- Today's Topic: To be Carnally Minded is Not Love!
1:1 Parents who indulge their children's carnal desires bring about their corruption.
1:2 The key to building the church lies in breaking down the evil desires of the flesh.
2. Scripture: Romans 8:5-6
Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

4. Circumcision is to cut off the evil desires of the flesh (Genesis 17:9-14).
4:1 Circumcision is the removal of the things of the flesh, so that we may enter the Kingdom of God.

5:1 Life and death, blessings and curses, all depend on a person's choice.
5:2 Even a person who is under bondage still has the right to choose.

5:4 If our hearts and minds are filled with the Kingdom of God, then that is the right choice.
5:5 Make a covenant with God, define how to deal with your evil desires, and enter into God's covenant.
6. Whatever you choose, that is the result that life will produce
6:1 A right choice is not to be carnally minded.
5:6 The Key to Shepherding:
a. Deal with evil desires
b. Remove the bondage of evil spirits
c. Equip with the Word of God
d. Live out God's prosperity
7. Pastors must have the heart of a father and mother, and not indulge the flesh!
7:1 A pastor must serve with the heart of a father and a mother.
7:2 Learn to emulate and pass on the legacy.
8. Disciplining children is the responsibility of parents!
8:1 Disciplining children is the responsibility of parents and pastors.
8:2 Those who can be disciplined are the real children; those who cannot be disciplined are adopted.
8:3 Discipline is the essence of the relationship.
9. Recognize the corrupt nature of indulging the flesh
9:1 Indulging the corruption of the flesh brings the control of evil spirits.
9:2 The flesh contends with the Holy Spirit, not evil spirits contending with the Holy Spirit.
9:3 Gentleness, without compromise; love, without indulging the flesh. This is what it means to be godly.
9:5 Those who are carnal directly enter into evil spirits.
9:6 In ministry, one must not only drive out the evil spirits from the other person but also deal with the carnal nature.
10. The victorious good news - obey the Holy Spirit, rely on the Holy Spirit, and put to death the evil deeds of the body
10:1 Speaking in tongues is dealing with our carnal nature.
10:2 Nothing can separate us from the love of God.
10:3 Through Him who loved us, we are more than conquerors.
11. Conclusion: Indulge the flesh, or indulge the Holy Spirit?
11:1 The Holy Spirit is:
a. Acting according to the word of God.
b. The sorrow of the Holy Spirit is communicated to us, so that we know we have gone astray.
11:2 Pastors must not mistake indulging the flesh for love.
11:3 Building a church is building a church that considers the Holy Spirit and enters into the covenant of God.
