The Authority in the Kingdom of God Can Set People Free

Authority and Power Can Command Impure Spirit

There is no dominion over the kingdom of heaven, for its authority and power can command demons. A man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet Jesus, this man had completely lost his faith and freedom. The reason why the demons brought people to Jesus was because of the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven. The power of Jesus would attract demons everywhere He went. Today, we have to know that demons are very stupid. Demons would not have been cast out if they had resisted. The demon did not resist because it was the act of God to reveal His power.

Authority and Power Can Attract People Who are Ruled by Demons

For those people who are ruled by demons, they do not have any faith but through the faith, power and authority of Jesus Christ. There is something very important in the kingdom of heaven which is called authority. Authority is a privilege and the manifestation of God. The kingdom of heaven itself is a kind of authority, so we have the power to command the demons in the kingdom of God. After we cast out demons for a person, if he or she doesn't believe in God, then the demons will deceive him or her again. A man who was previously possessed by demons and healed by God should always keep in this mind: whenever you have no faith in God, you will lose the grace of God at any time.

Make a Decision to Follow Jesus Christ

People without freedom and faith can be released under the authority of Jesus Christ. It is not difficult to release a man who is ruled by an impure spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, we can cast out demons and the person will be set free. However, we need to decide whether to follow Jesus or not.

As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you." So, the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed. (Mark 5:18-20)

There is a lesson worth learning in this process: those people without faith need to be set free because this is one of the characteristics of the kingdom of heaven. Whenever we regain our freedom, we must make the right decision to follow our Lord.

Christians Who Were Ruled by Demons of Fear

In the first part of the book of The Final Quest, there was a detailed description of how Christians are used by demons to attack the church.

Trailing behind these first divisions was a multitude of other Christians who were prisoners of this army. All of these were wounded and were guarded by smaller demons of Fear. There seemed to be more prisoners than there were demons in the army. Surprisingly, these prisoners still had their swords and shields, but they did not use them. It was a shock to see that so many could be kept captive by so few of the little demons of Fear. If the Christians had just used their weapons they could have easily freed themselves and probably done great damage to the entire evil horde. Instead, they marched submissively along.

The only food provided for these prisoners was the vomit from the vultures. Those who refused to eat it simply weakened until they fell. Those who did eat it were strengthened for a time, but with the strength of the evil one. Then they would weaken unless they would drink the waters of bitterness that were constantly being offered to them. After drinking the bitter waters, they would then begin to vomit on the others. When one of the prisoners began to do this, a demon that was waiting for a ride would climb up on him and would ride him up to one of the front divisions. (The Final Quest Chapter 1)

In this case, Rick Joyner gave us some advice: "There is no way to command the demons to come out, all you have to do is leave this person alone because if you touch this person again, demons will become more powerful and Christian who is ruled by the demon will become angrier. This is what Rick Joyner was talking about when Christians are ruled by demons.

Realize the Value of Life

Another situation arises when people are released: how people react. People who are still worldly, think two thousand pigs are more valuable than a man. In the kingdom of God, a man who was set free is priceless. Jesus saw the preciousness of human life; He did not care about the value of two thousand pigs. The truth is that the two thousand pigs only represent certain values, but they do not represent life. Human life is priceless and precious in the eyes of God. When Noah went out of the ark and made a covenant with God: if an animal kills a man, then the animal must be killed as well.

And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being. "Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind. (Genesis 9:5-6)

We are honourable in the eyes of God because we were made in the image of God. Do you value people or certain things? If you value money more than human life, then you are still worldly.

Be the Blessing of Your Family

As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you." So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed. (Mark 5:18-20)

Why Jesus did not allow the man who had been demon-possessed to go with him? It is because when Jesus asks you to tell others, people have their thinking which is not something that Jesus wants. Jesus let the man go home because He knew there were many others in this man's family who needed the gospel. The impure spirit came out from this man and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and drowned. Where did the demons go? They went to the man's family. I could be wrong but I strongly believe that Jesus remembered this man and his family. In my ministrations, I realized that when demons came out from a person, they will look for the people he or she is closest to.

Some time ago, one of the sisters shared with me a story about her father who did not worship idols with her grandmother and did not believe those evil things, but her two aunts were close to her grandmother and followed. As a result, two aunts were injured and suffered from broken bones without any reason. She said: "Thanks to God! My father is too lazy to follow what my grandmother is doing." I was wondering if this sister was chosen by God and born into this family to be the salvation of her family. In the book of Joshua, there was a woman called Rahab. Her family was saved because Rahab feared God, this is something beyond our imagination! Today, I believe God has chosen you and me to become the salvation of the family.

The Man Ruled by Demons

There are several characteristics of the man who came out of the burial ground after being possessed by the demons. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Where did this strength come from? Not because of the muscles but the strength of the spirit.

This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. (Mark 5:3-4)

What happened when this man was ruled by demons? Night and day among the tombs and in the hills, he would cry out and cut himself with stones. If the spirit lives in a man, there will be some strange phenomena that we cannot explain. All these are under the control of the spirit which makes people feel as if they are not living. Today, we need to open our spiritual eyes and start to see that you and I have the authority in our hands to release those who are ruled by demons.

No Sickness in the Kingdom of Heaven

Faith Will Turn On the Power of God

In the book of Luke, a woman had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better, she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak. Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

I can tell you, anyone who hears about Jesus is the good news from the kingdom of heaven. For example, one of the sisters heard about Jesus from another sister in our church. She had hope inside of her heart: "Oh yes, I will be saved." Before I called her for praying, she had faith in God that she would be healed.

When we preach the good news to those who are sick, we should not preach words that destroy the faith. Instead, our main aim is building faith because faith can release the power of God. Jesus gave strict orders not to let anyone know about what He did, but the words were spread eventually. Many people heard about Jesus and came to Jesus and were healed. Later I found out that those who were healed were all with a strong desire and hope, the stronger the desire, the faster the healing.

It is very difficult for a certain kinds of people to get healed. If a person is possessed by demons to the point of being confused, we do not need his faith. If a person has an illness or disease and stays conscious but there is no desire in his or her mind to get healed. This person should die because there is nothing you can do about it. All we can do is let this person listen to what Jesus had done.

Yesterday, one of the sisters joined our church and started to pray for the first time. I was sharing some testimonies with her about how people in our church got healed. I didn't pray for her in the first twenty minutes because I believed I have built up her faith in God. And I said to her: "I will pray for you." Ten minutes later, she got healed. I thought this was something amazing. When you meet someone in need, the first thing is to build up his or her faith and share with this person what Jesus had done to us. After she heard about Jesus, her faith will be built up and the sickness will no longer be a problem.

The Healing Power Does Not Require Jesus' Permission

Sometimes, people got confused: "Even doctors cannot heal this woman, how dare you?" I have to say that: "Not me, it was Jesus who healed this woman." Whenever you have strong desire and faith, just like this bleeding woman who touched Jesus' clock, immediately her bleeding stopped.

Jesus did not know who touched Him, nor prayed for this woman. Just because this woman touched Jesus, the power had gone out from Him. This is a great revelation to me, the healing power in the kingdom of heaven does not require Jesus' permission. If you have faith, you will be able to attract the power of God.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

We can assume God does not need to approve healing again. As long as you believe that you will be healed by touching Jesus, He doesn't need to say: "I did not approve of this." This is called: "Default".

Preach the Gospel of Healing

Today, when you go out to preach the gospel, be sure to preach the healing. Can you imagine how many people got sick? One of the sisters, the doctor said that she was over 20 years old but her body was more than 50 years old and her internal organs were all in bad condition. Because of the prayers, her body has been recovered progressively and her family members began to believe in the Lord as well. There is nothing better than the gospel of healing. Remember that there is no sickness in the kingdom of heaven. May the kingdom of heaven be in our family, let's preach the gospel of healing and start to deliver a message that our Lord Jesus Christ is the God who can heal us.

Grow in the Faith and Stand Firm in the Faith

Jesus had acquiesced, so we preach as it is. Jesus said, "Who touched me?" Jesus could not have asked. The problem was that the bleeding woman was not fully healed. If Jesus did not ask, the bleeding woman would have lived with a lifetime of shame because her faith had not been strengthened. You will notice that Jesus did not stop her from spreading the words to others, nor gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this. But the bleeding woman knew what was being done to her and trembled with fear because many strange feelings in her did not go out.

He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering." (Mark 5:34)

Some brothers and sisters got healed, but if you think his faith is not strong enough, tell him not to spread the word. The question is why not let anyone know about this? Because it will destroy faith easily and the illness and disease will surely come back again. That was the reason why Jesus gave strict orders not to let anyone know about it. For example, my back got healed after praying, a question came to my mind: "How did my back got healed? I saw a big hole with a broken joint. I shouldn't have been able to walk." If your faith is not strong enough, you should not argue with others because you will be more confused and start thinking that is something impossible.

The Power of the Kingdom of God Can Overcome Death

Different Definitions of Death

From a medical point of view, the dead are dead. As Christians, we look at it from a spiritual perspective: a person is not dead but just fell asleep. Why did Jesus say the child is not dead but asleep? Because Jesus has spiritual eyes, and He can put that person's soul back into that person's life, and that person will come back to life again. That is to say, the definition of death in heaven is completely different from the definition of death on earth. Today, do you believe what Jesus said about death or do you still believe what the doctor said?

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. (John 6:63)

Death is about a person's soul has separated from God. What will keep us alive is the Spirit lives in our bodies, we will die when the Spirit leaves us.

My mother, who was eighty years old, prayed with me faithfully. However, it took a lot of effort for me to change her mind because she often lived carnally. In my hometown, there was a free physical examination for the elders and my mom went there for a check-up. And I asked her: "Why are you checking your body?" You may disagree with me and I don't care about it. My point is very clear: how Jesus will think of it? If you are going to the hospital for a physical examination, Jesus will examine your spirit. If a person has problems with his body, but the spirit inside the person is thriving, then the person will not have any problems. My mother took an X-ray of her back spine, and the doctor thought she was going to be paralyzed. Eventually, it did not happen. Why? It was because of the power of Jesus supporting her joint. Therefore, we need to know that it is the Spirit that can keep us alive today.

Live According to the Spiritual Logic

Someone asked me: "Pastor, I got better when you prayed for my cervical spondylosis. However, when I went to the hospital for examination, why the shape of my spine is not normal?" I replied: "You are still alive today not because your spine got healed, it is because of the power of Jesus supporting your spine." We must have faith today, remember that bleeding woman who touched Jesus and got healed? Are you living according to the logic of the body or the logic of the Spirit? You have to make a choice and start thinking today.

The demons will always try to deceive us, and we will get in trouble when we are deceived. If you are still living carnally, you are a person who sees things through physical conditions. If you are looking at things in terms of spiritual principles, then you would have solved the problem. The little girl in this chapter is not dead but asleep, because her soul came out of her body. Jesus put her soul back in, the child came back to life. There is no death in the kingdom of heaven, we need the kingdom of God to come upon us, and not live in the flesh anymore. The only real death is the separation in the consciousness of the soul from God.
