How to grasp the topic

Firstly, I will teach everyone how to read the bible, it is to grasp the topic. I have given my co-workers a weekly task to summarize the chapter of the book of Hebrews. As a result, they have written a long paragraph each week. I found that everyone has a problem with reading the bible. They have written a lot and they have no idea what the relationship between them. In this chapter, I will teach you how to grasp the topic.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV

See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:25-29 NIV

When we read this verse, we will be perplexed. “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken. We will find that this verse does not match the chapters before and after. If you want to connect all the things in this chapter, you must find a topic, and you can connect the whole chapter when you read it. For example, when we read the twelve chapters of "Hebrews", we know that this chapter is about running the heavenly journey inaugurated by the Lord Jesus for us. When we read the Bible, we all form a habit, that is to run and understand what the theme of this chapter is about.

The Key to living a beautiful life is to see through life and death

Women received back their dead, raised to life again. There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. Some faced jeers and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect. Hebrews 11:35-40 NIV

The verses clearly mentioned that accomplishing completion which these witnesses had paid a painful price for this. Why were they doing it? All because of the heavenly journey, all because to acquire an unshakable Kingdom and that is the truth of the journey.

Brothers and sisters, I would like to tell everyone to see through life and death. If we treat living as a very meaningful purpose and this kind of living has no purpose at all. If we see all things in this life such as our kids going to schools for good education, our career, our business, our boss, our husband, our wife, and our family as the most important part of our lives, in fact, we are living in burden, and they are meaningless. The only way is to get rid of all the sins that entangled us so we can run the heavenly road.

Looking back at history, Qin Shi Huang unified China more than 2000 years ago. He was very powerful but what happened to him? He died in his fifties when he was alive, he was living an unhappy life full of anxiety. We must ponder that even though all the great figures and heroes such as Tang Zong, Song Zu and Genghis Khan were looking at the present, their life was just like this and over.

The book of Ecclesiastes was well written to remind us, we should read it often, to ourselves and not to others. After reading, we must think what is the ending of the great heroes? Those who belong to the World have the Worldly views and those who belong to heaven have the heavenly views. What will happen after we died? We will be shocked after reading the bible, it turns out that death is not the end of a person. The end of a person is not the ending after dying but facing judgement after death.

I believe that after death people will be judged, some will go to hell, some will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, some will receive eternal life, and some will receive eternal punishment. Going through electrotherapy and chemotherapy is nothing compared to going to hell, being roasted every day. Even if you wish to die, you are unable to die as our soul is immortal. If you commit suicide by jumping into the sea, it is not difficult to jump into the sea, but you will not know what comes after you died. When it is the time to be tormented the eternal punishment will be beyond your imagination of a thousand times more painful than what you have suffered in this world, so forget it! It is better to keep fighting against our sins and the devil in this world to enter the kingdom of heaven to acquire the most beautiful promise. Is God’s promise real? I know it is real because I believe it is the truth from the bottom of my heart!

Walking the heavenly journey is to fight against our sins

We must understand that the only way to the kingdom of heaven is to fight against sin. If you are defeated by sin, and you will be thrown into the furnace of fire and burned in hell, or you declare victory, overcome sin and the flesh, and enter the unshakable Kingdom. Which one do you choose? If you ask me which one, should I choose? I want a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Even if one day someone wants to kill me, I will continue to run and will do my utmost best to enter this unshakable kingdom. i

Therefore, we must put off the sins that entangled us. These entanglements are our parents, children, jobs, money etc all which can be shaken. All these entanglements will come into nothing, and we can only be victorious if we see through death and do not care about death. We must live the road of the Kingdom of Heaven that Jesus Christ had initiated and completed for us. Whatever is our entanglement, we must let go of it, because these entanglements can drag us to perdition.

Do not be ignorant person but filled the understanding of God. Do not be controlled by your pastoring and ministry as God does not want you to be shaken. Please bear in your mind what cannot be shaken endures forever and God wants you to be victorious. Whatever you value dearly, you will be controlled by it. God wants us to declare victory. If we choose and value God over anything in this World, we can live a victorious life.

The sins that entangle us are our flesh and it is very hard to resist by ourselves. The heart of a foolish person is on the left and the wise man heart is on the right. By nature, our heart is on the left, this implies our battle against our sins and fighting with our flesh to ensure that we enter the Kingdom of God. What are our roots of entanglements of sufferings, tormenting and hardships? All because we are so concerned about the carnal matters. We must depend on the Holy Spirit to put our flesh completely to death.

Putting our flesh to death is not easy, Jesus hung on the cross for a long time and was very painful. The cross is used to put our flesh to death. The kingdom of heaven is for those who work hard to enter. If you do not work hard and put your flesh to death, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Do not let your children be your burden, even if your children have a good future, they will die in the end. If you want to bless your children, bring your children to the kingdom of God, and this life will not be wasted.

Living in this world is meaningless, everything will be over once we are dead. Why are we bothering with things that cannot last forever. All the money in the world is called unrighteous. We are unable to bring all these things in the world to heaven when our life in this world is over. We are so far from Jesus Christ fighting against sin.

Put the vices of our flesh to death

I believe my co-workers will be set free one by one and the process of being set free is putting the flesh to death. If you fear loss of face, then put that loss of face to death. If you are pretentious, put your pretentiousness to death. If you are fearful, put your fear to death. None of these things, we think is so important are valueless and cannot last forever. I do not need brothers and sisters to value me because what you need to value is the Kingdom of God, and you must never idolise anyone or anything.

Among us there is a sister who has been through a lot in these two years. Two years ago, I prayed for her, the spirit of death in her was very strong and the spirit of dragon was extremely strong too. When I prayed for her for five minutes, the evil spirit made me groggy, I fell asleep and could not continue to pray.

Later, I discovered that the evil spirit behind this sister was binding this sister as she had a worldly value system. Often, she suffered from strange diseases and till today she has uncountable pimples on her face. She is worried about her loss of face and concerned about meeting people with her face full of pimples. Due to her value system of worried loss of face and being degraded by others , God disciplined her to wake her. She must fight against her sin of her loss of face.

Determination is the key for us to run this heavenly path and we must eliminate our value system. Some people said I have put my sins to death and have completely removed it. In fact, you can tell by looking at that person’s health condition. I know you believe in God, but have you put your flesh to death? We must rely on the Holy Spirit to put our flesh to death so we can be holy. The Holy Spirit does not fight against evil spirits, but the Holy Spirit fights against your flesh. Why? For us to enter this unshakable kingdom.

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? Hebrews 12: 7 NIV

You cannot live well if you love the world. If you think, you do not love the world then you must follow accordingly to what God wants you to do. Dealing with our flesh is not like walking in the park, it will be absolutely biting our teeth every time we are dealing with it, but we will bear the fruits of peace. We must adjust what is within us which are not align to God’s likeness to God’s delight. You will see the lame can walk, those with sore legs can straighten their legs again and they are all healed.

All our illnesses are healed if we put our vices of flesh to death. Illness are not victory, if we cannot declare victory, we cannot claim God’s promise. Some people might ask why the woman who were bleeding was healed when she touched Jesus? She believed that her bleeding would be cured but should I not get cured too? The woman did not fight against the vices of her flesh, but you have believed in God for a while and after you have experienced God, you must put to death the vices of your flesh. Would the woman be completely healed, or the bleeding came back again? Maybe she was completely healed or maybe her bleeding relapse again. If she had chosen to run the heavenly road, she would surely have overcome and be healed.

Love the Lord our God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength

I prayed to God to testify to you, to awaken you, and letting you know that to love God, you must shepherd the flock of God! To shepherd the flock of God, you must love one another and enter a harmonious relationship. Discord is not because of anything else, but because you have a carnal nature within you. If we have a carnal nature within us, there will be no peace. If you play pretending, pretentious peace is not real peace, real peace is peace in the Holy Spirit.

As soon as we encountered something, we became discordant with our brothers and sisters. The unity we have previously was superficial which was of human’s nature. When we put to death our carnal vices, we will have peace with our brothers and sisters, and we become holy. If we are in perfect harmony with brothers and sisters and this is a unity in the Holy Spirit.

We must understand that discipline does not make us feel happy as it is dealing with our flesh. We will feel sad as it is tormenting us, as we put our flesh to death. After you deal with your flesh and put them to death, you will bear the fruit of peace. If you want to live in peace and healthy, you must be unyielding in spiritual matters and put our flesh to death.

See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. Even though he sought the blessing with tears, he could not change what he had done. Hebrews 12:15-17 NIV

When a person believes in the Lord and then loses God’s grace will be exactly like Esau.

Victorious battle and entering an Unshakable Kingdom

If a person believes in the Lord and then forsakes God, is an evil thing. This type of person basically has no hope so we must be very careful, fear God, run forward as hard as we can and do not retreat.

But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved. Hebrews 10: 39 NIV

Today, we are running this heavenly road to see the face of the Lord and if we are not holy, we are unable to see the Lord’s face. This heavenly road is not easy to walk but believe me this worldly road is even more difficult. This road to heaven has many obstacles to overcome due to enemies surrounding us but we will not be trapped by the enemies. Though we have difficulties, we will not be disappointed. It is not an easy road, but it is a glorious road. All our sufferings are temporary to gain the eternal glory. What a worthy thing to do!

to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. Hebrews 12:23-24 NIV

Brothers and sisters now you know how much God loves us. This is also the reason why I love God because I know He loves us so much. God has inspired me with His love, I will stand before God to please Him with my utmost best. We need to have an attitude of reverence, gratitude, and pleasing God.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29for our “God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:28 NIV

This means that our God is the real God. If you are not holy, you cannot see the face of the Lord. If you are a carnal person, you cannot enter the kingdom of God. Let us run with all our might just as our Lord Jesus run.

Discipline is out of love

The heavenly road is extremely difficult, you and I have worked hard to run this heavenly journey, but it is also extremely meaningful. Do not be discouraged and at this moment we are showing our faith and our love to God. We are fighting against sins, and we are far from resisting to the point of bleeding. Even if it is bleeding, what is it? Amazingly, the spirit of victory has been given to us, the promise of victory has been given to us; the strength to overcome has been given to us from God.

If God disciplines us, we accept this discipline. It is not punishment but discipline. He wants to put our flesh to death because He loves us and wants to bring us into His eternal kingdom. What a wonderful thing ! God has prepared even better things for us. For those who put themselves forward with faith, share with us this unshakable kingdom. What a amazing thing!

The Jerusalem we see in the future will be the church of God’s glory, becoming the body of Jesus Christ, filled with the Spirit of God, and enjoying God’s eternal glory.
