【Sermon】-【The Words of the Preacher Series】05: To find enjoyment in toil, this is the gift of God.

2024-11-10 2,552 Words of the Preacher Series

Introduction

Good day to everyone. We are on the fifth part of the Words of the Preacher, and the theme is To find enjoyment in toil, this is a gift from God. If a Preacher has no Word, what is he preaching? What truly is the Word? The Word that the Preacher conveys is a Word that allows people to live well.

Brothers and sisters, I am not here to make your lives miserable, but to enable you to live well. However, the method of living well that I speak of may not align with your own thoughts. But for a person to live well, it is indeed not easy. Without some wisdom and intelligence, how can one possibly live well? How can one live well if foolish? That is why we preachers must become those who have attained the Word.

Brothers and sisters, be thankful to God for bringing you into our midst, to hear the true Word of God here. Chinese Mingding Destiny studies how people can live well. To live well on this earth, one must rely on God's promises. To be able to draw on God's promises, that is wonderful—all problems are resolved in the promises.

Under the sun, there are so many evil things that are hard to understand, so many that it is hard to believe. For example, why do people strive so hard to run for president? Because not running for president means going to jail. I wonder why one would make oneself so tired; it looks exhausting. Therefore, a preacher must have the Word, must be wise, must see through things. Once you see through things, you know what you are living for. Living is about rejoicing, it is about fearing God, not about creating trouble for oneself.

Some sisters look up at their husbands and say, Why does your face look so awful? Are you making me suffer? People are thinking, and you are just creating problems. The look in your eyes, is it one of despair towards me? People are not even paying attention to you. The look in your eyes, the tone of your voice… Oh my goodness, just creating trouble out of nothing. When I say this, I am sure many will feel it resonates with them; it is normal, not surprising.

Therefore, reading the Book of Ecclesiastes makes one wise, gives one wisdom. Today's chapter five of Ecclesiastes makes people wise, knowing what you are living for. You come into this world for a lifetime, not to find fault with this or that. Some people are like that, like in Northeast China, What are you looking at? Looking at you, what about it? And then they stab each other to death. Such things are very common.

The smartest thing is to understand what living is all about, and then to rejoice in your labor throughout your life; that is God's plan for you. Of course, God has a Plan A for you, and a Plan B. Plan A is to enter the Promised Land, and Plan B is to die in the wilderness. Some people have gone into Plan B.

What exactly are people living for? One must figure it out. If people live without understanding, then many evil things arise. This world is full of evil things! People are foolish; people are stupid, all starting from thinking they are clever. When I see some people reflecting, they never reflect on their own stupidity, only on things like, I read The Art of War, and recently I did this and that. I cannot see that they are reflecting on their own stupidity. If a person does not know that he is foolish, then he is certainly being deceived by the devil.

Actually, I am forced to say these things; I do not like to say them, and people dislike me for saying them. Because once I open my mouth, it is bound to contain a few words: one is stupid, and the other is foolish. You say, Teacher, recently our pastoral district leader has left, so this pastoral district will be under your care. I am thinking, They still do not know that my mouth is quite harsh, and the first thing I say is 'stupid,' the first thing I say is 'foolish.' Everyone has experienced this, right? Then people say to me, So you think you are the only smart one?

It is precisely because I feel that I am not smart that I say this. Because you feel that you are smart, and I feel that I am not smart, this forms a clear dividing line. If people want to become smart, they must start from knowing that they are foolish. I have pastored a sister for decades, and she has never known what she has done wrong. Then I tell her that she has done something wrong, and she feels lost. She will definitely feel lost.

I know a preacher who believed in the wrong gospel, serving full-time in the church, and as a result, he got liver cancer and passed away last week. Very touching! Actually, they have all heard me preach, but they just feel that they are not wrong. If people want to be foolish, they just need to feel that they are not wrong. Today, I will ask the brothers and sisters, where do you think you have done wrong? In the past twenty or thirty years, what have you reflected on that you have done wrong? I tell you, there is very little reflection.

I talk about reflection in the Little Shepherd training. Our pastors and co-workers teach people to write reflections, but few people reflect: I did this wrong, the right way should be like this; I did that wrong, the right way should be like that. They all feel that they are not wrong. Some people are quite interesting. They feel that, Teacher, I am already so busy with work, but I still insist on attending Sunday service, attending meetings, and I still insist on writing notes, pastoring, and doing ministry. I do not like the sound of that. I say, You are so great.

Do you not think this is a problem? If you are so busy, you squeeze out time, and then you feel that you are very great, do you not think that is a problem? Maybe you cannot hear it today, but if someone can hear it, thank God. Do you think God really needs us to attend meetings? He does not. God wants us to become people who have the Word.

If a person is not blessed in their job, there is definitely a problem. I rarely hear people say this: Boss, I am very busy with my service, so I will not come to work today. I rarely hear people say that. Of course, there is one: me! No matter how busy I am with work, I always put my service first, because my life is given by God. I am not like many of you, whose lives are your own.

So, where have our brothers and sisters not done things right? What exactly have you not done right? If you say, I seem to have done everything right; I already love God very much, then that is bad. Some people cannot urinate or defecate, and they blame God: God, why did you let this happen? You have not done things right! If you had done things right, would you not be able to urinate or defecate? You do not even have the strength to urinate, and you still think you are right? Repent quickly! We really need to adjust where we have not done things right in the past.

Some people are very impressive. When the stock market went up, they bought with leverage, and the next day it fell and they lost 300,000, and they still think they are clever, still think they did not do The Art of War well. How can they rejoice? What did you rush in for? With your brains, I think you should give up the idea of the stock market.

Some people are afraid of their boss. Ten years ago, they were afraid of their boss, five years ago, they were afraid of their boss, and today they are still afraid of their boss, but they are not afraid of God. I am thinking: Lord, have mercy, when will these people's minds be opened and become smart? I am particularly moved. What I seek in my heart is that our brothers and sisters can enter into God's will, live out God's joy, and live in God's perfect will throughout their lives. But some brothers and sisters just watch the disaster and insist on walking into it.

A sister, many years ago, found a job as a social media manager, and the job was quite good. She said, Teacher, there is no room for growth in this job. I felt that something was wrong when I heard that. How can there be no room for growth? I said, Can you do your boss's job? She said, No. Then how can there be no room for growth? Isn't this being self-opinionated? When she heard me say this, she stopped talking to me and quit her job.

I often see some people in our midst feel that they are very amazing, and they say, I need to find a place to grow. Has there been growth? They cannot even support themselves with basic necessities. Thank God, after a while, God had mercy on him again.

I tell you, in the Book of Judges, the Israelites lived in disaster, and then cried out to God, and God helped them. After a while, they were proud again, saying that they had no room for growth and did not know how to grow. Oh my goodness, I really wanted to punch them in the face; they deserved it! I watched him and knew that something was going to happen again, and it was hard to watch. Just so sure of what they believed, I thought, what kind of brains are these?

Therefore, the disasters in this world are all walked into by people themselves, and they cannot be stopped. The disasters in this world are closely related to ignorance. You find that ignorant people are very self-righteous. To what extent are ignorant people ignorant? God, you should not have done this. God, you should do this. Oh my goodness, their audacity is really great.

You would not dare to say to the Chairman, Chairman Mao, you should do this. Tomorrow he would eliminate you. I thought, what kind of brains are these? There are many ignorant people in this world. I tell you, pastoring in the church is a very difficult thing; there are too many tears to tell.

A young man from the countryside won 1.5 million in the lottery. After paying taxes, he had 1.3 million. He did not know what to do with the money, so he found a life coach online. The life coach said, Do not keep the one million in your own hands; give it to your parents to help you save it, otherwise you will not be able to control it. Keep the remaining 300,000 with you and quickly go out and find a job. This money is given to you to test whether you will walk into disaster or not.

As a result, after the life coach finished speaking, he found that the young man already had an idea in his mind: I am going to invest this money in this and that. As a result, not only did he not get any returns, but he also owed a lot of debt. You would say that before winning the lottery, he could live a normal life. Before winning the lottery, he had no debt; after winning the lottery, he owed a lot of debt. This is called bad luck.

When the life coach saw that he was going to walk into disaster, he stopped talking. Have you noticed that I used to say you were stupid, but I do not say it anymore. Why do I not say it anymore? I cannot say it anymore, or else you will show your teeth at me. So the life coach gave up. When I saw this story that the life coach told online, I said that it seemed a bit like our pastoring.

A person's life path is walked out by themselves. If you walk into disaster, do not be surprised; you walked there yourself. Do not reach fifty years old and say, God, why is this happening? God says that you walked it out yourself; I did not even stop you. God, why did you not stop me? God says that I did not stop you! And you still blame God.

These people do not know what their problem is until they die, have never seen a demon until they die, and do not know where they are wrong until they die. This is the tragedy of this earth. Maybe God created them this way; would you say that is touching?

You know there was a man named Saul, and he did not know how he became like that until he died. Samuel asked him, Why did you disobey God's words? What did Saul say? Saul said, I have indeed diligently kept and followed God's words. Did he keep them? He did not keep them, but he said that he did indeed keep them.

Brothers and sisters in our midst, if you feel that you are not wrong, feel that you love God very much, listen to my advice today. If you have never summarized where you have done wrong in your life, or if you never feel that you are wrong, you are a Saul, you are an utterly foolish person. How is it possible that you have not done anything wrong? I have done so many things wrong, and you can still be without fault?

If this Saul were a smart person, he would say, Samuel, why do I not understand? Where have I not diligently kept and followed? Samuel, please teach me quickly. Samuel would say, Look, this should be like this, it should not be like that. Saul would say, So that is how it is. Okay, I will change. I ask you, would this Saul later become a madman? He would not. It is a pity that this person is just stubborn and self-willed.

Cain was also like this. He had never seen a demon in his life. God said that sin was crouching at his door. He opened the door and saw that there was no sin. Everything was fine. But I have to tell you that Cain and Saul lived in pain throughout their lives. Do not think that because he was king for forty years, and Cain built a city for his son Enoch, they lived well. We look at things the wrong way. What do we need to look at? We need to see if he lived in suffering or comfort.

We always thought that he was very comfortable, but in fact, he was in great pain in his heart. If a person suffers throughout their life, that is the portion that God prepared for Cain; if a person suffers throughout their life, that is the portion that God prepared for Saul. Do not think that because he was king for forty years, I tell you that those forty years were spent in agony.

Because they feel that they have no problems, they blame God when something happens. God, why is this happening? Why is it so unfair? Surely there are people among us who say these words. If you say these words, you need to repent. Disaster is behind these words.

A preacher died of liver cancer last week without seeing Trump elected. It is a pity that he did not know where he was wrong until he died, and still thought that he loved God very much. Later, his co-workers said, Look, he did not blame God until he died. Is it so great that he did not blame God? I find it strange. Such things, the tragedies under the sun, are endless.

Today, I hope that everyone becomes smart, at least knowing where they are wrong. Do not be like the Israelites who died in the wilderness, do not be like the Israelites after Joshua died. Do not forget that you are a person, do not forget when you were born, when you will die, whether you can defecate, whether you can urinate. It is not up to you to decide. You must fear God. There are many things that you do not know, and there are many mistakes that you make.

Do not forget that the goal of living is to rejoice, not to create a lot of entanglements. Do not create a lot of evil things for no reason. Do not forget that you are a person; one disaster can leave you with nothing, you cannot control it. You must know that disasters are all brought on by oneself, and when people become arrogant, disaster will definitely come.

The evil things in this world all have a reason. God does not make mistakes, the devil does not target the wrong people, only people do not know where they are wrong. This is the tragedy. Do not question God when you see injustice; everything is sown by people themselves, and you reap what you sow. You must fear God, and those who fear God lack no good thing. You may not even know how to fear, so you should slowly ponder it.

When I am pastoring, someone asks, Teacher, what should I do? I say, Go back and ponder it slowly. It is no use if I say anything; people do not agree, and people have their own ways. What should I do? I tell you, it is not about what to do, it is that your heart must fear God. That is the key!

To live joyfully, this is a gift from God, this is God's plan for people. That is Plan A, do not enter Plan B. Saul, God originally prepared a Plan A for him, but he entered Plan B.

How can you rejoice? Everyone must know that you rejoice in labor! Why? Because labor and work are grace! Otherwise, what would you do? I would put you in a circle and chain you up, giving you food on time every day. That way you would not have to labor, but it would be very strange.

I have a theory of human resources management. Some people say that I brainwash people, but what I say is the truth. This is a theory of how to rejoice. When do people rejoice? They rejoice when they grow. To grow, you must learn. How do you learn? You learn by solving problems. And work gives you a platform to solve problems, so work is grace, especially since people also give you a salary.

Without this platform, where would you grow? If you always feel that you are making a contribution, and people say a few words to you, you feel wronged and sad; people will feel sad if they feel justified. If people feel that what they are receiving is not grace, and feel that they are making a great contribution, they will definitely feel sad. So I never feel that I am making a contribution; I am receiving grace.

A pastor got brain cancer, and I asked him, Why did you get brain cancer? He said, Because I can only rest one day a week. I said, I have never rested a day since I was young. What is the difference? He felt that his work was a contribution; I feel that my work is grace. I like to work, and there is no reasoning with that.

You have to know that I know how to live. I work so much, and I do not rest a day, but I often find rest in Jesus Christ. I do not need rest, I need Sabbath rest. As a result, he got brain cancer in his forties, and he may be dead now. He did not live joyfully, and he did not feel that serving was grace.

A church pastor feels that he is very hardworking and making a great contribution, and he rests one day a week, feeling that God has treated him unfairly. I do not rest a day, and I still feel that God has been gracious to me. Why? Because it is grace!

I was thinking, if I were not building a church, what would I be doing today? Many things are meaningless and not fun. Today I eliminate this demon, tomorrow I eliminate that demon, how fun that is. Going back and forth with the devil, today someone is delivered, tomorrow someone is delivered. How happy!

Therefore, to rejoice in labor, to rejoice in service, this is a gift from God, this is what smart people can obtain. Train children this way, and they will become smart; train yourself this way, and you will become smart. You must learn to fear God. Do you understand? In my life, there are a few words that you must remember. You may not be able to receive them even now. Some people say, Only you can receive them. I am also slowly pondering them. Clear goals, clear strategies, the right methods.

Taking living as an example, what is your goal? If your goal is entanglement, you will definitely be entangled; if your goal is money, you will definitely be entangled. What exactly is your goal? The goal is joy! No one can take away my joy in Jesus Christ! Oh my goodness! Smart!

Set the goals, eliminate the difficulties, and reject the lies that come in. The strategy is clear: it is to fear God; the method is to feel that one does not love God enough. Constantly search within oneself for areas where one is not yet acting according to God's Word.

Scripture

Behold, what I have seen to be good and fitting is for one to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which he toils under the sun the few number of his days that God has given him, for this is his lot. Also, every man to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God. For he will not dwell overly on the days of his life, because God keeps him occupied with gladness in his heart. (Ecclesiastes 5:18-20)

Prayer

God, grant us wisdom and understanding today, that we may know that life is meant to be joyful. May we understand our goal in life, which is to rejoice in You, and enjoy the benefits derived from our labor, for this is the portion You have given us.

God, this is Your gift. Grant us wisdom and understanding to know that You are in control of all things, and let us simply be those who please You, so that You may also gladden our hearts. God, grant us wisdom and understanding today, that we may be able to understand the Book of Ecclesiastes and obtain the way to eternal life, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

What is this chapter about?

What is this chapter about? Solomon saw so many evil things on earth that he became dizzy. For example, there were two women, one whose child died inexplicably, and the other whose child lived. The two women fought over one child. What good do you think you will get by stealing someone else's child? Solomon saw all these things in the world, and they were all evil.

Think about it, what good could come from going to court? Today someone stabs someone to death, tomorrow someone sets fire to someone's house. There are even more things happening in the village. There was a story about a soldier who came back from the army and found that the villagers had been bullying his father. On New Year's Eve, he took a knife and stabbed all his enemies to death, not even letting the old women and children go.

Solomon saw these things and, after observing and analyzing them, began to sort them out and summarize them. What is the purpose of life? Finally, he figured it out. What he saw as good and fitting was God, that one should eat and drink and enjoy the benefits of one's labor under the sun during the days of life that God has given him. This is good; everyone wants this.

Solomon sorted out this one thing, but the things he sorted out are not something everyone can receive. Today, you and I are more fortunate. Someone else has already summarized it, and the research paper has already been written. We don't have to bother to do the research ourselves; we get the conclusion right away. How great is that!

So rejoicing in one's labor is a gift from God. This is what I want to tell you today, but not everyone can receive it. First of all, Solomon examined and saw many foolish people, and fools bring disaster. Don't think that disaster comes out of nowhere; foolish people walk into disaster themselves.

Brothers and sisters, please listen to my advice: there is still hope if you default to being a fool; if you default to being a smart person from the start, you are bound to be finished. See what Solomon said:

Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. To draw near to listen is better than to offer the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they are doing evil. (Ecclesiastes 5:1)

If you do not come near and listen to God's word properly, and then offer sacrifices, it is useless; prayer is also useless. It is best to listen to God's word, and obedience is better than sacrifice. This is what Samuel said in the Book of Samuel.

Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few. For a dream comes with much business, and a fool's voice with many words. When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow. It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay. (Ecclesiastes 5:2-5)

These kinds of people talk nonsense before God, are usually talkative, show foolishness, make vows and do not fulfill them, and live in vanity and illusion, with many dreams and many words. Sometimes they believe in those dreams and prophecies. Then, when they see injustice in the world, they are surprised and love money a little bit. Then disaster comes. What does Solomon say?

There is a grievous evil that I have seen under the sun: wealth kept by its owner to his hurt, and those riches were lost in a bad venture. And when he fathers a son, he has nothing in his hand. As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand.

This also is a grievous evil: just as he came, so shall he go, and what profit did he gain? All his days he eats in darkness in much vexation and sickness and anger. (Ecclesiastes 5:13-17)

Is it foolish? Is it a disaster? Yes. Often eating in darkness. I urge everyone to be in debt with joy and rejoice in labor, because this is the wise thing to do. Debt is caused by past foolishness. If you are sick and eat in darkness, you must repent today. All the diseases are caused by anger. This is a disaster. Therefore, what is good and fitting is to rejoice in labor.

If our goal is to live well and happily, the strategy is to fear God, and the method is to listen to God's word, always knowing that we don't know enough, and not talking nonsense or messing around. Later, I thought it was very interesting. I thought, how come the things that Solomon summarized in Ecclesiastes are the same as what I have summarized? Oh my, I am being a little boastful again, but I think this summary is so good!

When I was young, I told myself that I wanted to be happy all my life. When I first believed in the Lord, I knew that joy was especially good and that hard work and worry were not good. So you will find that I am a very peculiar person who never talks about pressure. Although the work is heavy, I do not talk about pressure. I think it is important to maintain joy and happiness.

For a while, I really wanted to bless those who speak English. In a week, I would lead two Bible studies in Chinese, preach once, lead one Bible study in English, and preach once. Then I would also teach how to program and how to do things practically. During that time, my co-workers' house needed to be renovated, and they had no money, so they had to do it themselves to save money. I tell you, we did the work of smashing walls ourselves.

Someone asked: Teacher, what should we do? We haven't applied for permission, and we can't apply for it. Then do it yourself! It's okay, we finished it and did a lot of work. To this day, there are still recordings of my lectures on our English website.

But after a while, I realized something was wrong and stopped. Don't think that I have put down the English ministry. No, I will pick it up again when the time is right. Why put it down temporarily? Because I found that people don't know how to learn. What should I do if people don't know how to learn? First, teach them how to learn.

Be careful when coming to the house of God

Be careful when coming to the house of God. You must know that our God is a jealous God, so you must be careful. Never be self-righteous. If you do not listen to God's word, you do not know how evil you are. But if you listen to God's word and then just finish, then you will be finished in the end.

Be not rash with your mouth! You are a human being, and there are many things you do not know, so do not mess around. If you mess around and God hates you, you will be in trouble. If God hates you, He will take away your joy, and disaster will come. Be careful when coming to the house of God; be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word. Why? Because you always want to explain to God.

Never explain to God; listen carefully. Listen to God explaining, not you explaining to God: God, it's not like this, it's like that. Because of this, because of that. You are working very hard to prove that you are right, and as soon as you prove that you are right, you become an evil person.

Have you ever wanted to explain to God, Look, I am so good to that sister, how can she treat me like this? Look how much I serve her, how wholeheartedly I serve her, and she actually criticizes me. If you ever feel that you are right, that you are correct, that you are the embodiment of truth, you will be sad.

Do you all know that I often feel that things are not done correctly? I have done many things wrong, so I am not sad. I feel that I owe others more and that they owe me less. Even if people wrong me, it doesn't matter, because I feel that I owe them. If someone glares at me, I think, why shouldn't they glare at me? With my appearance and foolishness, isn't it normal for them to take advantage of me?

So be careful and do not be foolish. For a dream comes with much business, and a fool's voice with many words. If people talk too much, they are definitely foolish. You say, Teacher, you are talking a lot now. I have to be careful too; God does not like fools. Can fools not bring disaster? How can fools be happy?

Vows to God must be kept

Try not to make vows, because God lacks nothing. God, if you give me this, I will give you that. I think some people are particularly despicable. God, if you give me ten million, I will donate five million. If He really gives him ten million, he really won't donate five million. Does God really need those five million? Later, he becomes smarter, God, don't bother so much, just give me five million first.

He calculates the account very well. You give me ten million, and I donate five million. To save trouble, just give me five million. I say, what kind of brain is this? For people like this, do you think God will not send a few little devils to mess with him? He will definitely send devils to mess with him, definitely take away his joy, and definitely send disaster. Understand?

Today, the things we often say are very strange. I believe some people definitely pray like this: God, let me make some money on this investment so that I can donate. As a result, as soon as he invests, he loses money. Did he pray? Yes, he did. The thing that Christians like to do most is this, sighing. I often find that people don't know the immensity of Heaven and Earth; they don't know how great God is, nor how rich God is. God really doesn't care about your little things.

Do not be surprised by injustice

Do not be surprised by injustice; people reap what they sow. If his whole family is stabbed to death, do you think there is no reason? Yes, in the spiritual world, God keeps track of every account for you. God is in control of everything, even the kings are raised by God. Do not tell God what to do.

People are surprised, how could God allow such a thing to happen? What does that mean? You want to tell God what He should do. God, why don't you care about this matter? Do you think God doesn't care? Many people died in Gaza, and many people died in Ukraine. God, why don't you care about these matters? I tell you, there are so many Christians like this, as if God made a mistake.

I tell you, God did not make a mistake! So when people say this, disaster will really come. Why do many preachers get cancer and die miserably? This is the reason, so you have to be careful. Reading Ecclesiastes is about fearing God! Although I don't understand this matter, I know that God is in control. Never be like some people who, when they get angry, think they can figure everything out.

Some sisters said to me: I told you, why don't you believe me? I thought to myself: I don't even like the trash you're talking about, how can God like it? She insists on her own opinion, but she doesn't know her own foolishness. But people have to pay the price for this matter.

In my bones, I know that God is in control. In my bones, God is in control forever. Some people think that God is not in control, but that demons are in control. If you say this, you will definitely suffer losses. Can God's anger not be manifested?

See through money

People work hard and live for joy. People do not work hard for money; do not get the goal wrong. People think that people work hard for money. I will read it to you:

He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity. When goods increase, they increase who eat them, and what advantage has their owner but to see them with his eyes? Sweet is the sleep of a laborer, whether he eats little or much, but the full stomach of the rich will not let him sleep. (Ecclesiastes 5:10-12)

This is true; many people cannot sleep. I often pray for them to sleep at night.

There is a grievous evil that I have seen under the sun: wealth kept by its owner to his hurt, and those riches were lost in a bad venture. And when he fathers a son, he has nothing in his hand. (Ecclesiastes 5:13-14)

Today we see enough stories. Some people accumulate wealth to their own detriment, and some people who are not elected president go to jail. They choose between prison and the presidential palace. Is it meaningful to live so entangled and uncomfortable? Is it meaningful to be the richest man if you live so hard? It is meaningless, because the goal is wrong.

But God lets them be deceived. Sometimes God deceives them and lets them get the goal wrong, living for money and living a life of entanglement. Have you ever seen entangled people? They really love money and can be entangled for money. Actually, they don't earn joy even if they earn money.

People should see through money; labor is not for money, but to rejoice in labor. Do not be deceived by money; people come naked and leave naked. It is meaningless; you cannot take anything away.

People should see through life and death

People should see through life and death.

As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand. This also is a grievous evil: just as he came, so shall he go, and what profit did he gain? All his days he eats in darkness in much vexation and sickness and anger. (Ecclesiastes 5:15-17)

Brothers and sisters, you must know that I am truly a person who has seen through life and death. I have been talking about seeing through life and death for more than ten years, and I am still talking about it today. If people do not see through life and death, that is the disaster of the world. Why? Because if you do not see through life and death, you will not understand that you cannot take away anything from your labor.

Then people will eat and drink in darkness in this world. What is darkness? Not seeing through life and death is eating and drinking in darkness. There is much vexation, sickness, and anger. If you do not see through life and death, you deserve it. If you do not see through it, then live like that. If you can see through it, then see through it. If you cannot see through it, then forget it and be sick and angry.

Are there many people among us who have many diseases, cerebral hemorrhage, hemiplegia, leg amputation, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, dizziness, and blurred vision? Yes, there are many. Is there any good in eating and drinking in darkness? Eating and drinking in darkness brings much vexation, sickness, and anger because you do not see through life and death.

If people see through life and death, living a life of joy is important. I tell you, if you live happily to ten years old and die, it is the same as living happily to twenty years old and dying, or living happily to eighty or one hundred years old and dying. Some people think it is good to live to one hundred years old, but if all these one hundred years are full of hard work, worry, sickness, and anger, what is the benefit? There is no benefit.

Summary

What is good and beautiful is to have a lifetime of joy. How to have joy? First, eat and drink during the lifetime that God has given you. Do you like delicious food? Eat delicious food quickly. Some people are dying in the hospital, and they don't enjoy eating anything. It's no use eating now. When you are still doing well, eat and drink quickly, eating and drinking all your life, enjoying the benefits you get from your labor.

God has given people many senses, and what is good and beautiful is to eat, drink, and be happy for a lifetime. We call it eating delicious food and drinking spicy drinks. Sometimes we think artificial intelligence is good, but can artificial intelligence be happy? It has no feeling at all. Many years ago, when I was leading a Bible study, I discussed a question with the brothers and sisters. Isn't the purpose of eating and drinking pleasure to get energy? Eating is for energy.

I said that God created people in such a troublesome way, they have to sow seeds, plant crops, harvest them, grind them into flour, then knead the dough, then cut the filling, then wrap it into dumplings, and then cook it before putting it in their mouths, and finally pulling it out. I said, this is so troublesome.

After studying for a long time, I realized that eating and drinking are so good. After working hard, eating it is so delicious, and you are so happy. It's like adding oil to the oil hole, or charging the charging port; what feeling can that have? Like a snake eating and drinking, it's just for energy, like eating dirt, it's meaningless. So God gives people abundant resources so that they can use them.

I tell you, God will give you resources so that you will not lack any benefits in your life. Then take your share and rejoice in your labor. This is God's gift. Leave foolishness, leave arrogance, and begin to humble yourself before God and become a person who is happy all his life.

He does not dwell excessively on the days of his life. What does that mean? It means, I'm fifty years old, what will I do when I retire? Thinking about it makes him upset, and being upset makes him sick, so he doesn't have to retire. What retirement? It is best not to dwell on your life, but to live happily. Amen!

I wonder when our brothers and sisters will all be able to become happy people. Today, make up your mind to be a happy person. No matter what happens, nothing can take away the joy within us.

May God bless everyone! Amen!
