The Ministry of Jesus Christ

Good day to all. Let us examine the latter portion of Matthew, Chapter 4, from verses 12 to 25. Matthew was a disciple who followed Jesus from the beginning of His ministry. His Gospel of Matthew appears peculiar to us, as he disregards unimportant details, swiftly writing down only the crucial and essential content; he seeks to convey the ministry of Jesus Christ. Before His ministry, Jesus Christ fulfilled all righteousness and overcame the temptations of the devil; these are essential points he had to include.

The latter part of Matthew, Chapter 4, pertains to the ministry of Jesus Christ. Speaking of the ministry of Jesus Christ, it commenced after His triumph, for ministry before victory is of little effect. That is to say, the ministry of one who is not victorious bears little fruit. Over the years, I have encountered many whose ministries differ from that of Jesus, who do not preach the powerful Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. (Matthew 4:23)

This passage is excellently worded, repeating several times in Matthew the proclamation of the Gospel of the Kingdom and the healing of all kinds of diseases and sicknesses among the people. This is the model of Jesus Christ's ministry, an example for us to emulate. If you observe a pastor whose ministry involves teaching in the church and proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, without healing various diseases and sicknesses among the people, is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ? What does he believe in, we are not quite clear, although he also speaks of Jesus, his ministry diverges from that of Jesus.

I read Matthew early on and knew that Jesus's ministry was to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom, healing the sick, and casting out demons. Jesus Christ trained twelve disciples to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom, heal the sick, and cast out demons, and then trained seventy more disciples to continue preaching the Gospel and healing the sick and casting out demons. In my mind, this was self-evident. However, this generation is filled with various doctrines, such as preaching the Gospel to go to heaven, which differs from the Gospel of Jesus Christ of healing various diseases.

After becoming a pastor, the most significant, profound, and perplexing issue for me was, Why does my ministry not resemble that of Jesus? It is not entirely dissimilar; we started as a church that cast out demons. Casting out demons is not easy, but there is also the mercy and grace of God. At that time, we could not really speak of being victorious, and ministry without victory is indeed quite arduous, progressing step by step. But I want to say that even in the process of not being victorious, we were able to cast out demons.

At the school where I was studying, there was a student suffering from unrequited love, which was very painful. Unrequited love is a demon that can torment people severely. This student sat in the school cafeteria and wept. Later, she sought a master who gave her a curse to recite. After reciting it, she became mentally ill. At a subway station in Singapore, she stood in the pose of a statue from morning until night. People saw her there on their way to work, thinking she was an artist, and when they saw her still there on their way home, they called the police. The police took her to jail and then to a mental hospital. I and several Christians went to heal her and cast out the demons, and we truly expelled the demons.

When we went to her residence, her landlord told us that she had not left her room for two days, talking to someone in the room, but she was the only one there. She was talking to demons and later became mentally ill. I asked her what happened after she recited the curse. She said the boy came to her room to find her, which was frightening! At that time, I knew that the ministry of Jesus Christ should be like this: teaching, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing various diseases. Then this matter becomes very interesting, Jesus Christ did these things after His victory and was very efficient. We stumbled at the beginning, step by step until today, establishing a victorious church, and these experiences that God has allowed us to go through are excellent.

The Ministry of Jesus Christ is a Ministry that Brings Hope

The ministry of Jesus Christ is a ministry that brings hope. In today's generation, the impact of disease on people is profound. If diseases cannot be cured, people become relics of the past, and their lives come to an end. Disease is a very spiritual matter, and I have found that nothing gives people more hope than releasing them from the control of diseases. People who are sick are in great pain. After becoming ill, they lose hope and live in darkness, which is very difficult.

the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. (Matthew 4:16)

How did they see it? It was by seeing Jesus Christ preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, healing the sick, and casting out demons. What does healing the sick and casting out demons prove? It proves the reality of the kingdom of heaven. People are actually under the oppression of the dark forces of the devil when they are suffering from sickness. Later, I studied what diseases are all about. When there is an evil spirit in a person, it does not cause disease at first. But as the evil spirit continues to operate, it causes disease. Initially, the evil spirit operates in a person's mind, through constant fear, worry, and anxiety. After a while, the person is finished. The evil spirit causes people to distinguish between good and evil, to become angry, or to feel resentful, to feel that they are right and that the whole world is letting them down. They feel uncomfortable inside, and various diseases gradually begin to break out.

Human disease is actually an operation in the spiritual realm, and Jesus Christ solves this problem by giving people hope through casting out demons and healing the sick. Other problems are easier to solve, but the issue of disease is not easy to solve. For example, the impact of the current COVID-19 situation is profound. The medical system that we have built through science is basically helpless against the coronavirus. When this medical system is operating normally, it is already running barely. Once a plague breaks out, it immediately exceeds the capacity of the medical system and collapses. Patients arrive and there is no place to stay, and it is also a contagious disease, which is very frustrating.

If the Gospel of Jesus Christ can give people hope in times of illness, then a light truly dawns on them in the land of the shadow of death, and people living in darkness see a great light. This is giving people hope. We did not see Jesus Christ dividing inheritances for people. Inheritances are not important. People do not live for money, but this disease will really corrupt people's lives. People who are sick are in pain and suffering, which is very difficult.

It does not matter whether one has a lot of money or not. God values us as human beings and also values the pain we experience in the darkness. The pain that people suffer from loving money is their own fault, and the pain caused by diseases is also their own fault, but God still has abundant grace and mercy to release us from this pain. So the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel that brings hope. How do we preach the Gospel? Do we convey hope to people when we preach the Gospel? For example, if your family members are sick, you ask them if they want to believe in Jesus, and they say they do not want to believe, and you say, If you do not want to believe, then just suffer slowly! This does not give people hope in the slightest. Why? Because they do not know what believing in Jesus is!

If you do not believe in Jesus, I will not pray for you. This does not give people hope! In fact, many people come to Jesus, and if you ask them if they truly believe, not many truly believe. Because when Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross, there were only about a hundred people left. The others who had benefited from Jesus Christ did not know what had happened. Those living in the land of the shadow of death, how can they receive the light that has dawned on them? Once people become ill, their value system will be reshaped. Why? Because the torment of illness is not the same as people without money. People without money who are healthy and energetic are still okay, but it is different when they are tormented by illness.

Some sisters, when they have menstrual pain, their whole bodies are cold and they sweat profusely, which is really painful. If you have menstrual pain and have to take leave every time, but you come among us and are healed, do not forget this matter, because it will give you great hope. What is especially ironic? One sister is a scientist who studies medicine, but she cannot solve her menstrual pain problem.

Pain really destroys people's hope. A person under the control of pain is under the control of the spirit of death, and people really need hope. For example, the woman with the issue of blood had spent all her money. She had no money and nothing. At this time, when she heard that Jesus was coming, hope suddenly ignited within her. Among us, many people with various diseases, when they hear of a church like ours, suddenly have hope ignited within them. The funniest thing is that there was a sister who was disturbed by demons and was in great pain. She said, In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am in Chinese Mingding Destiny, I am in a victorious church, and I command you to retreat! As a result, the demon really retreated.

It turns out that Chinese Mingding Destiny works in the kingdom of the devil. Why? Because this is a gospel that gives people hope. Few churches do what we do. What do most churches do? They tell you to see a doctor when you are sick, but the doctor does not know how to treat their own illnesses. The COVID-19 situation is really frustrating, those beds only have one thousand beds, but ten thousand people come, who do you give it to? It is really frustrating, who do you give it to? Give it to those with more money? But that is morally unacceptable. Give it to those with less money? It also seems morally unacceptable. People are very frustrated inside.

But today, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, there is truly hope for people. How can we receive this benefit? This is an important sign of Jesus Christ's ministry, which is healing the sick and casting out demons. Brothers and sisters must know that this is something that Matthew emphasized in the Gospel of Matthew. For example, Chapters 5-7 talk about how Jesus taught people; Chapters 8-10 talk about healing the sick and casting out demons, and then some more teachings.

The entire Gospel of Matthew talks about two things. The first thing, how Jesus taught people; the second thing, how to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, and cast out demons; this is the Gospel of the Kingdom. The Gospel of the Kingdom is not the Gospel of going to heaven after death. Jesus did not say that the Kingdom is at hand, that one goes to heaven after death and suffers while alive. Jesus did not say that. No one wants to be sick and suffer there, no one wants to. So, for those who are sick, there is good news for you, a light has dawned on you, those who are controlled and corrupted by the spirit of death, those sitting in the land of the shadow of death, the people in darkness have seen hope, what hope? That our diseases can be healed. Once we become people who are healed, we should know one thing, this is a treasure.

Some people are very foolish. For example, there was a sister who left after being healed among us. After the illness returned, she came again; after praying for healing, she left again; after the illness returned, she came again; after praying for healing, she left again. Three in and three out! Later, I thought I would train her, but I did not succeed, and she wanted to leave again. Because I wanted to train her skills so that she could go out to work in the future. In fact, this child is not stupid, where she is stupid is that she does this repeatedly.

Later, when she left, I said, What should I do if the illness comes back? She said, It won't. I said, Then I hope it doesn't! As a result, she came back to us after a few months. Why? Because people just do not know that after being healed, the illness will return! Then what should you do if the illness returns? I will come to Jesus again, and after being healed, I will go back to my old ways, and then I will get sick again, and then I will come to Jesus again, anyway, Jesus heals me. This person's logic is also very good! But what is the problem? The Kingdom is at hand, we should all repent, because we have gone the wrong way in the past!

The Kingdom of Heaven Is Near, We Should All Repent

When we preach the Gospel of the Kingdom, it must be a Gospel of repentance. Why should we repent? Because we have gone the wrong way in the past. One of our brothers testified that his mother-in-law loved money like her life, and she even wanted to save the little bit of money for the data that we used to pray for her. Thank God, she was discharged from the hospital a few days ago. At first, she was bleeding from her large intestine, flowing out several liters at a time, which was very scary! But did she repent? Not necessarily. If she wants to receive the benefits of the Kingdom, she must be a smart person who knows that she has been doing things wrong in the past. In the past, she lived relying on money, but money could not solve her problems. It was her son-in-law who knew Chinese Mingding Destiny, received the power, and prayed for her and she was healed, but after being healed, she had to repent!

This brother's wife is also very interesting. If I were this brother's wife, I would be very surprised, I also want such power! Because if this disease comes upon me in the future, who do I go to? Isn't it? But many people just refuse to repent and continue to walk the same old path, which is a dead end! Today we must know that those who are sitting in the valley of the shadow of death, that is, those people in the world, if they want to constantly receive the benefits of the Kingdom, they need to constantly repent!

Someone asked me, After praying, can the disease be eradicated? I said, There is only one way to eradicate the disease, and that is repentance. The Kingdom is at hand, we should all repent. As long as we walk on the blessed road, won't the disease be eradicated? There is only one way to eradicate it, and that is to keep and follow God's Word. We must not be foolish, touching the treasure and then running away. I don’t know what you will do in the future if the illness comes back, what will you use to resist it? This is actually a very simple principle, we must walk a path of repentance.

Some people, after repenting, go back to their old ways again, repenting again and again. Originally, they repented from the worldly logical system to the logical system of God's Kingdom, but after repenting in the logical system of God's Kingdom, they went back to the worldly logical system. After returning to the worldly logical system, they cannot solve the problem when they encounter it again, which is so stupid! So the Bible describes these people as dogs vomiting up what they have eaten and then eating it again, which is so disgusting!

The kingdom of heaven is at hand, and we should all repent. Jesus began His ministry by preaching repentance, and He fulfilled all righteousness by receiving the baptism of repentance. He did not need to repent, yet He was baptized in repentance, how much more should we? After a person overcomes, he will be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The power of the Holy Spirit allows us to heal the sick and cast out demons, but there is one thing we cannot do, which is to help these people repent. They must repent themselves, we cannot do it for them. This is the second service of Jesus Christ. The first service of Jesus Christ is giving hope. Healing the sick and casting out demons truly gives hope. The second is that the kingdom of heaven is at hand, and you should all repent.

## The Ministry of Jesus Christ is to Catch Men Like Fish

**As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” At once they left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets, and Jesus called them. Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him. (Matthew 4:18-22)**

When I first believed in Jesus, I read this passage and followed Jesus, and I am still following Him today. What am I doing? Catching men like fish. What we are doing today is catching men like fish. At that time, I did not quite understand, how could Peter, Andrew, James, and John just follow Jesus like that? Did they stop working? Did they leave their father behind to follow Jesus? What did they go to do? To catch men like fish! Actually, if you calculate, you will know which is more worthwhile! How much is a fish worth? People are very valuable, catching people is much better than catching fish.

Brothers and sisters, you must know that it takes ten years to grow a tree, but a hundred years to cultivate a person. Shaping a person takes much longer, and the return is much higher than shaping a tree. What we are doing today is catching men like fish! Is it better to catch fish or to catch people? Of course, it is better to catch people. Peter, Andrew, James, and John understood this very well. Nowadays, it is the era of internet celebrities. Internet celebrities play with the number of fans, which can bring goods. The development of internet celebrities in our country can be said to be in full swing, a sunrise industry, thriving. If you gain fans, it is like this, what will happen if you gain disciples? Gaining disciples is even more powerful. Therefore, what Jesus did was: giving hope; preaching the gospel of the kingdom; the kingdom of heaven is at hand, you should all repent; calling disciples, training disciples.

Brothers and sisters, sometimes, I really don't have time to serve those who insist on seeking my service, because my task is to train my disciples, so that I can send them out to serve more people. They also go out to train their disciples, and send them out to serve more people. You may say: Can it be the same? Can their service be like your service? I just want you to serve me! I also want to serve you very much, but I don't have the physical strength! If all my time is spent on serving, I won't have time to train disciples.

But at the same time, I also serve some people. As long as I take over, I will serve them well, and through these people, I train my disciples. I lead them to do one thing, which is to catch men like fish, how good is this! Peter, Andrew, James, and John were very smart. Why? Because there is one thing that is very certain in their hearts, that is, what hope is there in fishing? I have found that we go to work and get off work, and slowly we get old, and when we get old, we retire, and after a while, we get Alzheimer's disease, and when we get dementia, we get sick, and then we die. While they were fishing, they said that the world has been suffering for a long time, that is, they lamented that people are very hard in labor.

Chen Sheng, who was in the Chen Sheng and Wu Guang Uprising, one day when he was耕地 in the field, he was tired from work, so he said to the people around him: It's really hard! Once someone becomes rich and noble one day, don't forget to help each other! This is very good, but some people said: Look at you, how can you have this fate! Stop talking! Hurry up and plant the land! As a result, Chen Sheng said a sentence: How can a sparrow know the ambition of a swan?! The meaning is that it is difficult for a sparrow to understand the ambition of an eagle. He compared himself to an eagle soaring in the sky. Later, the Chen Sheng and Wu Guang Uprising completely overthrew the Qin Dynasty.

Today, we look at these four people, who are fishing, fishing, fishing, and sighing: the world has been suffering for a long time, if I become rich, I will not forget you! Don't forget me once you get rich, when will our fishing end? There is no hope. We must know that people live in this world, 工作、工作、工作, what people need is a hope. If people have no hope, then catching fish is not exciting enough, and working is not exciting enough! With hope, catching people like fish is exciting enough! Doing pastoral work is exciting enough, it's interesting!

A brother told me: Life is very boring. I said yes, if people go to work and get off work all day long, how boring it must be! Without service, without catching people like fish, how boring life would be! We are fortunate to have the opportunity to become disciples of Jesus Christ, and like Him, preach the gospel of the kingdom, heal all kinds of diseases, and play the game of casting out demons every day!

There was a child who was a good child when he was born. When he was about 3 to 4 years old, he was controlled by a weasel, and a bunch of messy evil spirits entered him. After that, the child began to have convulsions, and the whole person was in a mess. His mother was very anxious. In a blink of an eye, eight years passed, and he met me and my disciples. As a result, I led my disciples to cast out demons for him. The demons were screaming, and after the demons were cast out, the child was much better than before. He couldn't speak clearly before, but now he speaks clearly and can walk.

There was another child who had convulsions, and there was something in his head. He was sent to the hospital for examination, and he also believed the doctor and had surgery, but it was still the same. The mother was very desperate, and later she met us, and we prayed together. A few days ago, she sent a video that the child was helping his mother with housework, and he seemed to be recovering well! We preach a gospel that gives hope. We are doing a business of catching men like fish. Do you think it is better to catch people or to catch fish? Of course, it is better to catch people.

I also encourage all the brothers and sisters among us who are willing, like Peter, Andrew, James, and John, to be able to truly begin to obtain destiny. James and John's father was called Zebedee. He did not say: Son, why did you leave me alone? He didn't say that, he also encouraged them to go, go. If I become rich, I will not forget you! Once you get rich, don't forget that my father supported you in catching people like fish! How good is this! Later, Jesus continued to train his disciples, teaching them hand in hand, so we have today's gospel!

In Matthew chapter 5, chapter 6, chapter 7, and many other chapters, all of them are about Jesus teaching people. I am taking you to study the Gospel of Matthew, isn't this teaching people? I am teaching you how to catch men like fish! Some people don't understand, and they feel that following Jesus, what should they do with the work at hand? For James and Joseph, what about the work at hand? What should they do, let Zebedee do it! We must know that teaching people is very important, and the church must become a place for teaching people. If I don't teach you, you don't know! What do I teach you? I teach you to preach the gospel of the kingdom, heal the sick and cast out demons.

## Preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, Healing All Kinds of Diseases of the People

Matthew wrote very well, he clearly described the whole Gospel of Matthew at once.

**News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them. Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him. (Matthew 4:24-25)**

If you ask me, were there any who were not healed? No, all were healed. Many people came to follow Jesus. Some people asked where the money came from? The Bible doesn't say, this is not a matter, it's a small matter, it's easy to solve, problems that can be solved with money are small matters, these people came to follow Jesus. Think about it, although Matthew chapter 4 briefly wrote about these. What can we see? We see a very condensed picture, this picture is that the gospel is inseparable from healing the sick and casting out demons. If you ask me, is the gospel without healing the sick and casting out demons the gospel? I don't think so, this is not what Jesus did.

Some people ask me, how should we preach the gospel? How Jesus did it, we do it. Many people drew a very complicated picture. After looking at it for a long time, I found that it was not very useful. It is still Matthew chapter 4 that speaks usefully: healing the sick and casting out demons, healing all these people. You say what if I don't heal it? It's easy if you don't heal, just keep practicing. We must know that being like Jesus is a very important thing, if you are not like Jesus, you are wrong. Even if you take this chapter and that chapter to talk to me, for example, speaking in tongues, whether to translate tongues or not, you talked a lot. I ask you, are you like Jesus? Jesus did it like this, but you did it like that, you should forget it. When you come to me, I will pour a pot of cold water on you, forget it.

If we are not like Jesus, we will try hard to be like Jesus, if we still cannot be like Jesus, we will continue to try hard to be like Jesus, God will also have mercy on us and help us. If we are not like Jesus, and we think that we just do it like this, isn't that a matter of life and death? Can you take out Paul's epistles and overturn what Jesus did? Absolutely not! We must become smart! Start to know that preaching the gospel of the kingdom, healing the sick and casting out demons is an inseparable part.

**When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali. (Matthew 4:12-13)**

Jesus heard that John, who paved the way for Him, John the Baptist, had been put in prison. Someone said: Jesus is very capable, he should rescue John from prison, if you are capable, take your disciples, a group of people, take signs to the street to protest, you can go to the government to protest, and rescue John the Baptist. But Jesus didn't do this. This is a very puzzling thing.

Later, John the Baptist sent people to find Jesus. I am in prison, why don't you care about me? Don't you know I am in prison? You know, why don't you react at all? Don't you comfort me? This also makes us feel a little inhumane. What did Jesus come into this world to do? Jesus came into this world to preach the gospel of the kingdom. Jesus sees life and death, imprisonment, as things that are not within our consideration. Is there any problem with being in prison? There is no problem.

A person who serves God's view of things is very important. If you want to be someone who strikes at the devil Satan, you can't want to do everything. Your goal must be very clear, doing one thing today, doing one thing tomorrow, then what is our ultimate goal? What is our purpose in coming into this world? Our purpose in coming into this world is to strike at the dark forces of the devil and the enemy. Jesus Christ doesn't even care about his own death and imprisonment, would He care about John the Baptist? Isn't it normal for John the Baptist to be in prison?

Jesus Christ's thinking is very different from ours. We often look at things from a worldly perspective. Jesus Christ looks at these things in eternity. We feel that John the Baptist's imprisonment is a big deal, but for Jesus Christ, is there a problem with John the Baptist's imprisonment? I came into this world to be a ransom for many. In the time of the Apostle Paul, the Apostle Paul said that I want to make up for the deficiencies in the tribulations of Jesus Christ. That is to say, if we come into this world to fight with the devil and the enemy, is there a problem with paying a price, shedding some blood, and sacrificing a little? There is no problem at all!

It is one thing for us to gain the ability to heal the sick and cast out demons, but if we have a determination to give our lives for Jesus Christ, that is the key to victory. We have finally come into this world, can we be a victorious person in this life? Do we really care about life in this world? We don't care! We have already put life and death out of our minds, and put imprisonment and non-imprisonment out of our minds. Nothing can disturb us, nothing can distract us. Nothing can stop us from preaching the gospel of the kingdom. If you have such a heart, you can overcome the devil Satan!

## Summary

The first is that the service of Jesus Christ gives hope; the second is to preach the gospel of repentance, you must repent; then for those who have not repented, did Jesus heal them? In fact, many were healed. At first, people didn't know much about repentance, but God had mercy on them. Many of us are healed without repentance, as for the problems that come back later, this is his own business, he brought it back himself. So giving hope, preaching the gospel of repentance, calling disciples, catching men like fish, teaching people, healing the sick and casting out demons, healing all kinds of diseases, how good is this! May God make you catch men like fish, what a wonderful life it is to catch people!
