【Conduct and Action】《On Conduct》06: Dispelling the Myth of Having No Time

2024-07-19 1,028 Y135 Course - Conduct The Enigma of Time Time Management Urgent Matters Important Matters Grasping the Essence Simplifying Tasks

Introduction

Good morning everyone. Today, we will continue with the topic of conduct, of being a person. This is a very significant subject. If one does not know how to conduct oneself, I ask, what does it look like when they don't? My goodness! Looking like a deformed fruit, acting arbitrarily. Heavens above! Straining and struggling to accomplish something, then being constantly busy. Can they not be busy? Seeking a partner, going through a hundred, yet not a single one leads to a relationship. Dating a hundred, yet none result in marriage. Can you say they are not busy? They have no results! Is that not so? So, exhausting oneself yields no fruit! I truly believe that conduct requires learning. Some are better off not being busy, but when they are, they lose a lot of money, and then they continue to be busy paying it back. This lifetime, my goodness! It's disheartening to even look at. Do you all have this feeling? I don't know if you have this feeling. After ministering to many, I must teach everyone how to conduct themselves! What everyone refers to as learning to be a person. It's like, I speak, but you listen, and you do things your way, insisting on conducting yourself in a certain manner. Well, then, so be it!

I. Everyone Has the Same Amount of Time

Do you know that? Look at your watches, align them. Today it is 8:04 PM. After ten minutes, look at your watch, and I'll look at mine. If I see it's 8:10, and yours is also 8:10, but when it's 8:20, mine is still 8:10, and yours is 8:20, it's not that time is wrong, it's that my watch is broken. So, everyone has the same amount of time, did you know that? You knew that! Then what did you do with your time? What you did with it is different, isn't it? So, one's lifetime must prove that God created something very fair, and this very fair thing is called time. You were born naked, right? Then open your mouth to see if there's a silver spoon. Actually, even children from wealthy families are not born with silver spoons in their mouths, are they? It's just that their families have a silver spoon to feed them with, but they are also born naked; no one is wearing clothes. So, everyone's starting point is very low at the beginning, and then what remains is what determines. Some people spend time crying the moment they are born. Others, the moment they are born, start looking at their mothers and fathers, and then, Mommy, Daddy, are you hungry? After saying it for a while, they learn, I'm hungry. They understand hunger. What is hunger? We can't quite explain it either.

So, children start learning from birth, and suddenly time reaches their twenties, thirties, and what they learn is very different. Some people find a job and end up at Douyin (TikTok). There's a young man in Singapore, not very old, who seems to earn seven hundred million a year. Some earn seventy million a year, some seven million a year, roughly like that. Some lose tens of thousands, and some lose seven hundred thousand. So, time is all the same; God created it all very interestingly. The question is, what do we do with our time? Today, we must solve this myth. You say you have no time. How could you possibly have no time? God gives everyone the exact same amount of time. Time is a very good resource. When you were born, you had nothing but time, so when you get older, you see what you did with that time?

II. No Time is a Myth

It's a lie. I understand if you have no money, but I cannot understand if you have no time. No time? How could everyone possibly have no time? Does God give you the same time? Is the time God gives you the same or not? It's the same! Look at your watches, look at your watches, it's 8:15. So, no time is a lie. Then where did your time go? Let me tell you, some people's learning methods are wrong, and their working methods are also wrong, leaving them exhausted. My goodness! Then they are sleepy but don't sleep; they stay up, persist, persist, persist. I have ministered to several like this; their efficiency is actually zero. Luckily, they didn't do anything, because if they did something, they would do it wrong, because how could they do it right when they are dizzy? If you are dizzy, and you invest, it's over; you'll get scammed. Because you didn't sleep well last night, you're dizzy today. So, when people are sleepy, they should sleep well. Many people say, Pastor, I can't sleep, I can't. If you don't sleep, I say, Are you sleepy? Yes, I'm sleepy. Then if you're sleepy and don't sleep, what are you going to do? I want to persist. Many people are like that. I say they are dizzy; what can they do? They can't do anything; they should just sleep! I comfort them; I say, Go to sleep. I can't. If I sleep, I'll condemn myself. Goodness! After finally resting, they have energy again. Where does that energy go? It's used to condemn themselves. My goodness! What a joke! Anyway, when I'm sleepy, I sleep. I can't do anything if I don't sleep. Suppose we are giving this lesson at 8:10, and I'm sleepy at 6:00. I'll sleep. I can't persist; I'm not as good as you at persisting; you are very powerful; I can't persist; I need to sleep. I wake up at 7:00 and think it's dark; I say the sky hasn't fallen! At most, it's 8:00; the sky hasn't fallen.

I'm giving a talk today on Removing the Myth of Not Having Time. Do I not know this? I prepared long ago; I don't need to prepare at night. Why? Because I don't have this myth of time; I sleep when I should sleep. Being busy, you mess things up as soon as you do them; you're busy enough, and then you have to fix your mistakes. So, today, brothers and sisters, don't learn that way of doing things—not sleeping. Your brain is not very good to begin with, and if it's even dizzier, it'll be even less useful. So, sometimes when I'm preaching, back when it was a physical church, I would see someone underneath who wanted to sleep but didn't dare to; they had to sleep even if they didn't dare to; they were so sleepy, their heads would drop down and then they would prop them up again. It's like some people who lie down and then sit up, lie down and then get up; doing sit-ups all day long. It's hard work. I would turn off the microphone on the stage, or else people would hear it online because it was being recorded, and I would say, If you want to sleep, there's a sofa in the back; go there and sleep well.

Why? Because I don't really need people to listen to my sermons; that stuff has no dignity or lack thereof. If you're sleepy, Pastor, I get sleepy when I listen to your sermons. Oh, that's good; if you get sleepy when you listen to my sermons, then sleep well, do you hear me? Sleep well. When I say Amen, they wake up. Oh, what a spirit! Thank God! Cured insomnia. So, no time is a myth. Always rushing, busy, messing around, exhausted. Finally living a lifetime, living in a chaotic state, what for? It's tiring; can't do it like that; don't believe in no time. Where did all the time go? Think about it carefully. So, I say time needs to be managed.

III. Time Needs to Be Managed

Once, some people drove for three hours to cover a one-hour distance because of a traffic jam. After driving for three hours, they later wrote me a reflection, and I said, What did you do with your time today? They said: Pastor, I was stuck in traffic for three hours. I wondered, You were stuck in traffic for three hours. Does that mean your brain was also stuck for three hours? What does driving require? Driving only requires 1% of CPU computing power. That is, 1% of brainpower is enough. You don't need to stare with all your might. The road signs, the signs on the road, are probably about every five hundred meters on average. If you see that the road ahead is a dead end, then don't drive forward, it's just that simple, right? There are two kilometers to the expressway exit ahead. Then quickly move over to this side. So, it's just this little bit of computing power. Then what did you do with the remaining time? You can't sleep in the car while driving, so what do you do? Start using 90% of your computing power to think about what you should be thinking about. Do you understand? You can do that. We listen to what we should listen to, and we take the advantage that we cannot read to listen, contemplate and make plans. You can ponder this matter, that matter. How to do this, how to do that! We have many things that need pondering. Did time come out? Yes, it did. Sometimes I give an extreme example: Some people sit on the toilet for half an hour, just scrolling through Douyin (TikTok). They scroll through Douyin for half an hour, but even when they are not on the toilet, they scroll. Outside the toilet, on the toilet, they scroll as well. After scrolling and getting excited, they forget their phone in the toilet. It's a public toilet. By the time they go back to find it, the phone is gone. That's a lot of hustle and bustle, reporting to the police and everything else. Time is taken away, all used up. If you don't manage it, you just let your nature lead you and brush away.

Everyone laughs when I say this. They really brush it all away, didn't they? Either it goes out with the stool, or they drive it out, or they shake it away on Douyin. Usually being proud and complacent, a little pride and complacency is shaken away. That's a lament, a lament. Time, what is time for? Sitting there thinking, I want to marry a wife. He didn't meet me. If he met me, I would give him an idea: How can one marry a wife? Talking about it, each one would need hundreds of thousands. Only those from Africa are cheap. You can get several cheap ones from Africa. Or even now, Vietnamese are not cheap anymore either, they're quite expensive. Bangladesh or something like that. Before, many people married Ukrainian wives, and so on.

So all the time is spent dreaming. All spent dreaming, thinking, thinking, thinking. Look, I need a million dollars to marry a wife, but I don't have a million dollars. If I don't have a million dollars, I can't earn a million dollars. And I want to marry a wife, so I just... And it's over, becomes a blueprint dreamer. Blueprint dreamers seem to cost more than fifty thousand. Oh my goodness, what does this person do with their time? All nonsense, all nonsense, not doing anything productive. What is this? It's a lack of management! He is not a blueprint dreamer; he is a blueprint daydreamer, yes, a daydreamer. After thinking for a long time, he still can't come up with a wife. If you have time, you should come and ask me. I would say, Go to Zambia in Africa. It's cheap. In China, you might have tens of thousands of dollars, but there, it's like having millions. So, in this lifetime, to be a managed person, first manage yourself. Manage what? Manage your time well. Time is like water in a sponge. So, we must manage this, we must manage it.

Let me give you an example: Some people live to fifty years old and are very disappointed, very disappointed with themselves. They think to themselves, God, how did you let me live this way? But who said that it wasn't them who walked here step by step? It really was them who walked here step by step. A long time ago, I once ministered to a sister, she was a young person. She was thinking about getting married. Getting married is not a sin, right? She got married and then had three children, though of course some people have six children. As a result, she was very busy. Whenever she saw her husband playing video games, she would get angry. Whenever she saw her children not studying well, she would also get angry. So, her whole life was soaked in these emotions. I feel very emotional, what's the meaning of this? It means that she didn't manage her life well, didn't control it at all, thinking that everything just happened naturally.

She thought all her life and then lived a miserable life. So, I want to tell everyone, this matter is related to theology. The most important management is priority: what I do first, what I must do, what I don't do. Knowing what to do and what not to do is the most basic common sense, that is, priority. What to do? There are things that cannot be done; once you do them, there's trouble. What to do? What not to do? And then how to do it? What to do? All this is closely related to priority, and I will talk about it later. Some people say, Pastor, you are talking about doing things. No, I am talking about this from the perspective of time management. Time management is still a matter of being a person.

What to do, how to do it, and to what extent? If these things are not sorted out correctly, let me tell you, many people are coerced and then fall into the myth of having no time. Hula hula hula all day, have you noticed? Many people hula hula hula all day, and then you ask them what they did? Nothing? Why? They have no management. Today, you must manage your time well. And what do you do with managing your time well? Make plans, do reflections. You say you can't plan? Isn't that learning to plan? Right? If you can't reflect, aren't you learning to reflect? Why are people so busy, always making mistakes, and then making the same mistakes next time, and the time after that? In fact, we make the same mistakes several times in our lives. Making a mistake the first time is not called stupidity, at most it's not called cleverness. But making the same mistake the second time is not exactly stupidity either, it's considered a bit un-clever. But making the same mistake the third time, isn't that stupidity? Isn't it?

Today, we must start constantly summarizing. What did I say before about grasping the key points? Grasping the main contradictions? These are all teaching you how to conduct yourselves. Once you sort this out, time will naturally appear. Why do I have time? Because I am a person of planning. What do I plan? What do I do? How do I do it? I often draw diagrams. Whatever I do, whether it's logic diagrams or design diagrams, I'm always drawing them. Hmm! You must establish this concept: what to do, how to do it, to what extent, when to do it, these are all things you have to think about. Think, spend time thinking, and once you've thought it through, take a pen and write and draw. As you sort things out, your mind will become clearer and clearer. For example, if you want to marry someone, and you marry a渣男 (scumbag), and you still have to support him, how would you feel? But he's not a bad person, just a bit 渣 (scummy). Annoying? Annoying!

Today, we expend all our energy on these things in our lives. Once you're asked to do something proper, oh, everything hurts except your hair. Can he live well? The more he lives, the worse it gets, and then he spends time envying others, doesn't he? Either it's envy, jealousy, or hate. After hating, he gets sick again. Then he spends a lot of money on treatment. Anyway, it's just hardship. Do you understand? All those things are useless. A simple calculation will tell you that envy, jealousy, and hate only lead to illness, a body full of aches and pains, just that discomfort. It's not because of envy, jealousy, and hate that he will get rich, he will only get sick. Isn't there a saying? What you want to avoid most is sickness? What you must have is money? These are the words of the world, but whether you have anything or have nothing, the most important thing is to start learning to plan. In the first chapter of Genesis, when God created the universe and all things, even He had a plan. What did He do on the first day? Why didn't He finish it all in one day? Didn't He have the power? Why did He wait seven days? So troublesome? Actually, God could have finished it all in one breath. But we usually don't have that breath, and if we can't catch our breath, we don't have to do anything.

Therefore, we must know that these things require planning. If you can plan and manage, you will have the image of God. Then you will reflect, creating a closed loop. Do you know the term closed loop? Some people may not read, so they don't know. The concept of a closed loop actually comes from automatic control systems. Automatic control systems include electromechanical systems, control systems, etc. It has control and management closed loops, allowing airplanes to fly stably. Do you understand? Cars can run stably; these are all principles of control. Management and control are essentially the same principle. Management is human logic, control is the logic of mechanical systems, called a closed loop. When you find yourself drifting too far to the left, make yourself go a little more to the right. If you're drifting too far to the right, go a little more to the left. So, autonomous driving technology is now quite advanced. You see cars driving autonomously everywhere. They observe the environment, decide how to drive, and make adjustments. The control is excellent. This is simply a great creation of this era.

Some people say that autonomous driving technology has been suspended. In fact, some places have suspended it, and some places have not. Sometimes people think that autonomous cars have hit someone. But do cars hit people a lot? Yes. Back in the days of horse-drawn carriages, cars arrived on the roads. We can't throw out the baby with the bathwater. People have even drowned in swimming pools, do we close the swimming pools? We can't do that. So, what I'm saying is that one day, learning this prioritisation in management will allow you to learn time management. In the future, I will tell you how to manage projects. First, manage yourself. Managing projects and managing people essentially means knowing who should do what at what time, and how they should do it. If you're not clear in your own head, who are you going to manage? Manage your own time well. Now, how do you manage it, after all this rambling? Come, I'll teach you. What I'm teaching is all practical.

IV. All Urgent Matters Are Not Very Important

Remember, all urgent matters are not very important. You might say, are there no urgent matters that are very important? It seems there are. But once they happen, they seem to become less important. Once something happens, like a plane crashes, you just deal with the plane crash. The people are dead, what else can you do? It's not very important. You might say a plane is lost and cannot be found anywhere in the world. No one knows where it went. The people on the plane are gone, many, many experts are gone. You just slowly investigate. You've been investigating for more than ten years; do you keep investigating it? Is it important? It's not important anymore. Why do urgent matters happen? Why do they occur? Because many of the urgent matters in our daily lives are things we didn't plan for. You get to the airport and see that you need to go abroad, but you didn't bring your passport. What can you do?

So, these urgent matters are always related to not planning ahead. Why don't you plan? Because you often like to slap your head, keep slapping untill it gets soft like tofu, that's useless. These urgent matters are because important matters were not handled. So, what do urgent matters need? They need us to avoid having so many urgent matters in the future. How many kilometers are you going to drive your car? You're driving to a place, and halfway there, the battery dies. There are no villages in front and no shops behind, stuck in the middle of nowhere. There are still twenty kilometers to the front and twenty kilometers to the back, and the battery is dead. Why? What were you doing earlier? Is it important? It's not important anymore, it's already not important. So, what do you do? Learn a lesson called being prepared. So today, our brothers and sisters gradually begin to learn that people know in their hearts that urgent matters are not important.

Important things are not urgent. Does everyone have this concept now? So, you need to remove the myth of having no time. Why? Today, you are spending time on something meaningless. Excuse my crude language. You say you do something and do it poorly. Can you not be busy? You do another thing and do it poorly. You do another thing and do it poorly. Oh my goodness! Your whole life becomes a vicious cycle, never doing the important things.

So, today I'm teaching everyone a lesson. If you are still busy today, calm down and re-examine which parts you haven't done right. If you are a busy person, you cannot be a top student. Really, let me tell you, just forget about it. You say I'm busy, I'm working hard, and in the future, I want to be first in my class. You'll be lucky not to be near the bottom. I have never seen a top student who is a busy person. If you want to do well in the workplace, unless you pretend to be busy, I don't blame you. You pretend to be busy for your boss to see, but you're not really busy in your heart, that's fine. Do you understand? You pretend to be busy to perform for your boss, don't take that seriously. I'm talking about something deep down in your bones. If this person is always dealing with urgent matters, urgent matters today, urgent matters tomorrow, aren't you a problem? For example, there is an old lady, actually not that old, fifty or sixty years old, a grandmother. After becoming a grandmother, she takes care of her grandchildren. Every day, she's covered in sweat, the temperature is over thirty degrees, her head is hot, and she has a fever. She uses an electric fan to blow on herself, but it's useless. She carries another fan on her shoulder, blowing hard. What can that solve? The child cries all day long, making the house noisy. Why? She doesn't know how to manage it. She doesn't know how to be patient, so she just lets the child cry. Also, when it's time to eat, the child doesn't eat, so she chases after them to feed them. Can she not be busy? Of course, she's busy.

If a young person doesn't do a project right, oh, they get terribly tired. This morning, I was ministering to a sister who used to be afraid to sleep and was busy all day long, so tired. Now, after my ministration, she sleeps soundly, and the projects still come, and she's doing better and better. So, urgent matters are because things are not done right. If you're like me, I don't need to pretend to be busy for my boss to see. I'm just not busy. Even if I am busy, I don't look busy. Why? Because I've done the important, non-urgent things.

V. Important Matters Are Not Urgent

What is important? Planning. Don't plan poorly, and then start construction. Aren't you asking for trouble? So, important matters are not urgent. Once they become urgent, they are not that important anymore. For example, if we want to defend our country, if we don't practice our soldiers normally, how can you fight when the enemy comes? If your country is not rich and you don't do a good job of developing the economy, you can't support the army. If you raise an army but don't train them, the soldiers will be strong on the outside but weak on the inside, useless. Why? Practicing soldiers and developing the economy are very important tasks for a country. It is very important to have a wealthy country and a strong army. So, important matters are all within the plan. For urgent matters, what do you do? You have nothing to do, so you touch a tiger's butt, and then the tiger bites off half of your face. Then you fix that half of your face. You have nothing to do. If you are capable, you can drink three bowls of alcohol, and then you can touch the tiger's butt. Then, you are Wu Song fighting the tiger. But the question is, why poke a tiger's butt for no reason? Why? Because you can't beat the tiger, so don't poke its butt.

Important things are not urgent, so you have to learn to plan. I will tell you the most important thing is how to do it. If you don't know how to do it, how to do it? Useless. I often see people who don't know how to do it, not thinking about how to do it, just doing it with all their might. I say, What about the plan? They just stare at me blankly, No plan. You think you can figure it out just by sitting there? You sit there, and it just proves that I see. I guess it's hard for you not to be busy. It is impossible for you to have time. Why? Because you are making mistake after mistake. What happens if you make a mistake for the customer? You have to compensate them.

So, regular training and regular learning become the main axis of our lives. Today, everyone has to break free from the myth of having no time. It's impossible for you to have no time; you're just using your time wrong. Today, we start to readjust, saving all the time from your senility, saving all the time from your sulking, saving all the time from your sickbed, saving all the time from your disasters. Will that work? I have never seen a person who loves God not have time, never.

Let me tell you, why did God decree that the Israelites observe Passover at this time? Observe the Feast of Tabernacles at this time? Observe the Feast of Pentecost at this time? Why? Why observe the Sabbath? Why? You might say, I'm halfway through decorating and working. Just halfway through, and you have to move in that day. I can't observe the Sabbath? Then, what are you doing? Didn't you know you would be moving in at that time? You knew. Then, why did you have to watch it?

I am teaching everyone a lesson: tell people about the things that have been arranged. This is that I have already set this time apart as holy before the creation of the world and it cannot be changed. Of course, if you happen to be working that day, I don't blame you. But if you don't work and you arrange other things, that is not right. Why? Because you have formed a habit of not changing things that have been arranged. If there are always urgent matters, isn't that a problem? There is something urgent popping up today, something urgent popping up tomorrow, there are always urgent matters. Someone is about to get on the highway in their car. He doesn't go to the toilet. The next service area is another hundred kilometers away. 20 kilometers away his bladder bursts. Oh my goodness! This is annoying. As a result, the car has to get off the highway and find a small shop to use the toilet.

What were you doing? I thought this morning, you thought so, right? Isn't this just wetting your pants? So, I think the important thing is to set aside time, sanctify it, and develop the habit of making plans. If you see something is wrong, I plan it in advance. I shout, Stop, stop! I need to go to the toilet. Don't get on the highway yet, I need to go to the toilet. Just find a place under the highway; there's always a toilet somewhere. Once you're on the highway, you have to wait for the service area. So, plan often, study often.

The most important thing about planning is how to do this thing. This is how I should do it. There's a big difference in how to do it. The difference is very big. Can I do it right the first time? Am I saving trouble? Of course, it saves trouble if you do it right the first time. So, I have a characteristic when I do things: I'm not in a hurry, I plan it well, and I think through all the key details. After I've thought it through, any work that comes to me can basically be done right the first time. For example, I do my job, which is managing these information systems. I am a CIO (Chief Information Officer) of a company, also known as Information Management or Information Director. I must formulate my strategic direction well. Remember, if the strategy goes wrong, tactics are useless. If the strategy goes wrong, tactics are useless. I repeat it again. So, the strategy has to be right. So, I put in a lot of effort to get my strategic development direction right. But my strategy looks rough, it doesn't look like a theological strategy.

It's not the kind of high-sounding, grand thing; it's all very straightforward content. How exactly to do it? What exactly is my theological strategy? I won't spend time sharing this today. But when I get the strategy right, my tactics, one project after another, go step by step, it's impossible to be overwhelmed. I have the theological strategic planning and tactical planning all done right. How could I be busy? So, the department I lead leaves work at 6 p.m. The department I lead doesn't have the bad habit of working overtime. If I force you to stay until 8 p.m., then 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. is study time. That's definitely the case. Sometimes, why is my work pressure still a bit high? It's because I'm thinking about next year's affairs this year, and next year I have to think about the year after. Every year, sometimes I think about three to five years; how to deal with those three to five years, that's all in the plan. If you are the Prime Minister of a country, you have to plan, right? You have to plan and see three to five years ahead is not enough; you have to judge thirty or twenty years.

Lee Kuan Yew, the former Prime Minister of Singapore, was amazing. He could see the future of China in the 1960s, but we Chinese couldn't see it. In the 1970s, he promoted bilingualism and studied simplified Chinese characters. Is it strange? Is it strange? It's not strange because the leaders of Singapore look ahead three to five decades. They are really amazing. So, today's development is because of his past plans, past strategic planning. So, Lee Kuan Yew and Deng Xiaoping were good friends and often discussed national strategy together. Is that strategy urgent? I ask you, is it important to discuss things five years from now? Important. Urgent? Not urgent.

So, I have to tell everyone that important things cannot be ignored. For example, over the past period, we have thoroughly studied this matter of Mammon. It's been vague, always vague. There's no use in being anxious. Everyone understands, everyone understands. Although there were some detours, fortunately, we adjusted in time and started moving in the right direction again. So, if you want to understand how to make plans, I will talk about it when I am doing things. My mind is never idle. What kind of adjustment are you asking about? Not for making money, not just thinking about making money, but to maintain the true original intention and direction of theological research. Mammon, as soon as you think about making money, it's Mammon. A preacher must not think about money. As soon as you think about money, your head buzzes.

Six: Grasp the Essence of Things and Simplify Matters

Today I am talking about an overview. When we get to the specifics, I will talk about it in detail when we are doing things. Grasp the essence of things and simplify matters. Usually, when I'm idle, I'm still idle. Some people say, Teacher, you're still idle? I have time, I have time. I like to study; there are too many things I don't know. Grasp the essence of things and simplify matters. I can tell you that the next era is the era of us Chinese.

This is not only because I am Chinese; Western scholars also have similar views. There is a strategic expert in Singapore who has made a huge contribution to the national development strategy. His name is Mahbubani, and his Chinese name is Ma Kaisuo. He writes very well about China's strategy. Why is it said that this is the era of us Chinese, or the era of Orientals? Let me tell you.
Although Orientals admire the advanced aspects of the West, they often think that Western things are a bit complicated. Why? For example, Westerners have done a lot of work in strategic planning. They have developed many strategic maps, SWOT analysis, and various methods and tools. There is a book specifically describing this, written by Wang Zigang, titled Wang Zigang on Strategy, which is very good. In the future, among strategic consulting companies, I think Chinese strategic consulting companies will also be very strong. Why? The reason is simple: what Chinese people are best at is not necessarily invention and creation, but making things simple and clear.

Making things simple, reducing costs, and making them easy to use is a characteristic. Grasp the essence of things. Sun Tzu's Art of War, 2,500 years ago, is still not outdated today. Still not outdated. Some people say, Teacher, I have read a section of Sun Tzu's Art of War. Don't be fooled by Sun Tzu's Art of War. Jesus' theology is even more powerful. Grasp the essence of things. I think I have to tell you that the reason why I founded Chinese Mingding Doctrine in our generation is because one of the reasons is that I am an Oriental. Think about it slowly. Grasp the essence of things. Although I have discussed so much, what I want to say in the end is: grasp the essence of things, make things simple, and make them easy to use. This is inseparable from us Chinese.

Chinese people are very good at this. This is theology. So, I wish my brothers and sisters would only read the Bible for the rest of their lives, that would be ruined. Although we also read Sun Tzu's Art of War, we are not deceived by it. We are fighting a spiritual battle. Why do we eliminate the myth of time? It's always failing to grasp the essence, grasping the surface. Failing to grasp the essence, grasping the surface, making a appearances.

In the end, it doesn't solve the problem; it can only become very busy. How to manage projects? How to manage people? How to govern the country? During the Qin Dynasty, the general Wang Jian led his troops to Yunnan, near the Vietnamese border, which was very impressive. Very impressive. In that era, everything relied on legs; there were no highways. It was possible to govern a vast country. Can you do it if you don't grasp the essence? Isn't it? So, we have to practice these things. But today, I really can't expand further. I can't go into more detail; it's troublesome.

Seven: Develop the Habit of Daily Reflection

Develop the habit of daily reflection. This is one of the most basic requirements of our shepherding. That is, I hope you grow, and I hope you get out of this myth of having no time. But if you don't develop the habit of daily reflection, how can you grow? Reflect every day on what you did today. Having no time is a deceptive thing. Because you don't have time to reflect, you are like an electric car; if you don't have time to charge, what about it? Not good; you'll be out of power all day. Isn't it?

Develop the habit of daily reflection. Recently, one of our sisters often came to me for prayer at night. Later, I gave her a suggestion: I said, you get up every morning, pray for an hour, and then go to work. Do you think this is a waste of time? Actually, you think about it after listening. It can't be a waste of time. Why? Because it's charging. If you wake up inexplicably depressed in the morning, can you do a good job? You can't do a good job. If you wake up inexplicably busy every morning, can you do a good job? You can't do a good job. If you wake up inexplicably irritable every morning, how can you possibly do a good job? Today, one of the sisters was very interesting. She woke up in the morning wanting to cry. Isn't that strange? She wanted to cry, so she called me. I led her in prayer, thanks be to God. Originally, I had some small difficulties with my own prayer, but I led her in prayer. Hey, I prayed, and she prayed. Okay, went to work.

So, today, our brothers and sisters have to recharge every day. Charging with some oxygen and electricity is good. Then I ask you, is Sunday a waste of time? It's not a waste of time. Is Bible study on Wednesday and Friday a waste of time? It seems like we spend a lot of time. Actually, we save a lot of time. Why? When we pray, we can clear our heads. Why? Because deception is a lie released by the devil.

Busyness is a lie released by the devil. The myth of having no time comes from the spiritual world. This sister has recently learned some things from me. She is engaged in live-streaming business. Recently, her business volume has also increased. One person came, because he manages many anchors, he is a manager, and he found that the business volume inexplicably increased. Why? Because the things in the spiritual realm determine the things in our world. Do you understand? So, I think that if we fall into this myth of having no time in our daily lives, we must be messed up by the devil. Don't wait until you make a mistake and lose money to remember. Yes. Fight the spiritual battle well.

Fight the spiritual battle well and clear our minds. It is impossible to have no time. It is impossible to have no time. If we really want to dedicate our lives to God, how can we not have time to dedicate to God? Impossible!

What I'm talking about today is the habit of daily reflection. If you have nothing to reflect on, if you think that everything is going well now, then consider things a year from now. If you can solve problems a year from now, then you are amazing. If you can solve problems thirty years from now, then wouldn't you be Lee Kuan Yew? Learning is always the main axis of our lives. I want to tell you that even today, I am still learning. I have a good learning habit, and my daily study time is usually more than two hours. Why? Because he's not busy, he has time. I tell you, it's impossible to become a busy person. Okay, we'll share this here today, no Q&A. You can think about it. If you have notes, read them repeatedly and imprint what you have learned in your mind. May God bless you all. Goodbye brothers and sisters.
