Why God Forbid us Worshipping Idols

Do you know why God did not want us to worship idols? Because **we have the honourable image of God, so we are superior to angels.**However, if you live like a wimp, and after death, your descendants cry, " My dear ancestors, please bless me!" How is that possible if you could not protect yourself when you're alive, but protect your descendants after death? We must know that the living is far more precious and honourable than the dead!

My dear brothers and sisters, we must understand humans are very honourable, neither angels nor animals are as honourable as humans. The interesting thing is our ancestors created twelve Chinese zodiac signs. People are often interested in knowing each other's zodiac signs. They even say they are under the sign of "Rat". It does not sound great at all! If you ask me about my zodiac sign, then I will certainly tell you that I belong to God! It sounds way better than the Rat!

We have the image of the eternal God because we were created in the image of God! The angels were not! This has underpinned the above-mentioned that humans are very honourable! But why did God create angels? All angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation! Therefore, we cannot worship angels, we are superior to angels! God has never told the angels to be a King sitting next to Him. In other words, we don't worship idols, because we are very honourable!

However, when people are deceived by the devils, they will feel very inferior. At the same time, they have forgotten that we are honourable! Jesus is the Lord, and the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. And He said

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. (John 14:12)

So what was Jesus Christ doing? The faith in Jesus Christ is to restore the glorious image of God! Once you have retired the image of God, you will do what Jesus did, and all signs and wonders will follow you! You will be the one who performs miracles. Truly speaking, faith is to restore the image of God in us just like how He initially created us in His own image!

Faith in Jesus Christ is talking about how we can live out the glory of God! So, what is chapter 5 talking about?

Walk in obedience to all that the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess. (Deuteronomy 5:33)

This is the fundamental principle of living and prospering and prolonging your days on this earth! The most important principle is being honourable! My dear brothers and sisters, we must restore the image of God! For example, when you have the image of God, you will be confident that you are going to be a member of the company you are interviewed for. Then, we call it restoring the image of God! However, don't treat your job as an idol! Because we don't live to work, we live for the Lord! For the destiny that He bestowed upon us! Because we have the honourable image of God, therefore, we do not worship idols! Our God, the Lord, is the ruler of all things! Idols are nothing compared to the Lord!

Do you know a Chinese mythical creature called Pi Xiu? It's a symbol of prosperous wealth, the same as the Greek God Plutus. The wife of my friend had Put Xiu in her pocket all the time to help her win money in mahjong as she played mahjong a lot. It's a common practice for people who play mahjong. But, she had Synovitis as a result. So I prayed with her for ten minutes and everything went back to normal. Sadly, people don't know whether you win or lose, nothing can stop you from getting Synovitis, cancer, or accidents.

All I want to tell you is, you are very honourable, our God has already placed His image in us and to tell us that we are very honourable in the Spiritual Realm! And you decide whether to have it or not. I firmly believe I have the honourable image of God in me!

The most amazing thing is He will make our name great in the Spiritual Realm! This has been proven many times in my ministry. I will give one example. Once I was praying, I saw many different things in the Spiritual Realm, and many of them were talking about me. They said they had bad luck because of me. The names of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are associated with God because He was the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob! I am telling you today, that God is also our God!

Our God is honorable, and so are we! Don’t ever belittle yourself! This is the key reason why you cannot worship idols! Why can’t we worship the dead? Because we are far more honourable than the dead! We don’t need to beg the dead to give us anything! Only we give them something! We do not worship idols as they cannot give us anything! We are greater than them! Therefore, don’t ever say you belong to the zodiac sign of Rat, Dragon… We belong to the Lord Jesus! We have the image of the eternal God!

Shall not Bow Down to Idols, Shall Have no other Gods Before Him, Shall not Misuse the Name of the Lord

The First & Second Commandment: You Shall Have No Other Gods Before Him

You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, (Deuteronomy 5:8-9)

You shall not worship any idols in any form or shape! Otherwise, you will live under a curse! You will lose the promise of living and prospering and prolonging the days in this land! My brothers and sisters, you must not worship idols, as He has declared

If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. (Deuteronomy 8:19)

See now that I myself am he! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand. (Deuteronomy 32:39)

The Third Commandment: You Shall not Misuse the Name of the Lord

Do you know what that means? It means people use the name of the Lord with contempt, we don’t honour our God, and we swear in the name of the Lord Jesus, all the above are called misuse of the name of the Lord. Therefore, we must be careful, and learn to fear the Lord and keep the commandments and do them! If we don’t understand them, then don’t talk irresponsibly! As this is dangerous!

You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. (Deuteronomy 5:11)

What is guilt? It means the evil spirits can sabotage you with God's permission! Why did not God want people to misuse His name? Because He wanted us to be careful and not to be someone who listens to the word of Him but not reads or practise them. Therefore, we must read the Bible! It's very dangerous to not read the Bible carefully and properly! If you do, the spirit will lead you and nothing can replace that! We study the Bible book by book, as well as some other courses that reinforce the word of God. This is the foundation on which we can build our faith.

The Fourth Commandment: Keep the Sabbath

In the time of the Old Testaments, the Sabbath was kept on Saturday, and Sunday was the Sabbath in the New Testaments. It doesn't really matter which day you choose. The most important thing is to consecrate your time to the Lord! We must know "for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life". If we lose the Spirit, then everything fails.

We will talk about the Ten Commandments. It will enable us to live and prosper and prolong our days in this land. This is to manifest the glory of the Lord! We will be as bad as the Pharisees if we forget the fundamental principles.

We need to be crystal clear in what the Bible tries to tell us. It tells us to consecrate our time to worship our God. As nothing is more important than that in our life! If not, you will not live a good life, because you don't know the utter most important thing in your life is to keep the Sabbath. The Israelites worked six days a week and worshipped the Lord on Sunday to keep the Sabbath. So they had no break. When they kept the Sabbath, they had to prepare the offerings to the Lord, read the word of God and read all the words of the law. They did not have one day off throughout the year.

Once I met a pastor who told me that I would burn out if I did not take breaks. The funny thing is I don't take breaks at all. All I need is to keep the Sabbath not rest. I sometimes say something that is not nice, i.e. you will have plenty of time to rest when you lie in the coffin. We need the Sabbath not to rest!

The most important principle we need is to keep the Sabbath not to rest. What is the Sabbath? It means walking with God! Do you know that? It's our responsibility to take time to know our God. We work six days a week, and one day to worship Him so we will live and prosper and prolong our days! People often think they will lose out if they consecrate the time to God. We must love our God with all our hearts and all our soul!

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (Deuteronomy 6:5)

However, people very often treat a job as their God and it becomes an idol. Why? They don't believe they can live without a job. What does it mean to not idolise your job? Don't think you will have a good life if you work hard! This is a stressful way of living. The key is we cannot idolise our job, and our attitude matters. We should not let our job prevent us from serving the Lord, as this is our destiny. We can only have a good life by following the word of God!

Loving the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength! Consecrate the time for God will not lose out! The thought of working hard gives you a good life is pathetic. A person who trusts the Lord will consecrate the time as well as lead a good life on earth.

Keeping all the decrees and all the laws and following them, He will keep you safe forever! To live a prosperous life, you must read the word of God and put it into practice! We live in every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord! The servant of God will be full of energy!

It's critical to read the word of God! We need to live like an eagle! Establishing the concept of enduring, calamity, the curse, and blessings as well as disease. Curses and blessings closely relate to diseases. They determine how your life will pan out. Therefore, don't be short-sighted.

The Fifth Commandment: Honour Your Father and Mother

Honouring your father and mother while they are alive is a commandment that comes with a promise. You will live under a deep curse otherwise. Be strong and courageous, you will be blessed! The faith of Christianity reaches far beyond the Ten Commandments as they are basic requirements! We need to study the Ten Commandments thoroughly and don't live under a curse, we need to be worthy Christians who live for our Lord, and prosper and prolong our days in this land!
