The Mindset of Wealth Creates Wealth, the Mindset of Poverty Creates Poverty

The mindset of wealth creates wealth, the mindset of poverty creates poverty. This saying is particularly apt! It is crucial to recognize that the pitiful often have aspects that are detestable. As you gradually observe the operational principles of this world, you will begin to discover that there are many poor people. Upon delving deeper, you will find that these people harbor a mindset of poverty within them.

Those with a mindset of poverty are destined to be poor; those who are poor invariably possess a mindset of poverty. Consequently, a segment of society is perpetually sinking, becoming increasingly impoverished with a growing mindset of poverty, and the more impoverished they become, the more entrenched their mindset of poverty, ultimately relegating them to the lowest rungs of society. Conversely, some individuals with a wealth mindset become increasingly affluent, and subsequently develop an even stronger wealth mindset, leading to greater wealth, and with greater wealth comes an even more pronounced wealth mindset. Regardless of one's standing, whether ascending or descending, it all hinges on one's mindset. I once heard someone say, If all the wealth in this world were evenly distributed, after ten years, the wealthy would remain wealthy, and the poor would remain poor. This statement rings true. In fact, I believe it would take no more than five years to materialize.

There was a time when the Singapore government distributed dividends to every low-income individual. One such person, whom I knew and regularly assisted, received S$800 from the government. What did he do with the money? He took a trip to Thailand, and upon his return, the money was gone, and he resumed his life of poverty.

The Greatest Blessing is to Break the Curse of Poverty

Over time, I have discerned a principle: the best blessing you can bestow upon the poor is not merely giving them money, but breaking the curse of poverty that afflicts them and eradicating their poverty mindset. Those with a mindset of poverty lead miserable lives. I aspire to instill a wealth mindset in these impoverished individuals. Of course, if they disregard me, I will not interfere. However, if they seek my counsel, this is how I intend to address their situation.

The poor often perceive my approach as unfavorable. They believe that the best solution I can offer is to give them money. However, I assure you that giving you money will not resolve your underlying issues. Why? Because you still harbor a mindset of poverty. No amount of money can plug the holes created by your poverty mindset.

The Year of Jubilee Cultivates a Mindset of Wealth

A mindset of wealth is the most crucial mindset one can possess in life. For instance, the Year of Jubilee is not merely about everyone resting and doing nothing. It is far from that. The Sabbath and the Year of Jubilee are designed to cultivate a mindset of wealth and dispel a mindset of poverty.

At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts. This is how it is to be done: Every creditor shall cancel any loan they have made to a fellow Israelite. They shall not require repayment from anyone among their own people, because the Lord’s time for canceling debts has been proclaimed. (Deuteronomy 15:1-2)

Does this not sound peculiar? I lend you money, and then, during the Year of Jubilee, you are not required to repay it? Can this be? I assure you, these are the words of God, and therefore, it must be so.

The wealthy do not become wealthy through lending and profiting from interest. The wealthy often forgive the debts of others. What is the result? They do not become impoverished. You may require payment from a foreigner, but you must cancel any debt your fellow Israelite owes you. (Deuteronomy 15:3) This logic is difficult for me to articulate: every seventh year, debts owed to me are forgiven. Wouldn't everyone be desperately borrowing money? What kind of logic is this?

It is not just you; even I find it somewhat challenging to comprehend. However, this is the logic of God. In God's house, there are no poor people. Yet, people often fear that forgiving the debts of others will lead to their own impoverishment.

The Most Potent Way is to Let God Bless You

The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you to possess, so that there will be no poor among you. The Lord will indeed bless you in his promised land; he will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you. (Deuteronomy 15:4-6)

Do you truly comprehend this passage? To become wealthy is not about being petty and stingy. Observe the wealthy closely; many are very generous. To become wealthy, one must first possess a wealth mindset. Why? Because they have many avenues for generating income! In fact, the most potent way to generate income is to allow God to bless you. Today, if you possess a wealth mindset, it is because your internal logical framework differs. If your logical framework is based on God's blessings, I assure you, everything you do will prosper. Even if a thousand poor people borrow your money and fail to repay it, you will remain wealthy. Do you believe this?

Consider today, this era, this place in China is brimming with opportunities. Seize just one opportunity, and you will succeed. With a population of 1.3 billion, earning just one dollar from each person equates to 1.3 billion dollars. That is success. In the early days, QQ, which we used, was free, and Tencent could not generate revenue. Later, they introduced a feature: sending flowers and gifts to others on QQ, charging one dollar per item. With this feature, they generated nearly 100 million dollars overnight, a complete turnaround, and then they vigorously expanded. To this day, the games within Tencent's QQ remain a significant source of revenue.

The Ability to Make Money Comes from God

The ability to make money comes from God. If God grants you a measure of the ability to make money, and you possess a wealth mindset, can you imagine yourself remaining poor? Wealth is never attained through frugality, and the poor never become wealthy through stinginess.

Today, I want to share with you a crucial perspective: Why does God bless those with a wealth mindset? Because God believes that those with a wealth mindset bear the image of God within them. With a wealth mindset, God will bless you. How is a wealth mindset manifested? This passage states: At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts. Where does this concept of forgiveness originate? It stems from the belief in God's blessings. If you believe that your wealth is earned solely through your own efforts, you will be unable to forgive. I deeply believe that I possess a wealth mindset, and not just a common wealth mindset, but a very pronounced wealth mindset.

I may not have much money in my possession, but when I walk down the street, I feel like a billionaire. Do not find this odd. When one possesses a wealth mindset, opportunities abound. One of my defining characteristics is called loyalty. When we were young, we read Water Margin, which extolled chivalry and making friends far and wide. Why? Because wherever I go, I carry a wealth mindset, which attracts a group of wealthy individuals. When wealthy individuals gather together, they share opportunities for wealth, and with an abundance of opportunities, success is inevitable.

Today, I will share a calculation with you. What do my eyes focus on? They focus on real estate. When I see a promising property, one that yields returns, I feel that I should share this opportunity with our brothers and sisters. Upon investing, our brothers and sisters can earn S$200,000 or S$300,000 within a year or half a year. This cannot be achieved through saving.

A Wealth Mindset is a Mindset of Giving

In other words, a wealth mindset must be a mindset of giving. Because I give, I am wealthy; because I consistently give, I am wealthy. It is not because I give that I become wealthy, but because I possess a wealth mindset, I bear the image of the eternal God. Today, I even tell some brothers and sisters: what could I possibly want from you? Truly, there is nothing you possess that I desire. Rest assured, I simply hope that you can improve. This is the truth. The business I am engaged in today is akin to alchemy, helping people to dispel their poverty mindset and instill a wealth mindset, enabling them to quickly become wealthy. For the Lord God is a God of blessing. He will surely bless you according to His promise. To whom does this refer? It refers to those with a wealth mindset.

You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you. What do you glean from this passage? You will become a capitalist, running a bank. You will lend money, and then you will rule over many nations, meaning you will become a manager, setting the rules. Those who set the rules are invariably wealthy. If you cannot participate in setting the rules, then you are at a disadvantage. If one observes and adheres to God's word and believes that God's blessing is the most crucial source of wealth, one will possess a wealth mindset and will give. When you give, God will surely fulfill His promise, enabling you to become a capitalist, lending to many nations but borrowing from none; ruling over many nations, but not being ruled by them. You will become a capitalist, setting the rules of the game.

Ponder the most wealthy individuals. Can they be poor? I will provide an example. Some people are consumed with thoughts of themselves: I need this, I need that. These individuals cannot become wealthy, because they are preoccupied with themselves. The rule of marketing is to understand the needs of others. This world has various needs. If you can identify and fulfill one of those needs, making money becomes a very simple matter.

Poverty Mentality Leads to Wealth Turning into Poverty

When we are already wealthy but still possess a poverty mentality, you are beginning to become poor. The world will never lack poor people. Where do the poor originate from? They originate from a poverty mentality. As the saying goes, Wealth does not pass three generations. Why is that? Because even if they have money, it does not solve their future problems. If, after becoming wealthy, the subsequent generations inherit a poverty mentality, it will not be long before they become poor again.

The root of poverty is that they are under a curse of poverty. The curse of poverty comes from a poverty mentality. A poverty mentality and a wealthy mentality are two completely different logical systems. A person with a wealthy mentality will say, If you offend me, I forgive you. A person with a poverty mentality will say, If you offend me, I will seek retribution. For a person with a wealthy mentality, if you borrow money from them and cannot repay it, they will forgive the debt. After all, your wealth does not come from recovering loans.

What Hinders People from Being Blessed is Their Sin

What is this sin related to? It is when you see that the Sabbatical year of release is approaching, and you have an evil thought in your mind and do not want to forgive the debt. Not helping the poor brother, so that he cries out to the Lord God because of you, then the sin is upon you. This is how the poor come to be. If you do not help him because he is poor, he will accuse you before the Lord God, saying, God, this person has a poverty mentality. Then the sin will be upon this person, and they will be under a curse of poverty, and they will soon become poor.

You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake. For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, 'You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.' (Deuteronomy 15:10-11)

A person may be wealthy now, but there is no guarantee that they will remain wealthy. But if God blesses the work they undertake, they will surely be wealthy. Therefore I command you, 'You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.' Today, brothers and sisters, we must not have a poverty mentality. If you have a poverty mentality, you will fall into the ranks of the poor. If you fall into the ranks of the poor, you will be stuck there, and life will be difficult.

There is such a rule in this world that 20% of the people own 80% of the world's resources, and they certainly live well. What about the other 80% who own 20% of the resources? Living in such a state must be very difficult. Today, brothers and sisters, you must know that in all that you undertake, if God blesses you, you will be wealthy.

Wealth is definitely not saved up. Being frugal will not make you wealthy. Managing your mentality well will make you wealthy. The effects of a person's life come from the heart. Today, I heard a testimony in a group, and the testimony clearly showed the difference between a poverty mentality and a wealthy mentality.

Restore the Glorious Image of God

The poverty mentality and the wealthy mentality are fully demonstrated during the Sabbatical year, and when you see a poor brother. Where else are they fully demonstrated? It is when the slave you bought serves you for six years, and in the seventh year you let him go free. You shall furnish him liberally out of your flock, out of your threshing floor, and out of your winepress. As the Lord your God has blessed you, you shall give to him. As the Lord your God has blessed you, you shall give to him. (Deuteronomy 15:14) Originally, this wealthy mentality is an image inherited from God. A person with a wealthy mentality is because they have begun to have the image of God in them. In fact, our entire faith in Jesus Christ is restoring one thing, which is restoring the glorious image of God that we were originally created with. We have the image of God in us.

But some people cannot live out this image of God, and live like the devil. However stingy the devil is, they are just as stingy. However vicious the devil is, they are just as vicious. How can such a person live their life? Some people ask me, Can I go to heaven if I believe in the Lord? I said, I don't see the image of God in you, I see the image of the devil in you. If a person has the image of the devil when they are alive, they will go to hell after they die. Don't tell me that you believe in Jesus. If you believe in Jesus but do not believe in the word of God, then there is a problem. A person who believes in the word of God is definitely a person with a wealthy mentality.

If a person has the image of the devil when they are alive, they will go to hell to be with the devil after they die. If they have the glorious image of God when they are alive, they will return to the Father after they die. A wealthy mentality, this is a very crucial thing. Do you have a spiritual understanding of money? Money is a very spiritual thing. Because it is a spiritual thing that makes people wealthy and makes people poor. This is a spiritual mystery, a spiritual law, which lies in what you believe in your heart. If you believe that your wealth is earned by your own hard work, then you must guard it well. If you believe in your God, and believe that your wealth is God's blessing to you, you will distribute your wealth to bless this generation.

I have been particularly careful recently not to cultivate a poverty mentality in brothers and sisters, which is very dangerous. You forgive this slave when he leaves your house, and you have to give him liberally. Where is the logic in that? I have already suffered a great loss by letting you go free, and now I have to give you more. It is difficult for human logic to overcome this hurdle. If it is difficult for our human logic to overcome this hurdle, how can you become wealthy? You have to overcome this hurdle. After you overcome this hurdle, the image of God will be manifested in you.

But some people read the Bible in a very strange way. There is a poor way of reading the Bible, and there is also a wealthy way of reading the Bible. Some people read the Bible, Look, the Bible says that when I go out free, you have to give me a lot. The master says, Haven't I already given it to you? He says, You didn't give me much. Listen to this, they are reading the Bible for themselves. It is not that after you finish reading the Bible, you say, You have to give me more, because the Bible tells you to do so. You have to love me, because the Bible tells you to love me like this. It is all read for others. They have a poverty mentality in themselves, and they don't even know it. Brothers and sisters, you must begin to understand one thing: when you read the Bible, don't read it backwards. If you read it backwards, you will be the one with a poverty mentality. It is not okay to ask others according to the words in the Bible. The Bible says you have to give money to the poor, and I am poor, so you have to give it to me. Look at what kind of talk is this? With a poverty mentality, they will continue to be poor.

God Will Surely Bless Us in All That We Do

Today, we must understand that God will surely bless us in all that we do. This is the key. Can everyone understand? If God blesses what you do, if everything you do prospers, how can you be poor?

Before, a couple came to us. This couple was arguing, and they asked me to judge between them. When I listened, all they were conveying was a poverty mentality. That deep down, it was all a poverty mentality. At that time, I made up my mind that even if I offended them, I would definitely remove this poverty mentality. This kind of poverty mentality cannot make God bless what you do! Everything you do will be desolate. If everything you do is desolate, shouldn't you examine yourself to see where the problem is? If everything you do is desolate, and you still say with your mouth that you are praying for blessings, what are you blessing? It would be good enough if you were not conveying a curse.

In this chapter, the poverty mentality and the wealthy mentality are determined by what you do during the Sabbatical year and when the slave leaves your house free. If you have a poverty mentality, although you are wealthy today, you will be poor in the future. If you have a wealthy mentality today, although you are poor today, you will definitely be wealthy in the future.

Dedicate Things to God

The poverty mentality and the wealthy mentality are also reflected in dedicating things to God. The firstborn of the sheep and the firstborn of the cattle, everyone knows that sheep and cattle only give birth to one offspring at a time. After giving birth to the firstborn cattle or sheep, dedicate it to God. You say, I haven't given birth to the later ones yet, how can I dedicate the firstborn? Because dedicating the firstborn to God, the later ones will be blessed.

The wealthy mentality is to dedicate the firstborn to God before seeing the second and third offspring being born. These people are amazing, these people have a wealthy mentality. What is this wealthy mentality? I believe that God blesses what I do. As long as what I do is blessed, all problems are not problems.

Brothers and sisters, in any case, remove the poverty mentality from within you. Recently, I have been saying a lot, I said that making money is easy. Some people say how can it be so easy. For whom is making money easy? For those who keep the words of your God. They have a wealthy mentality within them, and the glorious image of God is also revealed in them, then in this generation, their faces are full of opportunities.

Don't think that people create the future with their own hands. People create the future with God's blessing. I believe that God blesses people. Today I can see that everything I do prospers. This is really too amazing. I recently purchased real estate. I looked out of the window of this house and found that there was a lot of congestion here every morning. How hot is this place? It is so hot that there are traffic jams every morning. When I first came here, it was very desolate, and it was difficult to find a place to eat. Not to mention cars on the street, you often couldn't see people. If you ask me how much money I made, the net value per square meter is very high, much more than ordinary wages and salaries.

Later, I also discovered a very wonderful phenomenon. Many people say that I have an eye for buying property, or that I have God's blessing in everything I do. I found that as long as I touch it, that place becomes prosperous. This is too amazing! Originally, blessings follow the blessed person. The people God wants to bless are all people with a wealthy mentality. Today, if you have a poverty mentality inside, you need to be especially careful. Why? Because a poverty mentality makes you poor.

Blessing Begins with a Wealthy Mentality

I have said so much. In fact, there are still many words in the Bible that tell us to keep and obey. But what is said in chapter 15 today is basically about the poverty mentality. A person in this world begins to understand spiritual principles and put them into practice in their lives, and this person is amazing.

In fact, I often fight against myself. Often many people come to me, and I often treat them to meals. Will treating guests to meals often make me poor? It will not make me poor! Don't worry, a blessed person will not become poor because others eat their food. I also like to treat people to meals. If the people who come can be entertained, I will treat them. Why? Because I want to be wealthy, I don't want to live a poor life. It is always better to live a wealthy life than to live a poor life. Where does blessing begin? It begins with a wealthy mentality. May God bless everyone!
