【Bible Study】Genesis 08: God's will is prosperity, not destruction!

Bible Study: Genesis

Introduction

Hello everyone, let's take a look at Genesis chapter 8. What is the most memorable thing about Genesis chapter 8? The most memorable thing is that everyone died and was destroyed by a flood. We may have the illusion that our God is a God of destruction, that he likes to kill and destroy. But I want to tell you that God's will is prosperity, not destruction. God doesn't really like destruction, but it is people who force God to destroy them.

Many people who have cancer, are dying, are sick, are depressed, or have nothing to do and are just talking nonsense, all think that their experiences are God's will. Actually, they are just making themselves die! So brothers and sisters, can we set our minds and clearly understand that God's will is prosperity? Do you want to prosper? Can you not prosper if you follow God's path?

Brothers and sisters, we need to re-establish our understanding of God. Don't think that God destroyed that generation and saved Noah and his family of eight, and that his will is destruction. Do you want to be destroyed or blessed by God? God has created many vessels, some of which are used for destruction. If you think that God is a God of destruction, then you are the vessel that will be destroyed. What you believe in, you will receive.

If you believe that God is a God who makes you prosperous, then you will prosper. If you believe that God is a God who destroys you, then you will surely suffer destruction. Therefore, what you believe in God is what you will find God to be. The theme of Genesis chapter 8 is that God's will is prosperity, not destruction! I have always believed that God is a God who makes me prosper. I love my God very much and I know that he is a good God who takes care of me.

Does God Really Like Destruction

If we take a close look, there are many things that God has destroyed. Not only did God destroy all the gods in this world, but even the people of Israel, who came out of Egypt, were often destroyed by God because they did not know the way of prosperity and success, and liked to be enemies of God.

Today I want to share something from my heart with all of you. I am someone who really likes to say that I didn't get it right. I want to tell you that we must know that what we think is right may often be what we got wrong. Can you learn one thing from me today, that is, to often think that you didn't get it right! Don't be stubborn, if you didn't get it right, you didn't get it right. What I hate the most is when I tell someone they did something wrong, and they explain: "No, it's because of this, because of that, I thought it was like this," and so on. I really want to beat you up.

I think that brothers and sisters, we should always interact with God and people with a logical system in mind, which is that I haven't got this right! What does it mean to get this right? Don't always think that you are right; it's very annoying. In recent years, I have been hoping to meet someone who can lead me, especially when I was young. Finally, I met someone who was very good. When it was time for lunch, I went to the restaurant and saw him. I went over and learned from him whatever I could. I wouldn't argue with him or explain that it wasn't like that, but like this!

So do you know why I grew up quickly and was blessed? The reason is simple: I grew well and often thought that I didn't get it right. Can a tractor become an airplane just by adding wings? No, it's still a tractor. Does God like to destroy things? No, God doesn't like to destroy things! It's because people often get things wrong and become enemies of God. They often argue with God and compete with him. Sometimes I meet people who want to compete with me, but we are not on the same level, so what's the point of competing? People are always like this. When they are at a lower level, they can't see through it and think that everyone is at the same level as them.

We need to know that God likes to prosper, not to destroy. Even if God destroys one after another, I know that God's will for me is to prosper. Today we know that when we step onto the stage, we need to be down-to-earth. If a ghost comes up, I'll knock it down; if another ghost comes up, I'll knock it down again! Because I know that my God is the one who makes me prosper. I know that God will remember me and be gracious to me. Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. No matter what happens, we must believe that God is the God who remembers us.

God is the God Who Remembers Us

God is the God who makes people flourish, and then God remembers me. I didn't get it right, but God doesn't really mind, and God will help me get it right, but I have to believe in my God. In a very desolate situation, sometimes brothers and sisters in the church come to me and say, "Teacher, a friend asked me which church I go to," and I answer evasively, "I go to a very small church." When I hear this, I think to myself, "Don't you know the pastor you are following is a pastor with a vision? I believe my God will remember me."

We, this small group of people, will definitely be able to establish a church that glorifies God in the future, because I know my God. When others ask us about our church in the future, we won't hesitate to answer because we have faith. In that era, in that extremely desolate situation, in my faith, I have already seen a glorious church. I can see that God will use me and remember me and raise me up among all nations! I have this faith. You know, Noah's family of eight was not quarantined in a city or a neighborhood, they were locked up in a ship! On all sides was an endless sea. Day after day, listening to the sound of the waves crashing.

It wasn't just one day or two days, they were isolated in the zoo! A family of eight ate barbecue with the animals in the zoo. If you don't believe that God remembers us, you will complain and ask, "God, have you forgotten us? Where have you gone?" But God remains silent. Do you know that feeling? We pray and ask God, "Where are you?" God sees a thousand years as a day, and a day as a thousand years. If God takes a nap, Noah's family will become mummies and disappear. Did Noah's family go crazy inside? No, they didn't.

Among us, there are some people who always have their own pursuits, their own core interests, and as they pursue them, they end up opposing God and going crazy. That's not the way to do it because you don't believe in God. Today, being a Christian is not because we heard God tell us something, or saw some vision, or felt the hairs on our body stand up, it's faith! It's believing in our hearts like that.

A long time ago, some brothers and sisters evaluated me like this, "This kid wants to do something, he'll definitely get it done." I said, "You guys have good insight." I will definitely get it done. I will build a church and become the ceiling of the church world. I have this faith because it is God's will. When the brothers and sisters in the church say to me, "Teacher, I went to someone else's church, and their stage is bigger than ours." I tell you, it's really great! They invited a famous singer to sing a song, it was amazing! Their drum set, their guitarist, their lead singer, their backing vocals and their harmonies were really great! And I'm still off-key when I sing! But I don't care because I have faith in my heart.

One day, two days, one hundred days, two hundred days, one thousand days, sometimes it can be really hopeless. Crying and praying, tears can fill the water bottle, not knowing which day God can make me prosper. But I know that there will be that day. This is how Noah felt in the ark because he didn't know which day would come, God didn't tell him, so he persevered with faith. When God let them out, they came out. When that day really came, it felt too fast!

I found that all these great figures in the Bible were supported by faith. You have to use your faith to support yourself! Know that God remembers you. God will not doze off and forget you, nor will he forget you on vacation. For a thousand years is as a day, and a day is as a thousand years, if God takes a day off for vacation, you may turn into a mummy after a thousand years. God remembers us, and he will not forget us for a day. I thank my God, he has never forgotten me for a day.

God remembered Noah, and every day God would say, "Noah, you are a righteous man of this generation, you are a person of faith," and God never forgot him for a second. I also hope that brothers and sisters can deeply understand that you may not know how many days are ahead of you, you may really be short of money, really not prosperous, really hope to turn things around tomorrow, you may have gotten sick today, and it's even a terminal illness, often in pain at night, feeling uncomfortable, you don't know which day you will be healed. But we know that God will remember us. One hundred and fifty days have passed, we don't know how many days are ahead, and then Noah continued to persevere, relying on what? Relying on faith.

Perseverance Through Faith

The Doctrine of Destiny has an important trait called endurance. It is a character that has endured many years of tears, hardships, and injustices, but it is fueled by a glorious hope in their hearts.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. (Romans 5:3-4)

Suffering produces perseverance is the characteristic of The Doctrine of Destiny. Brothers and sisters, I know how you feel, but I want to tell you that it is only through faith in God and God's remembrance of you that you can persevere.

Don't worry about the different attempts, bite your teeth, stomp your feet, and endure for another day. If you can endure one day, you can endure two. Sometimes you may fall and feel hopeless, even to the point of banging your head against a wall, but with a little effort and faith, your confidence may return tomorrow. When that day comes, you will cry like I did. God is a wonderful God. Brothers and sisters, let's restore our faith together. That faith can sustain us until God's glory is revealed, and God's good will is fulfilled.

There was a sister who couldn't do anything right, no matter what she tried. I asked her to study, but she couldn't learn anything. It was tough! But thank God, she endured until today. Now she works as a domestic worker in someone's home and does well. She started doing live broadcasts and short videos, and although she doesn't have many fans, she earns over a thousand yuan a month. Every time I think about it, I'm especially grateful to God because I have confidence in all of you. A few days ago, there was a sister who had been in Taiwan for over a decade with no income or savings. She came a long way and found a job. She was overwhelmed by everything she had to do. I scolded her a few times, but she later told me that she had found a job and her salary had increased significantly. Thank God.

Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. (Psalm 126:5)

Sometimes I may scold you, but I tell you, your potential has not yet been fully realized. You must know that God's will for you is to prosper.

God's Will is to Flourish

Persevere until the day comes, because God's will for you is to flourish.

By the twenty-seventh day of the second month the earth was completely dry. Then God said to Noah, “Come out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives. Bring out every kind of living creature that is with you—the birds, the animals, and all the creatures that move along the ground—so they can multiply on the earth and be fruitful and increase in number on it.”(Genesis 8:14-17)

Don't look down on yourself anymore. Don't always feel like you haven't grown in a long time. Even if you haven't grown in a long time, you will surely flourish. I'm a bit excited as I speak, because the days of flourishing are so wonderful. If you persevere to this point, you should thank God, and even if you're still persevering, you should still thank God. Today, brothers and sisters, become people with destiny, become people who offer themselves to God, for there is no flourishing outside of destiny. I know you may be thinking about money, but money cannot make you flourish. If you think about God in your heart, God will make you flourish. That's the secret to my flourishing.

A few days ago, I received a message from a sister among us. She said, "Teacher, I know you don't like this person among us." Hey, why wouldn't I like her? I really like her in my faith, because I'm sure she will flourish, but I need to correct her bad habits. What does it mean not to like someone? It means that I don't like her bad habits, but in my faith, brothers and sisters, you owe me a favor because I have so much confidence in you, so you flourished.

God's will for me is to flourish, and God's will for you is also to flourish. You may not know it yet, but I have to tell you that someday you will come out of decay and begin to walk the path of faith! Even if everyone dies, God's will is still to flourish. If you have faith inside, you will surely flourish. God's will for you has not yet been fulfilled, but someday it will be fulfilled.

Someone said, "Pastor, I always fail my interviews!" Well, you're lucky, I'll arrange for someone to serve you and teach you how to interview. Perseverance produces character, and character produces maturity, and that's called faith. Do we know God's will? From now on, don't always think you're right, don't stand up and make excuses, and then argue with God, or compete with God, and become a vessel that reveals God's anger. Today, enter into God's will. God created Adam and Eve, and later Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and all the great people of those generations, and who among them did not flourish? God is so good!

The Way to Prosperity is Sacrifice

Starting from today, I offer myself as a living sacrifice. Not a sacrifice of oxen, sheep, ducks or chickens, but as a living sacrifice. Adam and Eve gave birth to Cain and Abel. Cain's offering led to a series of tragedies. The path to prosperity is through sacrifice. When Noah emerged from the ark after waiting day after day, it was not a time for barbecue or rejoicing. Instead, the first thing he did was to offer a sacrifice because God remembered them. All of God's plans for us are accomplished through sacrifice. Why do I encourage everyone to learn to be a dedicated person? Because it is the path to prosperity.

If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” (Genesis 4:7)

How do you control sin? Offer a good sacrifice, offer yourself to God, and sin will not have power over you. God will bless you.

Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. (Genesis 8:20)

Offering oneself is pleasing to God and is holy. It is the path to prosperity. You don't need to come to me and say, "Teacher, I offer myself as a sacrifice." Do you think I care? I don't care. What I care about is that you can walk in God's will and prosper! Some people sell durians, some sell oil, and some even sell weapons. Ukraine is at war, do you want to sell weapons too? I am amazed that people are so focused on money and making big deals that they do not want to offer themselves as living sacrifices.

To give completely and without reservation is called a burnt offering. Some people wonder how to live this way, but I am doing just fine. I came into this world to bless others. God understands our hearts. We do not seek our own fame, but God will make our names great. The Doctrine of Destiny is destined to become a theology that displays the glory of God in this generation. The Doctrine of Destiny is not a theology of grace, not a theology of the Holy Spirit, nor a theology of the Gospel. The Doctrine of Destiny is a theology of complete dedication, a theology of offering oneself as a living sacrifice.

It is difficult not to prosper if you follow the examples of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Today we are prosperous, and we are becoming more and more prosperous, able to bless more and more people. There will be more and more Abrahams, Isaacs, Jacobs, Josephs, and Apostle Pauls. Everyone will begin to look like Jesus Christ. This is where we need to mention the importance of according to its kind. You can't be a prosperous person if you do things in an extremely chaotic manner. People should know that according to its kind is a basic requirement to do things in an organized manner.

Let's develop the habit of being organized in our work. Remember, unclear goals, unclear strategies, and wrong methods are the root cause of all failures. Why do goals need to be clear? Because everything has its own kind. Clear goals, clear strategies, and appropriate methods are necessary to do things right. If the goal is unclear, everything else is pointless. If the goal is clear, but the strategy is unclear, nothing can be accomplished. If the goal and strategy are right, but the methods are wrong, it's also pointless. If a plane has a broken part, it's enough to give you trouble. I hope my brothers and sisters can develop this habit.

We will invest a lot of resources in training our brothers and sisters to adopt this habit. There is a great shortage of talent people in this market. All business owners, managers, and senior executives face the same problem of finding talent people. The other day, I met a boss who asked me if I could create a platform to find talent. He hired two people who were not talented and were just idiots. This world, this market does not treat those who love God unfairly. It's not religious called loving God. You have to be organized and clear.

“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” (Genesis 8:22)

Everything must be orderly, neat and tidy, even the weather will listen to you. I hope that my brothers and sisters can live for God.

Conclusion

Living for God is incredibly good because that is the path of sacrifice, and sacrifice is the path of prosperity. The path of prosperity itself is the will of God. Be a person with a destiny. There is a saying in The Doctrine of Destiny: there is no blessing outside of destiny. Brothers and sisters, living for God, you will be filled with hope. No matter what stage you are at today, you will be filled with hope. Don't be the kind of person who lives for God one moment and for yourself the next. Some people say, "Oh, I'm retired now." I ask, "How old are you?" "Fifty!" That's still a lot younger than me. Why retire? Is eating, drinking, and waiting to die interesting? Start living for God, start knowing that you can overcome the devil by relying on God. Even overcome cancer, disease, and everything!

May God bless you all!
