【Conduct and Work】"Working Principles" 02: Grasp the Methods of Doing Things

2024-08-09 1,160 Y135 Course - Conduct

Alright, folks, today we're picking up where we left off with the second lecture in Getting Things Done, focusing on grasping the methods for accomplishing tasks. This second lecture is titled Grasping the Methods for Getting Things Done. Why am I repeating it, you ask? Because it is paramount. You must understand that there isn't a significant difference in people's IQs, but there is a substantial difference in character. Some folks simply cannot manage themselves, and before even discovering a method, they declare, I can't do it, my IQ isn't high enough. But that's not the case, the method is simply incorrect. In other words, this situation of using the wrong method is a ubiquitous phenomenon.

Even now, I am continuously proving one thing: your IQ is not the issue. So where does your problem lie? It lies in giving up before finding the right method. I do not give up before finding the method; I persist until I discover the way to get things done. That is the key distinction.

I. Being Reliable in Getting Things Done

We often talk about being reliable, isn't it so? Have you heard it? Ah, this person is unreliable, that person is unreliable. No one says, This person's IQ is unreliable, they always say, This person is unreliable. Why? Because they are unreliable in their work. What does it mean to be unreliable? For example, when I sing, if I cannot hit the notes, if I am off-key, then my singing is unreliable; it's out of tune. So, what is the 譜 (pǔ, musical score or standard)? The 譜 is a method. Everyone should ponder this; perhaps my definition may have some slight discrepancies, but generally, it should not deviate too much.

Recently, I ministered to a sister who had not been attending the church for very long. Her children needed to take an exam to become teachers. She is a mathematics scholar, and she drew a lot, requiring her to teach 15 minutes of law. I saw her spreading legal materials all over the place, frantically searching. The method was wrong. So, I ask you, what were they testing her on?

Did they know she was a mathematics teacher? Of course, they knew. Did they know she did not understand the law? Of course, they knew. If they were testing her knowledge of the law, wouldn't that be absurd? This is what we call being unreliable in getting things done. So, does everyone realize what they were testing? They were testing her teaching method, her classroom management, these qualities. Once you know what is being tested, you have a direction, isn't it so? This is the key.

I had an employee who brought me a hundred pages of data. Each page was an Excel spreadsheet, making my head spin. I asked him, Why did you print all of this out? If you show it to me on paper, what can I possibly discern? Isn't it so? These printed Excel sheets puzzled me; wouldn't that be a waste of paper?

He said, This is the data you wanted. I asked, Is this data correct? He said he did not know. Then why bring it to me? In other words, how can you even tell if this matter is right or wrong? Let me tell you, I'm viewed as a somewhat nitpicky boss, but I don't set out to harm people. When you bring these things to me, I can tell at a glance that you are trying to fool me. What do you think I do all day? You come to con me, not even knowing yourself what is right or wrong, and you expect me to look at it? Am I your secretary?

So, how should he have answered? He should have said this: Boss, this data is correct. I would ask, How is it correct? He would say, Firstly, this is the original data. Then, I used this method and that method to derive it. Later, I added horizontal and vertical lists and did some statistics, and the statistics matched. That is the ‘譜’ (pǔ, standard) and the method. If the method is wrong, everything is ruined. Can you clearly explain your method? If your method is off, it sounds unreliable. So, this matter is very interesting.

Why are you failing? Not because your IQ is deficient, but because you give up before finding the correct method. You lack character, lack conviction. Isn't that so? How do you know what you are doing is right? I am doing what is reliable; how could it be wrong? If there is an error, it should not be a conceptual error but perhaps a minor oversight in some detail, but overall it should not be a problem.

Let me give you an example: How do I ensure that a line I draw on the wall is level? Everyone, tell me? I use a laser level, unless the laser level itself is faulty, then the line may not be level. After using the laser level, I then take a bubble level and double-check. And it confirms, indeed, that the laser level has produced a perfectly horizontal line. Then it can be used correctly, right? If you put up a suspended ceiling that is skewed, it will look twisted and be unusable, isn't it so? Because I used a laser level, people won't question it, right? So, mastering the method is very important. Everyone must realize that if mastering the method is not important, then we face problems.

Are there issues with IQ here? Not really, there are some people whose IQs aren’t that high. They are not very good at brain teasers, but they are reliable in their work. What is their reliance based on? It is based on how they approach the task, and how they perform it. Isn't that so? Now, I will divide this reliability into a few categories. Of course, this only relates to getting things done. Things you do can be divided into several categories. First, tools. Second, materials. Third, processes. Fourth, skills. Has everyone written that down? All right, I will repeat it once more: Tools, Materials, Processes, Skills.

For example, what is Excel? It's a tool; it is a tool for organizing data. What is a database? It is a tool; it is a tool for organizing data, right? What are materials? Of course, tools also include trowels for plastering, and other things, including artificial intelligence, such as GPUs. Without these tools, you cannot do the work. Without these tools, discussing methods is futile. Imagine I say, “I want you to drill a hole in the wall”, many years ago, many of us were nerds.

How does a nerd approach this? I say, Hang this painting on the wall, hang this mirror. They grab a power drill, drill and drill, covered in sweat, and after two hours, there's still no hole in the wall. I ask, What are you doing? She says, I am drilling a hole. Two hours and that's all you have? I take a look, she’s using a drill bit intended for wood on a wall? That's impossible to drill through. Using a wood drill bit to drill through a wall is not feasible; the tool is wrong. Once you see that the tool is incorrect, there’s nothing to discuss, right? You could drill until you create fire, and you still won't make a hole by next year. This is because the tool is wrong, isn't it so?

If I want to draw a horizontal line, and you have no tools, are you going to trust your eyes? If you rely only on your eyes, will they suffice? You think it is straight, but then you measure and realize it’s crooked. That certainly will not do. Regarding the material, can you explain what material it truly is? Without materials, what can you achieve? To complete a task, don't you need materials? Including, yes, even writing requires material; it needs to have substance.

Regarding materials, what are they used for at the end of the day? For example, if you want to hang a mirror on the wall, what do you need? Oh, I need a power drill and an impact drill. But what if the wall is constructed from plasterboard? Plasterboard cannot support a mirror. How can a mirror be hung on plasterboard? In that case, you need to have wood behind it to reinforce it so that it is able to be hung. Tools, materials, and methods include these aspects.

Once you have the tools and materials, you then have the process. The process is how I operate. You have to make sure that the entire flow is performed correctly. Then, there is skill. What is skill? How do I use a laser measurer? How do I use a line that is drawn? How do I draw the line? Then how do I drill a hole, how do I find its location, how do I take the expansion screw or some kind of tool and implement it; that is what skill means, to grasp the steps involved.

Once the tools are correct, the materials are correct, the process is correct, and the skills are correct, making a mistake is quite difficult. Therefore, getting things done should be done reliably. Now, if someone or I ask you, is what you’re doing correct? If you reply, “How else could you do it?” that is called arguing. If you say, Teacher, what I am saying is correct, you say, What I am doing is correct, why? I explain that I use this tool first, I use that material, I use that process, then I use a specific skill; that all adds up to a result that is undeniably correct. Isn't that so?

A long time ago, I had a bit of understanding of these things. You want me to talk about getting things done, because I am someone who gets things done. Once, I bought a new car, and I preferred the color white. But after two months, the white paint on the car started to look not so good. No matter how much I wiped, I could not get rid of the marks. I wondered what kind of paint it was and thought that it was very unfortunate. So, I went to the vendor and informed them that there was an issue with the paint. Then, a worker, a Bengal worker, took a small unlabeled can of something that was like the color of milk. He poured it on a rag and rubbed it on the car, and it was suddenly clean and glossy right away.

I asked, What is this? This is material, and the rag is the material. The process is simple, and wiping doesn't involve skill. Do you understand? I asked him, How much does it cost for you to clean this car? He said, Eighty Singapore dollars. Oh, my gosh, five eights are forty, four hundred RMB just to wipe. I saw that he finished wiping in fifteen minutes and that it was not worth my money to give him four hundred RMB. Why don’t I save four hundred RMB by working fifteen minutes to wipe? I said, I have to have a taste of the flavor.” They intentionally do not put up the trademark, as this is a trade secret.

Later, I independently looked for something. Could I give 400 RMB? I have to find a white, milk-colored object. Finally, I was able to find one in the supermarket, at 1.5 rmb. This one can wash 10 cars, I promise… Look it up on淘宝, you will surely find the exact same one. Do you know what? I can do 80 something (RMB) with 10 minutes, instead of paying the equivalent 400 (RMB)…

What is the meaning of this? What I want to convey is the concept that the method is important. Truly, many things are a very thin paper between us. If you go to the supermarket to buy the detergent, you will find the one of yellow color, long and thin, and shaped a little like shampoo. It looks like the white colored milk detergent that they used to wipe the car, that’s all. Everyone is so interested in the topic, I just gave a general example. Let me ask you, am I fast at cleaning the bathroom? I am very fast. Am I fast at cleaning a car? Of course, I am fast, with this material!

II. Learning From Others How to Get Things Done

In getting things done, we must learn from others; do not start from scratch. Walk on the shoulders of others. Do not think that the establishment of my church or my invention of Chinese Mingding Doctrine fell from the sky. People have already made a lot of accumulations, and then it was my turn to do it. I keep abstracting and summarizing people's things.

First, we must learn from Paul, right? We must first learn from how Jesus did things, right? I cannot write my own Bible; what would that make me? If I make up a cross-method, then there is trouble right? That is not easy to apply, it’s not in harmony with the Tao! It must be learning from others. Therefore, this learning from others requires observation.

Why do I enjoy getting my hands dirty? Let me tell you, when I was young, when my dad was working, I was outside. It was quite cold in winter, and my dad was on the roof, and I was below handing him tools. I generally would not hand my dad the wrong tool. When my dad needed a hammer, before he even said hammer, I would already be holding up the hammer. This kind of tacit understanding, wouldn't you say it is very pleasing? It is definitely pleasing.

If someone wants a hammer, and you hand them scissors; if someone wants scissors, and you hand them a hammer, wouldn't that be extremely annoying? Sometimes when someone asks for something, it takes forever to find it, while the person on the roof is waiting, and that is upsetting, isn't it? I observed how my dad did things. Oh, he does this, he does that. At this moment, you need to use this, the nails are held there, isn't there a hammer? It's clear to see. So, when I do it, wouldn't I have learned? Right? How my dad did it, that's how I do it.

Once, I'll tell you something interesting. The house we lived in, one wall, I asked a sister to sand it. I just wanted her to learn. But good heavens, a few months later, I came back and saw that the wall had been sanded down one centimeter thick! How long would it take to sand it that thick? That wall was practically a work of art; it had truly become an art wall. I said, How did you sand the wall like this? She said, I took a small shovel and smoothed it little by little, smoothed it little by little. Oh, my gosh, smoothing it layer by layer, how much effort did she put in! Oh, my heaven, she smoothed a wall to resemble an Iraqi style wall.

Do you know the outcome? Did you observe how others rectified the situation? She replied in the negative. I suggested we review it together. She noted that the master craftsman, being skilled, utilized a large trowel, whereas she, lacking such expertise, could only employ a small one. I questioned whether a small trowel could achieve a smooth finish, given that even a large trowel requires skill. She devised her own method, which is untenable. Is that not so? It would invariably fail. Therefore, everything must be learned from others.

Find the videos, have you seen them? Take my lecturing, I too must read the materials, is it not? How can one lecture without reading? These past years, I have learned from others, all gleaned from others. I watched the carpenters at work; I observed the electricians. Is that not so? Observe how two wires are connected, twisted at least five times. A search online reveals the proper method of wire splicing. I inquired why this method was employed. The master electrician explained that it prevents breakage when pulled. Try pulling it; it will not break, virtually impossible to sever. Ah, that is the rationale.

When writing code, must you not learn from others? Is that not so? Can you invent it yourself? Your self-invented code will surely fail to run. Consequently, everything is learned. Those around me have a unique advantage: they observe my extensive labor. I undertake much work. They then suggest: Pastor, let’s dismantle that. I inquire of their purpose: To create work, to tinker.

If you seek to innovate, there is much to do, endless possibilities. Many areas require improvement. Thus, whether one writes code, plasters walls, saws boards, decorates, or manages an enterprise, the principle remains the same. Establishing a church is imitation, all learned from others. Can you claim to have invented a word in listening, speaking, reading, or writing? None. All are learned from others.

In matters like these, my eyes are sharp, though my mind may not be as quick. Brain teasers are beyond me. I cannot solve them. However, in practical labor, few can surpass me. I am reliable.

My mother dedicated her life to what is known as mian an. Not the er as in second, but the an as in case. Northeasterners call it mian an. What does it mean? Work related to dough—making dumplings, buns, noodles, cakes, all of it. When my mother made dumplings, I observed intently, unbeknownst to her. When I attempted it myself, I quickly grasped it. I now understand; it is like this. Have I not learned it? Is that not so? This is method, not intelligence.

If one observes the methods of others daily, what could prevent you from mastering it? Consider our brethren and sisters. Observe my work. After I complete it, they invariably alter it. That is truly perverse. For example, if I undertake a project, I always have a construction plan, not devising it on the spot, considering the size of the board, the dimensions of the stage.

I tell you, sawing a hundred boards will leave your head buzzing. One loses track of which board is which. Without marking them, you will never find the right one. Planning, a construction plan, a solution is essential. That board and its details are essential. If not, others will inevitably err. It is almost impossible not to err.

Finally, I am struck by why people are unwilling to learn from others, always seeking to innovate. If you tried to invent words when studying, you would surely misspell them. Is it not so? Consider writing. Must you not write using the elements of others? In mathematics, must you not follow the rules of mathematics? Is that not so?

Therefore, in this process, one learns much. Growth brings joy. You slowly imitate, you learn. Stagnation brings disquiet. You kneel and pray for seven hours, then repeat it the next day. Try doing nothing; what can you achieve?

I once encountered a preacher whose son told me that the preachers his mother brought along were socially disabled. Unable to buy plane tickets, use cell phones, or make calls, yet they could pray and speak in tongues. His son disapproved, seeing them as socially crippled, inept at everything. A dire situation. If one becomes a Christian like that, does it resemble Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob? Is that not so? Does it not become a handicap?

To accomplish something, one must learn from others. What is a person who cannot learn? Everything is learned: cleaning, household chores. Is that not so? Is there anything that does not require learning? Everything requires learning. I dare say, few can surpass my skill in household chores. I am fast and thorough. Why? Because I have mastered the methods, found better tools, better methods, better techniques, and better materials. In cleaning, for example, finding good materials speeds up the process. Of course, it does. I lament that those who fail to learn from others and immediately innovate are merely creating social cripples.

Three, Summarizing Experience From Mistakes

Having imitated and observed the methods, practice at home often yields different results. What then? Either we have not fully understood the method, requiring reconsideration and reflection, or the specific detail is incorrect. In fact, there are numerous areas where things can go wrong. To execute something correctly, such as an aircraft's ability to fly, all aspects must be correct. Failure in any area will prevent flight. Is that not so? An autonomous vehicle requires every aspect to be correct; otherwise, it will fail.

Do you comprehend? One might transport someone to a space laboratory, but failing to retrieve them would turn them into a mummy. Every task must be done correctly for success; hence, there are many potential errors. For example, when writing code, numerous errors arise initially. Resolving one issue often reveals further problems. Why? Because numerous issues are intertwined. Resolving one might bring elation, thinking one has found the root cause, only to discover another issue. This requires continuous searching and resolving.

In this process, experience is gained through errors. How do you know what you're doing is right? Through this process, streams of sweat and tears are shed, how can we not know? It is through these stumbles and falls that you learn! The Chinese Mingding Doctrine has reached its current state by stumbling and falling over, correcting countless vague errors.

Previously, we thought loud prayer was powerful. Is that correct? We then discovered that it was not. If your audio is too loud, and you pray with a microphone, it is quite powerful, but what happens when the property management arrives? Is it not disturbing the peace? You feel good, but others do not. This is continuous experience gained from errors, continuous adjustments, this is a closed loop.

Am I doing it right? This is what a closed loop means. How do I know I am doing it right? The results are out, I have solved so many problems just to make a closed loop. Then, if you say you are not solving these, how can you make it correct? Is that not so? Let us talk about healing and deliverance. How do you know you are doing it correctly? I first imitated Jesus. At first, the imitation was not very good. I frequently tell you that Jesus touched someone, and they were healed. When I touched them, they were healed. What do I do? Jesus healed someone with a touch. If I touch someone once and they are not healed, I touch them a hundred times. If a hundred times does not work, I touch them ten thousand times. It must be wrong, is it not?

Later, what did you find? The foundation of healing are in establishing the church with victories. That is the simple truth. Establish the church with victories because it is a spiritual war. Countless struggles, eating that bitterness, tears can be bottled in the mineral water bottle, just tossing. Continuous experience gained from errors, do not feel that without this, how can it be done? With it like this, what if you do wrong? It is like this!

Have I not told you before? If you make a car that does not run, that is how it is! If you build a plane that does not fly, that is how it is! If you build a church that cannot cast out demons, that is how it is! If you build a church that is not like Jesus, that is a bit like Buddha Sakyamuni! Is that the Lord? He is also a lord, he is the Buddha. Lamento, we do it wrong too much. Corrected them one by one, correcting until now, this is called belief. God will let me do it right. I am not saying Oh, I did it wrong; God, please kill me. God will not kill me; if God will kill me, we shall game over. He did not kill me, look, oh, yet to kill me. Continue to fix it right. I tell you, God likes this.

Take a closer look; everyone that I strongly scold, I feel under the weather. I have to scold them. So, what is the reason for scolding? It is to have them learn one thing: am I doing it right? Is it not solved just now? I am not doing it right? Is it not very hard to learn how to do it? Many people do not know that, it is like that, I want to do it. So what? How? How I did it. How are you? I graduated from college.

My mom, after words, I discovered, many people who have graduated from college and are writing, that is really hard work. I write little, that is hard work, too. If you want to write clearly, that is hard work to do. I am telling you; what I write, at the beginning, is similar to what you are writing, just a mismatch. Then, they get stirred together. Why? The brain is not good and has not been trained. Then what, have to learn. Learn like you have pissed your pants, very painful. Did not learn well during school. Many of our education systems, the people that are educated, cannot write well.

Continuous adjustments are made from mistakes. This is called a closed loop, and it will be corrected. Is it not so? From the mistakes, a closed loop is made until getting it right. Then you know what? You know the right ways when you do it right, you know that you did it wrong when you did it wrong, results grasp the essence of the thing. Grabbed the essence of the thing, surely you have the feel for it. Feelings come out and you rejoice, rejoice in labor. Is that not so? When working together, you seem happy. There is progress. But the thing that brings the most joy is the thing, it is finally fixed up, is it not? You imitate others, so the likelihood of imitating wrongly is very high.

Four, Looking for the better ways after doing the right way

Teacher, are you telling me this is not rustic? That is right. It is very simple. Do you see how much I have said, like to do the correct thing, right? Doing the correct thing, is the method, is it not so? Doing things the correct way is learning from other people. You tell me, how hard it is? Learning it with others, you will see yourself, finished, get back and they are not like the people. Fill dumplings, just a filling outside, just like Marco Polo, takes Chinese fillings/pies, arrived in the West and makes pizza. Pizza, filling on the outer, can not fill it in, is it not?

Continuous adjustments are made from mistakes. Then, better finding a better style. The things that I teach easily, even the elderly can understand, truly can understand.

Doing it right you can seek the better method. You are the tools in updating, materials updating, technology continuously fixing. If you go back 20 years or 30 years, there were not good tools? There were not good tools, so calling cost energy.

Is it not the case that one of our sisters sent her child abroad to study, even though the family was not wealthy? She would sing at home all day, There's always a rainbow after the storm, while shedding tears. Later, both mother and daughter came to believe in the Lord, that there is always a rainbow after the storm. So, after summarizing and summarizing, what did they conclude? To trust in God, which is a manifestation of practicing faith.

However, when we do things, we need to constantly adjust, discarding the incorrect things in our hearts and absorbing the correct ones. In reality, believing in the Lord is the same. I tell you that even recently I am still growing. Recently, I discovered that praying more does not lead to losses. Some people get up at seven or eight in the morning to go to work, and return home at seven, eight, nine, or ten at night.

What are they busy with? It is impossible to have good results. If one cannot finish a task in ten hours, or twelve hours, or sixteen hours, then simply do not sleep and work for twenty-four hours. Before long, he will not have to do it anymore, isn't that so? Is that right? No, it is not, is it?

I tell you, reading the Bible cannot waste time, and neither can prayer. Even if it does, it is not a big deal. Isn't that so? You slowly ponder it. You will find that spending this time does not delay anything. What does it delay? It delays those disasters, delays getting sick, delays those troubles. Isn't that so? Who is not delayed?

I think that even if we do things correctly, we must still seek better methods. So what to do? I used to take an hour to complete this task, but now I can complete it in half an hour. Does this satisfy me? After some time, I may be able to complete it in ten minutes, and after some more time, maybe five minutes, and then perhaps ten seconds. Do you lack time? It is impossible to lack time. Therefore, doing things right is still no excuse not to seek better methods.

There is no best method in this world, only better methods. There is this saying, right? There is no best in this world, only better. You will never be the best, but you will always become better. How good this reasoning sounds. The current you is better than yesterday, and tomorrow will be better than today. Why? Because you are constantly looking for better methods.

Including the way of living, what kind of way of living, isn't it? That kind of way of living is very hard. So, in this process, some people like to do things because at this time they begin to innovate, have ideas, explore, and constantly seek. In this process, you will constantly summarize, constantly abstract, constantly induce, constantly organize, and then you will summarize the laws of things.

Is this not the path of our Chinese Mingding Doctrine? Isn't that so? I used to believe in the Lord in a local church, and I was learning from others. After learning, I slowly adjusted the places where I found that something was wrong. After the adjustments were completed, I did things correctly and now I am looking for better ways. Isn't it better now than last year? Have you noticed that my preaching and Bible study are becoming more and more precise? Some time ago, we upgraded the 101 Course to be better.

Some people say, Teacher, is there still the old version of the 101 Course? The old version, some people think it is good, but it is actually bad. It depends on which perspective you are speaking from, isn't that so? It is not that the new version is more difficult to understand than the original. The new version of the 101 Course, which is now being used, is the second version. If you have studied 101 before, it is normal for you to study it again now. The new version's content answers more precisely. What do we see? It is the angle from which we look. You look at it from the perspective of being easy to absorb, because there are still some misconceptions in it, and people like it that way.

However, I tell you that from the perspective of building a church, the new version of the 101 Course is definitely better. I just like to do things, constantly adjust, and constantly innovate. It took me three months to write the 101 Course before, which made me feel uncomfortable. Later, I wrote the 201 Course for six months, and I felt that something was wrong and awkward to look at. Later, I constantly adjusted and constantly adjusted. Next, I may spend time doing a new version of the 201 Course, a discipleship course. The 101 Course is for believers, for those who go from unbelief to belief, to talk about what it means to believe in the Lord. The 201 Course is for those who believe in the Lord to become disciples, to talk about the process of becoming disciples.

I think writing the 201 Course took half a year, and this time the upgraded version may take less time, constantly abstracting, summarizing, inducing, and organizing. This is because you have risen to a certain height, isn't it? Some people say, teacher, I have already done these things.

Five, not only know how to do, but also know how to teach

I tell you, knowing how to do and knowing how to teach are two completely different things. If you know how to do it, you may not know how to teach it. I have seen many carpenters who cannot explain clearly. When they come to me, I will explain it to you clearly. Therefore, we must not only know how to do it, but also know how to teach it. Yesterday, I communicated with a brother who does sales. I said, you have to write a sales course, how to understand and how to explore the decision-making mechanisms inside, and then how to communicate with people at which level. For complex sales, you have to do it from top to bottom. When it is written into a course, he finds that he cannot do it, and it is hard work.

If you are willing to participate in this project, let's do it together, and I will personally participate in it. Knowing how to do it is one thing, but knowing how to teach it is a higher level. If you do not master the laws of things, then you will be even more troubled. Isn't that so? Sales is just moving the upper lip and the lower lip, and if people buy it, you are amazing. But teaching others how to do sales is definitely not something that ordinary people can do.

It would be great if you can do it. Why? Because this brother of ours is in his 50s, what should he do when he retires at the age of 60? He needs to re-sort out and summarize these experiences. After summarizing, in this generation, this world needs people who can explain these things clearly and do training. Isn't that so? This thing is called abstraction, summarization, induction, organization, finding the laws in it, and being able to infer other things from one instance.

So what I mean is that progress is endless. Have you seen me? Actually, I am not talking about others, but about myself. That is how I have come here. What I do is that after I have done something quite skillfully, I will summarize it to a level that I can explain to others. So later, I said that training can replace management.

Using training to replace management, you are responsible for this, you are responsible for that, go down and do it. So what does this mean? You should do this thing this way, you should do that thing that way. Although the scope of my management is not large, as long as I am responsible for it, I will do it to the best of my ability. Because I not only know how to do it, but I also know how to teach it. Is this the end? No! Progress is endless.

Of the seventy-two trades, every trade has its top person, but not every trade produces a top person. You slowly go and do it, and it is enough to produce a top person in one trade. But if you can produce top people in several industries, that is also normal. Every industry has its top person. If you do things like me, will you have time? I tell you, you will always be a master at doing things, you will waste less time, and you will do more things in the same amount of time.

So you see, how well I teach. If you do as I say, it will be amazing. Some time ago, a teacher challenged me and said, Teacher, if you were a language teacher like me, what would you do? This is not difficult for me. I said, if I taught language, I would elevate myself to the level of a professor who can supervise doctoral students, and become an expert in this industry. For example, Yi Zhongtian, his research on language is very thorough. When you read what he writes, The Story of Dialects, he writes very well about these different accents. He summarized the content of the dialects very well, and the things about the different accents were summarized very clearly.

Of course, I flipped through it when I was reading idle books, and I found that his research was very in-depth. Isn't that so? People have written The Story of Dialects. History of China, people have their own set of views. That is to say, today, this teacher, if we just stay at this level, being a language teacher, reading the textbook once a year, what is the point? You cannot like being a language teacher.

If you do things like me, he will definitely like it. Then someone said, what if you do it like this? Actually, I have another method, I teach language now, and I have thoroughly understood language and Chinese. Teaching high school and junior high school is definitely no problem, as long as you listen to my class, you will definitely do well in the exam. After teaching language, how about my entire English? Can I teach English? Start horizontal expansion.

That is to say, our growth is endless, you must not only know how to do it but also know how to teach it, that is the key. So what happens if you know how to teach? Then the boss promotes you to the position of a department head, isn't that so? You manage the entire teacher, you will not only teach students, but you also have to teach teachers, isn't that so? You can teach people how to master this learning method and how to do classroom management.

The space for development is huge. Then you always feel that you are not doing enough. Why? Actually, it is really not doing enough. If you feel that you are doing well every day, then it is bad. You are definitely not a good teacher, isn't that so? You are definitely not a good teacher, so you just muddle along, day after day.

I think that if a person rejoices in his labor, it means that he has mastered the method and is happy because he has grasped the method of doing things. If you cannot grasp the method of doing things, everything you do will be a mess, and the results you produce will be unsatisfactory. Isn't that so? Can everyone grasp these words? But the things described are quite vivid. After you finish something and are not satisfied with the results, you will end up looking like you are out of shape .It is impossible for him to enjoy it. How can he enjoy it?

In the future, if you manage, there will be more management knowledge. I am very touched. How long has this person been stagnating? How long have our brothers and sisters been stagnating?

After learning something, they always feel that they have learned it. However, when they are actually asked to do it, they are completely incapable. Just now, a sister came to me and said, Teacher, do you know that when I used to listen to you talk about Genesis, I thought it was like this and like that. However, one time I read the original text of Genesis and after I read it, I tried to write it myself, and I found that I actually couldn't do it. Then she looked at what I had written and was amazed at how I had grasped the key points.

This sister used to think she understood, but that was not the reality. Why? Because she had been learning and learning, but she had never really learned anything, like a leaky sieve. She would try and gain admission to university without success. Every year she would try to sit for the national examinations and every year her scores would decline continuously. Eventually even her son gained admission, while she was still taking the exams. Is it not true that she felt she was learning sufficiently and because of this, she ended up that way.

I find myself deeply moved. It is as if you think you comprehend, but in actuality, you do not. Only when you truly begin to educate others will you discover your lack of understanding. Some individuals even boast, Teacher, if you utter the first sentence, I will know the subsequent one. Upon witnessing such arrogance, do you not wonder whether I might be compelled to feel antipathy towards them? Indeed, it seems akin to provoking me to dislike them. Nevertheless, I sincerely hope that my brethren and sisters can extricate themselves from such circumstances.

If you only know the superficial, you cannot enjoy it. You may know a little bit that is OK and sufficient for your earnings. But if you want to do things right, to enjoy yourself, to grasp the methods of doing things, that is far away.

Alright, we will talk about it here, I want to make a summary. I really hope that everyone can grasp the method of doing things, no matter what you are doing, whether it is doing live broadcasts, being an anchor, selling an agricultural product, every industry is very deep, and learning is endless. May God lead everyone to become people who can grasp the method of doing things, to become people who can enjoy work, and work itself is a kind of grace.

May God bless everyone!
