as well as prepare the sermon for Sunday. If I could not get the sermon ready for Sunday, I wouldn't know what to do. I had a tough time. In the end, I put down the sermon and prayed for her.
I have ministered to many people, some people are willing to follow in my footsteps of me to serve the lord, and some aren't. They are happy for me to serve them but not the other way around. A sister's grandmother had a brain and was in critical condition. I spent a lot of time praying for her. In the meantime, I also ministered to her as she suffered from mental illness. I was already exhausted but I still prayed for her grandmother, who also had a great recovery. When they both got better, I asked her to minister to other people, but she refused because she did not want to stay up to minister to people until late at night.
We must know ministering is a grace! Don't ever think you can be nice to the demon as they will not be nice back to you. We will never live harmoniously with them. Therefore, we must get strong by fighting in the spiritual realm.
Moses knew those people did not want to fight, they were content with where they were. Because they spent nearly forty years in the wilderness, they finally settled somewhere and did not want to move.
Fight for the Kingdom of God
I commanded you at that time: “The LORD your God has given you this land to take possession of it. But all your able-bodied men, armed for battle, must cross over ahead of the other Israelites. However, your wives, your children and your livestock (I know you have much livestock) may stay in the towns I have given you, until the LORD gives rest to your fellow Israelites as he has to you, and they too have taken over the land that the LORD your God is giving them across the Jordan. After that, each of you may go back to the possession I have given you.” (Deuteronomy 3:18-20)
Don't think once we have cast out the demons on ourselves, then we can rest. we don't need to help others. This is extremely selfish and Godnalo knows. But Moses still commanded them to fight. Why? The reason was very simple! We cannot rest Until we have successfully led all churches away from the control of the devils.
I don't have such selfish thoughts because I want to see all churches victorious! Not only the churches that are in China but also the churches that are all over the world. I want to see them rule over the devils.
Do you know why I have written so many books? So you know why I have created a website that stores all information? I want to be a blessing to all nations and all other churches! Today, we don't only fight for our church, we also want to lead brothers and sisters in other churches to fight, and help them gain access to the promised land. We need to live in the word of God, not idle our time.
Every time, when I hear the news of people from other churches using our website to study the word of God, I feel very pleased and I am grateful that I have done something and I have not lived in vain. I have served the Lord in different ways and my dream is to become a blessing to other nations.
We must fight for the Kingdom of God! Not only do you fight for yourself, but also your family as well as others. This is called walking with God! Because God will fight for us! He wants us to fight as He has already delivered the people who lived in that land to us. We merely go into the land to take over. It’s so simple! I often wonder why people don’t want to do something that benefits them. Instead, they'd rather do something that destroys them. We must understand that God has delivered the people to us and we will get it as soon as we start fighting. God will fight for us. That's why I'm determined to build a church that will take the devils to task, a victorious church!
Busy Working Is Not the Way, Walking with God is The Only Way!
Many years ago, I ministered to a pastor who suffered from illness. There was water in his brain. I find it strange why he would suffer that. Through praying to God, it was revealed to me that he was not a fighting pastor. So I tried to dig more. I asked him to share with me what he did in his ministry. He felt wrong and told me that he did not have one day off for several years and he had to minister to the church. He could not take more time out to relax so he burnt out. This was also the case for many other co-workers in his church. His health eventually collapsed.
The fundamental problem is he did not want to fight wholeheartedly! Today, I want to encourage all of you to follow in my footsteps of me to serve the Lord with all your heart and soul! If you serve like this, the devils will make way for you as they will be frightened of you. As a leader in the church, this is critically important! Later on, unshared with him what I had been doing and prayed for him to set him free. But he was very resistant.
A pastor once said that he never answered his phone on Mondays because Monday was his day of rest. I strongly disagreed with him. His logic did not work for me at all.
Rest does not resolve problems, walking with God will! Rest means walking with God. It doesn't matter how tired our body is, we will have plenty of rest when we lie in the coffin after we die. I have seen many people lying in hospital beds, they have nothing to do but rest. It doesn't do them any good at all.
We must release our inner energy and be full of life! You can rest when you are tired. Rest will not solve your problems. The key is to let the spirit of God move inside you, serve Him and walk with Him to release your strength. I have not had a day for the past twenty years, I am still full of energy. Therefore, we must change our perception of "rest". We must fight!
We must fight to get into the promised land! We need to enlarge the territory of God, and cast out demons! If we drive out demons with the finger of God, then the Kingdom of God will come upon us! We need to come out of our comfort zone to serve the Kingdom of God.
God's High Standards for His Leaders
In this chapter, God told Moses that he was not allowed to enter the promised land. Our God detests people who disobey His words. That's why Moses could only look around the land but not cross the Jordan. God wants to tell us: if you are a leader of a church, you must obey the word of God or, keep His decrees and follow them, you must tremble at the words of God. Why did not Moses disobey God? It was not an easy job to lead the Israelites. Even so, you still need to obey the words of God.
He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?” Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank. (Numbers 20:10-11)
Here, Moses lost his temper when he struck the rock. Consequently, he was not allowed to cross the Jordan to enter the promised land.
God has high standards for the leaders who He appointed. For example, God commanded King Saul to attack the Amalekites and destroy everything that belonged to them.
Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’ ” (1 Samuel 15:3)
However, King Saul did not obey the words of God.
But Saul and the army spared Agag and the best of the sheep and cattle, the fat calves and lambs—everything that was good. These they were unwilling to destroy completely, but everything that was despised and weak they totally destroyed. (1 Samuel 15:9)
God was angry and He regretted making Saul king. Because he turned away from God. We must do as God commands.
Emotion is a negative thing. I encountered some very short-tempered people. It did not take much for them to lose their composure. We must not let our emotions make us turn away from God. God set an example for the Israelites: Do not be frightened! The LORD will fight for you! At the same time, God also teaches us a lesson: Don't follow in the footsteps of Moses to disobey the words of God and be not allowed to enter the promised land.
We must follow the words of God without a slight slack. The staff means the power to rule over. You can't misuse or abuse it, you will lose out otherwise.
Do not be afraid of them; the LORD your God himself will fight for you.” (Deuteronomy 3:22)
