【Bible Study】Proverbs 30: This Is A Man of Wisdom!

Bible Study: Proverbs

Introduction

Hello everyone, today, let's continue with the book of Proverbs chapter 30. When I ask people if they want to be smart, the answer is always yes. Do you want to gain knowledge? Do you want to have wisdom? Do you want to have a good understanding of things? Do you want to have a good learning calibre? Everyone says yes as it's a good thing. Then I encourage all of you to read the book of Proverbs Carefully.

The book of Proverbs is talking about learning and understanding the knowledge of God, and gaining the wisdom of God. If you want to gain the access to the wisdom of God, you start with Proverbs. Proverbs is a wonderful book.

Today we are looking at chapter 30 which is an interesting chapter.

The sayings of Agur son of Jakeh—an inspired utterance. This man’s utterance to Ithiel: “I am weary, God, but I can prevail. Surely I am only a brute, not a man; I do not have human understanding. I have not learned wisdom, nor have I attained to the knowledge of the Holy One. (Proverbs 30:1-3)

If you read this part, then you may wonder who this person was and how he could write Proverbs. How could he write a proverb? He did not have the wisdom, the knowledge or the understanding. Then why should I learn from him? This is not the point.

In the past, when we were looking at Proverbs chapter 1 to chapter 29, I often quoted, "I do not have a good understanding. And I do not understand. I don't have the wisdom and I don't have the knowledge and I don't understand." As a result, some people say, "Pastor, if you don't understand, why do you teach us? How come you can teach us?" This is not the point. The point is I know what I do not know. That's why I search for the word of God and I search for understanding.

If I am content with what I know, I would not be able to move forward. Some people say, " Pastor, five years ago you were talking about this and this year you are talking about a different viewpoint." Then they ask, which is right or which is wrong? Because they think I'm not consistent in my teaching.

I have renewed myself compared to five years ago, and this year is a new year for me. I'm gaining a new understanding because five years ago I did not have it. But I have it five years later. And 10 years ago, I knew I did not know enough. There are many things I do not know. The view I had five years ago represents the understanding I had five years ago. That understanding will be different from my understanding now. The word of God never changes, but the understanding of the word of God will be renewed again and again. When you refer to the Bible, you need to renew your mind. So don't ask these kinds of questions.

So, I say to myself that I need to search more and more. What is the author trying to tell us about chapter 30?

Surely I am only a brute, not a man; I do not have human understanding. (Proverbs 30:2)

What a humble beginning! Yes, this is a humble beginning. Is the author talking about reality? In reality, this is a fact. A lot of people are not men, they're only brutes and do not have human understanding and never learn wisdom, and never attained to the knowledge of the Holy One. That's why they are the same as what they were 10 years ago. This is not the point of Agur, nor the point of the author.

The point the author tried to make was admitting that he was only a brute and not a man. That's why now I need to search for God. My brother and sister, you need to search for it and keep renewing your mind, you will know more and more. This is the exact foundation piece of the Doctrine of Destiny.

The Doctrine of Destiny has our own way of interpreting the Bible, our own way of understanding the word of God, and one of the foundation pieces is we will search all the way, and we will never stop. We learned that if we really believe we are only a brute, not a man, we do not have human understanding. We have not learned wisdom, and we have not attained to the knowledge of the Holy One.

Do you know what happened? We have to pull ourselves together and search for it and keep pressing on which is what God wants us to be. And this is exactly what the man of wisdom is like. A man of wisdom is a man who knows his own limitations and then will search for God. God will impart knowledge, understanding and wisdom to human beings. This is the point I want to make.

Asking questions then search for answers

A man of wisdom is knowing your limitations. You are just a mere brute, not even a man. So I'm not going to stay here, I'm going to ask questions and search for the word of God. I need to understand the word of God and gain wisdom from God. This is what the author is trying to tell us.

Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind? Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his son? Surely you know! “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar. (Proverbs 30:4-6)

This is the part that I am going to emphasize in which the question was raised by the author. Who had gone up to heaven? This is a question. Who had come down? And whose hand can gather up the wind? and who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the Earth and what is his name and what is the name of his son?

When you search for these you ask good questions. Then you know every word of God is flawless and he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar. This is a very interesting part. When you raise questions, if you do not know the answers, never mind, but search for the answers. The author came to a conclusion that does not add to His words. Because the word of God is very unique. You cannot add human things to the word of God, but adding to the word of God is very common.

In the past 2000 or even 3000 years, and ever since Moses in the Old Testament, it was like that. In the New Testament, it is still the same. Do not add to His words or God will rebuke you and prove you a liar. Because the word of God forms a system. What does the system look like? The system is totally integrated.

If you read the teaching of Jesus Christ and the teaching of the apostle Paul, you will know they are one system. If you compare the system revealed by Moses and our Lord Jesus Christ and the apostle Paul, then you will know they align within one system. If they are not in the same system, it's considered an add-on. If you add on, it will not belong to the system and there will be a problem. Whoever adds to the words that do not belong to the part of the words, there will be a big problem. God will rebuke you and prove you a liar.

Knowing the whole system is very important! By asking these kinds of questions and searching for answers within the word of God, then you would know the answers.

Let me share with you the view of the Doctrine of Destiny or the Doctrine of Ming Ding. I am the one who founded this, but it is not a new invention. I’m trying to summarize the integrated system from the word of God, from Genesis to the book of Revelation. You will see a complete picture. Let me share with you my view.

My view is that Genesis is the foundation of the whole Bible. The first 11 chapters are the foundation of the book of Genesis. The first three chapters of Genesis are the foundation of the first 11 chapters. The first chapter of Genesis is the foundation of the first three chapters. You may or may not accept my view, but let me explain to you why.

Since Moses tried to write Genesis, God never changed. We are not dismantling the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament. The God who revealed himself in Proverbs, and the God who revealed himself in the book of Revelation, the God who revealed himself in the book of Genesis are the same. That's why the Doctrine of Destiny takes an integrated view. The whole Bible is a complete system.

People may ask how I am going to form a complete system. To start, you take all the repeated words of each book of the Bible, then you will see a framework. For example, Genesis Chapter One says God sees everything is good. So this is the view of God. Secondly, God is doing things all according to their kind. “ According to their kind” is a repeated word. So you know that is the image of God. God created a human being in the image of God. What is the image of God? The image of God does things according to their kinds, according to a proper plan, according to a good view. Way before all the creations, God already saw things in a good way, even though everything was in chaos. God knew in the end, the world would be created out of chaos.

So we know that things are accomplished according to what God said. If God says this, then it will be done accordingly. We carry the image of God. That was the beginning. When human beings ate the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, they lost the image of God and Salvation. What is Salvation? Salvation is to try to restore the image of God. A lot of people think Salvation is going to heaven after death. But the Doctrine of Destiny is sharing a different view. The view is from Genesis chapter one that recovering the lost image of God is Salvation.

God is the God of people who are alive! God is not the God of death. So when we are alive, we need to search for God, search for the word of God and understand we carry the image of God and how am I going to restore this image? We need to build a church, the body of Christ.

So, if you read through the whole Bible, you dig up the keyword and you would know that the Book of Revelation is talking about victorious churches. The churches that overcome. And that is the desire and the will of God. Building a victorious church will be full of glory. The book of Exodus is talking about the Army of God that came out of Egypt. The book of numbers is talking about only those people who could carry the weapon and fight in battles are counted. The book of Deuteronomy is talking about blessings and curses.

So we are searching through the whole Bible, we know the New Testament is talking about the body of Christ. The shadow of the New Testament Church, the body of Christ, when the time comes, everything will eventually become one with our Lord Jesus Christ. And they call the word. Hence why once we're talking about the church, the body of Christ, then we know this is one complete system.

If you read more about the Doctrine of Destiny or Doctrine of Ming Ding, then you will know this is a complete system. and we will. We will discover that if something is not inside the system, then it’s considered an add-on. That’s why we follow the teaching of the apostle Paul. That’s called wisdom. that they call wisdom. You should search for it. Are you a man of searching? Yes! We are men of searching. Why do we study the book of Genesis? We have a list of our own definitions. Because we are people who believe we do not know, we do not have the understanding and we do not have the wisdom. We need God! We take refuge in our God! He will become our shield and will reveal himself to us.

If you wonder how I know? How do I know? Through the power of the Holy Spirit. If you read the Bible carefully, people think they are someone in the eyes of God, then they will be no one. When people think they are no one, God will lift them and make them someone. That’s why we need to search for it, and ask questions. Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Whose hands have gathered up the wind? Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth?

And this is God, and this is God with them. This is the God of wisdom.

“Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar. (Provers 30:5-6 NIV)

We are not dismounting the Word, we are integrating the Word and forming a framework, forming a complete system. Today is not the place where I am going to talk about the system of the doctrine of destiny. Let me continue with Proverbs 30. What I am trying to stress is knowing that you don't have wisdom. If you think you have wisdom, and you are someone, God will think you are no one, and you take refuge in him, and God will become your shield. This is a typical story.

We are weak, and we need God

When Moses thought he was someone, he was no one, until he escaped and started shepherding the flock for his father-in-law for 40 years. And then he knew he was no one, and God used Moses. Moses is the one who, through his hand, performed huge amounts of miracles, beyond our imaginations.

If you view it like this, let me read something for you.

"Two things I ask of you, O LORD; do not refuse me before I die: Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonour the name of my God.' (Proverbs 30:7-9 NIV)

When you read this, you see that the author is presenting an idea that I may dishonour the Lord. That is not something he is so sure about. He prays that "God, I ask two things, neither make me rich or poor. Give me my daily bread." This is the Lord's prayer, "give me my daily bread". We need God every day, and we know our weakness, and we know we live in the flesh. This is exactly the view of Paul. Let me read it for you.

I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. (1 Corinthians 2:3-5 NIV)

And this is very powerful. These few sentences are so powerful that I quote them repeatedly. And I know that this is very important for you and me. You see, the Apostle Paul came to Corinth, and saw the Corinthians and established a church, the Corinthian church. He established it in weakness, and great fear and trembling. Do you see this? Another verse is talking about this.

Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12 NIV)

And this is the same view. It is aligned with Proverbs 30, the author is talking about the same thing. But I have to mention another figure, who is very famous; his name is called Peter. And Peter became a very good educational material. In the gospel of Luke, chapter 22 verses 33-34.

But he replied, “Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and death.” Jesus answered, “I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me.” (Luke 22:33-34 NIV)

Build the church for the name of God, according to the Word of God

Look at the doctrine of destiny. You would never know my name, I would never preach my name, I don't want to be famous. I don't want to gain fame, I want you to know the doctrine of MingDing, the doctrine of destiny. I want you to know the word of God, I want you to put it to a test, and see whether it works or not. If you follow the doctrine of destiny, and you set up a church, you will see the presence of God, you will see a temple, the tabernacle of Moses in the desert. It was set up with the revelation of our mighty God. That is why the glory of the Almighty God filled up the tabernacle. David and Solomon built up the temple of God according to the drawings that God revealed to David. Are you with me? According to God's revelation, he used his hand to draw for David, and David passed it onto Solomon, and he built a temple of the glory of the Almighty God. His glory filled up the place.

Today, you and I will follow the word of God to build a church according to the Word of God. They say God will surely fill out the place with glory. That is why we preach, not by man's wisdom, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. I came to you with great fear and trembling when I preach this. I am not a confident man, I am a man of fear, I know my weaknesses.

People say: "How come you have a weakness? How come you pray for people and they are healed but you aren't yourself?" I am an example of a sinner, a typical sinner. "Look at you, how do you have this?" This is a mark of my sin. And I, with fear and trembling, preach my message, not with wise and persuasive words, but with the demonstration of the Holy Spirit's power, so that your faith does not rest on me, not on my name, not on my wisdom, but God's power.

Know your weakness

Do not follow the way of Peter. You have to know that Peter is the kind of person who said, "Lord I am ready to go with you to prison and death", but denied Jesus Christ. He disowned the Lord three times. He denied "I do not know him". I don't know what kind of behaviour this is. Once you rely on your flesh, your carnal body, you are weak. You are better off knowing that you are weak. Know the weakness of yourself: "Oh Lord, I may disown you, I may dishonour you, so God, have mercy on me." Do not behave like as if you were a hero. It will not work. And that is called knowing God. If you think you know, you don't know, and if you think you do not know, you will search for it. And that is exactly what I have been doing.

I have been doing the past years, that so many years, that my tears could have filled up a mineral water bottle. I cry before the Lord because I do not know how to build the church, I don't know how to lead the Bible study. I read it again and again, but I do not understand. And even today, in Proverbs 30, I read it again and again and I still don't know what it is talking about. And in the past, I led the Bible study, Proverbs 1, 2, 3, 4, and lived in great fear and trembling. Because I do not know if I am preaching the will of God. That is why I kneel and pray, and prepare the Bible study material.

Everything we think we know, we do not know. We will think we are someone, but we are not someone. If we think we are weak we will seek God, pray before God, and he will reveal himself to us. This is the kind of attitude you and I need. My friend, listen to the author of Proverbs 30. The author is saying, "Oh Lord, have mercy on me, do not refuse me before I die, give me my daily bread." What kind of wisdom is this? It is not the wisdom of man, it is a man of wisdom. It is not the wisdom of man, but God's, and we need to assume we don't know and we need it. If you think you are strong, you are weak, if you think that you are weak, you need God, and God will become your strength. This is exactly true.

Years ago, I kneeled before God, saying, "God, I do not know how I am going to lead the Bible study of the book of Genesis." So I kneeled before God and prayed, but God did nothing. I prayed another day and still got nothing. And prayed two weeks later, and I got Genesis chapter 1. If you look at Genesis chapter 1, chapter 2, chapters 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and I was just finishing chapter 33 a couple of days ago, you will know that what I am talking about is something very different from typical teaching. It is very different. You know what? What I got is not from the revelation of man, but of God.

We have the image of God!

Years ago, I kneeled before God after two weeks. I did not understand the book of Genesis, chapter 1, and after two weeks, it was a wonderful day. I still remember that day. God revealed it to me. "You are created by the image of God!" Oh! Yes, I know that! Do you know what the image of God is? Then he said, look at Genesis chapter 1. I have the image of God, so what? And God said, "You have to do what I did!" I said, "God, you created the universe and the whole world, how am I going to do that again? I cannot do that!" Then God said, "A lot of people living in chaos, in darkness, in confusion, let my spirit move in that place. You pray, and my spirit will move in that place. You speak forth, and things will happen. You say, 'Let there be light, and there will be light."

A couple of days after, that happened. I was in my office, and someone walked into my office, a young church member. The eyes could not focus anymore, his work was not so steady, the guy before committing suicide, had very scary behaviour. He looked at me, stared at me, talking nonsense. "Oh, God, this is a man living in darkness, in chaos." Good! I have time to exercise what God has given to me. So I prayed with him in tongues, for an hour. And I saw that within the hour, I declared that the light come and filled up the hope because he lost hope of the future. Low salary, girlfriend ran away, and a lot of unlucky things happened. I prayed for him, and he opened his mouth and prayed with me, his eyes regained focus, hope started to refill his heart, and everything came back to normal. Oh yes, it works! Yes, of course it works.

So now I know that I have the image of God, God does things this way, and I do it this way. He is my refuge, God is my shield, he is my everything, my treasure, and I will follow him because I need him all my life. I said God, lead me on. I'm not going to rely on my strength. I'm not going to preach my own name. I'm going to preach the name of the Almighty God, our Lord Jesus Christ. God is with me everywhere I go. The miracles, signs and wonders follow me, and it is so exciting. A lot of people, my church members, are blessed, one way or another. They come in here, and they experience God. Even people who never came into the church. They listen to the sermon and prayer, and 20 years of sleeping problems were resolved, years of cancer were healed, and pain is gone. A lot of problems could not stand up before God.

Don't think that you have wisdom

And that is the church built according to the revelation of Jesus Christ. I will set up my church on the Rock, the Rock of Truth. And I will give you the keys of heaven, and you can open the doors and cabinets of heaven. You can gain access to the arsenal of heaven, you can get access to the great treasures in heaven and you can have the most strategic weapons to fight the devil, all because I know I am weak, I live in fear and trembling. That is how I started. I did not know what I was going to do, I lost my job, I have lots of installments to pay, I don't know where the money will come from, and I do not know what I am going to do, but God made a way for me.

This is the word of God. I will repeat it: If you think you are someone, you are no one in front of God. If you think you are no one in front of God, you are someone. If you think you have wisdom before God, you don't have wisdom. You will not know God. If you don't think you have wisdom and shoot for it, God will reveal it to you, that is exactly what the Bible says. Come on, my brothers and sisters. That is why, if you read 1 Corinthians very carefully, chapter 1, chapter 2, you would know that this is a very interesting part, a very interesting topic.

I'm not going to repeat the 1 Corinthians, I am talking about Proverbs 30. I am going on about Proverbs 30. What the author is trying to reveal, is knowing the weakness of ourselves. Do not be full of confidence in yourself, but have the fear and trembling before God. And you will work out your salvation.

Work out salvation

Now and then, Christians say: "I am saved, I have my salvation!" Are you sure? I am not so sure. What is the meaning of salvation? There is a lot of confusion out there. People say, "Salvation is when you go to heaven after you die!" Others say, "Pastor, can you pray for this guy?" When I ask why, they reply, "This guy is dying! Can you save him to heaven?" Am I selling tickets to heaven? I am not someone who can do that! I would make a great fortune, selling tickets to heaven! 100 dollars, 200 dollars, 1000 dollars! This is a front seat, this is the best spot near the seat! I am not selling music concert tickets.

You have to work out your salvation, it's not about going to heaven, it's about restoring the image of God. Before you die, you ask God, do not dishonor him, do not disown him. Take refuge with God. Never follow the example of Peter, but follow the example of apsotle Paul. After Christ chose Peter as the first apostle. Why chose Paul then? Because Peter failed to accomplish what Jesus Christ gave to him. Our Lord Jesus Christ gave the apostle Peter the right and authority to preach to the Gentiles. The first Gentile believers accepted the Lord through the hand of Apostle Peter. But after that, Peter became an apostle of the Jews. God had no choice but to choose the apostle Paul. He chose another person, apostle Paul who made it, Paul feared and trembled before God, he preached the Word of God, he preached the name of God, set up the body of Christ, and the churches were filled with the glory of Almighty God. He fought aginst with all of the false teachings in those times. There were a lot of false teachings. If you read the book of Galatians, then you will know that the apostle Paul was confronting people like James and Peter. He had the kind of characters like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. He inherited the same thing.

Do not slander, God chose people for a reason

"Do not slander a servant to their master or they will curse you and you will pay for it." (Provers 30:10)

You need to know that slander is not something good. A lot of people say "God, change my pastor!" Do you want to teach God which pastor to choose? You take your self-righteousness and tell God whom to choose. You form a prayer team and the whole team prays for the pastor. Do you know what will happen? You have to pay for it. You are doing something you are not supposed to do. "Oh Lord, please change my pastor! Change the president! Change the leader of the country!" People pray like that. Why? Is that what you're supposed to do? How come you are so sure that you're praying for the right thing? That is called slander.

We do not have a prayer team. Every one of us is a man of prayer. We do not have these kinds of prayer teams that pray for this or that behind the scenes. No, all of us are praying. People ask us how often we have prayer meetings. Can you guess: once a week? once a month? Actually we have prayer meetins 10 times a week! We have one session in the morning and another session during the night, from Monday to Friday. Sometimes we even have prayer meetings on Saturday and Sunday. I'm saying that we have to understand how important it is not to slander a servant or a pastor. God knows how to deal with him.

Your job is to read the Bible and behave better. Many years ago, we started to study Samuel 1. No matter what, Samuel never slandered his boss. He had a good relationship with Eli and Eli's sons. Samuel knew what his duty was. He never said, "God, change him!" You know that somehow, a lot of Christians do this. A brother of mine left the church, gathered a lot of people, walked around the church, and prayed for the church for many years. After praying for years, I don't know what to say to him. "Oh God, change the pastor, don't go astray, don't do this, don't do that! God, you need do this, you need do that." Oh, how dare they are! That is called slandering the servant of God. God made him like this. It is none of your business. You may not agree with me. But never mind. You do your job.

After many years, this brother got cancer. He thought that he was a watchman. He received the gift of the watchman. Is this a slender man or a watchman? What is a watchman? Many people do not have knowledge, or wisdom or understanding; they do not know God, but they think they were doing the right thing. I feel sorrow for this. I better reveal this to you. You need to know what slander is, and don't do it.

You have to know self-righteousness

If you continue to read verses 11 to 14, 15 to 16, and 17. There is a different thing to learn. Let me highlight this to you.

Let me repeat what we have learned so far. Point number 1. You have to know that you do not know. Point number 2. You have to search for the answer according to the Word of God. Point number 3. Knowing your weakness, don't be so sure and rely on your confidence. Rely on the power of the Holy Spirit. Point number 4. Knowing a slander is called wisdom, Point number 5. You have to know self-righteousness.

According to apostle Paul, the Jews don't know God because they take self-righteousness.

"Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness." (Romans 10:3, NIV)

The Jews don't know the righteousness of God. That is a big problem. If you read:

"There are those who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers; those who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not cleansed of their filth; those whose eyes are ever so haughty, whose glances are so disdainful; those whose teeth are swords and whose jaws are set with knives to devour the poor from the earth and the needy from among mankind." (Proverbs 30:11-14, NIV)

Why are they doing this? They all believed that they were doing the right thing. But you must know how horrible it is to hold on to our view. If you have a learning problem, it's because you learn according to your thinking. Never go according to your view and self-righteousness.

You never know enough

"The leech has two daughters, 'Give!Give!' they cry. There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say, 'Enough!': the grave, the barren womb, land, which is never satisfied with water, and fire, which never says, 'Enough!' (Proverbs 30:15-16, NIV)

You say "Oh I have a feeling that I don't know God enough!". That is not the point you want to raise now. If you don't know God enough, you will search for it. But over here, they say that three things are never satisfied, the leech, the grave, the barren womb, and the land which is never satisfied with water. People are never satisfied with what they own. That's why they cause a lot of problems in their life. They won't be happy at all.

Respect your parents

So today I am going to quickly go through point number 7. You have to respect your parents.

"The eye that mocks a father, that scorns an aged mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures."

You need to know to respect your parent. Respecting your parents is one of the things in the 10 commandments. There will be curses; if you don't know the Word of God, you will think your way, do the thing in your way, then you will bring destruction on yourself in the end.

We should know we don't know many things

Point number 8.

"There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand: the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship on the high seas, and the way of a man with a young woman." (Proverbs 30:18-19, NIV)

We have to know that we do not understand. If we know something, there are always more things beyond our understanding. If you understand one of them, then you will be a man of wisdom.

Do not reverse the authority

Point number 10:The reverse of authority.

"Under three things the earth trembles, under four it cannot bear up: a servant who becomes king, a godless fool who gets plenty to eat, a contemptible woman who gets married, and a servant who displaces her mistress." (Proverbs 30:21-23, NIV)

It's not because the king dies; then the servant becomes the king. No, it's talking about how the servant behaves like a king and a king who acts like a servant. The Earth will tremble if the authority reverses in a family. All the authority comes from God. In the family, the son is like the father, the father is like the son, and the mother is like the daughter. It's very messy, there is no proper authority in the family and the devil will surely work in that place. The servant who becomes the king, the servant who displaces his mistress. All of this is called reverse of the authority. You are supposed to do what you are supposed to do. Do not go beyond your responsibility. If you do what the king is supposed to do, you are at the risk of getting cursed. You need to know that God doesn't like this.

Learn the wisdom from animals

"Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer, hyraxes are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags; locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks; a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings' palaces." (Proverbs 30:24-28, NIV)

You have to know that even an insect has the idea of authority. They have the respect of authority. The people who slander, who seek their righteousness instead of God's, who never feel satisfied, they never respect their parents, they don't know what they do not know, they reverse the authority. They have to learn from animals. The people will be worse than animals if we live by our swords, our strength, and our carnal capability. Then there will be curses. Esau lived by the sword and Jacob lived by the blessing of almighty God. Jacob took refuge in our God, that's exactly what blessing is.

You have to know that stirring up anger produces strife, you have to know the cause and effect if you follow idiotic ideas. The author is trying to tell us that people have no wisdom, they try to take their self-righteousness, they don't pay respect to their parents or authority, they never feel enough, they lived by their swords, they behave like kings, like a lino, like a strutting rooster, like a hay goat, that's called living under a curse. This chapter is pretty long and I'm pretty rushed for the second part of it. But if you pay attention from verses 1 to 9, you will become a man of wisdom. You have to pay attention from verse 10 to the end of 33, then you will avoid curses and disasters because God is a God who curses and God is a God who blesses.

May the Lord bless you! I wish you the best and I wish all of us have wisdom and follow the teaching of Agur son of Jakeh. See you next week.
