Introduction

Let’s look at Matthew Chapter 1. To begin with, this chapter says that Abraham gave birth to Issac and Issac gave birth to Jacob until David was born and so and so forth until Jesus was born.

The presence of God is the key

There was a girl called Mary, who is the mother of Jesus. Before she was married, she just got pregnant unexpectedly and she was with child by the Holy Spirit. Joseph, the husband she was going to be married, decided to put her away privately. But the angel of the Lord told him to take her as her wife because that which is conceived in her body is of the Holy Spirit.

After reading the story, I think the theme of this chapter is called God is with us. One thing we must know is that our God desired to be with us. All the problems of human being lay in the fact that the relationship between us and God has been broken.

People get into a panic about the covid pandemic. In front of the coronavirus, we should know that we are just human being. But if God is with us, will this pandemic be a problem? Not at all.
But what people God like to be with? This is a sharp question.

To be like Jesus

If you want do what Jesus did, God will be with us. Have you ever heard that Jesus suffered from the coronavirus? Have you seen that Jesus was knocked down by covid? Have you seen that Jesus was hungry to death after 40-day fasting? No! As long as God is with us, we wont be afraid of anything. So when we read Bible, we need to know the desire of God. So I call the theme of this chapter is that God is with us.

Let’s look at Isaiah chapter 66:1-5

This is what the LORD says:
“Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me?
Where will my resting place be?
2 Has not my hand made all these things,
and so they came into being?”
declares the LORD.
“These are the ones I look on with favor:
those who are humble and contrite in spirit,
and who tremble at my word.
3 But whoever sacrifices a bull
is like one who kills a person,
and whoever offers a lamb
is like one who breaks a dog’s neck;
whoever makes a grain offering
is like one who presents pig’s blood,
and whoever burns memorial incense
is like one who worships an idol.
They have chosen their own ways,
and they delight in their abominations;
4 so I also will choose harsh treatment for them
and will bring on them what they dread.
For when I called, no one answered,
when I spoke, no one listened.
They did evil in my sight
and chose what displeases me.”
5 Hear the word of the LORD,
you who tremble at his word:
“Your own people who hate you,
and exclude you because of my name, have said,
‘Let the LORD be glorified,
that we may see your joy!’
Yet they will be put to shame.

God needs rest! When the relationship between humans and God is broken, god cannot find rest. God love humans and he will be with those who are humble and contrite in spirit,and who tremble at his word. If we build a church without presence of God, and we choose our own way. We will have grave consequences.

What it matters is if we are the people who are humble and contrite in spirit,and who tremble at his word. If we don’t fear and respect god’s words, we will be getting anxious about the trivial things in daily life. We will be anxious about our boss when the boss scold us. We will be anxious about the relationship with our colleague if there are some issues.

But if we only fear god and his words, god will be with us. And we wont be bothered by anything. During pandemic, people among us all get healed. How wonderful it is when god is with us.
Jesus came to the world and has fulfilled the mission of salvation, which bring the presence of god back to us.

To be with god, we need to fear his words and we need to know our god.
We need to do what Jesus did. In pursuit of being like jesus, we need to fear god’s words. We don’t pursue miracles but being like jesus. When we are eager to be like jesus and do what Jesus did, miracles just follow us.

God works through people

To be like Jesus, we need to know how god works. God is the god who plans and arranges things in proper order. If we have god with us, we will also deal with things very effectively instead of doing things without any thinking.

If you hear preachers say they make decisions by the holy spirit, you will be very careful. Paul teaches us tha we need to be full of the knowledge of his purpose, with all wisdom and experience of the Spirit. We have the knowledge in faith and we can articulate. So we must understand the way how god do things instead of doing things blindly.

God enjoys working with us. Till now, God is still choosing those he wants to work with.

There is a man called Bonnke who is from Germany. God chose him and said to him, “I will choose you to spread gospel to African. There are around 2 million of people believe in god because of his preaches. One day god said to him, “Bonnke, actually you are not the first one I chose. You are the fourth one but the former 3 they just didn’t obey my words. And Bonnke responded, “god, you don’t need to find the fifith one. Just leave it to me. Later I found that I was also the fourth one god chose. I said to god, “god, you don’t need to find the fifth one!

God works through man. If god choose you can me, what an honor. Don’t think that you came to our church by accident. I believe, god has a calling on you. God has a destiny for you!

People will probably ask, how do you know that god has chosen you. Because I believe, which can be seen from not only what I have said but also what I have done. I desire to be like Jesus and he is sure to be with us! How amazing it is!

God reveals the future to us thorough prophetic predictions

In The Final Quest, which was written by the prophet Rich Joyner, there is a prophetic revelation showing that what we are doing today are exactly some with the vision Rich Joyner saw. People go up to the mountain of the Lord , to the house of the God of Jacob, which means we keep climbing the mountains of knowing the truth of God. Till now, we are still moving forward and the power of battling with devils has been constantly manifested and devils and enemies of God have been defeated.

The healing and deliverance we do is different from most of the charismatic churches. The healing and deliverance is based on the constant pursuit of knowing god. When we keep climbing the mountains of knowing the truth of God, you will see the battle power has continuously increased. So blessed are those who among us.

Rick Joyner had also mentioned that God wiil raise up a small number of people for China to restore the truth in Bible and remove the mistakes in teachings. and he means those are Chinese people.

God reveals what are going to happen through the prophet that God is now using us. We are working with God to fulfil the destiny in the last time.

Today, in this time, our God is choosing you and me because God wants us to work with him to carry out his will and his plan!
