The Foundation of Victory is Obedience
The key to victory lies in the inner victory, mainly about coming out of being victimized. As Christians, we must be victorious Christians. If you are not victorious within, it is difficult to be a Christian. The most important thing about inner victory is coming out from within.
The Final Battle describes small units very clearly. We must have sufficient knowledge of the devil. Today, we may suddenly feel depressed or uncomfortable, etc. We must look at it with spiritual eyes, constantly climbing the mountain of Jehovah, entering the temple of the God of Jacob, and continuously elevating our spiritual level. In fact, the devil's most powerful tactic is to wound people, make them bitter, and believe in lies, which leads to a series of problems.
Passing on the spiritual assets of the church is a very important concept. The Christians spoken of in the Bible pay the price. Therefore, Christians are divided into three types: seekers, believers, and disciples. In fact, the faith of Christ Jesus is to strive for a complete faith, as the scriptures in Hebrews say: Leaving the elementary doctrine of Christ, let us press on to maturity. In fact, the management we inherit in our church comes from the Bible. From the Old and New Testaments, we can see that Jesus wants disciples. Disciples are Christians who pay the price. Only disciples count and can live out their destiny. What we preach is the gospel of destiny. Why can many people's problems be solved when they come to our church? Because we build the church according to the Word of the Bible. If you do not build the church according to God's Word, you will not see God's glory.
In the 101 course, we also talked about the most important truth: being obedient to the point of death is the most important character trait for Christians to be victorious. If you do not have this kind of character, it is difficult to fight spiritual battles, you will retreat, be captured by the devil, become a prisoner of the devil, and life will be very difficult. Christ Jesus was tempted but was victorious, so we must leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and strive for completeness. In The Final Battle it is written: if you stay on the first few levels, it is a tragedy. Only by constantly climbing can you be victorious in higher spiritual battles. Only then can you live well, because when a person's spirit prospers and climbs spiritual peaks higher and higher, the devil's arrows cannot reach you. If you climb higher, the corruption and lies released by the devil cannot deceive you. For example, if a person is inexplicably depressed, it means that they still need to climb spiritual peaks until it is no longer I who live, but Jesus living in us. If you reach such a peak, you actually don't care much about many things. Therefore, being obedient to the point of death is a spiritual character trait. When brothers and sisters reach the level of unity, the devil's arrows cannot reach them; the highest realm is the Father's garden of love.
Having the most important character of Jesus Christ is called obedience, because this is the foundation of victory. The problem of Christians is actually the problem of obedience. In the entire level of faith, obedience is the highest level of expression.
Authority means not overstepping one's bounds. People often manage problems that they should not manage. We must know that it is not about rational obedience, but also about obeying what is unreasonable.
who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:6-11)
Jesus Christ originally had authority. And he also had the image of God. Was he willing to take the form of a servant and serve this era? Jesus is the highest authority, but he does not use his rights because he learns to obey. Obeying the will of the Father for him, he came to earth to fulfill God's destiny in him!
What kind of obedience is this!
Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name (Philippians 2:9).
This is the result of obedience.
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:6-11)
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11)
What kind of result is this? This is the supreme result.
What does this passage of scripture written in the Bible want us to do? It is to let us imitate Jesus Christ. Remember, imitating Jesus Christ is the core value of our church. We do what Jesus does. This is a very important spiritual concept. Since Jesus did this, we do the same. So why do we do this? Very simply, the result is to be exalted to the highest. What does it mean to be exalted to the highest? It means that your life will reach almost complete level. If a person is obeyed to the point of death, there must be the image of Jesus Christ in your life.
Through this passage, we sum up several concepts: First, you have your rights, but you do not use your rights. You have your authority, but you do not use your authority. When? When you are injured, you are not in a retaliatory attitude, not brewing bitterness, but choosing to obey. When you are wronged, you still choose to obey. No matter what you suffer, you still choose to obey. At this time, you completely defeat the devil, because you reject bitterness, reject unforgiveness, and reject injury. If a person can be obeyed to the point of death, he does not even care about death. Jesus was nailed to the cross. Think about how wronged he was! Yet He still chose to obey!
Obedience, the Character of Victory
In fact, this character is highlighted again and again in the Bible. For example, Isaac, he dug a well and it was taken away, then he dug another one and it was taken away again. Think about it, is he qualified to be bitter? He is qualified; is he qualified to complain: God, what have you been doing? He is qualified, but he did not complain like this, he did not care. If it was taken away, he would dig another one. Finally, he came to a wide place where there was enough water for him to live, and the well was no longer taken away. Isaac named the well Rehoboth, which means wide place. What kind of character is this? This is a victorious character. Jacob worked in the house of his uncle Laban, who changed his wages ten times. In fact, his uncle Laban was playing tricks. But Jacob did not care, he did not quarrel with his uncle at all, nor did he return to the flock, bang, give the sheep a kick, his temper rose, It's because of you sheep! He did not do this either, and still took good care of Laban's sheep. Everyone must not feel injustice for themselves because of their qualifications, their rights, or because this matter is originally unreasonable when it is done to them. That is being hurt, that is the beginning of being hurt. If you are in this state, it is impossible to overcome the devil. Today, our brothers and sisters must learn from these people.
Obedience, the Supreme Ability
The ability to endure grievances in one's life is a supreme ability. In your work place, if your boss wrongs you, how do you face it? Just pretend that it didn't happen. If someone wrongs you in the church, just pretend that it didn't happen. Do not argue or talk about it there. Do not argue for yourself, but develop the character of obedience to the point of death. This character is the key to victory in spiritual warfare. Because you have the right to protect yourself, this is a lower level; having the right but not using your right to protect yourself, that is a supreme character, which is the character of Jesus Christ. This principle is very simple. Jesus Christ knew very well that he was fighting a spiritual battle. Everyone may not understand why God exalted him to the highest place. You are qualified to fight for yourself, but you do not fight for yourself. What will happen? You will be exalted to the highest place! I rarely fight for my rights in my work place. I have never asked my boss to give me a raise. Even if my boss scolded me, I suffered a lot of grievances, but I went back and did my job well. Later, when my boss realized that this matter was not fair to me, he began to honor me, and then I would rise. If you can't stand a little bit of grievance and you collapse at every turn, and your emotions become negative, that is not a victorious character. Christians must know that they have faith in God.
It is not man who is in power in the world, but God who is in power. Even your boss and your superiors cannot determine your destiny, that is determined by God. The question is whether you have this character of obedience to the point of death in you. What will happen when Jesus Christ became flesh and became a human image? Once you are a human image, you must learn to rely on God, and you must have a kind of trust in God, that is, no one and nothing can change God's plan for me. Being wronged and suffering grievances cannot change it either. In fact, our brothers and sisters must know that the character of a Christian is like a copper pea, which cannot be crushed or hammered. This character can strike the devil and the enemy. No matter how much grievance you suffer, you must know that God is in control. Do you believe it? If you believe it, you will find that you can endure any grievance, because you do not care much. If you are a human being, you must learn to trust God.
There are several numbers, seven is God's number, six is the devil's number, and five is man's number. According to numbers, five is smaller than six, and six is smaller than seven, but if five is linked with seven, that is, man is linked with God, and being obedient, man will be bigger than the devil. Man can certainly overcome the devil by trusting God. This character is the character of victory.
Submission: A Trait of Jesus Christ
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11)
This is not just about Jesus Christ; all who emulate Jesus Christ will cause every knee to bow in heaven, on earth, and under the earth at the name of Jesus. We become the body of Jesus Christ. Whose image you possess determines who you belong to. If you bear the image of the devil, you belong to the devil. The devil lives in agony because he is utterly disobedient. A disobedient person suffers greatly. Once you submit, you become less vulnerable to hurt. This is the secret of Jesus Christ's exaltation. In spiritual warfare, your spiritual height determines your state of victory or defeat. If you contend with the devil, unconditional submission to God will surely lead you to victory. Indeed, Jesus Christ suffered the greatest injustice; no one has endured more unfairness than He. When I reflect on the injustices Jesus Christ faced, our problems seem trivial. Enduring some injustice is inconsequential. People easily break down because they lack the character of Christ Jesus. People easily get hurt because they lack the character of Christ Jesus. People do not thrive because they lack the character of Christ Jesus. If you possess this character of Jesus Christ, you will be hard to defeat. Therefore, we must cultivate the character of Jesus Christ in our lives, at work, and within the church.
Many say this is difficult. Last night, someone left the group, saying they could not bear what was preached from Deuteronomy and could not meet its demands. Leaving the group only makes it more impossible, does it not? Brothers and sisters, cultivate a spiritual habit: the habit of victory. Is victory easy? No, it is not. Was it painful for Jesus Christ to be nailed to the cross? Yes, it was very painful. Is it painful when we are hurt? Yes, it is very painful. I tell you, experiencing ingratitude is very painful, truly painful. But when we equip ourselves with God's Word, we learn to make the right choice: to choose whether to be hurt or not. Often, my heart is pierced with a thousand wounds. I serve wholeheartedly and diligently, and yet, one word that someone dislikes causes them to be hurt. All the effort and cost invested in them are erased.
Opportunities for hurt are plentiful, but learning to be obedient to the point of death—having such trust in God—makes you less susceptible to being hurt. If a person is devoid of feeling, that is not the faith of Jesus Christ. Indeed, it was very painful for Jesus to be nailed to the cross, and the lashes on His body were intensely painful, not ordinary pain. But Jesus Christ chose victory. Today, we must walk this path of the cross. What is the path of the cross? It is being obedient to the point of death, having absolute trust in God.
Regardless of the circumstances, the injustices endured, or the unfairness faced, do not assert your rights for your own sake. You might say, Isn't that how you teach us? To be strong, courageous, and to fight continuously?” That is because the spiritual maturity of those being taught has not reached the level of Jesus Christ's obedience to the point of death. Teach them according to their level. If you teach them obedience to the point of death, they will suffer even more. So, what to do? Provide them with a lower step to climb, allowing them to assert their rights a little. After some deliberation, they might say, Forget it, I won't assert my rights. That decision not to assert rights is victory.
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph in the Bible all exemplify this. Brothers and sisters, the Bible promotes unconditional submission. Understand that God reigns in this world, not the devil, not your boss, nor your enemies—God reigns. Therefore, whether good or bad things happen, let them refine your character and personality. If something can refine your character and personality, it is victory. It means that all things work together for good to those who love God.
The suffering Jesus Christ endured was certainly not like the pain of cancer. He bore a Mingding Destiny, being crucified because of it. Many mistakenly believe that having cancer or a car accident is bearing the cross. That is often the result of one's own curses. Some sufferings are without glory. However, the suffering that Jesus Christ endured was a glorious suffering because God was clearly with Him. So today, we must learn unconditional submission, not for any other reason but for our Mingding Destiny.
Obeying God to the Point of Death is the Best Trust in God
Some people are desperately doing business, desperately making money. Then suffered a lot of grievances, thinking that God needs your money in the same way, in fact, not. Not all suffering is carrying the cross, some are Mingding Destiny, like Paul is carrying the cross, with the glory of the cross, surrounded on all sides, but not trapped. Encounter all kinds of situations are unconditionally obey God. Do not be afraid when suffering comes, start to choose victory. Obey to the point of death, that is the best trust in God.
In the process of our service, do not feel that God did not call me because of how we feel inside. Many people say this nonsense. In fact, God has called each of us to serve Him. To serve Him is our Mingding Destiny as a Christian. No matter what happens, meet the mountains to open the road, meet the water to build a bridge, rush over! This is a kind of character of Jesus Christ. Victory is promoted to the highest. Do you want to climb the spiritual peak? Climbing the spiritual peak is actually still choosing to obey in the face of one setback after another.
After victory, we see the glory of God. Every time Abraham chose to be victorious in faith, God said that I would bless you, I would bless you, I would bless you, and Abraham's spiritual life was constantly improved. At the highest level, he completely offered Isaac. This is how obedient it is. After victory, God said to him, on blessing, I will give you great blessings. This is a victory. Complete submission is a super advanced victory. Not being hurt is a low-grade victory. When you reach the point of being obedient to the point of death, nothing can hurt you anymore.
Today let’s tell a few stories. The first story is 1 Samuel. God commanded Saul to fight the Amalekites and asked him to kill all the people and all the cattle and sheep, leaving none. As a result, Saul only killed some of the people and some of the cattle and sheep. Because he listened to the voices of his subordinates and thought it was a pity to kill such good cattle and sheep. Saul was afraid of people and afraid that his subordinates would not follow him, and he himself felt that these cattle and sheep were good. So he chose to disobey God's command. Today we must choose to obey God's word to the point of being obedient to the point of death. When Saul chose to disobey God's word, what happened? The Spirit of God left Saul, and the spirit of the devil entered Saul.
Obedience is a spiritual matter, and disobedience attracts demons. Unconditional obedience is a victory in spiritual warfare. Unconditional obedience immediately brings victory in spiritual warfare. David's obedience to Saul was unconditional obedience. What if he risked his life? God determines our lives and deaths. People cannot determine when we live and when we die, only God determines when we are born and when we die. What God hates most is disobedience. A disobedient person cannot be victorious in spiritual life. Whether you and I have an absolutely obedient mind is the key to building a victorious church. From Abraham to the Lord Jesus, God has opened up a path of exaltation for us. The path of exaltation is absolute obedience to God.
Some people ask me, what if you go the wrong way? Even if I go the wrong way, God can correct me, do you believe it? Do you think God is incompetent? If you think God is incompetent, God will fix you. If I go the wrong way, God will definitely correct me. My pastor went the wrong way, and God will definitely correct him. Even if my pastor goes the wrong way, when I choose to obey, it will definitely not affect God's Destiny on me. Once you take this path, the church will become an extremely powerful church. Everyone has the character of obedience, and when united to attack the devil, it becomes a victorious army. Joshua led the Israelites around the city of Jericho for seven days, practicing absolute obedience. Today, brothers and sisters, when you are wronged, do you choose absolute obedience? In the concept revealed in the Bible, obedience is a crucial concept.
What if the government doesn’t allow me to believe in the Lord? When the small and the big conflict, we must listen to the big. The greatest is our God. We do what the Bible says. Obedience has a structure of authority. Jesus lived during the time of the high priest, and the high priest sentenced Jesus to the cross, and Jesus obeyed. Because he came into this world to use such things to show God's glory. If a person is healed through your prayers, God's name is glorified. When you choose to obey and then bear a inexplicable wrong and pain like Jesus Christ, and being nailed to the cross becomes your Destiny, God's name will be greatly glorified, and God will exalt you to the highest. Jesus Christ died for us and died on the cross to set an example of obedience for us. That is a kind of unconditional obedience. Like Abraham offering Isaac, Isaac came back alive. Today, God asks us brothers and sisters to completely offer ourselves, not for anything else, but for you to gain life. It is Jesus who died on the cross, not us. When we choose to offer ourselves completely, God will use His own power to protect us, and God will cover us with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore, brothers and sisters, start to develop the character of obedience, which is the most important character in a person's life. That is the greatest victory for Christians.
